Description: On a spooky ship in the middle of the night, four brave warriors clash for the right to recover the mysterious blade 'Shiraha'. The ninja duo of Ibuki and Yurika gain a strong initial advantage, but Tenma and Hakuya are able to rally and mount an impressive comeback. However, in the end... (Winners: Ibuki and Yurika)
For many the journey of Jinchuu has gotten stranger and stranger. For others absolutely fascinating. But perhaps most importantly the next moves on the chessboard bring four fighters to a specific location: Aboard the seemingly abandoned Suiyuuko Maru at Taizhou Harbor. Specifically the not-very well lit belowdecks of course, that greets the visitors with little more than sounds of waves smacking against metal and a low hum of energy if you don't include the unusual visuals; there are symbols and seals all over the place. The main fight area is fairly clear save for wood crates that are either stacked or scattered about the floor the swinging lightbulbs above constantly flickering.
Ibuki and Yurika have arrived first, already called it! The Kirishima heir is actually sort of the tagalong here, a little overwhelmed with how her journey had changed tremendously at the snap of a finger. But as their new fight location had been revealed, she suggested that herself and Ibuki stay hidden until their opponents arrive, and also recommended that they simply ambush their foes as it would be 'most convenient'. Again, however, Ibuki had been designated leader and it's up to the brown-clad ninja if she goes along with this plan or not. Needless to say at the moment she's nowhere to be seen.
After fighting rolling explosive robots atop ATVs and dunebuggies to get into Taizhou, and then playing a game of Boggle with that nice lady Vanessa in a strange shackle room, and /then/ fighting Ullr and Zach in a lake of molten lava kept nice and molten by eternal lightning bolts, Hakuya and Tenma had actually been split up to investigate the Metalworks building. Originally they'd just gone and beaten up the armored Jiro and Zach to get information, but then it seemed only fair that they help them out from there on. It had gone pretty well... for awhile.
On Hakuya's side, he had gotten to investigate a /melting building/. But then they'd been attacked by a weird and crazy lady. They'd fought to a standstill, with the crazy woman barely winning out over Hakuya and Ullr. Then, the building, not liking their fighting, decided it was going to come apart. See, Hakuya hadn't really wanted to leave Ullr... but at the same time, the crazy lady hadn't let them leave. So it was either both of them die, or someone delayed and let the other person escape. Ullr -- Jiro, had stayed behind. Hakuya had fled.
And then since Ullr didn't make it out of the collapsing building, Hakuya could only assume Jiro was dead.
So, after reuniting with Tenma, Hakuya had flailed his arms about and told all about the crazy killer lady and how she'd killed Jiro and how she was totally the Pervert Kidnapper Ninja's and the She Devil's baby, she /had/ to be! Hakuya had spent time kind of moping... but he had decided in the end, he understood what Jiro had done had been done to give Hakuya a chance. To protect him. And if anything, Hakuya was /all/ about the protecting. He understood. He had to keep going.
Which is why they're on the boat right now, Tenma and he. They were going to see this one right through. "This just looks like a fishing boat. Do you think we're on the right boat?" He's not nearly as sensitive to chi as Tenma is, so he can't feel the crazy as hell glyphs from below decks.
The tournament had gotten more and more interesting as things had gone on, though the frequent breaks in her memory due to unconsciousness were starting to get a tad annoying for Ibuki. The ship itself was just a tad unnerving itself...silent and empty with so many seals leading to the belowdecks, Ibuki found herself looking from one to the next as she clung to her hiding spot on the ship. She'd reluctantly agreed with Yurika about laying in wait but rather have just waited in the open for the inevitable fight to start but her partner had made good tactical ninja sense and she couldn't find any type of argument to nay say it.
Thus from her hiding place she waited for their opponents to show up, but in the mean time she was looking over what would eventually be the bounds of the 'fighting ring' to see if there was any advantageous position to use during the fight. Then a quick mental review of what they'd learned from the scroll, she'd have to win this fight to get what her village wanted the scroll hadn't been the real prize like she'd wanted merely a key and a clue wrapped together. So resolved, Ibuki waits for the opponents to show up and takes a quick look at Hakuya when he speaks to his partner but doesn't reveal her presence at least not yet.
Whatever Tenma Kiryuu saw underneath Nenzhao, it has certainly metamorphosed this whole misadventure into some serious business; even before he learned about what happened outside, before he learned that Jiro Kasagi had sacrificed himself so that his best friend could survive. Well, as to that... There will be a reckoning, sooner or later. Don't go doubting that. But even Tenma realises that there are other things that need to be taken care of first, more important things.
First of all, finding a way to dispose of Katsuten.
Standing not far away from the other Guardian King, Tenma has his usual bokken slanted over his shoulder, a red mist of blood and chi rising from the blessed wooden blade... And a second sword, shorter and live steel, tucked through his belt in back. The second blade has a reddish tint to it as well, and it carries a certain 'weight' that other weapons don't - not something physical, something /supernatural/.
You find funny things lying around Taizhou.
"Yeah," Tenma replies to Hakuya's question, dark blue eyes flicking downwards towards the deck. "We're in the right place. And..." Tenma rolls his neck with a quiet, gristly crack. "...We're not alone."

Yurika, needless to say, was pleased that Ibuki hadn't argued against the plan. She wasn't certain whom to expect, herself, the team of Eagle and Tran was just such an unusual scenario she couldn't imagine who'd be next.
The two that arrive, however, are instantly recognized by Yurika: Tenma, whom had been a judge of the 'Beauty' Pageant a couple of years ago, and Hakuya, whom was the boy that Yurika had mistaken Tenma for. .. That was a rather rough time.
She doesn't react immedietly, first taking note of the equipment on Tenma- She recalled the wooden sword behind his trademark, but the other weapon? There was an odd aura to it.
Her eyes narrowed though, as the punk seemed to easily sense their presence. Yurika semi-reveals herself, the darkened silouette locatable within the stairwell that led to the decks below. There's a very brief glint of light, and a bladed weapon (kunai specifically) was thrown, targeting Tenma's chest. She would have liked to have been closer, but oh well.

Tenma's own tales of what went on deeper into Nenzhao were pretty crazy. For all people talked bad about the Guardian Kings (mostly because of Tenma), they were a good guy group. They were in this Jinchuu mess because they knew Seishirou is a douchebag; one who needed to be punched. And, well, when something like a 72-hour countdown kicks up and it's apparently tied to a big ass bomb going boom? Well, Hakuya's first reaction is: stop it. Tenma apparently had the same idea. So that's what they were here for, because it seemed like they would find what they needed here, so said the MatchMaker app on their phones, anyway.
Tenma confirms that this is the place, and then suddenly the mention of them not being alone snaps Hakuya's attention to the stairs below decks, just in time to see a dark silhouette toss something out. He knows Tenma could probably deflect it, but it would cost the other fighter some time in doing so. And without a second target, Hakuya's only thoughts are: take out the threat. "Tenma!" He shouts, though whether in warning or just to bring his attention to something other than the knife being thrown at him, who knows. In any case, the Suigetsu heir is /racing/ across the deck and more or less leaps down the stairs. However, he attempts to catch the dark silhouette of Yurika on the way down with a clothesline. If successful, Hakuya will just yank her with - and slam her onto the boat's lower deck.
Once Tenma tells Hakuya they aren't alone, Ibuki sees no reason to hide out anymore and steps from her hiding place and the shadows surrounding it, "Nope you're not alone at all!" She says cheerily, "I don't suppose I could convince you to turn around and leave so that my clan, my partner, and I can claim the prize at the end of the boat ride could I?" She takes up a fighting stance and shakes her head, "Nevermind, I probably can't anyway."
Then Yurika comes out and throws a kunai, "Well definitely not now..." She shakes her head as the fight breaks out pretty quickly, "Could be worse I guess, now lets get started!" Unlike her partner Ibuki isn't particularly familiar with who they are up against other than the fact they're a couple of guys that look pretty tough or kinda thugish...though having been smacked around by shinai and boken in two previous fights she's actually relieved Yurika took that target.
Hakuya's sudden attack on Yurika though doesn't go unnoticed and she races towards him with the full intention of getting him away from Yurika, "I'm your opponent for this one!" She says loudly with an oddly energetic tone...
She tries to grab his clothing and send him hurtling to the ground away from her partner with a weird running hip throw, in Ibuki's head it'd been decided Ibuki was to take on Hakuya the minute Yurika threw the kunai at Tenma, "Tora!!!" she yells as she pivots her weight and momentum to actually manage the throw.

Look, nobody wants to see Yurika /reveal/ herself. That's just gross. Keep it in your dress, Kirishima!
As the kunai streaks through the night air towards him, Tenma is alerted both by his own senses and by Hakuya, and he ducks slightly to the side; it's enough to avoid getting stabbed in the heart, but not enough to prevent the kunai from sticking into his shoulder, which hurts something awful. "Tch," the tall, slender young man mutters in annoyance, grabbing the kunai and yanking it free... Before tucking it into a pocket. Finders keepers, and he's run out of most of the ones he stole from Seishirou back when, anyway.
Rather than go after Yurika immediately, the Kiryuu heir instead proceeds to make things even /more/ of a mess by pressing the attack on /Ibuki/ instead. As she tries to toss Hakuya around for attacking Yurika, Tenma rushes in and... Rather than bringing his bokken to bear, he swings it back and out of the way as he lashes out at the ninja girl with a series of fast, carefully-placed punches; each designed to subtly alter the flow of chi through her body, targeting precise points on her circulatory system. As Tenma strikes, he tries to control Ibuki's location, as well, to force her off balance and into a vulnerable position...
"Sorry!" Tenma notes, his voice loud and strident as ever. "But we're not here to play your game, Tomboy."

"Hmnph." After Yurika threw her weapon she had already been making motions to go down the stairwell. Unfortunatly for her Hakuya had decided to assist her in this little project and the kunoichi doesn't seem to have as much room as she'd like to maneuver. It's a rather painful tumble down the stairwell and eventually she hits the bottom, vision briefly blurred from the impacts to the head. Very.. Ouch.
She's revealed to be clad in red and black garb in an outfit that isn't unlike Kurow's usual attire, but outfitted for a female, plus shoulder and shinguards. Tenma isn't the only one with sweet and improved swag.
Her normally wildly curled hair had been straightened and tucked into her collar, lower half of her face covered by a cloth mask, ".. Ow."
Her partner struggles a bit with Hakuya, likely improving Yurika's time to pull herself togeather and kipup to her feet while withdrawing twin elongated tuning forks from her belt. Things have gotten rather chaotic already, but she's got a bit of a grudge against Tenma- While her actions seem to go against her code of efficiency, she'll allow herself this exception to the rule. Her attack, in a way, is extremely impressive, she clashes her forks togeather, releasing a ring of distorted sound at the stairwell, it bounces off the walls various times and ideally would beeline right toward the bokken-weilding student, not only with impressive impact but perhaps cutting a bit into his clothes as well. Hopefully Ibuki knows to get out of the way when she hears that sound.

Oh, there was a second target. Not that Hakuya could, you know, change his momentum that easily to intercept her, so he more or less just charges right past Ibuki. Then his arm hooks around the fleeing Yurika, and down they both go! Only Hakuya's descent down the stairs is much more controlled than Yurika's is, and though the 'silhouette' comes out to be a blonde girl in a ninja outfit - making that the second ninja! or was that first? - the Guardian King second has long ago lost his taboo against hitting girls... at least, when they're fighting back. Crash goes Yurika, and Hakuya lands on his feet.
Only for his hoodie to be grabbed from behind. Whoa?! Though Hakuya is good with grabs and throws, the suddenness of the grapple takes him by surprise, and with the hip placed against his, he's redirected to also meet the rolling lower deck of the Suiryuuko Maru with a grunt. But immediately he rolls to the side, skipping up to his feet. A little throw like that won't bother him much! And seeing as Tenma is already attempting an attack on Ibuki, and Yurika on Tenma, why not complete the square? Sliding a foot out, Hakuya seeks to sweep it at Yurika's legs, an attempt to knock them out from below her, but in mid-kick, he pushes off with his other foot, and brings it around to swipe at the blonde ninja's head in a sort of revolving drop kick.

Ibuki grins beneath her mask as she sends the boy to the flow pretty quickly though apparently this opens her up to an onslaught from Tenma, using the momentum from her throw she whirls around and seems to find every single gap in Tenma's attack being there instead of at the point he attacks, the girl recognizing that he's going for vital areas for her chi to flow through she winds up navigating the rocky sea of blows but then he calls her a tomboy!!! "Woah there buddy, I'm a girl that can fight but that doesn't make me a tomboy got it!!!" She roars in annoyance, a rarity for her as Yurika may know at this point.
As she hears the tale tell ring of one of Yurika's attacks she rolls out of the way at the last second managing not to even get clipped by the thing. Standing up from her roll she sees that Hakuya is still going after Yurika and instead of going after the frustrating guy that called her a tomboy, Ibuki focuses on Hakuya again, "I said your opponent is over here!" With that she leaps down the stairs and takes up a offensive stance as she winds up a powerful palm strike followed by an immediate strike from the corresponding elbow, "Ha!" Hopefully that sets him into attacking her...if not she's going to have to get more cruel.

Here's the thing: Tenma Kiryuu uses names as weapons. He understands the /power/ of names, the significance of giving someone or something their proper name... Or of giving them another one. As such, there are precious few people in the world that the King of Blood actually refers to by name, and even most of those he does are referred to in an unfamiliar fashion. But nicknames are his stock in trade, and when people react badly to them...
"Oh, hit a nerve, did I?" Tenma wonders, although that's all he hits as Ibuki manages to avoid his strikes, a wide grin appearing on his face. "You /tomboy/."
Basically that.
When Yurika returns to the fray, Tenma looks over at her quizzically. Something seems familiar about her, but... Straightened hair? A cloth mask covering her lower face? "And some delinquent gang member? A sukeban and a tomboy, what a joke." The hears the incoming sound, of course, the low thrum that proceeds it, but he also /feels/ it. "Fat chance," the Kiryuu heir mutters, whipping his bokken around; the smoky crimson aura that surrounds the blade makes for a red afterimage in the wake of the slash, and from that afterimage is formed a crescent of roiling bloody chi, that actually cuts /through/ Yurika's sonic attack - because SHUT UP, that's how - and keeps on barrelling back towards the young lady her own self. "Graaah!!"

Yurika could only shake her head to Ibuki. She's had to put up with that cheerful demeaner for quite some time, but for her to get irritated sometimes was a breath of fresh air for the darker clad kunoichi. Amusing even. That alone is enough reason for her not to advise that Ibuki just keep her trap shut; she's well aware of annoyance to Tenma being like blood to a shark.
As Yurika is gradually pushed back into the more open area, she's thankfully also granted more space to evade, she hops over Hakuya's sweep, and draws her head back just enough to avoid the full impact of the secound part of the attack, but not fully. The clip does assist in her falling into a defensive position, and Tenam's attack slams against her resonating forks knocking her back further in the process. Did she absorb it or something?
Ibuki isn't 100 percent easy to predict. Yurika can't tell if Tenma's taunting will goad the other ninja into switching targets.
Sukeban? . That.. Was new. She'll have to remember that one.
Now her plans are a bit of a mess now; perhaps first thing's first and that's to try to get Hakuya off her back and see what happens from this point. She joins attacks with Ibuki, mimicing her strikes almost perfectly, fork-flat strike to elbow thrust.

Tenma's specialty at ticking people off always was a bit of a mystery to Hakuya, who would never dream of saying some of the things Tenma does. Not that he really thinks Tenma is being mean, as most would put it. He was being honest! And, well, also doing a kind of tactics: in that if he did manage to irritate someone, they usually fought less focused, less well. But at least in this one instance, with Hakuya and Tenma both hitting Yurika, it seemed to work out well: they were attacking him both. And that's exactly where he wants to be! His kicks don't really work as well as he'd hoped, but that's fine. In exchange, seeing both of the female ninjas turning on him, the Gedo High student lands squarely on his feet, ducks below his arms, and tenses. He manages to ward off Ibuki's attacks, but Yurika's hit home, causing a grunt of pain... but that's about all. For as much as he's gotten hit so far, Hakuya doesn't seem that worse for wear!
Keeping with the chosen target, he flat out ignores everything Ibuki is saying to him, in favor of trying to get Yurika's arm into a joint lock, twisting it and pinning it in place so the elbow locks and refuses to bend. If that's successful, Hakuya will then once more try and sweep the blonde girl's hair out from under her, while pushing on the locked arm, throwing her to the ground.
"Maybe a tiny one captain bakayarou!!" Ibuki says with the annoyance gone from her voice though she's gritting her teeth while she speaks, not that anyone can see that with her mask and all. Her opinion of Tenma seems to have instantly dropped to point of actually insulting him, something she's not done to any of the other fighters, "Perhaps you should try hitting me again, wait what am I saying you couldn't even manage that last time could you?" Ibuki taunts Tenma while her partner gets hammered by lots of attacks she frowns...this wasn't going well...the ninja girl considers for a moment winks playfully at Yurika as she manages to not get knocked around too much.
"Hmmm, guess punk boy is mine then." The brown clad ninja girl turns to face Tenma and races at him suddenly shifting her weight at the end as though to throw a kick but instead she drops to the ground and slides between Tenma's legs, or at least attempts to do so, if all goes well she stands back up behind him wraps her slender arms around his neck and gives him an excruciatingly slow and painful readjustment of the spin localized in the neck region.

Honestly... Does Tenma Kiryuu really seem like somebody who cares overly much if other people like him or not?
He certainly doesn't go out of his way to make friends, or anything.
As Hakuya manages to... Mostly deal with the two girls, Tenma almost seems like he's been forgotten here off to the side, when of course Ibuki comes after him, instead. Divide and conquer, maybe? The ninja girl slides easily between the Kiryuu heir's legs, and then grabs him by the /neck/, and there's a horrible cracking sound as Ibuki exerts her influence on very important parts of Tenma's spine. And it /hurts/. But what Tenma says is:
"Ohh, a masseuse, huh? Do you give a 'happy ending' afterwards?"
Because he's Like That.
Rather than giving Ibuki time to recover from her own attack and, with every intention of striking the girl while she's open, Tenma fights through the pain and smashes his head backwards, aiming for the ninja girl's masked face. If he lands that, and presumably gets himself some more room, the Gedo swordsman twists about, sweeping his chi-emanating bokken in a vicious slash at the side of Ibuki's head. "Hraaah!!"

Augh. Ok this was clearly a lose-lose situation for Kirishima, apparently she had forgetten just how lewd Tenma can get, so if she had to decide between that or Ibuki's chipperness, it was.. It wasn't an easy decision. Perhaps she has no choice but to leave this to fate and deal.
In the meantime things have started to get into order. Orderly, just the way Yurika likes it. The only disappointement being that she couldn't deal with Tenma herself but maybe Hakuya will make a miscalculation and end up knocking himself out of the fight. Mmnnn. That'd be nice.
She's learned first hand that Hakuya is no slouch when it comes to grapples, it's difficult even for her to weather them easily so when he attempts another she makes a little extra effort to slip her arm free before anything can be locked in, pirouetting so that she's diagonal to his back, forks clinking togeather. "Hello." she finally greets as she counter-attacks.
With blurred sound-energy following her swipes, the first strike with her fork is aimed to bean the side of Hakuya's head. The semi-target being his nerves that would very briefly dizzy him. Through this dizziness it'd then make her second attack simple to pull off, the same arm striking right at the back of his knees to sweep him off his feet. Graceful motions without missing a beat.

Ibuki seems to finally turn away from Hakuya. Which isn't precisely what he wants - but it's not like he can give 'attention' to both girls to make them stay attacking him, huh? That had been a part of his plan. Keep the pressure on himself, and let Tenma take the two down while he 'tanked' everything. But unfortunately Tenma's taunting finally gets to the better of Ibuki, and she strikes out at the blood-chi user. Oh well. Meanwhile, Yurika slips out of his grasp, which is never a good thing. And he's hit from - sound? The energy slaps him upside the head, causing him to stagger, and then without much in the way of defense against the second attack, Hakuya is on his back!
He lolls around for a moment, blinking rapidly to try and get his bearings back. And before they fully do, he's already hopping up onto his feet again. "Um..." he starts. And then: "Hi!" It WAS the proper thing to do. And then his gloved hands shoot out to try and grapple Yurika's clothes, and her with them, tugging her forward towards him, then flipping her into a hip toss - only if that part is successful, he'll wheel around and try to find her before she hits the ground with his foot, kicking her into the floor rather than merely letting her fall.

Her neck snapping hits quite nicely and she's thrilled with that but he has to be a smartass about instead of getting upset like she wants to she winks at him, "Only to boys I like, for you though that'll be 20,000 yen."
Her own smart ass comment costs her though as she takes the shot to the face, her head snapping back and away as she feels her nose strain but not quite break, her tear filled eyes fall on Tenma as the bokken comes swinging around to hit her but she turns at just the right moment for it to instead strike her across the back, "Gah!" She then slides up right next to him her face mere inches from his own, "I really am starting to dislike bokken and shinai." She grouses and then cheerfully adds, "But this is going to hurt you more than me."
With that she attempts to slam her right hand into the other fighter, a ball of chi suddenly forming around it, if it lands a massive spike of chi will join with the strike to stab into Tenma's internal organs before she super charges it and sends him flying away with a mild explosion of the chi she stabbed inside him.

At the moment, things don't seem to be going too well for the team of Tenma Kiryuu and Hakuya Suigetsu, does it? The Kiryuu heir faces off with Ibuki, arrogance writ in every line of his face and form, and it seems that right now... He's going to pay for it.
Lunging into Ibuki's attack, Tenma aims to strike her with his chi-emanating weapon before her attack can reach him, and he... Miscalculates. His bokken glances off of the incoming attack, and goes wide, which leaves him wide open for Ibuki's strike, the sudden surge of chi causing pain to lance through his body and hurling the 'demon hunter' back, where he lands with an unceremonious crash on the far side of the deck.
"Heh," comes Tenma's voice, as he starts to pick himself up, spitting a gob of blood onto the deck as he rises. "Guess you were right about that, Tomboy."

How can Hakuya ever tank anything with a partner like Tenma. That guy pulls aggro without even breaking a sweat!
But enough geek talk.
She would chuckle in amusement to Hakuya's return greeting though; the fact that he was an unusually plesent fellow was a mere rumor about Seijyun. It looks like it was true after all and it just makes her more annoyed with Tenma. Tch.
Yurika keeps close to Hakuya, which may seem to be disadvantagous to her but she also moves quickly as her oponent finds, he reaches out and ends up grasping at nothing, Yurika looking like she did some sort of jedi hovering trick or something to move -just- out of his grasp at the last possible moment.
"How are you?" she then asks, though her eyes strangely aren't showing any sort of emotion, expression flat. What's that girl up to? Likely nothing good, as the kunoichi crosses her forks togeather once more and stands perfectly straight, concentrating to shift her chi down to her legs.

Damn, this ninja girl was slippery! --Of course, that's probably the point, being a ninja and all. His attempt to fling her by her clothes doesn't quite work the way he intended for it to happen, with her just kind of backstepping out of it without much effort, it seems like. This leaves the Gedo teen blinking in confusion. That one /always/ worked... usually, anyway. And it's about now that Ibuki full out blows Tenma to smithereens, just about. "Tenma!" The Guardian King second shouts back at his friend as the captain stands up, spitting blood. He looks worried. Shifting back to look at Yurika, she asks how he is. "Um," he starts. "Fine. Yourself?" A pause. "Can you wait one moment? My friend needs some help."
And with that, Hakuya is no longer paying attention to Yurika, at least not directly. Since she's not attacking him, he takes that as leave to turn, move over towards Ibuki, and unceremoniously punch her, to try and distract from his friend. After a hit like that Tenma probably needs a minor break! Unsportsmanlike, perhaps, but Hakuya never said he was sportsmanly; this was far more serious than his normal matches, at least to him.

Retaking her fighting stance Ibuki faces Tenma as he picks himself up off the floor, "I'm right about a lot of things, clown-chan. You just don't know me well enough to know that yet." Her tone cheerful and energetic as ever, smacking him down that hard seems to have molified any animosity she had been feeling due to his nickname for her, or so it'd seem.
Ibuki takes a half second to look over to the fight between Hakuya and Yurika, "Keep it up partner!!!" She cheers before he eyes lock onto Tenma again. And catches the attack Hakuya tries to launch at her, "Nope sorry!" She says as she lets the swing pass right by her head as she tilts to the right and lets his momentum carry him passed her.
Returning her attention to Tenma as he pulls himself back up, Ibuki tucks a hand behind her and her chi swirls as she redirects it into a waiting object, "Now !" With that she races at Tenma looking for the world like she's about to try and break his neck again but this time instead of dropping down to slide, she leaps up and to his right, "Catch!" She pulls out a kunai that is glowing a light blue color as she launches it at the other fighter with amazing force.

No sir, Tenma Kiryuu is not enjoying this, not one little bit. The last thing he's interested in at this point, after everything they've gone through - after someone DIED to get them here - is for himself and Hakuya to be defeated by some random pair of girls. His grin sharpens, and his dark blue eyes narrow faintly, and then Ibuki throws a kunai at him.
"See, the mistake you're making here, is that you're assuming I'm done," the King of Blood says; Ibuki is fast, there's no denying that. But... Once again, he sweeps his bokken through the air, a red afterimage following the blade; once again, that afterimage gives life to a crescent of blood and chi, that surges forward through the air. It meets the kunai.
It goes THROUGH the kunai, the chi-enhanced ninja weapon neatly cut in half, lengthwise, both halves dropping towards the deck and sticking in, point first, while the bloody projectile continues on towards the ninja girl. "...I'M JUST GETTING /STARTED/!"
That was a little unexpected, actually that was completely unexpected a reaction to Yurika, she didn't intend on him actually moving on to her teammate. With the pressure put on her partner for a moment, the kunoichi is forced to move a little faster in preparing her technique and thankful it seems she had just enough time to do so. As requested though, she waits. Just only until the distorted chi is surrounding her body that is.
And then once she has the chance there's another gentle chime from her forks and she bursts forward, the blurred sound makes itself an extension of her twin forks and when she thrusts her weapons forward she aims to 'pierce' Hakuya right in the back moving almost like the blink of an eye. There isn't a moment of hesitation in that motion either, the 'blades' poking from his body should she connect and then vibrate like crazy sending his nerves into a complete frenzy for the moment.
And once she felt he had enough is when the energy faded, she drawing her arms back to twirl the weapons between her fingers. ".. I don't think you are anymore." Fine that is.

Turning your back on Yurika is probably not a good idea. In fact, turning your back on a ninja in general is probably not a good idea, no. But Hakuya was determined now to help Tenma out... and there was something to be said for focus firing, so to speak, as long as we're using geek terms. Unless, you know, the ninja natural dodgeyness comes into full effect. Which it does! His fist misses Ibuki, and she taunts him, if much lighter than she does to Tenma. It doesn't seem to really phase him much.
That is, until Yurika's all up in his business with /sonic swords/.
The noise coming from Hakuya is less 'grunt' and more a full scream of pain at this point, because he's never quite felt something that painful in his life. He even staggers a bit after the swords are pulled out, then rights himself. And what does he do? ...Doesn't even look Yurika's way. Such is his 'devotion' to Tenma, it seems. For now he attempts to less punch Ibuki and more grab her about the waist, and like Yurika before her, he attempts to hip toss her. The difference comes in the aftermath. Rather than trying to kick Ibuki into the ground, Hakuya will turn and try and knee the ninja in the back to send her back up into the air, then grab and suplex her into the ground. Assuming he can move fast enough, anyway.

Ibuki suddenly finds herself being attacked from both Hakuya and Tenma and she can't say she enjoys it at all, the brown clad ninja charges a pair of kunai and uses them to block the incomming chi attack with only a minor injury to herself before Hakuya comes in at her and attempts to throw her, she chuckles a little bit as she instantly drops like a sack as he attempts to grab her then rolls away from the duo as she springs back up.
"You know you're making an assumption too clown-chan, you're assuming I've been taking you seriously this whole fight." As if to prove her point she yawns and makes a very big show of it, she then winks, "Hmm should I take a nap or actually get serious...decisions decisions." She muses aloud using her chatter to by herself time to breath and recuperate a bit from the fighting...at least for the moment her eyes already falling on Tenma as she seems to be deciding what to do next.

Oh, come on.
Tenma watches as Ibuki manages to avoid the full brunt of Hakuya's attack, and manages to deflect most of his own, and a sour expression twists at his face. "You know somethin', Tomboy? You're really starting to piss me off." He's not here to play games. He's not here because he thinks this is going to be fun.
Well, only a little bit because he thinks it's going to be fun.
Rolling his shoulders, Tenma straightens up to his full height, chi-emanating bokken slanted against his shoulder, while his other hand stays at his side, thumb tucked into his pants pocket. His posture is relaxed, confident. A lion at his ease on a hill... Waiting for the right moment to strike. "But fine, you wanna sit around and play kindergarten games? Get lost. People are dying out there, and I'm gonna put an end to it, if I have to break every bone in your body. And that goes for your Sukeban girlfriend, too."
He looks past Ibuki, to Hakuya, and he nods, once.

Yurika can't really complain that Hakuya still continues to keep the pressure on her partner- From her point of view Hakuya and Tenma have at last shifted to an efficient and acceptable strategy.
However that doesn't mean she doesn't have a plan for it. She always has a plan. But when Tenma seems to have finally had enough with Ibuki, the kunoichi couldn't help but smirk. With her teammate settling back a bit, Yurika brushes forward to pick up the slack.
"You really think you can end it? That's.. A laughable claim at best." she murmurs to Tenma, hopping into the air to try and plant a roundhouse kick at the sword-wielders head. This is followed up with an uppercut like motion with her forks under the boys chin, finalized with a short burst forward, shoulder-first. "wreckless people like yourself just get in everyone elses way. Perhaps a decent strategy would be for -you- to get lost."
Hakuya couldn't tell what the difference here was. In his past fights during this Jinchuu tournament (if you could call it that), he'd done well. And now it was like everything he tried was too slow, somehow. Were these ninjas just on a different level? Or was he letting certain DEPRESSING FACTORS kick in? Ibuki taunts them by saying she isn't even taking them - well, Tenma - seriously. Yurika chimes in thinking it's laughable they can pull it out at this point. And maybe it is.
Hakuya takes a step back as Ibuki evades him again, and he lets out a panted breath, trying to focus a bit more. And then, suddenly, he's answering Yurika. Forcefully. "I don't know what you intend to do... with what it is we seek. You say you want it for your clan. Do you even have an intention to stop Katsuten with it?" Stepping back again, the Guardian King seems to break off his attack for right now, even as Tenma gets totally picked on.
"Someone gave their LIFE to get Tenma and I here. If you're after power, then I have to deny you, because that's what he would've wanted. But if you're after the same thing we are, we should team up, this fight is pointless." Reaching back, Hakuya grabs the edge of the hood on his hoodie, and pulls it up, concealing his features and his eyes. "But if you keep fighting, I'll have no choice but to get serious." He settles into a more solid fighting stance, trying to get himself together.

Ibuki has to consider Hakuya's words for a few moments, "I don't know what my clan wants to do with it...but If I can save some lives by getting a hold of it, I will do so because that's the type of person I am!" She sounds absolutely sure of that, "So I dont' see why we can't wor..." Tenma's threat and comments stop her words cold.
Ibuki is what you'd call up beat yet fairly level headed, she might be energetic and friendly but that doesn't mean she doesn't have a serious side, especially given the nature of her life and exactly what her training was for. Now a part of her, the part that'd like to be a normal girl, would probably turn around and leave or join up with them after Hakuya's offer but the fact that Tenma has been trying to annoy her this entire time and the fact the two of them seem to think their situation out weighs her situation, finally gets to her.
"This tournament is dangerous, I knew it coming in...I've nearly died more than a half dozen times at this point, most of them via falling from great heights, at least once in a fire, so yeah I can see people dying during this thing...but you know what? We all came knowing the dangers even though some of us didn't want to come, some of us have to because we're told to do it, and we can't let those people down no matter how much we might want to." She grits her teeth and draws two kunai, "So instead of me trying to make the best of this situation or helping you...let's do what jerk boy wants and get serious, I won't apologize when I hurt either of you. So be ready to get knocked off this boat!"
With that she tosses one of the Kunai which has a small smoke bomb attached to it, exploding into a ball of obscuring black gas, Ibuki isn't where she was before she's vanished until just a moment later she springs from the gas cloud the kunai held backwards in one hand as the leaping spin that carries her out of the cloud, it appears she's using momentum, gravity, and her own body weight to attempt to drive the kunai pretty deep into Tenma's body, or so it appeared at first...at the last moment she shifts the kunai and attempts to slam her fist as hard as possible into Tenma's sternum.

Sadly, Tenma's brief break didn't help him very much, it seems.
Though the tall young man's usual confidence is still riding high, part of him has to wonder; what's he doing wrong? Is his head just not in the game? Is he still recovering from the battle with the super M0M0, or just from dealing with Zach? Is he really that upset about somebody being murdered in the process of saving his best friend's life?
Of course, the idea that he /cannot/ somehow pull a victory out of this... Never enters Tenma's thoughts at all.
"You shut up!" Tenma says as Yurika attacks him, suddenly springing into motion; he /slaps/ her kick away, although it sends a sting down his arm, neatly getting himself out of the way of any followup. "Maybe a decent strategy would be for YOU to shut up until you know what you're talkin' about, huh?!" Actually, she's starting to remind him of someone, but he can't... Quite remember /who/.
Probably not important.
Ibuki, however, proves to be the bigger threat once again, as the ninja girl charges at him in anger for his words, which is... Pretty normal, yeah. "He was killed by a /person/, Tomboy," Tenma responds, coldly angry; maybe not a 'person', though. Going by Hakuya's description, Juri might be more of a 'demon'. Another Marise. So he'll...
Tenma is, as ever, undaunted by the kunai or the explosion of smoke, lunging into it with his own attack, attempting to stop Ibuki short with a slash of his bokken... But the obfuscation of the smoke, and maybe other factors, allow Ibuki's treachery to bear noticeable fruit, the strike to his sternum driving the demon hunter back at a stagger.
".. Ironic." is about all that Yurika could, or at least would -allow- herself to say after Tenma's words to her. She most certainly could go on a tirade about the whole scenario, but in this tournament she decided to leave the majority of her social skill behind. With Ibuki back in the game, though, Yurika decides to back off, her part here was done.
So her attention turned to Hakuya instead, only shaking her head at him. She knew it, she could tell from the beginning that they were fighting with their hearts and it just further proved to her that they were destined for complete failure. The case was shakier with Ibuki, though, she was inefficient (in her opinion), but not to the point of uselessness at least.
But she had to give the calmer of the two credit for attempting to negotiate. The only bad thing was she had no say here, she left Ibuki to make the decisions this fight. Unusual, considering her dislike of depending on others, "We choose to fight." she repeats, thrusting a kick to Hakuya's gut.

Hakuya tried to plead. It actually DID seem to him like maybe, just maybe, these two were on the right side. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if they both stopped fighting... or, in the worst case scenario, Tenma and he lost. The grappler is comforted by this a little bit. But it didn't mean they shouldn't still try to win. After all, undoubtedly these two kunoichi had something in mind. It might even be Doing The Right Thing. But it wasn't what Tenma and he had planned, since they weren't the same people. Knowing what Hakuya knows, it seemed like the best option would be for the Guardian Kings to be guardian kings.
And then the fighting starts again anyway.
Tenma looks to be getting hurt, which isn't the best thing to have happen. But fortunately Hakuya isn't feeling so bad any more since he took that brief rest. And then, while Tenma tries to deal with both girls' attacks, Yurika turns to strike at him again, declaring they choose to fight. ...And Hakuya just lifts a gloved hand and stops Yurika's kick. Cold. There might even be a force wave extending out from the impact hitting the sudden brick wall of Hakuya's hand. It'd be sweet.
"Very well," the kineticist says. And then he shoves Yurika back and away from him - in order to get at Ibuki again. The plan wasn't really any /different/ than before, the grappler is just going to try and be a little more serious about things. A jean-clad leg lashes out and tries to catch Ibuki's own legs, and with a hand extending to press in against the ninja girl's stomach, Hakuya will unceremoniously try to sweep Ibuki to the floor.

Ibuki's fist finds Tenma's sternum easily enough before she flips back and away for a moment as she was glad the counter attack he'd launche had failed to land on her. She was serious now but despite her training and the sometimes brutal moves she uses due to her style she's not a killer, she regards Tenma as she coils herself for her next attack. "Who do you think caused me to be knocked out in a fire or to nearly plumet to my death, jerk boy!!" As though it were the most obvious thing that those events happened during tournament fighting.
As the grappler approaches and tries to take her legs out from under her Ibuki responds by flipping forward and walking on her hands before falling forward into a crouch in front of Tenma, straining her muscles she lauches herself at the center of his body intending to send him airborne!
But that's not where it ends if she manages the launching she leaps up after him flipping in mid air so that she can actually land on his head with both her feet and use him as a spring board for further height as she propels him back to the deck with the strength of her body weight and lower body strength.

Coughing and doubled up, Tenma is nevertheless capable of summoning the air to give voice to this particular gem of sass: "I dunno... I figured you probably just tripped and fell, Tomboy!"
Yeah, this is pretty much how he is, all the time.

Ibuki's ability to avoid getting hit is incredibly frustrating, as Tenma watches her deftly dodge Hakuya's latest attempt to get at her. "Or maybe you just jumped too far dodging somebody," he adds, grouchily; as the ninja girl crouches in front of him, Tenma switches stances, holding his bokken horizontally at his side, point towards Ibuki, bracing it with one hand on the hilt and the other hovering near the point. As she moves, so does he, stabbing at her... But the chi-emanating weapon glances off of Ibuki's momentum, and with a definite and very dirty word, Tenma is hurled into the air...
And then, courtesy of ninja technique, knocked back down to the deck, landing roughly.
He doesn't seem to be moving...?!
Well that was unexpected.
When pushed back by Hakuya's flawless catch and push, Yurika manages to control her balance to flip and land on her feet, though doesn't even bother to take a defensive positioning afterward. She is impressed with how evasive Ibuki is being, though, she actually was uncertain that the other ninja could work under pressure and still run her mouth. Just. Wow.
She pauses long enough to see Tenma hit the ground, unmoving- She's curious to see what Ibuki will do but in the meantime she again attacks at Hakuya's back with a short burst of movment, holding her forks not unlike golf-clubs as she swings with her sound energy trailing the attack. The impact would be enough to launch Hakuya upward.
Yurika leaps right up after, with a combination of kicks and jabs ideally pushing him away from her teammate.

Tenma isn't looking so good. In fact, seeing his grab - yet again - fail to actually work against Ibuki, he's given a moment to see the ninja perform an aerial stunt, Tenma attempt to intercede into the action, and fail once more. Getting knocked onto the floor, Tenma then stops moving and... that doesn't look good. "Tenma!" Hakuya cries out again. He's a little torn as to what to do. He was trying to help distract Ibuki, but it doesn't seem to really be working. And then there's the other ninja, again, creeping up on him. He once again can't quite make it to defend properly, though being built roughly like a wall helps some. He'd knocked around, then kicked back into the ground.
Rising to his feet, he seeks to try and get attention off Tenma, assuming he's even active any more, by doing the only thing his beaten, bruised form can think to do. He just tries to find where Yurika will be landing, and sock her right in the kisser. Because that'll totally garner attention.
"Obviously you're pretty blind then!" Ibuki retorts back as she leaps off Tenma's head, "I don't do that sort of thing but I will show you what I do!" Ibuki flips upside down in the air and uses her toes to cling to a fixture for a moment, "Jerk boy!" She yells as she springs off this straight at Tenma...
As she falls to the ground aiming right at Tenma's face she notes he seems very still and suddenly went very quiet so she stops her initial attack and instead lands very close and peers at him for a moment before her eyes narrow! "Quit your lame acting!!! Ninja are trained to see through deception!!"
With that said she reaches out to grab the boy by his shirt and hip throw him as hard as she can into a stack of nearby crates, "Hyah!!!" If she's more mad about what he's been saying or his attempt to make her think he was unconscious who knows!

At this point, Tenma Kiryuu has had quite enough.
When Ibuki calls him on his not particularly impressive deception (actually he just didn't especially want to get up) the King of Blood doesn't react. He doesn't even react when the ninja girl grabs him by the scruff of his shirt and drags him up... But his mouth pulls into a very unpleasant grin, and he stomps one foot onto the deck to brace himself - sending a tingle of pain up his leg as he resists Ibuki's throw by brute strength more than anything else - and then hurls himself into the girl.
What he does is pretty straightforward: He smashes his forehead into Ibuki's face, with an incredible amount of force, the sheer transmitted kinetic energy enough to send the girl flying.
"I am not DONE YET!" Tenma bellows, breathing raggedly as he stands there. He looks... Pretty /close/ to done, though.

Yurika, of course, isn't one whom likes to be struck if she can help it, but in a situation like this, it actually may prove an effective way to deliver the best kind of counter-attack. Hakuya may or may not be surprised when his fist ends up landing into the kunoichi's face, and if he is, she would take full advantage either way. She was dropping from above with a subtle glow of chi right at her feet.
As she landed and the hit struck she was already moving in the same direction on one foot, preparing a twirl as her forks clashed togeather once more. She proceeded to spin like a freaking tazmanian devil or something, the distorted energy being woven into a half-orb of pure energy as a result- If Hakuya caught on fast enough he may be able to slip away but if not, well his body would once more be battered by her sound techniques, drawn into the wave and then blasted back once completed!
Aside from that, Yurika couldn't help but be a little amused by Ibuki's calling Tenma out. She had to confess, she wasn't expecting that. Perhaps she judges her partner to harshly after all.

Oh, Tenma wasn't down. Well, that was a relief. He couldn't quite tell, since he was, you know. Busy. But Ibuki's calling out of Tenma's 'deception' was heard even as his fist strikes against Yurika's masked face, and that seems to gladden him a little bit. While he would've been able to hold out a little bit against both ninjas, possibly, the morale problem would've been worse. He and Tenma are giving a hell of a fight, even if their attacks are hard to actually make land.
Scratch that, Tenma -did- just land a hit. And it seemed to hurt.
Inspired by this, feeling a surging Guardian King pride, Hakuya looks as Yurika begins her own attack, taking the fist to the face in stride which allows her to move a little faster. Fortunately for Hakuya, he's a bit better on the ball. As Yurika spins, throwing out that half-orb of energy, Hakuya's hands glow blue. Throwing out one hand, he more or less -punches- Yurika's orb of sound energy, stopping it dead cold. A wave of air pressure explodes out from around where fist meets energy, and for a moment the Guardian King just leaves it right there, seeming to struggle.
And then, he punches it right back at Yurika.
Well she knew he had been conscious, Ibuki however wasn't expecting the vicious counter attack as he headbutts her face knocking her backwards as she reaches out and looks like she's going to fall back. The ninja girl refuses to give up, however, and her eyes snap open despite the pain in her face telling her to close her eyes and let them tear up as she goes flying. She instead focuses all of her chi to her right hand and prepares...
"Good! Neither am I." She says as she shakes off the last of his head but and stands up, shakes herself off and closes the distance with unusual speed, with his chi perception Tenma might note that she surged a bit from her hand to her legs to do this.
She then attempts to reach out like she did earlier and hit him in the exact same spot that her nasty chi attack had hit earlier with a ball ten times the size of the first one surrounding her fist, if it should happen to land Tenma will be hit by wave after wave of chi followed up by a elbow strike to the ribs finsihing off with her chi filled hand funneling a final massive explosive blast of chi through her arm into his body that would surround them both in bluish chi energy before blowing him far away from her.

But this time, Tenma Kiryuu has the advantage.
Perhaps he got his head in the game too late, but it's there now; as he feels the flow of the battle, feels the movement of Ibuki's chi against the ambient chi of the world... Gritting his teeth, running on fumes, the Gedo swordsman steps into the oncoming Ibuki's attack with a bellow. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA--"
He reaches behind himself as he moves, blood red prayer beads on his left wrist clicking against one another as that hand grasps the hilt of the red Miraitou he carries through his belt, pulling the ninja-forged blade free and swinging it...
"-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA--"
INTO the chi attack directed by Ibuki, the blade gleaming with ghostly red light as their respective life forces clash with one another, Tenma channelling his power through the short-bladed weapon, and slicing THROUGH Ibuki's attack, the backwash of power rushing over him, searing him, but...
"--AAAAAAAAA--" The Kiryuu demon hunter follows through, as the tremendous chi forces erupt into an explosion of sheer, unbridled power, and he SLASHES at Ibuki with the very real, not friendly and made out of wood blade of the Miraitou, before giving the girl a good kick away! "-AAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!"
Staggering back afterwards, the outpouring of chi flickers and flares, the aura emanating from his blessed bokken waxing and waning in an opposite beat to the Miraitou's, until both vanish entirely and Tenma lands on his ass, then falls flat on his back, gasping for air. He's conscious, but he's not going to be able to fight.

Yurika has seen a few ways that her technique had been defended against.
This one was almost entirely new to her, and the kunoichi actually had no idea the boy was capable of such a feat. Her eyes widened a little in shock as the moment she stopped spinning, the exact same moment she saw her energy completely in her face, "!!"
She crossed her forks togeather, in an almost desperate attempt to get her guard up, but it simply doesn't happen, her gaurd is broken and the next thing she knows she's trapped within her own vortex and slung to the side, smashing through a couple of the few scattered wooden crates about the area.
She tumbled along the floor, yet was able to shift at least some of the momentum to get to her feet and stop herself from hitting wall.
These boys, they certainly don't give up very easily do they? But YUrika was convinced their fate was sealed from the very beginning, and she was going to make sure of it. She closed her eyes briefly as she focused her energies once more, though this time onto herself rather than at her opponent, then proceeded to dash toward him again. Once she got close enough she'd attempt to slam her weapon over Hakuya's head, followed by a lower sweep to try and knock him off his feet once more. If she'd managed to get that far, She'd then raise her foot to stomp sharply down upon his head, almost a mimcry of his technique with her own twist. Almost.

After sending Yurika's projectile back at her, the Guardian King second has to take a moment to shake his hands, smoke actually rising from his gloved hands from the reflect. Though reflections were technically a part of the Suigetsu-ryuu, he almost never used them unless they were against, you know. /Demons/. Since that was what Suigetsu-ryuu was all about. But he'd already declared his intention to defy them, and even went so far as to put his hoodie up. That's why he used it... and why Yurika was probably surprised.
This pause gives him time to see Tenma's last, fearless push against Ibuki, at least out of the corner of his eye. The swordsman deals some incredible damage to Ibuki, it seems, but even still, he's out. Crap. This was a desperate struggle, it seemed. Yurika's calm reason versus the Gedo Boys' BURNING PASSION. And though reason seemed to have the upper hand, Gedo /never/ went down without a fight. So, with Tenma down, and two opponents still up, Hakuya has his work cut out for him. And Yurika decides to dish out some of the pain. But he's ready for it. Raising his arms up, and planting his feet, Hakuya flat out denies both the overhead strike and the leg sweep. Yurika might as well be punching and kicking a wall. Even if the stomp comes, he'll take it on the shoulder, batting it aside, as he turns--
And heads for Ibuki. A step, another, and Hakuya is suddenly airborne, twisting his body around to try and cyclone kick Ibuki in a wide arc. If he succeeds, he'll land on his feet and follow it up with a turn into a close-fisted backhand across the ninja woman's face, to try and finish what Tenma had been doing.

It hurt, she'd not been expecting him to push through the Yoroi Doushi like that...but he'd done it and he'd hit her hard with that blasted bokken of his, she really was going to wind up with a complex related to those if getting thrashed by them continued for her. But given the situation the Ninja girl does the one thing she can and rides the insane flare of Chi surrounding the two of them before getting kicked away from him and gritting her teeth at the pain of it all.
Flying through the air trailing energy in streams behind her as she head for a rough landing against the deck feeling her consciousness slip, she finds herself unsatisfied with this situation she found herself really loathing possibly losing to that loud mouthed full of himself jerk, suddenly consciousness surges back into her as she grits her teeth and her body does one thing it's been trained to do and pull on all ambiant Chi to help shore up injuries and ready herself for more fighting, pushing herself past human limits...as her body absorbs the Chi she suddenly has the strength to move again and flips landing on her feet she takes stock of the situation.
Still a bit dazed from her attack Ibuki is too dazed to fully dodge the attack that Hakuya tries to finish her off with but, she does manage to make it the merest glancing of blows, as she grins at him a bit unconsciously as she continues to stand after slipping through a hole in his last attack, "Still nope!" She winks.
Her eyes regain focus after a moment and she notes with some satisfaction it was not she that had been knocked out but the jerk, "HA!" She crows and then looks to her partner as Yurika finds herself attacked with her own attack and the brown clad ninja decides now is the time to use one of her paper seals, not that they'd normally do Ibuki good due to having to be placed on part of the back that she can't get to without help, she races forward and places it on Yurika's back.
Grinning she funnels a bit of her chi into it to activate it, "Now kick his butt hardcore partner and lets end this once and for all!" She enthuses as Yurika might very well find herself filled with a surge of power and energy similar to the very best of adernaline highs!

Well now this fight was full of all sorts of little surprises! Yurika never doubted that Ibuki wouldn't hesistate to attack beside her, but to actually use a technique like that to assist her? Quite a surprise indeed, though she wasn't really sure she liked her partner still managing to be unpredictable.
In this case, though, she'll let this one go. After all it isn't all the time that they're in situations like this, so there is a little more room for error.
Hakuya was the bigger problem anyway, and with Ibuki's assistance she found herself in the position to burst forward, making a beeline right toward the Guardian King and taps her forks togeather once more. Energy trailed behind her her as she got closer and closer until with a jerk of her hips she proceeded to spin like crazy yet again, forming the semi-circle of energy around her once more but this time with a twist. Almost wearing it like a giant shield, she leapt diaginally upward, intending to slam the energy into Hakuya and carry him upward, and eventually sandwich him between the projectile and the wall, working the musical energy into his body like a juicer.

Quick ninjas are quick. Though Hakuya had tried to take that into account this time, all it managed to do was help him somewhat knick Ibuki, which just wasn't sufficient enough to take her out, despite her looking like she's in some bad shape. Or that's what he thinks, anyway. It wasn't like he was an analytical fighter! He barely scratches her in that attack, and then she skips over to help Yurika out with some kind of... paper seal or something. The obvious side effect of this is that the blonde ninja is suddenly /rocketed forward/. Oh my.
Hakuya gets a blink in, and then does the only thing he can think to do. He crosses his arms in front of him in a big X shape, steadies his footing... and just lets Yurika slam into him. He isn't lifted off the ground, but he is pushed back, sneakers digging hard into the deck. About a foot... two... Yurika manages to push him back, all the while the sound energy jars into him, making him grit his teeth. And then, he's pushing past it. "I. Won't. Let YOU!" He cries out, and moves past Yurika. The blonde was in better shape, and while not a brilliant strategist or anything, he was pretty sure a stiff punch would put Ibuki under. So he tries that. Running to the black haired girl, he tries for a simple underhanded fist to the ninja's stomach, fast and simple.

Ibuki is tired and has been focused attacked by both Hakuya and Tenma for a while now, it was only a matter of time before she went down. But being the fighter that she is she doesn't give up even in defeat she smirks widely as the punch lands then she flexes the muscles in her legs quite suddenly, "This is all I can do for you partner, you better win this thing!" She roars...
With Hakuya so close to her she suddenly whirls into a full spin all her energy and chi pushed into her legs as she launches a series of three spin kicks straight at Hakuya's gut each revolution of her foot trailing a wave of bluish chi that extends the range, force, and speed of the kick, "TORA!!!!"
Push and push as she may, she just.. Can't seem to take Hakuya down, not even with her biggest techniques! Is it frustrating to the Kirishima heir? Yes. Was it entirely unexpected?
Well, no. Not at all.
The difference between herself and Ibuki and Tenma and Hakuya is that even if their styles do clash horribly they're friends, they're very good friends and while the power of friendship most certainly has it's flaws (in Yurika's eyes) there's no denying that it drives her opponents to do very annoying things. Eventually Yurika is sent stumbling backward when Hakuya brushes past her to finish the job with Ibuki, ".. Aggrivating." she grumbles to herself.
Forced to again chase after Hakuya, though sneaking up she figured was advantegus to her anyway, there's still a good boost of energy in her steps, she's simply not missing a beat here, despite finding herself getting a little tired. WHile Ibuki strikes from the front, she herself from the back, both her forks are held in one hand this time and she swipes viciously toward his back, energy trailing the motion. At first it doesn't seem like anything happened at all but, assuming Hakuya didn't manage to evade her technique, the back of Hakuya's clothes would burst open in the shape of a claw, with a matching gash from the sound cutting into him.

Hakuya hits Ibuki hard, but not... hard enough it seems. In fact Hakuya seems a little surprised by this, but there's not really time enough to think about it, because Ibuki's trying to hit him again. And this time, acting purely on instinct alone, Hakuya ducks low, letting the first attempt to kick him pass right over his back. Then he leaps back, letting the feets spin past him. And then, the same old story: Yurika is there, coming from the back. Ninjas! Can't do anything about 'em! He's hit from the back, and there's a grunt of pain - only for chi to EXPLODE across his back, sending Hakuya staggering to a wall, his hoodie actually falling from his head.
For a moment, the Suigetsu heir just leans against the wall, panting heavily. Blood was trailing down his face, and one eye was more or less squinched closed. Most of it he was just holding a hand to his stomach, that sound chi wrecking him pretty good. But then... then, he swaggers back to his feet. "I still can't let you do this." He says, and then comes at Ibuki /again/. This time, trying to grab her about the shoulders, and then just fling her into the deck as hard as he can with a quick tossing motion.

Ibuki is more surprised than anyone that she's still standing and yet there she is standing up the energy filling her and keeping her on her feet and she grins as her body begins reacting to her again completely within her power and she can't quite describe the feeling of not getting knocked out and getting to further help her partner in this fight...she had the desire to keep going the distance if nothing else, "Go partner!" She enthuses as Yurika slams her attack into Hakuya's backside as she keeps his attention focused on her.
And that attention stays locked on her as he launches yet another attack to try and take her down, the grab for her shoulders is highlighted as though it were in slow motion, if he caught her she was done and couldn't help Yurika anymore, if he missed though she'd be able to at least distract him one more time and possibly more...thus she puts it all on the line and slides out of the way letting his hands pass right over her as she drops and slides between his legs only to stand up and flip away from the grappler. She takes a moment to pant...but she can't allow herself to merely stand there.
She takes seconds that stretch on for minutes to her and studies Hakuya's moves with every fiber of her being as she plans out what she's going to do, "Nope! I can't let you win this...but I'll stop anything from going wrong, that's my word to you!" She sounds absolutely confident in that fact as she vows to stop the catasrophe before it occurs.

Yurika isn't certain what Ibuki has in mind, but Yurika herself was a little alarmed by how Hakuya still managed to stay on his feet after a strike like that. Well, it was becoming clearer to Yurika now what the Guardian King's primary plan -should- have been, or rather, should have went. It's clear she needs to pay a little more attention to these boys if they manage to survive this insane 'tournament'.
This time when Yurika attacks Hakuya, it is just after he's attempted his throw, and she's.. Actually in front of him now! She thrusts her knee toward his solar plexus, hoping that it'll double him over so she can lean forward and slam the flat of her opposite foot into his face, "Enough is enough already," she finally grumbles, "Even if you did manage to take us both out, you don't have the energy to get the heirloom. Stand down and come up with a 'Plan B'." with her quick combination, Yurika would tumble forward, perhaps pre-emptivly wanting to evade a nasty grappling counter.

Hakuya's attack misses Ibuki, and he more or less stumbles after the failed grab. He isn't -too- exhausted, but he's hurting. Bad. So even after that he needs a moment to recover, panting heavily. He turns, expecting Yurika to be behind him again - only she's not. Which is probably why he doesn't get out of the way in time. With blood covering one eye, he's half-blinded, and she comes in (though perhaps not intentionally!) from his blind spot. He turns, and there's her knee in his chest. It knocks the wind out of him. He does exactly as she envisions: doubling over. And then he's kicked in the face, sending him staggering back... wobble... still on his feet.
Hakuya lurches after Yurika, like some kind of zombie. His hand reaches out... and he does try to grab her. But this time, just one hand. And the grab is done to her shoulder. And it's definitely not strong enough of a grip to be threatening. "Take... us with you. We can help you out. Information... Katsuten, the... the woman with the glowing left eye..." Well. Hakuya tries to do that Plan B thing by suggesting an alliance again. After all, even though the first time he tried it they kept fighting, but now they /had/ to have proven that they're both tough enough to hang with the two ninjas. But whatever else Hakuya was going to say is lost, because he just collapses, right there. Out cold.

Ibuki finishes her study and prepares herself to dodge the inevitable attack that will be coming her way and follow it up with the most massive counter attack she can muster...well that'd been her plan at least until Yurika had gone into a vicious combo and finally felled their other opponent, the brown clad ninja girl could only do one thing at this point, she jumps up and cheers, "Good job PARTNER!!!" She gives Yurika a quick thumbs up and then spins around and sits on her butt to catch her breath after the fight, "Well...that wasn't easy at all." She shakes her head.
Ibuki looks to the fallen Hakuya, "Sorry guy, I told you if we won we'd be kicking you off thanks to your mouthy pal there." The girl sounds a tad sad at that, Hakuya seemed like a nice guy and Ibuki felt a bit bad about letting him down somehow but that thought aside she looks to Yurika, "Let's search them for anything that looks like it might relate to the boat and our scroll then toss them out to the dock." She briefly thinks about looking over the boat but that can be done later....all she knew is that it was nice to be conscious at the end of a fight for once.
Tenma should count himself lucky that they were in a rush though, had Ibuki more time she would have inisisted on hanging him upside down from the dock so that when the tide came in it'd spalsh against his face everytime there was a big wave...

Yurika stood her ground, but her defense was half-hearted- Like she was uncertain if she would try to catch his bluff or not. Tense enough to react to something, but loose enough not to look like too much of a fool should Hakuya fall before her. At last the match is over, but Yurika is left thinking for a moment- It's interesting, as it'd almost seem like Ibuki and herself had switched personalities for a moment.
Eventually her dark eyes shift toward Ibuki, "Don't be too hasty, whatever they have of use to us is likely verbal, not physical." she notes to her teammate. One thing that Yurika really can't resist is information- Though there is a bit of a cursing to herself that she wasn't here as 'Yurika'. This would really have proven to be a fantastic boost in her standing with Gedo High School..
Oh well.
"I'm satisfied with his 'Plan B'. I think it would be beneficial for us to ally with them. For now." They can get what they need easily now, and if somehow her hunch is wrong (yeah right!) they could always ditch them later.
