JINCHUU: R6 - FINAL MATCH!                Sat Oct 27 2007  Seishirou

FINAL MATCH!! ARIKA vs. TIFFANY in "HEART OF THE PEOPLE"

At the assembly, the captain effectively declared martial law aboard the Suiryuu--there will be no fighting aboard the ship, on threat of grievous injury enforced by the army of M0M0 automata which have survived all manner of hell and high water visited upon them, and awakened once more by the earth shattering blast unleashed on the ship.

Once the captain unseals the door, a thin line of energy bleeds across the previously impermeable seam. The door gives way as if it were made of nothing at all. The sealed door blocking off the entire fore of the ship is open, and once it is, they come. From every part of the boat, the creations come. Natively attracted to chi, the M0M0 assemble in the massive space, passive, but awe-struck by the forces just barely keeping the ship afloat. They gather around the seal in the floor, the arena where the final battle is to be fought.

Though that space is by now well below water level, there is still breathable air there, and the walls just barely weep water. As the engineering master prepares emergency evacuation measures for the crew and fighters, the ship tilts ominously beginning its final descent to the bottom.

In that chamber, The People's Champion will be crowned.

JINCHUU: "Things Fall Apart"              Wed Oct 31 2007  Prime
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is over.

The final battle is complete. The tournament at an end. A winner has been chosen - one Tiffany Lords.

But there is no ceremony. There is no fanfare, no triumphant display to herald the victor. No. Instead, throughout the Suiryuu, the signal is given:

Evacuation procedures are to begin.

Hatches are opened, ladders are raised. The crew members of the great ship usher passengers and fighters alike out of the hold, up to the surface, to what remains of the main deck. The movement is orderly, efficient, but not without urgency. Already, flooding in the hull is reaching critical levels, water seeping through bulkheads...and the ship itself begins to tilt, as it sinks beneath the waves.

All are gathered atop the ship, on the highest points remaining. Beneath the sun and sky, surrounded by open water. For a time, there is no sign of rescue, no sign of relief...

..and then the ocean surface breaks, as two submarines emerge from the depths. One on each side of the wrecked tournament ship.

The submarine to port, a refurbished Soviet-bloc craft bearing the insignia of Rolento Schugerg's USPL. And the one to starboard...the infamous pirate ship of Bonne Jenet and her Lillian Knights.

It is then the announcement comes:

All passengers, prepare to disembark. Next port of call, Southtown Harbor.

((This is the last IC plot notification for Jinchuu. Please feel free to continue tournament-related RP; all epilogue scenes will be published under the [End] phase of the tournament. OOC information regarding Jinchuu's conclusion will follow shortly.))

JINCHUU Complete!                         Sun Nov  4 2007  Seishirou

JINCHUU: The Judgment of the Clans is complete!!

A glamourous and dangerous tournament held aboard the late Suiryuu, arena yacht of the Ryouhara clan, the tournament named TIFFANY LORDS as its champion after an intense two weeks of intense battle and mayhem. Bizarre circumstances surrounded the tournament from inception to completion. From random camera crews and interviews to a full out invasion by the ubiquitous "R" Organization, the tournament and its participants proved themselves to have the mettle to match the most legendary of fighting events!

Notably, fighting protest groups have begun to lobby the tournament, with Emily Vildotter citing it as "a figurehead for everything that's wrong with the sport" and its fighters essentially no more than "a glorified form of hostages." THe tournament's chief organizer, Seishirou Ryouhara, has taken some flak for this from those groups. His representative, the Suiryuu's Director of Operations "Hiretsu" [Editor: No last name was given] has issued commentary applauding the acts of the 'legendary agents of Jinchuu' and has defended the legitimacy of the tournament with the following statement: "What is real, is real. There is nothing else to say."

No matter what you make of that, the tournament's sales officer Riko Koganei has reported that DVD sales have not been affected at all by the event's detractors..

JINCHUU: L. Recompense (1/2)              Sun Nov  4 2007  Seishirou
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jinchuu's prize scaling was always a little murky--nobody quite knew exactly what or how people would be being compensated, but the word was, however it happened, it would be big. The word on the street turned out to be quite real.

While people were released from the boat with nary an inkling as to what to do to /receive/ payment, much of this is because the answer is: nothing. Cash will appear in bank accounts pretty much within the month for most, and overall, it will make for a very good month for them: a couple thousand will appear even in the accounts of the most dreary of tournament participants.

Anyone who helped in the invasion of "R" will receive a small bonus in their pay, along with a small Jinchuu pendant, marked with mystic text. Some of these may have been delivered personally.

Anyone who helped "R" are given six hundred U.S. dollars, and explicit reference to a P.O. Box made in Adelheid Bernstein's name, including a blank "requisition for services rendered" form, delivered to their homes or favorite vehicles. Presumably "R" has been sent the key to this P.O. Box.

Though not being paid quite as much as the fighters, Jinchuu's staff have all received stiff paychecks, with taxes already taken out. The payscale for managing crew (Security Chief, Director of Operations, Engineering Master, Captain, etc. etc.) is better in standard than normal staff and crew. It is not known how much the USPL or the Lillien Knights got paid.

JINCHUU: L. Recompense (2/2)              Sun Nov  4 2007  Seishirou
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Semi-Finalists (Zach, and Tenma) receive 80,000 dollars each, before taxes, as well as $20 gift cards for /the/ local haircut place in Southtown.

Finalist Arika Fade receives 190,000 dollars in total for her performance in the tournament, as well as her assistance against the "R" menace. This also includes a rather nebulous 'administrative bonus' item on the printout she was sent.

Tiffany Lords, Champion of Jinchuu, will receive over 760,000 dollars in payment and the Champion's Medallion of Jinchuu: Judgment of the Clans. This is a large gold medallion fire-engraved proclaiming her by name to be Champion Proleteriat of the 2007 People's Tournament.
(CHAMPION ART: http://wordpainter.net/~cait/art/jinchuu_tiffany.gif)

An undisclosed percentage of on-going royalties on sales and broadcast rights is also included, with 5% and 4% going to the winner and finalist, while varying undisclosed amounts going to most of the other participants in Jinchuu, mostly distributed with minds of how well their performance was in bonus matches. Percentages were even distributed to those who sided with "R", for an unknown reason.

JINCHUU: "Thx."                           Sun Nov  4 2007  Seishirou
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

it's hard to overstate my satisfaction.

Absolutely floored by everyone's level of participation right through to the end. With my mailbox full at 180 pieces of mail relating to this tournament and the logs page filled with 170 logs and climbing (I want to see epilogue scenes people e_e r you're not done yet!!), Jinchuu has been a stunning success for everyone involved. I'd like to thank everyone for their awesomeness, especially in handling the invasion of "R" during Jinchuu. I'll probably be getting scenes with a few of you over the next month to close things out.

In the staff--Megatron, Lazenca and Helios, thanks for making me some stat sets, playing Nikolai and pretty much signing off things at will for me and a few other things they probably won't want me calling attention to in board posts. (Ha ha ha, intrigue.)

Blackjack, for holding up their end of the bargain and creating political intrigue. e_e Your pay's in the trunk of my car, Elle. Why don't you come get it?

BIG ups to Sakura, Rugal and Riko, all of whom we couldn't have done this tournament without. Riko especially was a big pinch hitter and co-conspirator for the event. Additionally, everyone give Rugal big big kisses and hugs (yeah I'll get his ass with that >:)) for his completely ninja invasion of the tournament. He was literally going at like two or three places at once for the majority of that week. And yet STILL could handle more RPs. Like some kind of robot of uber. Actually kind of reminds me of Arika, who /probably appears in half the logs of Jinchuu in some form./ Damn RP robots.

Everyone in Jinchuu also probably wants to thank Marisol, Pas, (Sakura--again) and Tiffany for filling the yacht's bikini fanservice quota.

Also, I'd personally like to thank Katelynn, for making my life far more interesting. No seriously. :) You were great. Just don't page me with any more questions or I /will/ kill you. I'm not that thankful. :|!

And finally, a huge call out to Arika and Tiffany for an AWESOME last fight.

I do want to apologize to everyone for keeping them on the boat for awhile, but I'd say the journey and the result was well, well worth it. Rock on into the future guys. I'm going to return to my behind the scenes shadow plotting. Peace. :D (WE'RE DONE WE'RE DONE YAAAAAAAAY)
