NFG Sunset Interviews: John Doe

Pringer X
The New Fighting Generation has begun releasing a second series of interviews with the prospects after the first half of the season has ended with the RUMBLE. They've been titled the 'Sunset Interviews' in respect of the competition moving on from Sunshine City. This interview features John Doe... and friends! 1.) What has been your best moment in the NFG so far? Matt: "Hey, yo, so my man JD and I were talking about this just the other day. Best moment? Had to be when Titania totally fucked up kicking that cha--" JD: "Hhfmmjkrrlfmmfh..." Matt: "...Ah, yeah, for real what I meant to say was, that match with Genie in the book shop, saving the elephant statue and making her go all red? Yeah, best moment. That babe has class. 2.) What has been your worst moment in the NFG so far? JD: "Ugh." Ms. Alexander: "My client is unable to go into the specifics of the matter, but a defamation suit was filed against him by an individual that shall remain nameless. Apparently this Fine, Upstanding citizen of great moral fiber believes that being discovered sleeping partially unclothed upon company property constitutes an invasion of his privacy, and an unwarranted mark against his character." 3.) Which other NFG competitor has most surprised you? JD: "Ichhhhhh." Miranda: "Oh, definitely Ms. Kasumoto-san. Her speaking out against that horrible Internet atheist during the Rumble was inspiring. I wish more people would be as free and expressive with their spirituality as she was. So brave. 4.) How do you think you've changed as a person since joining the NFG? JD: "Rr--" Titania: "Well he's definitely a lot handsomer. I mean, Johnny has always been a hotty but with those new scars? And he didn't even get mad when I put on the nurse outfit!" 5.) Which sponsor team would you like to be drafted to for the second half of the season? JD: "Mttthr." Matt: "Look Doebros and Doedettes--OWW, Shit!" Titania: "Doedettes SUCKS!" Matt: "Shit shit, alright, damn girl...Listen all you Doe fans, there's no use bailing on a good thing. Team Metal is state of the art. The best facilities, the best staff, the best tech. JD will work with any team that has him, as he's a Pro YouKnowWhatI'mSayin', but he's down with Metal."

NFG Sunset Interviews: Hawksley

Pringer X
The New Fighting Generation has begun releasing a second series of interviews with the prospects after the first half of the season has ended with the RUMBLE. They've been titled the 'Sunset Interviews' in respect of the competition moving on from Sunshine City. This interview features Hawksley! Q1. What has been your best moment in the NFG so far? A1. Getting to the final of the tournament back in Southtown. I could always handle myself in a fight, so I could, but proving I could battle my way past the likes of John Doe, Coco and Djamila to reach the last two, made me think it was something I could take more seriously, rather than it just being a laugh on a night out. Q2. What has been your worst moment in the NFG so far? A2. When Coco kicked Chevy in the ribs after their match was done. I thought we'd all been having a grand old time with a bit of banter flying. I was enjoying the show, so I was. When Pops put the boot in though, the whole tone took a turn for the worse. I've still not sorted things out with her after that. It's a shame because we've had some good times together in the past. Q3. Which other NFG competitor has most surprised you? A3. Ichika. That kid is a fecking bad ass. I can't say I noticed her too much in the early days, other than her asking me to sort things out in the hotel bar, but she's come a long way in the contest so far and I don't think we've seen anywhere near the potential she has. Q4. How do you think you've changed as a person since joining the NFG? A4. I don't think I have too much, truth be told. I'm still the same fella who likes a few beers with his friends and fun where I can find it. I suppose I might have become more independent. I was still living with my mammy and da back home, getting my laundry done for me and my meals placed on the table. Now I've discovered the wonders of laundrettes and takeaway menus. Q5. Which sponsor team would you like to be drafted to for the second half of the season? A5. Now this is a toughie. Obviously I'm very much on brand with Blaze, but other than when Mitsuru took us to the dojo and flashed her cash around, I don't feel like we had too much support. We were kinda just left to our own devices, to fend for ourselves. Then there's the Zog issue. He actually came to my fight and cheered for my opponent. I expect this kind of behaviour from Coco, but he's supposed to be a fecking sponsor. If I was gonna stay put, I'd wanna see a lot more loyalty and some extra effort put in. Metal I don't know much about, other than they know how to win and have the punchy woman, which could be cool. Frost, I've had my runs in with. Working with Juri would be challenging to say the least, considering the last time I seen her, I set her on fire twice. Abigail is someone that interests me. I think I could get on with that fella just fine. Who's left? Oh yeah, Thunder. I've got to know Ariastra more recently and she's a good sort, so she is. She's been helping me out with the mess I got myself into at The Rumble. My face is healing up grand. Lyraelle is infamous, so I'd be intrigued what she had to offer. The other three seem kinda mysterious and untouchable, so I'm not sure what they'd make of a straight forward fella like myself. Whatever happens though, I'll continue to give my all to the team I represent.

NFG Sunset Interviews: Sarah

Pringer X
The New Fighting Generation has begun releasing a second series of interviews with the prospects after the first half of the season has ended with the RUMBLE. They've been titled the 'Sunset Interviews' in respect of the competition moving on from Sunshine City. This interview features Sarah, AKA DJ Supernova! 1.) What has been your best moment in the NFG so far? Just one? Well, to be honest, I'd have to say the time I had that fight at the club. It felt interesting being a dancer on the floor instead of handling the music. 2.) What has been your worst moment in the NFG so far? To be honest, it hasn't been that bad really, although I am a bit disappointed that I didn't do better in the rumble. 3.) Which other NFG competitor has most surprised you? I can't just pick one individual fighter. Each one of them has their own unique quirks to them and their fighting styles, and as a result they've each left their impressions on me! I have to say, they all were a unique surprise to me. 4.) How do you think you've changed as a person since joining the NFG? I've definitely learned where some of my strengths and weaknesses lie, so that's helped me to work on where I need to improve. 5.) Which sponsor team would you like to be drafted to for the second half of the season? To be honest, I really don't care, as I've had a real blast so far and I'm sure whatever team I'm drafted to will be just as much fun as before!

NFG Sunset Interviews: Djamila

Pringer X
The New Fighting Generation has begun releasing a second series of interviews with the prospects after the first half of the season has ended with the RUMBLE. They've been titled the 'Sunset Interviews' in respect of the competition moving on from Sunshine City. This interview features Djamila! What has been your best moment in the NFG so far? Team Metal, the way this awesome woman taught me important things, allowing me better myself. What has been your worst moment in the NFG so far? When my father tried to end me. Because he saw me on NFG, on television. But it was also a life lesson. Which other NFG competitor has most surprised you? Iris and Ayala. They have been awesome in the rumble. How do you think you've changed as a person since joining the NFG? I learned a lot, and I will keep learning. I got better as a fighter, but as a person as well. Which sponsor team would you like to be drafted to for the second half of the season? Metal was awesome, but it's not up to me where I end up. So wherever I happen to be, I will make the best of it.

NFG Sunset Interviews: Coco

Pringer X
The New Fighting Generation has begun releasing a second series of interviews with the prospects after the first half of the season has ended with the RUMBLE. They've been titled the 'Sunset Interviews' in respect of the competition moving on from Sunshine City. This interview features Coco! 1. What has been your best moment in the NFG so far? Coco: "I know I'm probably going to get cancelled for saying this, but it was definitely the moment I gave Chevy that kick she had coming. I think that's the moment that people started realising that I'm someone who shouldn't be taken for granted." 2. What has been your worst moment in the NFG so far? Coco: "The ride home from Frost's warehouse. Talk about toxic atmo. It was so bad I decided to take the bus. In Sunshine City! Goodness. Can you imagine?" 3. Which other NFG competitor has most surprised you? Coco: "Chevelle Beaumont. I thought she was a sweet, honest country bumpkin. Turns out she's as slippery as those pigs she likes to wrestle, even when she isn't throwing a wet t-shirt contest." 4. How do you think you've changed as a person since joining the NFG? Coco: "I've realised that this whole fighting business means a lot more than the lark I thought it was. It's about showing who you really are. And it turns out, I'm really a badass bitch. Oh, sorry, am I allowed to swear?" 5. Which sponsor team would you like to be drafted to for the second half of the season? Coco: "Whoever wants me had best have their act together. I don't fancy doing the whole sweeping-my-own-dojo thing again, and I'm not going to be pissing in buckets or sleeping in a warehouse. I want a sponsor who sees me, you know? Someone who can at least sus out my favourite soda."

NFG Sunset Interviews: Ichika

Pringer X
The New Fighting Generation has begun releasing a second series of interviews with the prospects after the first half of the season has ended with the RUMBLE. They've been titled the 'Sunset Interviews' in respect of the competition moving on from Sunshine City. This interview features Ichika! 1. What has been your best moment in the NFG so far? "I know it only just happened, but the Rumble. Realising that so many people believe in me and want to see me do well is not something I was prepared for. Thank you all for your support, it truly means the world to me." 2. What has been your worst moment in the NFG so far? "When Han-sensei kidnapped Coalbridge-san. I understand that..." There is a meaningful pause. "... this was a training exercise which had been agreed by all parties. But in that moment, all I could think was that something dreadful had happened and we were going to be seriously hurt trying to stop it. I did not acquit myself well in the ensuing, training exercise, either. For that I am very sorry." 3. Which other NFG competitor has most surprised you? "Bouvier-san. I honestly do not think it is possible for me to predict what her next move will be at any given moment. She is a mystery to me. From the outside, I would not have thought that her fighting style would be so effective, but when I faced it, it was as though I were playing Go and she was playing Chess. Even in the Rumble, she took me by surprise. I very much look forward to facing her again." 4. How do you think you've changed as a person since joining the NFG? "It is hard to know where to start. I am no longer afraid to walk my own path. I have made friends, and I am learning to trust myself. It has been an incredible journey." 5. Which sponsor team would you like to be drafted to for the second half of the season? "Thunder. It is only thanks to the trust and faith of my sponsors that I have come as far as I have. I have no interest in other sponsors at this time." She smiles, cheekily. "Besides. I would have to change my jacket, and I like my jacket."

NFG Sunset Interviews: Chevy

Pringer X
The New Fighting Generation has begun releasing a second series of interviews with the prospects after the first half of the season has ended with the RUMBLE. They've been titled the 'Sunset Interviews' in respect of the competition moving on from Sunshine City. This interview features Chevy! 1.) What has been your best moment in the NFG so far? Chevy: "Oh, it was definitely the Rumble. The time when I-- Shoot, I wasn't gonna... anyway. It -was- definitely the Rumble! I felt like it was my final test as a fighter, gettin' to put all my skills to the test. I got to experience what it's like to be, like, fully 'in the zone', where everythin' just felt natural." 2.) What has been your worst moment in the NFG so far? Chevy: "Uh... totally misreadin' the wind in my fight against Djamila. I felt like we had a pretty even match, goin' pretty much toe-to-toe, and then *whoop*. Splat, skeeter on a windshield." 3.) Which other NFG competitor has most surprised you? Chevy: "Well, I do wanna say Iris surprised me the most. I mean, we talked a lil' before the draft and I didn't get the sense that she'd even stick around, but comin' up on the tail end of the Rumble, Iris showed she had just as much pluck as the rest of us!" 4.) How do you think you've changed as a person since joining the NFG? Chevy: "Oh, I... realized I gotta stop tryin' to help some people. Some people are okay takin' the warning that the stovetop is hot. But others you just gotta let 'em get their fingers on the burner." 5.) Which sponsor team would you like to be drafted to for the second half of the season? Chevy: "Team Thunder! Ain't no slight to Team Frost -- thanks again for thinking of me! It's been a thrill ride and a half! I feel like I've learned so much, and the support has been off the charts. Five and a half stars!"

NFG Sunset Interviews: Buford

Pringer X
The New Fighting Generation has begun releasing a second series of interviews with the prospects after the first half of the season has ended with the RUMBLE. They've been titled the 'Sunset Interviews' in respect of the competition moving on from Sunshine City. This interview features Buford, The Faithless Samurai, Warrior of Atheism's Might! 1. What has been your best moment in the NFG so far? "It was when Abigail personally assigned me a special trainer, one who was so experienced in my own personal life journey. I was at one of my lowest points in the whole event, and I almost quit and returned home. Can you imagine, me giving up being a ronin to work like a clerk or in retail? How embarrassing for someone as brilliant and talented as I am, and Abigail saw that potential, and helped me when I needed it. I hope some day, Abigail can meet my mother, so he can be her new boyfriend, or even a Stepfather Into Lotsa Fighting. Yes, yes, he is practically my age, but one of my bullies in High School was my age, and imagine my surprise when I found out he was the latest of my mother's beau!" 2. What has been your worst moment in the NFG so far? "Well until the Rumble, it was when Chevelle rejected my appreciation of her wonderful Star War trinket. Alas, and to tell you, it aches my kokoro (that is, my heart) to describe this, but it was discovering how much Ichika, that is, Kasumoto-chan, was intellectually defiled by those spiritual idiots. You can imagine the raw emotional agony I suffered when she revealed how she had let herself become stupefied by those hucksters. Sadly, the only way she will be saved from those insane cultists is when their religious lies are unveiled in such a traumatic level, that it may very well break her spirit. But, that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make for her sake." 3. Which other NFG competitor has most surprised you? "Kenzo, of all people. I am surprised he hasn't showed me the respect I deserve in our rivalry. I would imagine with being so important in his day to day battling, he would almost admire me for our unique and mutually beneficial rivalry. But I found out he was, dare I say, trolling me while I was incapacitated from drinking that Buck fellow's bucket of mouth fluids. I certainly think he has earned the right to be my equal; so maybe he is just a little insecurity at all the attention we have gotten with our unique relationship. Especially with the girls you know. Hopefully he will gain the courage to really stand next to me, ninja against samurai, and not feel so insecure when basking in my radiance." 4. How do you think you've changed as a person since joining the NFG? "As I mentioned, I had my ups and downs. I have learned that even if you treat a woman well, she is not compelled or entitled to reward you like a lady. In fact, nobody is entitled to give you any respect, no matter how deserved or entitled you actually are! I was a fool to think I could be a hero to people who reject my heroism. And thanks to my Mad Gear friends, I now know that if I am to be hated, I should be proud to wear that hatred like a kimono! Thus, I shouldn't let myself feel disappointed that I am not as cool or popular as the other fighters. I have learned to take that energy, and motivate me to fight even stronger. A rational genius like myself already knows how cool I am! It's just all these irrational fools cannot see something that is so obvious to me! It's practically involuntary, but what else can you do? We all ultimately live in a society." 5. Which sponsor team would you like to be drafted to for the second half of the season? "Certainly I would appreciate returning back to the nurturing embrace of Team Frost. Abigail has been an excellent mentor to me, and while someone, who I will keep unnamed, has been very rude and kind of a brat with me, I can't say I haven't appreciated the treatment. I have even heard from the leaks, that a kind of Mexican angel-ita has joined them. Hispanic girls are practically the asians of the western world, you know, so I would appreciate some tender siestas to help balance out the training."

NFG Sunset Interviews: Buck

Pringer X
The New Fighting Generation has begun releasing a second series of interviews with the prospects after the first half of the season has ended with the RUMBLE. They've been titled the 'Sunset Interviews' in respect of the competition moving on from Sunshine City. This interview features Buck! 1. What has been your best moment in the NFG so far? "I mean, I guess that should be pretty obvious right? Coming out on top in the rumble. Sure, I had an advantage, but I'm still super hyped I was the last one standing. Makes me feel like I made the right choice comin' here. I only hope I can live up to it now." 2. What has been your worst moment in the NFG so far? "Hmm. Probably when the soup kitchen got raided by those thugs. We were tryin' to do something good there but some people just ain't got it in them, I guess. We fought them off, sure, but it kinda put a damper on the whole thing." 3. Which other NFG competitor has most surprised you? "Can I say everyone? Heh. No but seriously, I'd have to say Ichika. She's driven, and smart, and simply an amazing fighter. It's been an honor to be her team mate, and she's taught me quite a bit about myself, too. I wish she'd take it a little easier on herself, but I guess that's just how she is." 4. How do you think you've changed as a person since joining the NFG? "You know, that's a hard one to put into words. I've figured out more about my abilities and how to use them, and I've really polished up my fighting moves quite a bit. I got the bruises to show for it, too. But really, I think I just kind of see fighting in a different light now. It's an art and I got a whole heck of a lot to learn." 5. Which sponsor team would you like to be drafted to for the second half of the season? "Aw man, I love my team. They're kind of like family to me now and I hate the thought of us splitting up. I mean I get it, and I look forward to learning under other mentors and with other team mates, but I'm gonna be sad to see our team Thunder broken up. If I had to pick one? Maybe Metal since they offered me a spot in the first draft."

NFG Sunset Interviews: Kenzo

Pringer X
The New Fighting Generation has begun releasing a second series of interviews with the prospects after the first half of the season has ended with the RUMBLE. They've been titled the 'Sunset Interviews' in respect of the competition moving on from Sunshine City. This interview features Kenzo! 1.) What has been your best moment in the NFG so far? If we're talking about out of combat, I have to say that it was my entrance into the Rumble with taking pics with Liza-san and Buck-san as he pulled off a real world dog face filter as a close second. In combat, I have to say that it was the match with Moore-san because it pushed me to my limits tactically and skillwise as well as show what I truly capable. 2.) What has been your worst moment in the NFG so far? The moment I found out Djamila-san was attacked. If that sperm donor makes another attempt, he'll find out quickly how much of monster I can become. I wouldn't be surprised if any other members of the original Metal team echoed my sentiments regardless of which teams we all end up. 3.) Which other NFG competitor has most surprised you? JD. That guy fought out of his mind during the Rumble. Whoever gets him is getting a strong competitor. 4.) How do you think you've changed as a person since joining the NFG? I've improved my fight IQ and improved my ability to execute on my strategies. A good portion of the credit goes to the sponsors of Metal. 5.) Which sponsor team would you like to be drafted to for the second half of the season? I liked what I gained from being on Metal so if they'll have me, I'm more than happy to stay. I could also see myself having a lot to gain should I get drafted by Thunder. I was less than impressed with Blaze considering the sponsor who cheered for their fighter's opponent. As long as I don't end up on the same team as a certain individual, I'm sure that I'll find a way to thrive no matter where I end up.

NFG Sunset Interviews: Iris

Pringer X
The New Fighting Generation has begun releasing a second series of interviews with the prospects after the first half of the season has ended with the RUMBLE. They've been titled the 'Sunset Interviews' in respect of the competition moving on from Sunshine City. This interview features Iris! 1. What has been your best moment in the NFG so far? Well... I managed to not get danced to death by a cavewoman, crushed by a man who turned his arms into octopus tentacles, or any of the other thousand things that happened in the Rumble which seemed like they would be *instantly fatal* if I had't found a way to deal with them? Jokes aside, I surprised myself as much as I did anyone else in the Rumble, I think. Hopefully that kind of performance from yours truly won't be a one-time deal. 2. What has been your worst moment in the NFG so far? I had some... real hard matches in the first round and I'm halfway tempted to say "almost all of it" is my worst moment. But a friend in the NFG recently encouraged me not to view things quite so fatalistically. Just have to look at it as building suspense for the midseason turnaround, right? 3. Which other NFG competitor has most surprised you? Do you mean OTHER than the strapping American lad who more or less turned into a dragon and attempted to roast me alive? 4. How do you think you've changed as a person since joining the NFG? I, uh... [there is a significant pause before she continues] I started this on a whim. I'm still working out if I'm even "a fighter," you know? And I don't say that to make light of the other competitors who are maybe more bought in to that. I found out what some of my limitations are... but I found out some things I didn't know I was capable of doing, too. 5. Which sponsor team would you like to be drafted to for the second half of the season? Well... don't take this the wrong way, fellow teammates, but the first time I met anyone else on Team Blaze was at the Rumble, so basically any team I end up on will be an interesting new experience. That said, I think the aforementioned strapping American lad and I have some synergy. Plus, you know, as a practitioner of the Craft, I MIGHT have some questions for a guy who can turn into a dragon.

NFG Sunset Interviews: Ayala

Pringer X
The New Fighting Generation has begun releasing a second series of interviews with the prospects after the first half of the season has ended with the RUMBLE. They've been titled the 'Sunset Interviews' in respect of the competition moving on from Sunshine City. This interview features Ayala! 1. What has been your best moment in the NFG so far? "Ayala's best moment had to be spin kicking Djamila across strip club--not that Ayala hate Djamila or something--but it best to fight and be friends with people, you know??" 2. What has been your worst moment in the NFG so far? "Worst was finding lettuce in places after sliding around flooded supermarket floor fighting Chevy." 3. Which other NFG competitor has most surprised you? "JD, because Ayala hit him--and it was like nothing--and then he just stare at me and told me to go away. Do anyone else notice he a zom--" 4. How do you think you've changed as a person since joining the NFG? "Ayala realized she's not one of the toughest on this world--but also Ayala been able to improve quite a lot. Ayala was scared she couldn't get anywhere for a while with her training. Also prove long as you never give up, you can never lose." 5. Which sponsor team would you like to be drafted to for the second half of the season? "Ayala hope she wind up on team next time with Djamila and Kenzo! We need party at Pink Paradise!"
