Description: Somewhere deep in the Suiryuu Arahna decides to take a risk and attempt to contact Blackjack, but will his risk pay off? Or is he seriously using Naerose as his contact? This can't end productively.
Deep in the ship it was quiet, mostly. There was in the halls between sleeping cabins one particular witch in red stood, leaning on a wall. The noise you might of heard if you came down these halls, and would be still hearing, might be her repeated banging of a ball against the wall with her broom like some sort of hockey stick. She's not great at this game, as the ball often gets missed causing her to hit the wall instead. If the broken fire extinguisher case was any indicator, she had been playing this game in another location previously, but apparently breaking stuff wasn't exactly her intent.
%She looked almost like a punk kid here, almost, except she was a little old for that. If anyone had complained previously to the banging, she must of ignored it as this game seems to take up much of her attention at the moment.
As Aranha steps out of his cabin he's greeted to a surprise. A woman in red wearing shades and he raises an eyebrow. Eventually the surprise gives way to a strange combination of annoyance and amusement. "The Lady in Red?"
He moves towards the red witch with a combination of trepidation and curiosity before he finally speaks up praying that talking to the witch won't jinx him for the rest of the tournament. "Careful you might..." with a pause as he looks over to the already broken fire extinguisher, "..break something."
A lady in red. Naerose would challenge anyone to think of a single time she didn't wear red. Unless you count the fish outfit an outfit. That wasn't going to be the only thing she had broken, just the most obvious. Technically she also was responsible for breaking a light and denting a vent and knocking a sign off the wall, despite being bolted on. These things she at least had thought ahead enough to hide the evidence on.
Shades are adjusted as she looks at Aranha and then gives him a winning smile.
Nah, I'm not gonna break anything, I'm really careful, but I think ahh, someone else broke some stuff.

"You know, I hadn't seen you in awhile and I was starting to think you lost interest in me. Not that I'm very hurt by it." Not hurt indeed. He tends to do better in fights where Naerose /doesn't/ make her presence felt. But he decides that it's probably best that he doesn't elaborate on that for the time being.
Aranha's look over the entire scene and then back to the shaded witch. "I knew I saw you at the opening ceremony."
There's a question that Aranha wants to ask the red clad witch but he's attempting to feel her out to find out whether he really should be asking that question anyway and so he puts out the feeler instead. "You know that time that we didn't meet?"
If Aranha was making any sense right now, you wouldn't know it looking at Naerose, who didn't seem to follow at all. A moment or two passes where crickets can somehow be heard, or maybe that is something else like crickets? Like... Naerose' imagination? Yeah probably.
Not to answer a question with a question, but she asks,
"Say ahh, you havn't seen a rabbit around here somewhere? I seem to of misplaced Sylvester somewhere and I can't remember where.." She sort of presses her fingers together, having forgotten all about the game of playing hockey with her broom and the wall.
"No, I haven't." Aranha realizes that Naerose has forgotten that whole act she went into after the tryouts for Blackjack's Thief. It is made clear that he's going to need to be up front with the witch and stop dancing around the issue. "Even if she and the rest of the crew probably wants nothing to do with me, I'll need to arrange a meeting..."
He takes a deep breath as he watches the witch. He can't help but look at her and wonder at how strange she is. He doesn't spend very long on that train of thought. He doesn't want to delve to deep into the rabbit hole of her sanity.
She's perfectly sane. Perfectly. But since she doesn't know the question of her sanity was going through Aranha's head, all she can do is ask,
"Wait, she? You must have a date or something, " Naerose says and flashes a bright little smile,
"So lets see who is on this boat you could be going out on a date with. . " She considers she doesn't have any clue who is on the boat for the most part.
"Sakura?"
Date... Wait. DATE!?!?!? It's fairly obvious that Naerose that has the wrong idea. The actual thought of dating Elle gives him the heebie jeebies, plus why would he date someone who literally put his ass through a door just because.
Of course he's fairly good about bluffing poise and composure. He doesn't see a need to let the witch no that he's absolutely horrified. He says in an even, neutral tone, "No. This is business... I need to talk to Elle, as soon as possible."
"Err.. Elle..?" The witch adjusts her shades and then scratches her head, "You're not dating Sakura?" She frowns some at her failure at properly detecting who Aranha was going out on a date with.
"Err.. Okay." The witch says with a shrug and pulls out her phone, a red razr. "I dunno if I wanna know what this one is about." The witch says and dials something on her phone.
"So lemme see," Apparently she reaches or dials the voice mail directly, at any rate it's not a person,
"Umm, so yea, this is a message for Elle, some guy wants to meet you, he says his name is Aranha or something." She flips the phone shut.
"So how's that?"
Aranha watches as Naerose whips out the red razr(gotta love that red motif she has going). He stays quiet as she leaves a voice mail. Of course he has no guarantee that Naerose actually made the call but there's not much he can do about it if she didn't make the call.
He knows at this point though, everything else is out of his hands. All he can do is wait, whether it's for the next match-ups or for Elle to respond to the message. Either way, Aranha is going to make his exit. "Anyway, thanks. And could you do me a favor, and stay away from my matches?"
"Ahh.. Okay.." She looks really confused now.
"So er.. you started smoking, you really ought to give that up, it's bad for you, seriously, I'm worried about you." The witch tips her hat and turns to go back into her own cabin. Why? Probably to take a nap, because napping is the second best thing to her favorite activity.. Eating free food.
