SNF 2007.06 - Crazy Zhin! Dudley vs Yamazaki

Description: Crazy Zhin is Crazy: In Crazy Zhin's shop, only Crazy goes! (Winner: Yamazaki)

This was one of the more unusual places that anyone would be asked to fight. While most everyone has heard of Crazy Zhin thanks to the horribly annoying commercials of his that tend to fill just about every available television channel, no one really wanted to admit having anything to do with him most times, and this is certainly no different from usual times.

The front section of the warehouse has been corded off now, with people packed all around the roped-off area. The noise and bustle has all but washed out the sound of the final bits of setup; checking the speakers and video equipment, getting people away from the fighting area.

The whole lawsuit regarding Rock has made the SNF officials a bit more wary about having people around Yamazaki, who is currently settled into his own little corner of the fighting area. They've set up turnbuckles in each corner of the roped area, and Ryuji is reclining against one as we speak. A cigarette between two fingers and sunglasses on his nose, and the SNF title belt around his waist. There, he simply rests there for the time being as he waits for the announcement that the fight will be starting.

A knife shop. The hell is this? It certainly seems to favor Yamazaki over Dudley. But the British champ doesn't seem to care--after all, he signed up to do a fight, any fight, and he wouldn't be a warrior if he didn't face whatever odds were against him. The warehouse store is at least large enough for a proper fight.

Dudley walks into the roped off area, followed by his usual entourage--driver and butler, as well as a couple other people. Stopping at his 'corner'... he looks at Yamazaki, for a long moment, and recalls what his people told him about the fighter--namely, that he was crazy. Dispensing with his usual theatrics, the Gentleman Boxer waves his entourage off, and they melt back into the crowd.

He nods to the SNF officials, who nod back, their preparations almost over--and he looks at Yamazaki. The man's visage and such even stop Dudley from delivering his usual opening remark... though he doesn't look anything less than confident.

Slowly, Yamazaki lowers his head down as his opponent arrives, and he peers across the 'ring' towards Dudley from over the top of his sunglasses. He lifts the cigarette to his lips, and he manages a faintly amused grin from around the smoke as he inhales. Then, he tilts his head back just a little, blowing the smoke off into the air before dropping what's left to the floor. He grinds it underneath his shoe heel, then slides the sunglasses from his nose. A low chuckle rumbles in his throat before he hands the glasses back to someone behind the ropes. He unbuckles the championship belt, as well, and hands that back to the same person before turning back into the ring. He slips his right hand into its pocket, then motions towards the SNF staff with the left. They nod back, and the speakers spark to life.

"Ladies and gentlemen, all preparations are complete. The match will begin!"

With that announcement complete, Yamazaki pushes away from one of the turnbuckles and starts to charge right across the ring. He continues to build momentum, hunkering down and pushing hard until he's about eight feet away. From there, he crouches down before vaulting into the air. As he goes up, his right leg comes up with him, bringing that foot up at an almost 180 degree angle from the ground. With his fancy shoe over his head, when gravity starts to bring him down, his foot comes with it, aiming to try and slam his foot down in a vicious axe-kick style strike atop Dudley's head.

COMBATSYS: Yamazaki has started a fight here.

And that foot strikes true; the impact is astounding, to be sure, sending a shockwave through Dudley's body. But even as he's sinking down--as observers might think he was just felled by a single blow to the head--his feet are shifting. His weight is balancing, and the springs in his legs, his muscles, are coiling. The impact is pretty tremendous, though Dudley will never say so. At least, not during the fight.

Somewhere after the kick hits, but before Yamazaki's leg can fully come down, Dudley is lunging forward a half-step and straight up, ripping his right gloved fist straight up into a power uppercut, all the tension stored in his legs launching him literally almost straight up into the air, as he grunts loudly, "JET!" It is the only pronouncement he makes when using his Jet Uppercut, but it might just be enough.

COMBATSYS: Dudley successfully hits Yamazaki with Jet Uppercut.

From that position, it was hard for Yamazaki to throw up any sort of a proper defense. The fist collides with Yamazaki's midsection, sending him backwards in a rather painful backwards tumble. As his back hits the ground, he continues with the momentum, tumbling backwards for a few moments before hopping back up to his feet. "Hmph." Again, the blonde chuckles to himself before rolling his head, causing a loud pop from his neck to sound before he slides his right hand back into its pocket.

He stands still for a few moments, then takes a deep breath in before he steps forward, pushing hard off his back foot as he lunges forward with a hard straight left, throwing his weight around with it as he brings leather glove-clad knuckles across towards the boxer's face.

COMBATSYS: Dudley blocks Yamazaki's Strong Punch.

Landing from the power uppercut, Dudley almost smirks; he felt the hit and it was a good one. But of course, Yamazaki's no pushover, either; Dudley knows this, and he can feel it. So he's on his guard, and when that big leather glove comes smashing in for Dudley's face, his gloved hands are there to absorb the punch.

"A good punch," he grunts, as he forces the gloved hand away with his right hand, "Let me try mine!" That comes in the form of a swinging left hook, an explosive movement firing from Dudley's shoulder and swung as if his target were a foot to the right of Yamazaki's head.

COMBATSYS: Yamazaki counters Hook Punch from Dudley with Sadomazo.

As Dudley comes across with that strike, the blonde former Yakuza member braces his left leg behind him, and he leans forward, right into the punch. There's no time for him to escape, so he simply puts himself right into harm's way. Not only that, but he opens his mouth and extends his tongue. He'll waggle that tongue back and forth for the moment that it takes for that heavy fist to slam into his head. and upon collision? Yamazaki simply doesn't move. Instead, he explodes forward in a sudden rush of movement, and his left hand can be seen flaring up with a sudden rush of gaseous purple chi just a moment before he brings his hand across in a sharp uppercut, driving his fist hard and fast right up underneath Dudley's chin.

Hnnf! Dudley is cleanly counterhit and he takes it hard. The uppercut plus the chi send him flying backwards, and he lands hard on his back. It was a good hit for sure, one that Dudley can respect. He's heard Yamazaki is crazy--and he probably is--but he's also got skills, that's for sure.

He doesn't stay down long--he's learned that most fighters don't respect the ten-count--but when he gets back to his feet, he's more wary of charging in, like he might otherwise. No, he's not going to haring off blindly. Instead, he's going to stand there, and watch Yamazaki, for a moment. To get his measure, to try and understand a little of what's going on in his head, as crazy as the ex-Yakuza is.

COMBATSYS: Dudley focuses on his next action.

As Dudley takes a moment to catch his breath, Yamazaki settles onto his haunches, half-squatting where he is and resting a hand against his leg. He gets a good, clear breath of his own, then just smiles a little to himself. Eyes narrow, brow furrows as he watches Dudley, then he slowly straightens back up to his full height. "Hm." He tilts his head for a moment, and rather than advance, the Syndicate enforcer takes a step back. "Got something good planned, I bet." A grin pulls at the corners of his lips, watching Dudley the same as the boxer watches him. "C'mon, then. I wanna see what you're capable of." He leans in again, lowering his head down and just offering his face forward to the impending advance of his opponent.

COMBATSYS: Yamazaki gains composure.

Dudley smirks faintly. "Something good?" he echoes, as he draws himself up to his full height, "You might say that. But I always have something good planned." But it might not be what Yamazaki is thinking, whatever he is thinking.

Dudley crosses the distance between Yamazaki and himself in a long moment, taking long steps, ducking low during them, rolling his shoulders. But he doesn't come up with an uppercut, as he might usually. Oh, sure, he feints the uppercut with his left, but he remains low, instead, his right fist pistoning out for Yamazaki's stomach, then flicking upwards in a swift short uppercut as Dudley rises to his feet.

COMBATSYS: Dudley successfully hits Yamazaki with Medium Punch.

Just as he stated, his face remains forward, and he makes absolutely no attempt to even get out of the way. He grins wide as Dudley lunges forward, but the fist doesn't come exactly where he was expecting. The wind is knocked right out of him in a swift exhaling, emptying his lungs and leaving him out of breath. He staggers backwards after the uppercut, then takes a deeeeeep breath to refill his lungs once again. "Ha! That's what I like t'see."

Slowly, Yamazaki straightens back up again, taking a deep breath once again before he moves forward once again. One step is taken for momentum before he pushes hard off his back leg, and then the gangster suddenly pivots, bringing his body around and kicking harshly behind him in a sort of mule-type kick aimed to slam his foot into Dudley's chest.

COMBATSYS: Dudley interrupts Heavy Kick from Yamazaki with Rocket Upper.

Dudley's plan comes into sharp focus right -now-. The punches were somewhat effective--but only a setup to his gameplan. The other part--the payoff--comes here, and now. That heavy kick is parried away, Dudley pushing it off balance as he lunge-dashes in, closing with Yamazaki's body. Already a chi wind is swirling around Dudley's feet and his right arm, and then he's ripping that arm upwards in a powerful uppercut, the wind bursting around him, slashing into Yamazaki as the uppercut carries him upwards.

Dudley's going up, too, but he lands while Yamazaki's body is still in the air and then he leaps again, spiraling upwards into another uppercut, and then again for the final uppercut that finishes off the Rocket Upper--a technique that Dudley doesn't announce at all.

Well, he certainly wasn't expecting something of this nature. Especially not in the middle of a strike like that. But as his foot is brushed aside, he's suddenly greeted by a fierce uppercut... and sent into the air. He spirals through the air, then ends up strike again, and a third time. For a moment, he can almost feel himself preparing to black out. His eyes close for a moment, but then they snap open just as quickly, and as he works to right himself in mid-air, he starts laughing. Cackling like a hyena, Ryuji Yamazaki twists himself around in the air to face Dudley, and his eyes are wide, and flecks of foam are flying from the corners of his lips amidst the psychotic laughter. As he descends, his right hand snaps out of his pocket and he tries to slap a hand right onto Dudley's face.

COMBATSYS: Dudley fails to interrupt Guillotine from Yamazaki with Slipping Jab.

He can feel the firm grip of his fingers clenching onto Dudley's face, and his arm extends to its full length, using his already-quick downward momentum to bring the boxer down to the floor. He slams the back of his opponent's head into the ground a moment before his feet hit, and he hits the ground running. The laughter continues as he drags the fallen Dudley by his face across the warehouse floor for a good three or four feet, then he straightens back up. As he stands tall, he brings his right foot up, only to slam the heel of his shoe right down into the Englishman's stomach. A total of four rough stomps proceed, finished with one hard kick to the ribs.

Well that was... spectacularly wrong. Yamazaki was just too fast--Dudley tried to stop the grab for his face but he can only try to protect vitals as he's brought down, ground against the floor, flung up, and stomped all to hell. He doesn't quite make it; in fact, he feels ribs crack, several of them, and there's likely to be a good deal of internal bruising.

He rolls away after the last stomp, and it does in fact take him quite a few moments before he's even able to get anywhere close to his feet... when he's on his feet, he's hunched over slightly, but still breathing. For now, anyways.

As Dudley works to recover, Yamazaki isn't about to allow him enough time to get that breath back. Having felt the punishment of the boxer's fists already, he's not about to allow that to happen already. When Dudley hunches over, the left shoulder of the gangster drops down, and that arm starts to dangle lifelessly in front of him. "C'mon, c'mon.." He narrows one eye as he starts to take aim, and the arm just swings in front of him like an idle sack of meat. Then, in the blink of an eye, that arm comes up and lashes out, seeming to extend beyond normal proportions as it strikes out like a whip, aiming to slam his knuckles in a blinding-fast strike square into the middle of Dudley's face.

COMBATSYS: Dudley fails to interrupt Snake Tamer from Yamazaki with Rolling Thunder.

The strike isn't much, really--certainly it's fast, but often speed and power are nearly one to one tradeoffs. But it's fast enough to strike before Dudley can execute his next plan, and it's enough to bring him to his knees. Not out, but he knows when he's lost a fight.

He raises his right hand, breathing out hard, despite the pain of broken ribs and stomped internal organs, and finds his voice. "Enough," he says, gritting his teeth, as the pain starts rising when his adrenaline starts fading. "An excellent fight, Mister Yamazaki," the boxer says, as he just sinks to the floor.

The shoulder straightens back up, and Yamazaki reels his arm back in. He takes a moment to clench his fist before Dudley calls him off. He looks to the SNF officials, who nod in agreement before Ryuji nods to them, then to Dudley. Admittedly, Ryuji /has/ been fairly sedate throughout this entire fight. Geese has pulled in the leash of the enforcer, so to speak, with the pending lawsuit from Rock Howard. So, in contrast to his typical fight-ends, the Chinese man just nods to Dudley again before he walks over to the edge of the roped area. He takes the championship belt and sunglasses from his associate, then puts the sunglasses on. He turns back to the ring again as the speakers spark back to life, and he hoists the championship belt high over his head as the speakers spark back to life.

"Ladies and gentlemen! Tonight's winner.. the SNF Champion, Ryuji Yamazaki!" The crowd cheers, as they do at the end of every match, and the belt is lowered back down before Yamazaki exits the fighting area.

COMBATSYS: Yamazaki has ended the fight here.
