Description: Hayato wages righteous battle against Shoma to try and save the boy's soul while a standing in Shinobu receives word of her sensei. An utterly unsurprising swerve is thrown once Aranha is out of the match and other matters are discussed. (Draw Match)
Out on Taiyo's playground, Hayato stands tall as he waits for the start of his fight. The gym teacher currently has a few more bandages than just the athletic tape he normally wraps around his forearms, although only a few of them are visible while he's wearing his red track suit jacket. The bandage stuck to his right cheek is pretty easy to notice, though. Despite a few scratches, though, he's still in fine shape for a battle today.
And what better opponents than two young students? The only way it could be better would be if his teammate was also a student, but no matter. Hayato isn't going to let a little thing like that dampen his enthusiasm for this evening! The Burning Phys-Ed Teacher calmly taps his shinai against his right shoulder as he watches the camera crew finish setting things up, occasionally calling out suggestions as to better angles. He knows just about every inch of the Taiyo campus like the back of his hand. Just because he doesn't have any experience as a cameraman doesn't keep him from offering advice based on what he /does/ know!
A young man enters the playground. Five foot three, black hair slicked back under a ball cap worn normally, brown eyes that look oddly cold. A black with silver trim baseball uniform that could, at a glance, pass for a military uniform, complete with combat boots.
The only tip that this MIGHT be Shoma Sawamura is the baseball bat that is as tall as he is strapped to his back, and even /that/ looks wrong, black metal and silver grip tape.
He looks at Hayato and bows slightly. "Nekketsu-sensei."
Perhaps Keith Mason wasn't a student currently. There was a possibility that he could return to school if he so desired. Perhaps he'd go for a GED instead? He had a few options open to him. But now he has to focus on this fight. It was a task made significantly easier by the fact he didn't have that damn red witch following him around.
Aranha strides calmly onto the playground waving towards the fans of fighting. He bows respectfully his team mate Hayato and pulls out a pair of Oakley Thumps. Sliding the sunglasses on he grins and inserts the attached ear buds in and hits the play button to feed him his Capoeira music.
Shinobu's in rough shape after her earlier SNF, but it's hard to notice underneath the miko outfit and the wide smile. A half-dozen banana smoothies and she's good as new! At least, that's what she's telling her body, despite its vigorous protests. At least SNF made sure she got enough painkillers. Maybe it's irresponsible to put such a young girl through two tough fights in one day, but well, it is run by Howard.
After some quick stretches, she springs to her feet, and walks towards the other three fighters. She looks to Shoma and grins. "Hey, um... that's a cool uniform! Do you work for some evil team or something? Like in that movie?", she asks, and then looks to Hayato and Aranha, waving. "Ready?"
The smile that was on Hayato's face fades as he looks Shoma over. He knows the students at Taiyo very well, particularly the athletic ones. He's almost got a sixth sense when it comes to them, and his ability to read their faces and body language is extremely good. There's something wrong with Shoma. Just like there's been something wrong with a number of students lately. The teacher's jaw tightens and the athletic tape around his hands creaks as his hands ball into fists.
"Sawamura. They got to you, too?" Hayato's not very good at disguising his feelings, and he generally doesn't even try. Anybody watching is going to be able to tell that he's pretty pissed off about something, and it probably relates to Shoma. He nods absently to Aranha, but doesn't do much else to acknowledge his presence. Likewise for Shinobu.
Shoma simply folds his arms across his chest, regarding the Hot-Blooded PE Teacher cooly. He ignores Shinobu and Aranha; his beef is with Hayato.
"They did not 'get me too', sensei. I'm doing what a good friend does. What noone else in this hole has been willing to do since Kasugano-san announced her intentions." There is an indifferent look, "The rest of you were so quick to come down on her. Nobody wanted to /listen/ to what she was saying. /You/ just assumed she was wrong."
The bat is pulled off as Shoma gives a grin that might even ice the blood in Hayato's veins, "Since words will not get through to you, I shall teach this lesson to your body." The bat is pointed at the teacher, "Maybe then you will understand."

"It looks like the energy isn't right." He glances over to Hayato and then to Shoma and then shakes his head. "Maybe I'm speaking out of turn but may I ask that whatever is going on between you two be resolved after the fight? Let us not forget our purpose for being here."
He begins swaying as he going into his ginga, "We're here to put on a show!!" With that the spider drops down low as he moves closer to Shoma and then suddenly springs up as he swings a glowing blue roundhouse, followed by a glowing blue spinning jump kick and then finishing out the attack with a glowing blue back flip kick.
"Um...", Shinobu says with a nervous look between Shoma and Hayato. "... I'm in this fight too, y'know... well, whatever!" With that, she steps away from Shoma. It's a marked dicotomy - the miko outfit and the Shadaloo outfit - but Shinobu doesn't seem aware of the full implications yet.
Rushing at Hayato, she ducks low before hopping up with a swift, short kick at the teacher. "Haaaaa!", she calls out, kiaing as she shows off, and then as her kick reaches full extension-
"Wait, Kasugano?!"

It would seem the conversation has been interrupted. Shoma inhales, and then exhales sharply as he brings that (now glowing) bat around, bringing it around vertically to block the roundhouse. He smirks as he brings it horizontal to stop the jump kick, and then levels a brutal swing around to stop the flip kick cold.
Odd side effects include some of that energy Aranha generates being turned back on him.
Hayato twists his body slightly as Shinobu comes charging in, deflecting her kick with his hip before she can get out the full power of the swing. He turns to look at the girl, giving her a regretful look. "I'm sorry, but I'm really not in the mood to put on a show right now." His expression then hardens as he turns back to look at Shoma.
"I heard more than enough of that from Kurow, and I'm not about to put up with it from you. I'm putting a stop to this /right now/." There may be issues with the SNF crew if he tries to deal with Shoma after the fight... But he'll get to that when the time comes. For now, he's got to try to knock some sense into the kid. Hayato lunges toward the baseball player, shinai swinging up briefly before it comes slamming down viciously toward his shoulder.

Shoma frowns at Hayato, "You will never change, Sensei," he comments as he tries to parry a fourth blow with the bat and fails. He bows a slight bit under the force of the strike, but for some reason...
...he is /smiling/. /Creepy/.
He pulls himself upright and gives a short laugh, "That would be your response to everything you do not like, wouldn't it. Just lash out in anger at it, Sensei?"

The final swing not only stopped the spider's flip kick cold, the energy feed back sends the Capoeirista flying in a crazy spin as he tries regain control of his balance.
That control never comes. Instead, he finds himself flat on his back groaning in a mix of disbelief and pain. He spins back up onto his feet and looks at Shinobu and shrugs. He's abandoned all hope of things calming down quickly. instead he decides on a new target in the form of Shinobu. With a a sudden run and leap he swings himself up on to the chin up bars and then leaps down feet first down upon her.
"Damnit! Try harder!" Comes a cry from the audience, along with the other cries of people watching. The person sitting next to the Red Witch regretted sitting next to the Red Witch because she seemed insistent on using them as the example for what her party member should be doing. She grabs the nearby student, and starts shaking them,
"Seriously, my tip to you is don't get hit!" Naerose shouts her face red.

"But, wait- what were you saying about Sakura?", Shinobu says to Shoma. But there's no time waiting for an answer - she's got a gym teacher to pound on. "Show?" She frowns. "If you're not gonna take me seriously, I'll win, you know...!"
But then, she's blindsided by Aranha. Time to eat her own words as she 'catches' the fighter with her arms, throwing him back off. "Whatever, I can fight you first...", she says, and grins. "Try this out!" With that, she hops to the bars and jumps off them, going even higher as she gathers a bubble of flowing chi into her hands. And then, she flings down at Aranha from above, trying to nail him with the explosive geyser her seemingly soft and pilable bubble 'pops' into.
Hayato frowns at Shoma, though he doesn't completely lose his temper. He's already quite pissed off, but he knows that it's not really Shoma's fault. That doesn't mean he's not going to have to beat him down, though. "If I thought talking would do any good, I'd try it. Kasugano already showed that it's going to take more than words to cure you, though."
As for Shinobu... Hayato doesn't have any objection to fighting with her, but dealing with Shoma is a much higher priority than the SNF match itself at the moment. "I'm doing this for your own good, Shoma. Hopefully you'll be able to forgive me once you're cured." He reaches out with his left hand, attempting to grab Shoma by the collar and yank him up off the ground. If he succeeds at that he swings out with his right hand, attempting to plow a punch into Shoma's face with the hand holding the shinai, sending him flying back.

Shoma is jerked off of his feet, and then smashed across the playground, rolling and bouncing before skidding to a halt on his stomach. He picks himself up, and calmly dusts himself off. He looks up at Hayato with a smirk, "For my own good, Sensei?" The smirk changes to a roar, "WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT WHAT IS GOOD FOR ME?" The student starts to charge the teacher before he suddenly plants his feet, and slams the bat towards Hayato's midsection, "I am SICK AND TIRED of people telling me how I should act!"

"Dammit... She still found me." He turns to the shouting witch giving a dark glare. It was a bad time for Aranha to this because the moment he turned away is when that bubble hits hime sending the capoeirista spinning away in a manner similar to how Shoma sent him away his return swing.
He gets back up to his feet and goes into a handstand spinning rapidly with his legs extended outward to catch Shinobu with his feet.

Shinobu barely lands before she's got spinning Aranha on her hands. She ducks under his attack, but a single kick still manages to whack her in the head. Thankfully, her skull is pretty hard...
Rising unsteadily as she moves past Aranha, she runs towards one of the vaulting stools, and hops over it before kicking the top one off towards the capoeirista. Then, with two more kicks, she knocks off the other two stools, sending them stumbling towards Aranha.
Then, she stops, slips out of fighting stance and... cheerily waves to Naerose. "Hiiii!", she calls out, seemingly open!

Messing with Shoma's bat is generally not a good idea. Hayato quickly leaps back as the oversized piece of sporting equipment is swung at him. His jacket is ruffled by the wave of air from the passage, but the bat doesn't actually connect. Hayato then shakes his head firmly, still frowning in Shoma's direction. "It's one thing to make bad decisions. Everybody makes mistakes, and you can learn from them. But you aren't making a mistake... Someone else is making it for you. And /that/ is what I can't stand!"
Hayato's voice rises to a shout as he finishes speaking and then rushes in toward Shoma. He reaches out in an attempt to grab Shoma by the arm with his left hand, then yank roughly forward and down to send the youth sprawling. "I may not have been able to stop Sakura, but I'll be damned if I'm going to let your life be ruined!"

Shoma is jerked forward, a timely slamming of the foot stopping him from face planting completely. He looks up at Hayato for a moment, holding up a hand, "Excuse me for a moment, Sensei. There is a matter I should attend to first."
Shoma dashes towards Aranha, pulling the bat up once more. The bat flares with red-white light as he brings the signature weapon around in a blinding arc. Aranha does not want to get hit by this...
"Oh Snap! Shinobu!" The witch says, currently strangling one of the other people in the audience, "Ah, sorry," she says and then shouts to the fight, letting go said person.
"Hey Shinobu, looking great out there, " she says in a friendly sweetness and then to Aranha she continues, "Try to get away from Shinobu kid! She once defeated Geese Howard!" It was a lie, but maybe she could get her charge to a slightly less wicked opponent.

The Capoeirista ought to be able to get out of the way of the vaulting stools but he just can't for some odd unexplainable reason dodge them. He's completely and utterly bombarded by the stools before he is knocked right into the heavy bat of Shoma and is sent flying away.
He wanted to come into this fight, and have a little fun with it but the ruined energy or vibe or axe, or whatever you want to call it, that set the entire fight in motion he found himself incapable of having fun with it and so he snaps... He begins running as he's completely engulfed in blue chi and trailed by blue shadows leaping off the first vaulting block Shinobu kicked at him to launch himself feet first at Shinobu and kicking himself off of her to launch him over to Shoma and then kicking off the support for the chin up bar to launch himself up to the top of the tether ball set and then jumps off to land on Shoma and then kicks off bouncing rapidly back and forth between the two fighters. After a while he leaps up and twists up into the air as he performs an armada dupla on Shoma and then moves to Shinobu and performs a back flip kick which isn't exactly completed since in the process he lands on his face.

Shinobu turns to the charging Aranha. "Ahhh!", she says in alarm, and falls back, 'dodging' the attack before rolling back to her feet. "A... ow...", she says with a wince as he lands. "I hope he's okay...", she says softly, and then turns back to the fight at hand. And, more to the point, Hayato.
"Um, I was only kind of half-listening, but... do you know where know where Sakura is? I've been looking for her.", she asks innocently, apparently clueless as to her fate. "I've been on vacation..." She closes her eyes, taking in a deep breath, and then gets back into her combat stance. "If I win, you have to tell me, okay?"

Hayato blinks as Shoma goes charging off. Well, it doesn't really change anything, although Aranha probably doesn't appreciate the attention. Hayato will have to apologize to him later for leaving him to deal with Shinobu on his own. When Shinobu calls out to him the gym teacher turns to look at her for a moment, looking rather exhasperated. "As far as I know she's in Thailand. She and other kids," he gestures toward Shoma with his shinai, "have been brainwashed into serving that insane dictator over there. I couldn't stop Sakura, but I don't intend to let him have Shoma."
Having explained himself to Shinobu now, that still leaves the matter of dealing with Shoma. By the time Hayato starts moving Aranha has already unleashed his attacks, but Hayato's not counting on the other fighter serving as a distraction. He strides firmly toward the baseball player, raising up his shinai. He doesn't really have anything to say to him anymore... Not under these circumstances. He sweeps out toward the side of Shoma's chest, intending to slam the shinai into his ribs.

Shoma bobs and weaves through the onslaught of Aranha's attack, a calm expression on his face. He turns to face Hayato, and apparently tanks the shot to the ribcage with a slight smile.
"I do not recall giving you an option in the matter, Sensei." Shoma hefts the bat once more and glances at Shinobu, "I can take you to her, if you'd like," he comments before looking at Hayato. "However, it might be wrong to be calling you Sensei, Nekketsu-san." Shoma steps in, "It's become apparent that I have nothing left to learn from you."
The bat comes around again in a sweeping arc.

Hayato's explanation gives Shinobu pause. Well, that would explain why she hasn't been able to find her sensei for lessons... and she frowns deeply, rushing in front of the teacher. In theory, she really should block, but there's no time. Instead, she gets clocked upside the head, stumbling back. The only thing going for her is her hard, hard head, which reduces some of the damage.
But Shoma only has a moment before she snaps her gaze on him. "Sakura is my sensei... so..." Shinobu's /supposed/ to be unpredictable, but throwing an SNF like this would seem to be pushing it. "I don't need you to take me back! She'll be back for my next lesson!"
And with that, she steps forward, and tries to just headbutt Shoma suddenly with her already bruised forehead. She frowns, apparently rather irritated by the revelation.
Hayato wasn't quite expecting that, but he certainly appreciates the help. This'll make it that much easier to subdue Shoma. He'd prefer not to have let the young girl take a bat upside the head for him, but he didn't really have time to react. "Thanks for the help." He offers Shinobu a quick grin, but then his face turns serious again as he looks back to Shoma.
"Kids, you haven't learned enough to know how much you still have to learn. But there'll be plenty of time for that after we undo this damage. But if you're not going to go quietly, we'll just need to do it the hard way." Hayato lunges in Shoma's direction a moment after Shinobu, trying to give her a chance to get out of the way before he opens up with two sweeping strikes from his shinai. He then follows it up by a powerful overhand strike down onto the top of Shoma's head.

Hayato 0/-------/-======|=====--\-------\0 Shinobu
The cool, analytical part of Shoma that Kurow has worked to bolster recognizes the distinct possibility of Shinobu changing sides once things became clear. It's the part of Shoma that Kurow is working to subdue and control that does the talking as he raises an arm to block the headbutt.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING, YOU BRAT?" He blinks. Oh yeah. Forgot about Hayato.
The Shadoloo Slugger tries to bring the bat around to counter the Burning Teacher...but he isn't fast enough. His eyes cloud over as Hayato gives him a solid thwacking with the shinai. A second later, Shoma fails to the ground, knocked out.
Shinobu winces as blood trickles from her scalp, and she wobbles back to standing position. "Um..." She looks over her shoulder. "I don't think my head is okay.", she says, as she puts her hand on it. "I've been using it to punch all day and... I don't think I'm supposed to see those spots." She waves her hand in front of her face. "Will he really be okay? And what about Sakura-sensei? And... are we still fighting?", she says rapidly, turning to face Hayato.
Hayato stares at Shoma's fallen form for several long moments, then looks up to Shinobu at her question. He glances around to all the cameras, then back to the schoolgirl. "I don't think right now is really the time for fighting. I'm sorry this couldn't be the kind of fun match we were looking forward to, but things happen. I'm going to take these guys to the nurse's office. Think you can help me with the doors?"
Without really waiting for a response, Hayato leans down and picks up Shoma, easily hefting him over one shoulder. He then does the same for Aranha, since both youths could probably use at the very least a comfortable place to lay down for a while. Hayato then pauses a moment to see if Shinobu is going to come before he heads off toward the school building. "I'll make it up to you some other time, I promise."

Shinobu nods, and starts moving on ahead. "I wanna see how you fight!", she says with a grin. "I kinda didn't... um... pay attention." She's single-minded, and taking on Aranha was her sole focus. At least until Shoma batted that one away.
As so, she jogs on ahead, holding the door open. Sure, there's pain involved, this being her second time today... but it's nothing enough smoothies and sugar won't fix.
