JINCHUU: "Dark Tide" Mon Sep 17 2007 Seishirou
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MOBSTER: After spending most of round two searching with little success for the tournament organizers, Nikolai Tippin has finally deigned to 'socialize' with some of the other passengers aboard, for given meanings of the word meaning 'threaten and intimidate.' It seems as if, much to his ire, he has little choice.

GEARS: Their truck is currently embedded in the side of the Suiryuu's hull. How did they find out where the Suiryuu would make port? Are they going to be able to dislodge their truck before Hiretsu finds a way to drop it into the middle of the Pacific?

SUPERCOP: Now aboard the Suiryuu, Soma is investigating the goings on deep within the bowels of the ship. Can he scrape up more information? Aboard this ship, information is everything.

WILDCARD: Slowly but surely, Elle and her group have begun to creep ever closer to the truth. With false leads, burned bridges and the ghost and the beast both funnelling information to them, the group has put together most of the story. But can they figure out where it's going in time?

PUNK ROCK: Arika has grown more and more suspicious of the Suiryuu's real intentions by the day. Every day, the ship seems less a glamourous arena and more an ancient weapon filled with moral degenerates like those ninjas, and Sakura. When Eva shows up on her doorstep with a horrific tale to tell, she starts considering plans of her own.

NINJA: With Riko and Seishirou all but disappeared from the main tournament, Hiretsu, the Director of Operations, must persevere and organize the tournament -- and the emergencies within -- himself. But for all of the man's cordial and humbled attitude, his ice cold eyes suggest a different ideal entirely, one only Marise has become privy to.

MARISOL AND PAS: Pretty much just here to get free food, flirt with boys, and party. Go figure. Every luxury ship needs cute girls, right?

JINCHUU: R3 - Bonuses (1/4) Mon Sep 17 2007 Seishirou
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BONUS MATCH! KENJI vs. SADA in "AFTER DISASTER"

After Mad Gear's attack on the Suiryuu was repelled, that left Hiretsu with a rather sticky problem. The nearest crane that could remove the truck safely was over two islands and several thousand dollars away. And, of course, the crew of the Suiryuu have their schedule to mind. What to do? Drop the trailer off of it, empty the port bilge tank, lash the truck to the ship, and set sail. The captain will become cross if a single tractor trailer stops the Suiryuu. That, however, still leaves the problem of how to get it out of the hull. Explosives this close to the hull would be a problem, and with the ship's engineer missing in action, what else can the Director of Operations do? Order a fight on it, of course. Maybe they'll dislodge it. If nothing else, the camera crew and paying company on the deck will have quite a show for their prime-time.
(NOTE: There is another match scheduled near the tractor trailer. ("CLOSED FOR RENOVATION") Whoever completes their match first should optimally let the other match know what, if anything, happened to the truck. Try not to destroy it utterly if you can. Katana will probably have my ass)

BONUS MATCH! - HIMEKO vs. KYLE in "BUCKLED SWASH"

After there was an entire /dojo/ discovered aboard the ship by certain of Jinchuu's more enterprising members, Mad Gear shortly tried to invade it and take this cache of weapons for themselves. Due to the efforts of the security chief, three women and a green monster, this attempt was foiled. Leaving the peculiar expression of the organizer's gratitude: declare a match in the mysterious location. With only the faint lights of the promenade beyond to give the match definition, every wall is lined with weapons. Every wall could outfit an army. Who here will triumph in the shadows of a shinobi dojo?

BONUS MATCH! KATELYNN vs. HINATA in "CLOSED FOR RENOVATION"

The impact of the Mad Gear's truck didn't simply present Hiretsu with a problem of aesthetic symmetry problem. Though the truck impacted well above the waterline of the ship, there is a very obvious weight and hull security problem now, which is causing rampant flooding in the cargo bay in which the ship impacted. Luckily enough, the ship has several watertight bay seals to lock away water. As the bay is almost entirely flooded with the dark, murky waters at this point, Hinata and Katelynn should both be pretty challenged to fight inside. If one set of fighters can't break the truck out of the hull, the Director figures, there's always a chance two sets will do the job just fine..
(NOTE: There is another match scheduled near the tractor trailer. ("AFTER DISASTER") Whoever completes their match first should optimally let the other match know what, if anything, happened to the truck. Again, try not to destroy it utterly if you can. Katana will probably have my ass)

JINCHUU: R3 - Bonuses (2/4) Mon Sep 17 2007 Seishirou
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BONUS MATCH! - PAS vs. ALAN in "DIRTY POOL"

It is the fighting ship of the people. It is the vessel of justice. But beneath all that armor plate and weird technology, the Suiryuu is still a luxury ship. So there is, naturally, a swimming pool on board - on the aft of the main deck, just past the deckchairs, below the promenade. Quite a nice pool, really. And there's going to be a fight there. On camera, quite prominently on camera. Everyone knows that fighters look really good in swimwear - they're all fit, after all. Nice bodies, right? The fans are gonna love this. Of course, there's a few small details. Like the fact they're supposed to battle in the pool. IN the pool. With all the slowed movement and danger of drowning that brings. And there's also the fact the pool's got a lot of water jets and nozzles in it - which wouldn't be that weird, except these are making really big vibrations as they thrum to life. And eventually, it'll become clear...the pipes are attached to whatever system lets the Suiryuu release massive clouds of /steam/...

BONUS MATCH! - MOMO vs. M0M0 in "GAME, SET, MATCH"

It's kinda odd, really. This match has been given a lot of publicity in the media coverage of Jinchuu. Special mention in TV commercials. Info leaked online. It seems like someone's been taking great pains to advertise this fight. But...only one fighter's name has been mentioned - Momo's. There's been no word about her opponent, absolutely no clue on who she's supposed to fight. Still, it's clear great pains have been taken for this fight. The front arena on the main deck's been converted into a tennis court, with the deck spray-painted green and a net strung across the bow...

BONUS MATCH! MARISOL vs. EVA vs. TENMA in "KNOW YOUR ENEMY"

There's no fancy location for this fight. It's just one of the corridors near the cabins. Floor, bulkheads, portholes. No weird environment, no booby traps. Nothing. But...well, you know how there's a library on board, right? Right in the lounge, with lots of materials on tactics and such. Well, if Naerose hasn't stolen them all. See, a couple days before your match...you were given a few choice volumes from that library. Along with a very very thick folder...stuffed full of information... on your /opponent/. Quite specifically about 'em. Biography, fighting style, recorded special moves... a carefully written technical explanation of how they fight. And how to beat them. One hell of a cheat sheet. The thing is, though... your opponent's gotten the same data. About you. (CSYS CONDITION: All fighters have Analysis!)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BONUS MATCH! LUC vs. TRAN in "COLOSSEUM IDOL"

Jinchuu! Filmed in front of a live studio audience! Well, this match, at least. You're down in one of the ship's many hold compartments, surrounded by four walls of steel. But way over your heads, the catwalks have been converted into audience seating. A nice bird's eye view. Fighting in front of a crowd isn't all that unusual... except each member of /this/ audience has a little remote control. With buttons - one for each fighter. And both of you have been fitted with electroshock collars. Better hope that voting doesn't reach a quorum. Democracy sucks.

(NOTE: During this match, you will need at least one R1 player to act as an OOC or IC spectator. This player will simulate damage via the electric field by throwing any applicable thrown object attack once every now and again at the person who seems to be doing the worst to entertain the crowd. Remember. The standard with Jinchuu's audience is going to be action and trickery. Keep moving. Keep talking. But defeat your opponent by any means--the paying audience, at the very least, won't tolerate weakness.)

BONUS MATCH! NAEROSE vs. SOMA in "CAGED BIRD"

Held on suspicion of involvement in the recent attack on the Suiryuu, Naerose Delphine seems to be in a spot of trouble. Strange, too--her cohort was thrown into the brig on a similar pretense, only to be released within hours on Captain's orders. Perhaps the prejudice against our favorite witch has something to do with the massive amounts of thieving? Maybe. At least, until her opponent arrives with the morning meal. It's a cage match. A tight space. All under the watchful eye of full resolution security footage.
(NOTE: Naerose should, as of monday, already be released from confinement on Captain's orders due to 'an amusing performance.' Please backscene this as appropriate. DO NOT SCENELOCK. I will come in the cell and ruin the both of you I swear I will. >:O)

JINCHUU: R3 - Notes! (4/4) Mon Sep 17 2007 Seishirou
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hmm. I have been hearing from some of you two main issues. Either there's scheduling troubles and the match ends up stalling all the way up to deadline, or some of you have (!!) been scenelocked for the entire round. Fellas, neither of these situations should be happening for your matches. That is why you have friendly tournament organizers like me. 8)

At no point should you EVER be scenelocked aboard the Suiryuu, for any reason at all. No match is ever scripted to start with long periods of confinement and for all intents and purposes should be considered 'for the duration of your fight only' unless you're directly told otherwise. If you're trapped in some weird spot in the ship for your match, you will always, /always/ be released immediately after your fight by a tournament official or mysterious voice. Under most circumstances, you will not drown, be crushed, electrocuted, or exploded regardless of your character's performance. Unless of course you really want to be. Then you can suck all you want. (Now what other tournament is any of that even an issue? :D;; usually there's only the other guy to worry about)

In pursuant to the line above, I also would like to stress again.. The Suiryuu, while spending the majority of its time out at sea, does make port regularly. At no point in time should you be considered 'trapped aboard the ship' if you want to RP mainland. Backscene--whatever you have to do. If you don't have a reason to leave the ship, use the staff as an excuse--say you were sent on an paid errand to pick up supplies, or a patron aboard the ship. Both are the two reasons the ship makes port. We don't /care/. We encourage RP aboard Suiryuu. We do not enforce it. :O

Also, if you're having trouble getting your match done and it's running up against deadline time, by all means, /let me know/. I do try and keep abreast of what's going on with all the matches, but sometimes someone is going to be comatose for the week or something and didn't tell anybody. In that case, if I can't get ahold of the guy I'll probably let that guy off the hook and give you guys the clear to continue your match, or reassign you with someone more compatible. (I DO now have a few extra guys hanging around it seems.. where in the world did Blanka come from?! :O)

Anyway, case in point, if you're having an issue--any issue that's getting in the way of your RPing, drop me a @mail. Chances are, something's going wrong that I need to fix. :O Thanks guys, you've been great so far.
