Jinchuu 2 - [R5] The Sword in the Bomb - Epilogue

Description: It's been a wild ride, but it's time for the two ninja 'strangers' to part ways. Just like that, no business cards traded. Sort of. Rated 'F' for 'Fluff'.

A bit of time passed.

Yurika Kirishima isn't really sure how much time had passed, but the sky was still relatively light, and the rain still fell upon her.

She'd fallen asleep standing up, arms crossed. But her body was still aching, but at least the headache she had been experiencing had gone away. "Nngh." she mumbled as she wiped at her eyes, vision going from blurred to clear almost instantly. Well, she supposed everything was over at this point, though she felt a buzz at her leg again. Curious, she decided to check it, all while wondering if her associate had left without so much as a 'Bye now!'.

It'd be very unlike Ibuki in her opinion if she did, after all.

For her part, Ibuki was still napping.

The other teen age ninja was propped up against a nearby wall, sitting absolutely still and silent, and the Shiraha wedged between her back and the wall behind her. It was as though the rain didn't even matter to Ibuki while she slept in some ways it looked like it was cleaning away the grit and grim that had covered her following the destruction of the Katsuten. For a brief moment it seems like Ibuki might not even really be there, she seems so perfectly at rest she might just be a figment of one's imagination until she suddenly opens one eye and stretches!

It seems Yurika's subtle movements woke Ibuki up and as her own vision clears out the sleep induced blur she lets out a quiet but deep yawn, "Heya partner! How'd you sleep?" It seems she's been fully recharged and is ready to be talkative and peppy again.

She changes her position slightly and allows one leg to drop and swing freely against the brick work while she watches Yurika.

"For the last time, I'm not your partner."

Always the thankful one, that Kirishima, as she studies the message. There's so much to think about, an annoying amount really, thanks to an important (to her) unanswered question. She let out a small sigh, and then her gaze shifted to Ibuki's.

"I'm all right.. It kind of feels like I'm still dreaming in a way. How are you holding up?" she replies, ".. What was it like, swinging that weapon?"

Ibuki tilts her head just slightly as Yurika lets out the small sigh before she shifts her attention to the brown clad ninja girl. Looking thoughtful for a moment at Yurika's question before she scratches the back of her head for a long moment...it seems it's taking her a moment to properly compose her answer.

"I'm doing pretty good, glad it's over though." She pauses and looks down at her 'phone' that she'd been using for the tournament not mentioning the final message, "But swinging that weapon...hmmm." She grins beneath her mask, "It was different, it felt like it knew what it needed to do and that all you needed to really do was believe in it and yourself to accomplish that..." She leans back and looks up at the rainy sky, "At least for me that's how it felt."

"Hmph." Though it's a rather amused sound from Yurika as she nods her head to Ibuki, "I admit I'm a bit jealous. Not that I wanted to be the one to make the final blow, but I feel I missed out on an extremely unique feeling.. Well, I suppose at least I was able to witness it."

"I'm glad it's ended as well, at least for the time being. You probably can't tell but I'm a rather ambitious person," she murmurs, still looking to her ninja companion, "I have to make up for my lack of old age by experiencing as many things as possible. Because of this I am actually thankful that I ended up teaming up with you rather than who I wanted."

With that she leans up off the wall, and she offers her hand, "I appreciate your being patient with me. You're an unusual, but very effective ninja. .. And being easy on the eyes certainly doesn't hurt."

Shrugging her shoulders in response to Yurika's amused hmph, Ibuki raises an eyebrow at the other girl admiting she was jealous that Ibuki had gotten to wield the sword against Katsuten. For a long moment she merely keeps quiet while her partner talks, listening to what Yurika has to say.

Looking thoughtful again as Yurika continues Ibuki finally speaks up, "While it was unique, don't think it wasn't a bit unsettling as well...all that power to stop something as terrible as that super weapon." She admits humbly before smirking undearneath her mask, "Don't worry about experiencing things so much partner, it'll happen just by living and doing things right?" Her voice as enthusiastic as ever. Ibuki again rubs the back of her head in embarrassment, "T-thanks...you're not as stuffy as I thought you were either, so I'm glad we were partners."

Ibuki takes the offered hand and stands up picking up the depowered sword with he other hand, "Hmm, given our personalities maybe I should be the one appreciating you putting up with my positiveness." She winks playfully at Yurika and her stance changes to embarrassment at the compliment and then the follow up causes Ibuki's eyes to widen and a slight flush to cross her cheeks, "...thank you..." her voice a tad shy and quiet before suddenly getting loud, "You're pretty skilled too! We'll have to team up again sometime!" She refrains from saying anything at the moment about Yurika finding her 'easy on the eyes'.

The Kirishima heir couldn't help but chuckle, though it was a very brief one. Though at what exact point amused her, would remain a mystery. The hand is lightly squeezed then released as her gaze finally shifts away, her hands set on her hips.

"That is probably good advice, but.. I don't know. I suppose I'll worry about it later. Good to know I wasn't entirely unpleasent company I suppose." Yurika murmurs. As for the thanks, "Don't mention it." and of course she then cringes, looking to Ibuki as if she'd lost it when she gets loud again!

Another sigh and she gives a shrug, "I.. Suppose that is a possibility, working togeather again, but I tend not to stray far outside of my circle. Not to mention what's left of the Kirishima Clan does not exactly have the best reputation.. If you're all right with that, I'd certainly have some uses for you. But we can talk about that another time." beat. "Assuming you frequent Southtown."

Ibuki chuckles back good naturedly already getting over her earlier embarrassment. As her hand is squeezed she looks to Yurika for a moment before the other girl looks away and simply lets it pass...Ibuki normally the flirtatious type is a bit put off her game it seems by the advances of the other ninja girl, most likely it was simply due to the fact she's not quite used to girls hitting on her!

Chuckling again at Yurika's reply and seeing her cringe at Ibuki's enthusiasm makes the brown clad ninja slightly amused this time. Then as Yurika gives her reply, Ibuki looks over to her, "Hmm, I don't mind bad reputations it's your actual behaviour that I generally judge people by, so as long as you're not a bad person I can probably help you out sometime!" She looks up to the sky for a moment, "The rain is letting up..." She then looks at Yurika again as she squints her eyes in obvious mirth, "I might be in Southtown on occassion...or I might not." She snickers playfully, "But I'll look you up sometime if I'm there."

Yurika, of course, ends up looking annoyed at Ibuki again to the teasing tone, "Oh for crying out loud," she starts, pausing to notice that the rain has indeed started to let up. Getting home was certainly going to be letting up, "Of course you're going to be there, it's obvious that the promises you were talking about having made were not to people native to here."

Yurika shakes her head, "Other than that, I appreciate your words. And.. From here I suppose is where our paths split. Until next time." the kunoichi raises her hand to wave, and turns to head off.

Ibuki merely gives Yurika an amused look in response to her frustration, it seems the ninja girl's vitality might also be a bit of a psychological tactics...or maybe not, it's hard to tell. "Well yeah but I could be from a lot of places in Japan besides Southtown." She points that out with another wink before she straps the sword to her back.

"You're welcome partner, we'll meet again I'm sure but until then good luck!" The peppy kunoichi salutes and waves back to Yurika before turning to head off in the other direction. She had to sneak aboard a ship or plane heading out of here, hopefully a plane...she didn't want to be at sea for months before making it home.
