Description: Four fighters go out and have an electrifying fight. Only one person leaves on their own power. (Winner: Mignon)
It's a veritable lightning round.
The room is cramped, but spacious, in a way that there is not much of a head space and there is more of a ground space. Also, there happens to be a TON of sparks flying around. But they're all pretty and harmless. Really. Electricity is abound, and it's a bit SHOCKING to discover you're going to be fighting in this absolutely ELECTRIFYING arena.
But then, who else could have such energy? Clearly they have chosen the most energetic warriors, ready to AMP up the awesome. But what RESISTANCE will they find? Oh, well, the battlefield for example, is going to be a real SHOCKER.
They're going to have to DeCide what they're going to do, or just ACcept that they're going to have to live with the battlefield.
Mignon, meanwhile, didn't read the instructions. OH WELL.
"Wow, Mignon's hair is standing on end!" She notes, the puffy pink hair, in a bun, standing upwards and expanding. Her natural little sparkles are being sparkled all over, as well, and now THAT is something. Because Mignon isn't used to it. "Heehee.. oh boy, Mignon can't wait to see this start working!"
There's no sky, just metal, electricity.
And a whole lot of PAIN.
Boy won't the audience get a JOLT out of this one?
Zach is already on the platform, stretching out as he usually does before a match. He is trying to very hard not to think about the permutation on this twisted match.
He was far more concerned about his opponents. Birdie is a mountain of meat, more than capable of doling out the pain... Hopefully this won't go too badly, right? Right.
Electrical jolts?! What the hell do they think they're doing. With something like that it's gonna be hard as heck to stay CURRENT in this fighting arena. Why, what happens when such things fall upon meat?! Will they become a grill?! Well, Birdie's here to find out. But he ain't gonna be the meat, that's for sure. That's some one else's schtick. Right now? Birdie's gonna be something else entirely.
He's gonna be himself.
Moving onto the platform with a stroll of giant, Birdie's grin is big and bad, the same way he keeps himself. Oh yeah. Now, they chose Birdie for one reason. His hair is already on end. Secondly, he's like a friggen electro magnet with his giant chains.
You might as well attach it to him and then tell Birdie to be an electric fence. No one's going through him, and if they try, they're gonna get zapped. Haha, yeah. Birdie likes that away.
"What the hell. What's this?" Birdie snorts upon seeing those that stand against him. "We got two magical girls here today?" Birdie snorts with a belly laugh right after, "I'll try not to punch ya too hard." Oh, Birdie will try. Doesn't mean he won't.
SNF. Always up for putting young(ish) people in dangerous places -and- making them fight. As this fight takes place up on a power capacitor array, a place with a lot of, well, shock potential... Mizuki chooses not to wear her normal outfit. Seems like she might have to update her wardrobe, at least as far as SNF goes! So she's wearing a short-sleeved, open jacket, in red, with a white shirt underneath, and black denim jeans, socks, and sneakers. Simple and comfortable.
Now if only she could say she were comfortable with her partner. She gives Birdie a look(tm), (not a Look(tm)). She may not know Mignon well, but... eh. It's an SNF, just like the one she had with Hotaru vs. Zach and Katana. It remains to be seen if she will have to betray Birdie--but as long as he isn't too out of control, she guesses she can deal with him.
Up on the power array platform, she shivers a little, looking at the harsh lighting, and the power array... somethind very dangerous. Her shoes have rubber soles but that's not going to help.
What might, however, is making sure she can concentrate and focus her chi--something she does immediately, blue-silver energy licking up around her in a circle as she assumes a slightly more squat pose, her hands clasped together in front of her, as if she were praying.

So .. Zack is on her side .. Mizuki is over there with that really mean looking nasty NASTY man, and Mignon is here. In between. "OKAY!" Mignon cries out, nodding to herself. "Mignon is SO going to have fun today somehow so uh ... WATCH OUT EVERYBODY MIGNON IS COMING THROUGH!" She exclaims, raising a hand upwards, cheering herself on in a loud screeching voice.
BOOYAH.
With Mizuki right there, protecting herself, praying, and causing energy to EXPLODE from her like a nice oil dredge.. at least that's what Mignon can THINK it is, Mignon stares on, eyeing her very closely. "Mhmm Mhmm. Mignon sees. She's not going to assault her! So Mizuki wants to get ready for the battle ... but Mignon can't let her so HERE SHE COMES!" And towards Mizuki, Mignon barrels.
No. Normal barreling. Mignon is flailing rapidly towards Mizuki, arms flapping like a bird, but the magical girl currently on the ground, running along, space boots a FLASHIN.
And then Mignon launches into the air. "MIGNON .. KITTY... PAW PAW!" And then the leg lashes towards Mizuki's guard. HIYA
Zach watches for a moment, before focusing on Birdie. There's not going to be much strategy here, since there is no controlling Mignon, really. He brings his hands up, imagining three sheets of psionic power, which shimmer into existance above Birdie's head.
Zach focuses more energy into them for the briefest of moments before dropping his arms. He does not use the full, lunging step that accompanies the Todoh Ryu technique, prefering a lighter stance to be ready for anything Birdie brings to bear.

Well, Zach can totally do that. Birdie is all for it. Except for one thing really. One untangeable second that seems to linger more than the others. It's that as Birdie looks on toards the waves of power that Zach fire out for him, the layers of Psi that Birdie has seen before, but still really can't muster all that sort of shit to tell. Yeah, that stuff.
Birdie is sort of a little monster for some reason. He just looks on and sees what he sees. Ah hell. Well, it's been nice.
And then Birdie leaps. Up over the projectile. Up over the three sheets of energy. Up over it all, landing with a thud infront of Zach, a big shit eating grin on his face.
"Hey, bloke. Didja' miss me?" Birdie snorts with laughter, "Cause I missed you!" Birdie cries, aiming to grab a hold of Zach, and if he manages, just toss the the smaller boy away. And he's not just gonna toss him away. He's going to use him like he uses everyone. He's going to toss him right into the electric floor. Why?
Oh, just cause. Birdie an ass.

People always gotta go for the head. Mizuki was, perhaps, worried too much about her ability to draw on chi--something that she has always considered central to her ability to fight.
The thing is, she sometimes just needs to, you know, -fight-.
Mignon's boot connects spectacularly; Mizuki is suddenly floored into the platform, crashed down, her head bouncing off the metal plating with a painful-sounding *CRACK*.
"... ow ow, friggin' ow..." she mutters--already bleeding, but she stands up, putting her hand to her head to staunch the bleeding. It'll take a moment, but eventually she can move her hand away. "Right... guess I better get in this!" Popping her neck, she assumes a rather generic combat stance, then... turns to follow Mignon. At least her outfit lets her be more flexible and more mobile, something she'll have to try and take advantage of as she races to try and catch Mignon on her downward arc.
If she manages, she'll grab the girl by the shoulders and twist, flipping her overhead, and slamming her into the flooring--then going down to a crouch to lay a knifehand chop into Mignon's sternum.

Well Mignon SO didn't go for the head she just went for 'Mizuki' and well TARNATION that IS Mizuki. But the point is, as Mignon crashes down at the girl, foot first, Mignon bounces off because Mizuki just .. unfortunately.. takes the attack.
"W-WOAAAAAH!" Mignon flails as Mizuki is suddenly floored, the pink terror, Mignon, flailing as she falls backwards, through the air.. and lands, barely, on her hands. "Mignon doesn't like being upside down though.." She notes, as she can see Mizuki get to her feet, bleeding, popping her neck and then following her. Mignon, upside down, on her hands, stares towards her onslaught, as Mizuki attempts to catch her and grab her by the shoulders and twist, and flip her around.. Mignon skips to that, and eeps!
"Mignon better get rolling!"
That's JUST what Mignon does, as she rolls towards and under Mizuki, as she heads towards her.
Leaping to her feet, Mignon .. attempts something WEIRD.
Her hands go towards Mizuki's back. "Okay Mizuki HERE COMES MIGNON! Sorry about before!" And then if she makes the grasp.
Mignon would THRUST her hands forwards, holding onto Mizuki. Crackle. Crackle.
ZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP.
Electricity would arc through Mignon's hands, as she ADDS TO THE SCENERY. "LIGHTNING BOLT!" If Mizuki doesn't get out of the way, she's going to end up spiralling at the wall with a lightning bolt showing her the way!

Birdie's grip is strong enough to crush steel. Zach lets out a short yelp, and thrusts a free hand towards the big bruiser. It stops short of the larger man; Birdie /definitely/ has the reach advantage on Zach.
The swath of psychic energy that slashes towards the mohawked giant, however, slams into Birdie with significant impact, knocking the brute back several feet!
Birdie's thrust into by Zach's strike?! Well that's surprising! The psycho energy smashes into Birdie, throwing him back a small distance and into the wall. His body shows the pain, the traces where the psycho energy wishes to escape, but Birdie, he just grins as he pries himself off.
"Now what in the bloody hell do you think you're doin?" Birdie starts with a grunt, "You think that's all that's coming to you? Do you understand who the hell you're dealing with?" Birdie snorts with a laugh. "Ah, bloody hell boy. I work for Vega. I'm gonna grind you into dust." Birdie snorts, thrusting himself towards Zach in a move that could only be called 'Birdielicious'. By which we mean Birdie's aiming to crash right into Zach with his head, aiming to run into him with a pretty spiked hair headbutt!

"Ngh!" Mizuki's off, again--misjudging Mignon's movements. She hasn't been fighting enough, her skills are growing rusty--and there's no better proof than this, as she's snagged by Mignon--hurled into the wall, and lightningbolted to boot. She sizzles, crashing into the metal wall, then falls to her knees. Lesson quite thoroughly learned: Mignon may look and sound silly, but that is no indicator of her skill or power.
Mizuki, for her part... breathes outwards, centering herself. Perhaps she should just be offensive--just keep attacking, hoping to land hits, to even the score... but sometimes it helps to hold back. All that stored power is suddenly released, power gathered into a blue-green torrent of energy that pours over the miko, obscuring her for a few moments...
The glowing torrent of water-like chi evaporates into sparkles, mere inches from the decking, as she manipulates her chi to heal, rather than harm.
As Mizuki is off again, as Mignon snags Mizuki and then BZzAT BAzAOW! Yeah that's right, BAzAOW! Mignon's surprised as Mizuki is snagged and HURLED into the wall, sizzling and crashing. Tilting her head, Mignon .. blinks? "Ahh .. are .. you okay? Mignon doesn't mean to really be hurting you this hard but .." But as Mizuki centers herself, aiming to keep going.. well.. Mizuki changes her ideas. As she had stored power, and suddenly released it, Mignon watches that blue green torrent of energy.
And as it sparkles, Mignon knows JUST WHAT IS GOING ON.
From one magical girl to another, "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIT! Mignon's seen THIS before Mignon has done this SO MANY TIMES!" She explains, and thinks, tapping her head. "What do they do to Mignon when she does this... OH RIGHT!" Mignon nods, rubbing her gloves together, sparkly magic all a sparkling around her hands.
"THEY DO THISSSS! MIGNON KITTY CRUSSHER! NYAAAAAAAAAAAAH WATCH OUT or she'll scratch you!"
And with that, Mignon is /flying through the air/. Her hands aiming to tackle into Mizuki, and then SCRATCH and paw and claw! Which is more like small rabbit punches.

Zach sees Birdie coming like an oncoming train. It's mildly intimidating. But not nearly as frightening as the revelation of who Birdie's employer is. Zach's emerald eyes go wide with panic for a moment, before the more rational part of his brain yells to get it in gear; Mizuki's pulling that regeneration trick again.
Zach dives forward, past Birdie to run at Mizuki. He takes a long, running leap towards the young girl, bringing a violet cloaked fist back as he sails through the air.
The psycho-powered fist slams toward Mizuki's shoulder with enough force to slam though the steel floor!
Birdie stands, looking towards Zach at first. And then Zach gets out of the way entirely. Not entirely unexpected, but Birdie one of those people you really can't just imagine to stand up and just take it like this?! Birdie stares out for a moment, thinks, and then decides that, yeah, oh yeah. It's time to just crush some more. And that's what Birdie does.
Especially now that Zach has decided got out of the way. That really helps him.
Because as he moves towards Mizuki? Birdie's not moving yet. Yet. Instead? He's just sitting there, watching everything. Remember when Mizuki shot him?
Yeah, good times.

There sure is a lot of action in her neck of the woods here. First off, that energy that engulfs Mizuki... well, most of her friends are familiar with what it can do, by now. The end result is, she's feeling a whole lot better...
... until Mignon comes at her and starts punching her in the head. It does hurt, but she's feeling better enough that she isn't overly distressed by the punches to her head. Zach's power... that's a more serious problem, perhaps, but Mizuki is, for the moment, more than adequately enabled to deal with the flying punch--Zach's aim is good, but Mizuki has a moment where she is precise, and instead of getting out of the way, she finds just the right spot to parry Zach's attack, intersecting her wrist with the wrist of his punching hand, deflecting him into the ground.
In a flash, she's reaching out for him, seeking to grab Zach by the shirt, to spin him around towards Birdie... and to thrust a twin palm strike into his back, to force him towards her would-be partner in this endeavor.
"Yeesh... what'd I do?" she asks, rhetorically.
Red klaxons glow brightly, flaring rapidly as they blink a warning echoed by alarms all through the complex. This is the time you clear the decks, bunker down at your stations, and avoid what's coming next. Except that the four warriors are fighting right amidst the very conduits of this oceanic capacitor. Metallic coils and prongs extend from all four corners of the ceiling, and while there's undoubtedly a countdown, it is not audible here - or simply cut for the benefit of the fighters.
The batteries of the platform reach their full charge, and all of the power is discharged at once, amplified down the highly conductive wires and arrays along the path occupied by tonight's arena. Electricity courses off every metallic surface - which is to say just about everywhere, crashing together in tremendous, ball-like surges and arcing wildly all across the room, from coil to coil, and more than likely... fighter to fighter.
OHHHHH YEEAAAAA JACKIN' ON.

Mignon is a headache. SHE IS A HEADACHE OF MULTIPLE PROPORTIONS.
Hopefully Mizuki brought her medicine. "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!" Mignon cries as Mignon comes, as she lands the strike. Mizuki, meanwhile, is capable of stopping Zach's assault. Mignon blinks, looking over. "Oooh boy! YOU CAN DO IT BLASTY GUY MIGNON HAS FAITH IN YOU!"
She screams that. It's fairly annoying. It's not likely to help either.
ALL THE BETTER. Mignon turns now, to face Mizuki as she asks about this, and tilting her head, Mignon .. blinks. WELL OKAY! "I guess he didn't like sparklies!" Mignon adds, to Mizuki, and turns to Birdie. And then there is a Red Klaxon laden battery.
It begins to shock. "Wuh oh Mignon doesn't like the look of that!" And then raises.. water. "WATER UP!"
This is the most retarded thing she could have done, SECOND TO TRYING TO STOP A BLADE OF ICE WITH WATER.
Well it ends well enough, as Mignon crashes backwards, shocked, blasted, and convulsing.

Mizuki slams Zach into the ground with surprising force. He crumples to the floor in fron of Birdie, which is not good. You know what /else/ is not good?

Zach screams in pain as the power surges through him. He twitches on the grating for a moment, before slowly, painfully, he pulls himself to his feet. He gasps for air, even as his own energies flare to life and attempt to replenish him. He is not sure what his next move should be, he just knows that he is in a great deal of pain.

Birdie just sits there with a grin. You see this? It's the mark of a winner. And then something starts to happen. Birdie snorts. Aw hell no. FUCK NO. The area itself begins to lightup in what could only be called a massive electrical storm. Birdie is a tough sunova gun, but he's not a friggen lightning rod. You know? When shit like that happens Birdie usually is out of the way.
But here, well, Red Klaxons. Flaring red glowing bulbs alerting everyone. You gotta be kidding me. They ain't. Birdie is in for a world of hurt. And so is everyone else. The batteries are fired off into all the fighters, and Birdie? Well Birdie is someone that's just struck terribly. His chain grab a lot of it, searing into his body as he's powered by electricty. But the even blacker charred dude named Birdie ain't sitting down for this. He's rushing right at Zach.
Kicking them when they're down?
Check.
Getting some pay back? Double check.
Bringing the hurt back into style? Oh you better believe it. His head begins to pile forward towards Zach in an attempt to break him open. With his head. Peck peck peck PECK PECK PECK. "UYAAAAGGHHHH!"

The electrical discharge was... well, it was unexpected. Mizuki is caught flatfooted, and she just -screams- as the energy burns through her body. She's left, literally, a smoking mess, crumpled on the decking--once the energy releases its hold on her. She is... she is...
She is horribly injured by that, gasping for breath. She's not like Birdie; she can't just take the pain and keep going.
She can't even focus enough to really move, for a moment; it takes major effort to get to her feet, and she's shaky when it happens... but then she starts to breathe again, regularly. Once again, she centers, focuses herself... not reaching for her chi, but just calming the shock out of her body, as best as she can.
She'll be ready in a moment, but that was... that was quite the shock, so to speak...

Stopping convulsions, Mignon finally is able to get up to her feet. And darn. She flips to her feet, getting right up, and back, INTO THE LAND OF THE LIVING. Okay she never left but as the electricity courses into Mignon, the smoke, the pain, the electricity, the smoke th-Oh circles. Mignon shakes as she raises up to lean forwards, shaking herself off, before looking towards Birdie, Zach, Mizuki .. "OHHHH wow Mignon never saw .. that .. owie ow ow .. WAIT WATER CONDUCTS ELECTRICITY." Mignon's obliviousness finally goes into 'OF COURSE' mode and she is all about the 'DUH!' That suddenly slides over her.
Really she always had this. She just never.. really used it.
Maybe the shock brought it back to life? "DON'T WORRY MR BLASTY I'LL SAVE YOU!" She'll learn Zack's name one day but right now it's just blasty. Blasty the bombardier.
And Mignon spins, spinning across the terrible electricity filled battlefield.
And launched a FREAKING TWISTER at Birdie, "DIVINE WIND SPIRIT .. watch out for the electricity OKAY!"
That's important, even for magic.

Zach crumples under the repeated headbutts, flying across the arena like a limp ragdoll. He slams into a coil, his eyes wide with terror at what Birdie could do to him, who Birdie can take him to. Zach's breathing speeds up, his heart pounding in his chest as the adrenaline kicks into over drive!
Glen lets out a scream for the second time as his energies respond to the fight-or-flight response. Zach arches his back, his body arcing like a bow as the psycho power screams out of him, washing across the whole platform!

After the energies sweep across the makeshift arena, Zach crumples to the grating. He does not stand back up, and is looking absolutely exhausted.

There are things that make sense. There are things that make absoultely no sense. And then things that are just really silly.
This is one of those silly moments. Birdie can hear Mignon crying to watch out for the electricity. HE'S LISTENING to Mignon. Yeah, listening to Mignon. There are some things that Birdie won't listen to. But listening to Mignon say WATCH OUT has that effect. The shrill, loud, abnoxious voice, yeah. SHE SHOULD BE THE WARNING KLAXON.
Not that stupid recorded bullshit!
And Birdie leaps. He leaps like it was his heratidge. Birdie vaults over the twister spinning towards him, Birdie leaps over the terrible cackling psycho power energy that's sent in every direction ever. Birdie leaps.
But where does Birdie come down?
Oh. That's an easy one.
He comes down on Mizuki. "LOOK OUT BELOW, CHICK-A-DEE. BIRDIE'S FALLEN'!"

The warning isn't enough. Birdie -flattens- Mizuki with his feet. The miko cries out in alarm and pain as she's flattened--the only side benefit is, well, she rolls away and is low enough to the platform to let Zach's wave of psi roll over her without damaging her. She hisses, and rises to her feet.
"Jerk," she hisses, turning her gaze on Birdie. "Can't even play nice for one damned fight, huh? Fine... I don't care who wins this anyways. Maybe I did, but you're just too much of a... a... -jerk-!" Then she sweeps her arms back, chi flowing into her arms, building up into a blue-white flare... and then she sweeps her arms forward.
Shortly thereafter she unleashes a torrential hurricane of icy chi, blasting out at Birdie. Mignon is lucky; she's off to the side, out of the path, as Mizuki shouts, "EAT THIS YOU JERK!!"

The assault of Zach, exploding outwards, catches Mignon's attention. "WHY ARE YOU DOING THAT YOU STUPID HEAD, MISTER BLASTY YOU AREN'T SUPPOSED TO DO THAT! Mignon will stay RIGHT HERE until YOU say you're SORRY-AUGHHHHH!" She cries out, as the eruption of power rolls into Mignon, crashing into her, and then tossing her to the side. The pain. The horrible pain as it washes over, doing damage that should not easily be done.
Oh, BUT IT IS. Mignon takes it, and turns towards Birdie, in the end, as she's rolling on the energy.
Seriously, she has a good time for this. Mizuki is launching one? Well Mignon has something that will CLEARLY be better.
Because as Mignon is literately surfing the energy as it eats against her, she fumbles in her pockets, riding the wave of psyche energy towards the wall. What might be there? What could she POSSIBLY have. Well. Birdie will find out alright. Because something Mignon drops, before going face first into the wall, with a SPLAT, is ..
It's .. a ... ITS A BOMB.
IT'S A BOOOOOOOOOOMB.
It has a fuse and everything, and it's short fused.
Uh oh!

Oh no! It's that time again! When Birdie's explode! At first, Birdie finds out that Mizuki is buzily planning to KILL HIM. WHAT. Birdie can't allow that. But he does. OH HE DOES. Even as he lands upon her and gets thrown off, a torrential hurricane of icy chi overtakes him, throwing him backwards in a move that could be only called painful!
And then just as Birdie thought it was done. PART TWO of more projectiles than GOD.
Mignon's BOMB. Birdie tries to leap away. HE TRIES. But he doesn't make it. KABLOOEY. Birdie is just thrown away from it, exploding out in such a way that even Birdie cannot stop such pain! He lands, burned and chared, lookin gup towards Mizuki. And he gets up. "Heh... HEH." Birdie snorts, "Ain't my fault I can't resist chick-a-dee! And here's one for the rode!" And Birdie, being Birdie, attempts to do what he's best at.
Pullback his head and then Give Mizuki THE BIRDIE like motion.
Except he's coming even FASTER and MORE TIMES.
YEAH.
Then he falls to the ground though...
YEAH.

Mizuki is quickly finding out that Birdie is someone she just doesn't want to be around. It was her 'mistake' to lash out at Birdie--the hit she lands is not worth the incoming pain. Birdie lands his hits--and they're more than enough to knock Mizuki straight into unconsciousness. She doesn't know -why- he chose to come after her... but she does know, if the SNF people think that she's going to willingly be 'on his side' ever again? They're crazy.
Her body rolls and rolls and rolls and fetches up against a set of pipes along the edge of the platform. She is just out--the medics will have to come get her, or someone else will. But for this SNF... that pretty much makes Mignon the winner. Or Mignon's team, anyways.

As Birdie and Mizuki collapse, Mignon tilts her head towards them. "Uh .. Mignon guesses.. this is .. over?" She blinks, hurt and all, but still up. "So Mignon .. sort of won?" She notes, and as she stands, blinks more. "Yaaaaaaay! HOOORAY!" She's always happy when she has a chance to prove to that NINON of hers that she is TOTALLY NOT A WASTE NYEH!
But then she falls over, Mignon tiiiiired. "Mignon .. really needs to take a time out .. but wow, she sure had to push herself.. Mignon wonders if Mister Blasty and the hair guy over there will stop being jerks! Awww.. Mizuki got hurt."
She notes, before Mignon goes to limp away, hurt as well.
She doesn't have the energy to help Mizuki. :( But she does go over and watch over, like a WHITE HAWK MAGE or a HAWK MAGE OF WHITENESS.
Or something!
