SNF 2007.11 - Tradition! Ryo Hayato CA:Kurow

Description: Ryo and Hayato duke it out in a vicious, heavy-hitting brawl at the Howard Arena while Kurow attempts to slice them open. Some big hits result in a short but sweet match. (Winner: Hayato)

Standing in the center of the Howard Arena, Hayato waits for the scheduled match to begin. SNF is always fun for the Burning Phys-Ed Teacher. Lots of people eager to put their fighting abilities to the test... what's not to like? Sure, sometimes you get pretty badly beaten, but that's a small price to pay, really. And if Hayato should lose, well, that's just all the more incentive to train even harder for the next time! And if he wins... Well, having people cheering for you isn't exactly a bad thing.
While he waits for the fight to begin, Hayato tosses his shinai up repeatedly into the air, letting it go twirling far above his head before smoothly catching it on the descent. Occasionally he swaps from hand to hand. He can't really spend this time training, since there's not much in the way of facilities for doing so in the center of the arena. Probably best not to get himself worn out, anyway. With one final toss Hayato sends the shinai spinning up even higher than before, lacing his fingers together and cracking his knuckles as it flies. Then finally he snaps out one hand at the last moment, catching the weapon and resting it against his shoulder. Looks like it's almost time to begin, so it's time to stop killing time.

It's time for the battle to begin indeed as the other combatant is entering the arena! It's been a while that this fighter has been part of the SNF, especialy a battle in this Arena, but who cares? Ryo Sakazaki is back, and that's all it matters!

The Raging Tiger steps out and into the ring, taking his sweet time in reaching the stage, grinning from ear to ears. Not from sheer arrogance, oh now...more about the excitement of fighting somebody new! A chance of learning some new battle moves! That, is a great opportunity! "Hey!" He shouts, taking his side of the arena and pointing at the Burning Phys-Ed Teacher.

"Name's Ryo Sakazaki, it's time to get this show on the road! C'MON!"

Hayato grins widely as Ryo makes his entrance. "I'm Hayato Nekketsu. Nice to meet ya." Hayato taps his shinai against his shoulder a few times as he takes a moment to size Ryo up, then slips forward into a ready stance as he sees some mention coming from the direction of the fight announcers. Looks like it's just about time. "Okay then... Let's see what you've got!"
A moment later the call comes for the fight to begin, and Hayato charges forward with a huge grin on his face. He really does enjoy this kind of thing. The teacher runs forward quite recklessly, sweeping back his right arm as he closes in. As he closes the distance Hayato starts swinging forward. The intent is to run to Ryo's side while slamming the 'blade' of the shinai into Ryo's stomach with a full armed swing.

That's not a terribly good start for Ryo, he'll have to admit. The swing slams STRAIGHT into the sides of the Kyokugen master just as he was trying to avoid the blow by leaning back -- as such, that makes it rather /extra/ painfull.

"Heh, that was pretty good!" Ryo lets out at the teacher as he reel back his fist. "But this just has just begun! RUUUUYAAAH!" The young man yells out as he crouches down a bit and then PROPEL himself upward in a flying uppercut, taking some advantage of the close quarters.

As Ryo and Hayato begin to battle, coming at each other full-tilt with as much force as they can muster, another man prowls the maintenance catwalks high above the actual stone arena. How he got access, one would never know (though it may well be assumed to be highly illegitimate means), but the fact remains that Kurow Kirishima has, this week, placed himself high above the arena. Why would be bother climbing up to such heights, one might ask.

The answer, of course, is that they provide an excellent location to fall -- or more accurately, /dive/ -- from. As Ryo pushes himself upward in a vicious uppercut, Kirishima flares out those fierce claws, grips the maintenance catwalks one last time, and then propels himself straight down toward the Kyokugen heir at full speed, aiming those claws right for the arm Ryo's /not/ using. He says nothing; his entrance is dramatic enough on its own.

COMBATSYS: Kurow has joined the fight here.

Well, at least getting socked in the jaw means Hayato doesn't need to worry about accidentally getting in the way of the falling ninja. That's not a huge amount of comfort, however, when his head is snapping back and he's staggering back several paces. His new position allows him to see Kurow's dive, and he manages to collect himself as Kurow reaches the floor. He knew that there was going to be some 'meddling' in this fight, so he's not particularly surprised... And at least know he knows where Kurow is, which will hopefully help when he has to deal with those claws himself.
After Kurow's strike toward Ryo, Hayato lunges back in with an attempt to grab the front of Sakazaki's gi in order to give the younger man a good shake. The gym teacher then suddenly releases his grip, while at the same time bringing his fist rocketing in toward the center of Ryo's face.

There is many things going on right now, so let's slow down the action just a little bit.

At the zenith of the Kohou, Ryo Sakazaki was about to go back down, home free, from his wonderful flying uppercut attack. That is, if he didn't notice a clawed shadow diving from even higher up. A very, very familiar shadow going straight for him. Ryo's eyes widens in surprise and throws himself straight out of the way of the Kirishima's trajectory, landing and rolling on the ground. He knew that freak was not hiding somewhere too far! Grah!

The Tiger then get back up in no time, turning to face his opponment again...and get grabbed by his gi. Too late to dodge, too late to mitigate, the only thing remaining is to take the blow like a man! And take it he does, even if a gigantic face punch HURTS like you wouldn't belive.

The three metre skidding on the ground certainly dosent help either.

Ryo staggers to his feets, holding his head a bit and smack it once to make the birds stop singing then shoot a look toward Kurow. Damn him! Even if his fight is not with HIM tonight, it's...It's may be best he end this quickly. Who knows what that psycho may do.

He crosses his arms, facing Hayaton from his distance. Pure bright blue energy spontanously gathers around him as he intones: "HAOOOOOH!"

A small shockwave of chi burst forth from his form, condensing into a gigantic fireball wave homing itself straight toward the Phys-Ed Teacher. "SHOOOO KO KEEEEN!"

Kirishima stops himself on the stone with a hand-stand, pushing off and flipping back to his feet in a seemingly-effortless maneuver; even all that momentum can be softened more than adequately with the right application of the same sort of chi that lets him levitate in a Yasha Guruma, after all.

Once again flaring out those claws, Kirishima glances between Ryo and Hayato, as the Kyokugen heir charges up that brutal Haoh Sho Ko Ken; he doesn't want to approach Hayato immediately, with that massive fireball still approaching. Instead, he runs along just behind it, and as the burst of chi either hits or passes the Burning Phys Ed Teacher, Kirishima finally strikes, coming in with a hard kick for Hayato's face.

COMBATSYS: Ryo successfully hits Hayato with Haoh Sho Ko Ken.

Hayato sees the massive fireball come racing toward him and he attempts to throw up his arms to defend himself. For a moment it seems like he'll be able to cover himself in time, but then the fireball explodes against him and sends him flying backwards. He's flying back quickly enough that Kurow's foot sweeps through the air where Hayato's head was just a few moments ago. The phys ed teacher hits the ground back first, rolling for a short distance before finally coming to a stop.
With a cough he drags himself back to his feet, giving his head a quick shake to clear his mind. "Ha! Not bad!" Once he's gotten his balance back, Hayato starts running back toward Ryo. After several paces he suddenly flings himself forward, holding his shinai out in front of him at a right angle to his body. A quick kick off of one leg just before he leaves the ground sends Hayato into a spin, with fiery orange chi erupting from his shinai and trailing off behind him as he spirals toward Sakazaki.

COMBATSYS: Hayato successfully hits Ryo with Burning Windmill.

The firey orange chi is pretty funny! It's the same color of Ryo's gi! Too bad it dosent remain the SAME color after the energy pass through.

Ryo Sakazki once again slides accross the Arena floor, most of his gi blackened by the burst of power of the attack. Grrrng. That guy's pretty darn good! It's going to be a /really/ close fight, he feels.

Or will be if that damned Ninja was not there. If he calculates right...he's going to go straight for him this time, and that could be the end of it. Time to make it count, the best he can.

The Tiger starts running toward Hayato, dashing and ignoring his pain. "HIEN SHIPPU KYAKU!" He shouts, leaping and flying like a blazing arrow toward the teacher in an astounding kick!

Ryo's calculations, such as they are, are correct; and unfortunately for Ryo, Kurow is a little less merciful with the Kyokugen heir than he was last time. Rather than going for a high-risk, high-reward maneuver like he's tried both previous times, he goes for something a little more standard, more mid-road; this is the spot where he feels he has a chance to dictate the outcome of the match.

Dashing in toward Ryo as the Kyokugen master flies through the air with a series of kicks, Kirishima decides to try something that might startle Ryo: a nearly perfect mirror of the technique the 24-year-old prodigy is attempting on Hayato right now. Launching forward, Kirishima swings his feet out in a series of alternating kicks at Ryo's back, crying out in a manner that might make some wonder if there isn't an echo, "Hien Shippu Kyaku!"

COMBATSYS: Hayato blocks Ryo's Hien Shippu Kyaku.

This time Hayato does manage to get his arms raised in time, bending back under the force of Ryo's foot striking him but managing to stay on his feet. And once Ryo rebounds off of Hayato's arms, the Kyokugen fighter is going to have to deal with Kurow kicking in from behind... which provides an excellent opportunity for Hayato to take advantage of. You don't show someone mercy in a fight unless they ask for it! Or are severely injured already. Or... Well, suffice it to say Hayato doesn't intend to hold back for Ryo's sake right now!
Surging forward, Hayato slashes out with a horizontal strike aimed across Ryo's chest, followed by swinging back in the opposite direction after he follows through. He then swings his arm up before bringing the shinai fiercely back down toward Ryo's collarbone. "Hyah!"

COMBATSYS: Kurow successfully hits Ryo with Fierce Strike.

There is something to be said about Ryo's reaction of Kurow's apparent mimicry of his trademark move: The Hien Shippu Kyaku.

If he was not already half-beatedn up, if he was fully aware, he'd say that was a pretty damn shoddy copy of his move. Oh, sure, everyone can do a flying kick, but it lacked the /glow/, which is rather integral in the move's success.

Still, by itself, it seems to do the job rather well and connects with Ryo's face solidly. The only thing that saved the Tiger was the fact he braced himself before the impact...and good thing he is. That attack bought him almost on the edge of the rope.

And then, Hayato comes...

"RHEAAAAAAAH!" Screams out the Sakazaki as he faces the incoming Hayato, crossing his arms just like before, chi gathering around him into an explosive aura of pure, brutal spiritual strength. "HAOH SHO KO--"

SLAM! BAM! SLASH!

"--KEN!"

The blows were enough, but the resulting explosion caused by all that chi exploding out unchecked slamed the nailed in for Ryo as he litteraly /BLASTS/ upward and SLAM into one of the support beams solidly enough to blast through it...and send more than a few pummelting to the ground.

Soon after, Ryo falls into a heap.

COMBATSYS: Kurow has left the fight here.
