DUdley stands on one side of the Opera House, or rather, out of sight in stage left. He's quite excited at the prospect of putting on a show for the elite class, especially since some of his upper-crust friends from Britain are here to watch him. The boxer puts on his second glove and has the strings tightened by an SNF official, before he walks confidently out onto the stage, where the orchestra, on cue, plays the first few notes of God Save the Queen. He bows to the audience several times, before waiting on his opponents to make their own entrances.
It is probably a good thing that the dress code doesn't count for the fighters that are about to perform this evening for SNF. Leona Heidern would have certainly would not have been allowed entrance given her appearance. There is no reason to dress up for a fight no matter what some of the other female fighters might say. The thought of fighting in skirts and heels isn't really something the mercenary would want to try anyways.
Her task tonight is at least a simple one. She just needs to keep the other two fighters on their toes as they put on a show for the crowd gathered. Silently Leona stands a bit off stage as she works her dogtags around her hair to put it in a loose ponytail. She isn't too familiar with the pair that are fighting so at least she will get to observe the fighting style of the pair withought worry of having to win the fight.
'High class' is not a description that's frequently applied to Hayato Nekketsu. It's not that he's a complete brute, though his appearance and general demeanor are certainly part of it. It's more that he takes most of his enjoyment from the simple things in life. As far as opera goes? Well, he knows what it /is/, but he'd hard pressed to come up with an example of an opera more specific than 'that one with the heavy lady in the viking helmet'.
Still, he's willing to try. And so Hayato has shown up for tonight's fight in a tuxedo rather than his usual red track suit. Although there is at least a splash of that color, in the form of his cummerbund. The jacket seems to be a bit tight around the chest and arms, and Hayato doesn't appear particularly comfortable moving in it, but it looks like he's going to tough it out. There's been no effort made to fancy up his shinai, however, beyond making sure that it's in tip-top condition. Clothes are one thing, but putting useless decoration on your weapon is just silly!
Striding out onto the stage, Hayato also bows to the audience, brandishing his shinai with a smooth sweep of his arm as he does so. That done, he straightens back up and turns to face Dudley. "Well now... Couldn't show you all my tricks, last time. Boxing was fun and all, but it's not really my style." He taps the shinai against his shoulder for emphasis, grinning. "This should be fun." He then looks over in Leona's direction, giving her a wide grin as well. "Hope you've got plenty of chaos in store for us." Of course, one should be careful what one asks for...

Dudley looks towards Hayato and Leona and nods to them, then looks back at Hayato with a smirk. "I do hope your tricks won't just be all smoke and mirrors. Very well! Let the fight begin!" Dudley holds up a rose he brought with him in the air, then gives it a toss to the floor between all three of them. Then, Dudley runs forwards and throws out a quick punch to Hayato's left breast. "En guarde!"

Hayato's response to Dudley charging forward is to grin even more widely and shift his shinai into an attack position. He holds his ground as the boxer runs in, making no attempt to get out of the way. It seems the ease with which Dudley tossed out that punch is a bit deceptive, however, as it hits Hayato in the chest with considerable force. He'd been intending on trading blows, but the force is actually enough to stagger him back a step. Not that it makes him stop grinning. "That's the stuff!"
Hayato then lunges toward Dudley with a sharp laugh, reaching out with both hands to grab Dudley by the collar. The fabric probably isn't sturdy enough for him to actually /lift/ Dudley by it, but it should be enough for him to shift the boxer's weight, then upset his balance by giving him a good shake. That upset balance is important, because the moment Hayato releases Dudley he's moved his right arm for the attack, driving a punch with the hand clasping the shinai right toward Dudley's face.
Oh she has plenty of tricks in store if she so chooses. Afterall Leona is always up for causing some damage on property that will cost Geese money to fix up. Granted with the money that he has any damage she might cause tonight will be pocket change unless she just up and rigged the whole Opera house to go up in flames. If there was less people in here that would actually be an idea.
That of course is not the case. The place is packed and Leona does not want to injure those that are not involved in the fight. She lets both fighters start things off before she finally gives a nod and decides to jump into the fray as well. She dashes forward rather quickly towards the fighters as for now she keeps things relatively simple. Her attention shifts to Dudley first as she brings a hand back while balling it up to give a rather vicious straight aimed at smacking the boxer right in the jaw if it connects how she wants it to.

Dudley stumbles back from Hayato's push; his own collar is surprisingly sturdy. He raises an arm to block Hayato's right punch, grunting as he absorbs the blow. He spies Leona from the corner of his eye and ducks under the punch aimed at his jaw. "You will have a hard time surprising me, miss!" he declares, trying to flex his acting skills, which are nil despite his upbringing. He swings a hook punch to the side of Leona's head while moving away from Hayato.

A swiftly raised forearm serves to protect Hayato from the blow, and he moves with the impact to help even more. This isn't quite enough to actually get him flanking Dudley, but it does at least get him slightly out of the boxer's direct line of vision. That won't hold up for long, of course, so Hayato's going to have to move quickly to take advantage of the opportunity.
The phys ed teacher reaches out for Dudley's arm with his left hand, while sweeping out with his leg for the boxer's ankles in an attempt to send him crashing to the floor. Dudley is obviously quite good at trading punches, but in this match Hayato is under no obligation to play to the boxer's strengths. And unless your opponent is well trained in ground fighting, throwing them down is usually a pretty good way to start causing them some serious trouble.
The initial strike made by the Ikari woman is easily avoided, but Leona doesn't look to be taking time to hesitate and decide who to strike at next. While she is close into the fray she twists some on the foot she has planted firmly on the stage floor to put her weight onto that leg as the other lifts up to swing towards Hayato while he is busy attacking the boxer at the moment. There isn't alot of force to it, but it is a quick swing aimed for the chest of the teacher meant to knock him back and off balance.

Dudley can't get out of the arm grip of Hayato in time before his legs are swept out from under him. Dudley falls on his back hard with an 'oof', and it smarts. He gets back up just as Leona attacks Hayato, and Dudley takes a moment to focus himself. A blue aura glows around him, and he assumes a fighting stance. "I hope you are ready for this! Machinegun Blow!" he announces dramatically, and steps forward, throwing out his right fist and assaulting Hayato with a number of rapid blows almost too fast to see by the naked eye; the audience will definitely only see a blur as his fist moves.

Leona's assault doesn't achieve exactly the result she was aiming for, but it seems to work out in the end. Hayato sees her coming and hops out of the way, but that leaves him off balance for a brief moment. And that moment just happens to be exactly when he's being attacked by Dudley. Hayato is staggered by the flurry of blows, sent reeling back several paces before he manages to get a hold of himself. The Burning Phys Ed teacher takes a deep breath, then slams his fists together and looks back up with a grin. "Now we're getting somewhere!" Waves of flame orange chi begin to radiate off of Hayato's body, his arms tensing up as he gets himself pumped up. The seams on the tuxedo jacket protest a bit, but they seem to be holding for now.

She may not be hitting, but if anything it is at least giving the other two something to think about other than the opponent in front of them. How much it is affecting the fight she really can't tell, but both of these fighters seem to still have alot in their tanks. She is glad she at least was put in a match involving fighters with skill like this. All too often she has had to deal with those that don't know what the hell they are doing.
She takes a few steps back after that last kick of hers hits nothing but air and she takes a moment to reassess the situation before her attention turns back towards Dudley one again. She has been sticking to simple strikes at first, but now she figures it is time to break out something more flashy for the crowd. She raises her hands high up in the air as blue chi begins to surround them as she makes a long slashing motion with both that creates a wave of chi aimed right for the boxer.

Dudley leans his body to the left, and then to the right to avoid the crescents of chi that fly towards him and then dissipate. He points at Hayato with a gloved hand as the teacher burns, wordlessly. On cue, the orchestra plays a dramatic chord. Then, the British boxer, with a cry of challenge, runs forward to grab Hayato by his front collar and the seat of his pants, and then toss him to the side near the background of the stage.

There's not very much that Hayato can do to defend himself against being thrown once he's been grabbed. The position is quite awkward for any sort of retaliation. Once he's actually airborne, though, the gym teacher is able to twist his body to tuck and roll, hitting the ground with his back before quickly rolling to a stop and popping back up to his feet. "Nice try, but not quite!"
Hayato's long stride eats up the distance between himself and Dudley as he charges toward the boxer, shinai held high for a vicious strike... but then he runs right past his target. Hoping that it will take Dudley a moment to figure out what's going on, Hayato slips behind the boxer and attempts to hook both arms around his waist. If Hayato succeeds, his next move is to rear back, bending over to introduce Dudley's head violently to the stage.
More flair to the previous attacks, but much the same effect. The two seem to be quite speedy as well as strong. A tough combination to deal with indeed. The mercenary may have to challenge one, if not both, to a fight sometime in the near future. That is for another itme, though. Right now the fight is still at hand and the other two fighters are already back into the thick of fighting as Hayato tries to position himself back behind the boxer. Of course that should leave him open to to allow Leona to come in from behind and almost baseball slide forward in an attempt take the legs out from under the teacher in an attempt to ground him.

Dudley is caught by surprise by Hayato's movements, and unfortunately is held fast in his vice-like grip. There's a loud BOOM as Dudley's head connects with the stage floor, and stars burst in his vision. He falls on his stomach, lying there as Leona attacks Hayato. His vision clears and he coughs up some blood, his hair messed and bow-tie askew. He gets back up, shaking himself and trying to focus. That one definitely hurt him, and he'll have to hit just as hard back to try and level things again. "Now, Hayato, you will see one of my most powerful techniques!" he declares, moving forward briskly and winding up a fist. "Howargh! Corkscrew Blow!" His fist, pulsing with blue chi, is thrown out, the energy engulfing his fist in a corkcscrew shape to deal multiple hits, though it is mostly from said energy.

It seems Hayato's not paying quite enough attention to Leona, as she manages to come up on him from behind. His legs are knocked out from underneath him, sending him crashing down painfully onto his back. And then as he's getting back up he hears Dudley talking about his powerful technique... That can't be good. And indeed it isn't. Hayato recovers in time to see Dudley's fist racing in, but then he doesn't see much aside from blue flashes and stars for the next few moments as the energy corkscrew slams into him, sending him crashing back down once again.
With a shake of his head, Hayato climbs back to his feet. "Pretty damn good... But I'm not done yet!" Hayato charges across the stage back toward Dudley, pulling back his right arm. Flaming orange chi surrounds Hayato's fist as he closes in, bringing his fist down in an arcing strike aimed to slam into the top of the boxer's head and drive him all the way down to the floor of the stage.
The slide connects and with a bit of a roll the Ikari woman kips back up onto her feet not too far away from where the other two fighters are. It is mostly just in time to see Hayato take a good beating from the boxer as well. What is more impressive is the fact he even manages to get up from it and just go charging back in. Neither seem to be holding back and that is just how it should be. She moves around to try to get a better look at the situation before thinking she sees an opening as Hayato charges back in to attack Dudley. Dashing forward Leona quickly brings her hands back to gather a ball of greenish colored chi that she releases from behind the boxer. It crackles just for a moment before looking to become unstable as it crackles and erupts into spikes that will have a rather shocking affect if Dudley has the misfortune of actually touching one.

Though Dudley seems to be focused mainly on Hayato before him, he does sense Leona approach from behind. When the chi ball is launched, Dudley instinctively ducks. However, rising back up, he is too late to dodge the burning fist that slams into his head and knocks him down in a fiery inferno. The audience gasps. Dudley seems to be knocked out for a few seconds...but he stirs, and slowly rises, though with difficulty. He seems to be struggling to keep himself conscious, especially with black bruises on his face and swelling, and blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. "You have fought quite well Hayato, but this time, there will be no tie!" He points at him. "Today, one will fall, and I believe that one will be yourself!" With another cry, the Brit throws out a fierce punch to Hayato's gut. Hard, fast, simple.

With Dudley's fist coming in toward his gut, Hayato brings his own fist sailing in toward Dudley's head. Cue the slow motion shot of both fighters getting closer and closer to connecting, becoming a contest of who has the best speed and reach at this particular moment. For a moment it's too close to tell... and then Dudley's gloved fist slams into Hayato's stomach. The cummerbund, sadly, provides no protection.
Hayato drops to his knees, all the force behind his blow lost as his legs give out underneath him. Clutching a hand to his stomach, Hayato takes a coughing breath as he grins up at Dudley. "Nice one..." Then he slowly slumps over to the floor, dazed.
The mercenary remains in a fighting stance, but she does hold back upon seeing the two fighters clash once again. She is almost glad she didn't tip the scales too much in the favor of one or the other in this fight. It was a good one to watch and if anything now she is at least somewhat familiar with the style of both fighters now in case she must ever deal with one in the future.
Even though Hayato is downed she remains readied a moment longer before she relaxes and nods towards Dudley. "A nice win." she tells the boxer as she reaches up to remove the dogtags from her hair and put them back around her neck. She then looks towards the officials who are already are declaring the winner. It looks like her job is done for now so it is time to get her paycheck and head home.
The audience erupts into applause, with only a few 'harumphs' that are drowned out. Dudley takes several bows, then shadow boxes over the fallen Hayato. "Down...for the count!" he declares, before turning his back on the audience and catching a long-sleeved jacket that matches his pants exactly, flinging it over himself. The curtain falls.
