Description: Revenge of the Return of the Hurricane! Kain takes on a trio of superheroes in the war torn expanse of, er, Howard Arena. Kain is a might opponent, but Hurricane Hime and her crew have the power of justice on their side! (Winners: Himeko/Kenji/Stasya)
And so at long last, the Main Event was here. It was a main event to be so spectacular that .. Well.. Chances are nothing would top it. Many things were promised: Love. Evil. Heroes. Nachos. Special effects. Allll that good stuff that makes the greatest battle even better! However the Howard Area atendees are started off with something a little... Different than usual. The lights go dim and a giant four-sided screen lowers from above. And then a deep, male voice says in its deep, male tone: "Previously..."
The screens show an artists rendition of two young heroes, the pink-clad Hurricane Hime and of course her sidekick 'Missle Fist' Ashima, standing side by side. "Saturday Night Fights brightly burning heroes, day after day have faced and defeated many enemies.. However there was one, one that was so powerful that even their combined might could not take Kane down.."
The picture swaps to the two heroes completely engulfed in flame by a laughing Heinlein, and then switches to a close-up of the villains face. "'The power you two harness is pathetic! But I will not let your humiliation end so soon, no, not just yet..' Kane said, with a cruel smile upon his features. 'First I will meditate, and THEN I will destroy you! And after that, the world will truely know fear, for I am the Unstoppable Kane! Ha ha.. HA ha ha ha ha!!!'"
The picture changes to the bruised and battered duo, and Hime is just struggling to get to her feet. Himeko's voice actress, whom seems to be in her late twenties says, "Missle Fist, if we don't do something.. The world is finished, but I have a plan! I know exactly where I can go to find the perfect ally! All I need you to do is buy me a little time..."
"W- Wait!" cries Kenji's voice actress whom sounds nothing like Kenji, the close of picture of Kenji's horrified face shown now. "Hime! I can't do this! I can't do this alone!!"
"... Can't you?" Hime replies, a picture of her walking into the shadows (with an astonishing amount of detail on her scarf), and the screen fades to black. "... Or -CAN YOU-..."
The lights turn back on to reveal the stage, the stage that is the 'HEROES ARENA' which for some reason is set in 'Rome'. There are shattered pillars all over the place, broken statues litter the floors as well as chariots, spears and shields. It's like a war had broken out! Smoke for some reason spews from the ground, as well as clouds of dust, and the show starts.. NOW!
Backstage, Kain watches the video feed being shown to the audience. His right eyebrow twitches once. The voice is done by someone who doesn't particularly sound like Kain, but /does/ have a nicely villainous voice. Kain wasn't aware that this particular bit of fluff was part of this match, though. There's no time for him to voice his displeasure, though, and Geese would merely find it amusing, anyway. So as the lights come up, Kain makes his way out onto the arena floor.
/Some/ people may be dressing up for this event, but not Kain. Anybody who might attempt to force the issue would find the results exceedingly unpleasant. Still, his normal outfit is stylish enough to suffice. He glances about at the wreckage as he walks across the arena floor, smoothly striding over broken weapons and chunks of rubble from statues and pillars. Finally he comes to a stop at his assigned starting point. It's ramp laid out on the arena floor, raising Kain slightly above the majority of the wreckage, and the lighting focused on the spot is calculated to give Kain a sinister appearance. And then the fans kick in, causing his hair and coat to flutter out behind him for a moment. How dramatic.
There was one time that Kenji Ashima had gone up against Kain Heinlein-- it was earlier in the year, perhaps, it kind of became one massively slurred beating at the hands of the tall blonde man. He remembers being dragged out, severely beaten, by the medics-- and they had to have help to carry the Guardian King by the arms and legs, not because he was that injured or there was a lack of a stretcher... but because he wanted to charge back in there for -more-.
So he's a little nervous.
Most of his backstage time is spent hanging out with Stasya and checking his costume more than a few times in the mirror-- gotta look good, in this outfit-- and more than likely, discussing strategy or ideas with the fellow Gedo student. ... And check his hair.
But fight time soon approaches, and Kenji Ashima must make his entrance. And when he does, it's bright and exciting: More fireworks, bursts of smoke and flame, and the teenaged student sailing through the air with a cloud of smoke chasing after him and his scarf.
His six foot long scarf.
Dressed in white, blue, a bit of red and a bit of black, he looks like he literally just marched right out of something like Kamen Rider or it's cousin. The heavy falls of his boots hit the Roman-style stage as he marches to the specially dressed-up battle arena and wanders the opposite edge, keeping a fair distance between Kain and himself. Occasionally, he throws himself into a pose to get himself a little more into the situation, the scarf finding new life and whipping up dramatically every so often, as if the accessory were an animated part of himself.
"YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!"
Perhaps now Stasya Voronkova will finally get to see and realize how much of a nerd her teammate really is...
Hurricane Hime was psyched she was absolutly pumped; it'd been a while since she'd gotten to do a full-on superhero bit, and this was a chance for the heroine to bring her older outfit back in action!
Kenji's fireworks aren't enough, there's more PLENTY more fireworks to go around, and they shoot down from the sky, hitting the ground with BAM!s, BANG!s and KA-BOOM!s, and generally just making such a rukus that a massive cloud of dust bursts up from the floor completely envoloping and ... Well.. Grandstanding the Missle Fists entrance and posing frenzy! A light shines from below to hint at the silouette within next to Ashima's.. "Heh heh.. I've done it, I've made it back just in time, just as I'd planned all along of course!" comes the very authentic voice of Hurricane Hime, "It wasn't easy, of course, but the answer was simple. We needed someone good. Someone so good that they were -bad-. And the only way I could find someone like that was to travel back in time!"
Another light shines, revealing a third figure withing the cloud of smoke and dust.. Who? Just who could it be?? Hime stands forward, clad in her pink and black short-sleeve unitard, bright colored boots and battle gloves adorn but most importantly.. MOST IMPORTANTLY is her own six foot long scarf, so pink that one has to question the legality of it all. "And I went back in time to the place of your origin, Missle Fist! I believe you may know her quite well as a result!" PLOT HOLE!
And the dust settles, revealing behind her Stasya. But not just any Stasya. This Stasya is PIMPED OUT, the girl having been forced to wear a purple jump-suit with rolled up sleeves; the suits legs white in the lower half because they are totally killer bellbottoms. On her feet are silver slippers; as if she were wearing a disco ball; which matches the same insane blingage that are her neck and wristbands.
The belt is treated in the same blingy fashion, though the buckle is an unmistakable emblem of the Gedo High logo; that same large emblem on both the front and the back of her top in bright orange color.
Dazzle at her headwear; silver, hooped earrings on her ears and a gray 'green lantern' style mask over her eyes. "This is the end, Kane, because you didn't count on my TRAP CARD.. I present to you... GEDOOOOOOOOOFABULOUS!"

Color Stasya incredibly embarrassed. ...and purple too, from the looks of it.
It just figures... JUST FIGURES... that the one time she actually gets to see-- no, not just see, /fight/-- Kain R. Heinlein in person is the time the SNF premise is something absolutely, abjectly mortifying. She'd wailed all over a terrified Kenji backstage when they first arrived and were told what the match was all about, and when she'd seen what she'd be forced to wear she'd wailed harder.
In the end, however, there had been no choice but to go out. As embarrassed as she was, it was a chance to see Kain Heinlein in action... and moreover, the man was caught in the same exact mortifying situation as she was anyway (sort of). And so, when Himeko announces her cunning plan and the lights swing over, it's to reveal--
--the blonde with one hand up by her temple in that long-suffering, horrifically-embarrassed 'can't believe this is happening' sort of gesture. Himeko's 'trap card' doesn't look too enthusiastic about her role here.
"yes, yes..." the girl mutters, her voice barely carrying for all the abject shame weighting it down. Gingerly, she starts to scoot over to where Kenji's standing, trying to figure out how to move under all the BLING. "can we just get started," she pleads, still in that barely-audible, miserable little voice.

For his part, Kain hardly looks happy to be here, although with him it can be pretty difficult to tell. "Let's get this farce over with, shall we?" Kain raises his right hand, flexing his fingers for a moment, while looking off to the side of the stage. There's nothing in particular over there, though, so what is he looking a- and then Kain is suddenly gone. Well, not /gone/, but he's moving so quickly that the people watching might have lost track of him if they were focusing too closely on the spot where he was standing and blinked. Because that's the kind of speed with which he crosses the distance to Himeko.
There are already black flames around Kain's hand when he arrives, his arm drawn back for a strike. He comes up just slightly to Himeko's side, almost like he's going to push past her... only with his fist. His arm comes swinging in, his arm to drive his fist up and into Hurricane Hime's stomach and then just keeping going. Of course, since this isn't Mortal Kombat, it's the /other/ form of 'keep going' that's being referred to, where Himeko's contact with the ground is the weak link that will be broken. Between the force of Kain's punch and the explosive blast of the flames, it shouldn't be too difficult.

The shock of the costume that's been chosen for Stasya has worn off Kenji just a bit, but all the same it horribly amuses him. What would her father think, if he were in the audience? When Himeko comes out, makes her speech-- and then says it's someone that she knows, the mighty Missile Fist looks taken aback with a comical reel of his arms, one whipping back as he leans a bit. "Impossible! You mean!!"
Oh god, poor Stasya.
Once things get settled-- or at least as settled as they're going to get, what with the Russian hiding behind him and the excited girl whose scarf seems to be longer than the last time they met-- Kain makes the first move! Yes, such a thing is just as one would expect from a villain of Kain's... or "Kane's" caliber, making the daring attack that would threaten the livelihood of his super-compatriot!
Regardless of Himeko's first reaction, the Missile Fist takes the first move on the Heroside, shifting his footing to duck away from Stasya-- sorry-- and whip his leg up in a smooth circle, rotating hard and trying to drive his foot across the taller man's head. Regardless of hitting or missing, unless he's otherwise interrupted, the speedy spin sets him back to facing Kain, ready to keep at it!
"UrrrrrYAH!"

Hey.. Hey hey hey now!! There is one person here who -knows- that Stasya looks totally AWESOME right now, and she's certain all the adults in the audience are feeling REALLY nostalgic at the moment. Because, really, a blast to the past is JUST what the doctor ordered, in Hime's book and she is just positively BEAMING right now. Because come on, people, if Stasya's father were out there, he'd be all like 'Oh, that sure takes me back she looks JUST like her mother!'. C_C
"Yes, that's -exactly- what I mean, Missle Fist.. But now is no time for freaking out, it's time to SAAAAVE the world!!" Hime replies to her male sidekick, setting a hand on her hip and glances over her shoulder to speak to the other, "Listen up, Gedofabulous, I hope you still have plenty of that FunkyTown Fever in you because this guy is serious busine- WOAH!!" Big flaming fist with a side of flambe, the bookworm superhero faces another firey threat and all she can do is hunker up and brace into a block as tight as she can; though the impact still sends her crashing onto her back and sliding along the stone floor a bit, "HNnnghh!! H- Heh.. I've seen better punch at a high school prom, Kane! Allow me to show you how it's done!"
She kip-ups to her feet and with a short sprint she leaps up into the air, twirling like a corkscrew, "uuuuuuuuuuoooOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAHP!!" And if god is on her side, she stops spinning and attempts to drop her heel atop her foes head, with a mighty cry, "BOOM SHAKA LAKKA! Fake-out PUNCH!"
If anyone's mood could be said to match Stasya's right now, it's Kain. The man looks aggrieved to be here, and as such is all too happy to oblige when Stasya begs for it to be over with fast. The girl could have SWORN she was staring straight at Heinlein, but in an instant of inattention... the man is suddenly gone. Stasya startles, backing away a step and looking around warily, before she can pick out where Heinlein has gone.
Breathing out a nervous breath-- she couldn't even -see- Heinlein move, and is getting understandably anxious-- the girl tries to focus on the fight instead of on how COOL Kain looks when he's angling for an attack all wreathed in fire like that. Moving in abruptly after Kenji-- she can't believe Ashima is actually getting -into- this farce, for the record-- the girl tries to synchronize her attack with his, with the characteristic coordination the Kings have trained to achieve.
Kenji goes in high, and as such Stasya cuts low. Dropping towards Kain's ankles, she takes a 'here goes!' breath and lashes out a sharp sweep, attempting to catch Kain even if he ducks away from Kenji's assault. Mid-strike, a burst of red psionic energy lances from around her leg, cutting and sharp-edged should it connect.

Kain glances at Kenji as the young man brings his leg swinging up. Kain snaps out one arm, smacking his fist into Kenji's ankle from underneath before he can connect with the kick, sending the foot sailing over his head and quite possibly upsetting Kenji's balance, although Kain doesn't particularly care whether or not that's the case. Not when he still has to twist to the side to let Himeko's kick scythe down through the air, rather than crashing into his head. And then he just has to leap back to avoid Stasy'a psionic blade... but he's not quite quick enough. She slices through the fabric of his pants and presumably into the flesh beneath, although Kain shows no signs of any particular injury, and doesn't seem to be bleeding. She definitely sliced up his pants, though!
In theory that might make Stasya the most dangerous of the three... but Kenji is probably the one with the weakest defense at the moment defense at the moment, if the results of Kain dealing with his attack went as intended. And since Kenji tried to kick Kain in the head, Kain returns the favor. Black fire springs up around his foot as takes a long step back toward Kenji, then snaps his foot toward the student's face at a sharp upward angle.

There's memories attached to this-- lingering pain, a sense of having seen or felt something in the past. It's so true in this one instance, now with a leg launched out toward him and intent on sending him into the holy heavens with a whole lot of off-color flame chasing after it. Kenji reaches out to try to stop the leg cold with both hands, but the foot strikes his palms and goes right on up, breaking out of his grasp effortlessly and striking the Missile Fist with enough force that he's sent upward like a child casting off a rag doll.
As his body arcs backwards a bit, important details start to cycle through his mind-- did he forget that Kain could do something like that, with the beating he took last time? Did he forget to mention to Stasya the power that the man has in his attacks, beyond most of what either of them has probably run into in their time? Did he lock his closet with the gigantic collection of manga so his sister wouldn't be tempted to go steal some of the rare copies of some and threaten to destroy them if he didn't do what she asked?
All the questions and more, unanswered as the backwards arch becomes a full flip, and the teenaged superhero lands flat on his face like a sack of potatoes. The set actually -rattles- on impact, things jostling here and there while he hits like dead weight. Deciding to lay there, stunned, the only things that you'll see the secretary processing right now are the smell of the floor and how shiny Stasya's footwear is. Taking a moment, he gets his bearings while things go on, pushing himself up and hopping all at the same time. He gets himself into a squat before taking a lunge forward, bringing down his right leg with a hard stomp and swinging with his right arm.
The limb looks as though it's made of rubber, his arm bending in an awkward angle to and fro as his fist makes a straight arc toward the man's face, looking to strike him with a punch that's surprisingly hard for someone his age, and skill level. He's got something to show this man, that's for sure!
Oh dear.. Oh dear oh dear oh dear. Now, Hurricane Hime really isn't all that knowledged about Stasya's relations to Kain, but there's the faintest, faintest suspicion. You see, Stasya isn't the only fangirl around her so she KNOWS how this works. But without and solid evidence, the heroine isn't even going to worry about it. What she -will- worry about however, after whiffing her very cool 'punch', is poor Kenji! "A- ASHIMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!! WATCH OUT!" she warns, well after the fact! That's ok, on the DVD it can be re-edited to match the situation properly. :)
Though come on, Hime knows Kenji's fine, he's faught in tournaments with a broken freakin' arm! Look at him, he's back up and swinging- Not with just any attack, Himeko recognizes it easily!!! That is cool. TOO COOL. So Himeko gets fired up, and trailing from behind, bursts toward Kain from behind with a mad sprint, then leaps into the air, aiming to drive her knee into the opponents back lower back, "Shya-!!" her opposite foot then kicks forward, "Shya-!!" and then with a quick twist in the air, finishes the combination with a crescent kick, with as much umph she can muster in a small amount of time, "SHYAH!!"
Oh my God, she touched him!!
That's about all Stasya has the time to think before Kain decides to disapprove of the fact Kenji tried to touch him too. Stasya's lingering giddiness is left to war with her natural concern and dismay over how -hard- Kenji's just been hit, and for a moment she doesn't even know whether she'll cry out in worry over her teammate or just freak out over the obvious power Heinlein just demonstrated.
Soon enough, though, Kenji solves her predicament by kipping back up. Breathing a light sigh of relief, the girl turns her attention back to Kain. She only just barely hit him last time she went for him... she's going to have to pay a lot more attention if she wants to do more than be dead weight here. Her grey eyes narrowing on the man, she circles closer as Himeko and Kenji rush in for the charge, her keen eyes and senses attempting to discern any point-- any opening-- by which she can make an attack.
COMBATSYS: Stasya focuses on her next action.

A firmly placed forearm from Kain stops the Missile Fist dead in its tracks, and Kain doesn't show many signs of being moved by it. Himeko's attack, on the other hand... Kain hears her coming, and turns around to deal with her, but not swiftly enough. In fact, his turning around only serves for Himeko to drive her knee into the pit of his stomach rather than the small of his back, and let the rest of her kicks slam home to the front of his torso, forcing Kain to stagger back a few steps.
This is, as you might imagine, mildly vexing. But Kain isn't the type to scream out in fury, flying into a berserk rage. No, Kain simply reaches out in an attempt to grab Hurricane Hime by the throat, then lift her off her feet. Black fire springs from his hand, engulfing her head as he squeezes down with iron fingers. And as if that wasn't enough all by itself, Kain tops it off by suddenly spinning around to slam Himeko into one of the more intact pillars with enough force to reduce it to dust and small chunks of rubble.
In any other case, Kenji would be all for the dramatic rise to all fours, holding his chest and gasping for breath just as they used to in the sentai classics, watching on despite injury and fantastic hair to see the villain make his loud, boasting laugh and assure his own victory. When he hits the floor that time, well, that just goes out the window.
Similarly, his fist smacks into the man's forearm.
Feeling his jaw and neck tighten up a bit, Kenji decides it may be prudent to rethink his method of attack-- at least in some way or another. He takes a step back before throwing an odd punch, one that doesn't seem to be intended to strike Kain at all-- not even the burst of chi that follows his forearm, the powerful and mind-numbingly bright white-blue force he can conjure. It's intended to be a distraction, and perhaps one that'll give his teammate the boost she needs to land the decisive strike!
"Stasya!!"

"Heh heh.. HAAAH HA HA HAA! Yeah!!" Hurricane Hime cries, there was simply no doubt in her mind that her kicking combination would get the job do- .... Partially done! With Kain still standing, Hime's just just sort of drops in shock, and she scritches her cheek, "... Umm.. Hey, you don't have to hide the pain, Kane, you can just drop to a knee or something, I don't even mi-- hlllkk!!!!" It was just as she feared; she got his attention and has targeted her with Schwarze Call 911. Her neck clutched, oh she squirms, she tries head to slither herself free but when the fire, burning, and just all around ow comes into play, piller shrapnels just bursting and flying in each and every direction, that's a surefire sign they just got owned.
A chalk cloud bursts upward, and when it clears the heroine is just flat on her back, face rather unpleasently smattered in black char marks and she flops onto her stomach, reaching into her scarf while enduring the intense pain ringing in her body and wheezing for air. ".... ow." is about the only thing she can come up with while she squints her eyes at the large man, pulls herself to her feet and then slaps her cheeks. "Nnn... MmmnnnNNN!!" Her eyes clench shut. Oh it hurts, Lord does it hurt, but there's one thing Hurricane Hime can do very well in these situations.

Too much time has passed. The more seconds slip past, the more Stasya has an uncomfortable feeling she's coming up to the top of Kain's mental itinerary of pain. The thought both terrifies and excites her, the girl tensing up, trying to prepare in case Kain -does- decide to come her way.
He opts to go after Himeko first, however... and though a brief empathetic jolt of pain seizes her when the other girl is struck, Stasya tries not to let it break her stride too much as she surges abruptly towards Heinlein. Kenji's assistance is noted, Stasya recognizing his tactic and averting her eyes from the burst of light before it can distract -her- as well.
Closing the last few inches of distance, Stasya lunges forward, red psi unsheathing down her arms as she tries to plant her hands straight against a pair of major pressure points in Heinlein... and lance sudden, powerful bursts of blade-like psi straight into them.

Having dealt with Himeko for the moment, Kain turns around when he hears Stasya approaching. But then for a moment he can hear, but not see, as the flare of light from Kenji's fist momentarily blinds him. Kain's other senses are good, but it's difficult to switch over to relying on them so quickly, with no warning. And so Stasya manages to plant her hands on Kain, and he grunts in pain as the energy spikes into him. And that wasn't chi, either... how troublesome.
Of course, while Kain grunts in pain and doubles over slightly, that doesn't really open up much space between Stasya and himself. Not so good for her. As she'll probably notice when black flames begin to flicker around the points of contact she has with Kain. If she was hoping for any sort of congratulations on managing to get in a good hit on Kain she'll be disappointed, but maybe she can accept simply having managed to attract Kain's attention as a threat. That's something to hold onto as fire erupts all around Kain's body, a brief conflagration that engulfs everything within a few feet around Kain in black fire, which erupts outward with easily enough force to send a person flying.
For all intents and purposes, the burst of light seems to have done the job just right-- Kain is distracted, and Stasya finally lands a good, clean hit! That's good, proper teamwork for you, and Kenji's quite proud of it. As before, he takes a large backstep after the bright flare, keeping himself mobile and looking on the way of Himeko while she starts to scream.
For a moment, Kenji briefly wonders if he started a trend.
Slipping back into character for a moment, the Missile Fist's arms whip around as he drops himself into a pose, leaning right on an outstretched left leg and his punching arm drawn back. "Got more where that came from!"
Looking to interrupt the flow of the combat, to stop Kain's momentum before it properly builds, the Osakan brawler takes another lunging step ahead with a little more momentum than he actually needs-- and tries to grab Kain's face, to literally spike him headfirst into the ground. If he succeeds, the surge of chi from the ground, rather than his hand, will launch the man back up into the air with no forethought as to his landing.
"UuuuuuuuuRAGH!"
You very well may have, Kenji. But it's no secret that Hime enjoys mimicing things that she dubs very very cool.
And wow would you look at that.. Stasya is on a real roll, and Hurricane knows why.. Oh does she know why! See all that fire is giving off gleams of light that make Gedofabulous's bling even BLINGIER. 'Heh heh you fool! You are only blinding yourself!!' Hime thinks to her self as her yelling comes to a steady halt, and her wildly flapping scarf lowers back to the ground. Oh she can feel it, she can feel the adrenaline pumping but you know there was just one tiny problem she had with the purple-clad fight, "HEY!! Wh- What's the matter with you, you completely blew a -perfect- opportunity, Gedofabulous! If I don't hear a 'Jive Turkey' this match, you get a failing grade!" Hime yells, flailing her arms and just ignoring the pain in her muscles. And then before she knows it, Kain is on the Groovy Girls case, causing Hime to sprint into action not too far behind her scarved partner, staying clear of the fire if she can. If Kenji lands his attack, Hime dives up into the air, using his shoulders as a springboard, "Let's do it, Ashima!!" while flinging a huge amount of papers at Kain to wrap his arms and legs; sling her arms about Kain's waist and spiral back to the ground with a killer airial suplex!
Otherwise, she performs a similar set-up from the ground, slipping behind him and with a strained grunt, hoists back with a suplex followed with an arm bar!

Her attack connects, shocking Stasya almost as much as Kain, and suddenly the girl finds herself a little bit too close to Heinlein for comfort. Now, her sudden proximity to Kain-- not to mention her hands planted right ON him-- has several effects. One: she isn't really able to get out of the way of the man's retaliation. Two: she's blushing. Fiercely, redly, and very unrestrainedly.
The sound of Kenji's voice, however, is enough to snap her out of her star-eyed state quick enough for her to think fast as Kain decides to focus on her. That, along with the fact that the girl has watched enough tapes of Kain's fights to know which attack is coming next, is all that saves her as the black flames suddenly blast outwards. Gritting her teeth, mustering her meagre defenses against chi, she fists her hands in Kain's very jacket, holding on desperately so she isn't simply thrown clear away.
Her own red energy flares about her wrists, helping to deflect some of the flames, and once the furious strength of the fire has abated some, she pulls forward -hard- and simultaneously pushes off from the ground, slamming right back into Kain with a quick series of psi-laced strikes: each of them, due to the nature of her psi, seeming to -cut-. After the last, she pushes away quickly, trying to get some distance; she may be a fangirl, but she isn't exactly suicidal.
Oh, and there's something else to address: "Don't call me that!!" Stasya insists once she gets a moment to even breathe, casting a decidedly nasty glare at Himeko.

Rather than Kain's face, Kenji finds himself clutching Kain's arm. He can attempt to pull on the limb for a while to try to drag Kain down to the ground, but the results of that aren't likely to be pretty. Luckily for Kenji, Himeko intervenes. She comes leaps up over Kenji's shoulders, sending paper down to wrap up Kain's arms and legs. Paper, really? Kain should be able to shred this stuff with barely any effort... but it holds him long enough for Himeko to wrap her arms around him. Are you going to let her get away with that, Stasya?! Oh, and then she slams Kain into the ground, letting /him/ see what it's like to get tossed into the dusty rubble.
Of course, a moment later the paper is banished as black flames burst out all over Kain's body, freeing him and allowing him to climb back to his feet.
And don't think Kain didn't notice Stasya's reactions to him... remember, this is the man who can tell a person's emotions just by looking in their eyes! But it's not really relevant to anything at the moment unless he can find a way to make use of it in this fight, because as Himeko just proved, and Stasya before that, Kain can't underestimate these 'heroes'. Not when they're fighting together with the power of friendship, anyway.
Kain, on the other hand, doesn't need the power of friendship, because he has just plain power. Like the power he summons into the palm of his hand in the form of a sphere of pure chi, a pulsing blue light. This light quickly begins to grow in size as Kain points his palm toward Himeko, and by the time the sphere springs forward it's large enough that it's ripping a path through the scattered debris, leaving a clean trail as it races toward Hurricane Hime.
-----------------------------<Paste from Kain>-----------------------------
For all intents and purposes, the burst of light seems to have done the job just right-- Kain is distracted, and Stasya finally lands a good, clean hit!
Then, and now, he just can't get a grip on the guy?! Or even when he does, something happens-- limbs get in the way, others step in. To Kenji, it's a little frustrating... not as a superhero or a superhero's sidekick, but as a fighter. It's not like brawling with Tenma or sparring with Stasya and Hakuya-- there's just something about it. Is it the difference in their levels in a strict one-on-one sense?
The Missile Fist springs backward one more time, building a bit of distance between himself and the other three. He's a little tired, given, but he's thrown some hard attacks the man's way and hasn't landed a single one. The "coulds," "shoulds," and worries start to web up in his mind, bog down his thought process. Stasya looks like she'll die of fright, Kenji looks like he's going to die from overthinking the situation so hard. "Shuu..."
"HYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA--"
Chi explodes from the young man's arm as it hangs at his side, the white-blue light flaring up the length of his arm in wild surges and blazing up well beyond his shoulder-- larger in general than the last time Himeko saw it, no doubt. Walking forward while maintaining the "burn" on his arm, the Missile Fist seems like he's cleared things out of his mind, forging a massive grin and bringing up his left arm to beckon at Kain.
"Yo!! Why don't you take another crack at me? There's somethin' I wanna try."

Don't call her that, indeed. Haha, that's what Himeko likes about these hero newbies, they're so shy. And the girl immedietly yells back after a follow-up roll from her attack, "Haaaaaaa ha ha ha ha ha--" and then her face goes deadpan, ".. No I'm serious, if I don't get one 'jive turkey' out of you there's going to be.. Words." And she just stares even more intensely at her partner. One would ask, 'Woah there, now does Hime -really- need to be putting her focus on someone besides Kain?' and the answer is yes! You do it right or you don't do it at all! But she's not completely pre-occupied; there was something she had completely forgotten she even -had- to use on the flame-weilding terror herself and it comes in the form of yellow-rimmed goggles. Oh but not just any goggles, these are prescription!!
"Hoooooooooooooo.." Hime whispers to herself, in the moment that Kain thrusts his palm forward and the intimidating blast of chi is released, the goggles find their way over her eyes and for her? Time SLOWS DOWN. She can see -everything- at that very moment, she could understand what she was facing, for a brief moment, Hurricane Hime was SUPER Hurricane Hime!
The backwind of the blasts causes her scarf to go whipping backward, her messy hair getting in her face and she reaches into her shoulderbag, taking out two handfulls of paper, "HOLD ON TO YOUR BUTTS!!!" she cries, as the sheets take an intense, white glow of her own and she thrusts her palms forward seconds before the sphere slams into her. *Ka-BWOOSH* The wave of impact strikes so strong, that a massive cloud of chalk and dust whips up into the air, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" She's forced backward by the blast, threatened to be overwhelmed until finally she pushes herself off to the side with a tumble, the sphere to continue it's destructive path elsewhere. Huff.. Huff..
The adrenaline's still pumping! Without giving it a second thought of her own safety, Hime makes an attempt to regain lost ground by just blazing forward and dips her left hand back into her bag, throwing four of them behind her as she closes in on Kain, "This is it, Kane! With this fist, I bring an end to your chaos! OrryAAAAAAAAAAA-!!" and once close, she unleashes a hurricane of high and low roundhouse kicks, and a few elbow strike, "ra ra ra RA RA!!" she pauses a moment as the sheets of paper catch up with her, ablaze in white energy, and slam into her much larger opponenet, and finallizes with a rising uppercut, "Oshyaaaaaaaaaa!!"
Words?! Oh, Himeko can just -try- to come give Stasya some words after this match; she'll find it's not quite so easy as that! The girl just narrows her eyes at Himeko at that threat, her defiance looking just a little odd juxtaposed with her outfit, before she simply tosses her hair and decides not to pay the girl a whit of mind. There are nicer things to focus on in this match, like Mr. Heinlein! And Mr. Heinlein's massive energy blast of death.
Wait, what?
The girl flinches backwards at the sudden blaze of light and force. The strength of the chi is such that it singes slightly at her senses and causes her to shy away, even though she isn't anywhere near the target of the attack. Watching as Himeko nonetheless manages to weather through the assault, she's forced to grudgingly admit: that was pretty good. And Hurricane Hime is still going, vaulting onto the offensive even after that blow.
Her eyes turning back to Kenji as he challenges Kain outright, Stasya's expression turns to one of mild dismay. Making a swift decision, she opts to try and move in with an attack of her own in the hope she can confuse the situation enough one of the other two can land an attack. The girl dashes forward with her peculiar fluid grace, skating over the arena floor like a gazelle before vaulting into a handstand in an odd bastardization of capoeira and Chun-Li's acrobatic style. Skidding to a halt moments away from Kain, still inverted, her legs spin out in a sharp kick: the movement intentionally overly complicated in an attempt to distract.

Kain leans back out of the way of Himeko's first kick, then quickly steps back to continue avoiding her followups. She's persistant, though, he'll give her that. She follows it up with an elbow strike, but Kain quickly twists to the side to avoid that as well. And then, finally... there's the paper. For this Kain simply takes to the air, leaping over Himeko and her incoming attack entirely and landing smoothly behind her. He doesn't stay still for long after landing, though. Stasya is flipping up into a handstand, and Kain has to move fast to get out of the reach of her legs. Once he does that, though, she's relatively harmless until she can get back to her feet. And that leaves Kenji...
It'll look pretty bad for Kain if he ends up falling into a trap set by Kenji, but it appears that Heinlein is going to take the younger man up on his challenge. Kain stalks toward Kenji, moving toward him at a steady pace. Right up until he's just out of reach. Then he suddenly lunges forward for the remaining distance, twisting his body to the side as he snaps his leg out in an attempt to drive a flaming foot right into the center of Kenji's face.

It's strange to see Kenji this focused-- there was probably one other time that Stasya had seen him like this, but it wasn't when he had a smile on his face. It wasn't when they were fighting at Christmas last year, it wasn't when they had to face off against the old man on the rooftop-- no, the last time he was so focused was the time he had used a curse word since the first time he left Osaka.
With his arm still blazing, the student's attention has yet to leave Kain, just watching the other man like a hawk. He watches him dodge away from Himeko, from Stasya, and then come rushing in and whipping out a kick that should probably crush his face--
*whap*
And then, Kain R. Heinlein's foot was stopped dead in the left hand of a high school student. At this point, Kenji's left foot is raised from the ground a bit, the grin on his face only getting wider. "Yeah, that was it."
"BURST!!" It's the first thing out of his mouth. Kenji's body is suddenly full of movement, dodging himself to the left and right like he were a boxer. The edges of his body literally blur as he reaches out to grab at Kain's jacket and yank him off-balance, to his right. If he succeeds, it becomes a whole lot more...
His left arm sweeps forward in a hooking manner, his arm bending as though he were throwing one of his legendary Missile Fists-- but three at once. His right arm swings out in the exact same manner, then reaching out and pulling the man left. Three more strikes, pull, three more strikes, pull, three more strikes, pull, each blow raining in like his arms were suddenly machine guns. Throwing one last hard swing at Kain's face, he reaches in, pulls the white-clothed man in, and then shoulder-tackles like he were trying to plow the man over like a linebacker.
"FIRE!!"
"Oh shoot!!" Well Hime can't stop herself, even if she could just get one little tag it'd be good times! Well, that and if she stops moving, she's probably going to regret it because her body is just screaming right now. It is screaming 'Help!!'. How silly.. Who ever heard of a superhero crying for help! Luckily Kain doesn't bring a life-ending blow right then and there thanks to Ashima's big mouth! Hey, that's a -good- thing to have.
So once on her feet, Hurricane does a couple of backflips and hops from foot to foot, and then.. Aw maan look at that, it's the legendary missle fist! "AAAAAAAAAAWESOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME!!!!" the pink-clad fighter shrieks, jumping and clapping her hands in the air! "You're so -cool- Missle Fist! Yaaaaaaaay! .. Oh right."
Hime zooms forward, waiting for the right moment for the chaos to present an opening. And when it does she tries to keep him grounded by kicking at the back of his knee if he hadn't fallen, then leaps upward to get her arm around his neck for a good old-fashioned strangle hold!
Flipping back to her feet as Kain neatly avoids both her and Himeko, Stasya huffs out a breath of mingled admiration and frustration as Heinlein simply goes off to deal with Kenji. Winded, she nonetheless presses forward, an urgent "Kenji!" escaping her as Kain thrusts that powerful kick at her teammate--
--who stops it. Stasya halts in her tracks, amazed. The apparent moral of the story? Don't mess with a Kenji that looks this serious.
She's left to just stare for a moment, before she finally remembers herself, shaking off her surprise and refocusing on the fight. As Kenji and Himeko make their attacks, Stasya flits in between them, capitalizing upon an opening she spots at the last moment. Psi lances out from her hand as she attempts to slip it like a knife into the side of his throat, aiming to hit that specific pressure point in the side of his neck that'll lower his blood pressure and perhaps dizzy him enough the other two can connect their hits.

Kain gets knocked about in place by Kenji's repeated blows, before finally being dragged in then sent flying back by a shoulder slam. Even so, he might have stayed standing, if it weren't for Himeko driving her foot into the back of his knee just as he manages to come to a halt. His leg buckles underneath him and he falls to one knee, leaving him wide open for Stasya to clap her hand to his neck, driving the psi blade into his throat. That actually manages to get a gurgle of pain out of Kain... not possibly to do much else when your throat is being messed with.
It's going to take Kain a moment to get up at this point, after all he's been taking during this fight... so he doesn't even try to. Instead he reaches up in an attempt to grab Stasya by the wrist of the arm she used for her last attack. A blue glow surround his hand as he begins to squeeze down, using force to grind the bones of her wrist together. And he definitely doesn't hold back when it comes to the force involved. /Then/ he rises up, pushing Stasya aside by the arm as he does so.
After the final tackle, Kenji's hand lifts in the air and gives a large thumbs-down. "And that's what you get for messin' with the best thing outta Osaka!"
His grin is huge and proud, and at least in Kenji Ashima's mind, it's for a good reason-- it almost makes up for the way he went down in the last battle he engaged in with this man. The attacks that land from Himeko and Stasya are the icing on the cake for this moment he's so proud of himself-- and now he's looking at bringing the pain to his teammate one more time.
Pulling on his scarf, shaking it loose from his neck, the Missile Fist drops low and charges back in one more time.
"UrrrrAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA--"
With the mighty garment flying free in the air, Kenji focuses on their target one more time, bringing his arm back for a very familiar attack, one that didn't work once, but be damned if he'll let things settle with just that. His right arm launches ahead once he reaches 'punch' range, bending like rubber while his fist cuts a clear course to hook into the man's stomach this time. Hard as a rock, and intent on putting a stop to the mad Kane's reign of terror with the power of justice, the Missile Fist seeks to help save the day alongside his comrades for all time!
"ONE MORE!!"
Dropping onto her back and rolling away again after her assault, things are looking good, in Hime's opinion. Real good for the good guys! Though she's get to stay on her legs for the rest of this, see this to the end before she can drop to the floor and let her body get the rest it's begging for! SHe is disappointed with his lack of lines though.. Burnig Man was a -much- cooler actor. e_e
'And that's what you get for messing with the best thing outta Osaka!' Ashima cries.
"Yeah!! And for messing with Missle Fist Ashima as well!!!" Hime throws in, rushing forward this time with just a single playing card in her hand that takes a bright glow of it's own! Zooming forward and trying to match Ashima's steps, once she's in close range she swipes her arm upward, attempting to nail her foe with the trail of energy that follows it's motion! "OryaaAA!"

A pang goes through her at the sound she elicits with her attack... but she isn't given much time to feel too badly. Before she can pull back and get away, Heinlein seizes her by the wrist... and instantly begins to apply crushing pressure. The viselike grasp of his hand isn't even the worst of it, though; it's the chi that infuses her. The energy seems to burn her with an unnatural fierceness, compared to most other fighters in the world, and she jerks back inside his grip so suddenly she nearly pulls her shoulder right out.
She pales visibly, biting her lip to try to keep the scream in, straining back against his tethering arm in an attempt to escape; when Kain finally rises, discarding her to one side, she stumbles from the force of it and the sudden little boost given to her own momentum, landing painfully on her hip and skidding some distance away. Dizzily, she just stays right where she's fallen for some time, trying to push the pain out of her mind... but sadly, once her brain's clear enough to think straight again, the first thing that hits her is:
"T-that was so c-cool..."
Girls.
She's undeterred yet, still blind to Kain's more sinister aspects. After all, she reasons, it's not like he'd actively seek to hurt her -badly-, is it? It's not as if he'd try to -kill- her! He's just fighting to win, is all, and if he's going to win he can't hold back. For now, unwitting of Kain's true nature, Stasya is quick to forgive him. But she isn't quite so quick to let him off the hook, either...
And so, while Kenji and Himeko arrow in from the front, both seeking to nail Kain head-on, Stasya twists painfully back into a crouch... and stays where she is, her hands pressed against the arena floor. A flash of red energy disperses swiftly down her arms and into the stone, disappearing there... and then, just as the other two launch their attacks, a sudden forest of spearlike, lancing psi spires up from the ground directly behind Kain, seeking to cut off his avenue of retreat and push him forward. Should the man not be quick enough, it'll even tear right into him, impaling him from behind, with no compunctions: nothing held back.
Sometimes, Stasya can be a little ruthless too.

Hey now, Kain wouldn't try to kill Stasya! Not right now, anyway. He's got no reason to. He definitely doesn't hold back in a fight, though. Unfortunately, sometimes that's not enough. With both Kenji and Himeko leading the charge, Kain is forced to deal with both of them at once. One arm sweeps out to deflect Himeko's swing, while the other drops down in an attempt to block Kenji's incoming fist. The bending of Kenji's arm proves to be key, though, allowing him to slip past Kain's defenses and slam his fist into Kain's stomach.
The blond man starts to fall to his knees, but not before managing to lift up a hand toward Kenji. There's a sudden flare of blue light, then a surprisingly small sphere of blue chi appears in front of Kain's palm. Is he running out of energy as he falls? But then it starts to rapidly pulse before there's a blinding flare of light. The chi itself only engulfs a small area in front of Kain with its explosion, but the shockwave is enough to rip apart the set for the fight all the way to the edge of the arena. But what is the fate of the student standing in its path? And that's when Kain falls to the floor... perhaps for the best, as a split second later Stasya's energy lance stabs through the spot where Kain's back would have been.

His fist slams in home, digs in all well and good-- and Kenji knows it. His grin's faded a bit, replaced with resolve: He can win. He can do this. Only when the hand comes up and reaches toward him does he realize that there's something very bad about to happen-- and it, for lack of a better phrase, scares him half to death.
Bringing up his arms with a grit of his teeth, the explosion goes off before he can properly mount a defense. It can be heard through the flames-- the choked noise and the short, "Gyaagh--" before the sound overtakes him...
COMBATSYS: Kenji takes no action.

In the wake of the explosion and the shockwave, Kenji's battered body is already laid out on the ground well far away from the actual edge of the arena, almost smashed up into whatever barrier separates the ground-level seating from the battle arena. Kenji's alive, breathing, but his costume is utterly mangled... and yet he's ... smiling? It's very faint, with blood coloring the corner of his mouth and likely a concussion adding to his stupor.
"... s-sister ... ... hits ... ... ... ... harder..."
And then he's out like a light.
Hurricane Hime sure has been getting her fill of fangirls lately; granted, Marisol's fanaticism is considerably more obvious to the heroine than Stasya's. The only thing she can think right now is 'that girl ain't right'. Yeah, that's right. She heard that, even while Kain was pushing the spiraling girl away, causing her to stagger back a few steps upon landing. But then.. Then the incredible thing happens. Before she knows it, Kain falls... And he doesn't get up. But that isn't all, she's forced to look away, for some reason even her goggles don't help her from the blinding flash, and when it clears, 'Missle Fist' Ashima is on the floor. Bleeding and unmoving. "N- No..."
Hime gasps, her hands over mouth as she shakes her head. "No!! .. Ashima!" Her hands clench into fists as she rears back and cries to the sky, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASHIIIMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" Distressed, distraught, hurting, Hime staggers to Stasya, to try to grip the woman by her shoulders and give her a shake. "Why, Gedofabulous, why -him-?? He was so young!! Why not ME??? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy? WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!" The heroine lurches forward to weep into the dazzling, sparkling, blinged sidekicks bosom, shaking her head, "Noooooooooooooooooooooo-"
And then her head lifts, and she points to the girl, "By the way, all I wanted was just one. -One- 'jive turkey'. I would have even settled for a 'square man'. You're fired."
Looking up blearily, Stasya realizes that her attack came moments too late to connect. But it wasn't necessary after all, for Kain was already on his way to being out of the fight by the time she stabbed forward with those bristling psi spires. Exhausted, she lets the energy disperse, flopping back... but Kain isn't done yet. He's letting out one last attack, and Kenji is right in its path.
The girl tries to rise as the dust clears, wanting to see if Kenji's all right... but then, when she hears that typical defiant phrase, she relaxes and lets herself settle back with a faint smile. He'll be okay. If he's still taunting, he's still got life in him yet.
Relief quickly turns to aghast dismay, however, when Himeko abruptly throws herself towards Stasya. The Russian, caught by surprise, can only stare in abject horror for a few moments as Himeko puts on a good enough show for all four of them put together. Dumbfounded, she can't even think of anything to say... at least, not until Himeko recovers suddenly in order to deliver that ultimatum.
Stasya's grey eyes narrow. "Good," she states decisively, her lips thinning, as she scoots away from Himeko as fast as she possibly can. "Best news I have heard all day. Now if you don't mind, I shall go change to some -real- clothes." And with that, she peels herself away from Himeko, leaving it to the collective public imagination to wonder whether she even KNOWS what a 'jive turkey' is in the first place.
Himeko huffs and flails her arms at the retreating Stasya, "I'd just like to see you TRY! That's right, you run; well you can take the time-machine back BY YOURSELF! See if I care!"
Hime turns to face the crowd, and gives her moral of the story, "See, this is why the seventies was terrible." D:<
The End!
COMBATSYS: Himeko has left the fight here.
