Rose has no idea how this place came to be. It reminds her of something from a horrible television advertisement; she half-expects to see a plush steam-powered Tran doll hanging up in the rafters.
A central place - though not a very large one - has been set in the rough middle of this particular poor business model. The cameras are put behind the checkout counter, as well as a few up in the ceiling; it would be distressingly easy, however, to leave the small-sized ring and go into the warren of the store, with its vast arrays of teddy bears and faintly fragrant plastic explosives.
Rose, for her part, is sitting in a metal fold-out chair near the ring and eating a cracker in anticipation of battle. You don't want to eat heavily; everyone always aims for a gut punch.
What is the Saturday Night Fight administration -thinking-? ... is what Hokuto is thinking, as she arrives at the fight venue. Not terribly familiar with explosives, she's still put off by the place visually... and that weird smell. Plus the sign: "Crazy Zhin's Teddy Bear and C4 Outlet".
"This is going to end badly for someone," she muses, as she looks around. Nose wrinkling, she spots the cleared center arena and nods. All the cameras are mostly out of the way, and the arena is obvious. Dressed in her traditional fighting uniform, Hokuto probably looks out of place as she enters the arena. Rose is here--but Mignon is not, yet.
Comparing the woman sitting before her to the picture she committed to memory, Hokuto nods. "Rose-san," she says, politely, as she slips over to her team's side of the ring, waiting patiently.
Yes. Mignon is not. Not YET. But that's only for so long, and who KNOWS when she'll be there by!? In truth, this is Mignon's first debut on live television! And while she's no Athena, mignon is certainly really into doing better than she has in her past attempts of these fighting things! And she's going to give it all she has.
When she GETS there. Mignon overslept JUST a bit. And at first, Mignon thought that it was a joke. Why would one put such cuuuute widdle bears next to those mean, horrible C4 things? What does C4 EVEN MEAN!? But Mignon doesn't need to care... because she doesn't know! And rushing into the building, and through the crowd, Mignon is easy to hear coming. Perhaps it's the PIKU PIKU PIKU sound that her baubles make when they flash. Or perhaps it's her voice. "Don't start! Mignon is late, Mignon is sorry, Mignon's here, don't start yet!"
And as she crashes through the crowd, or at least the building, Mignon comes towards the small ring. "Mignon's he-WOAH!" And then tumbles off of the ring, going rolling, and ending up in a pile of Teddy bears. Buried in them. Hugging one close to her, Mignon gets up. "Mignon's okay~, No one worry!" And hugging that object, Mignon suddenly realizes it's NO BEAR. And she just drops it into the bears. "AIEE.. Mignon doesn't know what that is but it's not as good as a teddy weddy bear..." Oh .. wair.
Looking around, Mignon remembers. "Well okay, Mignon's here! Mignon's ready too!"

Rose smiles at the approaching Hokuto and the fantastic Magical Girl. She gestures a bit with her cracker from her seat: "Don't worry," she says. "I'm told that this material will only go off in the face of a proper electrical discharge, or when under pressure. You could use it as campfire fuel, if you didn't mind the smell!"
She looks for a moment towards Mignon - and then the referees and camera crew give the one-minute warning. Rose stands up, moving over to offer Mignon a hand up in passing, and then steps into the rather compact 'ring'. Then she finishes the cracker with a faint crunch, one hand going to her hip as she waits. "Be careful," she says when only ten seconds remain: "This place may be more dangerous than it seems..."
FIGHT! comes the signal, about six seconds after Rose stops talking, and she doesn't waste time. Perhaps she intends to teach these young women about the meaning of responsibility and preparedness in battle? Either way, she seems almost to dive forwards towards the dainty form of Mignon, crouching slightly and aiming a glittering scarf-wrapped hand up towards the witch's midsection. If Rose's dainty fist doesn't sting, the glittering Soul Power in the scarf likely will!

.. Proper electrical discharge or when under pressure? "Oh.. really? Mignon didn't know .. guess Mignon will have to make sure that she watches her magic or we could all go KABOOOM!" She extends her hands to help explain just how KABOOM she means. that's a large Kaboom! And as Rose dices towards the dainty form of Mignon, Mignon blinks. "Oh are we started? Oka-AIEEE!" She flails as the scarf rapped hand comes towards Mignon's midsection. The soul power AND fist though meet air.
Mignon, meanwhile, is flipping over Rose, having kicked off the ground a mere moment or two before she had a chance, and intends to land behind her .. but why?
"That was sure fast miss! Mignon's surprised she was able to get out of the way, but Mignon has to try.. So Mignon won't hold anything back either, okay? Weeeee~!" She cries out before landing, bouncing once with a PIKU.
And twisting about, Mignon already goes into the offensive. "Divine wind spirit!" Mignon cries out, backing off once in a spin as chi manifests itself as a tornado, no matter her miniature, and rushes towards Rose, attempting to tear about her with the magical whims of Mignon!
Windystorms are sure to blow people away!
Hokuto's composure doesn't crack at the arrival of Mignon--but it's a near thing. In fact, she experiences the slightest crack... but really, Mignon somewehat reminds her of her own younger sister and so, with that thought in place, Hokuto regains control.
She nods to Rose's assessment of the danger of their arena, then draws back slightly, standing somewhat next to Mignon at least for the start of the fight. Of course, with Rose coming in, that will likely change very quickly. Still, even with the approach of her opponent, Hokuto doesn't flinch. She pivots, and watches, and Rose can, likely, feel the intensity of her gaze.
Really. Oh, she's also moving--a deliberate sidestep around towards Rose's side.

Rose got given a briefing on the topic by the owner! In broken English. But then, she could read his mind, what little there was, and that always makes conversation easier. "I try," she says in reply to Mignon, her head turning to follow the witch as she leaps up in the air and bounce-pikus. Rose straightens up...
Hokuto's motion is noted, but Rose has other problems to deal with - windy ones. She is faced with the problem of how to avoid being slammed back or cut into; she deals with both by simply, and briefly, vanishing for an instant, reappearing once the wind has flown its way past her, gathering against one of the racks and...
Oh dear, is it teetering backwards? Rose doesn't notice clearly. Her eyes flick to Hokuto's side, and instead of striking towards Mignon, she twists around in a piroutte, arcing her scarf out in a trailing spiral at her side. "Ha!" she cries; the scarf itself is soft and fluffy and harmless, but the Soul Power in it is much less so.
And with Rose .. just vanishing, Mignon gapes. Her mouth hangs open, and looks on. That.. that... THAT BRINGS UP QUESTIONS. "H-Hey!" Mignon points towards Rose, gasping a bit. "Was that .. was that Magic?! Mignon knows it's magic, you can't fool her, so tell Mignon how you did that magic! Mignon saw Ninon do that too so Mignon is certain it's magic so tell Mignon!" She stomps her foot once, a PIKU, resounding from it. But it seems that the windy strike has caused a teetering, and Mignon can't have that!
"Mignon will make you tell.. but right now Mignon doesn't like how that's falllliiiiing~!" She runs towards it to put it back up, something not a teddy clonking her in the head before she shakes it. "Ooow.. Mignon didn't know they were heavy too..." Rubbing her head, she looks at Rose ... oh no, she can't leave her ally .. no.. probably friendly person alone to be beaten on even if Hokuto did that to her. She's experienced it with Ninon before.
"Up and over! Up up and up!" Mignon kicks backwards off the ground, doing a back flip, once, twice, inverting and then launching into the air.
And then coming down towards Rose, with both. And her battlecry? "MEEEEEEEEOW! Mignon pounces towards the opposition!" Well.. she IS heading in two fists/baubles first!

... another teleporter. Hmm. Hokuto just recently encountered a woman who had the same sort of ability to just disappear and reappear. She was jealous of it then and she's jealous of it now... at least sort of. Of course, even in her mild jealousy, she's still paying attention...
But that doesn't seem to matter much right then and there. Her attempt to avoid the attack is for naught, as she's caught by the twisting spiral of Psycho Power that's contained by the scarf. And it proves to be quite powerful; Hokuto gasps out, in pain... but she regains her senses and, despite everything, charges straight in. As Hokuto runs in, she's reaching into her sleeves--and producing weapons.
They prove to be tessen--war fans--though with dull edges, not sharp. As she closes with Rose, she begins twirling and spinning, striking out with a series of dancing blows for the purple-haired woman.

Rose shakes her head once and raises her index finger: "It is not magic. It is -" But then Mignon keeps talking, so Rose, not wanting to be rude, remains quiet. She watches as Mignon makes her attempt to salvage the situation, getting thwopped in the head by plastique for her troubles, and then --
Fans! Beating and bludgeoning into her body! Rose is thrown back by the rough onslaught, bringing an arm up in an effort at defense a moment too late to do her any good. The dress isn't torn but she's bruised beneath it, and when Mignon makes her kitty-powered attack, Rose leaps up after her - and misses hard enough to be struck in the shoulder, letting out a hiss of brief pain and landing, hard enough to break a heel, on the floor.
She pauses to kick off her shoes. "Have you two ever worked together?" she asks, while getting them out of the way.
Mignon strikes rwar! And she strikes head on, instead of being caught in the air. Mignon's lucky! But Mignon's been trying her hardest for so long that eventually, by law of averages alone, Mignon gets out of something. And this time, she does with flying colors .. or well, because she's a speedy cat!
Landing on the ground, Mignon rolls and bounces to her feet. "TAAD-AAAH~!" Before she cups her hands, changing her voice as well. "A three point landing, done by the witch Mignon! And the crowd goes wiiiiild~!" Mignon stops and giggles a bit. "Mignon couldn't resist!" Well, hopefully Rose doesn't mind. "Mignon knows it's magic .. don't lie to Mignon .. Mignon's seen magic before, because Mignon's a witch!" But Rose distracts her, somehow, long enough for her to forget. "Hmm? Oh, nope, Mignon's never met them .. ever! Never ever never never ever ever never!" She does at the end, bouncing at each word on her feet.
Oh .. but Mignon should probably get back out there, and so she does! Launching towards Rose, Mignon flips forwards, in an attempt to land nearby her... and then use the speed she's gathered from the leapto start to spin around, holding out her hands. "Fwoop-de-woop~!" .. Whatever that means! Mignon's holding out her hands, the baubles, somewhat more solid than flesh, held out as she spins on her heels! It's a Mignon copter! .. On the ground!
"This is the first time I've met Beart-san," replies Hokuto, calmly, finally taking a moment to take stock of her injuries. Hurts, of course--and in some weird way that isn't entirely physical... feels kind of like she's been shocked or scorched metaphysically. That definitely wasn't chi. "But I think she and I can work well together," she adds, glancing over at Mignon. Hokuto may be reserved and reticent, but she isn't inhuman...
... but Mignon might be. Nanase isn't quite so... bubbly. Thank god. Hokuto almost facepalms. But there's no time to be long-suffering--she has a fight to do. "You hit quite hard," she comments, to Rose, as she lunges forward, crossing the distance between the Psycho Powered warrior and herself, turned towards her right... reinforcing her left elbow with her right hand as she elbow-thrusts towards Rose's sternum.

"It's Soul Power," Rose explains, with a wave of a fingertip: "Perhaps it's like magic, but -" Hm, she thinks as the two younger women start moving; this is a bit difficult, isn't it? She can track one person relatively easily. Two, especially when they're swift and possibly insane, is more difficult!
Spinning Mignon hits Rose in the side, sending her to the side with an inhaled hiss of pain as she narrows her eyes, not in anger but simple physical reaction. They may know her weak spot - or her relatively weak spot, anyway. Rose breathes in sharply, twisting around to face Hokuto when she comes towards her, bringing her arm up with the scarf sheathing it to absorb the force of that blow aimed right towards her voluminous chest. The impact, even so, makes her stagger.
She steps back, then, and breathes in more deeply: "You're both working together quite well; I should be glad you aren't MORE experienced?" She shimmers as she says this, light flickering out of her and then seeming to come back in, stronger and brighter. Not magic, she claims. But she's certainly gathering MORE of it.

Oh wow, someone actually answered that? After Mignon spins, her baubles slamming into Rose as she finishes, dizzy afterwards as Mignon comes to a stop, staggering back a bit. "Oooh.. Mignon can see a whole lot of you!.. And Soul Power? Oooh. Mignon's never heard of soul power! That must be prettttty special!" Mignon bounces a bit, regaining her balance.
Really, you try spinning and find yourself easy to stand afterwards. But Hokuto said something! So Mignon, clearly, must respond. "Mignon is totally happy to work with you too, because Mignon thinks you're REALLY good, mhmm!" Raising a hand though, Mignon points it forwards.
"And I guess Mignon isn't too experienced cause this is her first thing like this! Mignon's trying her bestest though so watch out, because Mignon's going to call upon her magic!" Your weakness Rose? Mignon was just preparing .. PREPARING FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS!
"Fire!" Extending both hands, Mignon fires a ... FIRE BALL, towards Rose. It's burning! And chi. Mignon's gloves however. "... Yeeouch! Ow owww... why does that keep happening!?" She blows out her hands. Fire .. Burns! "Ouch ouch owww."
Not magic. But not chi. 'Soul Power'. Hokuto files that away for later. Perhaps that Luise woman uses something similar. However... "Thank you, Mignon," replies the young Mizugami scion. Were she not occupied with something that is hovering at the edges of her thoughts like a shadow, she might be more properly appreciative.
However, it also looks as though Rose is goign to have to deal with a -fireball-. An honest to god fireball... Hokuto can use that. She moves in a sinuous, weaving motion... weaving behind the fireball and then -beside- it, as she drops low, planting her hands on the ground...
And then scything her right leg around in a low, sweeping kick.

Not magic! Rose might be thinking, if she doesn't take Mignon with a grain of salt. "I do my best," she answers without quite thinking about it, perhaps assuming the magical girl means her. Then, of course, THE PAIN begins: The spray of fire! Followed closely, of course, by the sweeping kick of the other girl, both of which end up being blocked; the scarf absorbs much of the fire, although Rose still steps back, raising one leg to partly deflect the incoming kick with an audible thwap.
"Fhew," she says aloud, raising the scarf and snapping it out like a whip to her side. "Well done!" she says, perhaps in general, before snapping the scarf out again, leaning slightly back as she shouts, perhaps gratuitously, "Soul Spark!" At her back, a bit of light gleams, running down along her arm and along the scarf to streak out towards Hokuto, perhaps solely because the non-magical girl is closer. The light swells into a spherical glob, trailing sparkling light behind it and coruscating through a dozen shades of pastel color during its voyage!
Oh.. YAY!
Why would one say yay? Mignon is leaping up and down! "Grammy did ya' see, I didn't fail with it this time!" She's ecstatic about it for some reason. Not because she missed all the time, but because this time she CLEARLY mastered how it works. Because Rose certainly was hit by it! Mignon is all happy.
And as she prevents the assault, Rose taking both the kick and the fire, fire with scarf, Mignon marvels. "Oooh. Mignon wants to hear about that more later, okay?" Because her scarf is AMAZING.
Really amazing. But Mignon can't just stop. "Thanks miss!" Mignon responds to Rose with, before looking over to Rose. "You're Welcome Miss HokutooooO~, Mignon just tries her best!" And for such an example, Mignon flips forwards once .. and kicks off a teddy bear display! The Teddy bears go flying, and Mignon, she goes flying too. "W-WOAAAH! MIGNON DID NOT PLAN FOR THIS!" Towards Rose! Feet first, but less than planned!
She didn't mean for it either!

... blasted, again. Hokuto's efforts at avoiding Rose's attacks have been terribly unsuccessful; she makes a token attempt at avoiding only to get blasted again. She's thrown backwards, skidding along the open surface of the arena floor. Unh. Whoever Rose is, she hits -hard-. Mignon's been pretty lucky so far that she -hasn't- been pasted by Rose...
Yet, Hokuto shows no signs of giving up. She rises to her feet, once more, ignoring smudges on her clothes, ignoring, as much as she can, the pain coursing through her body. This, too, is 'training'...
Once again, Hokuto takes a moment to focus herself, to settle her racing heart. Control, control, her style and her fighting philosophy revolve around control...

Rose brings her scarf back around, ready to send something else flying in the direction of Mignon to follow up her successes, gathering her inner soul and her power --
Then Mignon flies blindly through the air on a completely unplanned trajectory. She slams into Rose's left breast with one dainty foot, sending Rose back with a sudden look of pain. The blast of Soul Power streaks out blindly into the alleys full of explosives!
Uh oh.
What.
Mignon didn't MEAN for this to happen, and it seems almost like her planning doesn't mean anything at all, but with her luck, Mignon however, does have one thing. She doesn't eat the blast of soul power. But kicking off of Rose, Mignon flips backwards.
There is an alley of explosives.
While Mignon is not the most exactly SMARTEST person ever, Mignon has some grasp on things. "Mmm.. What's C4 again? Mignon's not sure..." And then it EXPLODES. Mignon's eyes watch as the C4 explodes. And she would get down.
BUT. But.
Mignon notices one thing. This was a C4 and /TEDDY BEAR DEPO/. "TEDDIES!" Mignon cries out as the explosives begin to douse her yell. And leaving Hokuto alone, Mignon leaps out of the battle, perhaps for a bit, and begins to collect the teddies.
And throw them out of the building. "Mignon will save you! Mignon will save you! Don't worry teddies, Mignon won't let anything bad happen to you!" She stays low .. There's C4. Staying low doesn't do much.
Mignon might see that iiin a bit.

Probably Soul Power doesn't set off C4. Probably. Maybe? It'd be obvious by now... that it does. Hokuto kind of stares at Mignon, for just a moment. Just a moment... before she remembers the girl's essentially a very young girl who just happens to have 'magical' powers and fighting prowess.
Ignoring the explosion, and putting aside the fact of her very-much-aloneness against a superior foe... Hokuto was taught, expressly, never to give up, and to trust in herself. Which is what she will just have to do... as she moves forward again, once again moving forward in a sinuous wave-like pattern...
And once again she drops low. But it's a fake as she rises up, lunging at Rose with a shoulder that--should it connect--will be followed up with an elbow strike from her right.

As Mignon leaps after the teddy bears and C-4 blocks shaped like teddy bears, Rose is relieved for a moment - not for long, though. She can sense Hokuto's incoming strike, but she's too sore now to avoid it easily; she twists partially to the side, letting out a brief yelp at the shoulder and its followed up elbow strike. She staggers back near the chair where she stood originally, wobbling for a moment.
Then she sees a peculiar branch of the future - in fact, it makes her look off to the side with a completely puzzled expression. This may seem like a sign of advancing senility, especially when Rose's next action is to heft that folding chair up with both hands, raising it above her head.
"This was not done by me," she says with apology in her tone. "It was done through me." And then she screams, lunging forwards to swing it down towards Hokuto's head!
And then Mignon watches as she moves half of the bears... Leaping to get moor when suddenly WHAM. A fluffy object hits her at a rather high speed, causing her to fall to the ground. Mignon holds onto Mr. Bear, who's smiling. What a cute, happy, fluffy bear.
Who is missing half of his body waist lower.
Unfortunately, half the of bears are also exploded, due to being BEAR BOMBS. But tell this to Mignon, who just got laid flat out from the force of the explosion sending a bear at her. But Mignon looks on to the bears.
And holds Mr. Bear. And looks back and forth, sniffing at Rose, nodding a few times..
And then bursting out into tears. "Mignon couldn't save all the teddy weddies...!" She says once, while hugging that half a bear and sitting sprawled on her legs, while crying.

... right. Rose is a little insane maybe yes? A little oh BATSHIT CRAZY? Hokuto certainly thinks so. The folding chair strike--a time-honored tradition ever since puroresu became a force to be reckoned with. And Rose certainly seems to be imbued with teh soul of puroresu. Hokuto, as the chair starts descending... ducks low. It has two effects, really.
The first is, she is able to soften the blow. The second is that she's able to bring her leg around for that scything kick that she's used before... only this time, a rainbow aura of her own chi accompanies the strike, meant to sweep Rose the hell off her feet...
How embarrassing, Rose thinks, as that foot scythes out and hits her in the leg. That blow continues forwards, but Rose topples as well, letting out a yelp of surprised distress as she ends up falling backwards, landing on the linoleum floor with a meaty thump and her legs half-splayed out. She doesn't get up right away.
She does, though, raise a hand: "You win!" she says, before turning her head, eyes half-shut with the transient swell of a headache, towards where there is distant teddy-related bawling.

IN THE C4 AND TEDDY BEAR STORE ... there is crying. And Mignon continues to for a bit, even after watching as Rose falls over, Mignon only spares a glance, some of the fluff of the teddy comes out as she hugs it so hard, and nods. "M-M-Mhm... I guess Mignon won..." But it doesn't FEEL like a victory.
Mainly, because she's unhurt. And then also, because Mignon is sitting in a teddy bear graveyard, hugging a bear .. that may not make it. Hugging the bear and twisting her body a bit each way, Mignon finally turns to Rose, before sniffing and nodding. "M-Mignon's happy .. and Mignon doesn't blame you miss .. M-Mignon didn't know you were going to that .. Mignon would have leapt into the way if she knew..." Sniff. And then she nods once more .. and hugs the half a bear either tighter.
But she doesn't get up.
KO?
... fight's over? Fight's over. Hokuto doesn't even get up; she just flops onto her butt and phews. And rubs her head. Damn steel chairs. They hurt. She doesn't even look up when the announcement's made--too busy getting her head together (almost literally!) Finally, she rises, waving off the SNF officials and their medics.
Instead, she walks over to Rose and Mignon, and though she seems a bit unsteady, she manages to smile at them both. "Nh...you two are both excellent fighters. It was my pleasure to compete with you both. Perhaps sometime we well find ourselves on the same side... I'm sure the teddy bears are fine, Mignon."
Something about that girl... ah well. _Now_ Hokuto gives herself over to the medics...
