Description: A Seijyun event full of.... whatever High School girls do when you lock hordes of them inside a school at night with games and sports and snacks.... and then more! An exhibition bout between some of the notable rising stars among today's talented young fighters, either in the midst of or on the brink of promising careers! (Who says women can't just beat their way into the workforce?). This no-holds-barred team battle will be spectated by students, faculty, and very special guests as a for-charity event for equipment for Seijyun's sports program. Which is what, badminton and knitting? (Winners: Hotaru and Nadine)
Mizuki drops Pose Order: Nadine, Mika, Mizuki, Hotaru.
Hotaru isn't sure which is more pressure. Fighting in front of her Kyokugen instructors in matches staged at their dojo or having to fights staged at her own school, Seijyun High. At least at the dojo, there's only a small handful of people to let down if she fails to perform well. But here there's an entire peer group watching that she has to mingle with on a daily basis. Not to mention faculty with with big expectations from the minor celebrity fighter. Maybe the pressure will push her to do better, or maybe it will just be such a big distraction that she doesn't do very well at all.
The match is in the late evening. The school is in the middle of one of their annual social events where the restrictions on curfews are relaxed some and everyone is encouraged to engage in various games, sports befitting ladies of elegance (Yes, badminton is prominently featured). The undisputed highlight of the whole affair is the Saturday Night Fight Howard's people have scheduled to take place in the high school's massive gym. Having arranged a deal with the school's owners, the price of admission for non-students was set higher than usual, with a majority of the ticket proceeds being donated back to the school's sport's program. Fortunately for Hotaru, the financial gain isn't tied to her team winning the match.
With the time for the match at hand, many of the girls have piled into the gym to take their places in the stands. There's VIP seating for various guests who forked over the higher than usual price to see this bout take place. There's the expected noise of school girl giggling, chattering, gossiping,
As the lone Seijyun representative for this match, the school's faculty were quite insistent that Hotaru wear her school uniform for the event, much to her chagrin. "Show some school pride. Make us proud. Represent Seijyun with honor. Oh yeah. And don't lose." or so the lecture went, roughly. Thus it is that she waits with her shirt, skirt, and blazer, idly toying with one of her hair ribbons, convinced that it felt a little loose a moment ago. Her opponents are familiar to her. Though she's never fought either of them in a 1v1, she has faced both of them before in team games. Her partner, on the other hand, is mostly an unknown to the Kenpo artist. She'll have to figure out how their styles compliment each other on the fly.
Nadine is the only member of Pacific High here, too, which is something Nadine is neutral on. She doesn't really care whether Seiyjun has a decent sports group or not, but she is interested in learning about the school and its members. Not to mention the non-members they're putting her up against.
She is being her usual somewhat chilly self, and has not mingled very much. Nadine doesn't really like people but hasn't gotten to the 'insult them' stage yet tonight, probably for everyone's benefit. Although not actually in a Pacific uniform, she is in their colours, and stands out a bit because of it.
Nadine also stands out because of the knives visibly strapped to her legs, but that's almost expected from a fighter.
Rainbow Mika is the only one here that is NOT in high school. Fact is, she's been out of school for a while which is why she's a little baffled that she's been sent here for Saturday Night Fight. She doesn't care about the inter-school politics or information gathering that is going to be going on between the other girls. She's here to fight, and that's what she's going to do. It's a good cause, getting financial aid for school programs through an event like this, and so while she's confused she's happy to be here.
Like Hotaru, the buxom blonde knows -nothing- of her so-called partner for the fight. Beyond what the spec sheet told her, she's not bothered doing her homework. She was never very good at homework anyhow.
As for standing out, well... Rainbow Mika has NO trouble at all doing that. Dressed in her regular wrestling gear, she tends to stick out like a sore thumb. Blonde pigtails stick out to the sides, and her mouth is curved into a somewhat serious looking line. Despite this, she waves and makes a HUGE spectacle of herself as she enters the gym - arms pumping as she bounces along to the designated fight-site.
The hallowed halls of Seijyun High School for Girls. A school almost as elegant, almost as hallowed, almost as revered as Mizuki's own school, Justice High School. Oh yes, when word of the match got out she also was talked to by her own school administration (not Hyo, though, thankfully). 'Do well. You are representing Justice High. Don't lose.' But that may be a tall order. Mizuki's certainly -heard- of Rainbow Mika, the wrestling sensation, her partner for this fight...
And she's -definitely- familiar with Hotaru--an acquaintance who, with a few more meetings, might go up from there to a friend. But in battle... well, Mizuki's met her there, too, and it wasn't a good meeting for her. Still she's here, the redhead resplendent (ha) in her Justice High uniform... which is definitely getting her some Looks(tm).
But she wears it with pride, walking through the crowds of 'ladies' towards the fight arena. An announcement is made over the PA, initiated by the SNF officials, so that any and all who wish to watch the spectacle will know to come gather near the edges of the fight arena.
Nadine... well, she doesn't know much about her. But obviously, she's one of the fighters in this little shindig... she knows Hotaru, and she recognizes Mika. Hotaru gets a friendly wave and a smile before Mizuki steps up to Mika's side. "Good evening, Mika-san," says the redhead, pulling her baton from off her back and sliding her right hand through the retaining loop at one end. "May fortune favor us this night," she says, "and may our skills prove to be superior. Hotaru-san is a formidable opponent, and... her partner looks dangerous too, I think..."
Regardless of her pronouncements, soon she's ready for the fight, whenever it may start.

Nadine is glanced over by the pig-tailed Kenpo artist. It's impossible to miss the weapons she brings with her to the fight which is something that leaves the girl a little unsettled. She's not fond of slicing, stabbing weapons in fights, though she knows they have their place and capable fighters can be expected to have to deal with them. But if that's what her partner is going to be using to get by, then she'll have to make sure to stay out of any line of fire!
After the cursory inspection, Hotaru offers Nadine a polite bow, hands pressed together in front of her as she addresses the foreign student. "Nadine, it's nice to meet you." She expects the girl to be pretty tough. Pacific High students have always bested her when she's fought them before. At glance toward their opponent is made as she continues, "Mizuki-san, the girl from Justice High, has a healing gift with her energies. It might be necessary to keep pressure on her accordingly. As far as Rainbow Mika... she's /really/ tough, so just watch out."
With the fight about to start, the girl inhales and exhales slowly, trying to put the pressure behind this match out of her mind so that she can just concentrate and do her best. Turning away from Nadine, she focuses on the other two girls across the way a little, her feet testing the friction of the varnished wood floor as she prepares for the kind of fancy speed she's going to need to pull this off.
When the fight seems likely to start soon, Nadine heads over from where she was waiting, bending slightly to draw both knives from their thigh sheaths as she walks. Whether other people are fond of them or not, she's always appreciated having a weapon at hand, although to be honest she could do equally well with two short metal rods (and in fact has a pair of blunted knives for when she needs to).
I can keep the wrestler off me," Nadine says, honestly happy that someone bothered to talk tactics before the match. "Choose your target as you will - I suppose you've had more practice than me at this - and I'll help as I can. I don't expect to do badly."
She stops as she actually enters the combat area, waiting for just one moment for the signal to begin. As soon as it is, she acts almost immediately; Nadine reverses one of the knives in her hands and throws it, spinning rapidly from the way she whipped her wrist, toward Mizuki. The other is held up, ready for Nadine to throw that one too.
"Rainbow Mika!" The correction is light, but the blonde wrestler isn't used to being called Mika-san, especially not when dressed in her wrestling outfit with the pretty cerulean mask! "Hotaru is no match for the likes of Rainbow Mika! Weapons are no match for the likes of Rainbow Mika! Don't think like that! Positive thinking and we can win! YEAH!"
Someone is a tad bit overzealous, but if she stops to think how dangerous people are, then she's going to become unfocused.
Catching the signal, and what the girl with the knives is about to do, Raibow Mika rushes in from the side toward her and tries to grasp Nadine's shoulders. Hotaru is the bigger threat, sure, but weapons at an unsuspecting opponent are never good! Should she manage to get a good hold of Nadine, she yanks, lifts and tosses the girl toward the audience. RAR!

... she's fighting a knife-thrower. Wonderful. This may turn out to be a rather bloody affair here and now... it's a good thing Mizuki can heal herself--and her teammate! They might need that ability. But this early on... it's best to avoid taking damage, isn't it? Mizuki's eyes widen when that knife is flung at her--why her?!? She's harmless! Okay, so maybe that's not entirely true but really, one just has to look at her official win/loss record...
In any case, Mizuki ducks, instinctively, the blade slicing through the air where she just was. "Wh-whoa!" she cries, lunging forward during her duck--a long step towards Nadine, that turns into a loping pair of steps forward, the baton held at the ready. When she nears, she fires off an attack, her baton whipping around at abdomen level, striking out in a horizontal slash.
She was right--this is going to be scary. Her heart's already pounding.
"Nn," Hotaru replies to Nadine's answer with a nod of acknowledgement. The girl is quite confident and that's good to see. It actually bolsters her own confidence to see that. "All right, we'll show 'em what we've got." the Seijyun asserts without turning away from the ready stance that she slips into.
And then it begins. The knife goes flying off, much to no surprise, but it seems Mizuki was able to handle it readily enough. She didn't expect to have the talented wrestler to pass her by entirely for Nadine though. And now Mizuki is charging in as well. Looks like no one is planning on playing a range game right now - or perhaps they're trying to nullify her partner's.
Either way, Hotaru is on the offense swiftly. She can't get to R. Mika fast enough to cut her off from Nadine, but she can catch up and give her a swift kick from behind toward her upper back. Not her hardest strike - more of a 'Hey, pay attention to me!' type of attack. "Ha!"

Nadine does not actually make it all the way to the crowd, despite R. Mika's best effort. She's pretty light and easy to pick up, though; Nadine doesn't exactly have a particularly bulky build.
Mid-lift, Mizuki's rod catches Nadine across the stomach...and while she ordinarily wouldn't worry about a minor hit like that, it hit in just the right way that she had the air knocked out of her. This is probably what convinces Nadine to not struggle quite as much against Mika, and she hits the ground hard and rolls, still trying to catch her breath.
When she picks herself up from the pair of impacts, Nadine's face is carefully neutral, not showing pain or annoyance. Her free hand moves in a motion as if she was pitching underhand, and a sphere of silvery compressed air flies out, bouncing and rolling along the ground.
Its tightly compressed nature ends as it approaches Mizuki, bursting and extending upward into a short tornado about three feet high. It continues to roll forward for a few moments before burning itself out, fading away after its blast.

See what she meant about Hotaru being the larger concern? Rainbow Mika is ill prepared to face Hotaru while she's trying to fling the other girl around, and the kick - light though it is - sends her flailing forward.
"Arrrrgh! HOTARU!" Immediately pushing herself up to her feet, the buxom blonde turns to face Hotaru and sticks her tongue out. Thbbting it at the other in a most mature fashion, the wrestler sets her hands to her hips. "THAT WAS CHEAP! YOU DON'T KICK SOMEONE FROM BEHIND!"
Hotaru has definitely garnered Rainbow Mika's attention, that's for sure!
Twisting around, her pigtails flying back behind her, Rainbow Mika HMPHS loudly and then takes a single step forward. That step is enough to give her distance for the LONG BACKWARD LEAP she's about to make. Pushing off her feet, she aims her backside for Hotaru's face. "TAKE THAT!" She really IS attacking Hotaru with her rear, and should she impact, she takes a moment to rub her buttocks before getting ready for anything that's coming in toward her.

Mizuki is fairly well-attuned to her sense of chi--even if she weren't, the nature of Nadine's attack would be obvious, since most people can't throw rolling balls of silvery energy. So, she thinks, here is a point where she can put her skills into play--taking a half-step back, she brings her baton up to ready...
... and then the sphere explodes into the tornado, which catches the redhead by surprise and completely disrupts her timing, leading her to be blown back, literally, by the wave of energy. Thrown back, she hisses softly as she checks her damage--that hurt quite a bit, but it wasn't debilitating...
This is definitely going to be a tough fight, though. Mizuki has to remain calm and to keep thinking rationally -and- listen to her instincts... a careful and delicate balance that's hard to maintain.

"But you were double teaming my-" Hotaru begins to protest at R. Mika's outrage and raspberry, but she isn't left time to argue her case as the wrestler goes on the offense back at her. Apparently attacking from behind is in bad taste, but attacking with one's behind isn't?!
The smaller girl gets clobbered in the face as intended in spite her attempt to slip out of the way. Mika's trajectory is a bit too tricky for her to predict, even though she's seen the odd technique in use in fights before, "Ack!" she gasps, knocked to the side a little.
"Okay, now it's more fair," the girl replies rubbing her cheek with a faint grin for a moment before lunging to the offense in retaliation. She seeks to get a grip on the wrestling girl's strong arms with her own hands. If she gets a tight enough hold, she'll dish out a sequence of rapidly rising strikes right up the front of the wrestler's blue-clad body, finshing with a backflip flourish in the end in an attempt to put distance between her and the other girl. "Ya, ya, ya!"
Nadine does smile just a little when the tornado strikes home.
She doesn't have time to be congratulatory, though. Keeping her remaining knife up, she darts toward where her other one was left, retrieving it as she moves past it without actually slowing down that much while considering her options. On one hand, she could go on her own and continue attempting to fight Mizuki on her own. On the other, she could help Hotaru with a difficult target, but that would let Mizuki do the healing thing that Nadine has been warned about.
Nadine presses Mizuki instead. She advances on her, holding her knives menacingly as if she was about to slash or stab, but does neither. Instead, she brings her left foot up in a side kick, attempting to plant it on Mizuki's torso and shove her back toward Hotaru and Mika.

"HAH!" Rainbow Mika rises up, pumps her right arm in a victorious manner and then laughs. She took Hotaru by surprise! As the arm comes down, Hotaru manages grip it and then start to strike out at the wrestler's body. Standing there, she laughs at the strikes as she makes an attempt to weave away from them. Each strikes true, but she looks completely unphased by it. "Haha!"
Since that little backflip puts distance between Hotaru and herself, the blue-clad wrestler turns her focus on the other girl. Shooting her arm out in a quick head-swipe, she attempts to knock Nadine off balance by sending her back toward Hotaru. "YEAW!"

The mental voice is stern, and not Mizuki's--in fact it sounds, to her, very much like one of her old senseis. But she responds to it all the same, planting her feet as Nadine's leg pistons in towards her torso. Her baton flips to her right forearm, held along it to reinforce, and it is that reinforced forearm that takes the impact. Her body shifts back, the girl crouching slightly to keep her center of balance.
Having successfully defended against Nadine's attack, Mizuki chooses not to counterattack but to back off a bit--from that crouch she springs backwards about five yards, and taking that time and distance to sharpen her mind, to focus on this complex fight.

Landing back on her feet after the backflip, Hotaru braces, excepting retaliation from Mika. The fact that her kicks landed true and the other girl seemed entirely unphased is certainly playing game with her for the moment. How can that be when her simple snap kick from before seemed to knock her for a loop?
But the the anticipated attack never comes, the wrestler headed back after her partner again, leaving Hotaru bracing for nothing. Mizuki seems to be holding her ground too but the girl doesn't see any reason to go after her, deciding instead to stick to helping Nadine out with the larger, more experienced fighter.
Her feet squeak against the wood, announcing her charge toward the girl that just literally rear ended her moments ago. "If you don't want to get hit in the back, you need to quit turning it," she offers her humble advice as she leans in hard, swinging both of her hands forward, close together, as she attempts to drive a hard double palm press into the other girl's lower torso, either front or back, depending on if Mika turns around in time. In light of the constraints of her Seijyun blazer, she keeps her range limited, aiming more for getting in close enough to hit hard than to play it safe at a distance.

Nadine lowers her foot again, keeping close to Mizuki rather than running around like she sometimes might or jumping after Mika.
She stays in place when Mizuki goes backwards, face breaking into a small smile as she sees that Mizuki is not preparing an attack at all! Unfortunately, the smile is wiped off her face remarkably quickly when Mika's arm impacts with her forehead.
Nadine staggers two steps backwards, one hand up toward her face to ensure her nose is not broken (it isn't) and how bad the bruising is going to be (quite visible). Rather than press the attack on Mizuki, instead Nadine attempts to spin around toward R.Mika's back and literally pull herself up by gripping around the other woman's neck with her arm.
If Nadine does manage to pick herself up, she bends almost double until her feet are in the small of Mika's back, then leaps off with a mighty kick, shoving Mika forward and towards Hotaru's palm press.

"WHAT IS IT WITH YOU AND ATTACKING FROM BEHIND?" Huffling, Rainbow Mika twists about to block the fists from hitting her in the torso. Bad tactics, maybe, but it does allow her whisk Nadine off of her neck with the same movement. "Gack! SERIOUSLY! STOP THAT YOU TWO!"
And this is where she'd -normally- toss an attack Hotaru's way, just to make a point. Seeing as Nadine just -happens- to be closer, she attempts to yank the girl up to her feet and squeeze her tightly in a backward bearhug.
Surprising--she wasn't assaulted, while she took her 'turn'... usually, when she backs up, at least one of her opponents comes after her. Now, however... well, thus far, she's only engaged Nadine--briefly, if that. Hotaru so far has only been attacked by Mika--sorry, -Rainbow Mika-... maybe it's time to change that.
Mizuki shifts her stance slightly--leading with her left, her feet spread slightly wider, her center of gravity lowered... and the baton held in a reverse 'dagger' grip in her right hand. She leans back, then lunges forward, taking three or four big steps before planting her feet and lashing out with a wide horizontal slash, twisting her body from right to left to add speed and power to the strike.
It looks remarkably like a swordsmanship type of manuever, rather than something out of other baton or short-staff fighting arts. And yes, she is technically attacking from the back, but it really can't be helped...

The palm press is stopped effectively by Mika's block and Hotaru reacts by leaning backward... which does put her enough out of Rika's 'grab and squeeze' range that the wrestler goes for Nadine instead again. But this time it's just one that Nadine has to deal with so the speedy Kenpo artist decides not to try and pull attention her way again.
Besides, this time she has Mizuki to worry about. The baton strike is reacted to by taking to the air into a backflip up and over Mizuki to come down on the other side of the red head.
"It seems like we sure face each other a lot, doesn't it Mizuki-san," the girl states as she attempts to snag a hold of the miko's baton holding arm from behind and twist her down to the gym floor with a simple but effective slam before letting go. "Maybe we'll be teammates someday instead."

Nadine apparently does not appreciate hugs.
At least, she does not appreciate bearhugs; not only is it tight enough to be painful and making it difficult to breathe, having someone else in such close proximity without a way to move back and away is highly uncomfortable.
Fortunately, Nadine is an accomplished (or reasonably so) escape artist. She goes up rather than down, freeing herself by planting the one arm that remains outside the grip on Rainbow Mika's shoulder and levering herself up, flipping over the other blonde's head and landing behind her.
And no, Nadine does not wait for her to turn around to attack. She backs up rapidly, hoping that Mika does not immediately undo the distance between them, and throws a knife straight at the other woman. This one doesn't spin; it's accelerated in a straight line by a surprise gust of wind, blasting straight for Mika and leaving a breezy contrail behind it that blows around Nadine's hair and skirt.

A look of bafflement crosses Rainbow Mika's face when the girl manages to squirm her way free. Blink. Blink. Eyes close then open beneath the cerulean mask, and she's not quite certain what to make of it. Reaching up to scratch her head, she turns around to see just where Nadine is flipping off to.
Good thing she does too, or she would have wound up stabbed in the back. Jerking around fully, the knife slams into the front of her bare shoulder, stuck. Blood trickles down from it, staining the white edging of the blue-suit but she doesn't raise a finger to remove the weapon. Lunging forward, she growls and shoots a hand out toward Nadine. Attempting to YANK the girl toward her, she spins around in a quick, whip-like fashion and tries to throw her toward the nearest wall.

"As far as I am concerned, Hotaru-san, we are already teammates in all the important ways," replies the redhead... daunted by the fact of facing Hotaru--a paragon of young women, who is not only fast but evilly difficult to -hit-. Her baton is grabbed and she doesn't let go... or try to avoid it. In fact, she seems to be falling -with- the intended slam...
and as she's falling, she reaches out with her other arm, seeking to shove Hotaru off--to at least make her stumble, though that's difficult with a girl who is so nimble. And that slam still hurts; Mizuki gets up favoring her shoulder badly.
She had hoped to catch Mizuki off guard, but she can tell that the priestess is letting her get the slam. That usually means someone is trying to retaliate in the middle of the attack. Which ends up being the case and Hotaru is prepared for it, shifting her feet to give her enough counter balance to withstand the clean hit Mizuki gets with her shoving arm without getting knocked off her feet for her trouble.
She doesn't press the opportunity to deliver another attack right away, letting Mizuki get up to her feet and tend to her shoulder. "That's a nice way of looking at it," she replies, "Thank you." But then her attention is back on Nadine and Mika. It seems her partner is having some trouble with the powerful young woman repeatedly getting a grip on her. She'd like to hurry over and help her out, but Nadine seems to be getting her strikes back in as well so Hotaru stays out of it for now, opting instead to press on Mizuki.
Roundhousing in a skirt isn't typically her favorite thing, but having to fight in uniform wasn't her idea either. Either way, it's what the red-head has to deal with next as Hotaru steps in for a slow but powerful kick aimed high with her right leg before turning around and delivering three faster side kicks with her left leg, going from low to high with each subsequent strike. "KYA!"

On one hand, Nadine just got close enough to retrieve her own knife.
On the other hand, she then got introduced to a wall. Walls are no fun. Nadine hits it fairly hard, front-first, and only staggers away a few moments later. /Now/ her nose is bleeding, although Nadine still doesn't think it's broken, just sore.
She frowns, briefly, but says nothing to Rainbow Mika. Instead she simply throws another one of those knives, this one without benefit of chi but aimed at Mika's head. On the plus side, it isn't thrown point-first, but hilt-first; a blunt object between the eyes, Nadine finds, is an excellent distraction. She glances at Hotaru a moment later, but that's all.

What may have been something incredibly dangerous, is avoided. Though it's just the hilt of the knife coming toward her, that doesn't mean the weapon isn't going to flip mid-air, so Rainbow Mika does the only thing she can think of. Arms are brought together and she ducks her head behind them. As the knife clatters to the floor, she grins and looks around.
First, she glances at her partner to ensure she's still up and running. Mizuki seems to be fine, other than Hotaru going after her.
Next, she glances at Hotaru. A frown creases her brow, and she reaches up to yank the blade from her shoulder and is greeted with a bloody nothingness. A nice red hand print forms on her shoulder and she wrinkles her nose up in disgust. "EWWWWWW!" At least with the knife still embedded in her arm, the trickle of blood wasn't as much as it is now.
Now she's not certain what to do. Pummel Nadine into the floor for making her bleed, or going after Hotaru. The girl from Seijyun is still the bigger threat... but she IS bleeding. Growling again, Rainbow Mika closes distance between Nadine and herself, and simply tries slam a fist out toward her gut. Should she happen to force the girl to double over, the fun begins. Nadine will experience another bearhug, this time upside down and a little tighter than before. Added to this though, Rainbow Mika intends to leap up into the air, and smash the girl's head upon the gym floor.

Scary. There are moments in her life where Mizuki almost literally sees her life flash before her eyes--and this might be one of them. Slow attacks... slow has power behind it, and Mizuki summons all her resolve before dropping low, ducking that high kick... and then hurling herself to her right, tumbling away from the followup kicks. Yikes, scary!
"Ah, excuse me just a moment, Hotaru-san," says the young girl, with a little smile, and she backsteps, twisting mid-air to face... Mika. Perhaps it is time to apply some of that 'special skill'... "Rainbow Mika-san!" she cries, and yeah, that sounds a little weird, doesn't really roll off the tongue does it? "Please accept this...!"
tMizuki concentrates her power, and stretches out her left hand, fingers splayed open. Blue-green chi gathers over Mika and rains down shortly thereafter--a warm, healing touch of energy that will hopefully be helpful to Mika.
Her strong kicks end up striking nothing but air as Mizuki slips away from what would have been a pretty strong combination of strikes. Her left foot comes down as the girl requires a split second to reaquire where the red head has gotten off to. Smiling a little at the demure speach patterns of the gifted girl, Hotaru spares a glance over her shoulder toward Nadine and Mika. The intent of Mizuki's power she understands well enough and right now she wishes she could offer the same to the poor girl that keeps getting thrown, tossed, and slammed around.
But like nearly every time before she's seen Mizuki do this, the Kenpo artist tries to keep enough pressure on her in hopes of distracting her or catching her when her focus is tied up in healing herself or her partners.
"Moment's up," she replies with a serious expression as she charges to get in close, bringing her right leg up, knee first toward Mizuki's stomach to cut her moment's reprieve short if possible!

This time, Nadine isn't going to stand still for a bearhug. One smothering experience was enough.
She leaps, making an enormous arc with the peak about nine feet up, passing over Mika's head with room to spare before she lands on the far side. If things in the gym for lower, she would have grabbed one and stayed up for a while...but even she can't touch the ceiling in here.
When she lands, Nadine twists around and reaches, attempting to grab Rainbow Mika at about waist level. It doesn't look like the shorter Nadine is going to be much good at picking her up, but she goes for it anyway, literally attempting to heft Rainbow Mika, spin around three times, and toss her at the wall.
The tornado that springs up around the pair to support most of Rainbow's weight, if Nadine grabs, is probably a big help here.

Rainbow Mika-san? Blink. It works, at least her partner didn't forget the ever important RAINBOW title! The request is odd however. "Accept WHAT?"
The buxom blonde learns rather quickly just -what- she's to be accepting. Ocean colored chi forms above her and she blinks again. "ACK! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!?" As the energy starts to fall down upon her in 'droplets', she flails and dances about trying to figure out what it's going to do to her and just -WHY- her partner is throwing something at her. As the first bit of energy hits her, she widens her eyes and stares over at Mizuki. Ohhh! That's what it is. "Eheheheh..." Rubbing the back of her neck, she just stands there and lets the energy do it's work. "THANKS!"
Rainbow Mika realizes she really -should- be helping her partner out a little more than she has been. First, she's got to take care of Nadine though. Flung toward the wall, Rainbow Mika rolls into a ball and then pops out of it. "TADA!" Stopped it from being so painful, but instead of retaliating, she turns to Hotaru. Running toward Futaba, a trail of shadow-Mika's follows in her wake. Flipping over Hotaru, she grins. What's coming next is a surprise. The blonde wrestler would normally pick Hotaru up and TOSS her, but instead she slams her elbow toward the girl's back. This will hopefully catch her off guard and allow the blonde wrestler time to spring into a forward handstand. Using the momentum from this she tries to knock Hotaru down to the floor and flip her over using those powerful wrestler legs.

Ow. Well at least it isn't her head. "Wha-?" replies the redhead as she finishes sending energy to Mika... and she turns just in time to get a knee to the gut, her hands just barely out of position for the block. "Nnnuh!" she cries as she stumbles back, gasping in pain... and sseeing Mika coming in flying--almost literally--Mizuki makes a hasty decision:

"S'cuse me, Hotaru-san," blurts the girl, as she takes off running for Nadine, lunging forward and seeking to simply strike Nadine in the stomach with a quick baton thrust. It's not much--almost nothing at all, even, because Mizuki isn't particularly strong, not like some fighters--but perhaps it will serve her purpose...

After giving Mizuki an in close knee strike, Hotaru backs up a step to evaluate her condition. The girl isn't quite going for blood at the moment. That's, ah, Nadine's job after all! But in backing off, she gives Mizuki the room she needs to go zooming off after Nadine instead. Whoops. Should've stayed in close, she muses, thinking that Nadine is about to get double teamed now...
It's then that Mika comes flipping up over her with the intent to inflict a ton of misery with that strength of hers. But in order to do that, she'll have to contend with young Futaba's speed. The girl isn't caught flat footed as Mika's elbow comes down toward her back and manages to slip down and around to her side, giving her the distance she needs to avoid the follow up handstand, backing out of range all together at that point with a soft 'whew' beneath her breath. She almost got caught there and given Mika's build compared to hers, that would be really bad news.
But now Mizuki's off and Hotaru has the wrestler to contend with. Deciding to take to the air in spite her reservations, Hotaru leaps up into a forward flip that has her diving down toward the blond with her right knee first. If she connects with the young woman's shoulder, she'll follow up with a solid side kick to the head before using her positioning to backflip away again. "Ya!"

The baton doesn't get anywhere near Nadine. Sore as she is, she's still moving quickly and fluidly; she twists to one side, letting it go past her, and uses one of her knives to ensure it is levered away from her. It's not really a parry so much as a guiding movement.
Perhaps surprisingly, she doesn't throw anything at Mizuki, nor does she try to keep the distance. Instead, Nadine lunges for her, bringing her elbow in toward Mizuki's gut to drive her slightly backwards - but mostly to keep the air out of her and keep her from preparing anything more painful.
She starts to say something, but her bloody nose makes it difficult to make out, so Nadine gives up after a word or so.

"WHA-WHA-WHAT?" Sweatdrop. How in the world did Hotaru manage to just... get out of the way? It's yet another moment of bafflement for Rainbow Mika. She just can't seem to grasp that her speedy attempt was just brushed off like that. While she stands there scratching her head, she gets kicked in the side of the head and set forward toward the crowd - bloody shoulder first.
A round of 'ewww' can be heard from some nearby girls (apparently some dislike bloody things), and Rainbow Mika regains her footing. Hands set to her head and she fixes her pigtails. "Ow." Doesn't sound like she's hurt, from the issuance of such a tiny word but the expression on her face denotes otherwise. Breathing heavy now, she runs across the room toward Hotaru again. No fancy moves or motions though, just a simple grapple and hoist attempt before she tries to fling the girl toward Nadine.

"Koo---NNNGH!" Suddenly, Mizuki is being -bent in half- by an elbow. She literally folds around that strike, her baton flying loose from her hand, kept nearby only by the virtue of the retaining loop. Whatever Nadine did, her elbow struck dead-center and it's only because Mizuki -didn't- eat before the fight that she doesn't lose whatever's in her stomach--instead, she's impacted so hard she gets flung, tumbling, along the ground--the landing was bad too, a bad-sounding *crack* issuing from the floor when she hits.
There's a shocked whisper as Mizuki rolls to a stop--and doesn't rise. At least, not immediately. Suddenly, though, she lurches, sucking in a breath and curling up, rolling onto her side... and then to her hands and knees. She isn't up yet, and really, it looks like she may not rise for a bit longer...

Hotaru's speed may have spared her Rika's all out assault, but when the blond comes for her again in a clash of pig-tails the likes the world has never seen, the smaller fighter crouches slightly but doesn't make any effort to get out of the way. Attempting to trade evasion for a direct assault, the girl lunges up with her shoulder...
...right into Mika's arms before she gets hefted up, flailing to twist free if at all possible. But there's no chance for that before she's finally send flying across the room, landing a bit roughly, rolling over twice, and coming back up on her feet with a shake of her head. She looks a bit disoriented from all that being hurled around like the featherweight she is, but she's not out if it too much.
A cursory glance over her partner shows Nadine to be hanging in there all right. Hotaru notices Mizuki took a nasty hit which is hardly what she would wish upon the girl. But at least it wasn't with one of those knives, right?
Nadine has finally gotten her nose to stop bleeding, which is a plus.
She wipes drying blood off her face with the back of one hand as she advances on the fallen Mizuki, then dusts her hands off in the air. "Not quite as skilled as I thought," she says, thickly but clear enough as she looks down at Mizuki. "I'll have to stop you from doing that trick again, though."
And then she winds up, delivering a kick toward Mizuki's face while she's on hands and knees. Legal? Technically. Dirty fighting? Absolutely. Nadine has never fought fair and doesn't see any point in starting.
Sometimes, it's the simple things that work. After tossing Hotaru, Rainbow Mika thrusts a fist up in the air and then turns to Mizuki. "You still hanging in there?" That's when she rushes in to see how her partner is faring for herself. Doesn't look to be all that well after the last hit, but she's still breathing!
Once more, she tries to help Mizuki out. Again, it's nothing big for flashy. As Nadine advances for that kick, Rainbow Mika sends her elbow slamming back toward the girl's already bloody face.

Instinct kicks in; Mizuki forces her wretchedly pained body to -move-. She doesn't stand up, just throws herself into a sideways tumble that becomes a quick scrambling hop up. Her eyes are wide, practically vibrating, aftereffects of that incredible strike from Nadine. Every day, she finds someone else that proves their worth and who she has to respect for their skills... today, that's all three of the other fighters in this match.
That burst of energy, though, soon fades, forcing Mizuki to try and catch her breath and force her body to calm down so that she can finish this fight out. She'll be damned if she lets a single intense strike put her down--how could she face anyone if she did?
But--she still needs that moment, that's for sure.

Left on her own again, Hotaru has time to take stock in the fight as it currently stands, trying to combine her speed with putting it to good use. Rainbow Mika is a tough contender but Mizuki is getting her breath back after that vicious strike, and she knows better than to count the red-head out either.
At least her partner is fairing well, and all things considered, she's putting on a good show herself in front of her gaggle of school girl peers. At least well enough that the teasing should be light should she not be able to pull this off.
Deciding to stick to fighting the wrestler for a bit, Hotaru makes an aggressive charge toward the girl in the light blue. Taking to the air with a swift jump kick, she attempts to strike the girl in the shoulder... actually going out of her way to not hit the bloody one. If she connects, she'll use the leverage to dish out a follow up kick with her left leg before backflipping away again. "Ya!"
When Rainbow Mika comes barrelling down at her, Nadine's reaction is pretty much instantaneous.
First she ducks, because having her pretty face beaten up once is enough.
Then she rushes forward herself, using her lack of height as an advantage; ideally, most of Mika's body goes over Nadine's, and then she stands up and guides Mika over her shoulder in a backwards throw. Hopefully, she even gets to use some of the momentum from Hotaru's kicks to help...but she'd settle for just the flip.

Always with the kicks! Double-teamed, Rainbow Mika has to actually focus on Hotaru's attack. As the foot comes in toward her good shoulder, the blonde wrestler tries to bat it away. Knocking it off course enough, she manages to take only a half-strike and so the damage isn't as lasting as it could have been.
Being as how Nadine is only about an inch shorter than Rainbow Mika, the lack of height isn't really all that advantageous. The blue-clad woman throws herself to the side in order to avoid the backward throw. Rolling toward Nadine once more, she tosses her arms out in the hopes of settling them around the girl's legs. Standing up, she attempts to whisk Nadine off of her feet and swing her around toward the crowd once more.
Though she'd never admit it, particularly to herself, she really wants some back from Nadine. That elbow strike was -incredibly- painful, and it's only natural to want to return the favor. But Mizuki doesn't use her elbows. Instead, she drops her baton as she darts forward, crossing the distance between herself and Nadine--noting that, so far, the girl has been quite restrained with the knifing and stabbing and such. That's a good sign.
But anyways; these thoughts are in Mizuki's head but not at the forefront, as she seeks Nadine's shoulders with her hands. Should she get a grip on those shoulders, she'll pull, and post her right leg into Nadine's stomach as she falls back, performing a sacrifice throw--in fact, it is the famous Tomoe Nage, a technique often seen in use by the Kyokugen karateka as well as the Ansatsuken fighters...
With her jump kick rebuffed a little, Hotaru is forced to recover her footing a split second later as she comes down into a run in the oppoosite direction. Sliding to a stop, she whirls around on her feet, her pig-tails catching up an instant later. Actually wearing down Mika is tough business. That girl is tough.
Both fighters are gunning for her partner again. Something Hotaru has been kinda getting used to this fight. Either she's not being threatening enough or they're playing it smart by trying to take her partner out of this match so they can team up on her... Well, there's only one thing she can do about that and that's to stick to Mika like he has been.
This time she'll attack from range, though, since she can't get over to help Nadine in time anyway. Rolling her arm out to her side, she charges up a vibrant blue aura rather swiftly before slinging her arm forward and unleashing a shimmering projectile that goes flying across the distance, zeroing in on Rainbow Mika. Whether she's aiming for her back or front depends on if she ends up noticing attention starved Hotaru!

This time, Rainbow Mika gets pretty good distance. Nadine goes flying and only barely manages to tuck and roll with the impact, ending up rather close to Mizuki's current position without actually meaning to. She had no control over her flight path there.
Seeing Mizuki coming at her for another throw, Nadine acts as quickly as she can despite the pain. She drops both her knives in front of her, just tossing them to the ground, and smacks the floor between them hard.
A tornado springs up around Nadine, far more intense than the last; it causes her long hair to dance aroudn wildly as the whirlwind reaches up several feet around her. It catches the knives and causes them to spin in the cyclone as well; even the floor looks like it might lose planks of wood to the whirlwind, although it does not quite shatter one.
All it doesn't really matter, because Mizuki still manages to get a hand on Nadine and throw her out of it, causing the whirlwind to dissipate and her knives to fly off in random directions. This is because Nadine has managed to land on her head from the impact and is out cold.

Oh, Hotaru's being threatening enough. Rainbow Mika's pain is mostly the direct result of just how threatening she can be. While she can't speak for Mizuki, the buxom blonde has been going after Nadine for one reason, and one reason only. The girl had knives. Knives tend to hurt more than punches or kicks and they also tend to leave nice little flesh wounds. A few bruises are easy enough to handle, but wounds need stitches and Rainbow Mika has an aversion to needles.
What matters though, is that the wrestler spots the charge of energy about to be unleashed upon her. Shrieking, she bolts out of the way as fast as possible. Pigtails and arms flailing about as she does so. "AIIIIEEEEEE!" Stopping once she's far enough away from the projectile, Rainbow Mika doubles over. Hands on knees she gulps a few large breaths and then spins to face Hotaru. "YOU!"
Skirting behind Futaba, she attempts to wrap her arms about the girl's midsection. Managing this, the next part should be rather easy. Lift. Hoist. Suplex Hotaru over into a German Suplex before releasing her and letting her fall to the floor.
Okay. Tornado'd. Again. Mizuki -screams-, because that offically becomes the worst hit she's taken in this fight so far. Even when she gets the hand on Nadine it's all she can do to complete the technique. Mizuki drops to her knees, and slumps there. But unlike earlier... she isn't looking like she's out. Rather...
She looks like the's concentrating. Her legs fold into that tucked-under 'seiza' position so common to the Japanese, and her hands end up clasped, index fingers pointed up and out, the girl concentrating heavily.
Power builds up around her, over her, and culminates in a cloud that 'breaks' over her, visibly, pouring down like a waterfall, blue-green energy in the form of water splashing over her body, healing wounds...

As Mika slips past her projectile, Hotaru lowers her arm a little, looking quite spent from the effort only to see the blue sphere of force impact the wall of the gym instead. She can feel the faculty frowning at that without even having to look their way. Doooh. Okay, maybe slinging her chi attacks around like that in here isn't going to win any points with the staff even if it is a somewhat core component to her stronger abilities.
But now at last she has the blond wrestler's attention as Mika makes perfectly clear with that shout just before charging at her. Expecting an attack from the front, Hotaru takes a step to the side, but all that does is make it all the easier for the stronger girl to slip in behind her and get her arms around the Kenpo artist's waist. "Ack!" At that point she's at the mercy of the strong as Mika hefts her right off her feet and drops backward to slam her neck and shoulders into the hard wooden floor. It's this kind of direct abuse that the girl is just not built to take and it shows. Even though she tries to kick her way out of it early, legs swinging uselessly, in the end she just slumps down on her back once she's finally released.
"Ugh..." the girl murmurs. The predominantly Seijyun crowd begins yelling for her to get back on her feet and stick to it even without a partner to back her up though, and Hotaru's conscious enough to hear them. Thus it is that she rolls over onto her side and pushes herself back up to her feet, turning around to face Mika directly. Her charge is a bit slow at first, but picks up speed as she attempts to strike out swiftly toward the young woman by turning her back toward Mika and swinging in with an elbow aimed for her chest. "Ya!"

Rainbow Mika inhales a deep breath after launching Hotaru toward the ground. Exhaling just as deeply, she ignores the beating she's taken so far and fights past the exhaustion that's threatening to settle in. Swinging her own arm downward, she's able to absorb most of the elbow coming toward her chest. "HAH!"
It hurt, but she can't let Hotaru know just how much it did. Reaching in, she tries to grab Hotaru by the elbow that was just used upon her. Wrenching her arm sideways, she tries to lock Hotaru up in a stranglehold, twisting the girl's arm behind her back to force a little more pressure upon her.

With Mika and Hotaru tangling it up--and Mika doing rather well for the moment--Mizuki gets a moment to complete her heal. And the transformation is obvious and uplifting; quite simply, her body simply doesn't -hurt- the way it was just moments ago. Loosing a deep breath, Mizuki rises to her feet, re-gripping her baton... and watching the complex interplay between Hotaru and the wrestler girl.
There isn't much room to get in there and, in truth, Mizuki isn't sure how she will--but she'll try, anyways. Mizuki runs back into the fight, baton held at the ready--whether Mika makes her stranglehold or not, the redheaded miko is going to come sliding in, dropping to one knee and skidding as she attempts to thrust the baton straight into Hotaru's stomach.

Ah, the great two verses one's. Hotaru's ended up in those from time to time. It's a hard struggle, especially considering the calibur of her opponents. She's vaguely aware of Mizuki tending to her injuries off to the side but there's nothing she can do about that as she's busy contending with the powerful Rainbow Mika in close. Her elbow strike fails to strike home which means it's time to get the heck away before she gets caught with her back turned toward the capable wrestler.
She slides just out of reach of Mika's grasp, sparing herself the pain of the intended strangle hold, but doing so has her sliding right into Mizuki's strike at her stomach. There's a wince that elicits a gasp from the girl from the strike, her eyes widening a little. But she's far from out of the fight just from that and instead retaliates with a sudden burst of force... a back flipping kick laced with a powerful torrent of blue chi aimed right at the girl that just stuck a baton into her stomach. "Tenshou..."
Just as she figures she's got the hold, Hotaru's sliding out of the way. Rainbow Mika pauses at this and watches where the girl is heading off to. Then she winces. Mizuki has been put through the wringer tonight in the way of pain focused in on her stomach, and she sincerely hopes that's -not- where that kick is heading. Little she can do about it either way though, unless she tosses herself in front of her and the wrestler is just too far away to close that kind of distance in a timely fashion.
Sneaking up behind Hotaru instead (complete with the little *tink, tink, tink* of footsteps in a comical fashion), the buxom blonde reaches for her once more. Honestly, she's not TRYING to attack her opponent from behind, but like Hotaru said - if one doesn't want to get hit in the back they should stop presenting it. Should she grab Hotaru's shoulders, she hoists her off her feet and tries to slam her down upon an upturned knee.

The chi laced flip kick is a precursor to what comes next as Hotaru snags Mizuki out of the air on her way back down. Pretty much everyone in the audience knows what comes next too. It is, after all, the move the girl is best known for, much to her annoyance. But it does work. That much can't be argued.
The fall out of the air finds the pig-tailed Asian straddling Mizuki at the waist as she presses her hands against the other girl's breastbone. Truth be told she regrets having to put Mizuki through this again, but the opportunity presented itself and holding back when being sandwiched would've guarenteed defeat. "I'm sorry, Mizuki-san," she murmurs through gritted teeth as she draws heavily from the world around her as well as within herself to power up a sphere of energy around the two of them. She even pulls some of Mizuki's own strength into the attack, a technique she's gotten better at controlling over time, adding blue, shimmering sparkles to the sphere that engulfs them both. "aaaaaAAAAH!"
And then she lets it go, allowing the power to collapse back in on herself so that she can channel the blast directly into the girl beneath her. There is a small, invisible shockwave that eminates outward but the floor holds steady and the strength of it has mostly dissipated by the time it reaches the crowd. An exhausted sigh escapes her lips as she slowly starts getting back up to her feet. Whether she'll be aware of Mika in time after such an exhertion remains to be seen!
The pain is incredible; knocked up by that flaring kick, then rode down to the floor and blasted with thunderous, painful chi. Mizuki well remembers the attack, and really wishes she didn't; she may not remember much about it after this. She can't even scream--it's like the air around her is searing hot and burning her lungs, the pure power lacing into her and through her. She's done, my god...
Well, almost. It's all she can do to lift her head. It's an effort of heroic proportions as she lifts her hand up, weakly... her eyes drifting shut as she makes her last effort. And once again, healing energy soars for Mika--a hazy, blue-green pulse, with Mizuki too wracked by pain to focus the energy into its usual stream of water-like power.
And then she's out.

Back on her feet Hotaru is caught from behind by her shoulder again. Yeah, she really needs to do better about exposing her back to her opponents, especially after the big deal she made about it earlier in the fight. But this time she puts her squirrel-like wriggling to work and when Mika has lifted her up, the smaller fighter twists herself out of the hold and manages to slip down onto her feet behind the blond.
With two of the fighters out of the picture now, the crowd is pretty worked up over the state of the fight. Their own little champion might be hard pressed to pull a victory of with Mizuki's power coming to the rescue, but she's darn sure going to try for it.
Now that she's behind the other girl she does the only thing she can think to do given the position. Lifting her right leg up she aims to land a flat footed kick to Mika's lower back with enough force to send her stumbling away!

Ahhh! This time the energy that soars toward her isn't freaked out upon. Rainbow Mika knows what it does, and so she lets it stream against her body, and allows the refreshing chi to reinvigorate her. Good thing she does this too, since otherwise she'd be in a world of pain. Showed up by Hotaru Futaba!
Concerned that her partner is seemingly down, she steps forward to see if she can't convince the girl to get back up. "Mizuki, we can do thi---" WHOMP. Enough force to send her stumbling away? Indeed! The kick nearly has Rainbow Mika -falling- atop her partner, but with a little bit of quick leg work she manages to twist to the side and stagger a few more feet. "Uhhhgh." She's going to need a chiropractor after this fight the way Hotaru keeps whipping those feet toward her spine.
Continually moving, she spins around again, blonde pigtails looking like the blade of a helicopter as she does. They trail behind her as she races in toward her remaining opponent and tries to tackle the girl to the floor.

The stumble gives Hotaru time to prepare for Rainbow Mika's retaliation, coming back in her with the kind of direct force that is surely going to send the smaller girl to the floor if she gets a clean hit. But again Hotaru proves just a little too fast to take down, slipping her feet apart such that she dips into a low crouch herself before kicking off with one foot and rolling to the right and coming back up a little ways up, her back toward the other girl.
Whew, she wheezes. She's had to push herself hard here. This has been a long fight and she hasn't had the benefit of Mizuki's healing touch to keep her strength up either. The least she can do is ditch the blazer though, which she does, shrugging it off and letting it fall flat on the floor. It may be a thousand dollar uniform component, but right now she just doesn't. She's sweating up a storm at this point and having a coat on indoors makes no sense anyway. A point she's often raised while seated in a stuffy class room when the AC is busted, to no avail.
Breathing hard but still ready to keep going, she tries to attack the wrestler with a hold as well. Sliding in fast, shoulder first, she tries to knock Mika's stance loose while grabbing for one of her arms and twisting her over her /own/ shoulder to slam her down to the floor. A simple enough move - popular for its efficiency in combat more than anything. "Ya!"

Knocking Rainbow Mika's stance loose is more difficult than it would seem. Takes a few tries before Hotaru is successful, and when the arm is grabbed, the buxom blonde just laughs. "HAHA!" Twisted over the shorter girl's shoulders she hits the floor and rolls. But even THAT is not enough to keep her down!
Slamming her hands against the floor, she forces herself up to her feet. Skewing her face up into a deep frown, she points at Hotaru and then lashes out with her hands. The intent is to grab the girl and draw her in close for several quick, but hard-hitting headbutts. Chancing that it's going to dizzy the girl, she grabs at either side of Hotaru's head, just under the pigtails and makes an attempt to suplex her over onto her head.

Mika comes out of the slam fairly unscathed. Hotaru kinda expected as much. Wrestler. Even still, the other girl is back up on her feet faster than the Kenpo artist expected. She's feeling rather beat, herself, but Mika looks ready to go for a lot more of this. In fact, she seems pretty amused at this point which Hotaru tries to reflect with a strained smile, herself, feeling the exhaustion of keeping up with her taking hold. When she comes for the Seijyun teen again, the speedy kid backs up out of range before she can get the grip necessary to land what would have been quite a devestating attack.
The girl stumbles a little in the evasive stance, a sure sign of this fight catching up with her fast. But she's ready to give more where her last attacks came from. This time she charges Mika again. The last shoulder tackle didn't do a lot to knock the girl around, but try, try again, right? This time Hotaru crouches low, lunging upward shoulder-first toward the blond's stomach with her left elbow before swinging around with her right hand to follow up with an open palm meant for her chin. "Ha!"

Okay, now Rainbow Mika is seriously ticked. WHAT THE HELL is wrong with her that she can't manage to hit Hotaru at -all- with any of her AWESOME ATTACKS OF AWESOMENESS!? Anger is pretty much the only thing keeping the blonde wrestler going now though, as the elbow hits her in the stomach. "OOOF." Just before she goes flying backward the hand cracks against her chin.
Hitting the ground with a resounding thud, the buxom blonde picks herself up. Spinning around, she flies toward Hotaru once more with the only thing that -did- seem to do even one iota of damage to her. Pigtails flap in her face as she moves backward and aims her buttocks for Hotaru's face, trying to knock her back against the ground. If she can't beat her, maybe she can at least humiliate the girl.
After this attempt though, she joins her partner on the floor. She's just too tired to continue, despite Mizuki's best efforts to keep her in the fight.

Getting in close and staying there seems to have finally allowed her to land the strike she needed. It's easy to underestimate just how hard the girl can hit for her size as her arms certainly don't imply such. But by using attacks that allow her to lend both torso and leg strength to her blows to give them more Umph than one might anticipate. And in this case, that was just the strength needed to seal the deal for this match.
But she can't really tell that it's over as the blond is coming for her again, this time with the same attack she utterly failed to deal with at the start of the fight. Though this time it's more a matter of not having the strength to get out of the way than not understanding where she needs to go.
The strike is dead on in the face again, sending Hotaru sliding back as her feet lose traction against the floor until she comes to a rest against the wall. Everyone in the audience has leaned forward by now, waiting to see if the match is finally over... But Hotaru stumbles away from the wall still standing while no one else in the match is still up which makes her team the winning side in this Seijyun school brawl.
A feeble bow is offered toward the audience and then toward each of the girls that helped make this fight the battle it was which is the last thing she manages to do before she gets surrounded by a gaggle of school girls all eager to be the first to congratulate her on the match, "...I didn't do it alone," she struggles to point out but her voice goes pretty much unheard against that of the mob!
