KITTY: "Welcome back, fight fans. I don't know about you, but I've had enough of looking backwards. It's time to think to the future and talk about the final round of matches, and first up, it's our top two teams, Frost versus Metal!" -==TEAM FROST==- versus -==TEAM METAL==- COCO versus IRIS ZARINE versus SARAH BUFORD versus DJAMILA TAMAKI versus KENZO NIXIE versus JOHN DOE KITTY: "The results here could make a big difference to the end of season standings for the teams. A good showing by Frost could see them knocking Metal from first place, a spot they've comfortably held from when the teams were first formed back in Southtown. Of course, once this round is concluded, then it's back to every fighter for themselves, as the thrilling spectacle of the tournament gets underway, but more about that next time. For now, let's focus on the matchups for this round!" -==COCO==- versus -==IRIS==- Location: Skywalk Lane (CAFEWALK) KITTY: "So do you remember back in The Rumble when Coco called Iris babes? I thought that was pretty cute. It was a real shame the two of them never got to hang out together more when they were on Team Blaze, especially since they're both posh and British. Now they've got the chance to fix that. Last round Iris got to spend time in a club with Hawksley and this time she's going to go for coffee at a cafe with Coco! Better late then never for that Blaze bonding. They'll obviously be fighting as well, but I think it'll still give them a chance for some real quality girl time. As for who will be the winner? I'd say that's friendship." Kitty smiles sweetly at the camera. -==ZARINE==- versus -==SARAH==- Location: West Side Rooftops KITTY: "Wow, someone is really trying to cast Sarah as a horror movie heroine. First Laurel and now Zarine. If she plays her cards right, she could be the next Jamie Lee or Neve. She would even be able do the soundtrack for her movies since she's a dee jay. As for Sarah's chances in this match? I'm not sure. I would have expected her to get the win against Laurel, but obviously someone wasn't sticking to the script, so all bets are off here. Especially after Zarine's strong showing against Chevy. I've been impressed overall by the new fighters on the block in the last couple of rounds. Especially Hated R, but not necessarily for his combat ability." -==BUFORD==- versus -==DJAMILA==- Location: Vito's Restaurant KITTY: "Now what could be nicer than a lovely romantic meal at an Italian restaurant? Imagine, if you will, low lighting, delicious food, fine wine and ambient music. You've got all dressed up for your date and then in walks...Buford! That would make me angry enough to fight too. Let's see how long Djamila can cope with the Canadian's own unique brand of charm before she's smacking him with her staff. I'm cheering her on in this match, and after her perfect performance in the prison, who would bet against her?" -==TAMAKI==- versus -==KENZO==- Location: Arcade (ON GRID) KITTY: "An arcade? That's gonna be amazing! Imagine getting to spend all day playing on the machines. I mean, they'll probably do some fighting too, but still! Oh, there's a thought. Will the machines mess with Kenzo's tech stuff? That would kinda suck. Anyway, I think both of these fighters are a total knockout, so I'm gonna go for the draw." -==NIXIE==- versus -==JOHN DOE==- Location: Prison Center KITTY: "Oh no! Is this a good idea? Surely John Doe is too pretty for prison. Nixie, though? She's gonna fit right in. Have you seen the way she uses that metal straw? She'll be running the place before long. Let's just hope she can pull off one of her amazing escapes and actually leaves at the end of the match. We wanna see her in the tournament too! As for the result, I think I'm gonna go for another dee kay oh. Nixie has already got two in a row, so let's see if she can complete the set." (Continued in the next post!)

KITTY: "Now we move on to Blaze against Thunder, who are our less successful teams. At least, if we're going in terms of points. Personally, I think any team who has Lyraelle as a sponsor is already a winner. Did I ever tell you how I got my big break? Lyraelle was hosting a question session for her fans and mine was one of the questions that got chosen. The rest, as they say, is history! She's been so sweet to me and it's a true honour to help support her in fights. I don't mind at all that she gets me to perform one of her moves for her. I'm sure she's got much better things to be saving her energy for, like getting her ponytail swishy or something. All of her employees totally love her and I know she's only being playful when she makes all those comments about cat girls. Hi Lyraelle if you're watching!" -==TEAM BLAZE==- versus -==TEAM THUNDER==- AYALA versus ICHIKA BRAUN versus JUNKO GENIE versus BUCK LAUREL versus HATED R HAWKSLEY versus CHEVY KITTY: "I think these teams are now mostly playing for pride points rather expecting to be victorious but the fighters themselves still have a lot to prove. We've got two matchups here involving the newcomers to the contest against each other, and I'm intrigued to see how those will turn out. First, though, I wanna discuss two of our original fighters." -==AYALA==- versus -==ICHIKA==- Location: Drippin' Style KITTY: "What a fun place for this fight! Ichika famously changed up her image earlier in the contest and Ayala is mostly known for wearing fur. I think they'd both enjoy a shopping spree, and where better than this place? It's the best boutique to shop at in Metro City, and believe me, I've tried them all. As for the action itself, this is the first time these two have faced each other officially. I did hear some rumours about some training exercise or something between some of the members of Blaze, Thunder and Frost, but there's no footage, so I say it didn't happen. We all know things only count if they're on camera. As for who's gonna win, it's really too close to call. It could honestly go either way. Obviously I'll be keeping my claws crossed for an Ichika win though." -==BRAUN==- versus -==JUNKO==- Location: The Dead Squirrel KITTY: "Isn't Junko a little young to be fighting in bars? Hopefully she won't get blind drunk. I reckon this will be more up Braun's street, since he hangs out with Hawksley. My spies say the amount of empty bottles and cans put out for recycling at Blaze headquarters is ridiculous. That's not even counting what Zog drinks, since he supplies his own keg. Of course, there's always a risk that Junko just burns the place down. I think my buddy Zander has his work cut out keeping this one under control. I'm hoping for a Junko win and I think she may just snatch it." -==GENIE==- versus -==BUCK=- Location: Marble Lake (DEFAULT) KITTY: "Thank goodness they've found a more fitting place for Genie to fight this time. A lovely lake in a park is much more suitable than a prison for the Swiss Miss. My boy Buck would handle anywhere though. Did you see him in that horrible alley with John Doe? Course you did, we've all watched the reruns of that one. He handled it like a pro. I think he's gonna be the one in charge here, too. I'm calling it now. Buck for the win!" -==LAUREL==- versus -==HATED R=- Location: Hood Fight Club KITTY: "Here's the second of those newbie matchups. I have no fear at all about either of these fighters being able to cope at The Hood Fight Club. Laurel is super scary and Hated R has all those people with him. As for the result? Hmmm. I would love to say Hated R would win this, because honestly he's my favourite besides Buck, but I think Laurel might snatch the match. Don't worry though, Hated, you'll always be a winner in my eyes." -==HAWKSLEY==- versus -==CHEVY=- Location: Abigail's Scrap Metal KITTY: "So here we are at the last matchup of the round and it's one that gossip fans will surely be watching. As you may recall, Tom and Lou discussed on numerous occasions earlier in the season the rumours that these two were romantically involved. According to Hawksley's now viral video he's still free and single however, so it seems that there was no truth in the stories. Still not sure? You might wanna keep a a look out for the body language when they get to grapple. With him using fire and her using water, things are sure to get steamy! Results wise, I'm going for Chevy all the way. They both have flawless records in Metro City, but she's got the full force of Team Thunder behind her. Go Thunder!" The matchups disappear from behind Kitty on the screen to be replaced with the NFG logo. KITTY: "Well, that brings us to the end of the show, fight fans! Thank you for sticking with me while Tom and Lou were otherwise engaged. If you happen to run into me around Metro City, be sure to come over and say hi!" Congratulations on the continued 100% completion streak of matches for the season, doodz! It's the last round before the FINAL TOURNAMENT! All matches are due for EOD SUNDAY, OCTOBER 15TH. Make sure to get in touch with your scene partner as soon as possible either by @mail or otherwise! As always, there will be no extensions. If you haven't got your matches started by MONDAY, OCTOBER 9TH after trying to schedule with your scene partner, or you're having trouble closing out your match in a timely fashion, then get in touch with me. As before, if a match is in progress but isn't finished in time, the result will be counted as a DRAW. If a match hasn't started, it will be considered not to have happened for one reason or another (to be discussed with me) and will not be worth any points. Remember that matches this split are worth 6 NFG points in total! Losses are worth 1 point, Draws are worth 3 points, and Wins are worth 5 points.
