NFG S2 Championship - Round 4
Round 4 of the NFG Season Two Championships, including a rundown of the previous round, a look ahead to the finals, and a word from one of our sponsors!
NFG S2 Championships - Final Round Intro
The broadcast begins with the NFG logo and theme song, which soon disappear to be replaced by the figures of Lou and Tom, once again dressed in what appear to be 'mall Santa' and 'little helper' outfits, respectively. The screen behind the pair shows a generic Christmas scene.
TOM: "Welcome, ladies, gentlemen, and all of our other friends, to the final round of the New Fighting Generation's second season! As always, I'm your host, 'Tasty' Tom Bradley."
LOU: "And I'm his co-host, 'Loverboy' Lou Harris."
TOM: "And we're here to rundown the latest happenings in the World of NFG."
LOU: "Yep! We've got mystery, we've got tango, we've got wet t-shirt contests, and we've got the biggest run of refunded tickets in the history of Professional Fighting Worldwide."
TOM: "Even bigger than the tickets refunded for the exploding stadium last year?"
LOU: "Technically, PFW didn't end up handing out a single refund last year. They handed out out-of-court settlements instead."
TOM: "Touche. Well, it's not like us to court controversy -"
LOU: "We usually skip straight to the motel room with controversy."
TOM: "- but it seems as if the New Fighting Generation has continued to be plagued by it. Before we dive into that, though, I'd like to introduce on behalf of Professional Fighting Worldwide an exciting new spinoff show... NFG: Rivals!"
LOU: "Is it where we split the NFG fighters up into a boy band and a girl band and they compete to see who gets to stay in?"
TOM: "No, Lou, although that's a great idea. NFG: Rivals is going to be shot in Southtown, Japan, and follow the lives of students of six local schools as they train for and compete in a martial arts tournament."
LOU: "That sounds like a great idea too, Tom. And my granddaughter's favourite band is coming back for the opening ceremony!"
TOM: "What, Girls Aloud?"
LOU: "CYS, Tom."
TOM: "Let's not get heated, Lou. I don't know what the kids are listening to these days."
LOU: "I didn't know what the kids were listening to when I was your age, either. Oof."

NFG S2 Championships - Round 3 Rundown (1/2)
TOM: "Now, as for the rundowns of last round, let's start with the third place match for Season Two fighters Roxana and Arisa."
LOU: "Coincidentally, a mirror match of the first fight that the two of them had way back in the Odyssey, as we discussed before, and to the delight of NFG conspiracy theorists everywhere."
TOM: "And another match with dinner on the line."
LOU: "Well, choice of dinner. It seemed like dinner was going to be had by both sides regardless of the result."
TOM: "As things got underway, Arisa was quicker on the draw, taking the lead with two to the chest. From there, they seemed to be locked in a guarded back-and-forth until Roxana managed to lock in a counter."
Footage from the fight plays on the screen behind Tom and Lou, showing Arisa leaping backward over Roxana while swinging an origami staff down at her. The scorpion girl catches the weapon with her claws and knocks it aside before taking hold of the Texan and stinging her.
LOU: "Then it turned into a real brawl - as much as a battle between a scorpion contortionist and an origami-slinging cowgirl acrobat can be described as a brawl."
TOM: "Sounds like a circus show to me. To borrow a term from fellow commentators, a 'clown fiesta' might be apropos?"
LOU: "They were tearing strips off each other. Then, Roxana manage to disrupt Arisa's defense and hit her with a Killer Scorpion Roll."
TOM: "I think I had some of those from the sushi bar on the Mermaid."
LOU: "Well, Arisa wasn't ready for Roxana's sushi. That left her down for the count."
TOM: "Which means that Roxana was our third place contestant for the Season Two Fighters' Championship."
LOU: "I'm gonna be controversial here and say that that was even better than the first place match."

TOM: "Tell us what you really think about the final, Lou."
LOU: "Well, not much, since only one of the competitors showed up."
TOM: "Indeed. That was quite the mystery. It was announced shortly after Tanwen made her entrance that Albert Braendel would not be participating in the final for undisclosed reasons."
LOU: "Well, I'm sure you know what I'm thinking, Tom. The last time an NFG competitor missed a match in mysterious circumstances he later turned up on REDACTED."
TOM: "I thought he was kidnapped by female prisoners in Metro City."
LOU: "Well, that's what the rumours said, but of course we now know the truth. That he was actually REDACTED by REDACTED on REDACTED."
TOM: "Well, I'm pretty sure that isn't what's happened this time, Lou. Maybe Tanwen pushed Albert into a REDACTED."
LOU: "Maybe we'll never know, Tom. What we do know is that not only is Tanwen Cadwallader one of the Queens of REDACTED, she's now also the champion of the Season 2 Fighters Tournament."
TOM: "Congratulations to her, and of course, her fellow queen Chevy is in contention to be the Season 1 Fighters winner, which we'll be discussing after the break."

NFG S2 Championships Round 4 - Commercial Break
As the clip starts, the dramatic introduction of Twilight of the Thunder God by Amon Amarth blasts while a stage is shown washed out in white light and dry ice fog. From the backstage emerges a blond-haired figure in viking garb; as he pulls his helmet away and whips his flowing locks loose, it's revealed to be none other than BRIAN STORM. He smirks, takes two steps forward -
- then suddenly trips, tumbling down the hundreds-of-feet-long ramp that leads down to the ringside area. Thumps and cries of pain can be heard as the music cuts out.
When he gets to the bottom, he sits up, looking dazed, until from off-screen someone hands him a can of Dr. Thunder.
BRIAN STORM: "Wow! Thanks, dude!"
The pro wrestler cracks open the can and knocks it back. As he does, he seems to swell with power, rising up to his full height as the music starts playing again and the sound of thunder can be heard. He climbs triumphantly onto the apron, holding up the can as he smiles before tossing the empty away.
Unfortunately, when he starts to climb between the ropes, he ends up tangled in them somehow, killing the track again. Another hand reaches from off-screen with a can of Mountain Lightning. Brian manages to take a sip, and CGI lightning strikes him, allowing him to bust out of the ropes and into the ring with newfound vivacity and release a cry of victory to the heavens as the chorus of the song plays.
BRIAN STORM (voiceover): "Without Thunder and Lightning, can you really call it a Storm? Available at Wal-Mart."
NFG S2 Championships - Round 3 Rundown (2/2) & Finals
TOM: "Welcome back, fighting fans. Now, there's something I've been wanting to ask you, Lou. Do you know how to tango?"
LOU: "Well, if you'd asked me a few days ago, Tom, then my answer would have been a definite no. After spending time with the lovely people at La Catedral Tango Club in Buenos Aires, though, I consider myself quite the mover."
TOM: "Maybe we can give the viewers a demonstration later. Before that, though, we have two matches that took place in the tango club to discuss. As we mentioned in our previous broadcast, the semi-finals were turning into something of a double date. First up was the grudge match between Coco and Chevy, who always prove popular on our streaming service when they're up against each other."
LOU: "This wasn't really a grudge match though, Tom. Relations have been a lot less frosty between Coco and Chevy this season."
TOM: "Not judging by this clip, Lou."
The clip starts playing on the screen. Frost is seen swirling around Chevy as the air turns cold and crisp. Her arms become encased in several layers of frost that shatter into ice shavings as she blocks a series of punches by Coco.
LOU: "I see your point, Tom. Coco came dressed to impress for this match, but it was Chevy who stole the show with her fighting skills."
TOM: "Coco tried to steal it right back by getting down to a barely there black bikini."
A clip of a sopping wet Coco pulling off a sopping wet dress to end up in said bikini starts playing on the screen. The word REDACTED is positioned to cover her mostly-exposed posterior.
LOU: "That may have earned her the hearts of many of the clubgoers, but it was Chevy who won the fight and secured her place in the final. This was the first time the American had proved victorious in a solo match with the Brit, and it was quite the comprehensive win. It must be a big boost to her confidence coming off the back of her tag-team glory."
TOM: "It really does seem like it's Chevy Beaumont's year, Lou."
(Match link: http://motm.kicks-ass.net/log/idx/0012467.shtml)
LOU: "Of course, she'll have to get past the winner of the Hawksley and Buck match to call herself champion. Both boyfriends were in the audience and had a front row seat for the fight. The big surprise of the night was Hawksley Moore dressed in a suit."
TOM: "How long did that last, Lou?"
LOU: "Let's take a look."
A clip starts to play on the screen. Buck can be seen clawing at Hawksley's smart white shirt and shredding it in the process.
TOM: "That was the first move of the match, leaving the two brawlers having a bare-chested bar-fight."
LOU: "Which I'm sure Coco and Chevy enjoyed, since they'd now swapped places with the boys to take their turn as spectators."
TOM: "Talking of bar fights, with Hawksley and Buck involved, it was no surprise when this happened."
A clip plays on the screen showing Hawksley grabbing a chair and breaking it over Buck's head.
LOU: "Classic stuff there, Tom. I've broken a few chairs over opponents' heads in my time."
TOM: "You even broke one over my head after that disagreement we had about disco music."
LOU: "Fun times, Tom."
TOM: "In a much closer match, Hawksley took the win to go on to face Chevy in the final, meaning Coco and Buck will battle for third place."
LOU: "There had to be keys involved before partner swapping in my day, Lou."
TOM: "I didn't even know they had cars back then, Lou."
LOU: "On the subject of cars, I'm predicting a Chevy victory. It will be quite something to have Team Atlantis hold both the tag team and two individual titles."
TOM: "And I'm gonna go for Coco to grab third place from Buck. I'm sure whatever happens though, there'll be a happy ending for all four of them."
LOU: "You old romantic, you. Now, how about that tango?"
TOM: "It would be my pleasure, Lou."
As the credits roll, the two commentators can be seen dancing a rather clumsy tango to the NFG broadcast theme music.
