Description: Luc Schroedinger proves that the Germans really can't storm through the French's impressive anti-tank rails in a seemingly one-sided fight against the capoirista Aranha. Will Luc make a dramatic comeback and win out in the end?! No, probably not. But there's some come back-ing. It's pretty keen. SEE IT HERE. (Winner: Aranha)
The fight that was to take place along the Maginot Line had no crowd. The out of the way location made it too much of a hardship for spectators to get through. It's not as though the viewers would need to fight a war to get there. Another major factor besides the anti-tank rails that the two combatants would be fighting in the midst of, they would also be fairly close by to the dense rows of barbed wire that made up the French's anti-personnel obstacle system also discouraging a live audience. To make up for this, the SNF staff set up various cameras at various angles.
Eventually, Aranha arrives at the location at the scheduled time, without the red witch(a fact that makes him extremely happy.) He looks around the dense forest as he waits for his opponent to make his appearance. While he does so, he pulls out his Oakley thumps, his sunglasses that also double as his mp3 player after all, a capoeirista does need his music.
Unlike his opponent, Luc Schroedinger arrives to the French Maginot Line around three minutes later than scheduled.
It's a move not done for style, or to look cool; Luc had simply been late because he didn't bother trying to figure out and/or listen to the directions to get to the location he was to fight at. The fact that he's only three minutes late due to this is something of a tribute to his innate sense of direction... or, more likely, simple luck that he had managed to wander in the right direction. Thus, despite his lack of knowledge on where this stupid 'Maginot Line' was, he is able to put two-and-two together as he wanders onto the scene. The cameras, the short man who looks very much like a fighter, and the crew that are scattered throughout the area. This is where he needs to be.
How lucky for him.
"Hn," is snorted out from Luc as he gazes upon Aranha with dull eyes. Lifting a hand, the young German scratches at his right ear with an expression of bored disinterest, advancing on the anti-tank rails that Aranha seems to be positioned nearby. "So you're... 'Aranha,' huh?" He eyes the Oakley Thumps, and frowns all the deeper. "What kind of stupid crap is that? ... Whatever. Let's just get this fight started, okay?" Luc doesn't like this location. Not because of the history.
He just thinks those rail things look ridiculously stupid.
With a swift motion the sunglasses are on his face and with a touch of a button, the music begins to flow through them to the earbuds attached to the sunglasses. He flashes the teenager a toothy grin and then says, "My music."
His body begins to sway to the beat that only he hears his legs alternate, one leg at the rear, then side by side, then the other before going back in reverse as he performed the ginga the dynamic 'stance' of his martial art. Then he suddenly drops to the ground into a handstand before rapidly spinning at Luc attempting to smack Luc in his face. "Let's see what you've got, son."

A good way to start out any match up, Luc just stares almost -blankly- at Aranha and his explanation, rubbing the back of his head. He says nothing, to begin with, instead focusing more pointedly on the other man's rather goofy-looking sunglasses--
--which sets him up poorly for what happens next. Only a moment after Aranha speaks, the German finds himself being assault by a single, swift kick before he can leap out of the way. The blow is relatively light, only sending Luc staggering back a step before he regains his bearings. "... Man, what the hell? Don't..." And only a moment afterwards, Luc swings himself forward fully, his eyes full of life. Aranha in a handstand as he is, the yougn German seeks to take advantage of this... by driving his booted foot straight into Aranha's exposed gut, his leg sheathed in black-blue, burning chi. "... DON'T COME AT ME WITH THAT WEAK CRAP!"

Aranha quickly twists himself out of the handstand knowing that the kick is coming and shifts himself to the enough to the side that kick actually pushes him into an even faster spin. Using the moment from the spin he touches the ground with both hands and looks under his legs to whip his leg around in an attempt to slam his heel into Luc's face. "You know, you need to relax. This is a party... Have some fun!"
COMBATSYS: Aranha successfully hits Luc with Strong Kick.

Have fun? Have -FUN-? Luc has a hard time having 'fun' when he is kicked so lightly by someone. His only fun he can get from this event, after all, is the prospect of an interesting fight... and if he's not getting -that-, then what good is it to him? This is rectified rather quickly, though, as Aranha comes forward with another kick to his face, which all seems rather simple and straightforward. Luc, somehow, underestimates the speed and strength of the attack though, and instead of bearing through it like he intended... the blow knocks him straight off his feet and into the air, a strail of blood following in his wake as he flips through the sky. And as he soars... he grins.
"-THAT'S MORE LIKE IT.-"
The fact that Luc recovers so quickly after the blow is something of a testament to his strong will. Only a moment after he lands, he is sprinting across the distance between himself and Aranha. As he approaches, he snaps his fingers as he rushes alongside the smaller man, producing a spark of power. That spark soon -bursts- into a broiling sphere of black-blue chi that flies forward... intent on crashing into Aranha's face at point-blank range for explosive results.
COMBATSYS: Aranha dodges Luc's Explosive Round.

"Ahh I see!" There are two sides at work within Aranha's mind as he deals with Luc. The part that wants to make sure his opponent is having fun and the other part, the more analytical side of him both tell him give the guy what he wants which is, hit him harder. Of course that analytical side of him is also telling him to get the hell out of the way of the burst and so he drops backwards into a back bridge as the sphere of chi passes harmlessly over his body.
He then launches himself backwards flipping back and then performing a 180 twist to position himself to dash towards a tree which rapidly climbs up and then leaps up to one of the branches and muscles himself up on top of the branch.
The traceur capoeirista leaps from branch to branch until he's right above Luc and then he drops down feet first and regardless of whether he hits or not, he'll attempt to drop into a roll.
COMBATSYS: Aranha successfully hits Luc with Sky's the Limit.

Luc 0/-------/-======|====---\-------\0 Aranha
Whatever the reason, Luc seems to be completely off his game and completely misunderestimating the speeds and strengths of attacks that are coming at him in ways he should normally be able to predict easily. Such a thing comes into play here, where he finds himself suddenly hit by the capoeirista's downward motion, despite the fact that he can plainly see it coming and lifts his hands in order to block. God hates him today, and it shows in how he is suddenly, solidly floored, slamming into the ground with a disgruntled snort.
"... che." Slowly, Luc climbs back up to his feet. Slowly, he looks towards Aranha... and lifts up his right hand. Chi flares around it, crawling up the length of his arm as he simply rushes -forward- towards the other man. He doesn't bother with words anymore -- they're past -that- point by now by far. Instead, he simply rushes inward, and as he gets close enough, he seeks to slam his fist STRAIGHT across the side of Aranha's face in an explosive hook punch, accompanied by a single yell of "GRAAAAAAAAGH!!"
COMBATSYS: Aranha interrupts Medium Punch from Luc with Sky's the Limit EX.

Luc 1/------=/=======|====---\-------\0 Aranha
Aranha leaps to the side as Luc throws the attack at his face. Even if a significant amount was taken off of it, still manages to launch him towards the tree. Taking advantage of this, he kicks off one tree to another back and forth until he manages to grab a branch.
Instead of muscling himself up the branch, this time he swings himself back and forth until he swings himself at Luc's chest feet first and then kicking himself off of the tall Pacific student before going back into his ginga.
A part of him quietly empathizes with his opponent since he can think of times in recent memory where nothing seemed to go right for him. Good examples of which being his first two Neo Leagues and his first SNF.
Luc is hit by the same attack for the second time in a row. Essentially. He doesn't really bother attempting to defend -- not that he has -time- this time around, seeing as how Aranha is powering through his own attack. Instead, he just looks -bored- as he's struck again rather than in pain, as if the blows just aren't doing it for him. The sensation of pain is something he's dealt with for a long while now; he's more concerned with an uninspiring match than having to deal with that.
So, struck as he is, Luc goes tumbling once more, though not as far as the last time. This time though, when he comes to a stop, he doesn't attempt to attack again. Instead? He wipes blood from his lips, and stares pointedly at Aranha, considering the other man. "... hn. This is getting boring again," he announces once more, taking a moment to catch his breath. He's not attacking this time around; instead, he'll wait and watch.
COMBATSYS: Luc gains composure.

"Boring, eh?" He stops his dance for a moment and touches his chin. "We don't want that, now do we?" He begins to smile again as he goes back into ginga, his foot steps are faster as he begins moving to a more primal beat. Swaying to and fro as he steps closer and closer to the other teenager.
"You know, I think I might have something for that!" With one final step, he brings his front around in an outside crescent kick before jumping up and whipping his heel across Luc's face as he comes down hoping to use gravity to enhance the effect of his attack.
COMBATSYS: Luc fails to interrupt Colossal Kick from Aranha with Aufstand Welle.

Luc 1/------=/=======|======-\-------\0 Aranha
Well, this is going fantastically. There really aren't anything for Luc to do at this point. The attack moves so slowly he thinks he sees it coming, but the German is clearly suffering from some sort of temporary mental disorder and, instead of getting in a clean hit through the attack as he would have thought he could, the series of attacks hit cleanly, striking his shoulder and chest -- not his face, though, as he had already been rushing -forward- to greet Aranha -- and sending him sprawling back.
Still, the entire effect is like becoming a punching bag. None of the blows have hurt overly much, but since he hasn't gotten a single clean hit in, the young man finds himself thoroughly battered. He can't attack just yet, disrupted as he was in the midst of -whatever- he was trying to do. "Guh..." A sitting duck, he most certainly is.
"You know, I don't think you've shown all you have to offer in this fight." The ginga stops at a dead halt. He doesn't move one inch except to beckon in his opponent. "How about this? One chance to completely knock my block off. You've just got one chance at a freebie. Make it count." He watches and waits holding out his arms. A smile on his face as he calls Luc in.
Capoeiristas are known for doing things like this as a setup for a trap. What Luc has to figure out is whether this is a trap or if the spider genuinely wants to see what his opponent can really do. Is the fly going to come into the spider's parlor?
COMBATSYS: Aranha takes no action.

Luc 1/------=/=======|======-\-------\0 Aranha
Tricks? Luc doesn't respond to tricks. He's a person who fights on instinct, and he does not acknolwedge things like 'trickery' until after it's happened. It might make him simple, but after he's fought a person once -- they typically do not fare nearly as well against him with tricks and ploys. This entire fight, however, has thrown Luc for the loop. So instead of questioning it or wondering what the hell Aranha is doing, or pondering all the consequences or whether the other young man is trying to be so very clever--
--He just does whatever he wants.
And what he wants, here, is to hit Aranha as hard as possible. A slightly more difficult task to perform, but Luc doesn't really care about the other man's plans. Instead... he just lifts up his right hand, crackling with black electricity-like chi. That energy forms into a small lance in the young man's hands, before he says a simple statement:
"Fine... I'll -SHOW YOU-."
In a single, smooth motion, Luc THRUSTS his hand forward, throwing that spear into the ground. It seems to be literally -absorbed- by it, sucked in before, a moment later, underneath Aranha's feet... an entire SURGE of crackling power ruptures forward, a gout of black-blue energy seeking to overwhelm and consume Aranha in its wake before rupturing in a single, potent explosion.
COMBATSYS: Luc successfully hits Aranha with Uberlastung Lanze.

Luc 0/-------/------=|=======\======-\1 Aranha
Aranha asked for it... He quite literally asked for it. But little did he know that he'd get hit by something like /that./ The spear hits the ground and he raises an eyebrow confused by what purpose that would serve. Then under his feet he can feel the ground moving the only warning he has concerning what's about to transpire.
His eyes widen as he mouths the words "Oh sh..." He doesn't have the time to finish the swear word before his senses are torn asunder by the serge of chi which in turn launches the capoeirista into the air throwing him up into the air and leaving Aranha hanging limply from the tree branch.
After a moments, he stands up on the branch and lets his body glow blue as he leaps down foot first followed by a trail of blue shadows as if he was going to launch into Joker's Wild which is a chi enhanced version of Sky's the Limit done over and over and over again but somewhere in mid air he changes his mind and lands past Luc.
Aranha performs an outside crescent kick from his front leg which then drops to his rear leg. He shifts back and swings his leg around in a rear leg outside crescent kick which is quickly followed up by a trio of kicks where he touches the ground as he swings the heel of his rear leg towards his opponent's head. On the third of those particular kicks he cuts short and turns his foot as he drops it down on the ground before swinging his other foot at the head in a roundhouse kick-like motion though it's also done with both hands on the ground. He then shifts his weight over to the side swinging the unplanted foot up and over which though it doesn't hit, it generates momentum for the other foot to come back across and slam into his opponent's side. He performs a handstand and performs a series of rapid spinning handstand kicks. All kicks in this sequence are engulfed in blue chi.
COMBATSYS: Aranha successfully hits Luc with Royal Flush.

And there it is. In one attack, Luc proves just why he shouldn't be taken too lightly. It's satisfying enough for the German that he finds himself getting back into a more comfortable groove -- though far, far too late this time around. Intent on standing completely still, the German boy doesn't even attempt to muster up a defense to what comes next. Instead, he is assailed over and over again by a series of chi-infused kicks. It is, in a word, painful; and it's certainly -not- something that he could prepare for this time around.
Yet, having been successfully beaten and battered by all of Aranha's attacks, the boy looks... relatively content. Pleased, as if just barely pushed over the limits of his ability to fight. But, as the last kick hits, and sends him flying with that flare of sapphire chi, the German reorients himself in midair, blood oozing down the corner of his right lip, and body looking rather battered and beaten. He lands, feet-first, against the side of a tree, and pushing off it...
... he flies -right- for Aranha.
Black-blue chi flares up in a spiral around Luc's foot as he flings himself forward and at Aranha as hard and as fast as he possibly can. The movement in itself is simple: Luc seeks to deliver a simple, powerful jumping kick straight into Aranha's chest, at which point all that chi wrapped around his leg will simply surge -forward- and straight into the capoirista in a small tidal wave of power, exploding with potent fury to knock him straight backwards... and leave Luc to land in a bloodied heap shortly after. Most definitely out of the fight.
COMBATSYS: Luc can no longer fight.

Aranha tries to lean back trying evade chi enhanced kick and in failing to dip low enough to dodge the blow he ends up getting caught in the undertow of the chi tidal wave which sends the spider flying away, his head slamming into one of the anti-tank rails. His world begins spinning until he realizes that he's still fighting.
He slowly rises to his feet swaying still somewhat punch drunk from this fight. He tries to shake out the cobweb but he fails miserably until he looks down at the fallen German. "You know, I'm not entirely certain the best fighter won... I took stupid chances and got away with it." After that he pockets his sunglasses and walks away. Who knows? The two might end up fighting again.
