NFG Season One: The Final Tournament

The screen fills with highlights of various moments throughout the weeks of New Fighting Generation, from the matches in FightFest 2023, to the matches in Sunshine City, to the RUMBLE, and finally clips from the Metro City split. As they play, the voice of Tom speaks. "For an entire season, our New Fighting Generation prospects have been competing, from Southtown Japan to Metro City USA. They've gone from complete rookies on the fighting scene to experienced fighters, thanks to both the tutelage of their sponsors and the most valuable teacher that any fighter can learn from: BATTLE." The word BATTLE flashes over the footage as it plays, the music building in the background. "Now, they'll show just how far they've come, and just how far they can go, as they face each other in single-elimination tournament for the title of NFG CHAMPION." The word CHAMPION flashes over the footage as it continues, the bass dropping on the music. The names of each of the teams then start to appear as they're mentioned. "BLAZE..." A semi-transparent burning overlay shows shots of Laurel, Hawksley, Ayala, Braun, and Genie in action. "METAL..." A semi-transparent silver overlay shows shots of Djamila, Sarah, Kenzo, and Iris in action, alongside a dark John Doe-shaped silhouette. "THUNDER..." A semi-transparent electric blue overlay shows shots of Ichika, Chevy, Buck, Junko, and Hated R in action. "FROST..." A semi-transparent ice blue overlay shows shots of Coco, Nixie, Zarine and Buford in action, alongside a dark bake-danuki-shaped silhouette. "Who will win? Vote for your favourites now on New Fighting Generation dot com." All four teams are shown in descending horizontal lines at the same time as the words FINAL TOURNAMENT appear beneath the NFG logo. The camera returns to the studio to show the commentators once more as the recording ends. TOM: "Now, due to our late-season additions to the original 16-person roster, before the final tournament starts, we'll be having a round where the bottom four participants will compete for the last two spots on the bracket." LOU: "Thanks to her successes in her matches, and with Tamaki AWOL and John Doe leaving the competition, Laurel has made it out of that group and will be competing as our thirteenth seed." TOM: "And we can announce that all matches will be taking place at the Metro City Arena! Make sure to get your tickets online!" NFG Final Tournament Play-In: OOC Information

Hey doodz! Since we're looking at an 18-player roster in a standard sixteen-fighter bracket, as mentioned previously, the bottom four participants in the standings will be competing for seeding against our top two fighters in the standings. These are: ZARINE versus BRAUN JUNKO versus HATED R These matches are to be completed by EOD SUNDAY, OCTOBER 29TH. We'll then be proceeding with the main tournament. My suggestion is that those not scheduled for the preliminary matches use this time to get some extra free RP in! A final 8-point sponsor bonus AP package will also be rolled out over the next day or so. The tournament will be using the same rules as the previous NFG tournament. In the case of DKOs, the player with the higher final health total will be considered the winner. There will not be official bonus rounds this time, but feel free if you've been eliminated to seek RP or spectate the remaining matches. Thanks to everyone who's joined in on the NFG this year! - Pringer X
