SNF 2008.12 - One Horse! Yamazaki vs Vanessa/Daniel, SA: Eclipse

Description: Daniel is almost as incomprehensible as Yamazaki in tonight's special Christmas Saturday Night Fight. But it still turns out to be one hell of a party. You know what they say. Every time a zamboni runs over someone, an angel gets its wings. It's so beautiful.. (Winners: Vanessa/Daniel)

Geese is a bastard.

Yamazaki tries to take another wobbly step.

Looking a lot like a baby deer taking its first steps, Yamazaki slides slowly back and forth on a pair of ice skates. You know how long it's been since he's last ice skated? It reminds him of that ice brat they had on the train. Yeah, that kid, Kula. He's gonna make her into a snowcone one of these days, so you could probably count this as training. Kind've. He takes a few more wobbly steps.

Ugh.

He's gonna make the organizer into a quiche for this shit.

What? Oh, don't get him wrong. Though bathed in the glow of holiday magic and cheer, and taking wobbling baby steps into the center of the ice in his brand new Iceblaster 4ks, bodies are still being strewn about at an alarming clip. Yamazaki has already knocked out, clotheslined, punched or just plain robbed about 7 or so little kids learning how to skate, 3 teenage girls just having fun, a rowdy prankster boy, two lovely couples, and a guy practicing for some ballet or some shit.

Or that was the impression he got.

Bastard was wearing too many sequins.

Daniel Jack usually wore his aikido uniform to these events. The Saturday Night Fights were just the thing to show off the Way of Todoh, and the traditional wear was often the best. However, he skipped over the light breezy clothing for something thicker. Namely, a nice dry trenchcoat, and a nice thick zoot suit. The detective eased his way on the rink, stepping lightly on the ice with his skates. Hands dug deep in his pockets, he cased the man who went by the name of Yamazaki.

Damn. Snazzy dresser, crazy hair style, and nasty temper. He was either a high-profile gangster... or some snarky trust-fund brat. Gliding forward, Daniel Jack drifted towards the rampaging maniac, people rushing by him in a panicked fashion. The detective might have more sympathy for them... if they cleared out earlier. A red headed boy, face bruised, looked up to the stone-faced man drifting towards the cause of the chaos. Daniel stopped with a scratch. Holding still for a moment, he shakes his head back towards the now crowded exit.

"Beat it, kid. Fight's getting down, real sharp."

The kid scatters, leaving Daniel to stare at the yellow haired psychopath struggling to stand up. There are many things the detective could have said to the stranger. The first impression was very important. But to Daniel, there was only one thing he cared about right now. Fighting. As such, he slowly seethes out to Yamazaki, speaking cold and crisp over the ice.

"You done warming up, scuzzy?"

On the side of the ice rink, there is a large steel gate, shut tight.

Fog rolls dramatically out of the gaps between the steel strips, as well as from beneath the gate itself.

There are, on either side of the gate, a pair of lights. Above one is printed 'YAMAZAKI', and above the other is printed 'VANESSA + DANIEL'

Finally, emblazoned on the gate itself is a hastily-enameled sign of a solar eclipse.

Vanessa's normal fightin' outfit is a little too...minimal, for an ice skating match. Her usual sleeveless halter shirt is gone today, replaced with a suitably warm sweater, although she is wearing her habitual tie under it, at least. She doesn't seem to be having a lot of trouble with the icy terrain, at least; Vanessa is good at pretty much everything physical, and it looks like that includes skating. The redhead is gliding easily around the rink, helping people up and shooing them away as best she is able, because apparently Yamazaki is just a jerk.

She finally scoots along up near Daniel, quipping, "Hey there, 'honey'," and then, with somewhat less cheer to her voice, adding, "You weren't going to beat up this thug all by yourself, were ya?"

Warming up?

"Eh?" he asks, more than a little comically.

He looks behind him, at the scattered bodies. Yamazaki doesn't wear anything purposefully warm, just the same expensive cuts and leathers that mark his everyday casual wear. Even given the bundled coats, jackets and sweaters of everyone gathered here, Yamazaki's sleeves are still rolled up to the elbows.

See, there's a kind of burn...

That no matter how cold it gets, you can't get rid of.

Yamazaki looks back, noting the pair of lights associated with his name just beyond, and the arrival of the other princess to get the party started. "Warmin' up..." he concludes, his voice dropping to a deep growling bass that's far too meaningful to be innocent, accompanied with his snake-like glance over the boxer. He grins fangishly at Daniel, one hand raising, sheathed in a leather fighting glove, stretching out so wide and tense that the leather can be heard squealing.

"...Hell no. Isn't even /half/ of it."

The ice cracks under the force of his forward leg.

"Let's party."

His forward hand sinks into the ice until his fingertips numb and his nails bleed.

Yamazaki doesn't so much as gracefully skate over there as gracefully detonate in Daniel's direction, trying to tear the cute little guy (he's shorter than Vanessa, wtf.) right out of the pairing. Presumably, he intends to do something grievious.

Probably involving Daniel's innards.

Daniel Jack wasn't really that bothered by Yamazaki at the moment. He was focused on him, sure. But he just didn't seem upset by the psycho's antics. As the fog rolls in, he just keeps drifting at a steady pace, detached from the danger before him. He didn't even notice the whole dramatic foreboding gate. The only thing that breaks from his intense gauging... was a pair of suspenders.

Vanessa's words shake Daniel Jack's attention right from hairy and scary there right on to her. The private investigator looks over his partner, face still locked in a grimace. Smoothly, he burned out a response. "Of course not, Ma'am, I find the act of sharing to be real solid, you dig? Real solid." The suddenly crack in the ice does well to break his composure, sending him down on one knee. He wasn't a great skater, only a decent one. The long winters of Nebraska left a lot of free time between work, and the detective found it a great way to pass the time, meet gorgeous women, and sometimes even trouble.

Old habits died hard, it seemed.

As the detective staggered back up to his feet, Yamazaki was already out for the kill. Well, when life hands you lemons, you make lemonade. At the same time, life could be a bitch. But Daniel Jack was more of the type to slaps life right in the face, and tell her to get right back in the kitchen, and get him a beer, a sandwich, and a back massage. When she complained, well, I guess it was time to jack it up a notch. So when Daniel gets on his feet, he begins to charge right at Yamazaki, picking up speed. As he closes it, he suddenly jams out at the oncoming maniac with an elbow, followed by a palm strike, followed by a knee jab, followed by a wild kick that throws the detective right off balance, causing him to hit the ground spinning.

Classy.

COMBATSYS: Yamazaki endures Daniel's Zoot Suit Riot.

Yamazaki wasn't really the type to bother with a match bell or anything cool like the little fog-curling badassness on the other side of the field. In truth, it was hard for someone like him to hold back and exchange the few words he did when Daniel first got within arm's length from the mercenary. That being the key word. Mercenary, that is.

Exploding into an attempt to tear Daniel in half while skating on ice sort of leaves little to defense as Daniel flies after him, the massive Orochi-blooded man slowly gliding to a stop on the ice. He looks up just in time for a show.

And to Daniel's own merit, the string of blows seems to go swimmingly. Yamazaki is hit in the side with an elbow, slapped, jabbed and then finally kicked in the chin solidly, the man grunting in varely constrained anger as he falls backwards, balancing awkwardly on a skate, his skull hovering only feet above the ice in a position that's gotta be bad for his back--

--and then he whips forward with full force, planting his fist, a regular marble pillar, up to his wrist in the ice.

Well, for given values of 'the ice' being replaced by 'Daniel' if the detective doesn't recover fast enough from his impromptu flop. Oh, he doesn't need to be a particularly great skater. He's pretty sure his opponents won't notice.

What with the gaping holes he's about to put in them and all.

Eclipse, seated in his mysterious conveyance and bundled up heavily with a jacket he probably got from a dumpster, shifts in his seat and rubs his hands together, stifling a yawn.

He taps at the watch on his wrist a few times before the neon green manages to barely outline his face, squinting at the time.

He wishes he had brought a drink or a sandwich or something.

The initial exchange of blows is fast enough that even Vanessa, a speedy fighter herself, is a little surprised when, one second she's exchanging pre-fight sass with her partner, and the next instant her partner is pummeling Yamazaki with a flurry of blows, and then Yamazaki is coming down on Daniel like a bus from space, and Vanessa has to act fast!!

So she does; speed is her specialty, and even on ice she's quick on her feet. Skates? Blades? The Boxing Queen mutters, "Solid, huh?" with a slowly sinking wry smile, before swinging in - her whole body moving with the characteristic speed that the SNF camera crews are still having trouble keeping up with even after all these weeks, the redhead in the red sweater shooting across the ice in one push, two pushes, and then Yamazaki may discover that there is a fist in his ear!

COMBATSYS: Yamazaki successfully hits Daniel with Fancy Punch.

The detective lands flat on his back, grunting lightly. That wasn't too bad. He managed to get the drop on what's his name, and that was fine. Seeing the fist winding back, Daniel Jack lazily brings his arms up, ready to catch the blow and shove it aside. Then the boxer calls him out under her breath. With a cock-sure sizzle, he snaps over the oncoming punch. "Yeah, real so-"

Daniel Jack is cut off by his upper torso being driven deep underneath the surface of the ice. A small splash of blood spreads from around the crater. The detective sort of... lies there. Raising his hand up above the surface, he reaches around, finding the edge of the pillar. Needless to say, he just had a brand new experience. He had never known that a single man could hit with the force of a muzzle of grape shot. Judging by that funny feeling in his spine, that was some real solid work this Yamazaki fellow had.

Shoving himself upright, he seemed to be patting around his body with his free arm. He grips something... slick with his body fluid. Delicately slipping out the offending item, he draws free a small, bullpup revolver. The man blinks for a moment, and looks up at Yamazaki. "Excuse me. Hey. Scuzzy. What the hell did you do to my gun." He growled coldly, looking at the blond brute with terse frustration. "Tell you what. Clean it. Danke, you are digging me?"

With that, he squeezes the trigger, cleaning the firearm and it's contents right for the psycho's face. With a very important note. See, Daniel Jack has figured out certain fighters react differently with firearms. When ganging up on one person, ammo needed to be heavier. As such, Daniel chose the type of bullets that would make a maniac like Yamazaki quiver in his skates.

Hardened rubber bullets.

Yamazaki is socked.. /in the ear/.

The tyrant lizard goes stumbling, mid-Daniel flattening. Luckily for Daniel, this removes the idea of Yamazaki getting on top of him and showing him what his sadomazo is made out of. That allows Daniel to stand--Yamazaki's somewhat distracted by the ringing in his ears and the fact that there doesn't seem to be enough terror today. Crushing someone only a bit? Shit, that wasn't even enough to kill Daniel. But the broad--well. Socking him that hard, that fast..

Fuck, wasn't there a fourth guy for this match?

Sliding a hand in his pocket, Yamazaki puts two fingers to his lips and whistles, loud and shrill. "HEY! SPACEMAN! GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE AND DO SOMETHIN BEFORE I COME IN THERE AND TEAR YOUR LIPS OFF!"

He doesn't specify any particular target. He's just a little curious as to who--

Then Yamazaki gets a cap busted in his face.

How long has it been since /that's/ happened? Daniel's aim is good. The first two land right dead center in his face, catching him off guard and knocking him backwards, the massive man stumbling. The other shots will probably slug him in varying portions of his anatomy--but when Yamazaki stands... a bullseye-mark clear dead center in his forehead, drawing blood.

He's chewing on the other bullet.

He swallows.

And begins to skate ominously towards Daniel.

"C'mere, y'little twerp..got a pocketful of sunshine for your ass."

Daniel has bullets.

Yamazaki has a switchblade.

"YAAAAAAAAAAHAhahahahahahah!!! 8D"

The ensuing cut frenzy causes a lot of icecubes to be made, presumably from Yamazaki's lashings tearing up the ice rink around Daniel quite handily, a bomb of knives going off as Yamazaki gains intense levels of hair from the action. If Daniel's not damned fast, he's gonna cut Daniel's gun to pieces. "I'll CLEAN IT ALRIGHT--" And Daniel himself, too!

Ah, isn't a switchblade supposed to be a close range weapon!?

With Yamazaki's call, one of the lights dramatically brightens and burns out, and the gate cranks up with a horrible groan. Eclipse, as per the instructions, reaches for the key tucked in the ignition, giving it a twist. The engine grumbles to life.

Floodlights cut through the fog as Eclipse's ride rumbles out - a large, souped-up zamboni, dressed up to look like some kind of sleigh-tank, animatronic reindeer on the sides that approximate the movement of the treads. Eclipse himself is clearly visible on top, looking hunched in his dingy clothes, a bright red Santa cap on his unkempt hair looking completely out of place on the greys and dark browns. The NESTS clone (not that that is readily apparent) looks intent and bewildered at the same time, spinning the wheel. Groaning, the machine begins to orient on Daniel.

But Eclipse has /no idea what he's doing./ He doesn't even have a driver's license! He's never even RIDDEN A BIKE, not even in his fake NESTS memories. He accelates too fast while turning, and promptly spins his zamboni out. "Hnf--!" He careens right across the rink like a curling puck, slamming into one wall and shaking fans from their seats, rebounding off and trying to orient himself forward, finding himself bearing horribly down on Yamazaki. Eclipse's mouth pulls into a thin line as he pulls on a lever that should do something, the emergency brake scraping on the ice, the machine leaving deep furrows until something catches a hard spot.

The zamboni promptly tips over, bouncing over Yamazaki to go on an interception course toward Vanessa, before miraculously landing upright once more. Eclipse, dizzied and mystified, attempts to drive back to his port afterward. He kinda wants to vomit.

COMBATSYS: Vanessa blocks Eclipse's Medium Crazy Zamboni.

The Zamboni From The North Pole appears while Yamazaki busily continues steamrolling Daniel. This is...uhm, bad. Bad? Yes, bad's a word for it. Vanessa needs to keep the pressure on Yamazaki before he just crushes the life out of Daniel, but she can't just not defend herself against the Zamboni!

And then it tips, flies over Yamazaki and comes screaming at her. Ooookay that's bad. She swings her arms up to catch some of the weight there, and then snaps forward in a surprise blurring motion, ducking low and /under/ the machine, rising back up to her full posture only once she's past it, and at the same time spinning up on one skate (!?) and spinning around to slam one skated boot into Yamazaki's back!

...Apparently she can figure skate.

Daniel Jack fires off the five rounds right into the face of the psychopathic mercenary with... some degree of response. The blood was a good sign, to tell the truth. Bison was an example of that failing badly. However, a lot was happening around him. A giant machine manned by some hobo was launching over the man. Wait, was that a Zamboni? VERY classy. Vanessa gets winged, but hot damn did she have some moves, moving in on blondie here. And Yamazaki was-

HOW THE HELL WAS HE DOING THAT? The ice-cube machine was unleashing moves and speed that were simply beyond the young fighter's comprehension. That was a knife, right? He hoped it wasn't hands. The young fighter thought this was a Billy affair... and he had an inkling of what to do. Holding the gun out, he watched as the mad man was going for the gun. Yes, he was doing EXACTLY what he was supposed to do. Watching the erratic swipes, he narrowed his eyes. This needed reflexes that Daniel didn't have, but he had to try it. As the blade shot to rend the detective asunder, he reached out and-

Daniel snatches the wrist of Yamazaki.

The rest was all Kasumi Todoh. There was a shift in the direction of force. Yeah, Yamazaki had a LOT of directions he was giving. But to someone as simple as Daniel, he could only feel one. Not even bothering to pinch the knife out of his hand, he jerked the man over him. Letting Yamazaki land face first in the ice, he jerks himself out of the crater.

The source of the blood seems very apparent, as his coat turns a scarlet shade of red. Standing on the inside of his skates, he dusted himself off, pocketing the gun discreetly in his coat. "Thanks for the pick up, Beaker." The detective grimly spit, fishing out a single quarter. Tossing it over by Yamazaki, he turns his back on the yellow-haired man. "Keep the change, ya filthy animal."

"HEY! SCUZZY!" Daniel Jack waved at Eclipse and his death car. "Clean up on aisle five, are you digging it, my hominess of gee?" Cracking his back slightly, he began to case the damage Yam-Yam did to him. At least, until he checks over at Vanessa. "So. Boxer, huh?" He stated coldly.

COMBATSYS: Yamazaki endures Vanessa's Lovely Kick.

Yamazaki is in the middle of a rampage and, as such, can't really be expected to pay attentino to little details like the santa hat on Eclipse's head. However, the razorblade of an airborne ice resurfacer shaving a good half inch or so from the top of his fangishly raised hair.... that can get his attention.

"WHAT!"

That bastard gets to drive a tank and he's out here on damn ice skates against these muffins?! It's enough to make Yamazaki cry. Or spit. And he does in fact spit, like two or three times at least. A few times even in Daniel's direction. It gets his goat, riles his sheep, scares his pigeons. He points in dismay and rages at the machine even as Vanessa collides into and sneaks around it.

"THAT'S NOT FUCKING FAIR!"

It does, in fact, hold his attention for so long, that he has forgotten he's supposed to be making sausage from Daniel's body right about now, which allows the detective an unprecidented chance to murder him. Being put to the ground has never stopped Yamazaki, and neither did a knife in the back. At least, that's what it feels like when Vanessa lands /in his back/ with ice skates. Boxing up his stance almost immediately against the graceful weight of the woman, Yamazaki almost avoids being knocked over. Almost. And then Daniel catches his outstretched knife-arm, pulling his massive weight over him and knocking him face-first into the ice.

Yamazaki has to think about that, a moment, somewhat... he is mildly displeased with the fact that Daniel did not die violently. And he seems to be having some minor trouble keeping the blood vessels in his eyes from popping.

"Y..yeah.. That's alright. No, it's fine."

You see, Yamazaki has been inspired.

He has realized, due in no small part to Vanessa's contribution to the long angling slice down his back, that his feet... have blades on them.

He ruptures off the ice and one can swear by their mother that they could hear the muted explosion that put the huge mercenary from a prone position to an aerial position. He goes high. And basically tries to knock Daniel to the ground by landing on him with all 200+ lbs of his frame, skates first.

He'll land on Daniel.

... And then he will dance in him.

"Sleigh bells ring, are you listenin?"

Twitch. Right step twist.

"In the lane, snow is glistening."

Grin. Left side lean.

"A BEauTIFuL Sight. WE'RE _HAPPY_ tonight."

STOMP STOMP STOMP STOMP STOMP

"DANCING IN THIS MOTHERFUCKER'S WONDERLAND!!!"

While Daniel is being danced on, his Striker has no idea what he's trying to say. He's still trying to figure out how to drive, period, and is a quick enough learner to have discovered how to go in reverse.

Oh, wait, he's panicking, he didn't want to go in reverse at all! Eclipse mashes at the buttons of the zamboni sleigh, mumbling to himself as he does so, inadvertantly making himself look even more like a hobo. He pulls up short just before plowing into /everyone/, and starts to turn agonizingly slowly toward his port once more. He attempts to accelerate, but instead ends up spitting out a jet of nasty fluid that's been sitting in the zamboni's tank since it's last operation.

Five years ago. This is a refurbished, old model. One of the VANESSA + DANIEL lights burn out. Well, /technically/ it's a Striker action.

This is a particularly vicious fight, Vanessa discovers, as she actually finds that Yamazaki is a fine dancer when the Orochi-powered thug begins ripping Daniel to pieces. She looks over to the Striker, about to call in her /own/ attack on her stupendously built opponent, when Eclipse runs in and does...that. Well that's an action, she decides, and probably more than she should expect from someone who clearly has no idea what they're doing with a machine that frankly probably couldn't even be operated properly by a professional. She tips a thumbs-up at Eclipse, and then has to figure out what she's going to do to Yamazaki to make him stop killing Daniel.

She rolls her neck, adjusts the fit of her gloves, and then shoots forward, pushing off the ice with graceful motions of one leg, and then another, and then while Yamazaki is in the middle of the final line, she drives one fist into his chest with all of her strength - and then another, and then another, hammering him again and again and again, shouting, "BODY BODY BODY BODY" as she accumulates body blows! Then, before she ends up standing on Daniel's mutilated corpse, she finishes it off by hooking a punch up at Yamazaki's chin and shouting, "UPPER!!"

Daniel Jack was just standing there, preparing a smoke. Yeah, he could have gone into a full-out attack with Yamazaki. But he found that when you are up against a totally superior opponent, your best option was to just be cool. Daniel actually didn't believe he had THAT much of a chance of surviving. When the psycho jumps his back, Daniel at first felt like he could tough it out. That plan didn't really WORK when he felt his vision fading out sharply. And when he suddenly stops moving. And when his hat falls off.

As Yamazaki's dance dies down, the detective just sort of lies there, oozing blood in his front AND his back. The fresh gashes were now having a nice blend of chemicals filling them, compounding the complications. The combination of fluids, blood, and suit just sort of sizzles there. Vanessa is nice enough to avoid his corpse.

Except he's not quite dead yet.

"Sweet steps, Beaker, but not much of an aria, you dig?" Daniel Jack drags himself from the dance. Still flowing, the man rises up from the ice, posture erect, if barely. Looking at his suit, he snarled. "My suit." Danny Boy began, gingerly removing it with a strong toss. Underneath the level of wound soak was even more enhanced, but Daniel didn't seem to care. Also well noticeable was the number of concealed firearms on his body. A holster on his front, a few clips around his front. Those who care to notice may catch the submachine gun strapped to his back, now with fresh dent from the skates that tromped on him. Man, no wonder those hits hurt so bad, huh? Unlike Vanessa, he lacked suspenders, which was something he regretted right now. Stuck with more open orifices than Paris Hilton at the Lakers's locker room, he decided to...

Jack it up a notch.

Easing into the defensive stance of aikido, he merely glared at Yamazaki. Then, he realized he was on ice. Giving up he defensive stance, he began to just skate around in circles, staring at Yamazaki. "Come on, Beaker, I know you can wind off your jerk around, so bring it real solid, you lick it right, right?" Shaking his head, he just glared at Yamazaki, eyes slowly burning with an inner light. "Charlie, right, real Charlie."

Glowering fiercely, Yamazaki looks up, a hand in pocket, breathing out quietly. He chuckles, something on the shy edge of darkness leeching into his mirth until it cants up into a distended giggle, the mercenary choking back a belly laugh. "Not yet..." Yeah, there's still work to do.

He takes a step off Daniel, at this point firmly believing him at least a flavor of dead, he scuffs random bits of detective off the blades of his skates, gliding forward slowly with the motion. Right now, Yamazaki looks pretty dinged up, with his leathers sliced into, his face covered in welts, and now--well, now he's being sprayed on.

That water is pure poison, the heated pressure blast knocks him forward just a touch, sizzling off his body almost as soon as it lands. He raises an arm to fend against it--and truthfully, seems not even slightly the worse for it. For someone who drinks acid for fun, this is like a shower for him. The problem is, now he smells foul in the worst ways.

It just makes him worse.

Vanessa rushes him, pounding his body mercilessly with blow after blow, her fist pounding on him like a kettle drum, reverbating sounds drumming his kidneys, his lungs, his stomach.

BODY grin BODY mouth BODY fangs BODY froth

Her last punishing uppercut slams into his jaw, spreading blood red spittle across the ice, spittle that sizzles almost hotter than the boiling water that was just sprayed on him. His head cranes back with the motion.

But Yamazaki hasn't even moved an inch.

He doesn't even take his hand out his pocket.

Looks like the twerp is still up, too. At this point, Yamazaki barely notices him, sucking his teeth loudly in derision. He clearly hasn't been killing these muffins hard enough.

"...looks like it's gonna be a long night..."

His free hand crosses unreal lengths of space, seeming to curve around all manner of potential guard in ways that a limb just simply shouldn't. But he's not going to be satisfied with just strangulation today. His meaty claw pistonning open with the creak of leather and the snap of flesh, he's going to snatch her face by the tongue and lower jaw. Have you ever had someone grab you like that? It's like being gagged. At this point, if his hand gets anywhere near her face, it won't matter how hard she bites down, Yamazaki will start to crush her tongue, digging his bloodied hands deep into her tastebuds, trying his level best to make her taste his sickly sweet acidic chemical blood taste for months after the fact. His thumb exerts crushing, gouging force, his fingers digging into flesh towards their mates, towards eachother like a vice.

He grins. By now, his hand will start to crush the finer muscles and part of her throat, trying to strangle Vanessa where she stands, to make her choke on his fist. Think this is still a game?

"Yeah..." he'll murmur, a deadly edge to his voice. "I can lick it."

He slides a hand out of his pocket.

And that free fist goes off like a cannon into Vanessa's midsection, biceps forged of iron cables straining to unload everything he has right there directly into whatever she had for lunch that day, before he just flings the boxing queen bodily head over heels towards Eclipse's little contraption conveyance.

He doesn't issue an order per-se, not to Eclipse.

But the mercenary shrieks with laughter, "YEAH, -BODY-!!!"

Before exploding off of his skates, whipping around and leading around with that same fist like a man-made tornado, his entire jacket sleeve being torn to shreds instantly with the speed of his punch, purple energy emitting a metallic shrieking sound as the whirling mass descends on Vanessa while she's still in mid-air, that grinding noise trailing furrows in the ice as his fist chews through the air towards the prone woman. God willing, he's going to tear her in half, ground her, and then kick her, full force, _underneath the machine_.

Yamazaki's second light burns out.

Eclipse is still trying to park. He was told to come out, attack with the zamboni, and park, but at this rate, he'll probably use up all his attacks before even getting there. The Santa hat is all askew, and he's desperately switching a lever back and forth, trying to figure out what it does. Beneath the festive machine, the resurfacing blades turn on and off.

It is pure luck that means for Vanessa that the blades were not running when she was thrown over it, and suffers nothing more than a horrible bumping and crashing about, jostling Eclipse in his seat. When his aimless donuting finally comes off of her immediate position, Eclipse's typical hard expression is replaced by almost childlike shame, rubbing the back of his head. "S...sorry! I don't think I was supposed to do that!"

Eclipse turns the wheel, and almost tips the machine over again as it ambles away from the immediate fight.

COMBATSYS: Vanessa auto-guards Eclipse's Clean Smooth Ride!

Vanessa's cheerful mood hasn't really abated much - the woman's always been vivacious and almost weirdly chipper for a 30-something widow with a secret vengeance oath on an entire superpowered criminal organization whose every pimple is apparently a thousand times stronger than Vanessa is.

Yamazaki attempts to choke that life out of her now, using his demonic strength to cut her off and then drives his other hand into her lips and, with impossible force, nearly rips her tongue off. The pain would destroy lesser fighters right there. Vanessa acquits herself well by not screaming or flailing; her eyes water from the agony, but it takes far more than mortal control to resist such a thing as that. She tries to fight back, one punch surging toward Yamazaki's solar plexus, but Yamazaki beats her to it, hammering her in the gut, and not even waiting for her to vomit before he hammer throws her over to Eclipse to run over and, presumably, kill.

The only sign that something is amiss is that nothing ever hits the zamboni.

*CLICK*

Daniel Jack was watching Yamazaki's frenzy with cold detachment, and methodical technique. Carefully pulling a cigarette out from his pant's pocket, he reaches in the shirt pocket for a match to balance it. He stares at the match for a moment, then tosses it aside. Hell, he wasn't going to smoke after that much leftover fluid on him. Instead, he stuck the unlit cigarette in his mouth, and yanked a red-tabbed clip from one of the straps of his front.

Reaching behind him, he snaps out the submachine gun. It is a M-3 Grease Gun, or at least a chinese copy. The previous damage from the tromp dance was visible, but not crippling to the performance of the firearm. Or at least, Daniel HOPED. Jamming the clip into the weapon, he looks at Yamazaki, locking the muzzle of the weapon on the torso of the maniac. Keeping it firmly braced at his waist, he waited until Vanessa got sucked under the vehicle. And from there, he belted out his short speech.

"Alright. Jalopy pilot, you jacking real merc? Got some last orders, you dig it." Circling the man, he just saluted at Yamazaki. He speaks as clearly as he can with a stick dangling from his maw. "Hit Yamazaki." Looking back over to the yellow-haired mad rage foamer, the detective suddenly seems to get a strange light overwhelm his eyes. Picking up speed, he began to charge Yamazaki as he simply released an intense hiss. "And you scuzzy. I got an order real straight to you." Squeezing the trigger, he lets loose a torrential hail of bullets right for the mad-man, and with it all, a line to starting the jack into overdrive.

"Hit the floor, MUTHAF*CKER."

The zamboni is abruptly rattled by what appears to be a giant, thrown light-up candy cane.

"YO, KID!" comes an angry, female roar from...from somewhere, where!? "MAKE SURE YOU HIT HIM GOOD AND HARD!"

COMBATSYS: Vanessa successfully hits Eclipse with Large Elegant Object.

The candy cane strikes one of the constantly prancing hooves of the reindeer, causing it to be stuck for a moment until the flimsy leg gives way, flipping the cane high up into the air. Eclipse is oblivious, finally mastering the art of turning in place, and the cane comes right down on his head, crumpling the Santa hat and almost knocking him out of the zamboni, because he's not wearing a seatbelt. "What-- an ambush!" Eclipse immediately pulls a small knife out of his coat pocket, spins around, and slashes the cane in half in a smooth motion, a little blood trickling down his forehead.

He looks left, and right, completely confused until Daniel calls to him, and focus once again settles on his features.

The vatbaby sits down, straightens his hat, and settles his hands on the controls, finally confident. "Alright... beginning the mission," he mumbles to himself, taking comfort in the practiced statement he is to begin any NESTS operation with. The zamboni whirls around, orienting on Yamazaki, and Eclipse shocks the world by moving it /straight forward./ The resurfacing blades kick in, sending ice out to either side. Filled with victorious spirit, the young man yells out as he bears down on Yamazaki.

"TOOORYEEEAAAAAGH!"

COMBATSYS: Yamazaki endures Eclipse's Merciless Offroad Resurfacing.

Yamazaki is riddled with furious amounts of bullets.

He just falls back, unable to stem the tide of SMG fire--at least, he's unable to avoid being riddled with rubber and lead by it. Unable or... just... unwilling. See, anyone with half a brain looking at the tapes here will really understand this. Yamazaki isn't interested in playing it safe. He isn't interested in just running for cover from these bullets like they're nothing. It's not like that.

He sets blade to ice, his suit ruined and blood beginning to spill from his jacket freely.

Then he starts stalking towards Daniel. Even if the bullets shoot him in the head. Even if they shoot him in the groin. Even if they shoot him in the teeth. It won't matter. Like an angry man caught outside in a hailstorm, he's going to walk towards Daniel slowly, that grin plastered across his face. That eye of his beginning to twist up into his eyesocket independent of his other eye. Bloodshot. Bleeding. Ruined. Frothing. The mercenary stalks towards Daniel, with a full mind to finish the job he started on him.

"I smell blood...an I think it's comin off you."

--"AUGH--"

Yamazaki is caught fully underneath the zamboni, his body disappearing underneath a reindeer. And the machine will tilt, as if going over a particularly huge bump.

CRUNCH.

"YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEARH--"

SCRUB

"AAAHHHRRGGH"

SLICE

"NNGHHH--"

POLISH

GRIND...

Bloody water drains out from the bottom of the resurfacer, then, with the laboring of--something--being caught within the machine's treads, the machine will not go any further.

There is an ominous creak.

...then the machine lists dangerously to one side.

And an instant later, it explodes in half.

Ryuji Yamazaki detonates from somewhere between the treads and the fuselage of the zamboni, his body emerging as a ghastly array of shredded leather and slush, trailing purple force. For a moment he looks like something out of a horror film about Jack Frost, the blonde and bloodied man simply barreling towards Daniel--with the ice razor from underneath the resurfacer clenched firmly in his teeth.

"GIMME SOME OF THAT BLOOD!!!"

He uses the razor not unlike an impromptu axe, attempting to just butcher Daniel in the chest with it, force enough to plant the razor into the ice by at least a good foot.

At least, until the blade explodes from Yamazaki's own force of brutality.

COMBATSYS: Daniel counters Sadomazo from Yamazaki with You Got Jacked!.

Daniel Jack's gun chortles as it reaches empty. Unfortunately, the detective's composure may have taken a hit. See, someone who walks through a full-auto storm of nasty ammo is not a good friend. Especially with the kind of face Yamazaki was wearing. That was the face of a man who was walking through .45 caliber bullets. There was no sense of stopping power. Only Daniel, and his blood.

Right now, charging at Yamazaki while firing didn't seem like such a good idea.

As the private investigator closed in on the killer, his groping hands ready to enact some Vanessa on him, Daniel plan B kicked in. See, he wasn't a complete idiot. When Eclipse shuttles in, the pilot takes his Zamboni and drags Yamazaki in. And that was that. The maniac was done for.

The detective hung the machine gun over his shoulder, still biting down on his cigarette. His jaw was tense, his entire body was tense. Hell, looking around, he was trying to finger out the medical team. Heaven knows he, Vanessa, and, judging by the soundtrack and the color job, Yamazaki would need one. It was a close fight. Vanessa was a major help with keeping the nutjob off his back, and with dealing the damage on him. Circling around the vehicle, the detective looked over at Eclipse. He gave the pilot a short salute-

And then he saw jam up. As it shuddered to the side, the detective began to glide to a stop, eyes wide in horror. Oh HELL no. Immediately, the thing exploded apart, releasing the bloody remains of the psychopath, tearing across the ice. The thing had to come from hell itself. The abomination tore right for Daniel Jack. He was approached by a dangerous stranger, and was taken by surprise. The ice razor shot right for Daniel's chest-

A sharp crunch is heard as the detective shoves the Grease Gun up, catches the brunt of the impact. Moving beside Yamazaki, he grips the man by the shoulder. With the skill of Kasumi Todoh, he positions his knee forward, and just hurls the man, face first, to the ice. Daniel Jack takes the momentum to drift backwards, struggling to keep his balance.

Did he just save himself from a fate worse than death?

In the conflagration of the explosion, nobody can see that Eclipse only survived by risking his cover entirely, shutting off the cybernetic limiters in his arms, skin darkening to tan with his hair fading to white, firing a black chi blast down into the explosion, reactivating his limiters before coming flying out of the blast in a flip, landing briefly in a Badass Pose (kneeling, fist down on the ground) before slumping over, off-balance. If he seemed a little off-color initially, he's back to his swarthier appearance by the time he stands up. The steering wheel is still in his left hand.

Eclipse looks from it, to the Sleighboni's wreckage, to the waiting port that he never got to park into which is even now closing, all the Striker lights burnt out. Eclipse flings the wheel down onto the ground (Eclipse Umbra has learned frustration!) and promptly slips, falling on his ass, one of his boots loosened enough to launch into the air.

Eclipse is very fortunate that Vanessa did not see that. He would probably be the recipient of what's about to happen.

Yamazaki gets turned into slush, and for a moment, Vanessa thinks he's actually dead, and finds herself unexpectedly happy with the possibility. He isn't part of her vendetta, but...

...well, the Boxing Queen has little remorse for men who try to rip off her tongue in the middle of a sanctioned fight. But no, Yamazaki explodes out of the zamboni and comes at Daniel, screaming for blood.

Vanessa moves then, but not even she is fast enough to get there before Daniel manages to reverse the attack for the second time, upending Yamazaki, leaving Vanessa in a prime position.

She rushes in, but from to all appearances from the SNF cameras it's more like she /appeared/, a chi charge already running up her right arm. Her coat is burned through by the strength of Yamazaki's chi-powered drill punch, her throat bruised and her cheeks red from fury. She spits, once, and then sneers down at Yamazaki, "Hi, schnookums!" she jeers, as if in defiance of her attempt to silence her. Her voice is hoarse.

A hurricane explodes around her right hand, spiralling around her arm as she leans in to plunge it into Yamazaki and subsequently plant Yamazaki /and/ her fist in the ice, quite possibly smashing a hole in the rink. "REMEMBER ME!?"

COMBATSYS: Yamazaki fails to interrupt Puncher Finish EX from Vanessa with Bomb Headbutt.

Flaming zamboni parts everywhere.

Blood spilled all over the ice.

Bodies scattered all over.

This was one hell of a party.

But it seems like Yamazaki has overrun his ability, his blade that was meant for the general vicinity of Daniel's chest is turned aside by Daniel's juicy juiced chinese chipped bean counter. Yamazaki shatters his own skates with the impact, the man simply breaking down his boots systematically with his hard riding until there was simply nothing left but the filthy nubs. His hand opens--and then all of a sudden, Yamazaki is introduced to the ice, hitting the ground hard.

To people like Yamazaki, it was like being gently pawed at by a kitten.

But you can only get pawed at for so long before the hundreds of rounds pumped into you actually take hold.

He hears someone. Someone calling for him.

The broad. The mercenary stumbles to his feet, a boneless creature more snake than man at this point, his cable muscles aching and tired. Felt good...

But you know.. somethin's been bothering him.

His eyes widen as a wide-eyed red-faced Vanessa blurs in, his left eye lazy and flooded with blood as she simply appears in vicious attack, the hurricane around her fist resembling a lot of his own little private meatwagon, the yondan drill he just gave her a taste of not too long ago.

Jeering him? HIM!?

He raises a hand. "THAT'S IT!!" It flicks out--

...And then Yamazaki is damn near blown to pieces on that crippling fist, his body smashing into the ice until the ice itself can't even hold him, cratering through a foot of cold glassy freeze into the slushy water and concrete below, spreading cracks through the understructure of the rink savagely.

His blood.. gets cold.

"...gh...gh.." he chokes.

His eyes don't see anything, but he tries to get up, his middle section rising before the rest of him does, his body only barely giving up the ghost.

"gh...see you in my dreams..eheh.."

Daniel Jack catches his balance. He had a good reason to. While Eclipse was unleashing his sexy bailout, Vanessa was... well, how to put this. She looks like the kind of dame that would suck down a tube of alum without batting an eye. No, not psychotic. Just plain tough. Strong willed. The detective suddenly developed the gentlemanly urge to assure her feminine side without any threats of intimacy. Her mysterious appearance just makes it all the more inviting.

The detective gently skates across the ice. Man, his body hurt. Not bone wounds, either. Deep-set flesh wounds. He was what, only hit twice? He probably looked gruesome right now. Then again, she was the same. Scratching to a stop near the downed Yamazaki, he looks down, face deadpan. "Decent. Real decent. Hell, I'll say it straight." The detective looks up at Vanessa head on, face still frigid into a grimace. "Damn decent. Are you handling it stable, Miss... what was your title du jour again, Ma'am?"

Once Vanessa is done hammering Yamazaki through the ice and to a hopefully watery and unpleasant grave, the Boxer turns around and sighs at her ruined sweater. Without much of a care she discards the garment, tossing it lazily in the direction of a soon-to-be-independently-wealthy-via-EBay SNF fight crewman. Underneath is not much; her habitual halter shirt was under there, except burned through as it was, she's currently wearing more suspenders than shirt, at least until someone throws her something else to wear. Vanessa tips a slightly tense grin at Daniel, the after-effects of letting herself get a little wild on Yamazaki, offering, "Well, you weren't bad yourself, sugar. I'm Vanessa." She extends one hand for a shake, adding, "Nice moves with the...judo? I'm not sure I could've pulled a stunt like that."

Daniel Jack puts forward a hand to give Vanessa a shake. Surprisingly, his jacket was also missing. Not because it was destroyed, but because... it was taken. First, it was Kain. Then, it was Billy. Now, in his first Saturday Night Fight victory, it was Yamazaki. Oh, it was obvious that it was a team effort. But he was on a team that he actively took part in, and he won in.

Shaking Vanessa's hand briskly, he doesn't break his grimace. Not even the partial nudity took his attention away. Suave was difficult for a man of his profession, but he could at least try. "Solid, real solid, Vanessa. And that may be some of the best boxing I've seen." Not counting the encounter with M. Bison, of course. "But nah, that wasn't judo." The detective releases her hand, and suddenly looks at a camera. With a energetic thumbs up and a lock-jaw smile, he speaks directly to the folks at home.

"That was the art of Todoh-Ryuu Kobojutsu, the traditional martial art of Champions. Follow the Way of Todoh to Victory! I'm Daniel Jack, and this has been SATURDAY NIGHT FIGHTS, scuzzies!"
