Russia, once a name considered to be evil and associated with Communism, now one of the biggest countries in Europe, is home to many known landmarks. One of these very landmarks is Shukhov Tower, a rather interesting type of landmark, in that it's almost like a wireframe made into a tower. And it just so happens that's where today's fight will be taking place.
Off to one side, warming up for the match, is none other than Katelynn Molina herself. She's always up for new challenges, and this one should be a very interesting one. She smiles to herself, feeling confidence and adrenaline in her as she waits for her opponent to be ready.
Zach Glen did not intend to be here. There was work he was immersed in at his new job, when Howard Entertainment called him in.
An explanation, a rant, a quickly written note and a plane flight later, and Zach found himself in Russia preparing to face off against a familiar opponent. He's somewhat bundled up, and looking up at the tower. Zach frowns; this match had someone else in mind, and he was penned in at the absolute last moment. Glen shoves the thought aside as he waves to Katelynn. She may not recognize him immediately; he's had a haircut recently.
Zach doesn't have to worry, since Katelynn is good at recognizing faces. She bows formally to him and says, "It seems we meet again. Let's see how are skills have fared in the time between our last match, shall we?" And with that she gets into her fighting stance.

Zach smiles and nods a bit as he slides into a stance that might remind Katelynn of jujitsu at a glance. He stands there for a moment before actually speaking.
"Or at least how they compare," Zach comments as he starts to get into a more fight-related mindset. He studies Katelynn again, looking for his openings.

As soon as the fight is underway, Katelynn is quick to go on the offensive almost immediately. She gives a slight smirk to Zach as if to say, "All right, now it's on," Before throwing a forward kick directly at his stomach.

Zach twists to one side, allowing the kick to pass by his midsection. His face is calm as he brings a closed hand back before swinging it in a large uppercut that misses Katelynn completely. This does not seem to bother him in the least.
However, the thing that might not miss at all is the flare of psycho-power that emerges wildly in the wake of the swinging arm!

Taking a defensive stance isn't always the best way of taking things, especially when your defense backfires on you. Katelynn attempts to block the incoming Psycho Power, but her block is off by a little, and she ends up getting knocked backwards, and into the wireframe of the tower, which adds to the pain.
Quickly shaking off the pain, though, Katelynn decides to return the favor with a projectile of her own. She brings her right hand back and focuses her energy into it, and then thrusts that energy at Zach in the form of a bluish sphere that's aimed right at him!

Zach's eyes narrow as the blast screams in at him when he suddenly dives... forward? Yes, Zach dives towards the incoming projectile, tucking and rolling to his feet right in front of Katelynn. The shorter man becomes sheathed in violet energies for a moment even as he is rising up, and attempts to ram a shoulder into Katelynn's midsection in an attempt to knock the wind out of her!

With nowhere else to go, Katelynn attempts to block Zach's incoming shoulder charge, and fortunately, it works for the better this time. She is barely knocked backwards, and the pain she feels is absorbed by her forearms. As soon as Zach's finished with the charge, and Katelynn is finished blocking, she attempts to grab Zach by the shoulders and throw him over her shoulders and into the wireframe behind her.

Zach avoid the throw simply by shoving Katelynn's arms away as he takes two steps backwards. He grins faintly as he wipes some sweat off from underneath his chin.
"That was close," he says softly, even as he steps back in and fires a simple, if crude, push-kick at Katelynn's chest!

That was a great effort, Zach, but Katelynn was waiting on the offensive for your next maneuver. Just as the kick comes directly at Katelynn's chest, the Shotokan fighter twists her upper body to the side, while bringing forth a palm strike from her right hand. The counter hits Zach straight in the stomach.
Katelynn shakes her head as she comes out of the attack. "Looks like I might have found your weak spot!"
Zach slams into a pillar, slumping to the ground as a result of a painful counterstrike. "Yeah, my lack of technique is pretty painful," Glen admits as he shakes the cobwebs loose. He pulls himself back into that jujitsu stance even as he attempts to calm the surging energy within him.
The Tower looks kind of neat; it would be a shame to blow it up.

Enjoy your rest, Zach, because Katelynn's not going to let you rest for much longer. There's a fight to be won here, and Katelynn's going to see to it that it doesn't happen the easy way. Without wasting a beat, Katelynn brings her left fist up and aims it directly at her opponent's chest.

Zach must have had some kind of Zen moment; even as Katelynn is starting her step in, Zach starts one of his own. He forces the incoming punch away with the back of his hand, starting a certain amount of upper body rotation.
The rotation serves to accelerrate the thrusting of his back arm, even as Zach spins a globe of purple energies into existance. The Impulse Flare is thrust at Katelynn's chest before it spins into the ether...

Not one to let something as good as that strike pass, Zach charges forward. He leaps for the Shotokahner and attempts to simply punch the taller girl in the face.
What? She's a fighter! She signed up for this!

Yeah, Katelynn's a fighter, and she did, indeed, sign up for this. And that means taking risks and having to be ready for anything at any time. So when the punch comes at Katelynn's face, she raises her arm to deflect it away, meaning that it was totally harmless to her. But now she's on the offensive, having gained a bit of an advantage on her opponent.
As soon as Zach's right where Katelynn wants him, she goes down and attempts a foot sweep, only to stop at the last second, and then bring the other foot around to actually sweep him off his feet!

Zach knows this move. He's seen it before. He knows how to avoid it. He jumps over the second leg sweep, knowing that it is the money maker.
He adds a nice forward somersault to the leap, and forces it into a could-be axe kick aimed at Katelynn's collar bone. It might sting, or she might dodge it.

Once again, Zach goes into the air with an attempt to hit Katelynn where it hurts, and once again, Katelynn's ready with her favorite attack, the Palm Blaster, which should send Zach on a bit of a reverse course in terms of the remainder of his flight. And the landing is not going to be smooth, either. But that's what you get when you take risks like that.
Zach slams to the ground rather roughly, skidding to a halt about twenty feet away. He should have seen that coming, but threw the kick anyway. He drags himself to his feet.
"'Swhat I get for getting flashy," he chuckles as he considers for a moment. "Focus on one point. Two if you absolutely must," he says almost to himself as he raises both hands in the air. "CHOU!" Zach yells as he takes a deep, lunging step forward, "KASANE ATE!"
Glen throws his arms down and forward. Nothing happens for a moment, before several 'blades' of purple psycho power spring forth from the ground and seem to march towards Katelynn, widening and growing as they approach!

That was a very bad judgement call on Katelynn's part. She attempts to avoid the incoming Psycho Energy, but is hit hard... very hard. She flies into the wall, and then staggers forward. She definitely shows signs of being ready to hit the deck, but at the last second, her energy returns long enough for her to rush forward and deliver a swift flurry of punches and kicks, her Ultimate Kata.
But once she's finished, she's down and out. Poor judgement.

Zach tries to escape, attempts to evade. However, he commited fully to his strike, and it left him open for a pummeling. He staggers under the flurry of strikes before getting clear, only to see Katelynn down and out.
He responds to the sight in a way that feels like it makes sense to him by placing a fist into an open palm with a short bow before allowing the medics to help them both back to the clinic.
