Description: Staged in an abandoned warehouse, Maki faces off against the up and coming Zach and Kiyoko in a battle that could threaten to bring down the house! (Winner: Zach and Kiyoko)

An old, derilect warehouse. Not the type of place where you'd expect to see a fight happening. In fact, there are many places where you wouldn't expect to see a fight happening, but in this place, it's quite the opposite. It just so happens that this is the spot where a Saturday Night Fight is being held.
A rather bizarre location, but with all these old containers and other things to fool around with, it's the perfect place for a fight for those who like strange things like this. And it looks like it's gonna be interesting, since one of the first combatants here is Genryusai Maki, a veteran fighter on the circuit who's known for creative surprises of her own while she's fighting. She's taking on two opponents at once, but the bigger the challenge the better the fight it will be.
For now, the Bushin fighter is standing off in an open area warming up a little, waiting for her opponents to show themselves.
Zach slowly makes his way into the warehouse, casting about uncertainly. He had been told, in no uncertain terms, that the warehouse was going to be emptied and torn down after the match was over. He frowned a bit at that; it was if they were strongly encouraging Zach to cut loose, and help the demolition crews.
He pulls his hands out of his pockets when he sees Maki, and blinks once or twice. He tilts his head to one side, and then begins loosening up. Mentally, he is walking those pathways into his psyche to ready when he can call up of his energy. He gets the feeling that he may need it.
Entering only few moments after Zach is Maki's second opponent, the young Tai Chi fighter named Kiyoko. The purple haired schoolgirl seems to be in good spirits today, a smile set upon her face as she steps into the warehouse. She's quick to survey her surroundings, unsure of what's in all the boxes and crates, but sure that some of them will at least be useful as terrain, though that might be more advantageous to the ninja than herself.
She makes her way over to Zach and introduces herself, "Hi, I'm Kiyoko. Looks like I'll be you're partner for today," and then begins doing a few stretches herself, making sure she doesn't accidentally pull something in the middle of the fight.
[OOC] Kiyoko says, "I'll be faster from now on. I'm actually just waking up still."

Maki recognizes Zach, she gives him a glare and a slight frown as she says, "You may have a partner, but don't think it'll make things any easier on you." Her look softens a little as she looks to Kiyoko and says, "I don't know if we've sparred together before, but I can assure you that I won't go easy on you either." And with that, she immediately gets into her fighting position, her tonfa at the ready. She backs up a little, sizing up the whole situation at hand while awaiting her opponents and what their first moves will be.

Zach glances at Kiyoko, concern flickering across his face as Maki... comes off as bit of jerk. He blinks once or twice. "It appears so," Zach says to the Justice High student with matching hair before bouncing on the balls of his feet once or twice.
"It's never easy," Zach comments in Maki's direction before settling into what could pass for a horse stance. Purple light flares into existance around him as Zach prepares the proverbial keg. The energies whip around, kicking up a bit of dust as Zach prepares his first gambits.

Kiyoko nods her head to Maki as she speaks, "I wouldn't expect you to go easy on us. It'd be insulting if you thought you had to!" She gives both the Bushin ninja and her partner a small grin, and then resumes her stretches, needing only another moment to finish them up. Afterwards the student moves away from her partner, not because of the power that is suddenly flowing from him, but in order to jump up onto a stack of crates, giving her a high ground advantage and making it so Maki can't smack them both in the face with a single tonfa swipe.
Once up there she drops into a low fighting stance and looks over to Maki, watching her carefully and waiting to see which of them she's going to target first.

Kiyoko appears to be doing the same thing that Maki is doing, planning accordingly while waiting to see what happens next, while Zach appears to be focusing internally on gathering his power. Both of her opponents seem to be very intent on preparing for the fight as best as they can. Very commendable to Maki. After a moment of contemplation, Maki decides to choose her first target as Zach.
"Hope you're ready, because I am!" Maki says as she jumps back onto a nearby stack of crates, and then leaps off of them, flying directly at Zach and attempting to deliver the sole of her shoe directly to his face!

Zach is committed, and inexperienced in simply calling up his personal energies. He does not react in time to avoid the boot to the head, rocking back under the force of the kick. He frowns a bit. He really does not seem to be impressed with Maki's personality.
He uses to the force of the kick to roll back onto his shoulders, slapping both palms on the ground with considerable force before springing off the ground. He twists, spinning like a corkscrew as he rises, throwing his fists out to the side. That purple energy washes across both his feet and his hands, adding raw force to the strikes as Zach gives a yell of "RISING TACKLE!"
Seeing that she's relatively safe at the moment, what with Maki attacking Zach, Kiyoko has time to check the warehouse our some more. She hops up from her crates to high set of industrial shelving and looks about for something to use to her advantage. Soon enough she finds a stack of encyclopedias, which brings a grin to her features once again. "Ok, this ought to work." She lifts up one of the heavy books, pulls back her arm, and then flings it as hard as she can towards the Ninja. Maybe it wouldn't be as effective as trying to jump kick her, but she can still provide fire support while being hard to get to! Besides, wasn't the whole point of this location to make use of what was found inside?

As Maki lands, she turns to face Zach in anticipation, watching him carefully and awaiting his attack. She intends to move out of the way of the incoming fighter's attack, but Zach is too fast for her and she finds that he's hitting her with his attack before Maki can even react. As a result, Maki is sent staggering into the path of the thrown book, which strikes her in the head and sends her toppling into a nearby stack of boxes.
Fortunately, they don't come toppling down, which is good since Maki doesn't need any more of a headache than she's already got. In fact, speaking of headaches...
As Maki finishes catching her breath and shaking the dizziness out of her head, she spots a nearby old barrel, and manages to lift it up. It's a little heavy, but that doesn't stop Maki from hefting it up and then looking towards Kiyoko. "Here, catch!" Maki shouts as she throws it at the girl who just had Maki hit the books!

Zach spins to look at Kiyoko, thinking back to that match the two shared in that sauna not that long ago. Zach gets an idea. "Switch!" Zach yells as he leaps towards a pile of boxes. He sweeps one hand down toward Maki, almost as if he were throwing something.
A small sphere of purple-white psychic energy flies towards the Bunshin-Ryu fighter, scattering into motes of light upon impact. Whether it impacts Maki or pavement remains to be seen.
Kiyoko lets out a giggle as the book actually manages to find it's target. So what if her aim was off- teamwork made it happen! And Zach certainly was able to land a very powerful attack on the ninja, something that she's not going to take for granted. Before she can so much as pick up a second book, Maki has recovered and has found a much more dangerous weapon than the girl had. "Yeek!"
Without a second thought she jumps down from her high perch, getting back onto her original crates. A moment after she's gone the barrel smashes into her pile of books, making an ungodly racket as it bounces around the shelves before crashing back down to the ground. "Whew, that was close," She comments. Back to the offensive! Zach changes up the plans, firing off a blast of psychic energy at Maki, and Kiyoko seems to take the cue, now leaping forward at Maki with one leg extended, trying to kick her hard in the shoulder before kicking off and returning to her previous spot. "Hyah!"

She then turns her attention to Kiyoko and manages to deflect her away by using her tonfa to avoid being hit as hard as the attack could've been. Although the attacks do damage Maki a little, it's less than what could've happened had they stricken her.

Zach pulls back a single fist, before snapping it forward from the shoulder. As the punch closes for Maki's midsection, purple 'armor' rips into existance around the offending limb before bursting explosively on impact!

Kiyoko's flying kick is deflected by Maki's tonfa, but even given that small surface she's able to jump back. This gives her an advantage when the woman drops down to spin on her weapon, immediately leaping back into the air when she hits the ground and bounding out of range, showing off just now nimble she can be at times. That leaves Zach running at Maki preparing to punch the ninja, and Kiyoko back and away. Not willing to just hide, Kiyoko reverses her direction and moves up quickly to Maki again, waiting until Zach either misses or hits before loading her left arm across her chest and then straightening her elbow back out quickly, sending a fast sideways chop at Maki's forehead. "Hah!"

The Bushin Senpuu Kyaku is Maki's signature move, and very hard to dodge. So when Kiyoko avoids it, it really irks Maki quite a bit. But that's nothing compare to what happens next. She finds herself getting hit not once, but twice. First, she's hit in the head by Kiyoko, which leaves her dazed and unable to react properly to Zach's incoming punch, which knocks the wind out of her and sends her staggering backwards, this time collapsing onto the ground in a semi-crumpled position.
As Maki starts taking air into her lungs, while holding her head with one hand and her tonfa arm protecting her midsection, Maki attempts to get back onto her feet while taking an extra moment to focus on catching her breath.

Zach does not seem to be ready to slow down just yet, however. He moves in quickly, firing off an elbow strike to Maki's chin.
Zach does not stop there, however, continuing to step in before firing off a two-handed burst of psycho power aimed at Maki's midsection!
Kiyoko decides it's time to stand back as Zach rushes in to try a striking combination at Maki. Seeing his final burst of energy at her gives her a pretty good idea of what to do, however. Her right hand swings through the air in a slashing motion, green energy flaring up along her hand. The energy is left as crescent trail in the air, and that crescent then shoots forward at Maki as she tries to get her breath back. "Spring Blossom!"

The rest did Maki some good at this time. In fact, it did her such good that she's able to avoid the incoming projectile from Kiyoko with the greatest of ease, but then there's the issue of Zach and his one-two punch attempt. So Maki decides to try something rather unique for a change. She jumps up a little as the first punch comes at her, which does hit her a little, but not as badly as it could've hit had both punches landed, and she grabs Zach by the shoulders. With a yell, she somehow manages to flip him over and throw him into a stack of nearby boxes.
Landing on her feet, Maki takes a moment to take a few deep breaths to regain her pace, starting to feel her injuries getting her down a little, but not giving up. In fact, after getting Zach as good as she did, she's starting to feel extra motivated now.
Motivation is an admirable thing. Zach's life seems to be defined by it. After all, lack of it could prove fatal; if not for himself, then quite possibly those around him.
Zach slams into the stack, getting buried by crates for a moment. The boxes shift a bit later, then things are quiet. It is only the calm before the storm.
Shattered wood goes flying in many directions, scattered by the five foot wide column of energy that blasts from wreckage. The blast persists for a few moments, tearing through other crates before punching a hole in the far wall of the building. Cool spring air rushes in moments later, sending brief chills across the fighters.
It is only then that Zach fully extracts himself pile, grinning a bit. Nothing like a good entrance.
Kiyoko's shot of energy shoots past Maki harmlessly as it's avoided, blowing open a box of stuffed animals and sending them everywhere somewhere in the warehouse. The girl doesn't get discouraged by this though- it's surprising that Maki hadn't avoided more of her attacks so far. She winces as Zach is thrown into the boxes, but can't do much more than stare as he fires off a massive beam of raw power at Maki. "...wow." She shakes her head for a moment, not wanting to get anywhere near Maki while that thing is aimed at her. Not wanting to just stand there uselessly she picks up and old hardhat someone must have once worn here that was just laying on the ground, and tosses it at the woman. "You look like you could use some protection from that!"

Even in her injured state, Maki's reflexes don't seem to hold back on her. First, the hard hat that's coming at Maki? She dodges it with ease. And then there's Zach's incoming blast, which looks like it could hurt. But Maki's not intimidated by it in the least bit. She nimbly avoids it again, pulling back a little as she does so in order to get into a better vantage point. For now, she doesn't do anything, except stare at her two opponents while formulating a mental plan.

Zach, despite a lot of bruising and a punishing output of energy, does not seem ready to stop. He thrusts open palms out to his side, seemingly banishing the energy that was still gathered around him.
A pair of leaps gets Zach in close again, allowing the handyman to fire off a quick punch to Maki's midsection. He does not seem aggrevated by Maki's sudden burst of agility; he has no control over that. He can only control his own actions and reactions.
With Maki now getting her legs underherself and avoiding everything that's sent her way, Kiyoko is left with a conundrum. She was doing better when she was keeping a closer eye on the ninja, but right now Zach is rushing in in a way that could get him clobbered. She could try to rush in and run interference to prevent that... but in the end it seems she decides that he can take care of himself, instead taking a moments break for herself as Makiu did to watch the ninja and try to figure out what she's going to do next. "Be careful, Zach!"

With Kiyoko apparently taking the same strategy Maki is taking, the Bushin fighter focuses on Zach, who's got another punch aimed at her midsection. This time, though, Maki's a bit more ready for the incoming attack, and doesn't find herself getting the wind knocked out of her again. Instead, she uses her forearm to deflect the incoming punch aside.
%Now having taken care of the incoming attack, Maki immediately faces Zach and then twirls her tonfa a few times as if to warm herself up on the spur of the moment with it. And then, without warning, Maki immediately delivers a swift upwards strike aimed directly at Zach's chin!

Zach arcs through the air, his aggression finally costing him. He lands roughly on the floor, and considers the girl for a moment. Bad attitude or not, Maki knows what she is doing.
Zach takes in a deep breath, exhaling loudly as that vibrant purple energy flares back to life around the shorter man. He waits, knowing that A) Kiyoko has his back and B) He will see Maki's move coming from where he is at.

Even if Zach was careful, Maki seemed to be just too skilled for him to protect himself in that instance, the attack smacking him away. Kiyoko winces a little, but knows her decicion was still a good one. Because now she has the drop on Maki, and she leans forward and runs in at the ninja while Zach gathers his power. Thinking that Maki will need to keep her eye on him in order to stay safe from that power he's summoning, Kiyoko rushes in behind her and snaps out with a fast kick, twisting around backwards and shooting out with her right leg to try and club the ninja with her heel.

Maki sees that Zach is taking a breather while Kiyoko goes on the offensive, but Maki's choice of using her feet instead of sticking around proves to be her downfall... literally!
Maki is unable to avoid the incoming kick, and is sent down to the ground, landing face first. The only good thing here is that Maki didn't full make contact with the floor with her face, otherwise she'd need a good plastic surgeon afterward. As it is, Maki's rather dazed and looking out of it as she struggles to get back onto her feet. She has to use her tonfa to prop herself up, and even then that's not an easy task given how little strength she's got remaining. Hence the reason she's choosing to take another breather.

Zach notices that Maki is playing a defensive game, trying to drag the match out. Perhaps in an attempt to bring her greater experience to bear. Zach grins.
He can play this game too.
Zach hunkers down a bit, as if being weighed down by the energies he is bringing to bear. The random clutter around him is simply blasted away, clattering against piles, walls, and even the roof of the warehouse on occassion...

Uh oh. Fighting a much stronger opponent in a war of attrition probably isn't going to work out too well, in the end. Though she frowns a little, Kiyoko says out loud, "It's okay. If you let yourself get discouraged you'll only make it harder on yourself!" So with those words spoken she moves back in towards Maki while she seems dazed, striking out with a fast punch for the center of Maki's face. No, it's not really a Tai Chi strike in any way or form, but it's still effective, "Yah!"

It may not be a traditional attack, but it's not going to faze Maki that much either. The Bushin fighter immediately reacts with a swift block that deflects the punch while inflicting barely anything in terms of damage at all. She shakes her head as if to say, 'Nice try but no cigars,' before turning to look at Zach, who's been rather busy focusing on his internal power. It seems he may have some kind of plan in store, and whatever it is, Maki doesn't like it.
Given that someone who's taking a moment to summon their power like that is most likely planning a huge attack, Maki keeps a close eye on Zach, while awaiting what he might do next.

Zach's body shakes with the accumulated power. It is rare that he lets himself get built up like this, and he's never done it on purpose like this before.
Time to put all of that energy to use.
Zach waves Kiyoko off quickly before blasting towards Maki at a disturbing speed. As soon as he gets close, he skids to a halt. He grins at the taller girl for a moment, giving her a short wave. "Hi," says Zach.
Then all of that energy he had built up rushes out of him, blasting at Maki and knocking over the crates in the immediate area. The energy just keeps coming, however, eventually punching a hole in the roof before fading into nothingness.
Kiyoko pulls her fist back as it's held off by the tonfa, taking a step back to help get a lead on staving off a retaliatory strike that never comes. A quick look over to Zach lets her see the motion, and she nods to him, jumping back and away. He rushes into her and... "Woah." Kiyoko holds her arms up to shield her face from the brightness of the explosive 'attack', the incredible release of energy being so much more than she could ever hope to create herself.
But rather than just staying back like she was told she waits until the worst of it is over and then launches into a powerful series of attacks herself, leaping towards Maki and trying to land on her stomach before twisting around to bind her legs around the Ninja's neck. If she manages it she'd flip herself over and slam Maki down to the hard concrete floor, using the force of the impact to fling the both of them back into the air so that she can perform the small a second time, repeating this twice more before letting go and getting back up.

Let's just cut right to the chase, shall we? Maki's unable to avoid either of those, despite her best efforts to focus on what's coming at her. The combined force of both attacks leaves her battered and bruised, and barely able to stand after getting up. It's a wonder she even managed to get up, since as soon as she got back up, her legs began to buckle and sway, indicating that the end is definitely near... Or is it?
All of a sudden, a gleam of light appears in Maki's eye, and she rushes at Zach with full energy in her. If successful, she'll launch a tirade of tonfa strikes and kicks at her opponent. After that, though, she's definitely going down.

Maki's attack hits nothing but air, and the fighter drops to the ground, unconscious. But she's not exactly injured as she is humiliated that she lost to these two amateurs...
Now, to be fair, these 'two amateurs' are both promising fighters. Kiyoko is very graceful, efficient. Zach? Well, Zach has more energy than most people know what to do with. Glen has won more than a couple of fights that someone of his skill level should have no business winning.
He weaves through Maki's offensive, the girl's injuries no doubt slowing what should have been a nearly lethal strike. He frowns when Maki hits the floor, looking up at the hole in the roof he had made. He glances at Kiyoko as the building groans. He leans over to scoop the fallen ninja up. "We should get out of here," Zach says simply to the high school student.

ODROP::Maki heads OOC.
Kiyoko isn't injured, but with the effort she put out to attack Maki in the final attack she's left bent over and panting, doing everything she can to try and catch her breath. Lucky for her the combined effort was enough to finish Maki off, so she actually /has/ that moment, rather than being a sitting duck.
But then suddenly the building is groaning, and she looks around with a somewhat startled look. "Oh no, you don't mean?" She looks over to Zach, and then nods to him. She heads not for the door, but instead the hole in the wall he made earlier!
Zach nods sheepishly. "The turtling kinda got me mad," he answers. "Anyway, I don't think it's safe here." Zach shoulders Maki, slinging her into a fireman's carry before dashing after the younger girl. "Let's go!"
[OOC] Zach thinks that is a good stop; he needs to get to bed. ._.
