SNF 2007.12 - Ryo vs Himeko/Camille/Ayame

Description: A battle supreme within New Y- I mean Metro City Library, Hurricane Hime and her AMAZING FRIENDS Ayame and Camille team up to teach Ryo a thing or two about getting your read on. It's a match so wacky and hardcore that there are more critical reactions than you can shake a stick at! But then once Ryo manages to pull through, here comes a new challanger?? (Winner: Ryo)

Whoever set up this venue must hate libraries. Of that Ayame is certain. Why else would they stage a likely destructive battle inside the large main hall of the Metro City Public Library? It makes for an impressive backdrop, to say the least. The massive, high ceiling'd chamber is completely open, designed to not require support pillars in the middle. Along the two long walls are book shelves filled with books of all size and color. From the ornate wood-carved ceiling hang impressive chandlers and while the center aisle is cleared and the room vacated of normal patrons for the purpose of the upcoming battle, many of the wooden tables remain along the outskirts of the stage.

Ayame takes in the environment quietly, making mental notes about how to best take advantage of it. The venue has her teamed up with someone she already has experience with as a partner, Camille, and a second parter that... well, she knows the little Hurricane, even if last time they were in a fight together it was against each other! But the girl considers these appearances almost a kind of job and has yet to develop any personal grudges against the other fighters she's met in them. That could always change, of course.

Their opponent is the heavy hitter, Ryo Sakazaki, one of the primary practioners of the world famouse Kyokugen Karate. Leaning against a six foot long titanium pole that serves as one of her many weapons, the girl taps her Doc Martin boot clad foot idly, looking a bit restless. Getting crunched by some kind of raving brute doesn't sound like her idea of fun. Standing up straight, she takes a practice swing with her staff to stretch out her muscles and ends up sending one of the lamps on a nearby table flying to the floor with a loud crash that echoes along the chamber. "Whoops," the girl blinks, looking a bit sheepish at the disruption in the otherwise nearly silent vault.

Hate libraries? Or LOVE them?? For at least one of the fighters of the group has fought in one before, and it was more than just a success.. It was an -epic- success in one particular girls mind. If Ayame was alone, it wouldn't be for much longer, following the sound of the lam crashing to the floor is the pitter patter of footsteps. ".........mmmmmmmmmmm"

Hurricane Hime is pretty pysched. It's not often she gets to fight in her own natural environment, and not only that, this is a great chance to reach out for REALS to millions of viewers; not just Ryo Sakazaki her opponent! "mmmmMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!"

The girl, clad in a pink bodysuit and a dark-green fannyback comes blazing along the upperlevel balcony, with her black scarf flapping wildly behind her and she makes a mighty leap over the banister, twisting her hips to perform a mid-air reverse roundhouse; a perfect kodiac moment of coolness as she cries, "MORTALS!!!" A flip and a sudden slam to the floor, the little bookworm heroine strikes a pose that would make even the most sentai of sentai warriors proud as she introduces herself to the crowd and the cameras with a mighty, "HURRICANE... HIMEEEEEEE IS HERE! And.. Her AMAZING FRIENDS!" ~_~

Actually, she doesn't recognize Ayame.

Camille has no particular love /or/ hate for libraries; indeed, she feels the whole concept of her current fight is a little ridiculous and maybe even just a touch on the side of 'disrespectful.' It's a library, not an arena -- it's not even particularly set up /for/ a fight! It's just... a /library/! Think of all those potentially-rare, potentially-valuable books! Clearly this is a little wasteful.

However, she knows better than to complain about that, considering that the person who books Saturday Night Fight, or at least profits from said booking, is also her boss. As such, she heads into the library... just in time to hear Hurricane Hime screaming about herself and her "amazing friends."

Sigh. This is not an excellent situation -- she knows /one/ of her partners, but her other partner is perhaps less... confidence-inspiring than she had hoped. (Camille has an unfortunately dry, British sense of humor.)

Let's get something straight first:

Ryo Sakazaki actualy knows how to read. While being easily percived as a brainless musclehead, he actualy HAVE a fair amount of neurons in that thick skull of his! As such, this SNF is a little...insulting, but he should have not expected better from Geese.

Despite this, it's still a fight, the potential of finding some good opponments is always a strong lure for him. He's also very strong on ridiculously needless extreme entrances, which explains the following:

The mighty roar of a Harvey Davidson bike can be heard suddenly as the doors of the library slams open. Ryo Sakazaki plows inside with his bike, rolling a few distances away on the rear wheel before streetching to a stop, streaking and making some unfortunate mark on the carpet.

The Kyokugen Master defiantly jumps off his beloved bike, pushing up the travel goggles to his forhead, grinning. "Hey, there! Looks like it's the place!"

Unlike Camille, Ayame finds Himeko amusing. As the small fighter makes her brazen entrance, the staff weilding girl simply waits patiently, mouth curled into a faint smile. "You really have a thing for preaching to mortals," the girl remarks offhandedly, "You must have a ton of fans." The thin girl stands up straight, lifting the staff up to bounce it lightly against her shoulder. Camille arrives and the girl gives the red-head a nod of recognition. She still isn't sure what to think of her, but is more than content to maintain a perception of friendliness all the same. They DO work together after all.

And then comes Ryo, the raving brute of the match, facing down three girls with his Kyokugen Might. But as the karate master comes wheeling in on a motorcycle with perhaps completely unintended disrespect for the hallowed sanctuary of learning, Ayame quirks an eyebrow in surprise. He doesn't /look/ like what she expected. And she likes his entrance.

"Nice bike," the girl remarks, right hand coming up to brush some of her hair back over her ear. "You're just in time." Brown eyes scan the young man up and down, studying him thoughtfully. He's kind of attractive for a meathead!

The little Hurricane does a couple of leg stretches real quick and wastes little time in getting into the mood of the current mission. Actually, she was already in it, just doing a little double-checking. She catches sight of Camille and her eyes widen upon seeing the rather large sword she's toting. Her lips move in a silent 'wow', broken from her spell once Ayame speaks up. She actually looks blank for a moment, and then embarassed as she rubs the back of her head, "O- Oh that, well you know.. Books are forever, so I thought it'd be good to have immortality myself, it's only suitable right? Though er.. Fans.. I'm pretty sure I do I need to check on that.. Hmmn."

Actually it should be a no-brainer. She should have millions of fans! She'd better check the polls just to be sure. And it's just then that Ryo bursts in on his hog, making the heroine leap up and back in suprise. "Zoun-- W-- Wait! Hey! Hey hey hey hey! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" Hime jabs an accusing finger to the kyokugen fighter whom actually seems alarmingly familiar for some reason but she just couldn't quite put her finger on it. Hmmmn. HMN. "Are you absolutly mad?? Don't you know what the chemicals spewing out of that vehicle will do to these books? You truly are uneducated, this is a scenario of utter disaster!"
After a moment of heavy panting, Hime relaxes, sets her hands on her hips and shakes her head. "Man oh man oh man. I suppose you'll have to learn the hard way, it's going to be an all nighter for certain."

COMBATSYS: Himeko has started a fight here on the left meter side.

There are good uses of a motorbike, and then there are bad uses of a motorbike. Camille considers driving them on a carpet in a library a very bad use of a motorbike, and reflexively dives low to the ground and to one side. "What the -- are you /serious/?!" she yells at him, apparently a little shocked at the complete and total impropriety of driving a bike indoors.

She seems to be fairly distracted from her teammates, though she gives Ayame a little nod back -- professional courtesy, rather than any particular strong feeling for her colleague. Getting back to her feet, she keeps staring in a mixture of surprise and worry at Ryo, getting herself ready for the inevitable ridiculous library battle to come.

Drawing her sword, she hefts the heavy weapon, finally acknowledging Himeko again with a little smile. At the very least, she seems to have noticed that little 'wow.'

"Hey, thanks." Sakazaki lets out at Ayame's direction, grinning. He appreciate anybody that says good things about his good ol' motorbike. He did put all of his soul into that beauty when he rebuilt it from scratch -- it's satisfying to know that others see the awesomeness of the vehicle!

However, the two other girls seems not to be too expressive. "Uh...I can't say that I /knew/ that part but, it can't be that bad, can it? I mean, c'mon, it wasen't even five second--"

And then the OTHER girl freaks out too. "Hey! Yes! Yes I was serious! I DID come in right on time, now, didn't I?" Ryo lets out, flexing his knee and thursting out his arms outward, taking his trademark, world-renowed Kyokugen battlestance. "Then come and show me, if you want, girl!" He snaps out at Himeko's direction, taking a deep breath...and watch for now.

Watching and learning. Thoses are the best thing to do before smashing into a battle. Not for too long, because then you just become a jerkwad.

The long haired strawberry-blonde regards Himeko a little quizzically. "Sure, that makes sense." she lies with a smile just before the pink clad wonder chews Ryo out for his disruptive entrance. Oh boy, this is going to be something all right. "I guess Ryo heralds from the school of hard knocks. You'll have to show him whatfor, Hurricane Hime." The thought of seeing the four foot tall girl trying to do anything at ALL to Ryo amuses the girl, so urging her on is definitely the thing to do.

All right then, let's get this done! The match is firing up and Ayame is good to go. Lifting her staff off her shoulders, she grips the polearm tightly in both hands and regards the Kyokugen master carefully. "Hope you're ready. You seem like a nice enough guy, but there's nothing friendly about a fight." Especially not with some Claymore swinging red-head against him!

And then she's off, making a direct charge toward Takuma's boy, spinning her metal staff up over her head before slamming it down hard at an angle for his left leg, trying to break his stance and leave him open for a second swing from the right as Ayame twirls once, driving the opposite end of the weapon into his rib cage if he isn't careful.

Of course it makes sense, she thought of it! So with 'Ayame's' praise, Hime would actually be positivly beaming as a result. But instead she's just feeling sorry for, and maybe even a little mad at, Ryo. Yeah, so he's a big guy, and she's a small girl, but she doesn't seem the slightest bit intimidated or lost, she knows what she's doing more of less! "You bet, I'm going to give this guy the ol' whatfor and whatnot GO!"

WHOOSH! Hurricane is darting toward Ryo now, "So you want me to show you something? But I'll also TEACH you something, listen close! You can look this move at the end of nine-zero-zero to nine-ninety nine!" It's even possible the little heroine blazes past Ayame to suddenly leap into the air and deliver a high snap kick hopefully toward Ryo's chin, "The Dewey Decimal Classification KICK!"

Watching Ryo carefully as he tries to play a smarter game for once, Camille takes a firmer grip on her sword, now more confident that she wants to use it as part of her opening gambit; she definitely tends to neglect it sometimes, using it more for intimidation factor than any genuine advantage.

A little more reticent about attacking than her comrades, Camille waits for both of them to decide on a body part to work before coming in herself. Ayame seems like she's working the legs and the body, and Hime has the head covered... so naturally, it falls to her to pick what she thinks will do the most damage to Ryo to /keep/ working. In her mind, the body is probably the best -- Ryo doesn't seem to rely too much on his footwork or (frankly) his brains, after all.

She ducks low, raising her sword high as she gets ready to charge -- and then she's off like a shot, speeding across the library floor with a hard, rushing slice right for Ryo's chest. Fortunately, she doesn't /immediately/ hit any books.

COMBATSYS: Ryo blocks Ayame's Medium Strike.

A stupid man would have rushed in, not blinking, screaming incoherently something about the three scholarly ladies' mother and start smashing up everything in range.

Ryo Sakazaki, not being stupid, actualy remains on the defensive, waiting for them to all charge down at him. He keeps a focused look, eyes narrowed and flicking back and around to keep close tabs on his three opponments. They must be rookies, but even many rookies are things to not be understimated. They have this thing when facing an overwhelming foe: suicidal do-or-I-don't-I-lose-nothing mentality that can get quite dangerous. The foolish ones, anyway.

But they're smart, so...it shouldn't happen.

Ryo keeps his ground, bracing himself for the incoming onslaught. Ayame's staff strike is blocked by bringing his arm down to block it swiftly, Himeko's chin kick soaked without much visible pain and recoil...to finish, Camille's sword seems to deal the most damage, actualy managing to draw some blood from Ryo's blocking forarm. Not too much.

"Hrmph." The Raging Tiger lets out, taking a step back. "Very good! You girls have a lot of potential in fighting, I've got to admit! C'mon, let me show you some KYOKUGEN MOVES!"

Ryo suddenly goes from defense to offense, bouncing toward Camille and reach an hand for her shoulder, punching another at her waist, let himself fall and throws her back, using his knee to add more momentum.

Ryo takes the attacks from all three of them, defending himself remarkably well. Ayame doesn't even go for the second strike she had planned when her staff rebounds off of his forearm with a solid thud. This is going to take more than just a mob mentality to overcome, it would seem. He's serious business.

Backing off and bracing behind her weapon for a moment, she nods her head slightly at the compliment given. So this is what it's like to fight a master of a discipline as opposed to all of the learners and neophytes she normally picks on. The difference is staggering.

Unfortunately, Ryo is about to see another side of the girl's impromtu fighting style. One far sharper than the staff. With him going after Camillie, may God rest her soul, Ayame collapses her teloscoping staff down to a half-foot in length and slides it into a pouch at her side. Her right hand pulls a small coil of wire thin cable from one of her belt loops while her left hand fishes out a pointed weight from the pouch hanging from her belt. Quickly she assembles her rope dart, keeping her distance for just a moment.

COMBATSYS: Ayame focuses on her next action.

A very educational blow, if the little Hurricane didn't say so herself, though when she backs off a little and sees the result of the following attacks, she seems a bit.. Suprised. And then completely taken aback, as shown in her huge step backward and the little ends of her bandanna standing straight up, "WHAA-HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT??!!"

Also, watch out, Camille!

"Oh geez, now it all makes sense.. The unkempt gi, the slightly low common sense, and sloppy fighting style, my sensei's told me plenty about you, and it didn't click in until now!" Hurricane Hime jabs another finger forward to point at Ryo, the other on her hip as her dark scarf flaps behind her. "If you're going to even hope to win this match, you'd better start off with a winning style! Might I suggest 'How-to Subdue the Saikyo-Ryu within You' (There are at least five copies here; I checked)!" Hime strikes a quick pose, then sprints forward, leaps, tucks into a ball and rockets diagonally toward Ryo upon his decent mid-throw. "Learn winning moves such as Justice Rolling!"

COMBATSYS: Ryo successfully hits Camille with Tomoe Nage.

Camille gets that nasty rolling throw of Ryo's dead-on, putting her sword on her back just so in an attempt to make rolling a little easier. It works, but only just -- she still lands hard, and the awkward positioning of the blade grinds the flat into her back a little more than she might like. Sitting up slowly, she groans and says, "Bloody /hell/," in perhaps the most stereotypically British moment of her life.

Eventually getting back to her feet, she rolls her neck slowly and tries to work out a couple of fresh kinks in it. Rushing at Ryo, Camille aims a foot right for his chest in what looks like an easily-caught, inefficient kick to the sternum.

If Ryo falls for that bait, though, he'll find that that was nowhere /near/ the case. The kick is a feint, designed to allow Camille to 'step up' onto Ryo with that foot and then whip her /other/ boot up into the back of the Kyokugen fighter's head.

COMBATSYS: Ryo endures Camille's En Passant.

Ryo stop paying attention to Ayane -- but not completly. He knows that she's doing something, planning something, but for now, there is far more pressing matters to attend to.

Like some crazy swordwoman kicking him in the sternum and slashing him with her thinly veiled 'feint'. Sakazaki simply takes and suffer the hit. He could have dodged it, but it would have been risky and possibly made it even worse, anyway.

Then...there is Himeko.

"Whu--what!?" Ryo lets out indignantly, flipping backward and facing the incoming rocket little girl. "I'm not going to learn Dan Hibiki's stupid sty--"

He don't have time to finish that off. See, just as he was answering, he was already leaping for a mighty flying kick...but evidently, the girl was faster and hits him clean, sending him straight to the ground.

The rope dart set up, Ayame glances toward Ryo as he deals with attacking Camille, then enduring through her retaliation and trying to flying kick Himeko right back for having the gall to bring up Saikyo-Ryu! Huh, that definitely got a reaction from the Kyokugen master. Ayame isn't familiar with the history between him and whatever whackjob school of fighting Hime hails from, but it touched upon a nerve. Good to know. Ayame loves to know what buttons to push when the time comes.

The young man goes down hard to an unpleasant dosage of Justice Rolling and Ayame shakes her head. Tough break, but there's no room here for mercy. He looks like he could pack a solid hit if he gets an attack in. The rope dart assembled, she whirls the weapon over her head quickly before hopping forward into a spin and kicking the pointed weight out, sending it hurling toward Ryo's chest.

Maybe Himeko is rubbing off on her, because she can't help but blurt out a name for an attack that has none. "Ruin's Skewer!" Maybe that imbues it with special never-fail properties... Can't hurt to try, right?!

Himeko almost bounces off of Ryo like a basketball, and after the rebound, nearly loses her balance after landing on the ground and staggering back a couple of steps. There's a slight pause, and a moment of.. Realization. It isn't that Ayame is setting up for some sort of super rock-out. It's not even that she herself is managing to avoid contact with Camille's sword swings of death. No, this realization is that this Ryo Sakazaki called her style stupid.

Hime huffs. She pouts. And then she raises her fists in the air as she cries, "You just said his style is stupid?? His style's not stupid, your style is stupid!" ... "Dummy!" ... "Head!" If she were a little cartoon drawing, smoke would be shooting out her ears.

She can't even appreciate that Ayame is borrowing a page from her book she's all riled up now. Hime reaches to her thighholster and gathers a handful of trading cards and then darts toward Ryo again, leaping in hopes of intercepting him on his way back up. The cards attatch togeather, acting like a rope, and as she flips over would try to wrap the bindings about his throat and hang upside down off of him in an unusual choke hold! "Twit!"

Camille's step-up enzuigiri works, and she of course credits herself rather than any particular lack of speed on Ryo's part; it definitely feels a little better to do that than the alternative. Putting herself behind her opponent with the launch off, Camille takes a few seconds to calculate her attack on Ryo for optimal effectiveness -- if she's lucky, maybe she'll put him down hard like she did with that fellow from Pacific's facilities department.

In fact, she thinks it might be best to try the same move that was incredibly effective /there/ on /Ryo/. Leaning against one of the shelves of books, Camille glances around, trying to find some way to augment her usual facebuster -- and when she sees Himeko going for a chokehold and sees one of those library ladders. Yanking it over, Camille quickly flips up it, locks eyes on her opponent, and then leaps forward, hoping to snag Ryo's head with her arm and force it down to the ground with the momentum of her body.

COMBATSYS: Himeko successfully hits Ryo with Reading Rainbow.

Uh-oh. That girl seems...pretty pissed after he called Dan Hibiki's style stupid. Maybe a rebutal might be needed. "Alright, alright!" Ryo Sakazaki lets out, taking a step back, unsure on just how to take Himeko's attack in. Pretty strange style...and cards are even stranger! The Tiger gargles as he tries to catch his breath again and is held by the strange MAGICAL CARDS, evantualy bursting out.

And just in time, too. Ryo immediatedly let himself drop to the ground, narrowingly evading the whirling weapon then rolling back.

Right then, Camille goes against him. Ryo snaps out an hand, grabing the Brit's grabbing one and twist it -- harmlessly -- and toss her back into the ground. That was a really close one.

"Like I was saying, alright! It's not AS stupid as Todoh's! How's that?"

That said, the Tiger then leaps high up, bright blue chi energies gathering in his hands as he stare down. "KUUCHUU KO'OU KEN!"

It's not a Haoh Sho Ko Ken, but the Mid-Air fireball is quite large indeed and aimed somewhere in the middle of the fighting girls to create a nice explosion, hopefuly smacking them with the resulting shockwave.

The rope held weight hurtles through the air in a straight shot for Ryo's chest, but the young man is far too quick to get caught by it. The girl is beginning to realize that in contests of speed, he has her beat on an X-Treme level. Tugging on the cable, she draws the sharp weight back, swinging back into a tight spin over the top of her head as she tries to figure out how to deal with someone this far ahead of her in ability.

The chance comes when Ryo takes to the air and sends a powerful chi blast raining down from above. Acting quickly, Ayame swings her cable out to the side, wrapping it around the back of one of the large, oaken library chairs before yanking it back toward her. The antique chair is rendered to mere splinters in an instant but it eats the portion of the blast that would have struck the girl.

Spinning her body around once she hurls the weight out toward Ryo a second time, aiming lower, toward his stomach. Let's see him duck that! A second side step is utilized as she pulls back the flung weapon to send it flying through the air in an indirect, circular path for the side of Ryo's head, just in case he decides to try and jump over the initial lower pass.

Himeko would froth at the mouth if she could, but she can't! Blanka hadn't taught her how yet- She takes note to ask him next time she's practicing at the dojo. The binding snaps and she falls onto her back, tumbling into the exact proximation of Ryo's ZOMG fireball. Uhhhh.

Hime reaches behind her and whips out her trusty textbook titled 'Excalibook' and stares at if for about half a second. Throwing the book probably is not going to work, so instead... There's a sudden surge of power within her. A sudden gust of wind picks up, whipping her scarf upward and she grasps a few pages to rip out with sudden force. The result is a suprisingly large, rectangular 'buster sword' created that she unsheaths halfway allowing the energy to slam harshly into it. Her boots squeak as the energy pushes her back and fends off her bit until the Ko'ou Ken eventually dissipates and the sword explodes in her face, raining paper everywhere!

"Ugh!!" Hime sputters, "As if I'd let it go that easily! When I'm done with you, that is the VERY FIRST book I'm going to make you read!" the girl shouts, and she takes a moment to pause, a hand on her hip and the other wagging her finger scoldingly at Ryo. "In fact, reading is a lot like the Saikyo Ryu style! Sometimes it exposes you to knowledge, other times it exposes you to adventure! It is an art, something that should be appreciated and used, something to be treasured and loved. I'm not ashamed to say it. I'm not afraid, I'll say it loud and I'll say it proud!"

She cups her hands to her mouth. "I am Hurricane Hime, and READING IS COOL!! JUST LIKE SAIKYO!"

There has to be /somewhere/ that all that power goes, when the massive fireball comes and threatens to take down all three girls at once. Ayame has no trouble with it... Hime has no trouble with it... but Camille? Well -- she tries to do one of her characteristic rolling defenses, moving with the fireball's motions and letting it just graze her. Unfortunately it doesn't work too hot -- in fact, her slowness means she takes it dead-on in the chest, sent sprawling backward.

Gritting her teeth, Camille pulls out her sword and uses it to steady herself upon getting back up. She locks her eyes on Ryo after a split second of looking at her hale and hearty colleagues, realizing that, yet again, she's the weak link of her team. Slow, deep breaths, Camille reminds herself, looking down at the ruined floor of the library.

She raises the sword, stabbing it into the ground hard. "Bugger it," she hisses, pounding that sword into the ground again. "If I'm going to come out and do this and get humiliated every week..." she whispers to herself, probably too quiet for the cameras to hear. They're probably more busy with those increasingly thunderous slams of that blade.

This was all kind of ridiculous, Ryo will have to admit. Two of theses girls manages to avoid the pure, energic pain both by using antique gear and wind to dissipate the shockwave. There is at least a good note as Camille get hit by all this deflected energy. One out of three. More than he imagined, originaly.

Ryo lands from the Ko'ou ken, jumping upward a few centimetres to barely avoid the leg sweep, lands on the staff and springs board off it.

"You know," The Raging Tiger says calmly after Himeko's longwinded speech, his eyes narrowing. "I don't get where the heck you guys are getting this whole 'YOU HATE READING' thing -- or the SNF comitee, for that matter."

He crosses his arms, shaking his head. "I read! I read pretty often, actualy!" Of course, popular mechanics and monthly magazines on motorbikes are not precisely what you'd call 'proper' reading, but they don't need to know that. He unfold an arm and point at Himeko. "I accept Hibiki's style as an art, because it IS rather unique, and if you REALLY are a practicioner of it...it may have potential! I can't belive I'm saying that--Also: HAOH SHO KO KEN!"

Just like that. Suddenly. With little to no prior charging, Ryo Sakazaki spreads and thrusts his arms out and fires off an enormous wave of blue chi toward Himeko.

Ryo proves remarkably agile in dealing with the ranged weaponry Ayame keeps trying to use on him. Jeez! No matter how fast she swings that thing it's never going to hit him it seems like. Time to fall back to something she's more confident in. The rope dart is tugged back and then flung over her shoulder, the girl releasing the cable all together to leave the sharp weight sticking out of the side of some poor book that got skerewed.

Hand slipping back into the pouch at her belt, the girl pulls her staff back out, extending it back to its full length while Ryo is directing.... something rather terrifying in Himeko's direction. A wall sized chi blast? Well, Ayame's glad she's not that kid. "Sucks to be her," she muses, glancing toward Camillie, not sure how well her other partner is holding up. So far she's taken a bit of a beating. Huffing, the girl decides there's not much she can do for either of them besides try to get some hits on the karate master.

Twirling the staff over her head, the girl charges back in, bringing the weapon in low before hopping into a spin through the air, attempting to smack Ryo several times with the weapon before landing at his side. Upon touching down, the girl stabs the bo staff out, attempting to finish with a jab to his side while keeping her distance on the other end of it.

No, it never sucks to be Hurricane Hime. Ever. Even when there is a massive ball of death headed your way, there is one thing she has that the others don't.. But uh, I'm not telling you what that is, it is something you have to find on your own, within your heart.

Anywho, in the end, the Heroine suddenly seems quite satisfied that Ryo is giving in to the fact that Saikyo is a little cooler than he originally thought. That's right he does! "So you're going to practice it too now, -right-? A try before you buy poli-- Wuh oh." That there is a big ol wave of chi. At first there's a thought to get out of the way, but that would most certainly put the shelves a ways behind her in danger so.. She thrusts her book out in front of her and hopes for the best because Dan's never thrown anything THAT big at her before.

Needless to say it's a pretty spectacular fail, one can hear the WHAM of chi slamming into body and the cry of "BARF!" as the smallest one is just barreled by the thing, it's insane! Like, there's just no way no one would think the kid exploded into Mega-man like atoms after that! Desks knock over, lamps fly into the air and a girl in pink flies across the room smashing into the cases so violently that the books within just burst like confetti from a pinata.

Take note of the stack of books below, and then the top shifting as the girls upper half breaks free, looking like she wrestled with a bear. "... Ha HA!" she cries in a saishu-esque manner. And then doubles over, holding her ribs with her face twisted up in a comical manner. Walk it off, Hime, just walk it off!

The immense show of power on Himeko -- who wasn't even getting aggressive, just posturing! -- is a bit of a shock to Camille; Ryo certainly is the type to take no prisoners in the pursuit of victory, even if it's not in a particularly malicious way. The Brit slams that sword into the ground one final time, in that last psych-out movement, and then puts it right back on her back; in spite of its usefulness in getting her psyched up, it has no actual place in the tactic she's about to use.

Raising her hands high in a wide-open stance, Camille turns to the side and starts to step in toward Ryo with wide, somewhat awkward-looking sidesteps. The young lady swings her hand down toward her thigh, slapping it hard onto the thigh and using it to guide the kick just slightly in the split second before it connects.

Ryo /could/ just duck it, of course. The superkick is an extremely high-aimed move, to the point where the only thing it could be expected to hit with any regularity is a person's head; however, what makes it brutal is the surprising conviction that Camille brings to bear when using it, the high speed of the actual kick as it snaps up, and the downright nasty force that plows through all but the toughest guards.

And because this is a high kick from a girl: insert pantyshot joke here.

It's not as much 'take no prisoner' than 'well, she's not paying attention, where she SHOULD be paying attention in a battle'. So, all in all, it's pretty much her own fault! For now, Ryo's leaving her well alone and likely wont attack her again until she decides to smack him once more.

That leaves him with Ayane and Camille. He deal firstly with the bo-staff wielding girl, slamming a feet into the carpet to gain a little footing and lift an arm to soak the staff's blow.

It stung, it did a nice, satisfying 'THWACK'!, but beside a noise, it didn't do too much. Maybe it'll cause a bruise later! Small one, sure, but still one.

And then, fanservice attacks. Ryo is momentairly hesitant on just how to deal with this. That attack, that footwork, that KICK...there is so many things WRONG with it! On so MANY levels!

The Raging Tiger mentaly then kick his brain, foiling any attempt of any further analysis and thoughts about this then /react/. His hands snaps out, grab the outstretched leg, twist around and use the attack's momentum to toss her away. High. AWAY.

That's not all.

"HIEN SHIPPU KYAKU!" Ryo shouts immediatedly after, leaping and darting like an arrow against the still air-born Camille with his trademark flying kicks.

Her staff strikes are defended against quite effectively and Ayame lands to the side as Ryo deals quite capably with Camille's incoming Super Kick before trying to send the girl up into the air to leave her vulnerable to a powerful attack. Ayame grunts, taking a step backward to really give this some thought. She's been thoroughly unable to hit the Kyokugen master effectively the entire match!

"Jeez, this guy is kind of ridiculous," she murmurs. Neither her ranged attacks nor in close attacks are working against him. Time for plan C! Breathing in, the girl focuses energy into that metal staff of hers, an orange hued, crackling aura surrounding the weapon. If the simple, physical attacks aren't working, maybe a flurry of chi will help things a little!

Waiting to see where Ryo lands after his attack in Camillie's direction, Ayame charges him again, whirling the staff over head before swinging it down and trying to smash it into his side, then using the rebound to spin around and hammer his arm right at the elbow, trying to diminish his ability to keep fighting effectively. Finally the girl swings the weapon from high to low, trying to clonk the Kyokugen master on the head with an accompanying explosive discharge of that orange colored chi.

Camille

Well, Hurricane Hime isn't going to just dilly dally all day. She knows she has a fight she needs to finish, and finish post haste! It may hurt a bit to breath, but she's never out enough to finish her duty! First she mumbles a little apology to the reading material about her and then, "Rrrrrgh.. GRAAAAAAAAAAAA!!"

Hime gives herself a little fire up, slapping her cheeks and then dashes from the mess to dive back into action. "Food for thought! Seven-zero-zero to Seven-ninety nine: The Arts!" She withdraws excalibook and tears three glowing, blank pages from it. She tosses them up into the air, and with a point of her finger, the small projectiles whip toward Ryos side, almost seeming like joining in Ayames portion of the attack to the side! Though don't expect any paper cuts from that attack. "Huaah!"

And that's about what Camille expected to happen, in hindsight. The second Ryo catches her kick and tosses her up, Camille knows she's doomed. She puts up a token resistance, throwing her hands up to try to meet the brutal Hien Shippu Kyaku with something /like/ a block, but it doesn't work -- she slams into a wall full of weighty tomes, groaning as she crawls toward Ryo.

"... well, this is about..." she groans, staggering back to her feet, "... what I expected..." Still, she thinks -- wouldn't it be better to at least make one good final showing? Maybe she can look like she at least has potential or something, she reminds herself... and so, she launches her legs up toward Ryo, whirling them around his head and then using them to hopefully slam him down into the carpet that he drove on not too long ago. If she misses, she'll fly into another wall, and probably not get back up; if she hits the move, she'll crumple off of him mere moments after the impact of the Frankensteiner takedown.

Oh, look.

Dizzy girl has finnaly gotten her wits back together again!

But first, gotta deal with the recently flying kicked girl. "That's..." Ryo says, reaching down to grab the lashed outlegs and SLAM a feet down at her, springing off the poor combatant. "...The SPIRIT! YAAAAAAHAAAAAAA!"

More staff blows comes his way as Ryo litteraly surfs down to the ground on Camille's back toward Ayame, the pages slamming against Ryo. Not powerful enough to throw him off balance, but there was somenoticable damage. The Bo staff strikes are (not so) easily evaded by clever use of jumping, crouching and edging out but, evantualy...Ryo is close enough to leaps upward with a fist, hurling himself into the air and, hopefuly, Ayane too.

After her second swing, Ayame realizes he's on his way back for her. A hasty attempt is made to bring her staff up in the way in hopes of defending her poor chin, but a microsecond later, the strawberry-blonde is flying up through the air and coming down hard against one of the tables against the wall with a gasp. Okay, /that/ hurt! Seeing stars, she rolls off it to get back on her feet, looking a little wobbly at first, oblivious to Camille's plight or even what Himeko is up to at the moment.

All right. Must. Stay. On. The. Offense. Something will hit eventually. She's certain of it! Gripping her trusty staff tightly, the girl charges back for Ryo, leaning low as she makes another sweep, spinning around in a crouch to make a second sweep at an upward angle, aiming to slam him in the stomach. Where do they get people like this anyway?! He doens't look that much older than herself, but he's decades ahead of her in ability!

It's probably perfectly fine that the fighters are doing their own thing strategy-wise, just so long as they aren't getting in each others way! And as it appears, Hime's been doing a good job of that thus far. She does notice Camille is down and cringes slightly, this 'Ryo' guy was a lot better than Hime gave him credit for! Though she believes she's holding up her own pretty well!

Hime actually doesn't have anything to say for once, both fighters are going to need to kick it up to get back in the game! "All right, I guess I don't have much choice, gonna have to try.." As Ayame strikes low, she tries to zip past her partner and grip the back of Ryo's gi.. If Ayame lands her hit, that'll make it a whole lot easier to pull off a tomoe nage! But otherwise she kicks at the back of one knee and struggles to get the leverage she needs. Don't squash like a pancake please.

Ryo lands from the Kohou, keeping a focused expression on his face. Alright. Keep going, Ryo. You can do this -- and teach them a thing or two about not judging on apperances!

The Raging Tiger does it again, weaving around the bo staff strikes and backflips away from the onslaught evantualy...only to land straight into Himeko's grab. Reacting quickly, the Kyokugen Scion twists around the best he can, grabs the bookworm's wrist firmly. Then, SLAM a feet against her stomach and heft her up straight into the ground.

"Come on!" Ryo encouragingly lets out at the remaining duo. "You all can do it! Give it your best, this is good learning and training!"

J-jeez. Ayame's swings leave her standing alone as Ryo avoids her and retaliates against Himeko instead. She can see where this is going fast. She's going to be stuck fighting this guy alone at this rate! That doesn't. Bode. Well. "Come on, Hime!" the girl snaps, "Hang in there!" Be a target for Ryo's unbridled power, please! ;_;

Not really sure what to do with the guy, Ayame backs up a little, frowning faintly, hand coming up to scratch the side of her head. Feeling a little winded after trying to trip up, smack, clonk, clobber, and basically get a hit past Ryo's remarkable defenses, Ayame hesitates for a moment. She considers switching to bladed attacks, to teach him a lesson about trying to block her strikes with some good gashes, but people tend to get irrate when she does that, and Ryo isn't someone the girl is inclined to tick off.

Time to try and get in something a bit less dodgeable, like a grapple perhaps! Charging forward, holding her staff out at her side, Ayame leaps for Ryo, attempting to slam the weapon forward at the level of his neck while swinging in behind him at the same time, going for a choke hold with the metal polearm while hanging off his neck from behind him. Hopefully putting herself in a position that's a bit trickier to retaliate against!

Uppsy daisy! The Hurricane is honestly suprised that Ryo manages to counter her attack so well, the moment her wrist is grabbed there's an 'uh oh' uttered and following a rush of air coming from her mouth the pink clad heroine is going sailing along, bounces off yet another one of the desks and crashes to the floor.

"OOWWWCH!"

Her gloved hand raises to the desk and Hime pulls herself back up with a grin. "D- Don't worry, I'm not finished just yet, I've still got a few more tricks up my sleeve!" She forces herself to hop back onto the table, and then she hops from one to another as she's back in Ryo's grill. With Ayame going for a hold, then she'll go for a strike, leaping up extra high and twisting into the air to deliver three 'big' kicks across the cheek heel first, "Hey hey! You're thinking of the wrong kind of training, you goof! Get it togeather!"

Evidently, close quarters didnt seem to help much. Ryo is, after all, an extremly experienced combatant and, as such, feel right at home with this range of battle. This includes grapple. It's a little known fact that Ryo is an enthusiastic adept of the venerable art of Sumo, which might shows in the following seconds.

The Tiger is vaguely starting to feel bad about this -- he's way above the two of them and knows that this must be vaguely insulting to them that he keep evading despite their best efforts. The weapon is avoided by lowering himself down then immediatedlybouncing foward from the incoming chokehold. That was pretty close!

And then, comes Himeko's kick. Or rather, heel attack! Ryo has the perfect solution to that!

"HAAAAH!" He shouts, lifting a hand and snap it at the incoming boot to grab it, effortlessly hurling himself upward while frighteningly familiar bright blue chi energy gathers in his free hand. "KUUCHUU KO'OU KEN!"

The rest is pretty easy to guess: point blank fireball!

This guy is some kind of fighting /machine/. If he was ever interested in demonstrating Kyokugen Might, this bout sure seems to the great chance for it! Himeko and Ayame are in for a rough challenge if they intend to take the karate master down. It's one of the first times in her life Ayame remembers /really/ wanting to try and prove herself against another opponent. Normally inclined to bail at the first sign of impossible odds, there's something inspirational about Ryo's skill that affects even the normally distant girl.

Well, time to charge once again into the fire! Ryo avoided her last staff strike, but that doesn't keep her from swinging at him again. A little high this time, a bit of a feint as the end of the staff isn't actually in range to strike him...

That's because the girl is spinning out of the strike with a boot clad foot aimed for his stomach instead!

There is a mild bit of frustration in the Hurricanes heart, but it's not toward Ryo at all.. She just -knows- that if she were at the level of Dan, she'd be able to take down Ryo a whole lot easier, yep she needs more training after this! At first, however, the heroine looks slightly pale when Ryo charges up for a big ol' blast of energy, but then...

"... Oh, this is that other one, ok!" Hime can always hold her own, especially when she feels that surge of power again, and the Kuuchuu meets the same fate as its last; a brilliant flash from her book ad the energy slams into her buster sword, the pages then exploding not long after the energy dissipates.

Panting heavily a quick eye goes to Ayame, and then she's on the prowl again herself, slinging another paper 'rope' toward Ryo's ankle. Assuming it meets it's mark the paper wraps about twice, and she snaps the length in a shockwave manner- the wave travels toward its target and then would snap Ryo up into the air and violently back to the ground. "Hyah!"

For the first time in a while, Ryo is hit. The Raging Tiger, after landing from that surprisingly well-blocked Ko'ou Ken, receive the light kick straight into the stomach as planned. That...actualy stung. The multiple, lightly damaging strikes of the duo is slowly wearing the juggernaut down -- just a little by little.

But first, he need to take the other down. He's dangerous with all of thoses pages! WORDS ARE DANGEROUS INDEED.

The Raging Tiger leaps high up, flipping back and slams into an wall, hurling himself right back down at the Saikyo-trainee. With what, you guess? A FLYING KICK!

"HIEN SHIPPU KYAKU!"

Whew! Landed a hit at last. Not that it was a solid impact or anything, but hey, yay for small successes. Ayame comes up in a defensive stance, ready to fend off some form of retaliation for her OH so devestating attack, but Ryo's attention is elsewhere. Grr.

Hefting the staff over her head like a battle axe, Ayame brings it crashing down toward the back of Ryo's cranium! A somewhat careless initial attack, but the girl follows up the strike by spinning the staff in the opposite direction immediately after, aiming to catch him in his lower back with the other end. Okay.

Now that's getting more and more interesting.

Ryo get caught in the whirlwind, the incredible knockback more than enough to throw the Tiger away far enough from the unfortunate Ayame's smacking. That was an unintentional dodge, mind you, but it still clearly happened.

With a grunt, Ryo falls and immediatedly pushes himself back up, even if a little slower this time. He's starting to get beat up, that's for sure...but it's in thoses time that Ryo stop messing around and just go for the obivious stuff.

In this case, it's terribly simple.

He takes a step foward. Then another, frowning a bit.

He reels an arm back.

Close his fist.

Hurls it at Himeko's face.

Simple, really.

Ryo is knocked out of her latest attempt to clobber him and Ayame is left behind as the Kyokugen fighter takes the fight right back to the smallest opponent with a swift swing of his fist. "Che," the long haired girl grunts, standing her ground and hefting the weapon up in front of her at a defensive angle.

Himeko might not be able to last much longer under Ryo's relentless assault. That means it's up to her to deal a decisive blow. "This guy's unstoppable," the girl mutters. But there's nothing she can do but try to hang in there. Pausing to watch his movements more carefully, trying to get a feel for how it is he's been able to take on so many opponents at once. Is it raw speed alone?

It is astonishingly simple, that technique. And again Hime feels the need to make herself a little flashy; because simple fists sometimes need a complex reaction. The young fighter rubs a finger along the bridge of her nose, reaches for her thigh holster, and then LEAPS!

Right into Ryo's fist. POW! The heroine goes back just the way she came, and a little farther! Crashing and sliding a bit along the floor, she lay there completely dazed and babbling a bit of nonsense. Well, a little more than usual. Fighter Out!

One fighter down, indeed.

Immediatedly as Himeko falls straight into his fist, Ryo Sakazaki immediatedly turns around to face Ayame, looking down at the young girl with a grim expression.

"Well, you all were pretty awesome, I've got to admit!" The Raging Tiger says, his expression brightening. "You all fought admirably and, no matter what the outcome, I think you all have something to be proud of yourselves!"

Sakazaki gives a brief look around the wide area of the library they're win. Man, so much damage -- why did they have to fight in a place like this, seriously? OUTSIDE the library would have been much, much better.

"Oh well! The name is Ryo Sakazaki, Kyokuguen master and instructor! Feel free to drop by if you want another spar!"

With this little blurb in, Ryo's expression, once again, shift dramaticaly. His bushy eyebrows furrow, crossing his forarms as he litteraly blurrs toward Ayame, screaming. "ORAORAORA!"

Then, a flurry of punches, kicks, elbows, knee strikes starts raining in her direction, all the while Sakazaki is roaring at the top of his lungs, evantualy finishing the onslaught with an fierce flying uppercut!

That bookshelf over there is certainly a bookshelf. A perfectly normal bookshelf. Nothing abnormal about it at all. Move along, move along. It's just a bookshelf. No hideous monsters here.

Himeko would indeed point out it were no normal bookshelf were she still conscious!! ... Possibly. Maybe.

Well ok, probably not.

What in the world- Himeko goes crashing down under the solid punch which means Ayame is left to take the all out assault that Ryo dishes out on the young fighter. An attempt is made to defend herself, a swift stab down toward his ankles and a twist, a desperate hope to trip him up before he even gets a chance to land a single blow. But it isn't to be. The girl is punched, kicked, blasted, elbowed, kneed and finally uppercutted up into the air before she comes crashing down hard on her back on the library's floor.

That she rolls to the side and gets back up is almost on pure reflex, the girl barely even aware that she's still moving, propping herself up with her titanium staff with her left hand. Her right hand goes to press against her side, Ayame wincing at the pain she's feeling now. Crushed ribs maybe?

The girl gasps, struggling to breath, her right hand coming up to wipe against her mouth, wiping a red, bloody streak along her forearm. Spitting to the side, she looks back at Ryo, still using the sturdy weapon for support. "Lucky hit," she growls.

Ryo Sakazaki is...extremly impressed! Few people can survive the Ryuuko Ranbu like this and the very fact that she's still standing and spirited enough to talk speaks volume about her fighting spirit.

"Yeah! I guess it was, I guess it was!" Ryo replies in good humour, grinning. But he has to finish this battle. A quick punch is lashed out, mostly aimed at her head to knock her out. "Come and visit me at my dojo one of theses days!"

A quick punch for him, an earth shatttering experience for Ayame! As he gets in close, the girl makes one last attempt at being able to fight, her weapon swinging up, no longer supporting her. But she wasn't as ready to stand on her own as she thought. Without the polearm's support, she begins to fall forward even in the attempt of hopelessly hitting the Kyokugen fighter, with no such luck.

His knuckles smack her forehead, driving the girl backward, flipping her over a table to land seated in one of the chairs as her staff drops from her fingers to rattle against the floor. The conclusion of a crazy fight and a messy library!

And a very exhausted Tiger! Ryo Sakazaki, as soon Ayame falls down, himself also fall on his rear on the ground, letting out a long breath. Man! That was one heck of an battle! One heck of a work out!

He should do this kind of stuff more often.

He gives a circular look around the library, frowning a bit. "Man." He mutters, "I hope I wont have to pay for all that.

COMBATSYS: Ryo drops his guard to recover.

The bookshelf continues to be a bookshelf. It is certainly not leaning over to watch Ryo. It could not. It is a bookshelf. It could not possibly be preparing to do a damn thing./

Ryo Sakazaki, unaware. More worried about the very fact that they trashedan antique library's main hall and somebody is going to have to pay for all that damage, hopefuly not HIM again. Damn SNF, sometimes, you're just messing with him!

But, something bugs him. Slowly, Ryo Sakazaki turn his look around, only to see a bookshelf that is pretty closer than it was before.

He get back up, blinking and narrowing his eyes. Aburst of chi gathers around him, recharging himself as he expect something to jump out.

Something with teeth.

COMBATSYS: Ryo gathers his will.

Suddenly the bookshelf attacks! It twists and turns, the four rows of books swirling around it and then forming themselves into limbs, the bookshelf itself becoming a tall body. There is a crackling and a moaning from the shelf...and then its bookends form a head. Bookends in the shape of smiley bears and Mark Twain's head and so on. The final head uses these as ears, the face formed by a smiley-face bookend. The mouth somehow moves. "GRRRRROOOOOORGH!"

It waves its book-arms, and hurls one towards Ryo. The arm falls short, but a book flies off the end to strike him!

COMBATSYS: Twelve has joined the fight here.

"I KNEW IT!" He wails, bringing up his arms to block the incoming remains of dead tree. "I KNEW THAT THEY'D COME FOR ME SOMEDAY!"

And then the Raging Tiger simply LEAPS against the monstruous bookshelf and PUNCH it.

The bookshelf-beast waves its book-arms menacingly. "Grooooooooongh!" It does not even move, for Ryo is far too fast! His fist powers through the smiley face, which shatters, leaving a gaping hole. Mark Twain's head shifts to replace it as the face. Mark Twain Head roars furiously. "RAAAAAAAAAAGH!"

It spreads its book-limbs. The books on the ends open, and the bookshelf-beast rises into the air. Mark Twain Head roars again. Then, there is a chorus of sounds.

From the right arm: "Fourscore and seven years ago..."
From the left arm: "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times..."
From the right leg: "It was a dark and stormy night..."
From the left leg: "For as long as men and women have talked about war, they have talked about it in terms of right and wrong..."

The words appear in the air, accompanied by pictures. A rabbit in a blue waistcoat slipping under a fence. A yellow bear in a red shirt. A goose in a pink skirt and blue bonnet. The images and words merge together, flying at Ryo with the power...

What--what maddness is this!? Heads that shifts around to replace themselves!? Ryo, despite his raging attack, is a little stunned by the monster he's fighting -- mostly because it's a WALKING BOOKSHELF

But that's not all, WORDS litteraly appears into thin air and smashes into the Raging Tiger, sending the SNF victor flying all the way back into the wall, caving it in some.

Defeated? By the power of Literacy!? Is this all part of the match!? No way! He wont lose after all that struggle! He wont!

"Alright, you beast," Sakazaki says as he pushes himself back up with effort, gritting his teeth. "That was impressive! I applaude your encylopedical knowledge! But Kyokugen-ryuu wont give up that easily! HAOH SHO KO KEN!"

And suddenly, gigantic fireball, fueled by the sheer strenght of the FLASHY ATTACK CREDO!

HE SHALL PREVAIL!

The massive fireball flies for the great book-beast. It roars in rage, as Mark Twain's Head looks around. But no, it cannot dodge! The great power of reading does not flee! It shakes its big book-arms in rage - and is then bowled over by the flames, rolling along the ground. It rises again, somehow, and Mark Twain smiles an evil smile, grins an evil grin! His eyes narrow, and the bookshelf-creature floats into the air again. One of its legs is gone, but it appears not to care.

The first book on the end of the left arm opens, and from it steps a Scottish man with stringy brown hair, a green tunic and a longsword.
The first book on the end of the right arm opens, and from it steps a tiger-like beast - a stuffed tigerbeast, with a long and springy tail, which the creature balances on.
The first book on the end of the leg opens, and from it steps a boy with a big head, a terrified expression and a brown sweater with a black, squiggly line on it.

Macbeth steps forward, his blade glowing with white fire. "I dare do all that may become a man; Who dares do more is none!" He leaps into the air, and slashing down at Ryo, with a burning slash and a terrible warscream.
Charlie Brown steps forward, his head glowing with blue fire. "There must be millions of people all over the world who never get love letters... I could be their leader!" He runs forward, charging like a freight train to slam at Ryo with a mighty, mighty headbutt!
Last, but not least, Tigger bounces forward, his fists glowing with red fire. "The wonderful thing about Tiggers is that Tiggers are wonderful things! Their tops are made out of rubber, their bottoms are made out of springs! They're bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy fun fun fun fun fun! But the most wonderful thing about tiggers is...I'm the only one!" He bounces towards Ryo...and then lowers himself on his tail...and rises in a swirling uppercut bounce!

Then they all fade away.

No man can survive this. Admitedly, most man would get and recognise half of thoses characters, but not to Ryo Sakazaki. To be honest, he IS not very well versed into the literate arts. He read stuff, sure, but popular knowledge? No! None -- or actualy very little of that! That's what you get when you are raised by Takuma Sakazaki -- intense martial arts training, but...

Ryo is headbutted so hard by the three figures that he, once again, flies like a bird straight into the very same wall, actualy bursting THROUGH this time and landing outside.

He lies there, groaning out in pain and forcing himself to stand back up. Damnit! He wont be defeated that easily! Go out the KYOKUGEN way, Ryo.

The one and only true way. GIVE IT ALL YOU GOT, TO THE EXTREEEEEEEEEEME!

"I don't know what the heck you are!" Sakazaki shouts as the ultimate expression of his fighting will manifest into pure chi once more. "BUT I AM NO EASY PREY! HAOH SHO KO KEN!"

The bookshelf-beast roars in triumph, the Mark Twain Head trumpeting a cry of elated victory to the ceiling. "GRROOOOOOOOMPH!" It shakes its two book-arms and then looks down at Ryo. Or rather, at the hole in the wall that he flew through. It considers this, and then hears his cries.

It does the only sensible thing: it returns to its place and lays back, the books and bookends flying back into place. When the Haoh Sho Ko Ken flies in, it strikes the wall behind where the great beast was, for now, it is back to being a /completely normal bookshelf/.

Really.

Ryo Sakazaki has been defeated by WORDS.

And the next day, no one noticed a missing bookshelf. Meanwhile, the terrible man-creature known only as Unit Twelve reported back to its master...well, its /current/ master. Sitting low on the floor, on hands and feet, as it always did, it bobbed its head once. "I understand his style now. I will be ready."
