Goblin Smark
"You know, I got away from New Jersey to avoid cities that are active crime scenes." Nixie walked along the beach as Myriad floated in the water besides her. She was carrying a beach umbrella to try and keep the sun out of her eyes.
"Well, nice places aren't generally welcoming to what's basically an underground fighting league. Besides we could fix somewhere up for you here and people wouldn't bat an eyebrow." The mermaid figured there was a chance for some urban renewal here.
%R"Yeah, because having the nicest place in town won't make me target for the local gangs." The goblin made sure that Myriad could see the frown on her face. "I just would like to live somewhere that's quiet and peaceful for change. The goblin tilted the umbrella as the sun rose higher in the sky. "How do you deal with it, Myriad?" She wonders how a demon of all people gets any privacy.
"I just dive underwater, how long can you hold your breath for I wonder? I suppose you could always make a potion for that. Maybe you could come with a deep swim with me sometime." Myriad smirked as she plotted something.
"No thanks, the only place I've seem to have luck lately is in the ring." Nixie is still a bit upset from the failed chance to regain her humanity.
"Yes, I might have to take you on myself, if you keep winning. It would be good practice if you fight the dowser girl or maybe the rainbow mage. I haven't seen what she can do yet." Myriad figured Nixie could use a tougher opponent.
"Why don't you ask me to fight the ocean while you're at it?" As soon Nixie finished her sentence, a large tidal wave surged out of the ocean and slammed into the goblin unexpectedly. She was lifted off the beach and went flying in the air being launched several feet before crashing into the sand face first. She winced in pain before speaking up again,
"I should have seen that one coming."
