Jinchuu - [R2] [Cut] Honor

Description: Two thieves meet in the cargo hold of the mysterious ship and work on an agreement. A tit for tat, but can these thieves hold up to their deals without trying to betray one another? Probably... not.

Well, he's finally on the ship. Even if it took quite a while, he's here. But now that he's here....what next?

Without any word about what they're going to do next for this little tournament, Vyle is a bit wayward. And when the heel gets wayward, he tends to do things....immoral. And today's no exception, as the former luchadore and wrestling champion finds himself wandering...until he reaches the hold. Dim lighting...lots of cargo....this means lots of things to steal and lots of places to hide if someone were to catch him. Grinning as he walks through, aisle by aisle, he rubs his hands together, smirking and plotting. "Oh...this is gonna be good....."

Vyle was unfortunately beaten to the punch. There was a Red Witch in question who had to come through this area once already just to get onto the ship and now here she was again. First it was to take notice of things, where everyting was and so on, the state of the ship, the state of the holds, but more importantly the state of the the things inside the crate. This wasn't theft, it was just quality control. Sitting here, in the dark, with her broom like a crowbar, the witch attempts to pry opened one of the crates, though struggling somewhat as her broom makes a pretty poor crowbar.

"Wehw!" she says, "Time for another double shot of expresso." Luckily she actually has one of those small starbucks energy cans and downs it in one gulp. This of course didn't bode well for much of anyone.

Vyle has an ear for things like this. And when he hears something like someone trying to pry open a wooden crate with a broom, his head turns. "...that sounds like someone stealing the crap I was going to steal," he mutters to himself, eyes narrowed. Tracking the sound the best he can with all the echos, he sneaks around through the shadows, trying to hide himself behind one of the crates and sidle near. It'd help if he wasn't as brightly colored as a mardi gras float, of course. He should have thought to bring his black jacket....

As if Naerose was one to talk. She's decked out in all red. Which was pretty standard for her, but all the same, the broom thing wasn't working, so she resorts to step two, smashing the crap out of the crate. This was of course once covered in a well known bonus stage, but this time had an extra twist, smash the crap out of the container without actually harming the contents within. So she has to use baby smack the crap out of. On the upside, this was a good work out, low difficulty, high repetition. It was said low impact training was a good thing to do.

Of course, a broom handle tends to be pretty bad for such things to. And it also gives Vyle more sound to help track where that sound is coming from....at least, between ogling the crates he sneaks behind. "Hrm...." Mentally noting the location of these crates, Vyle continues on...and finally, he spots the source of that sound. "....didn't I kick her ass before?" he asks himself, shaking his head before trying to sneak even closer.

Everyone thinks they've fought Naerose and won, but who actually has? The question would be debated until the end of time. This may or may not be true, but what was certainly true was that she didn't seem to learn from it if she did. Being quiet was not a concern of the witches, infact the only thing she seemed to care about right now was not losing to a damned crate. Also to do it in the say that most resembled playing golf, cause tiger woods was cool.

"Birdie!" she exclaims, then takes another swing at the crate.

Vyle has, in fact beaten Naerose before. He remembers it, if only because he fought that annoying prat Dan right after her...and barely lost to him. Bastard didn't know when to stay down. Either way, Vyle's starting to get annoyed at the fact that Naerose seems content just to smack the crate, with little progress in cracking it open. "....oh, Christ, don't you know anything about stealing crap?" he mutters, loud enough to hear as he steps from behind his crate. He knows he can beat her, if it comes to that...and at this point, he figures she's no competition in stealing anything here either, so...what does he have to lose?

This of course gives the witch a start. She jumps, pulls her broom away, looks around and is like, woah! Then she sees Vyle and is like woah again.

"Err. You're not security right? Um Do I nkow you?" is all the witch can say, stepping away from the crate. Usually she takes things from people, breaking in was never her strong point as so much conning was, speaking of conning.

"Must be my first time!" she says with a winning smile and scratching the back of her head,
"Nope. Must be my first time, perhaps you could show me a thing or two." She says confidentlly.

Vyle snorts. Wow. She's really bad at the snap judgments and covering her ass. She's...pretty blatant. "Hrm....not security, but still someone with vested interest in...protecting the cargo here." What he doesn't say is that he's only interested in protecting it so he can steal some of it later. Either way, he walks forward a little, scratching his chin. "But...I'm willing to look the other way on this under one condition...."

"Yes? I'm totally all ears," the witch says and continues to give her winning smile, taking a bit of a step farther away from the bonus stage. She got 800 points by the by, try and beat that score. Of course this place is not terribly over crowded, not many people here to hear them. She leans on her broom and adjusts her shades,
"So you're like an investor?" The witch offers.

Yes, uncrowded and shadowed to boot. Perfect setting for back alley dealing, so to speak. And Vyle's no stranger to those kinds of deals either. "You could...say that." NOting Naerose apparently not remembering him, he chuckles, hands in his pockets as he approaches her. "But like I said...I'm willing to look the other way under one condition: I get a cut of whatever you manage to take. That way...I won't inform the authorities on you and have you thrown overboard. Especially since I know a lot of people here did a whole lot to get on this ship..."

"Umm.." The witch says, scratching her cheek, considering. You can see the wheels grinding. Loan, a loan which sort of loses it's whole threat after she's off the ship anyway. Temporary tournament, loan she can 'not be able to pay'. She had this act down.

"Deal." The witch says.

She turns to the crate and starts hitting it again. This of course is further to no avail.

"Er. Wanna gimme a hand?" The witch asks, looking at Vyle.

Hrm...she still can't get into the crate, can she. Unfortunate, Vyle's plan was casing the hold tonight, not actually breaking in tonight. As thus, he doesn't have anything he could open the crate with that would ensure the contents remained intact. Sure, he could smash it open, but the inside would likely suffer too if he just plain kicked it open or broke it open across his knee like an egg. "Hrm...problem with that, no equipment for it. How about this. Tomorrow, I bring a real crowbar, as well as something to reseal the crates with, and you can go to town on them."

"Hey.." Naerose says, seeing with lights in her eyes the oppertunity to have someone do the heavy lifting with her. She rocks a little and smiles brightly.

"That's a great idea, okay so we'll meet together er.. yeah then and you'll get your cut and I'll get off scott free."

The witch wears a smile of victory. Yep, this was going to be the easiest quick cash she's ever made. Of course the witch is probably imagining the crates full of cash, literally, as she goes to start to leave.

"It's a plan, then," Vyle says, smirking and turning about, regarding the witch with a parting wave of his hand as he slips deeper into the hold. Oh yeah....this is going to be good. So good. Ninjas, witches, punk princesses, it doesn't matter. Just getting through this with ill-gotten goods AND whatever the Ninja might give him for a win is going to be sweet. So sweet....

But. . the witch doesn't really leave. She makes to leave, waits till she gets out of sight and then. . . moves behind the nearest crate and hides there. In the shadows and she waits. It's pretty hard to hide red, so the only wy to truly do it is to actually make yourself totally behind something else, in this case, a bunch of crates. She can't watch Vyle in this case, so she won't know where he is. Mostly she just waits for his foot steps to go, or to hear any footsteps at all, inwardly probably hoping he doesn't come her way.

Vyle's footsteps quickly fall away, as he moves all the way to the other end of the hold, until they cease. Looks like there won't be any further incident between the two tonight. Most likely just private planning on how to screw the other over. No honor amongst thieves, isn't it how that goes?

Very much so. When the footsteps die down the witch leaves, where does she go? Her room . . It takes about seven minutes but she's right back, only this time there is something different. . This time she has a crowbar. She looks aroudn carefully, trying to sneak (with heeled boots, not likely) and tries to make sure Vyle isn't there. If he isn't she'll go to work opening crates, emptying a sample of them into a sack, then closing them up again. It isn't quiet work, but given a little while she would be full up and ready to leave with a sample of the various cargo to look at later. Of course if Vyle returns

But he doesn't . . And Naerose leaves happily.
