SNF 2010.11 - Keeping Wrestling Real II-Heidern vs ElFuerte/Hugo

Description: SNF decides once again to pit two wrestlers against a polished veteran in the fighting world. The fans and wrestlers alike grow angry when it seems like the Ikari leader Heidern doesn't quite understand the rules and decides to use his warlock magic to combat the two adversaries. Could El Fuerte and Hugo overcome the power of Heidern!? (Winner: Heidern)

Commander Heidern of the Ikari Warriors is very much out of place in SlamMasters Arena.

Standing at the center of the square mat, surrounded by a full house of screaming wrestling fans with crazy pyrotechnics, bright lights and loud, near-ear-splitting music rattling his brain, the commander is surprisingly stern. He doesn't smile, nor does he flinch or twitch; it's as if he was made of stone.

Except for that constantly-moving one blue eye of his, of course.

People chant and cheer, holding up poorly designed (and written) signs for Hugo and El Fuerte. Few people /really/ know who the hell Heidern is beyond 'that guy from the military who hurts people with his bare hands in SNFs.' Still, the cheering goes on and on and on--

Until the tuxedo-clad announcer begins the festivities. Heidern remains as stern as ever. Loud music begins flooding the arena as the tag-team of Hugo and El Fuerte are announced, complete with some odd mash-up of their wresting 'themes' blasting on the PAs along with stock footage on the massive view screens. The fans go wild.

Heidern just remains silent. Privately, he considers what he's going to do for dinner.

For a long time El Fuerte has gone without wrestling within this historic arena. Now he has been able to wrestle in it twice in such a short time. Odd how both times it has also involved Hugo. This time instead of an opponent the large German will be Fuerte's partner. A perfect team of speed and power that will need all their skill to take on such a skilled fighter like Heidern. The man is the leader of a famed group afterall. And while both Heidern and Hugo aren't exactly ones to show much pep in their step or waste alot of energy it seems the luchador has so much of it in abundance that it is enough to cover for all three fighters.

He bursts out from behind the curtain when his name is announced and he is a blur that moves down the aisle before leaping high into the air with arms spread. He flips about and comes to land on top of a turnbuckle before straightening up and pointing a finger in the air. "The Hurricane of the Gulf is here!" he declares loudly before pointing to the aisle where Hugo is probably lumbering along much more slowly. "Today I and Hugo of the Andore family of wrestling shall give you all a treat!" He laughs and jumps upwards again to twist about while flipping to land flat on the mat and looking towards the mercenary leader.

"We welcome you to this ring. We shall show you the true power of wrestling!" And while he boasts the luchador knows he is in for a fight. He can't let himself be intimidated, though. He knows his partner won't be so he doesn't want to be the weak link in this case. For now her just hops a bit in place while waiting for Hugo to get in the ring so this fight can start. he hopes they reinforced this baby.

It's a good thing El Fuerte is so talkative. The behemoth of a German man that's sharing a corner with the hyperactive Mexican has yet to so much as open his mouth since entering the squared circle, and throughout the announcements of each combatant, the shots of the crowd, and the chatting of his tag-team partner, Hugo has no plans to suddenly become verbose. Instead, he just waits until his name is announced, waiting to thrust a single meaty finger upwards in a declaration of superiority, accompanied by a hearty "HRAAAAH!"

When things are finally said and done, and it's time to start, Hugo just now starts to get his blood pumping, smashing those frying-pan hands together in a quick series of Giant Palm Bombers, getting himself worked up before he stalks out to the center of the ring. A simple 'Herr Heidern.' is offered to the military commander before the meatwall of a wrestler settles into his prepared stance, arms out as if he were preparing for a collar-elbow tieup. Then, he just waits.

Heidern's response is simple:

He gives both fighters a simple nod.

That's it. No long-winded introduction, no heartfelt speeches of honor or pride; just a simple nod that simply acknowledges both men. However, it's what's in his eye that counts--that look of stern resolve that says 'I will not go easy,' a subtle hint that the Ikari Warrior commander respects their style and will abide by their rules. This is, after all, their territory, not his.

Once the crowd settles, Heidern's blue eye shifts across the ring. He focuses his gaze from El Fuerte to Hugo, then to the ring announcer. Once the man has gone and taken himself from the ring does Heidern step forward, his booted foot landing softly against the ring mat. Another follows, then another; he just /walks/ forward without a word, toward Hugo.

Only when he's a half-foot from the imposing meaty giant does he LUNGE forward and around in attempt to grab the man by the waist and seek to raise all ridiculously large pounds of him and German suplex him into the matt.

With the intros out of the way the fight is allowed to begin. Fuerte sort of has to climb up on the turnbuckle and watch for now as the much larger Hugo takes up most of the room of the ring. It also seems that he is a very large target at the moment because he is the one that get's Heidern's attention at the start of this match. With great agility the luchador runs along the ropes to try and move and find an opening while the other two grapple. He might just have to wait and see what happens between those two before he can strike.

Be he successful or not Fuerte waits until Heidern's attempt at a suplex is made before he leaps from the ropes. He seeks to at first go for a flying clothesline, but instead he is seeking to get his arm around the mercenaries' neck and use his momentum to swing about a full three hundred and sixty degrees before releasing and attempting to throw Heidern right in the corner.

What could Heidern possibly be doing, approaching him at such an idle speed. Meandering like that, the giant suspects very little could possibly go wrong with the smaller man striding towards him. How wrong Hugo is, though, when Heidern's just around him in the time it took to blink, and the next thing he knows, the back of his head is smashing into the mat, accompanied by an audible "Hrrgh!" when he hits.

It takes the German a few moments to clamber back up to his feet again. In that time, Fuerte's already started his attack. He waits until the Mexican has finished his assault, and regardless of where Heidern ends up, the greatest Andore of all time is reaching forward to try and snap a giant hand around the commander's wrist. Should he get a grip, he'll yank the Ikari over and heft him up, then turn him upside down before slamming him back-first onto the mat.

Driving Hugo into the matt seemed a lot easier than initially anticipated. Lifting the extremely large, muscle-bound wrestler and dropping him is done with grace and fluidity that truly belies the Andore wrestler's true weight. The moment the man's skull SLAMS into the mat, Heidern is rolling to the side and leaping gracefully onto his feet.

He turns immediately after, eyeing El Fuerte as he goes for the neck post-feint. He goes with the flow; gripped he's spun and summarily tossed, the lanky form of the military figure spiraling through the air toward the corner. But seconds before he slams into the corner post he twists his body around, flipping midair before he lands feet-first against it. A split-second after he leaps, coming down upon the mat with a slide of his knees.

Unfortunately, the graceful turnaround costs him dearly. He's snared by the wrist and SLAMMED into the mat in return by Hugo, his lanky and long body hitting hard and drawing air from his lungs. Momentarily surprised, the Ikari's surprise gives way to that same previous emotionlessness as he rolls aside and back onto his feet in a crouch in a slight wobble. When he rises his long arms cross in front of him before slicing viciously upwards, a blue-white X-shape slash of chi energy sailing /past/ Hugo...and right for Fuerte.

Upon his attempt of attacking the Ikari the luchador is quick to try and return to the perch of one of the corners. It is best he keeps to the high ground with Hugo taking up most of the ring. The big man needs plenty of room to work and seeing that powerful slam by the larger wrestler reminds Fuerte that he is on the giant's side this time around and not getting hit by him. "Good one, amigo!" he says and holds his arms up in victory, but there isn't much time for celebration. Heidern seems to have the luchador in his sights and soon El Fuerte finds himself having to get out of the way of an energy blast aimed his way. He goes to leap up high, but he actually slips and while he flails with the attempt to get out of the way he takes the blow firmly to the chest and is sent out of the ring.

He lands hard on the ground and it isn't long before he quickly gets back to his feet. He needs to be more careful. Another screwup like that and he might be done for. He shakes off the cobwebs and he climbs into the ring. He then slides under the bottom rope and launches himself across the ring on his stomach. Aiming to be a ground torpedo that attempts to take Heidern's legs out from under him or at least distract him enough so Hugo can do more damage.

Hugo was ready to get out of the way.. or make a ridiculous attempt at doing so, when Heidern's strike flies right past him, and straight towards his luchador teammate. There's a slight look of surprise, if one could see already furrowed brows dipping moreso as Fuerte goes flying out of the ring, but he's right back in soon enough. "Steady, little luchador." is grunted out in a thick German accent before the next strike begins.

The attacks are coordinated well enough. When the Mexican launches himself low, Hugo... somehow, through magic or science unknown to humankind, manages to leap from the ground. His body goes horizontal, and two booted feet come across in an attempt to dropkick the hell out of Heidern's face and chest.

Heidern's one eye keeps on El Fuerte as he attacks, the x-shaped gash of chi-based energy sailing at the luchador. Only when it connects and sends the man flying does the Ikari turn his gaze instantaneously upon Hugo. He silently observes the tall, equally-silent figure carefully.

Quicker than he anticipates, however, El Fuerte leaps back into the ring, diving across the ground like a human torpedo. The tall soldier leaps into the air, landing shortly after in a slight crouch as Hugo begins moving--then leaping /somehow/. His one blue eye widens discreetly before it hoods, an arm dropping at his side. Seconds after, that arm moves in a lightning-fast circular motion--a motion marked by a cutting swath of white-blue chi energy that could very well cut a man smaller than Hugo into pieces. The German half-collapses onto him in that moment, causing Heidern to fall to his knees as result.

Meanwhile, the crowds begin to boo. Heidern is a villain here--he's not honoring the wrestler's code! This isn't wresting, this is warlock magic! Heidern, on the other hand, just continues to maintain his usual look of expressionless disinterest.

The luchador just zips by without any sort of impact and he has to grasp onto the bottom rope and kick his legs forward to go out of the ring and swing upwards to where he goes up over the top rope and lands back in the ring. This man is damn good. He is really starting to see why he has such a reputation. El Fuerte and Hugo are going to have to do alot to get this man taken care of he thinks. He then goes wide eyed when he notices the attack made on Hugo and quickly points. "Amigo, you violated a sacred law by not going by our rules. We shall have to punish you!" he declares and he looks towards the rather beat up Hugo. "Amigo! Remember what we practiced!"

With that the luchador looks like he has a fire ignited in him as he bursts forward. He leaps upwards in an attempt to jump over Heidern and reach about to grasp him around the waist. He then lifts and attempts to twist Heidern around upside down and slam him on his head. "Fajiiitaaaas BUSTAAAAH!" he cries before picking Heidern up and tossing him upward. "Hugo, go!"

Pfft. /Pfft./ Warlock magic. No wrestler uses warlock magic. The closest thing that Hugo knows to that is Haggar's inhuman ability to make turkeys appear from tire stacks or barrels. As he flies through the air in a graceful arc, the trip of the dropkick is abruptly interrupted by chi that cuts right through his chest and midsection. Unable to control himself from that point forward... thud. Right onto Heidern he drops.

It takes the German wrestler a few moments to regain his footing, and by then, Fuerte's already going crazy again, leaping in for an attack right when Heidern's regained his footing again. ... but then the call is made for 'what we practiced.' At that point, the pain that Hugo's feeling is forgotten. He waits for the result of Fuerte's strike, and should Heidern go airborne, only then will Hugo spring forward.

Well this can't be good.

That is likely what most people think Heidern would be considering right about now, were he not so damned impossible to decipher. Instead of responding or reacting in any particular way, the Ikari Warrior just holds his ground with that same, damned annoying stern expression of his. He watches as El Fuerte states that he and his German partner must punish him. Only then does a brow arch. /Slightly so./

El Fuerte moves. He leaps high and seeks to grab the lanky man by the waist. But the moment his hands go out, Heidern's hand moves to intercept, batting them away with a deft blow of his forearms, using them less like /arms/ and more like sabers and leaping back. Fortunately, that gets him out of dodge from Hugo, who doesn't appear to be taking cues from El Fuerte.

"Rules? Well," Heidern finally speaks up. "Very well. Sorry to insult your ways, sirs."

With a leap the man moves after El Fuerte, seeking to grab the man under one leg and lift him while pinning an arm in place before turning and seeking to backslam him into the mat.

The luchador stares at the height that Heidern manages to get with that leap. That is one even El Fuerte can appreciate. Just like that the plans are derailed as well and he is left wondering what to do about this whole fight. Perhaps he is doing too much thinking because he is caught off guard once again by the speed and strength of Heidern. He attempts to quickly leap back, but is quickly caught and before he even can realize what is happening he finds himself slammed to the mat with his vision blurred from the impact. Ugh, he is going to be feeling that one for quite some time he thinks.
He is actually a bit slow to get up and he staggers about a bit punch drunk at this point as he ends up slumping into a corner for a moment. He needs time to clear those cobwebs again and he grips his rope. Such a simple apology too! He is sure Heidern actually meant it, but at the same time he feels like this man really does need to be taught some sort of lesson for breaking the wrestling code. He gets a serious look on his face and he jumps upwards to land on the top rope and then leap off of it high enough the air with the intent on coming down on top of Heidern to land with a foot on each shoulder.

And down he swings in an attempt to get a good grip with his legs and get momentum to take Heidern off his feet. He is still dazed enough though that his grip isn't as firm as he got and Heidern more gets a nice little tug on the neck that probably isn't going to feel good, but certainly isn't near as bad as what was bound to follow. The luchador goes a bit wide eyed at finding himself flipping forward without his target as well and he goes into a forward roll across the ring.

Hn. Well, that left little for the giant to do. So, it's there that he waits, watching the outcome of Fuerte and Heidern attacking eachother again. While he's not quite as fanatical about the rules being followed, he's not about to take anything away from his tag team partner's zealous adherence to the rules. Slowly, Hugo rubs his hands together, waiting.... waiting.... waiting...

Fuerte approaches, then there's no follow-through on the grappling, and the luchador is rolling away. In an attempt to catch the warlock cyclops while he's unaware, Hugo lunges forward right then and there, bringing both of those heavy palms around in an attempt to literally clap Heidern's beret-clad head between them in a massive exerting of force, muscles flexing and bulging just from the effort put behind trying to crush the commander's skull in one sudden move.

Though El Fuerte attempts to get a grip on the Ikari, he's still trying to shake off the dizziness of his last painful encounter with the soldier. As result the man's grip is discomforting and causes the Ikari to choke a bit, but with a deft weave aside he rips his throat out of the luchador's grasp and moves aside. The Hurricane of the Gulf tumbles; Heidern turns to face Hugo silently.

That's about when Hugo moves to slam and possibly cause the man's head to EXPLODE from the sheer meat force of his palm clap. Leaping a foot back, the Ikari's lips pull into a thin, pensive line before his body just moves, lunging at the German and seeking to grab him by the shoulders (as best he can, considering what a behemoth he is) and sweep his legs out. Once grounded, Heidern will lift his gloved hand aloft--before it SLAMS down, fingers threatening to plunge deep into the man's midsection like a knife.

The luchador is running out of ideas at this point. This man easily handling both him and his much larger partner. A partner that is taking alot more punishment than El Fuerte in his eyes. While Fuerte is getting slammed about he hasn't felt a cut like the way that Heidern is doing with the German. He is well trained, but there has to be some sort of weakness in there. He just needs to find what it is. Even if it means he has to play decoy so Hugo can regroup and do some damage to the mercenary.

He pushes himself out of the corner he was resting against. He got a short breather, but he can't linger in one place any longer. He goes forward once again and instead of any real fancy moves he is just trying to get any sort of grip on Heidern finally. It is an attempt to get his arms around the lanky fighter's waist and heft him up while falling backwards in a form of suplex to get him down on the mat and perhaps leave him open for Hugo to do more damage.

Heidern's hand is going straight for his midsection. Hugo isn't the fastest person in the worst; this much is obvious. Getting out of the way isn't going to do much good. When you're put in a position like this, there's only one thing a wall of meat can do. Get stabbed like a bitch. Down the giant goes, slamming back-first into the ground. He exhales in a sharp breath, just before gloved fingers jab into the giant's abs, and there's a visible flinch when they make contact.

Regardless of what happens with Fuerte, the German wrestler is lumbering forward quickly again, and right as the suplex completes, for better or for worse, one meaty hand reaches forward to try and clamp around Heidern's throat.

That massive set of fingers wraps around the commander's throat, and Hugo hoists upwards. There's an audible grunt of effort with the lift, a rough "HrrrraAAAAH!" as he not only lifts, but leaps off the ground, far higher than a man of his mass should be able to jump. Higher and higher he goes, and at the top of his jump, he flips around once, twice, three times before the grip on Heidern's neck is released, right at the last second before the descent begins, and the Ikari head is underneath the German. Arms go wide, and he literally just falls at that point, crushing the other figher beneath his mass.

Once again, the wrestlers work in unison. It begins quickly, both fighters advancing upon the Ikari. He, in turn, simply hoods his one good eye and focuses. His mind moves thousands of miles a second, calculating, deciphering the best method of attack, to preserve himself, to move the fight to his advantage.

First is Fuerte, who comes in with an attempted suplex. The incoming arm is immediately intercepted by the gloved hand of Heidern, who uses that to drag the luchador in sharply--into his other, gloved hand. Chi erupts around the glove, siphoning the very energy from the man, coupled with, you know, PAIN.

...unfortunately, this leaves him prone to the /other/ assault. Hugo is coming in and GRASPING the man by his throat, causing the man to go wide-eyed for a moment. He leaps, Heidern dragged in tow and spun around before he's released--only to be crushed beneath Hugo's ridiculous weight. For a moment, Heidern just doesn't move.

Then, slowly and a bit shakily, the Ikari rises onto his knees, then attempts to get to his feet.

There is little that El Fuerte can do. He is running on fumes to begin with and while still speedy he is pretty easy pickings at the close range he is in. He finds himself grabbed and there is a pained yell that comes from Fuerte when he feels that other hand slam into him and siphon whatever strength is left in him. He finds himself being discarded and at least he was able to serve as a decoy this time around. He rolls about and lays there on the ground for a moment while trying to keep from going fully unconcious. "Amigo....I am sorry." is said quietly. He was hoping he could be a bit more help for the pain train that is Hugo.

With a pained grimace forming he manages to push himself upwards and he gets to his feet while staggering. He can give one final chance to distract Heidern and let Hugo get another opening to abuse. "The Hurricane of the Gulf......shall rise again!" he declares weakly before slowly staggering forward then throwing himself right towards Heidern. It isn't the prettiest of lunges given his equilibrium is off, but he is attempting to slam his fist right into Heidern's gut.

He barrels forward with his full weight, but he doesn't have near as much energy as he hoped to have had. If anything the impact is maybe enough to knock Heidern slightly off balance. Hopefully it is enough for Hugo to do something. He is on his own now and the luchador just hits the mat after the impact and lays there face down. At least people are reaching to drag him out of the ring so he doesn't get stepped on and squished in all the Chaos.

Hm. Hugo has a dilemma on his hands. He's already horribly tired as it stands now, and his little luchador buddy is laid out on the floor. Heidern is still standing, and despite the crashing force inflicted earlier, he's looking to be in far better shape. What to do, what to do. The only option left to the German grappler is to see if he can't end things here and now.

He's lumbering forward again as the Mexican is being dragged away, growling deep in his throat as he surges forward while one arm lifts high, aiming to drive one meaty forearm in a crushing blow across Heidern's throat.

Blinking as El Fuerte picks himself back up with admirable determination, Heidern stands his ground, patiently (and curiously) waiting to see what the Hurricane of the Gulf has left in him. By no means will he underestimate the man; some men fight their best when they're pushed to the wall. He lunges and crashes a fist into the man's stomach--but meets the soldier's palm. A ginger push and shove is given, to distance the luchador away and allow him to fall freely.

"Good fight," the soldier mutters. Sincere words perhaps; however, the man's stern visage doesn't help make it /seem/ terribly sincere. He means well, however. He tries.

Then there's the tired giant Hugo. Glancing aside as he hears the large German rumbling forward, the Ikari commander sidesteps and avoids the forearm to the throat. Without hesitating the man lunges back in and attempts to chop the German at the back of the neck before he'll kick his knee out from underneath to try and stumble him. Should that work, Heidern will simply grab Andore by the shoulder and pull hard, to slam him back-first into the mat with a grunt.

It was a good fight. Heidern was a goddamn slippery one, but at least Hugo was able to get his shots in against the more veteran fighter where he was able. But the giant was running out of steam in a hurry, and he's well aware of where his limit is. When the other fighter approaches again, there's no attempt to dodge, no attempt to block the incoming strike; he simply stood his ground and waited for Heidern to come barrelling in. The shot to the back of his knee is enough to bring him down to the ground, but in a last-ditch effort to squash the Ikari commander one final time, he'll try to twist around as he falls. Either way, this is going to hurt Hugo. A lot. The German behemoth is crashing hard, but by god, he's determined to bring Heidern along for the trip on the pain train. While twisting, he tries to turn the momentum just enough that he squashes the other man when they land.

COMBATSYS: Hugo can no longer fight.

COMBATSYS: Heidern blocks Hugo's Meat Squasher.

Uncertain of what to expect of the meaty behemoth, Heidern's single blue eye widens a scant bit as he notes the German just won't give up. Instead he twists around as he falls, reaching out to grab the Ikari and bring him with. Unfortuately, Heidern remains both painfully alert and painfully elusive; he's grabbed and thrown to the ground, but Heidern's arms intercept.

Somehow, he manages to mitigate all several tons of Hugo's weight before pushing and rolling out beneath him before he /really/ collapses on him. Carefully thereafter Heidern rises to his feet, cautiously giving a glance aside. He'll take a few steps back before he exhales softly through his nostrils. Then he looks to the approaching M.C.

The crowd, meanwhile, boo, hiss and sling insults. This is a mockery of their beloved sport! How dare that old soldier guy win! How dare he beat Andore and the Hurricane of the Gulf! What an outrage!

Heidern just continues to look impassive. Even as the M.C. declares him winner, the old soldier just moves to the edge of the ring and hops out, hands in his fatigues' pockets as he skulks off. He doesn't need anything more; the fight alone and the experience was more than enough for him.

And by god it's way too loud here, he mentally grouses.

COMBATSYS: Heidern has ended the fight here.
