JESUS CHRIST, IT'S A LION!
But lions or not, there won't be any running off to get into any cars here, no no no. Tonight the SNF camera crews have set up on this plain not for another one of the many many many nature documentaries that get shot in the Serengeti, they're here for a fight! A number of tourists to the region have apparently had enough of nature's majesty and have lined up just outside an imaginary ring marked mostly by the location of the crew in the hopes of getting to see someone get the tar beat out of them.
One of those people who may get the tar beaten out of them is Taiyo's very own Sunshine Girl, Hinata Wakaba over in that imaginary corner over there, dressed for the occasion by wearing a tank top with a roaring lion face on the front as well as a skirt with a line of elephants, trunks to tails, along the bottom hem. The energetic girl is in the midgst of downing her famous fighting fuel mixture as a camera swings around to take her in.
The lion doesn't sleep during the day, and it's a good thing, since there would be no sleep for the lions if they were nocturnal. Because today, the Serengeti is the location of a big SNF match. A two-on-one handicap match, but the fighter being double teamed doesn't seem to mind it one bit.
That fighter is Maki Genryuusai, one of the best practitioners of the Bushin-Ryu Martial Arts, and always ready to prove her toughness however she can. Today, she's on location in the Serengeti, stretching out before the match against Hinata and Kiyoko begins.
The first thing that's probably thought of when someone talks about the Serengeti Plains are probably the lions, and the next would be the blistering heat. Hinata has done well to make sure she's wearing something comfortable, but her partner in today's match has not! But why? Because people who practice martial arts are supposed to show discipline! Besides, the cloth material her Tai Chi uniform is made out of breathes nicely, thank you.
It's time for Kiyoko's fourth fight, and she's ready to go, excited as always and luckily not as embarrassed as she was last week. The teen walks over to Hinata, thinking that she's likely a lot nicer than the last several people she's fought against, and gives her a smile. "Hi! I'm Kiyoko. Lets do our best, OK? Maki's tough, but we should be able to pull it off if we work together." Definitely a bit of a rookie, but at least she's not standing there starstruck, right?
As opposed to her partner, Hinata has lots and lots of experience in fights... and absolutely no experience wearing any sort of proper fighting uniform... unless you count the baseball uniform she wore last week. Her "Learn Saikyo at Home" kit only came with some books and DVDs.
It's also quite true to anyone who knows her that Hinata is incredibly nice, if somewhat questionable in her methods of showing it, evidenced by the number of friends who have bruises after she greets them. Lucky for Kiyoko, she's not that close to the energetic girl yet, "Hi, I'm Hinata! it's going to be great to be your partner today." She thrusts out the bottle of golden colored liquid that smells strongly of sugar and slightly of lemon that, should she choose to injest it, would be overwhelmingly sweet, "Why don't you try some of this? It'll keep your energy up for the match."
With greeting her team mate taken care of, Hinata turns toward her opponent, giving Maki a bright smile and a wild wave, "Let's have a good fight, okay?" She then pulls into her fighting stance, bouncing back and forth like an energizer bunny set to 'high.'

A bow and a smile from Maki, who takes a drink of what could possibly be Gatorade or something from a nearby fight doctor in order to quench her thirst and give her the extra energy she needs for the fight. She then gets into her fighting stance and says, "Two against one? This is gonna be a great match." She wipes her tonfa with her hand and then gets into her fighting position. "Don't hold back!"

Kiyoko is rather pleased to find Hinata as friendly as she guessed, and she takes a quick look at the drink before nodding, "Okay!" She takes a quick drink and does her best to keep a shocked look from her face before handing it back. "Wow, it sure is sweet, isn't it?" Hopefully that didn't come out sounding like an insult! She turns her eyes appraisingly to Maki as the both the ninja and her own partner move into their fighting stances, sliding into one of her own, left leg forward and straight and her other back and slightly bent, "Alright! I'm going to give it my best shot. Everyone do their best okay? This is going to be fun."
It looks like things are getting started! With everyone ready, there's absolutely nothing holding Hinata back and in a flash she's rushing out of a patch of high grass and out into the more open that was rather specificly chosen to keep the fight from being impossible to view by the folks at home. Just a few feet away from Maki, the girl kicks up off the ground into and impressive flip that sends her flying ridiculously high up into the air before she starts flying down, her leg fully extended and aimed right for her opponent. "Let's go!"

As Hinata's kick comes at Maki, she raises her tonfa and attempts to poke Hinata's leg with it, knocking it away. Unfortunately, it doesn't exactly have the effect Maki hoped it would, and she still ends up getting hit in the side of the face with her foot. At least it wasn't as bad as it could have been, but still. Oh well, it's just the beginning, anything can happen.
Seeing Hinata fly into action against Maki and come out on top despite a counterattack bolsters Kiyoko's morale, and she rushes forward. It might not have been much, but it was definitely enough to show the fight was off to a promising start, so why should she do anything other than get in on it herself? "Good job, Hinata!" She cheers, getting in quick despite remaining on the ground. Once she's close to Maki she rolls forward onto her hands and attempts to wrap her legs around shorter womans neck, trying to hook her ankles together around the back of it before putting all of her weight backwards, trying to lift Maki up and off the ground before slamming her down onto her back, trying to roll back to her feet in the same motion.
The tonfa hitting Hinata's leg is enough to throw the leg out of commision for the landing, causing a rather awkward drop, but it doesn't stop her from doing a quick flip back to her feet and giving Maki a great big smile. "That was a great move, I'm going to have to try even harder!" Following her partner's assault, Hinata rushes forward, regardless of result, and starts firing off an incredible barrage of punches that move faster than the eye can see, leaving behind a faintly flesh-toned trail of multiple arms in the trail before she launches out one final thrust of her fist, a colorful burst of sunflower shaped chi exploding out of it.

Maki braces herself for Kiyoko's incoming throw, which means she's barely moved away from where she is, and it doesn't really faze her. Unfortunately, her choice of defense leaves her vulnerable for Hinata's incoming barrage of punches, and it does hurt. Maki is sent staggering backwards and is forced to take a moment to shake the stars out of her head.
"All right, I'm done warming up," Maki states as she recovers from the impact and turns to face Hinata. Without wasting a beat, Maki drops down so she's pretty much balancing on the tip of her tonfa, and then spins around rapidly in a human whirlwind, except with a kick added!

As Kiyoko leans back, Maki doesn't budge. Maybe the pressure strains her neck a little, but even that probably won't hurt her very much- Kiyoko doesn't really weigh that much! At least it seems to give Hinata a free moment to pummel the ninja while she's otherwise occupied though, which if nothing else helps make the Justice student look a bit less foolish standing on her hands like that. She rolls back down to her feet and looks a little sheepish- just in time to see her partner get blasted with a crazy spinning kick!
"Hinata, are you okay? That looked like it hurt!" She knows the girl probably wasn't -too- shaken up by it though, she's probably a lot tougher than she looks, so she continues onward. She steps forward and twists at the hip, right leg lifting off the ground and striking out quickly for Maki's side, "Yah!"
That kick definately hurts. The force of it sends the light-weight Hinata flying backward, rolling across the plain for a good ten feet before she finally manages to come to a stop, quite impressively on her feet still. Admittedly it's a very shakey position and Hinata wobbles back and forth in the manner of a cartoon drunkard before she can get her balance back. "Ow... you've got strong legs."
But this is a fight, not playtime! Or at least you could say this if it wasn't exactly this that Hinata tends to do with her free time (admittedly not in Africa). The girl is quick to move back toward the offensive, lunging it at Maki from the opposite side as her partner, throwing out a high kick aimed right for the ninja's head while giving the cameras the sort of flash of her undergarments that has made Hinata some less wholesome fans.

Once again, Maki brings her guard up to block, and it works well against Kiyoko, but Hinata gets lucky once again and is able to strike Maki right in the head. And no, the panty flash doesn't work, since Maki wasn't looking at that. But for now, that's not the worst of her issues. The worst off is that she's in a bit of a daze right now, having two opponents against her that shouldn't have been so tough.
Maki gets back into her fighting stance and observes the two schoolgirls, waiting to see what will happen next.

Kiyoko's foot mashes into Maki's well prepared guard, but Hinata once again seems to be able to slip her own past. Wow, maybe they really do make a good team! Of course being on the opposite side of Maki when her teammate attacks puts her in the unfortunate position of finding out just why those non family-oriented fans were made, tinting her cheeks a light red, though she does her best to pretend she didn't notice. The girl seems content to let Maki back off for a moment, looking her over and trying to visualize how Hinata was attacking to see just how she was managing to land those hits. "Good job, lets keep this up!"
COMBATSYS: Kiyoko focuses on her next action.
There doesn't seem to be any hint of embaressment across Hinata's face, merely a great big smile at having successfully landed such a clean blow. Even before Maki has a chance to pull herself together, Hinata's already pulling back, rolling up into a tight ball as she moves backward across the plain to open up plenty of ground and then popping back up into her bouncy fighting stance only to find... nothing. Well, at least no sign of being attacked. This seems like as good a time as any to the energetic school girl to change things up a bit, bringing her hands back toward her side and cupping around a tiny spark of golden chi that starts to grow as she sends it flying forward. The ball of chi continues to grow until it's nearly the size of a basketball by the time it leaves her hands and goes launching through the air, straight toward Maki and blossoming out into another sunflower quite explosively.

As the blast of chi comes at Maki, the blonde haired ninja girl stands ready to move out of the way. But her timing is a bit off, and she's hit rather hard in the side, sending her tumbling to the ground. Several onlookers are forced to jump out of the way literally to avoid being tripped by the incoming Maki.
After taking a moment to shake off the dust, Maki feels the side of her stomach for a moment, and lets out a noticeable 'ow!' as she does so. It's obvious she's been hit hard that time, but she's not going to lay off that easily. Instead of taking on Hinata, though, she switches her focus to Kiyoko. Taking a few running strides towards Hinata's teammate, Maki suddenly thrusts her tonfa to the ground and then uses it to propel herself forward with a kick aimed right at Kiyoko's stomach.

Kiyoko's rather well trained at keeping herself safe and protected, but even that can only help you so much when you've got someone as skilled as Maki coming after you. Luckily she's been keeping a good track of how she fights so far, and thus she seems all too ready when the Bushin ninja rushes towards her with the kick! However, she's going to forgo the attempts to hop out of the way or divert the attack, and instead does something her parents really wouldn't approve of.
The kick smashes into her stomach and drives her backwards, but because she was ready she manages to stay on her feet, Maki kept at point blank range. Using this to her advantage her right hand suddenly whips up in front of herself in a slashing motion, green energy surrounding it and forming a crescent in the air, one which immediately shoots forward right at, and hopefully into, the ninja!
Practically the moment the chi burst comes into contact with Maki, Hinata is sprinting forward again, using the change in attention toward Kiyoko to her advantage and attempting to lunge in from behind as she tries to get the ninja scissored into a pincer movement. Her fist goes flying forward as the burst of energy goes off from the front, the fist aimed dead on for Maki's backbone just below where it meets the ribs.

In an effort to avoid the incoming projectile, Maki zigs when she should zag, and is struck by the attack, sending her staggering once again. In doing so, however, she moves completely clear of Hinata's punch, for better or worse. As she gets her bearings once again, she steps back a little and takes a quick swig of Gatorade once again, before taking a moment to catch her breath.

"Looks like we're keeping the pressure up! Looks like that's what we've gotta do if we're going to win." Kiyoko smiles over to Hinata as Maki takes a moment for herself to get herself re-hydrated. And after saying something like that it wouldn't make sense to just hang back, would it? Nope! The girl doesn't hang back, instead moving forward to try and pressure Maki some more, green energy forming around her hands as she steps forward and swings at the ninja, her hands moving around in complicated arcs that bring her hands close enough to strike with the green energy, without making contact themselves. And if the energy weren't there, it'd be an invigorating Tai Chi workout- what a bonus!
"Alright then, Let's go!" Hinata seems plenty ready to agree with her partner, and none too willing to give Maki too much chance to recover from the assault currently being forced onto her. Her own attack is nothing so elaborate as the one flowing with chi coming in from Kiyoko, but one would hope that its benefit is in its simplicity. A mere blink of the eye after Kiyoko's hands burst with energy, Hinata's hands thrust out to grab hold of Maki by the arm, twisting around on her heel and then slinging her up and across the shoulder and straight into the ground if she succeeds.

The complex maneuvers from Kiyoko hit nothing but air as Maki gets out of the way of the incoming attack, and Hinata's attempt to throw her is pretty much grounded once again, since Maki absorbs most of the impact and prevents the schoolgirl from being able to throw her. Without waiting for a reaction, Maki swings her tonfa sideways at Hinata's face.

It doesn't do much to win a fight when you're trying to beat up the atmosphere! Unfortunately for Kiyoko this is exactly what ends up happening, as Maki nimbly shoots out of the way and leaves her energy dissipating into nothingness. This time her attack doesn't even seem to give Hinata the time she needs to beat Maki up, so the effort was truly wasted. It's no time to sit down and complain about it though, since Maki is trying to bash her partners face in with a tonfa. She rushes after her and balls up a fist, trying to smack the ninja in the back of the head with a quick jab. Maybe it'll distract her!
Well it looks like the pincer strategy can only go so far before it hits a wall, and that wall is now. This wall is also complicated by the piece of weapony wood attempting to wail on Wakaba's head. Hinata pulls herself back into her proper stance following the throw with just enough time to bring her arms up in front of her and hold off most of the blow, still getting knocked back a few inches and kicking up dirt with her super awesome sneakers. Sneakers that are about to try to get more personal with Maki.
There's a sudden surge of energy flowing up from the small girl as a grin spreads out across her face, aimed right at the ninja, "Alright! Looks like it's time to heat things up a bit." The school girl dances back and forth a bit before blasting up into the air, bringing her leg around as it gets sheathed in brilliant chi energy, flickering in all sorts of different colors as Hinata starts to spin around and around, the force of it kicking up an storm of dust as she starts to lift up off the ground like a helicopter, each hit tracking higher and higher until the final one comes in aimed right for Maki's head to end the tornado action.

Maki's attempts to defend backfire, even when she utilizes her signature maneuver on Hinata. It's two hard hits and Maki is sent down to the ground. It looks like she's out for the count and Hinata and Kiyoko are the victors.
Or are they?
Just before the referee signals for a knockout, Maki jumps back onto her feet. Albeit bloodied and bruised, Maki's still got some energy left within her, and she's not going to give out just yet.
Kiyoko's punch smacks solidly into the back of Maki's head, and then a moment later the ninja gets beaten and bloodied by a crazy energy empowered spinning kick sent her way by Hinata. Watching the attack, Kiyoko can really only stand back and admire it. "Wow..." Despite the incredible force it must have carried with it, Maki still somehow manages to get back to her feet, taking the girl somewhat by surprise. "She's still up? Jeeze, guess some people don't know when to quit-" A smile, "We'll have to be extra careful, now!"
Sometimes people don't know when to take their own advice. Kiyoko Is anything but careful, moving in quickly towards Maki after she gets back to her feet, holding her hand out flat with her thumb folded under, striking out with the edge of towards Maki's throat. That oughta keep her down, if it hits!
With her attack finished, Hinata comes back to the ground slowly, finishing off the final spiral by slamming her foot back into the ground, a wide grin spread out across her face. "That should do it!" Of course, then Maki manages to get back up to her feet, met momentarily by a look of shock on the girl's face before the smile returns even wider. "Wow, you're really tough, I guess I'll just have to try a little harder!"
It's nothing fancy from Hinata, she merely hops a few steps to the side and then charges in from a slightly different angle to give Maki even more to worry about. Her leg comes flying up, aimed to send her foot flying into the ninja's side to keep the high and low game going.

Maki uses her newfound agility to avoid Kiyoko's incoming punch with the greatest of ease, but she can't get out of the way of Hinata's kick. Or, she can in a sense. She moves the wrong way and gets hit, but it's only a small hit, meaning she doesn't feel too much pain. Nonetheless her energy is starting to run low, so it's time to shift into overdrive.
Maki stares at Hinata for a second, and then Kiyoko, attempting to decide who to go after next. Without warning, Maki does a backwards somersault and then springs off of a nearby nondescript object that's large enough to support her. She then flies directly at Hinata at an insane rate of speed, with her right foot extended in a flying kick type attack.

Whiff! The throat chop shoots past as Maki skillfully gets out of the way. Hinata has a little more luck, though only a bit, so it looks like they're going to have to keep at it. Little surprise- Maki is one tough customer! Thing is, Kiyoko's pretty good at telling how far gone people are, and from the looks of it it's going to take little more than a light wind to knock Maki over at this point. And since she knows that, why try to do anything elaborate?
Not long before she decides on her course of action, the ninja flips backwards and then springs forward towards Kiyoko's partner. Hoping that Hinata can take care of herself, she rushes in behind the ninja, hoping to make use of any moment of rest she has to use after such a powerful strike to send a heel strike into her lower back- that little gust of wind.
There's really no opportunity to give up a cheer for the hit, light though it may be, because it's quickly met with Maki's response... a kick that sends the girl rolling and tumbling backward across the open ground an incredible distance. In fact the girl only comes to a stop as she collides with a nearby rock outcropping, with her feet in the air and her head on the ground. "Ouch..." But the girl shows her stuff with that as she manages to roll back up onto her feet and keeps on smiling. "That was incredible!"
Regardless of the distance, though, she's not about to get left out this turn, finding herself yet again charging in as fast as she can and blasting up high into the air with the sun behind her, then hitting the ground with a roll a few feet in front of Maki before bouncing up with a punch aimed right for her stomach.

Hinata punches the air, and Maki absorbs Kiyoko's punch. But she's really running out of steam right now. Even with her second wind, she's finding it hard to breathe right now. So she steps back and takes a moment to focus on increasing her chi.

It looks like Kiyoko's idea that a stiff wind would knock Maki over wasn't quite correct, though. The girl takes a step back, expecting some sort of retaliation as the woman evades Hinatas high flying attack and simply takes the brunt of her own. When it doesn't come, Kiyoko gets a look of confusion on her face. "Um... what are you trying to do?" She realizes what Maki is doing... but what she doesn't understand is why. Giving a little shake of her head, hoping that this doesn't mean the ninja has some super secret plan, she backs up again and swings her arm through the air, creating a crescent of energy that shoots towards Maki.
When her fist meets air, it clearly demands a change of strategy from Hinata. "You're a lot harder to stop than I was expecting, you've got a lot of skill!" The girl pulls back a few paces as her partner lashes out with a surge of energy, then kicks up into the air into a wide whirlwind motion that sends her shoe flying straight off of her foot in at the side of Maki's head.

Maki uses her defense once again, but this time she's run out of strength, and it looks like this time she's out for good. But just as her staggering around finishes, she suddenly snaps her head up and looks directly at Hinata, her eyes wide and full of energy. Without warning, she dashes at the schoolgirl, attempting to deliver a flurry of tonfa strikes and kicks that should leave an impression hopefully.
But whether it hits or not, Maki's going down after this...

The quick burst of energy crashes into Maki, and even though she's able to protect herself from it's full power, it's still enough to finish what little is left of her. There's nothing she can do to help Hinata with Maki rushing at her, though, so she just stands back and tries to cheer the other girl on. "Comon, Hinata, you can do it!"
With the ninja practically down for the count, Hinata is ready for some super awesome final assault, and then the tonfa's start flying in... The school girl immediately drops and sends her leg flying in through the wave of strikes, ignoring the hits it takes to send a powerful kick right into the ninjas chest with enough force to send her flying nearly a dozen feet right up into the air in a long arc before she comes back into contact with the ground.
When the ninja girl doesn't get back up, the SNF official announcer quickly calls it in favor of Hinata and Kiyoko, to be met with a whoop of victory joy from the Taiyo girl.
