The battle between the Blacknoah and Suiryuu has raged for many a bloody hour. The air has been livid with the sounds of war, cannon and explosions. Throughout the chaos, under executive order the fighters still battle, in spite of the hellish din. Now, night falls over the boat, and most of the soldier contingent have either been defeated, chased off, or outright captured. Unfortunately, that isn't the long and short of the Suiryuu's problems.
There's still the matter of the EMP net over the ship, despite the damage Pacific Resistance and the Guardian Kings have done to it. The clamps and helicopters hovering over the deck. The guns of the Blacknoah. Though the Suiryuu battles quite magnificently, and her agents of Jinchuu struggle valiantly, the ship is in a bad way. Though its powers are great, its resources are limited in the face of the great Blacknoah. It will be "R"'s by tomorrow's dawn if every man and woman aboard the ship does not act for themselves and for Jinchuu.
Because.. the second wave has come.

Nice job guys. This current round is labelled R4.5. This is because this current round is merely an /extension/ of Round 4. As a result, some of the same rules apply. Basically, what's going on is that we're all going into overtime on this round. We were hoping to get a deadline of Wednesday for you folks so we can get R5 going, but I think a little extension will be welcome, given what we've all cooked up for you.
Five big mission scenes, five days. If you guys are prepped and ready to get into the plot, every person aboard Suiryuu will be compelled to attend. For those of you that might have sustained injuries during round 4, /do not worry/ about not RPing in this round--after Rugal's initial invasion, trained medics from the Suiryuu's sickbay (we do have one, amusingly) will be around giving the fighters shots of their HEAL sigs and sexy bandage jobs where appropriate.
Scenes will generally be organized based on 'whoever's there and amiable when the mission leader starts the scene.' Keep in mind.. not everyone might be able to make it into a single scene--preference will be given to people who haven't participated in a mission yet. Most /should/ consider themselves agents of Jinchuu for the purposes of organization, but all "R", "R"-aligned, and Darkside Student Congress members should probably consider themselves as defenders with Blacknoah. Poor embattled faction fighting against AN ENTIRE TOURNAMENT BASE :D
Also, the scenes are organized by schedule and 'roughly' in the IC order in which they occur. They will happen in fairly close time to one another, but it's advisable for those of you who want to get in on different scenes to simply not worry about that. The missions are pitched in a relatively cellular style. Those of you who need to be aboard the Blacknoah for a scene but didn't get in on one of the insertion missions don't need to worry, there's plenty of fudge room. This also works in the reverse. You don't HAVE to attend every scene after that once getting involved. If you want to appear in multiple scenes, go ahead--so long as you can explain it in a semi logical fashion.
In short, don't worry about scheduling or 'how to get there,' or you'll never stop worrying about the details. We've worried about all the important details already, and moved them carefully out of your way. Just go have fun, damnit. :)
Who woulda thought that running a tournament would be such a feat of /logistics/?

[SPECIAL MISSION] ARIKA leads in "MAID BRIGADE"
FROM ARIKA:
Operation 'Boston Tea Party' was a success... for the most part. We were coordinated, and we looked damn good doin' it... where was I? Oh, right. Seems like we've been found out, but it really couldn't 'ave been 'elped. 'ad to get those blighters off the ship somehow. Due to our 'laundry' run, 'owever, it looks like those bloody ninja think we're the flippin' maids!!! Whatever. We need to work to get that massive steel EMP nettin' off the Suiryuu so that the ship can escape and get those remainin' on board to safety. We likely won't be alone out there, so any 'elp we can round up will be extremely important - especially since we seem to be missing a certain lil' Hurricane. So let's get this done as quick as possible, earn us some merit badges and see if we can't find a way to get 'er back.
[OBJECTIVES]
* Clear all the EMP netting off the Suiryuu, so the ship can actually move.
* Provide a distraction so Agents of Jinchuu can counter-attack the Black Noah.

[SPECIAL MISSION] HIRETSU leads in "OPERATOR"
FROM OPS DIRECTOR HIRETSU:
Attention all agents of Jinchuu and related personnel. This is a general announcement. Due to the sudden outbreak of piracy aboard the ship, the captain has authorized all agents to act as temporary deputies of the Security Chief in Charge Sakura Kasugano. Due to the lack of suitable boarding equipment aboard the Suiryuu, the Shijou Pachinko Taihou will once more be made of use. All available hands are to gather in Special Bay 11 for launch. Please wear warm clothing.
Also, due to an unforeseen shortage in weaponry, demolitions equipment will not be provided.
Extraction methods will be determined at some point after success of the operation.

FROM SECURITY CHIEF SAKURA:
Hey, we're gonna need your help! You MAY HAVE NOTICED a huge friggin battleship that's pulled alongside the Suiryuu! Arika's team's helpin' to cut us loose, but if we don't put a stop to Mr. Bernstein's battleship, we're gonna be dead in the water as soon as we move. So! We're going aboard the Black Noah! But once we're there, we're gonna need at least two squads here... one to attack the engine room, and one to knock out their weapons! If we can do that, we'll be home free! If not, well... hope you folks are good at swimmin'!
FROM CHIEF ENGINEER RIKO:
You'll pardon Sakura-senpai! She gets...enthusiastic. Now, most of you will be joining us aboard the Black Noah via Special Bay 11. Though some of you will be swimming, floating, rowing, or, like, travelling by budget airline or somethin'. But once we're there, we need to move fast. Like really fast. Like Sakura-senpai said, we need to hit 'em hard as we can. Primary objectives are weapons on deck - though we'll need a team to go belowdecks to wreck the engines. Remember, this ship's old Soviets surplus or somethin'. I don't think she's under warranty!

FROM ELLE:
For the rest of us with at least one lone functioning brain cell, a cannon isn't an option. We need reliable, ready to go transport to move troops on and off the Black Noah. You already know the drill. They're not going to just hand us a functioning helicopter no matter how much cleavage Birdie shows.
I need as many heartbeats as I can get on center deck to help me snag one or more of Rugal's choppers. So if you got friends, bring them. For those of you that don't know what a friend is, it's a person you don't have a reflexive urge to punch toothless.
I probably shouldn't have to say this, but I will anyway. I need the choppers in functioning condition. If those birds don't fly, neither do you.
You have your orders.

[SPECIAL MISSION] RUGAL leads in "The Bigger They Are..."
FROM RUGAL:
Desperation has driven the guests of the Ryouhara to swim, be shot, or fly themselves aboard the Black Noah. But their actions are not the ineffective flailing of an unorganized mob. Someone is coordinating these intrusions and directing them toward key locations. Do not let the setbacks incurred aboard the Suiryuu be repeated here. Reports indicate both the bridge and one of the engine chambers may be their current targets. Units are being mobilized to deal with this threat, but keep an eye out for any alternative tangents of opportunity they may seek to take during the confusions. When engaging them, identify their leaders and take them out. Reduce them to disorganized rabble and neutralizing this threat will be assured. Keep an eye out for potential dissenters. Some in their ranks may not have the heart to see this through or, perhaps, may be open to a change in terms...

The mission schedule. We have five special missions, one on every day starting Tuesday the 16th, and ending at Saturday the 20th, with R5 matches being posted sometime Sunday or Monday as allows. There may be overflow from one day to another, but it will generally be avoided where possible.
TUESDAY: Arika in "MAID BRIGADE"
WEDNESDAY: Hiretsu in "OPERATOR"
THURSDAY: Riko in "NINJA VS. PIRATE"
FRIDAY: Elle in "RECKONING DAY"
SATURDAY: Rugal in "THE BIGGER THEY ARE..."
If you want to participate in one, be there that day during sane hours. (read: during 1-10pm EST. Special Allowances may be made specifically by Mission Leaders--you want to discuss that with them in specific. Really, though.. I wouldn't recommend something like 'I can only show up at 9am-3pm for this scene :( -- you'll just make everyone cry C_C r Get into a mission on another day!)
