Jinchuu - [R3] [Cut] Let Him Trap Me

Description: Hakuya and Sakura strike up a conversation, while two more freeloaders find their way onto the Suiryuu. Why didn't Seishirou just institute an admission policy? Geez...

Well, that was weird. He doesn't remember the name of the girl he was bunked with, though he does remember meeting her and learning how to... 'dance' from her. He didn't really her to be the shy type, however. But maybe she's just a different person when she's not at a club or dance floor, or something. Either way, he'd felt it would be best if he left and went to accomplish something he'd had his mind on since he first heard of the tournament - and Pas seemed to agree, wholeheartedly.
That thing was no small feat, however. How does one find a single person aboard a large ship like the Suiryuu? Especially when that one person is a -ninja-. For all Hakuya knew, the entire time he was searching for the ninja known as Seishirou, the guy would be -right behind him-. The entire time. Just following him around, and ducking around or hiding whenever the Suigetsu heir turned to look around.
...That particular thought was so unnerving to the boy that, as soon as he emerged from the hallway that the cabins were located on, he pauses... and then looks over his shoulder. Frowning, he scans the area intently, as though he really were expecting Seishirou to be there in the shadows. Seeing nothing, though, he looks confused. But eventually he overcomes this, just turning back around and starting to walk up the main deck, curiously looking about.
It doesn't take long, however, before that thought creeps up on him again. What if Seishirou WAS following him? He wouldn't put it past the ninja. After all, the man seemed... well, spooky. To be perfectly honest, Hakuya was a little scared of him. Not terrified or anything, but it did... unnerve him. And all the books and TV shows he'd read/seen about ninjas told him that the idea the guy was -right behind him- all the time was totally, entirely, possible. So all of a sudden, without warning, he flips around, a full 180! ...To see nothing. He quickly does it again, and then one more time, frowning. And then, with all the logic in the world backing him up... he begins to do the ultimate anti-ninja shadowing technique.
He starts walking backwards, eyes warily scanning the shadows. No doubt a teenager walking backwards and looking paranoid up the ship's main deck would look pretty odd.

Not only does it look odd, it looks like a perfect opportunity for the Suiryuu's chief of security to pull a harmless prank. Sakura Kasugano had just started on a popsicle she's obtained at the yacht's shop -- a =wonderful= treat for a mild summer's day like this one. And to see someone she recognizes as one of the competitors in this "Jinchuu" tournament to be walking backwards... well. If they aren't headed somewhere, they can always use a friendly reminder that danger lurks everywhere, especially if they've put the fear of the ever-present curse out of their minds.

That is to say, Kasugano walks silently up behind him, getting excessively close to the boy's neck, and... blows =arctic= cold air over the top of her popsicle. Cold air + back of neck = potential shock + laffo, especially if he's =expecting= a spirit or ninja or some kind.

Granted, as soon as the boy starts to turn around, she'll try to play it off like nothing odd's happened. "Hey, watch it, pal! You could get hurt walkin' 'round a boat like that!"

His ultra-secret technique for spotting ninjas, defeated?! Normally, cold air against him isn't so much of a problem. After all, they were on the ocean, and wind tended to be cold. But this was different. The cold air was just a minor flow of it, directed entirely to his neck, and the rest of air about him didn't shift at all. So it was pretty obvious that someone was behind him! The fact of that alone was more shocking than the cold air itself (though it does tingle). Leaping forward suddenly, and pivoting on a foot, Hakuya actually manages to look a tiny bit panicked, his hand coming around balled into a fist, held low at his hip in a defensive sort of posture... but once he sees who's standing there (namely: not Seishirou) he relaxes instantly, letting out a sigh of relief.
"Ha ha... I could've walked into you, you're right. I'm very sorry, ma'am," he says, rubbing the back of his neck. Just like him - nevermind if HE gets hurt, he's far more worried about other people. He dips himself into a bow of apology, and then looks a little more closely at who he nearly-bumped into. "Um..." he starts. "Would you... happen to know anything about this tournament?" An odd question, but he helpfully clarifies with: "About the people running it, I mean. Other than yourself, I mean. Um... I assume... the organizer of the event. The ninja guy." He says that last part with all seriousness.

Kasugano's come to realize that one need not be on the lookout for ninjas -- they'll be the ones finding =you=. That sort of philosophy is easier to live with than trying to find some sort of 'bait', because a ninja will never fall for such a simple trap. It's best to just not try outthinking them at all, really.

Still, Kasugano has something to smile about: namely, Hakuya's reaction to her sudden chill breeze. A grin creeps across her face as she nods back in reply. "'Ma'am,' huh? Call me Sakura." That's not a suggestion, it's an ORDER, see: "ma'am" is way too formal for her. But at least she's not offended, if the gentle smile on her face is a clue.

As to his query, she nods slowly. "Yeah, I know tons about Seishirou. He's quiet, rude, and you'll never find him walking backwards through this ship. ... If you're =lucky=, you won't find him at all." Kasugano takes a pull on her popsicle, before adding with a raised finger, "He's the kinda guy that, if you end up actually seeing him, you're already in his trap." Laughing, she tilts her head to the side, eagerly gauging Hakuya's reaction to that. "Worried yet?"

"S-Sakura," he echoes, nodding his head. "My name is Hakuya," he offers back, and does another bow, apparently still being rather formal despite the insistence on non-formality. But he's quite apt to pay attention when Sakura begins speaking on Seishirou. Quiet, rude, and never find him-- oh. Smiling a bit sheepishly, the embarrassment at least gets done away with fairly quickly when she makes mention of what happens when you DO finally see him. "Eh-heh... yeah, that does sound like him..." he says, looking uncomfortable for a moment. After all, that's pretty much exactly what he'd gone through. He looks uncomfortable remembering his 'free' trip to Thailand and the ensuing boat ride back. But enough with that!
Alright, now it was time to ask real questions! But those questions seem to be failing him at the moment. Frowning, he scratches his cheek, trying to think. "Um... well, I don't want to burden you much. You seem like you're busy--" walking around with a popsicle was busy, after all! "--but, I wanted to know... if you knew anything about Seishirou... um... well, if he has anything planned?" Hakuya pauses here to look around at the ship itself, which is somehow creepy. It's probably the weird arcane lines drawn everywhere, and the fact the ship is really stripped down. "This boat... is not normal. And he seems to have some goal in mind..." he turns back to Sakura, looking a little serious. "Do you know anything about it, Sakura? Do you know if his goals are meant to cause anyone harm?" Besides the fact he's running, well, a fighting tournament.

Kasugano's grin grows larger by degrees - partly because he's so nervous, partly because she can tell that his SENSE! OF! JUSTICE! is intact. No hurting anyone? Great! "... Heh, I don't think he would!" Notice her total lack of certainty! "He might inconvenience people, put them in the infirmary for a day or three, but =hurt?=" Kasugano shakes her head. "Nah, he's not like that. Real gentleman, in a ... kinda jerkish, creepy sorta way!"

Stepping back away from the door, she plans to give a bit more room to anyone who might be wanting to head in or out of the cabins, and her positioning suggests Hakuya might want to do the same. No sense in obstructing traffic! "But yeah, lots of questions there, otherwise... " She counts off on her fingers as each point is mentioned: "Um... does he have something planned? Most definitely! Is this boat a part of it! Sure! See, Sei doesn't do anything without a plan." Her third finger raises a bit more slowly: "... do I know anything about his plan? Nope. It's... pretty dense to me, I mean... he's got this giant boat, it's a =wellspring= of chi, and... we're not moving anywhere." She takes another draw of her popsicle, thinking further for a moment. "He's pretty good at following through on bargains, so you can bet there'll be a pot of gold at the end of this rainbow, if that's your bother!"

All of a sudden, a small 'whump' sound is heard at the side of the boat. In this case, it's nothing. Really.

To Birdie however, there was a reason for this. After sailing all night on his raft of logs chained together with... chains, he came to a stop at the hull, paddling it in with his bare hands. The sound is just the small raft hitting the armored boat. He hand his mission, and he's going to see it through.

Climbing, hand over hand as he begins to ascend the side, he finally comes up half way before he sees somewhere he can anchor his chain. Unraveling it and winding up for a moment, the heavy links ascend upwards before coming to rest, striking the t-hook, used on boats to keep it anchored to the dock. Instead, it's used to let Birdie climb up, the links clacking as he climbs. Seconds pass, and finally, the large black man hauls himself onto the ship with a loud landing.

Taking his chain back, he wraps it up.

He's actually not too far from where Sakura or Hakya are talking. And... it's really hard to miss him. He grins at nothing, just looking around.

Now -that- was weird. He'd thought he had Seishirou pegged pretty well, but hearing such a startlingly contrasting review of the man clashed pretty hard with his preconceptions. In sort, it wasn't only weird, it was a little shocking, too. Of course, there's the possibility that Sakura doesn't know Seishirou as well as she claims. But regardless, for now, all he has is his own opinions, and Sakura's, who has more weight to her words. After all, she was part of the staff, and if Seishirou was the kind of guy Hakuya thought he was, he wouldn't have anyone he didn't trust on the staff. Right?
Still, he can't keep the surprise out of his face, even if he remains quiet all through what Sakura says (though, like she, he does move to allow any traffic through). He's not the smartest, quickest guy, no. But his thought processes were oddly logical, despite this. It just took him a long time to get to that decision, because he considered stuff more carefully. First were the kidnappings, then this boat -filled with chi-... and the fact they weren't moving anywhere, despite being on a boat, was a little odd. It could be nothing at all, but it still nagged at him. Shock slowly fades to contemplation, lips twisting down into a frown as he thinks.
And then a large black man pulls himself up onto the deck of the boat.
Hakuya hears, rather than sees Birdie, and his gaze lifts to regard the man. His expression then can only be read as 'confusion' and were this a certain video game, he'd totally be getting a large '?' over his head right now. He openly looks at Birdie in curiosity, as he was somewhat surprised by the big man's entrance.
And if the big man happens to look his way, Hakuya will just give him a bow of greeting. So very Japanese, this one.

Kasugano doesn't know what the young man =expected= Seishirou to be like, but she can read faces enough to know he didn't match expectations. "Eh... you get used to it. Don't think too hard about Sei -- it only hurts the brainmeats!" She laughs, taking another draw on her popsicle as her eyes follow Hakuya's to the person causing all the noise and hullabaloo.

Her first thought upon seeing Birdie is -- hey, those chains are ship's property! But then she remembers who the guy is, and recalls that chains are part of his schtick. She has a pretty good memory for fighters who've shown up Saturday Night Fights and tournaments, after all. ... The Chief of Security =is= still concerned, however, and pulls a little notepad out of her pocket, jotting something down real quick. If Birdie notices her, she might wave cheerily -- not in any great rush to 'apprehend' him or anything just yet.

"Mm... all kinds of people wanna ride the boat to nowhere." Smirking, she turns back to the young man before her. "So you did pretty well against Marisol, huh? I haven't fought 'er yet, she seems pretty tough..."

The large man doesn't really look towards them at first, just looking around, here and there, as if he's looking for something. He sure is already loitering. Finally, the looks of the two fighters seem to draw his attention.

Birdie looks up, and even for a split second, grins. He slowly approaches them, slowly but surely making his way towards the group. He's taking his time and looking around as he makes his way over.

Looking back up, he does what he's supposed to, "HEY! What in the bloody hell are /you/ lookin' at?" He snarls. Birdie has excellent conversation skills.

Marisol, what? The name catches his attention right back out of looking at the foreigner, his head turning back towards Sakura. That is, after Birdie finally notices them, to which he bobs in aforementioned quick bow. "Um? You saw that?" he asks. "She is very strong, though very prone to getting angry... and that fight, she was letting it get to her too much..." he says, and actually looks... kinda pained, remembering it. He doesn't like it when people are so angry, and he managed to really, really piss off Marisol. And of course it wasn't in him to just say she was a bitch - it was all HIS fault.
He'd say more on the subject, or possibly just stand there looking uncomfortable more, but that's when Birdie starts walking over. The sudden loud call makes Hakuya blink, looking over (and up) to the big man. Instantly, he's holding his hands up and waving them a little, looking nervous. And also doormat-like. "Uh... n-nothing! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable or anything, I was..." a pause, "just looking at your weapons. You seem like a strong fighter, so I was interested! I'm real sorry." Again, always *his* fault.

"Yeah, I watch a few of the fights." She pauses for a moment, and adds, "All the fights are recorded televised, just so y'know. Gotta keep this operation afloat =somehow=, and fighting's the big cash cow of the millenium, or some junk like that." Kasugano can't complain, what with the paycheck she's getting. "But... hmm. Yeah, she loses her temper a bit. Not always a bad thing if she can manage to get the job done, but... yeah. Gotta learn to keep it in check, right?" She snickers, glancing back to watch Birdie...

Just in time to catch that grin. Yeah, Sakura saw what you did there, Birdie. ... seems just a little suspicious, really, to be smiling =and then= surly, but hey, whatever. Scratching her cheek at the 'greeting', she shrugs mildly. "Lookin at you. You're not on my guest registry." She smiles cheerily, at that. "Sakura Kasugano, chief of security. Pleased to meet you. And you are...?"

Kasugano can be exceedingly formal when she =needs= to be. ... It's hard for a 5'3" Japanese girl to be truly =authoritative= to someone nearly two feet taller, but oddly... she doesn't seem intimidated by the tough act!

As Birdie approaches, he puts to mind that Hakuya was an easy person to intimidate. As he bowed and sucked up, trying to avoid a beating by being the nicest, most straight forward man you could possibly be. Birdie seems that he would be fun to intimidate, but apparently, some one else wanted to deal with him. And she's security.

This is because he's black, isn't it! Haha, not really. He is a thug.

As he approaches and finally stops in front of Sakura, "Hahaha. You're the bloody security? Okay. I feel safe here." He snorts, folding his arms across his chest. You can obviously tell he's sarcastic. "Birdie. I'm just visiting. A'ight? I knew I could count on you, dove." He answers as he begins to pass through, still looking at the ship. "Ship's a beaut though. First time seeing it."

Intimidate? No. In truth, while he looks nervous and is trying to calm the other man, his placating comes mostly from the fact he doesn't want to piss anyone off, or worse, start a fight. He doesn't really like fighting, despite his chosen profession in life. Fortunately some of the pressure is taken off him when Sakura talks. His nervousness is lost, and his hands drop to his sides again, looking largely normal... except for when Birdie is sarcastic towards Sakura. A brief tinge of concern enters his features, but it's quickly fought down. After all... preconceptions or not, the one thing that HAD messed up between his own opinions and Sakura's, was that Seishirou was a careful planner. If Seishirou wanted the tournament to go forward, why would he hire weak security? So, he lets Sakura handle it, and for now remains quiet, eyes following after Birdie.

Sakura, weak? Sure, if Birdie -- and maybe even Hakuya -- want to think she's weak, then she's already won the battle of wills! ... But really, she feels confident enough she could toss either of the two off the boat if she needed to.

She doesn't, yet. So she just smiles back at Birdie, nodding her head in agreement. "Good!" She knows he's being sarcastic, and that's okay, because she's sarcastic too! ... Most of the time, anyway. "Sure thing," she says, "I'm here to serve." It's not like she plans to kick people off for not having tickets -- it's doubtful =anyone= has tickets unless they want the deluxe accomodations, after all. "I'll pass that on to the owners! Enjoy your stay here!"

Really... Sakura doesn't have anything particularly enlightening to say at the moment, precisely because it is =not= her place to toss anyone off. She could easily =do= so, of course... but it's not currently in her interest to do so. And that ought to be very obvious in her mannerisms, as she turns back to Hakuya with a grin. And... noting that he's awfully quiet, she holds her hand out to him, turning back to Birdie. "And this here's Hakuya, one of our contestants in Seishirou and Riko's happy little game. That's what you're here for, right?"

Birdie nods towards Sakura. "Great. You're a bloody winner." Birdie answers as he begins to head the other way on the boat. Truly, if Hakuya or Sakura were alone, Birdie would have been happy to dispose of the law on the boat, or just try to throw the other punk overboard. Either way, he sets out to do a little sight seeing on the boat, a large smile for his large figure.

Clomping forward, he can already tell the boats going to be a long walk. However, he had plenty of time. He might meet up with a guy to beat up. Haw haw. Yeah.

Hakuya's always been the type to just let others do the talking for him. He always thinks others are far more eloquent than he is when talking, and beyond that... he just likes listening. Listening was good. So, when he's taken as being 'awfully quiet' he blinks, looking down to the hand Sakura offers to introduce him, and then up to the girl herself. He bows a bit towards Birdie who... already seems to be heading off! "Um... well, in any case... I thank you for your help, Sakura. But I still am not sure about Seishirou's ambitions. So... I will need to let him trap me, I guess." He says this with perfect logic, and nods his head again. Giving a more relaxed smile to Sakura, he turns and then walks off. "I have some things I need to buy... but hopefully I'll see you again. Good bye!" he calls over his shoulder, waving.

As the big, burly, strange-haired English Punk walks off from where Sakura and Hakuya chat, another decidely rude, less than upstanding citizen and resident of the Suiryuu for now comes around the corner, muttering something about the heating. Birdie might get a flash of bright green and purple before he's bumped into by the one and only Vyle, the smaller man backing up...and giving Birdie a look. "...do I know you?"

A 'bloody winner.' Not the most, uh, endearing of comments there! But really, she knows very little about either Hakuya =or= Birdie, and with that guy being so... shy? She doesn't really feel like starting trouble. Even if Birdie =looks= like trouble, he hasn't done anything. Yet. She hates being the bad guy, really!

But... she did have a bit of concern about Hakuya. "Oh. Uh..." She scratches her cheek there. Need to let him trap him, wot? "... Well, really, hey... d'ya mind if I come with for a moment?" She takes another draw on her popsicle -- poor thing's almost gone by now -- and jogs to catch up with Hakuya, heading along to the store with Hakuya. "Just... got a couple questions for =you=, actually, if you got some time..."

"Hm?" Hakuya asks of the air intelligently. Stopping in his stride, he turns his head to regard Sakura, who by then has caught up with him. "Come with me?" he asks again, blinking, but then shrugging a bit, and beginning to walk along to the store up the deck a ways again. "Sure! I don't mind," he says as he starts walking again, offering the other teenager his usual vacant smile. "But, what kind of questions could you have for me...?" He was just a contestant, after all, and wasn't really anyone special. No, really. Surviving a 9,000 foot fall and being able to get up and walk around two days later with no ill effects? No one special.

Kasugano nods slowly, jogging ahead to meet up with Hakuya. The idea of a guy =this= nice and passive being on a ship full of this many... well, =interesting= characters amuses her, and... really? She feels she may be able to have a use for the guy.

"Ah... I dunno. You seem like you're pretty paranoid or something, like you were watching out for Seishirou. ... Has there been anything that'd lead you to believe he's looking for you? Or anything... weird? Out of the ordinary?"

"Out of the ordinary...?" he asks. Blinking, he thinks for a little while, being silent as he ponders what, exactly, makes him think Seishirou is so untrustworthy. When they finally get to the shop, he pauses in front of it, not yet engaging the shop keeper. His thought processes run a little more, pulling together all the data he's collected on Seishirou. And the more he thinks about it, the more he can't escape just the one instance in which Seishirou proved himself to be untrustworthy. So, turning to Sakura, he looks dead serious as he says: "He kidnapped me and took me to Thailand, where he fought me until he was satisfied, and then left me with a derelict fishing boat, a map, and a week's worth of supplies to get home with."

Blink, blink. "... Well, okay." So that would definitely qualify as a 'trap'. There are some things the security chief's notebook didn't have listed in it. Paling, she scratches the side of her cheek again, nodding her head in agreement. "Well, okay. Sure. That qualifies as 'unusual!'"

She's momentarily at a loss for words, so she takes a moment to finish off that popsicle, and toss the bare stick into the trash. "Mmm... I meant more about on this ship, though. More because I'm technically the chief of security, and I'm... well, the only =member= of security." She laughs weakly, and adds, "So some stuff, and some people, occasionally get by me! Like that guy back there, Birdie." She chuckles faintly, looking at the store for a moment. "... Fishing boat, huh. See, he didn't want to =hurt= you."

Speaking of things that get by security...

He's not even paying attention to the conversation between Sakura and Hakuya, but coincidence would dictate that this would be the perfect place to go for a walk right about now. Hands stuffed into his pockets and a rather sour look on his face, Ryuji Yamazaki pushes his way through the cabin doors and trudges out onto the main deck. "God, this is boring." A look is given to the left, then to the right before he starts to walk over towards one of the sides of the superyacht. "Ain't had a damn thing to do since I got here, 'n this boat has been botherin' me ever since I got onboard." The right hand slips out of its pocket, switchblade in hand, and the knife is put through a short series of spins between his fingers. "Swear, I'm gonna goddamn break somethin' if I don't find somethin' to punch soon." Still no mind paid to the other people on the boat at the moment, he just leans against the railing and peers out over the water.

Rubbing the back of his head as Sakura tells him 'he didn't mean to hurt' it doesn't really look like he's buying it all that much. "Coulda fooled me... he tried to blow me up..." he says, frowning. But, regardless, he then shakes his head as to the other point of Sakura's. "Well, no... nothing really, that isn't so obvious. I mean..." he gestures to the superyacht itself. "The boat is being charged with chi... why? And even though we're fighting on a boat, we've not left port at all. Which isn't highly unusual, but it just seems... odd, I guess." He considers a little bit more, frowning in thought the whole way. But ultimately, he ends up shaking his head again. "I suppose those have good reasons behind them, but... I'm not entirely trusting of Seishirou. But, I suppose I'll just need to find him, or have him find me, and talk to him about it."
There's a small pause as he considers something else Sakura said. "But... wait, you're the only security person onboard? Wow..." He gives another of his vacant smiles to Sakura, and says, "You must be really strong, then, to have Seishirou trust you that much... I knew you looked pretty strong, but I could only guess how much, now."

"Well... it wasn't fatal. Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Builds character, bunch of crap like that." She gestures her hands to say she doesn't =fully= subscribe to the theories she just stated. "... Seriously? It's some twisted sense of enforced discipline, I think. To challenge you, to make you =stronger=. It's kinda like when I trained with Ryu... it was always at full-force. He never once 'went easy' on me... because I won't learn anything that way." She shrugs faintly. "From what he's said, that's all he really wants to do =here=. Make people stronger. Have to break some eggs to make an omelette, or however that saying goes."

She takes a deep breath, walking throughout the storefront for a moment before turning back to Hakuya. "Yep. Charged with chi. And we actually have left port a few times, usually while fights're goin' on an' such, so's to keep from ticking off the locals." She shrugs faintly, adding, "Heck, talking with him probably won't help you much. He'll only give you answers if he needs you to do something for him. I mean, to listen to one story his assistant cooked up, he wants to make us the start of some kind of super-legion of fighting heroes or something." Actually that story was partly Sakura's fault, and it was just Seishirou and Sakura... but that's what one gets listening to Riko.

"But... eh. I dunno, maybe it's some ninja plot to drive the boat to the Arctic Circle and tilt the earth off-kilter five degrees so we get more heat here than in the tropics. Could be some crazy weather machine. Who knows!?"

She blinks afterwards. "Uh... yeah, just me! I just need more eyes and ears. No matter where I am on the boat, somethin's happenin', so I can only imagine what happens where I'm =not= a--" Pause. She glances over to notice Yamazaki, off to the side. "What the heck is he doing..."

Kasugano shakes her head, running her fingers through her hair. "Anyway. Just sayin... if you see someone new coming on board, or actin suspicious... could you let me know?"

Hakuya, as well, doesn't seem to subscribe to those ideas. Or at least, not the extreme that Seishirou seemingly does. Giving a little shrug, he's not actually sure what to make of Seishirou anymore... but, he just can't shake the idea he really shouldn't trust the guy. But maybe that was a good thing, considering one probably should -never- trust a ninja, good guy or not. Though he does look a little incredulous as Sakura describes... 'the plan'. "Uh...?" he offers, before shaking his head. "Regardless, I have to see for myself... I'm just uneasy, I guess, but Seishirou didn't really paint himself in a good light..." he says, looking more thoughtful. But once she seemingly recruits him, he blinks, looking up at her. "Huh? Uh... yeah! I'd be glad to help you protect this ship. I'll let you know if I see anything."

"Oh." The Chief of Security pauses here. "Well I'm still not saying =trust= him." Pausing again, she adds, "... but just don't be =too= weirded out. Give the guy some credit, I mean, but if you don't agree with something he's doing, say so!" Sakura certainly would punch him in the face if he tried anything she didn't totally agree with!

Ooh, help to protect. "Oh. Sweet! That's pretty awesome then. I'm... well, I'm not =entirely= sure how I'd... oh right, the PA system." She laughs and waves off her internal monologue, not having meant to speak her thoughts like that. "Thanks for your help! I know you're a fighter in the tournament and all, and we =just met= and all... but really, you seem like a pretty trustworthy guy!" It's not like she could just up and ask Birdie or Yamazaki to help, after all. "And... if I see Seishirou I'll try and let 'im know you wanna talk, /mano e mano/, or however you say it." She laughs briefly, stepping back a bit. "Really, that's all! Sorry to bother ya!"

He's trying to do just that, in fact, but Seishirou is pretty tricky to pin down and punch in him in the face, y'know. Nodding his head, he smiles more at Sakura as she wraps up their meeting, listening to what she says intently, so he can remember it all. It's the comment - or rather, compliment? - that gets his attention most of all, however. He blinks in surprise, and then rubs the back of his head nervously, smiling again. "Ah... well, thank you. You seem very trustworthy, as well, Sakura. Thank you... and I bothered you first, to begin with," he says, and offers his best smile. Assuming she'll walk away then, he'll turn towards the shop keep and begin to buy things... most notably, an entire LACK of any sort of weapons, but mostly toiletries and... a big supply of strawberry milk?
