LLK Act IV.Fin - Fin : OH YEAH!

Description: The best scene in MotM history, bar none.

Chinatown. A small noodle joint. It's empty, deserted in these times of crisis. The time is high noon. Everything is quiet, as if it were actually Mexicotown.

A tumbleweed blows across the store, bumping into a chair.

Suddenly, the two side walls explode inward, showering the interior of the store in a fine layer of plaster. A white, dusty haze fills the room, concealing all within for several long moments. As it slowly starts to clear, traces of color can be vaguely seen on each side. At one end, pinpricks of sickly neon green. At the other, a bright blue sheet, which slowly coalesces into the form of the great wrestler, perhaps even the greatest wrestler, Raiden.

He squints across the diminishing haze of the room, probing with his eyes. Raiden is completely silent, waiting. Watching.

The haze across from Raiden lingers for several seconds longer than the wrestler's, the rolling cloud obscuring everything save for the occasional glimpse of green light. Suddenly, two larger points of light appear almost six feet off the ground, piercing easily through the dust. Something within stirs...

Cody Travers steps into the open. His eyes glow solid green, and his shirt has been torn off, leaving him only in a pair of ragged jeans. His muscles are bulging and swollen, and he looks, to put it simply, a little bit crazy.

The American doesn't move any further, standing completely still as the cloud of dust fades in his wake. He locks eyes with the Big Bear, and his mouth slowly turns up into a grin.

The silence in the room is broken by the sound of Cody's knuckles popping as he curls his hands into fists.

Almost simultaneously, the aussie's lips split apart in a grin to match Cody's, revealing his gleaming pearly whites. Raiden's gigantic hands rise, one curled into a hammish fist to roughly slap into the opposing palm.

Really, it's the only cue the two of them should need.

Raiden's mouth opens wide and he laughs, booming in the confines of the small store. "RAIDEN'S GONNA GET YA, HA HA HA!" Without another word (but continuing laughter), he leaps forward, like a giant bowling ball with legs. Legs that are extended directly toward Cody's chest to smash the Glow'd up con right back through the wall he just came from.

COMBATSYS: Cody Toughs Out Raiden's Super Dropkick!!

[  \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\  < >  ///////////////////////////// ]
Cody             0/-------/---====|=------\-------\0           Raiden

Cody's response to Raiden's statement is to scream, a bestial roar that's oddly modulated by the drugs in the man's system.

When the Big Bear leaps forwards, the blonde lunges, baring his chest to the incoming wrestler. Raiden's feet and Cody's bare chest collide head on, and with such force that a shockwave erupts from the pair, blasting all the dust still lingering around them away from the center of the room where the two fighters meet.

It is impossible to draw a comparison to what it is like to dropkick the chest of Cody Travers. Traditional objects of reference - for instance, a brick wall - are almost worthless, because there is no doubt that there is no brick wall that Raiden could not destroy with his Super Dropkick.

So the only comparison that can really be made about dropkicking Cody Travers in the chest is that it's alot like dropkicking Cody Travers in the chest; it has basically no effect save for stopping his forward motion, and then you get stabbed.

With a flash of motion and a metallic gleam, Cody produces a long, fixed-blade knife from where it was stowed in his belt behind his back. Before Raiden even has time to curl his legs back, the American lifts the weapon into the air and stabs it straight downwards into the wrestler's belly.

COMBATSYS: Cody successfully hits Raiden with Tokushu Koudou.

Cody             0/-------/-======|===----\-------\0           Raiden

Unfortunately, stabbing Raiden's belly is lot like stabbing a waterbed filled with jello and bricks. While the knife easily penetrates the outer layer of flab all the way to the hilt, causing a small geyser of blood to shoot out from the wound, Raiden seems to notice it only as a curiousity. A mere knife cannot stop him.

Conveniently, Raiden himself can stop Raiden any time he wants to. The big man halts, staring down at the protruding knife, and then erupts into laughter. "What is this little twig you've stuck in me? Do you think that it can stop me? Do you think that Raiden will allow it?! Raiden's number one! Raiden is going to take you out!"

Monologue delivered in true professional wrestling fashion, Raiden takes a step forward and reaches out for Cody's arm, looking to whip him around and fling him into a wall. Afterward, he charges, flinging himself into Cody into a wall.

Ironically, of all participants in this exchange, the wall is almost certainly the one who is going to be fucked the most.

COMBATSYS: Cody endures Raiden's Rebound Grapple.

Cody             1/-------/=======|==-----\-------\0           Raiden

Cody waits politely for Raiden to finish speaking. He may be a drug-addled, borderline berserk adrenaline addict, but he's not some kind of jerk.

Finally, the action resumes. Raiden wrenches Cody forwards by the arm, sending him stumbling into a nearby wall; a moment later, the Big Bear crashes into the blonde, and the two explode out through the wall, leaving the shot entirely!

The noodle shop is very still and quiet. The clouds of dust still rolling against the walls of the room slowly begin to settle.

Raiden and Cody explode back into the room from the wall opposite the one they exited, the blonde still flattened against the wrestler's stomach.

Suddenly, Cody digs his heels into the ground, slowing the pair down as his feet carve trenches into the tile floor. He grabs two fistfuls of fat, lifts a foot to plant it against Raiden's stomach, and falls backwards, using the enormous Aussie's momentum in an attempt to send him flying over the noodle joint's counter and into the kitchen beyond it.

COMBATSYS: Raiden interrupts Strong Throw from Cody with Bearhug.

Cody             1/---====/=======|=====--\-------\0           Raiden

Cody's politeness in the face of a rant is the sort of attitude that Raiden appreciates. It shows that his foe has class. Panache. Not even the rampant drug abuse puts off the blossoming respect that Raiden has for Cody.

It's a respect that runs deep, almost as deep as the furrows Cody's feet make as he strains to halt the allegedly unhaltable. "YES! THIS IS FINE!" Raiden booms out even as Cody begins to struggle to shift him. Reaching out with arms bigger than most dwarves, he wraps his meaty hands around Cody's back.

As Raiden takes flight...he doesn't go very far. Firmly clasped to Cody with an iron grip, the only direction left to go is down. It is a natural disaster akin to a tsunami, except with fat instead of water. The salty taste, however, remains, as the wrestler squeezes Travers close on the floor. "LET ME SHOW YOU MY RESPECT! HA HA HA!"

Okay, maybe that was a bad idea.

The air in Cody's lungs explodes out of them (thankfully via his mouth) when he hits the ground with Raiden on top of him. Pinned under a man who weighs well over twice what he does, the blonde gasps for air, struggling to wriggle out from underneath the Big Bear. He lost more than a few friends this way in prison, and he'll be damned if he'll share their fate.

His attempts to escape aren't going too well. Roaring in frustration, Cody bucks around like a broken mechanical bull, slamming his entire body up against Raiden's. It's almost 'totally super gay,' but Raiden's immense bulk keeps the balls from touching.

Finally, Cody is able to rip one of his arms out from underneath the wrestler's bulk. Despite the awkward angle, he draws it back and swings it out at Raiden's face, curving it upwards to deliver the strike to underneath his chin. Moments before his arm reaches full extension, Cody twists his fist violently to the right.

A second later, an enormous whirlwind erupts into existence around the two, laced with thin lines of sickly green chi. It's even powerful enough to lift the Big Bear off the floor and fling him away from the still-prone Cody, who in this brave new world free of friendly fire seems to suffer no ill effects despite a large portion of his chest being inside the very bottom of the tornado.

At least... it probably is.

Maybe.

COMBATSYS: Raiden blocks Cody's Criminal Upper.

Cody             1/---====/=======|=====--\-------\0           Raiden

As Cody wiggles and struggles beneath him, Raiden continues to chuckle. He has killed men beneath his bulk; is Cody strong enough to avoid the same fate!? Signs point to: holy crap tornado uppercut.

Raiden's eyes widen and as he is blasted upward, his hefty girth sent spiralling into the air. Abruptly, he ceases spinning and lands neatly on a table, in an aggressive fighting stance. He is positively looming. It would be pretty fearsome if it weren't for the circular hole drilled in his costume, exposing Raiden's belly button for all the world to see.

"You are strong, my friend, but you are not strong enough to conquer the mountain that is a man that is a Raiden that is a volcano!" Raiden bellows, letting laughter erupt from deep within his bowels. The table starts to shake, and the suddenly collapses in a heap of broken tableparts.

Raiden, naturally, doesn't pause in the slightest, despite being ankle deep in table. He's just saying things about himself. Half of it doesn't even make any sense. "When the cold north wind blows, who is there to defiantly seal the dike with his majestic girth?! RAIDEN!" The man just keeps going.

COMBATSYS: Raiden gains composure.

Cody             1/---====/=======|===----\-------\0           Raiden

Oh, thank God.

As Raiden talks and talks and talks, Cody hauls himself to his feet, brushing dust and Raiden blood off of his bare chest. The blood doesn't so much 'brush off' as 'smear around.' Frowning, Cody pulls his now-bloodied hand away from his chest and looks around the small noodle joint as if searching for something. After a moment, he finds it; holding his hand away from the rest of his body, Cody walks calmly out of the main area and into a tiny hallway which houses the entrance to the bathroom.

A door opens. A door closes. There is the sound of water running.

The sound stops. A door opens. A door closes.

Cody emerges back into the main area of the noodle joint, wiping his now-wet hands on his pants. He turns his attention back to Raiden, who is... still talking. The blonde's glowing green eyes narrow, and he... turns around and walks back into the hallway.

A door opens. A door closes.

The wall suddenly explodes outwards as a large, metal sink, complete with pipes jutting out from underneath it, crashes into the main dining area, soaring through the air towards Raiden. Half a second later, Cody turns the sink-sized hole into a Cody-sized hole as he bursts through the wall after it, roaring.

COMBATSYS: Raiden Toughs Out Cody's Large Thrown Object!

Cody             1/----===/=======|=====--\-------\0           Raiden

Blah blah blah Raiden is great blah blah cannot be beat blah blah sink!?

Raiden deals with this errant sink the only way he knows how: he smashes it into powder with his face. Not his forehead, not his chest, not his fists. No, it almost completely disintegrates, leaving his entire head coated in a fine layer of porcelain dust. With his now-white beard, his belly like a bowlful of Jell-o brand gelatin snack, and unusual color scheme, Raiden resembles some kind of bizarro Santa Claus.

"NO KITCHEN SINK CAN STAND UP TO RAIDEN! NOT NOW, NOT EVER! RAIDEN IS THE THREE TIME INTERCONTINENTAL SINK WRESTLING CHAMPION OF THE WORLD! UNDEFEATED!" Unlike before, Raiden is not still while talking. Instead, he is rapidly approaching Cody, like a polar bear riding a motorcycle. "YOU ARE VERY RESOURCEFUL, BUT RAIDEN WILL STILL TRIUMPH! EVEN BLINDNESS IS NO OBSTACLE TO RAIDEN!" The white film on his eyes might be difficult to see as he runs, especially with the big man's rapid blinking action. "TAKE THIS!!" And then Raiden plows directly through the wall next to Cody, and the wall after that, and the wall after that. There is a line of Raiden-sized holes leading outside.

After a moment, the noodle shop trembles, then gives up the ghost and collapses on Cody.

COMBATSYS: Cody endures Raiden's Huge Random Weapon.
*KNOCKED AWAY*

Cody             2/<<<<<<</<<<<<<<|======-\-------\0           Raiden

Cody bares his chest to the oncoming Raiden, preparing for another collision like before. The Big Bear charges towards him...

... and right past him, bursting through the wall again. Cody maintains his pose for several seconds and then slowly turns to look through the holes after the wrestler, an eyebrow cocked upwards.

Then the building collapses. It doesn't collapse like a normal building, oh no. It collapses like a character from Family Guy; one moment it's perfectly fine, if damaged. Then it trembles slightly. A moment later it's a pile of timber and brick, a cloud of dust rising from it like a mushroom cloud. There are about two frames of animation connecting these two states.

A moment after /that,/ the entire pile of rubble falls through the ground, into the sewer system below, because every major city has a sewer system, and if it doesn't it should.

Cody does not emerge from the hole.

SECONDS LATER

Raiden finds himself in a noodle joint almost identical to the first. The 'almost' is important; unlike the first store, the color scheme is /blue/ instead of /red,/ and unlike the first store, it is the bottom floor of a two-story building. The second story is occupied entirely by a store called The Bowling Ball Store.

They sell bowling balls.

In the sewers underneath the building, Cody stares at a large concrete pillar. There is a note attached to it. The note reads:

'DO NOT BREAK THIS PILLAR.
I AM SERIOUS. DO NOT DO THIS SHIT AGAIN.
I AM FUCKING WARNING YOU.
-Mr. Ford'

Cody stares at the note for several long seconds, taking deep, ragged breaths. Neon green blood flows from a number of cuts on his body, pooling at his feet and trailing behind him all the way back to the pile of rubble that used to be a noodle joint. The blonde looks up at the ceiling, frowns, and then looks back down at the pillar.

After another moment of indecision, Cody headbutts the pillar so hard the entire thing explodes into shards of concrete, which themselves explode into even smaller shards of concrete.

The building Raiden is in collapses.
s everywhere"

COMBATSYS: Raiden endures Cody's Random Weapon!.

Cody             0/-------/=======|=======\===----\1           Raiden

In the new, perfect mint condition noodle shop, Raiden stares about blearily. A sense of deja vu assaults him. It's like this has /just happened./ He stares at a wall. Nothing comes bursting out of it.

Raiden shrugs, since he's in the clear, and heads into the back hallway, since he knows exactly where the bathroom is. Presently, the sound of running water and whistling can be heard.

Then Raiden's bathroom falls down.

Presently, a wave of water, debris, and bowling balls come crashing down into the sewers. Raiden could easily be mistaken for one of the latter, if he were one sixteenth his actual size, and also a septuple amputee. As it is, he rides above them, bruised and beaten and battered, yes, but also /their king/.

He even wears the grand sink crown, proof of his regal heritage. It wobbles loosely on his head as he rides down on a throne of cracked and broken balls. "RAIDEN IS IN CHARGE NOW! RAIDEN IS KING! RAIDEN WILL CRUSH YOU WITH THE FULL MIGHT OF HIS PURE AND BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!"

Awkwardly rotating as he body-surfs this bizarre wave, he crashes directly toward Cody with arms outstretched, to tackle him into the ground. "RAIDEN..." He gropes and smashes again and again, before flinging both himself and Cody upward toward the ceiling. It fails to stop their ascent.

Gripping at Cody's neck with one meaty hand, at the apex of thier ascent, Raiden slips the unfortunate man between his legs and then goes into a divebomb, sending them plummeting into the sewers once more, possible even into the /under-sewer/. Wherever they finally land, it's in a massive explosion of broken cement and filth and bowling ball, sending up a massive cloud of destruction in every direction. Raiden cries out at that exact moment, finishing, "...END!"

COMBATSYS: Raiden successfully hits Cody with Destruction Drop.

Cody             1/---====/=======|-------\-------\0           Raiden

Cody nods calmly to himself as, from above the street, there is a cacophony that indicates the destruction of a building. Certainly, his foe is defeated, and he is the clear victor. Of this, there can be no doubt. Cody turns to leave, dusting off his hands.

He is met by a fat man riding a horrible wave and wearing a sink as a hat. The blonde's eyes widen in surprise, and before he can even react Raiden and the wave slam into him, sweeping him off his feet. The wave carries the two along the sewers even as Raiden slams Cody against the ground over and over and over, his neon green blood seeping into the water around them.

Suddenly, the two launch upwards! They explode into a third noodle joint. This one is, again, almost identical to the first two. Its color scheme, however, is /yellow./ Cody roars in defiance as Raiden maneuvers him between his legs, struggling vainly against the grapple.

The two men collapse back through the floor, missing the hole they made on the way up by mere inches. They plummet into the sewers... and, indeed, crash a tremendous hole through the concrete floor, sending the two falling yet further, into, indeed, the under-sewer of Southtown.

The under-sewer is basically the sewer, except instead of concrete there are stone blocks, and instead of electric lights there are torches. The torches are lit, which doesn't really make any sense, because there hasn't been any maintenance staff working down here for hundreds of years.

Just go with it.

The two strike the stone floor with such force that it blasts a crater into the stone, sending shards flying into the air. Cody's eyes bulge, and neon green blood erupts from his mouth, spraying into the air. Even beyond that, they strike with such force that... they bounce.

As the two men rise back into the air, Cody roars again, this time with such vim and rage behind it that the very walls of the under-sewer shake, and the torches sputter. He digs his hands into Raiden's fat and swings around the man, maneuvering above the Big Bear and planting both feet squarely into the wrestler's back.

The blonde slams his legs downwards and crashes them right into Raiden's back, meaning to drive him all the way down into the impact crater the two just made and sandwich the Aussie in between his feet and the floor.

Regardless of Raiden's fate, Cody plows into the crater feet-first with such force that it explodes downwards, dropping the blonde even further into the bowels of southtown as the floor of the under-sewer gives way. Roaring, Cody drops into...

... the double under-sewer.

COMBATSYS: Cody has reached second wind!

Cody             1/----===/=======|-------\-------\0           Raiden

Cody erupts into the double under-sewer out of the uncut stone ceiling, tumbling end-over-end. He keeps roaring as he falls; the only thing that silences him is when he hits the floor, landing on the edge of a large cliff with a tremendous crack and a splatter of neon green blood. The man goes silent, and lies still for several long seconds, his breathing imperceptible... if, indeed, he's breathing at all.

Suddenly, his back arches, and his fingers dig into the stone beneath them. Furiously, he pounds his fists against the floor, shattering the rock into pebbles, and the pebbles into rubble. Slowly, the drug-addled blonde claws himself to his feet, a crazed look on his face. He swings his eyes around the dimly lit, unworked stone cavern that is this section of the double under-sewer; it barely qualifies as a sewer, in fact. It doesn't even really smell bad.

He doesn't care about the locale, however. He cares only for the whereabouts of his foe... the whereabouts of the Big Bear.

COMBATSYS: Raiden auto-guards Cody's Guilty Stamp!

[                        \\\\\\  < >  //////////////                ]
Cody             1/---====/=======|-------\-------\0           Raiden

As the two fighters gently float through the air after that devestating, thunderous impact, Raiden has a peaceful moment to reflect. He tries to use it to think of something important. Instead he wonders if there's a green noodle shop. If there is, do they have green noodles? Raiden cannot say. It feels very zen, even though Raiden isn't entirely sure what zen even is. It totally is, though.

Temporarily empowered with this strange calm and peace of mind, Raiden calmly and careful maneuvers so that Cody's feet impact not his back, but his hat. But while Raiden escapes from harm thanks to his miraculous crown, there's still the matter of the double under-sewer.

Raiden lands on his feet, the hard earth splintering and cracking around him as he crunches into it. The aussie's eyes widen as he takes in his surroundings. "Crikey..." So shocked is he that he slips back into his native accent. "It DOES exist!"

Not even the splendor of the double under-sewer can stop Raiden for long, however. Especially since Cody has yet to be stopped. "This is perfect! The perfect place for Raiden to prove his superiority over you once and for all! Come, mysterious friend! Finish this with Raiden once and for all!"

Charging forward at the frenetic Mr. Travers, Raiden reaches out with a single hand. It is his /choking/ hand. As he tries to lift Cody like a doll, there is an audible crack, and Raiden's sinkhat splits neatly in half. "Not as a king and a you, but as TWO MEN! YES!"

COMBATSYS: Cody endures Raiden's Rapid Grapple.

Cody             1/--=====/=======|-------\-------\0           Raiden

Ah, there he is.

Raiden's sausage-fingers wrap around the battered Cody's neck, and the blonde's feet are hoisted off the floor. Cody bares his teeth and snarls, green blood streaming from the corners of his mouth. He raises his hands and grabs at Raiden's wrist, hands tightening. Although still strong for a normal man, his reserves of strength are failing him, and for a fighter of his caliber his grip is weak and feeble.

Cody's feet kick feebly at the stone inches beneath them, straining to find the floor again. His face pales as Raiden's grip denies him the luxury of things like 'breathing,' and his grip weakens even further. Desperate to save itself, the man's body floods yet more adrenaline into a system already saturated in it.

Suddenly, Cody starts to laugh.

The blonde's grip abruptly strengthens, his fingers digging into Raiden's flesh like vice grips, or the claws of a robotic super crab. Raiden's own robotic lobster-like grip on Cody's neck weakens... not through any act of the blonde's, but because his neck actually gets thicker, which is pretty fucking weird to watch and again doesn't really make any sense.

"Tonight," Cody informs Raiden, shifting his grip on the Big Bear's wrist. "It glows for you."

Then he squeezes as hard as he can. He doesn't intend to stop until Raiden's wrist is broken. Or at least a little sore. You know, indian burn, that sort of deal.

COMBATSYS: Raiden interrupts Strong Throw from Cody with Bearhug.

Cody             1/-----==/=======|=======\-------\0           Raiden

"Ha ha ha!" Raiden responds to Cody's laughter with laughter of his own. Even through the mildly disturbing spectacle of the smaller man's throat expanding as though someone were pumping foam directly into the larynx, the wrestler keeps his good humor.

"Is that a joke? I do not understand what that even means, but I do not care either!" Cody's hand tightens on Raiden's wrist, biting in and displacing muscle to either side. It looks horrible. "Raiden only cares about this fight! It is magnificent! A thing of wonder!"

Lightning crashes from out of nowhere as the two struggle, silhouetted against the flash. The mysteries of the double under-sewer run deep. And then...

Raiden embraces Cody. Pulling him close, the aussie buries Travers in chest, holding him tight with as much force as he can muster. "It is a joy, to fight a man such as you! Raiden is...is just so happy!" A tear of happiness falls across Raiden's cheek, before it is quickly absorbed into his beard.

And then Raiden releases Cody and turns, heedless of the aftereffects of his most recent grapple. He may still be weeping. "Before we part as friends, best friends and bitter rivals for all time, tell me. Tell me your name!"

"Gghrkr..." Cody gurgles, his ribs cracking beneath Raiden's embrace. His grip on the Big Bear's wrist falters and then fails, the arm dropping back to his side.

Raiden finally releases him, and Cody drops heavily to the ground, collapsing to his knees. He pitches forwards onto all fours and sits there as Raiden asks his name, palms pressed against the stone, blood pouring from his body onto the ground beneath him. You'd think he'd be out of blood by now, judging by how much he's lost.

"Name..." the blonde repeats, sounding confused. "... name..." Beneath the blood smeared across it, Cody's brow furrows. "... don't... ... remember..." That fact worries him. And when a Glow-crazy Cody Travers gets worried, he gets /angry./

Roaring, Cody hauls himself to his feet, springing forwards towards Raiden's back in the same motion. Halfway through his leap, shit happens!

Sickly green light flashes at Cody's feet; everything in the double under-sewer shifts slightly out of focus save for the blonde man; there are action lines all over the place, I mean like whoa. The moment lasts an imperceptibly small amount of time, but it seems to stretch for almost a full second.

Suddenly everything snaps back into motion. Cody's right leg cracks outwards at Raiden's side, moving ridiculously fast, so fast that it trails hazy, translucent green afterimages. He follows the kick immediately with a second, and then a third, and then one from his left leg just for good measure, and then another from the right, and then-

You get the idea. Cody unleashes a series of kicks of all makes and models at the Big Bear's back. Eventually, he's kicking so hard that the force of the blows actually lifts him into the air; chances are good that unless the wrestler gets out of dodge, he'll rise into the air with him.

The final blow is a vicious dropkick straight into Raiden's midsection. It is delivered with such force that it sends both combatants - or at least Cody, regardless of Raiden's fate - flying backwards. This is impressive until you realize that somewhere in there, Cody's back got turned to the edge of the cliff the two fight upon, and he launches right out over the edge.

At the last second, Cody's hand snaps out and grabs ahold of the very edge of the cliff, fingers digging into the stone like some kind of Mufasa.

COMBATSYS: Cody can no longer fight.

Raiden           0/-------/=======|

For several long moments Cody clings to the side of the cliff, his fate uncertain. Will he pull himself up? Will he fall? Or will he be left to the mercy of the Big Bear?

Apparently the latter. A veritable waterfall of green blood pours from Cody as he hangs from the side of the cliff, and several times he tries to swing his arm up and dig it, too, into the edge above him. On his third try, it seems like he might just have it...

... when, suddenly, his muscles begin to shrink. Over the course of four seconds, the green blood pouring from his body is replaced by regular old red blood, and a decidedly non Glow-berserk Cody Travers is left clinging desperately to the side of a cliff in the double under-sewer of Southtown.

To his credit, he does not call for help.

COMBATSYS: Raiden endures Cody's Dead End Irony.

Raiden does not turn. Though Cody's assault is potent, each kick causing the wrestler's entire upper body to sway slightly from the impact, Raiden is more or less immovable. Even as Cody rises and Raiden doesn't, being six and a half feet tall makes it so that he takes each and every kick.

Until, of course, the last dropkick comes. Raiden turns, instinctively sensing the big hit, and takes it straight on the stomach. The sheer force sends him sliding backward across the rock a good six feet before he comes to a halt, breathing hard.

"...I see." Raiden's face seems troubled. He walks forward to Cody, hanging precariously, and looks down at the now weakened man. A big frown is the first instance of 'not uproariously happy' that has crossed the aussie's face so far. He edges closer, his foot right next to Cody's hand. It would be simplicity itself to break its tenuous grip, to send Cody falling into the depths of the poison double under-sewers.

Instead, Raiden bends down and grasps Cody's wrist, engulfing it in his massive man-hands. "Do not worry! I will see to it that we meet again, someday! I look forward to it, a fight to end all fights, even greater than this! Perhaps you will even manage to overcome me, although I doubt it!" Raiden laughs again, and then tosses Cody up, reversing his grip on the wrist. With a mighty swing, he /flings/ Travers up toward the hole that they both came in from, with enough force to send him all the way back up to the surface.

"Remember, mysterious man! Raiden will return, and when he does, he will expect you to not have amnesia! FAREWELL!" And with that, Raiden begins to trudge toward a nearby tunnel, beginning a grand adventure to return to the surface.
