TRUCKER - You know Katana's tractor-trailer? The truck he smashed into the side of the Suiryuu? Yeah, it's sorta been stuck there for a while. No longer, though. The Black Noah's attack FINALLY dislodged it. About time.
INVADER - If there's one thing Rugal Bernstein desires, it's power. The Suiryuu is power. That's why he tried to take it. That's why he and his men attacked the ship, strengthened by assistance from Kurow's Darkside Student Congress. Now, they've finally been defeated. But at what cost?
KAMIKAZE - The invasion ended with a bang. A /big/ bang. One that destroyed something like half the Suiryuu, the upper decks and superstructure. An explosion that killed most of the "R" soldiers on deck, and grievously wounded Rugal himself... an explosion of pure chi.
REACTOR - The spiritual energy gathered aboard the Suiryuu has served its purpose. It has begun...the final reaction.
CAPTAIN - Hiretsu confronted Rugal on deck. But with his makeup gone, and his disguise removed. The one called Hiretsu has revealed his true face: Seishirou Ryouhara. He's been Seishirou all along.
DEALERS - Blackjack supposedly reached a truce with the tournament organizers. They were supposed to help fend off "R". But then, the betrayal. A damning announcement by Marise. Katana and Birdie immediately turning on their allies. And now it seems Blackjack switched sides, quite firmly joining forces with Rugal. Why and how? Is there no honor among thieves?
AGENTS - It's been a long hard night for the Guardian Kings. Tenma, Kenji, and Hakuya. For the Shooting Stars too - Arika, Eva, and Himeko. Marisol, Preston, and Luc have felt their share of pain. As have the others in the tournament, or caught on board - Aranha, Katelynn, Hotaru and others. What reward will there be for their brave efforts? Will there be any reward at all?
CLONES - By now, the story of the robot Momo has made its way around. And in the chaos of the invasion, more of the nightmarish duplicates were revealed. What purpose could an army of mechanical tennis players possibly serve?
CRIMINAL - And then there is Nikolai, still. The reason for his presence is still not clear, but....
POLICEMAN - ...Soma, undercover officer of Interpol, has received a direct clue. He has been told by Seishirou, in no uncertain terms, that somewhere there is a safe deposit box waiting for him. A box with the reason for his Jinchuu involvement resting within. It only remains to be seen...what Soma will do.

As dawn comes, the Black Noah looms over the tournament ship. The would-be counterattack has been routed. The fighters of the tournament have been defeated. Worst of all, they have been betrayed - many of their number choosing to side with Rugal.
"R" soldiers have effectively occupied the Suiryuu, seizing the bridge and main deck. Rebels have been rounded up and locked into their cabins. Those still resisting have been forced deeper into the hull, down to the lower levels of the Suiryuu. And now Rugal Bernstein himself has come aboard...to claim his prize.
Then it happens. A massive amount of chi, an overwhelming spiritual presence, rising from the heart of the ship. All the runic seals engraved around the Suiryuu blaze to full intensity, their energy spiralling higher and higher and higher...
..until /release/. An explosion rocks the Suiryuu, a blaze reaching towards the heavens. In the space of a heartbeat, it consumes the ship, turning what was once a seagoing vessel into mere floating wreckage.
Through some mysterious power, the lower levels of the Suiryuu have remained largely intact, their occupants shielded from the blast. Those up on deck were not so lucky. But even so, what's left of the Suiryuu...is sinking. And yet, amid these dire conditions, the tournament must be completed.
All good things must come to an end.
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned

!! MATCH DEADLINE IS: Monday, October 29th, 11:59pm !!
It's been one hell of a ride. Ladies and gents, you've been wonderful. The RP has been incredible. Major kudos to each and every one of you.
And now...the beginning of the end. We've only got two formal matches this round. There's a week's deadline, but if the fights finish early we'll proceed straight to the final battle - and name the winner of Jinchuu.
But until that happens? You're still on the boat. And right now the Suiryuu's not a great place to be. Round 4.5 ended in a bang. A bang that destroyed something like half the ship. Casualties on deck were massive, with heavy losses among Rugal's men, with Rugal himself injured. Yet it was clearly a controlled explosion - the cabins where hostages were held were shielded by mysterious fields of chi. That same chi covered the lower levels of the ship, protecting everyone in the hull.
Mind, it wasn't comfortable to ride that blast out. You're still breathing, but you might wish otherwise. And now...what's left of the ship is sinking. But it isn't just sinking. The seals around the ship are still glowing. There's still a massive amount of chi around the Suiryuu, and it doesn't seem to be fading. An ethereal glow suffuses the wreck as it slowly slips beneath the waves.
It is in this situation...that Seishirou calmly announces the tournament /will/ be concluded. And yes, it's Seishirou himself who says this - emerging publically for the first time in the tournament. Wearing Hiretsu's uniform - his makeup and disguise gone. He's been masquerading as Hiretsu all along. This revelation, though, does not change his edict:- The semifinal matches /will/ proceed, and then the final battle of Jinchuu. Provision has been made to evacuate the Suiryuu, but only after a winner has been chosen.
Question is, after everything that's happened...can you believe him?

Obviously we're hoping this phase will be as short as possible. But keep RPing! Wander around the sinking wreckage, be completely horrified at the destruction. For all scenes this round, assume that the Main Deck, Promenade Deck, and Superstructure of the Suiryuu have been destroyed. They just /aren't there/ anymore. The cabins remain, but they were close to the blast and probably unsafe for continued habitation. There is also significant damage to the lower hull, and rampant flooding. The ship is falling apart.
And what's left of the Suiryuu is /glowing/. The massive explosion was caused by a release of chi...and that chi's still present. You don't need to be spiritually sensitive to tell. There's so much energy it's visible to the naked eye, lines of force shifting through all colors of the spectrum.
Above all though, the ship is /sinking/. With the structural integrity so badly compromised, there's no way the Suiryuu can be saved. It's only a matter of hours before she goes under, and all scenes should ICly take place within this span. Seishirou, Riko, and the surviving crew insist there is an evacuation plan, but it will only be implemented once the tournament is complete. There will be...consequences if anyone tries to leave early.

[SEMIFINAL] ARIKA vs. ZACH in "TITANIC"
There is nothing left of the Suiryuu's upper decks but shattered timber and tilted, twisted metal plate, bent at nightmarish angles. From the approach angle of the blast from Suiryuu's inner heart, most of this space is at the aft deck and amidships, and even much of this is steadily dissintegrating, cracking and falling apart. Given as how it's still quite a drop to the waterline and engineering spaces--with jagged lines of architecture to greet a body all the way down. With wicked points and twisted metal everywhere, this is where Arika has been ordered to fight Zach. It's... one of the few places on the Suiryuu /still standing/. Even if only just so. Well, luckily for Eva, at least that damnable trash compactor was vaporized in the blast.
[SEMIFINAL] TENMA vs. TIFFANY in "LAST DIVE"
In happier times, this was the engine room of the Suiryuu, the largest single compartment aboard the ship. It's even bigger now that the bulkhead partitions have split, opening through to other chambers in the hull. And there's water, lots of water, pouring in through great rents in the hull, through ruptured plates, moisture streaming down the groaning walls, dripping from the ceiling. The engines of the ship are silent, and by now partially submerged. In fact, there's more water than solid surface in this compartment, a vast indoor ocean with scattered islands of solid "ground". Or perhaps not so solid. The footing is bad here. The bits of machinery sticking above water are unstable. The few intact catwalks and ladders...may not remain so. And the only illumination is the strange light cast by the seals, raw spiritual essence flickering across the water...

[SPECIAL ASSEMBLY] SEISHIROU and RIKO in "CROWD CONTROL"
"Hey, HEY," Riko yells, looking at the gathered fighters. Water sloshes around the ninja girl as she stamps her foot. "Settle down! Everything's under control! Nobody's supposed to leave until the tournament's finished! Just SIT DOWN and SHUT UP!"
"Mn," a wounded Seishirou agrees, hands in pockets. "All of our agents have survived the explosion... as expected. But none of you are leaving. If you have to attend to your injuries, do so as best you can. We'll all bleed until we realize the Champion of the People. Does anyone want to object?" he asks, pointfully.

[FAQ] ASK SEI! ASK RIKO!
We've had a lot of crazy things go down in this tournament. Unfortunately, not all of the plot hooks have been resolved on-camera, and things that have been aluded to probably ain't that clear. So! If there's anything you want to know, now's your time to ask. The Sei and Riko scene on Thursday is IC. But we'll also be fielding questions OOCly. If you're wondering what the deal with all the chi was, who that Nikolai guy was anyway, what the hell was going on with Blackjack... or anything else, let us know and we'll clear it up. @mail Seishirou or Riko/Prime.
The answers will be posted after the final match, in the [End] section. Given the whole faux-fighting game feel of the logs section, we obviously need end credits and extras, right?
