Alright, folks, it's that time again! In what should be a familiar sequence to EVERYBODY ON THE GAME, the Saturday Night Fight Review title sequence plays across the screen in all it's glory. At the end of the sequence, there's a clever little fade-out/fade-in to an image of Dr. Tran fighting Kenji Ashima, and the following dialogue takes place.

KENJI: Are you MISTER Tran? I couldn't recognize you without your face beaten to a pulp and 'Geese Was Here' written on your ass.

(TRAN looks disdainful): "Like... your... mother is a lonely dog!"

(EPIC FAILURE) streaks across the screen, followed by a classy-looking four-screen overlay of Kenji screaming. The videos all last ten seconds apiece, dominate the four corners of the screen, and only emphasize how ridiculous Kenji acted the entire fight. This, with SNF music playing triumphantly in the background, leads into one full-screen image of Dr. Tran slapping Kenji, during Kenji's Rail Gun super-move, with his belt. Kenji goes flying off to the side.

Cue the fade-in to the SNF Review central.

Turk Gridiron flashes a winning smile as he comes on-air. "Hello, viewers, and welcome to the Saturday Night Fight Review! I'm Turk Gridiron, here to give you the low-down on all of this week's SNF-related happenings!"

"And I'm Macy Roundhouse, here to provide color commentary as always." Macy, clad in a snappy red suit, flashes a prettier (but just as winning) smile to the camera before turning to the side, whereupon a small screen appears over her shoulder. Images of the fight between Tran and Kenji cycle through a rotation, though the shots end on a close-up of Tran, with "TERRIBLE INSULT" branded across his face in large red letters.

"And that's Dr. Tran for you." Macy laughs, and turns to Turk. "I swear, Turk, sometimes that guy really steams up his opponents with his insults! And, sometimes..." She bites her lip. "Sometimes he really just sucks at it. This week's Epic Failure, for you."

"Ha ha, that's right, Macy!" Turk turns to face his co-host, although it's evident his smile's become somewhat forced at this point. "And may I just say, you're doing an excellent job of taking after his lead!" Turk quickly scoots to one side in his seat, bringing him out of reach of Macy's wrath.

Continuing quickly before Macy can get too indignant, Turk notes, "Moving on, we've got local favorite Hotaru Futaba, defending against local thug, Eiji 'Edge' Yamada, at the Kyokugen Dojo!" The screen cuts to a picture of the Kyokugen Dojo's front, the sign reading 'KYOGUKEN KARATE' in big bold letters, with 'Learning Through Pain' in tiny letters barely legible underneath.

Turk's comment earns him a murderous glare from Macy, something that the special-effects technician (recently promoted to replace the one fired last week) quickly shifts attention from by cutting out to the picture of the Kyokugen Dojo far more quickly than needs be. The sign overlay is replaced by images from the Hotaru/Edge fight, including:

-- Edge spraying Hotaru in the face, while laughing.
-- Hotaru looking cross with Edge, purple paint staining her cheeks.
-- Edge tearing a knife through his spraypaint, and tossing both the knife and paint at Hotaru.
-- BLUE CHI IS EVERYWHERE
-- The paint flies the /opposite/ direction, and Edge is sent flying away from Hotaru, purple paint covering his everything.
-- Avid listeners might be able to hear the sounds of a chair being scooted to the side, a slight person getting out of their seat, and a fist being swung while the images are being displayed.

When the screen returns to the newsroom, Macy is back in her seat, smiling, hands folded before her. Boy, can she smile! "Hotaru Futaba unfortunately went on to lose the fight, after an incredible performance by 'Edge'. Looks like the Sakazakis will have to deal with their gym being crashed once again! Poor Hotaru. I can hear pushups being demanded already."

"Don't you worry, I'm sure she's got enough pluck to take as many push-ups as Takuma throws at her. She's an adorable little trooper!" Turk is back in his original spot, still smiling, but sporting a puffy black eye that's already swelling shut.

"In other news, we've got startling footage of this young fellow, here!" The screen cuts out to show Shoma, dressed in a black and silver baseball uniform, shouting at Hayato while Aranha gets the crap beaten out of him by Shinobu in the background. "Local high school baseball star, Shoma Sawamura, was acting strangely in his fight, isn't that right, Macy?"

The screen fades in on Macy.

"I can't really tell what's going on, Turk," Macy's tone is grave, while she eyes Turk with a look that's somewhere between... well, apology and justification. She clears her throat, looks back into the camera, and the image from before miniaturizes to a smaller screen over her shoulder. "Shoma's a bit of a newcomer to the Saturday Night Fight lineup, and we're not really sure how he NORMALLY acts. It could just be that he's prone to mood-swings, perhaps?"

Macy shrugs, and looks back to Turk. "Well, I take that back. We've had a few close friends say that he's not at all a bad guy to be around, while one anonymous Taiyo High volleyball player stated "He's really cute when he gets all flustered!"." Macy looks to Turk, and lifts a hand into the air so as to properly show her own dismissal of the testimony. "Like I said, who could know? What's important here is the way that Hayato fellow -totally- shut Shoma down, repeatedly. They've got one hell of a gym-teacher there!"

"Right you are, Macy! Hayato sure does get excited!" Without missing a beat, TURK GRIDIRON: STATING THE OBVIOUS flashes across the screen in big, bold letters. He just keeps smiling, then continues, "Regardless of his normal behavior, after getting his face beat in by his teacher and his supposed teammate, Shoma was brought to the nurse's office. We all wish him a speedy recovery, and hope to see him again this week!"

"And, finally, coming to our last story, we've go-wait, mood-swings!" Turk's face lights up, and TURK JUST GOT IT appears in huge flaming letters on the screen. He pauses, then turns to Macy, straight-faced. "That was terrible, Macy."

Macy blithely ignores Turk. Perhaps the well-practiced smile she's beaming at the camera seems to stiffen a little bit -- her laughter's certainly forced, at this point.

"Ha ha ha, Turk! That may well be the case, but we've got more important things to move on to. The producer's been making a face at me all night, and now that he's holding up some cards I can see we forgot to mention the implication of the results of this week's second main event!"

Macy turns to face another camera, with Turk behind her left shoulder, a screen of Kenji and Tran behind the other. Kenji is unconscious, while Tran is still putting his belt back on. "Now that Kenji has lost to another one of Saturday Night Fight's junior division fighters, his title becomes available to the next combatant to beat him. SNF officials will be looking at Junior Division win records to determine which fighter gets the honor of battling the current champ for his title!"

"Right you are, Macy!" The camera cuts back to the frontal view, so that Turk doesn't have to try to stand out from behind Macy. "We're all looking forward to seeing who he'll fight, and what the outcome will be! Will Kenji fail miserably, or ride a screaming rocket to fame like Macy did? She's so familiar with the producer for a reason, folks! Ha ha ha!" Evidently, someone's still a little sore over the black eye.

"Ha ha ha, Turk!" Macy's laugh, at this point, is like brittle brittle porcelain. While it's clear that she's nowhere near the breaking point - she and Turk have been partners for far too long to let something like this bother her. No sir, she simply presses on with the report. Besides, she's already punched Turk once - at this point, it's bordering on abuse! Ha ha ha!

It is at this point that Macy continues speaking, BUT DISASTER STRIKES IN THE FORM OF CRAZINESS.

Namely, the sound cuts out. Seconds later, the image is replaced with one of Marco Rodriguez and Ryo Sakazaki battling Rugal Bernstein in a fancy room in an undisclosed building. The feed is of relatively poor quality, but it's easy to see what's going on -- Firstly, Alan R.B. is laying unconscious somewhere in the background, with Rodem hovering around suspiciously close to the boxer. The video goes on for quite some time, and features include:

-- Ryo's legendary Ryuuko Ranbu being stopped COLD by Rugal
-- Rugal hover-dashing across the floor to slam into Ryo's collarbone, hand-first, and subsequently press him into a wall, wherein Ryo simply stumbles around for a moment, launches a counter attack (it is tossed aside by Rugal) and falls over, unconscious.
-- Rugal stuffs Marco's attempt at an attack with yet another block -> gut punch attack
-- Rugal clotheslines Marco, catches him in an incredibly tight hold, and throws him to the ground. Marco gets to his feet, summons up the energy for one Haoh Sho Ko Ken -- and it meets Rugal's own chi, ripping back through the Kyokugen master. Marco rushes forward with one final uppercut, only to be sent to the ground, courtesy of Rugal's effortless toss aside. He lands besides Ryo, both men unconscious.

When it's all said and done, the screen flickers back to Rugal, gesturing towards the camera in a definitively... inviting way. The screen fades out to a red flag flapping in some unseen wind, with a white circle in its middle, and one stark black 'R' dominating said circle. Words appear on the screen...

"CHALLENGERS" -- this is followed by a voice-mail number, while beneath it is the word "PROSPECTIVES" -- this is followed by another voice mail number. The screen cuts out after this, and is followed by Macy and Turk speaking to one another in well-rehearsed small-talk, while credits are halfway through rolling. From the looks of things, nobody at Howard Enterprises is aware that the feed was cut.

--------OOC: @mail Rugal for followup on this video, he is accepting challengers and recruits into the illustrious 'R' Organization! Play with Rodem, hang out with Mature and Vice! Tease Alan R.B. for having way too much attitude! @MAIL THAT MAN FOR INFO------
