Description: Taiyo Dome hosts what is sure to become a Seijyun/Gedo Grudge Match; while Faolan spends some time harassing the young fighters, Miu and Setsuna Sonozaki spend much more time harassing each other--but the results are as lopsideda s one might expect. (Winner: Miu)
School spirit! School pride! YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!
The crowd for this match is made up largely of students from Gedo, who look like they are ready to start rioting at any moment, and Seijyun High students, who are... just a little bit to dignified for anything like that.
They are certainly very enthusiastic, though. Which, cannot be said for at least one of the participants in this bout.
Miu is standing to one side of the fighting area in the dome, her hands tucked loosely in her pockets. A lone raven sat on her shoulder. If she's excited, she sure doesn't look it. She just looks, well, a bit bored and neutral. Lackluster eyes peering into... nothing at all.
Setsuna rolls up wearin'... okay, so she -does- have a Gedo school jacket on. It's a boy's jacket, though, and it's just slung over her shoulders; underneath she's wearing... a Seijyun uniform?!? Where'd she get -that- thing? Odd and odder, as it does appear to fit her perfectly. The taller, eyepatched girl has a look of detached amusement on her face, simply because she's enjoying that kind of half-gasp that's running around the Dome Arena at the fact that she's wearing a Seijyun outfit with a Gedo jacket over it.
She walks up to Miu--well, not *right* up, she stsys a healthy eight yards distant, which doesn't look like much in the Dome Arena, due to its size, and studies her for a moment, with her one eye. Up, down, up again. "Yeah," she says, "You look about as school spirit as I feel." Setsuna's just weirder about it, apparently.
Casually, she tosses the jacket away; it flutters picturesquely, before landing on the ground well out of the way. It's revealed that Setsuna is wearing gloves underneath, typical black leather, fingerless gloves that she tightens slightly. "But let's do this."
There might be one person more out of place than Miu in tihs case. Granted there are a few teachers around the area to make sure the students don't get too out of hand during the fight, but they at least it fits in with all the school stuff. The Ikari Warrior that is announced does not look like he belongs in the Taiyo Dome at all. No way in hell he was going to be talked into trying to keep theme and wear some sort of uniform. He would just look like some overaged bum that can't graduate and this town already has Kyo for that, right?
There is the tapping of his bata against the surface as he stalks forward. He just gives a tip of a hat to both fighters and for now he looks like he is going to keep a distance from both of them. There is no reason for him to start things out aggressively. He will just pick his spots in this case like he did last week when having to play the same role. "All right, I guess it is go time."
Miu looks between the pair, and nods slowly. She doesn't really care about the insult to the proud Seijyun uniform that Setsuna deals her fellow students. The small girl looks between Setsuna and the Ikari warrior, and straightens up. The raven flutters, and then spirals up and away.
"I should probably be upset." She says, vaguely. Her hands hanging loose at her sides as she prepares herself to fight. "... Actually, it is a bit rude."
And with that declaration of rudeness, she turns once on the spot, and lets her arm shoot out. A dark black feather and two bright white ones streak from her palm, aiming to deal a stunning blow across the center mass of her 'real' opponent. Apparently, she really has taken some umbrage, at least.
Mingling feathers tumble all around the girl, now, as she lets her power surge around her. The fight is on!

Setsuna watches Miu's attack with interest; Miu doesn't -look- a 'proper fighter', at least, she wouldn't to the Metro City crowd, but Setsuna knows better. Some of the strongest fighters look the least likely to be so... and so, when the trio of feathers comes shooting at her, she's prepared, throwing her arms up to help shield herself from them. The impact is still pretty good, though, forcing her to drop back a step.
"Ow," she murmurs, regarding her arms, briefly, then Miu. That wasn't chi... hm. Most interesting. Setsuna hasn't come across psi-users very often---they tended to be rare on the fight circuits she was traveling before--but she's met one or two. None who had as much power as Miu, though. Or skill.
She smiles, to herself. "That's more like it," she says, then smacks her fists together, twice, creating a sharp pair of *cracks* of sound in the air, before throwing her arms up into a boxing-style guard, almost a peekaboo guard. "Looks like this'll be fun!"

He knows he shouldn't feel it, but Faolan does feel kinda bad about beating on schoolgirls. Though at this point Ralf the Schoolgirl Slayer is probably cheering him on from a distance. Of course unlike Ralf at least Faolan is just a chaos agent so he doesn't have to worry about dealing with an army of skirts running right at him. He sits back and just watches with interest as Miu ends up being the one that starts things off. He expected the much more imposing looking girl to start things off.
"That's right. No reason to get into this stuff if you ain't here to enjoy it!" he says in response to hearing Sonozaki. The Irishman then takes a look between the two and he advances on Miu. He doesn't move quick so Miu has time to prepare for him as he comes upwards as he twirls the bata about in one hand and he dips low to swing it in a sweeping motion aimed towards Miu's legs to throw her off balance and perhaps even ground her.

Miu really has no intention of letting Faolan lay a finger on her. Sonozaki's reaction to her attack is noted, but, she is far more focused on Faolan as he comes in at her. It seems that Miu is not one to get wrapped up in conversation when people are trying to do her bodily harm.
A graceful flip puts her above Faolan, however, and when she touches down on the floor, she takes two further steps, and then attempts to grab Setsuna by the wrist.
If she manages to get a hold, the girl will find even more of that surprising psionic power coming as easily as touch to Miu. A veritable wellspring of power as she is. Bright light flares as she aims to wrench Setsuna's arm up behind her back, and then kick her feet out from underneath her. Ordinarily, Miu just wouldn't have the physical strength necessary to send /anyone/ else tumbling, but with her power trying numb her opponent's muscles, everything flows much easier.

And with that, Setsuna is floored--literally, a fresh surge of pain shooting through her at the touch of the psi--not to mention the tripping that puts her firmly on her face. She rolls away, swiftly, popping back up to her feet--and looking utterly unconcerned that she's just put herself at a severe disadvantage to Miu. Or has she? She has yet to actually take action against the dark-haired Seijyun girl.
But that's about to change--in fact, it's about to change right -now-, as she suddenly, violently rockets forward, her legs propelling her in a low-arced forward leap, then tucking underneath her. She offers no further words, just the explosive sound of air, propelled from her lungs, as she rockets forward into Miu's position, driving first her right knee, then her left, forward in quick succession, before she lands.
He didn't expect it to work, but at the same time there is no reason to go all out. The students aren't here to see the Ikari beating on their representatives. They want to see the two girls beat the snot out of one another instead. He will still do his job at least. He is just going to be casual about it so he doesn't incite the students of either side to riot for him picking on their girl. He does let out a whistle at how it seems the smaller Miu seems to be quite the dangerous one from the looks of it. Of course he hasn't gotten to see Sonozaki do anything just yet.
That changes in a few moments and he watches the woman launch herself into Miu. Faolan himself considers what to do and he moves in closer to where once Setsuna does land he is going to be nearby. The result of the close proximity is of course is Faolan is bringing his bata forward with a quick prod with his bata at the ribs of the Gedo student.

Miu grits her teeth, and steps to the side as Setsuna comes in at her. She has to really focus to get away from the strike, and it still passes within an inch of her features. But in the end, Miu's determined attempt to make sure she doesn't get a knee to the face pays off.
As she rises up again, the girl tries to take advantage of the fact that Faolan has attacked, too. The prod comes in at one side, and on the other, Miu lashes out with a swift snap of her foot. A bright flare of white energy comes with the impact, hoping to keep the girl off balance with the dual impacts.

The addition of the Chaos Agent does complicate things; but he's being relatively kind. That bata sting to her ribs... well, it hurts. But it also kind of wakes her up and galvanizes her; she barely gives Faolan a look, though, especially with Miu coming at her all ready to give a kicking from the other side; however, Faolan's jab has provided her with...
*cue deep echoing voice* MOMENTUM.
And that momentum lets her slip the kick entirely, twisting to her right, and then unloading, planting her right foot forward as she flattens her right hand into a ridgehand, grey-white wind chi flaring up in a thin, buzzsaw-like aura that she powers around and into Miu's head, leaving a grey aftertrail behind briefly.
Riding the momentum of the attack, she takes two steps forward before spinning around to face her opponent again, the smallest of smiles twisting her lips.
Provided this is his second time in a short while in this role Faolan isn't sure how kind he should be. Part of him feels like he should be more troublesome, but the guy always likes a good fight and he honestly has more fun watching in this case over throwing punches and making things one sided. Both of these girls look pretty tough at least so he is feeling less and less bothered about smacking them around and doing his job.
He shakes his head a bit as Setsuna finally gets her hands on Miu and it does not look pretty. The smaller girl unfortunantly is also the target of Faolan not long after she is hit by that powerful strike. There is a bit of a grimace as he holds up his bata and just swings it downwards at the girl, aiming to slam wooden object right onto the shoulder of the small fighter.

Miu isn't sure exactly what happened.
One moment, she'd been trying to hit her opponent, and the next, she's thudding into the ground with a very painful ache in her head. Never let it be said, however, that Miu is one to let surprises like this get the better of her. Though the attack has her rolling across the ground, she still has the presence of mind to bring her forearm up against the strike from Faolan.
She narrows her eyes at the man. Seriously considering turning her irritation on him.
But she doesn't. Instead, as she rises to her feet, the girl's power flares all around her. Feathers twirl and dance, and in a sudden blur, she throws her hands, again and again, towards her opponent.
One feather after other streaks towards the student, cutting glittering trails across the length of the arena. Seven, in total, until her power is allowed to die down again. If nothing else, the demonstration should buy her enough time to let the ringing in her ears subside a bit.

It's a crushing blow--series of blows. The seven feathers practically destroy her--Setsuna reels from the sheer pain of it, tempted, on some base level, to curl up and die. But she wasn't raised that way, and she's not about to try it now. Once Miu's done savaging her, Setsuna straightens up, determination blazing in her eyes. She's lost--she knows it. She's only landed one good hit on the girl, and she's just too fast. That kind of speed... but Setsuna can't give up, either, not without...
...seeking to do some damage. So she lunges, despite the distance that Miu's put on her again--she lunges forward, leading with her left fist, aiming to lay it against Miu's chin. If she gets that far--if she makes contact--she'll pummel the girl with a brutal series of attacks--short hooks, elbow smashes, knees and low kicks, a veritable storm of smashing attacks--before leaping backwards, summoning her wind power into her arms... and flinging two large, grey windblades into Miu's body to finish off.

There is a brow raised from Faolan when he catches that look from Miu. He just gives a bit of a grin and his hand not gripping the bata raises up and he wags a finger at her as if knowing what she might be thinking. "There there. I think you have more important things to worry about." he tells the girl and he takes a step back. Might not be the best way to talk to her at a time like this, but it might also serve a bit of distraction for Sonozaki since it looks like she could use one just for the moment.
Of course he decides to keep a distance because the other girl doesn't look happy and he doesn't wantto be caught up in any sort of retribution that she has planned. Of course nevermind the fact he is whistling a bit to himself and maybe helping Setsuna out a bit just this once by leaving her be and there is a small bit of black energy crackling at the end of his staff that he decides to shoot right for Miu at the same time.

Miu's eyes go wide as the girl in the Seijyun uniform comes at her so swiftly. Miu has finely honed danger senses, and right now, after the painful blow that Sonozaki had dealt her, every sense she has is screaming at her to just, not be where she is any more. She sweeps backwards, that bright power of hers flaring up around her to augment her movement.
As she comes up, she suddenly has to twist a second time, and pure instinct means that, again, she manages to warp herself away from the dark black energy. She turns to face the pair, and her eyes focus on Faolan.
"Really?" She asks.
And then, suddenly, she is coming forwards again. Bright white power carves a trail behind her. Her fist is sheathed in it, and, as she brings it around, it forms into a large, white feather. Jutting out from her knuckles as she aims to finish off her opponent in a single, upwards slash.

She's still refusing to lie down, even having spent her efforts on lunging fruitlessly at Miu. She knows it's gone bad... but she can't bring herself to stop. When Miu comes at her with that sweeping feather uppercut, Setsuna ducks back, kicking off the Taiyo Dome ground and jolting out of the way. Does she have it in her to finish this girl off? Probably not. She's honest about that. But she's not going to make it -easy- for her...
With that in mind, she moves forward again, aiming a quick, high roundhouse for the side of Miu's head--the kick style taken almost directly from Muay Thai, with the same high snap to it. Really, she just wants to bruise Miu a little. A touch. One good hit does not a satisfying fight make.
Okay, so maybe he shouldn't be teasing Miu in such a way. He might regret it. Though sometimes he gets too caught up in things and he just gives a nod. "Aye, that you do." is all he says in response and he can only feel a bit sorry for Setsuna through all of this. He can tell she is getting frustrated, but at the same time if he kept trying to help her it might just get him a punch in the face from the Gedo student. That is why for now he is going to linger where he is and just let the two clash.
He lightly scratches at a cheek and considers things. The students certainly are getting into the fight though the Gedo ones are starting to get rather surley, as if that is anything new, at how things are turning out. Seijyun definantly seems to be happy at the fact bad karma seems to be kicking Setsuna in the face for insulting their uniform. For now he decides to just see this through, wondering just how much each girl has left.

Miu is struck on the side of the head.
What is it with people and kicking her in the head? Chris kicked her so many times she could barely see straight! Was it purely because of her height? There isn't /that/ much difference between her and Sonozaki, though.
Either way, the girl has the presence of mind to move with the blow. So, though it might look like she's been kicked to the ground, in truth, she's intending to use that momentum to hammer her still-glowing fist into Sonozaki's gut.
If she can manage that, she'll put everything she has into continuing the motion, and swinging her up, and around on her fist, to slam back into the floor.
If it makes Sonozaki feel any better, though, Miu is now bleeding from the side of her head. Which is a state she's found herself in entirely too often these days. It's upsetting, really.

At her rope's end, Setsuna really can't do much for the fact that Miu stays in close; she takes the punch, and then, in eerie imitation of one of Setsuna's own moves, gets slammed into the flooring. The wind goes out of her, but she manages to retain consciousness for just a few seconds longer--just long enough, she figures, to make one last try at the girl. Say what you will--she doesn't give up easily.
And some of that fine, upstanding Gedo spirit finally shines through, as Setsuna croaks, "_Bitch_," though it doesn't really sound -all- that hateful. Almost pro forma, really. Lacking the strength for one of her more complicated techniques, she seeks to grab Miu before she can get up... and just roll over her, pinning her down, one arm across her throat pressing in, the free hand seeking to pound Miu's head against the turf a few times.
Inelegant and, with Setsuna's fading consciousness, not particularly-well executed... but a try nonetheless.

It looks like things finally are winding down and it was a good thing Faolan did hold back. Miu didn't exactly need his help at attacking Sonozaki at the same time in this case. The larger girl was on the ropes already from what he could tell. He just lets the tip of his bata come to rest and he leans on it a bit as it seems that Miu has this one well in hand. He is rather surprised at how this turned out in a way. He was thinking perhaps things would be a bit closer. It always does seem like the smaller ones can be the most dangerous.
He looks to the official and nods. "Quick one, aye?" he asks with a grin and lets the man do his job and call the match if it looks as if Sonozaki is truely down and out which seems to be the case.

Miu steps around the side of Setsuna as she tries to grab her. When the girl falls over, she shakes her head a little. "That's just hurtful." She says, in that too-neutral voice. Not really certain if she's making fun, or actually genuinely upset, before Sonozaki finally falls down. But then it isn't like Miu is the easiest person to read at the best of times.
She hooks her fingers in her skirt, and shakes her head slightly. "If she'd hit me, she would probably have destroyed me." She says, quietly. Looking down at the girl as the raven flutters down onto her shoulder again. The crowd seem to be going wild for Seijyun High! ... Miu, though, is just wandering off. She's not really too interested in being there for the official announcement. It kind of stings that the very same people cheering for her now won't even acknowledge her come monday morning. It's the school they are cheering for, not that creepy Miu girl.
