SNF 2007.05 - Luc/Marisol/Hakuya vs Hideo

Description: The most unlikely team ever faces off against Justice High's most unlikely teacher ever. Will his lessons earn him a victory, or will they lead to his crushing defeat?? (Winners: Luc, Marisol and Hakuya)

Perhaps one of the strangest events in the history of Saturday Night Fighting gives way to perhaps one of the strangest settings as well. The Justice High Courtyard has been entirely set up to look like a graduation. A huge stage, with the Justice High banner draping down and a podium at the center, complete with microphone. Before it is a row of about fifteen folding chairs, despite the fact that there are only three people actually attending the speech. The entire courtyard is sealed off by gates, with camera crews and fight fans thirsty for violence, which are going to be rather surprised once they figure out the nature of this fight.

Hideo Shimazu, the not-so-legendary Justice High Japanese teacher, stands at the podium, clad in his usual flannel shirt, tie, and those seemingly bizarre giant shoulderpads he always wears. He pushes up his square rimmed glasses a moment, takes a breath, and begins speaking to his 'students'. "I know that none of you attend my school, and that none of you are here to actually listen to me." his voice echoes through the 'crowd'. His voice is surprisingly strong, especially considering how shy he is in person. "But you will listen to my lecture. And you will not just listen, but you will -understand- them. Justice High is a school that prides itself in nearly all areas that an educational system could pride itself in. But it's not because we feel we are 'entitled' and thus responsible. It's not because we feel we must take up the slack of others..." he lectures, his eyes scope the surroundings, a watchful eye on the teenagers. And they might not see it... but Hideo is simultaneously writing notes behind the podium. And at the distance they're at, it's not like they'd be able to figure what the notes actually ARE anyway.

COMBATSYS: Hideo has started a fight here.

Hakuya's entire purpose for being here was simple: Tenma had talked him into it. With promises of fun, money, and the possibility of facing people stronger than he himself, how could Hakuya refuse? Not like he would've anyway, even if Tenma hadn't tried to convince him. The poor Gedite was one of those guys who just sort of went with the flow. But the 'fun' and 'fighting stronger people' parts were certainly enticing. And when he told his 'older sister' what he was doing on Saturday, she had been all smiles - because usually, entering into SNF fights meant money. Perhaps that was why she took him out to a fancy restaurant Friday... she knew she'd get paid back, with huge interest? ...Nah. Hakuya's manner of thinking left no room for 'suspicion,' particiularly not from his older sister.
So here he was. At Justice High, a school he knew of purely by reputation. He was one of the three 'students' listening to Hideo's lecture, and despite what the premise of the match was made up around, and what Hideo himself had said, Hakuya -does- listen. Intently, even. Though he's dressed for a fight, maybe... maybe he just responds naturally like that to teachers? It's a little odd, especially coming from a Gedo High student. Eyes alert, attention focused up front, he pays stark attention to the teacher... except the one time he spares a glance towards his two compatriots, assuming they're seated with him. Offering the two a smile, and a slight wave, he turns back to Hideo. One would think the Suigetsu heir might be a little more battle ready. One would think that he wouldn't wave to people who had, just earlier this week, decided they wanted to beat him up for the hell of it.
One wouldn't know what to think about Hakuya, maybe.

COMBATSYS: Hakuya has joined the fight here on the right meter side.

"Uhhh..." Luc Schroedinger begins, piping up from the last row of seats in the back,
"... we're not actually /graduating/, right?"
After his last successful bout in SNF, and the prospect of fighting other incredibly strong martial artists and miscellaneous fighters, the young heir of the Schwarzerde style had decided to make a habit of continuing this pattern to see where it led him. Where it led him today, is apparently a graduation ceremony. And while it's obvious enough for some that this is not actually meant for a graduation, there are plenty of occasions where the obvious slips past Luc's notice -- this just happens to be one of those occasions.
Still, with the set up as it is, and with the assembly of all of two students, the fact that he is still a sophomore AND the fact that this isn't even his school, Luc quickly deduced for himself that this was not, in fact, an actual graduation. Upon arrival, he quickly took a seat, as if expecting the old man before them to just be an announcer rather than an actual fighter giving a speech before the fight itself began. Propping his legs up on the back of his seat, green eyes lazily roam over to Hakuya as he waves. Luc raises his brows, frowns, and looks away, scratching idly at his ear as Hideo continues his speech. Unlike Hakuya, Luc isn't listening. And unlike Hakuya... Luc is finding himself incredibly bored.
"... hey." The young German pipes up from the back again, looking with narrowed eyes towards Hideo, "I didn't come here for stupid, boring speeches. I came here to fight. So just shut up and announce who we're up against already, you old freak." Yes, despite the massive, strange shoulder pads Hideo wears, Luc still hasn't put together the clues to discern that this is his opponent. He looks too plain. Too wimpy. Too much... like a teacher.

COMBATSYS: Luc has joined the fight here on the right meter side.

All the while, Marisol O'Connell is seated rather in-between both Luc and Hakuya, off to the far left at the edge of the outside aisle. Unlike her "friend" and teammate Luc, Marisol knows better than to presume that they're here for graduating ceremonies. She knows well and good what the hell they're doing here.

And part of her just doesn't care. She didn't come here for the speeches, after all.

So while Hakuya may listen attentively, she - like her compatriot Luc - is barely paying attention. In fact, she isn't even paying attention at all. Instead she seats deep in her chair, sitting slouched with her feet propped up before her on the chair in front of hers. Clad in a pair of khaki capri pants and a green tank top with a white hoodie jacket on her shoulders, the redhead seems more intent on staring at her knees. Idly, beneath wavy copper locks, she bobs her head, her hand tapping on her knee.

Hidden beneath those long red locks are a pair of white earbuds, connected to an unseen Ipod in her jacket. Whatever the weird teacher is prattling on about, she has no idea. Instead, she grins as she spares a glance, watching his mouth move in time to a batch of lyrics in the song she's listening to.

Hakuya doesn't go unnoticed, however. The moment her eyes drift they lock on the back of his head, eyes hooding in annoyance. "What a waste of time," she mumbles.

Well, they are lacking a bit in the discipline department. That's perfectly fine and good. In fact, Hideo was specifically told that the sitatuon would boil down to something like this. It was the sole reason he signed up for this event in the first place. After all, he's never been one for fighting for sport. Still, he's not exactly putting forth effort to make things -interesting-. That's not what his purpose here is. It's when he takes a short breath that Luc makes his comment. "... Verbal interruptions will not be tolerated. However, I think I should tell you that I am your opponent, and that you may strike me at any time." he says flatly. ... Wait, what? He takes a quick look at Marisol, and jots something down in that little notepad of his, before he continues. "... This school was created because there was a vision. A vision where Japan was not just strong in its industrialization. A Japan that -inspires- other countries. And how do we do that? By -inspiring- Japan. To show that it's possible to make devoted and exemplary members of society even if they lack so-called potential.'" And after that remark, he sighs a moment. "You will listen close to what I say next, because it involves you. If you want to have any success in your simple and uninspiring lives, you will do well to listen to what I say." he darkens his tone a moment. He has yet to make any sort of serious move... but he's still got that notepad.

COMBATSYS: Hideo takes no action.

Hakuya's attentive listening to the authority figure continues, though it seems shaken a little as the others seem quite clued in to what's going on. See, Hakuya had -no idea- what an SNF entailed. He'd never watched one on the TV, and he'd never been in one before. So he really was quite lost. But then it's spelt out for him: all this, this graduation set up, was all just a farce, made for TV. Luc and Marisol seem to get that, but he sure didn't! Good thing the teacher-type guy was there to inform him. "Oh!" he says, and blinks a bit. His smile spreading on his lips, the Suigetsu heir bobs his head a few times in a succession of nods, signaling that he indeed does get it now. And with that in mind, lady and gentlemen, he decides to kick things off. After all, while he'd -never- dream of this in school, this was something else entirely. "If verbal interruptions aren't tolerated... what about physical?" Though a somewhat rowdy statement, he says it with his usual quiet, cheerful tone. And, along with that, Hakuya's leg comes up, and he kicks the chair in front of him up into the air. Springing up after it, he plants both feet, then times his attack, shoving both hands out as the chair comes back down to the ground, and 'throwing' it at Hideo's head, right over the podium!

This is starting to feel more and more like some sort of school assembly, and Luc doesn't like it. Normally this would be the time in which he would just walk out or doze off, but then, this ISN'T a school assembly. And right as he feels inspired to take a nap until this geek of an old man is finished with his little story time, he says something that piques the boy's interest; 'I am your opponent.' Luc's eyes crack open a touch, green eyes squinting pointedly at Hideo. "..." He frowns in thought, and then --
"Are you SERIOUS?"
It seems the boy isn't quite paying attention to the reprimands he receives. This isn't school, this isn't an assembly and even further, he wouldn't be listening even if it was. He's heard the only thing he's needed to hear. Slowly, the black-haired youth kicks up out of his seat. He rolls his neck with the faintest cracking sounds, clenches his fists. "Heh. Some geeky old loser like YOU is the guy we're fighting? ... Give me a break. I don't CARE about your stupid school or this stupid country. All I care about..."
In one, fluid motion, Luc's right leg swings forward, planting into the seat of the chair just in front of him. With an exertion of effort, he pushes OFF the chair, springing himself into the air and straight towards Hideo like a rocket, with one fist outstretched and flaring with black-blue chi that spirals around the entirety of his arm with intent to explosively crash into the teacher's face.
"... IS HOW STRONG YOU ARE!"

Even though Hideo continues to speak, Marisol does not pay attention. Gray eyes drift from the strange teacher back to her hands, where she idly looks at her nails, lips pulled in a thin line across her face. The music in her ears continues to be far, far more interesting than the teacher's speech on Japan and "inspiration." Really, why should a foreigner like herself care?

Only do her eyes stir from her hands when they catch movement out of the corner of her eye. Blinking slowly, the redhead watches as Hakuya moves, followed by Luc's dramatic leap up and at the man on stage. Most would be appalled by such behavior.

Marisol just doesn't care. Instead, the girl's attentions remain fixed on the stage as her "cohorts" in the SNF leap into action. More particular, her eyes are focused on the odd teacher, to see just what he's capable of...

A grin haunts her lips, however.

COMBATSYS: Marisol focuses on her next action.

The Justice High Teacher seems about ready to continue his speech. But he seems to have a problem of having a chair flying towards his head. In a completely casual motion, Hideo simply ducks his head slightly, and the chair flies harmlessly above him. He starts to raise his head, but at the same time he raises his gloved hand, catching somehow catching the fist in his palm and simply -stopping- the German right there. Hideo turns a stern frown towards Luc, and in an alarmingly calm voice, he comments on his actions. "See? You have no form, and barely any spirit." He clenches Luc's fist for a few moments, before he lightly tosses the boy back to his seat. And with that little display, even with the people trying to continue, Hideo decides it's a good time to continue! "... This world doesn't need people who feel no dedication. This world doesn't need people who don't take what they do seriously. What this world needs is inspiration. And it is only through discipline that any sort of inspiration can ever be attained. There are no miracles. Or at least, none of any real consequence. So all that you can rely on, in the end, is your own strength. Can any of you do that?! SHOW ME!!" his voices raises to an almost frightening volume, and his fists slam onto the podium. However, he has yet to make any real move. It's pretty doubtful at this point that Hideo even knows what he's doing.

COMBATSYS: Hideo takes no action.

A duck, then a block...? And a well executed one, too. Seeing that gives Hakuya a little pause. Hideo was no normal teacher, it seems. And it wasn't just the shoulder pads, either! A slight pause is given by the Suigetsu Heir, who seems to consider. Point 1: Hideo was their opponent. That much was true from the beginning. Point 2: Hideo blocked a punch that would've knocked most of their feet, or at least driven them back, without any lean. Point 3: Hideo is stronger than the average teacher. Conclusion: No need to hold back. This line of thought processed, Hakuya gives a slight smile, and then Hakuya begins to hurdle over the chairs, moving to the other side of Hideo, opposite from Luc. Lashing out with one hand, a palm strikes at Hideo's chest. Hakuya's body shifts, and then his other hand lashes out in a palm uppercut, finishing it off by trying to shoulder ram Hideo's body towards Luc.

Blinking as he's literally caught in midair by a single hand that seems to almost effortlessly stop his attack, Luc is allowed a moment's pause to think things over. Judging by how easily the man stopped his attack, it seems there's good reason /why/ this seemingly wussy, four-eyed freak is fighting all three of them at once. To some, it might be intimidating. Frustrating. Maybe even scary. To Luc? The fact that Hideo is not some geeky shoe-in for the laughs is, well...
"... AWESOME! HAHAHAA!!"
Pushing off as soon as Hideo shoves, Luc flips through the air, but of mainly his own accord. His trajectory sends him slamming feet first into the chair right next to Marisol as she listens to her music and watches the goings-on. "I hate preachy assholes..." Luc mutters, before he makes note of the half-Spaniard. "..." He pauses, stares fixedly at the girl. And he frowns most mightily. "Hey, instead of just watching--" Luc swoops down, to grab Marisol by the back of her shirt and hefts her up, securing her with his other hand at the waistband of her skirt. "--how about you JOIN IN, HUH?!"
From there, Luc is just going to hurl Marisol at Hideo like a human rocket.
"Stupid girls."

COMBATSYS: Luc assists Marisol.

By the time Marisol catches Hideo ducking beneath the chair, she's already begun plucking the earbuds of her iPod out of her ears. Tucking them safely into the pockets of her white sweater hoodie, the redhead continues to observe from afar, still grinning as broadly as ever - likely more so when Luc is plucked out of midair. In fact, Marisol laughs at him.

"Ahahaha, you got told!" the girl cries from her spot in the sea of folding chairs, hands dropping to her hips. "God, Luc. Can you possibly suck ANY MORE than you already DO?" Even when he lands next to her, the half-Spaniard lifts her head and tosses her head to one side, lips pulled in a swift smirk across her face. "Quit complaining about his preaching. You know how old people are. This is probably the most fun he's seen in years."

For the most part, she presumes he'll leave her to his own devices. And yet, he does not; instead, he suddenly grabs the girl, causing her to flail about. "Let...let me go, asshole!" she cries, "I don't want to join in yet!" She has no choice, though. A second later she's sent rocketing through the air.

"FINE!!!"

Swiftly twisting her body, midair, she repositions herself to fly sneaker-first at Hideo's face...

After Hideo recovers from the attack from Hakuya, he'll find a foot clipping him in the jaw. Landing after impact, the redhead lashes out with a tight fist, striking the teacher in his abdomen. The other fist whips up from her side thereafter, striking him soundly in the sternum in the span of seconds. The last blow comes as a harsh right hook from her fist, kissed with yellowy chi, which explodes on impact to send the poor Justice High teacher flying back.

...and leaves her with a huge grin. Yeah. Looking back, the girl shouts at Luc, "THAT'S HOW YOU DO IT, IDIOT!"

Well, at least he's getting them to rally now. Unfortunately, Hideo fears that this might be one of the only accomplishments tonight. Even as they coordinate their attacks, they seem to be doing it less for the sake of each other and more for the sake of winning. That simply will not do! Still, the attacks come far faster than Hideo anticipates. The initial strike and shoulder check hit right on their intended targets. And that is briefly followed by Marisol's powerful combo. Each of the punches hit their intended targets, and the final chi burst is finally enough to get the man to give way a little bit. But even with the two attacks, Hideo seems to be in good shape. Even has he is made to step back from the blows, he is slowly forming his hands to his sides. And when he finally finds his ground, he adjusts his glasses and begins speaking once more."None of you have any discipline, which spirit is the direct result of! And without spirit, you don't have a chance at even fighting!! I normally disagree to these contests, but I WILL MOLD YOU INTO PROPER FIGHTERS!!!" his voice echoes throughout the entire courtyard, and with that he thrusts his palms, stacked over one another, forward, sending a bright blue wave of energy sailing at high speeds towards the girl. In fact, his aim is exact enough that it is actually sailing -right towards- that shiny new Ipod Marisol has taken the time to bring with her today!

Wow...! Marisol's attack was pretty impressive, really, and catching it from the corner of his eye as he strikes at Hideo, he has to say he's pretty impressed. But then, he's fought Marisol before, and knows already that she was a capable fighter. It was a wonder they stacked the three of them together against Hideo, really. Either the organizers were underestimating the three of them, or Hideo was way stronger than he looked. Banking on the latter, he'd have to treat Hideo with some respect, in regards to his fighting ability. Which is why, when the man strikes out at Marisol, regardless of whether or not the man hits, Hakuya's body slides in, attempting to take advantage of any weaknesses in Hideo's stance, a hand grabbing onto the teacher's arms and pulling forward, while his right leg sweeps inwards, trying to overbalance Hideo and send him to the floor.

That's how you do it? Luc pauses after the swing of the fellow Pacific High student through the air, before his teeth grit in mild irritation.
"What are you talking about?! You would have just sat around like a useless piece of crap if I hadn't done anything!" Is Luc's angry reply, spitting at the ground before he widens his legs to shoulder width, adopting a sort of casual fighting stance. Watching as those attacks plow through, and as that wave of power goes crashing towards Marisol, Luc rushes in a surge of motion towards Hideo, leaping into the fray once more.
The German doesn't even give Marisol so much of a second glance. Instead, he leaps through the air halfway through his run, making a straightforward jumping kick towards Hideo. He aims for the sternum and, should he connect, a wave of black, burning chi follows in the wake of the strike, springing from his foot like a miniature inferno to engulf Hideo and simply /explode/ in a painful manner. "GRAAH!!"

Rally? Perhaps. But, likely, the enthusiasm of the two Pacific High students isn't for the reasons he'd hope for. Instead, the likes of Marisol fights to simply train and get better. To pit herself against seemingly impossible odds and persevere through to become the best she can. In a way, her goals are noble...even if she gloats about her accomplishments.

Such as now. Still glancing back at her teammate, the girl sports a huge, arrogant smile. "You heard me, idiot!" she cries back, thrusting a finger at his face. "I was biding my time, readying myself for the perfect time to strike! It's not always about rushing in like a moron, you know!" Exhaling in annoyance, Marisol's gray eyes snap shut, full lips pulling into a thin line across her face. "You are so stupid," she growls, as her gaze sweeps back toward Hideo...

...to see him sending a blast of energy RIGHT AT HER...iPod.

Oh HELL no.

Gritting her teeth, Marisol blocks out her "teammates" as she suddenly focuses and twists her body, accepting the brunt of the powerful blow against the side which does not harbor her iPod. Instead, she plows through that blue energy before she lashes out with a glowing hand, a swath of yellow chi encasing Hideo like a cocoon. Trapped, the suffocating energy builds up, surging before it suddenly spikes inwardly, and explodes into a flurry of yellow, butterfly-like energy motes that vanish into thin air.

Marisol? She takes a moment to step back afterwards to breathe.

... Well, Hideo's attempts don't seem to be gaining any ground here. But that's alright! At least, it's alright until he finds himself trapped in some weird cocoon and more or less imploded! Not exactly a good thing, to be certain. But he seems to find the strength to recover fast enough to swiftly duck away from his grasp. But then there's Luc. And though Hideo immediately raises a leg to catch him before he lands his blow, he miscalculates the situation and ends up with a painful fiery kick right in the face.. After all, he isn't a physics teacher! But despite all of this, Hideo is both confident and has yet to actually be brought down, though it seems the attacks of the three fighters are beginning to wear him down. Still he gathers himself into his fighting stance, and wordlessly he beckons the fighters forth with his hands.

So far in this fight, Hakuya doesn't seem to be a very big contender! He's probably not treating Hideo right somehow, or it could just be that Marisol and Luc are faster than him - all entirely possible. Even so, as his hold on Hideo is completely evaded, Hakuya's balance is tipped a little into the 'unbalanced' part of things, as his grab was meant to transfer his excess weight to Hideo. Stumbling back a bit, it's possibly fortunate his balance -was- tipped, otherwise Luc and Marisol's attacks might otherwise have hit him. Not a very pleasant thought, that! So, feet dancing a little in order to get his balance back, he rolls back around to Hideo's rear, trying to flank him. But at the same time, attempting to take advantage of both Marisol and Luc pressing in from the front. That is to say, if all goes well, their attacks will press Hideo backwards - right into Hakuya kicking him straight in the back of the knee, then bringing his arm up and around to armbar the teacher across the shoulders, throwing him straight to the ground.

No doubt Luc is only fighting for his own self-interest. What other reason is there to fight, especially in an event like SNF? All the German wants to do is fight interesting, strong opponents, and he's hoping he's found one here -- if Hideo is strong enough that they need three fighters to take him down, surely he has to be something special beyond that nerdy look of his. But Luc only gets a brief glimpse of it in that flash of movement before his foot overpowers Hideo and outmaneuvers him with one mighty kick, pushing off the Justice High teacher just as soon as that explosion of black energy goes off.
"... hmph." Giving a single glare at Marisol, Luc mutters under his breath something about 'shitty know-it-all girls' before refocusing his attention on Hideo. As Hakuya presses in for another attack, Luc rushes in as well, slamming to a stop JUST in front of Hideo, sweeping one leg up high in a deft, rotating kick aimed for Hideo's jaw. He leaps in the effort, spinning around and bringing his left boot heel crashing into the teacher's face shortly after, each burning with that tell-tale black-blue chi.

Though the old man might not be gaining any ground, he IS secretly impressing at least one of the three young fighters here. Marisol offers a brief expression of surprise as he remains standing, even after being impaled by energy, as WELL as being kicked in the face by her teammate. Briefly, Marisol turns her attentions toward Luc, to whom she offers a smirk. She heard that.

But it doesn't matter. For now, she's focused on the battle at hand. Luc and Hakuya both move, and...well, why not? Rushing in, the girl lifts a fist from her side, clenching it tightly. "HEADS UP!" she cries, swinging it toward Hideo's gut. If it lands she attempts to grab the man by his head and bring it into her knee before she pushes him away!

COMBATSYS: Hakuya successfully hits Hideo with Waning Dawn.

Well, at the very least Hakuya is finally able to get his credit due! Hideo is a bit too distracted to stop the -quite- younger man from tossing him. But at the same time he falls in a manner just so that Luc's kick flies past him. But as he tries to find the strength to get up, the punch -nails- him in the gut and his head is brought to her knee. This time, Hideo... well... there's a bit of blood on his face. Yet his glasses remain intact. He stumbles and mutters a bit before he finally gains his ground again. He's looking quite a bit worse for the wear at this point. But strangely, there's a flicker of a smile on his face. Almost as if... he approves of what's happening.

Flanking for the win? Hakuya's moving behind the teacher places him favorably, as indeed just what the Suigetsu heir had planned, happens. Luc's kick forces Hideo to move backwards, and getting punched and totally knee'd by Marisol forces the hapless teacher to stumble back into Hakuya's kicking leg, stumbling him, and then the armbar just finishes the job, making the man tumble down. Stepping back a bit, Hakuya isn't really quite sure what's going on, here! Hideo no doubt was an accomplished fighter - the fact he could take attacks from the three and keep standing was clear enough on that. And yet it almost felt like Hideo wasn't trying. Maybe he was testing the three, then. Or maybe... he was holding himself in reserve? Saving the best for last, as it were? Whatever the case, Hakuya's a little hesitant to step back in, and thus he moves off a short distance, keeping his guard up, but for now watching the teacher - as likely Marisol and Luc will not give him the same leeway that Hakuya himself does, so hey, at least it'll give him a chance to study the man's moves a bit.

COMBATSYS: Hakuya focuses on his next action.

It seems that Hideo is getting into dire straights. Yet despite all the damage he's taken, he's still standing. Most people would have probably fallen at this point; yet for all the blows he's taken, Hideo hardly seems /that/ comparatively battered. Still, Luc doesn't quite appreciate the fact that his sweeping attack was so narrowly evaded by the high school instructor, and with gritted teeth the German leaps /backwards/ to gain distance before Hideo can launch a counter attack.
"Che!" Spitting the ground in an agitated manner, Luc rubs the back of his neck, considering Hideo in his green gaze. While Hakuya stays towards the back, Luc continues on the offensive. He rushes in headlong, intent on grasping the geeky-looking old man by the face and literally spinning to THRUST him into the ground nearby, followed by an explosive BURST of black-violet chi. "GRRRAAAAH!!" Not exceptionally painful, probably, but rather quick.

"Ah ha ha ha!" Gloating at her success, the girl grabs Hideo's head and introduces him to her knee, grinning broadly - almost insanely - as she does so. She isn't necessarily laughing at Hideo's plight. No, instead, her laughter - and her eyes - seem fixed on her angry teammate. "You didn't hit him! What's wrong?" Pushing the man away, she steps back, pausing only to spare a glance to her capris. Dammit, there's blood on them.

Eyes snap back up, however, fixed on the German. "Did you see that?" she gloats. "That one-two combo? I've been workin' on that, Luc. And I'm going to try it on YOU sometime, you hear?" Pacing back and away from the strange instructor, Marisol's gaze is fixed on him now.

"As for you, old man," she declares, just as the ground at her feet begins to whip up with winds, motes of yellow energy rising slowly from the ground into the air, dancing like fireflies.

"I'm not feeling very inspired. I think you wasted all your efforts talking about inspiration and Japan."

This time, Hideo doesn't seem to be too worse off from the attack. Sadly, this is probably because only one person actually attacked him. When the young man moves to grab him, he simply raises an arm to swat away the hand. "Hmph." the teacher loudly groans, before he turns his head towards Marisol. "I don't even know why I'm wasting my time with you. You don't even know -why- you're even doing well, do you? I haven't been in many fighting circumstances, but I do know one thing. Your attacks are embarrassing, and you're wasting effort to achieve something you could easily do without it." Swiftly, Hideo pivots his body, delivering a very fast and sharp spinning punch right to Luc's face. It seems incredibly simple in execution. But... well, only Luc would really be able to tell how effective it is.

Well, this fight was going well, it seemed. And yet, Hakuya was still confused. He didn't voice his opinions or anything, of course, it was just a general confusion. About the whole damn thing. And yet, from the look he gives Marisol when she boasts to Luc, or more specifically the thing she says afterwards to the teacher, he seems to be agreeing with her. He isn't particularly inspired by this kind of a fight! So what's he going to do? Well, other than looking a little lost and hopelessly confused, he's going to... drop his guard, and do nothing. Yep. Just stick his hands on into his pockets, and watch the fight, for now. Maybe he's waiting for an opportunity to strike, maybe he's just not into the fight any more, but more or less, he's... just lost.

What was that? "Why don't you try something other than standing around looking like an idiot for once?!" Luc bellows back at Marisol in a most unpleasant manner, snorting at the girl as she seems intent to just... stand there and try and look intimidating with her flowery little chi. He hates it when she does that. But he's got bigger things to worry about -- mainly, he needs to concern himself with the fact that Hideo is finally doing something rather than letting them beat on him. And he's aiming his attack... right at Luc.
So what's the young German to do? As soon as Hideo spins and sends that fist flying, a wicked grin floats across Luc's lips. "/Finally./" He sounds happy -- excited, even. And the reason should be too clear as soon as he rushes RIGHT into Hideo's fist. His head is knocked to the side, but in return, Luc manages to power THROUGH the bulk of that titanic strike, sending his own fist flying forward in a brutal haymaker aimed right for Hideo's nose. "You're PRETTY STRONG, HUH?! HAHAHAA!" Whatever that haymaker connects with, a sudden, spiking lance of black-blue chi follows afterwards explosively, before the Schroedinger heir /flips/ backwards, intent on slamming both his feet into Hideo's jaw as he goes flying backwards. That punch is painful. And Luc is all too happy about it, it seems.

When Hideo speaks up, the redhead looks positively bemused.

For a moment, what he says seems to stun her, gray eyes wide as she just looks at the much older man in disbelief. She doesn't know why she's doing well? Her attacks are embarrassing? What...what is he talking about? And why does he think HE has room to talk to her like that?

"Ho...how DARE you!" she exclaims, thrusting a finger forward, toward the bespecticaled Justice High teacher. Frowning sharply, Marisol widens her eyes, lips pulling back over pearly whites as she scowls in frustration. "You have no place, talking like that to me! Look at you! All that preaching has DULLED that thick skull of yours! ARGH! You make me angry!"

But just when she thinks he's going to attack HER he attacks Luc, causing her to sneer in irritation. "Is that how it is?" she growls under her breath before she suddenly charges forward, lashing out at Hideo's face with a downward punch, then a hook before she twists her body and unleashes both fists at his chest, a burst of yellow chi erupting, should it impact!

And yet, Luc's doesn't seem to phase the Shimazu-heir too much. In fact, he simply raises an arm and once again stops Luc's fist short, even as the black chi swirls toward him. Of course, this would probably give Marisol a good opportunity to hit Hideo, but the older man simply weaves his body to the side, allowing Marisol to continue her motion against thin air. "Do you honestly think I would still be standing if you had any real skill? Your reliance on others is the only thing keeping you through this!" he says, forcefully but not entirely loud. "... And I will teach you what it costs you!!" he yells, this time his voice at full volume. And meanwhile, he waves his arms around his body, pulling his arms in... before he thrusts them forward and shoots another large blast of energy, this one dwarfing the previous one. ... Though it doesn't look spectacular, there's something different about it. Something only Hakuya could be able to discern, if it actually hits the target!!

And hit it does. Hakuya seems to have been all settled in to -not- do anything at all to the rest of this fight. Or, well, at least for a little bit, anyway. He was confused, perhaps, about Hideo's abilities. Was it just a test? He thought this was an all-out fight. But even so, even through the attacks that Luc and Marisol dish out, the teacher keeps up his fighting... and then suddenly, he turns towards the Suigetsu heir, his arms pulling in. This was one thing that Hakuya had absolute knowledge of: when someone's about to launch a chi projectile at him. He'd seen it countless times back at the manor in Osaka, and he knew, purely by instinct, just what was going to happen to him. His guard was down, his hands in his pockets, his stance not at all right for even attempting to dodge, block, or even try to push the reflect back at Hideo. What's a teenager to do?

Go through it, of course.

Tilting his body forward and beginning a dead run, the teen's hands come out of his pockets, and his hand moves up to pull his hoodie up over his head, while mid-run. His body nears the chi projectile, and it hits him, square on. There's a small burst of light, and surely an unguarded teenager couldn't survive that much dust that whips up all around him. But survive he does, and out the other side of the projectile comes Hakuya. With a growled cry of 'Haaaaaah!' he launches himself at Hideo. Getting near to the teacher, he uses the (hopefully existent) lag time in Hideo's recovery, and his own speed, to first drive his foot into the man's stomach, then pushes off and up his gut in order to somersault in the air. Grabbing Hideo as he returns to the floor on his feet, he intends to haul the somewhat larger teacher over his shoulder, and then just throw him into the ground, hard.

The thing is, Luc isn't seeking to impress Hideo by moving through that assault. He's just trying to enjoy himself. And if he doesn't allow himself to get hit at ALL, how is he ever going to manage that? Still though, it seems his actions don't earn him the satisfaction of seeing his attack go through cleanly. He hardly cares, of course; he's still grinning as Hideo manages to put up a guard to that crushing haymaker, and he's still grinning the very moment he leaps backwards and away from Hideo.
Landing solidly on his feet, black hair jostling from the impact, Luc frowns, eyes half lidding as his expression once more changes to boredom and -- more importantly -- irritation. "Man, I hate it when losers start to ramble." He mutters, rubbing the back of his neck before peering at Hakuya's little act of bravery and craziness, arching a brow and grinning. "Hey! You dumb old piece of shit! Just because we're younger doesn't mean we don't have any skill. How about you go cry in a corner somewhere, you worthless geek?" Luc isn't tossing himself back into the fray this time around. Instead, he's content to just assault Hideo verbally, taking a moment to catch his breath.

Her attack missed.

For a moment, Marisol looks utterly perplexed. Then, she scowls, eyes hooding as her brows descend, an angry look on her face. Snapping her head to one side, the redhead looks toward the man as he outright avoids the attack, dodging it easily. What's worse is he has the NERVE to continue preaching at her. How dare he - how DARE he.

Looking particularly perturbed by now, she watches as his attentions focus on the slacking Hakuya, whom he seems wholly intent on punishing. It draws a swift smirk across her lips, smoky grays hooding almost arrogantly before she laughs. "Stop sitting around, you Gedo trash!" she cries, even as he blasts through the attack.

Soon, though, her eyes nap back toward her fellow Pacific High teammate. "You LOSER!" she cries, thrusting a finger at his face. "Why are you sitting there?? Do something already!" That being said, the redhead suddenly pivots on her heel and attempts to kick Hideo in his back just as Hakuya charges at him. "Worthless!"

Hideo is easily able to step away from Marisol's first kick, moving to the side as it flies. It... well, it doesn't stop Hakuya, though. The strike manages to land, and Hideo basically goes through quite the carnival ride. The flip kick sends him flying into the air, and it's definitely not a pretty sight when Hakuya slams him into the ground. For a few minutes, Hideo contemplates lying there and complaining about how much back pain he's going through right now. But unfortunately, he has a job to do! So slowly, he stands up, and starts moving, fairly decently, towards Hakuya. And as he approaches, he raises an arm. For a few moments, it probably looks very threatening. Especially to the poor boy. But after a few moments, Hideo simply drops the hand on his shoulder. "Congratulations on the win. You carried yourself incredibly well. I'll be expecting great things from you." he says with an an approving smile. He then turns from him, and picks up his notebook, which he had discarded previously in the fight. Taking a pen that he somehow managed to keep in his pocket during the fight, and writes down something else. When he finishes he takes a look at the other two fighters. "I have to congratulate you as well." he says, although far more seriously. "And I am certain that summer school will be a wonderful opportunity for you to excel." ... And with that, the elderly teacher begins to walk off, away from the fight.

And just as soon as it all seem to began...it's over.

For once, Marisol seems sincerely surprised when the elder teacher congratulates Hakuya, of all the people here, and puts a hand on his shoulder. The redhead just stares, gray eyes wide, stunned. At her side, hands clench into tight fists at her side, lips pulling into a thin, particularly tight line across her face. Why does he get the praise when she and Luc worked twice as hard to hit the teacher?

Behind those lips, teeth clench tightly as she is spoken to. Summer school? She tosses her head, dismissing his words as crock. Instead, her head swivels, eyes falling back onto Hakuya. She looks particularly angry. No. Just...no. Briefly, her gaze shifts to Luc. She gives him a stern look, before they fall back onto Hakuya.

Perhaps unexpected is the sudden rush forward, as Marisol charges right for Hakuya and swings a fist right for his face in frustration. "Gedo PUNK!!" she cries, though a swift smirk suddenly crosses over her lips.

That's a spicy meatball. Or, throw, anyway. Hideo impacts with the ground, and Hakuya dances backwards a bit, both to reclaim balance and to put some space between the prone teacher and himself. Being someone who uses a lot of throwing maneuvers, he's quite aware that people don't always need to be standing up in order to strike back. He watches carefully, then, as the teacher rises, walks over to him, and then lifts a hand. Bringing up his arms, he intends to block... and... uh, nothing comes for him to block. He stays immobile for a second or two, then blinks, and lowers his arms - just a bit. And then is surprised as hell when Hideo claps that hand down on his shoulder. "Huh?!" He asks, and blinks. Then blinks again. And blinks some more. Was he just complimented? What? What's going on?! As Hideo walks off, Hakuya is left to more or less stare after the teacher in a stupefied state, kinda going 'What?' with every ounce of his being.
At least, then, he's given some direction, in the form of a punch from Marisol. More blinking ensues, but as he hadn't dropped his guard, yet, he moves more or less out of pure reflex in order to react to the punch. His bandage-wrapped arms come up (since they were already up anyway!) and he lets the fist impact on his forearms, which is probably a lot less painful than getting slugged in the face! Rather than immediately counter attacking, however, he simply remains guarded, looking at Marisol. "We're not opponents!" he tries. It's not a very convincing argument, but...

That's it? Their done? But Luc was just starting to get riled up, too. That's no good at all. It's no good when the boy's berserker rage starts to boil in his blood and his only discernable outlet is... well, walking off, well before Luc can muster up an assault to stop him. The German is left to stare almost dumbly at the retreating Hideo, before his concentration shifts -- not to Marisol, but to Hakuya, replaying in his head the words that Hideo said to him, and then to the other two. He pauses. He scratches his head. And then, Luc frowns deeply.
"... hmph," The young German student grunts out as he cracks his knuckles, stretching out either arm, "What's so special about you?" He questions after a moment to his Gedo 'teammate.' Apparently seeing the young man power through a fireball wasn't enough, because -- hell, Luc would have done that too. He seems more curious than irate, unlike his partner Marisol.
Which is why for almost for entirely different reasons does the German attack Hakuya scant moments after his brief moments after the boy defelcts Marisol's attack. He sweeps in, spinning around rapidly to plant a lightning-fast, testing spinkick to the side of the Gedo boy's head -- in a testing manner, rather than a full-blown assault. "SHOW ME!!"

Regardless of whether or not he's ready, Marisol comes plugging forward, swinging a fist in response. As useless as the attack may be, the fiery redhead lashes out, causing the young Gedoite to look...rather confused. We're not opponents, he insists, much to the delight of the Pacific High girl. Her response comes by way of a swift, rather wolfish smirk.

"We are now," she states, giving herself some room, allowing Luc to make his spinkick. Marisol, on the other hand, drops her fist to her side, yellow energy pooling up before she suddenly lashes out, to kick Hakuya at the small of his back with an aggressive heel. "So GET OVER IT, you WHINING GEDO LOSER!"

COMBATSYS: Hakuya endures Luc's Light Kick.

Poor Hakuya. He's not in particularly good shape after plowing through that fireball, and now he's getting picked on by Pacific High people. Though Marisol seems real keen on calling him a 'Gedo Loser,' there's yet been a case where they've proven themselves any better. Not that Hakuya would point that out! But Tenma might. ...Though Tenma isn't here, sadly, to back him up. So he'll just have to deal with it! As the German teen lashes out with his foot, Hakuya simply takes it, and rolls with it, his body twisting around to the direction that the German applies his force, leaving Marisol's foot to get more or less a glancing blow on his back, and also putting her in prime positioning to get her leg grabbed, and her entire body jerked up and over the Suigetsu heir, the hoodie-wearing teen twisting his body once again to apply his own kick to the redhead's torso, kicking her down all the harder into the floor.

It seems Hakuya is intent on taking Luc's blow like a man and moving with the momentum the German provides. Yet, while usually Luc would be unconcerned about this, what he IS concerned about is what the young man uses that momentum to do. Grasping Marisol's leg, Hakuya digs an unpleasant looking kick into the Pacific student's back, causing Luc's eyes to narrow sharply, his body tensing. Is he concerned over Marisol's safety? Perhaps trying to protect her?
"I said SHOW /ME/, you THICK-HEADED ASSHOLE!"
--It seems Luc is more concerned with the fact that Hakuya is attacking MARISOL and not HIM rather than the physical well-being of his teammate. Regardless, Luc comes crashing in only a moment after Hakuya is done dealing with the half-Spaniard, rushing in like a blur with intent to grab the young man by the front of his outfit before Luc rears his head back... and plows it straight into Hakuya's skull. "COME ON!"

Such seems to be poor Hakuya's fate here, but none of that - none - concerns the "spirited" redhead. She's angry that she'd get punished for actually doing good, while the likes of Hakuya spent most of his fight doing little to nothing. What's worse, he decided to hide off to the side and just stand there looking like a lost puppy. Of course she's mad!

And even MORE upset at the fact the last time there was a scuffle between "her people" and his friend he got out of it - just barely. So it leads her to kick at him, even as he rolls. ..and suddenly grabs her, lifts her and slams her against the ground by way of a kick. It knocks the air out of her lungs as she goes rolling back, but it doesn't STOP her. Instead, she clambers to her feet and rushes forward, eyes narrowed fiercely before she kneels near his feet and suddenly punches that stage, causing the earth to explode with chi and chunks of wood, to blast him into the sky rather painfully...along with Luc.

She really doesn't seem to like him. Or his friend.

COMBATSYS: Hakuya endures Marisol's Shoot the Moon.

Some things just don't go your way. Though he had -intended- on just blowing through Marisol's attack (which did, indeed, work), Luc's headbutt is far too meaty. The shower of debris slaps into him, but if Hakuya feels it, he gives little sign. He's all intent on doing... something. But apparently it involves ducking low, and all that does is give Luc a bit more room to get speed and leverage, and then -bam-. Whatever Hakuya is doing, he's denied utterly, and is sent sprawling backwards, doing a couple of flips and rolls, before he crashes up against the wall, and sags like a sack of potatos. Ow. He might say something, but he's both a bit dazed and a bit winded, and thus if he says anything, it comes out more as a blurble. Poor Hakuya.

COMBATSYS: Marisol successfully hits Luc with Shoot the Moon.

WHAM! Whatever Hakuya had been planning goes to the wayside as Luc's skull simply overpowers all his plans with unbelievably thick might. Straight through the crash of chi and debris that engulfs them, Luc simply powers through it, and headbutts the other man so hard that he's sent toppling. While normally Marisol's blow would be enough to send him flying, the resulting explosion of chi is weathered simply due to the fact that he was in the midst of headbutting the everloving CRAP out of Hakuya.
The chi burns, rubble crashing into his body before the maelstrom dies down, leaving burnt and charred flesh and the remnants of what was likely Luc's jacket. Yet despite the damage, Luc doesn't seem to notice. Instead, he stares pointedly at where Hakuya landed, looking disappointed and irritated. "... What the hell? You're down already? You didn't show me ANYTHING." But Luc decides not to stand around trading words with the Gedo boy, who is probably not even entirely there at the moment. Instead, he turns sharply on his heel, and approaches Marisol, heading towards the exit...
... but not before lashing out to smack Marisol over the side of the head.
"I liked that jacket, you jackass."

Though Hakuya takes the hit like a man, there is no real, obvious respect for him there as she kneels, blasting the Gedo student with that chi. Instead, she just continues to smirk broadly, eyes wide as chunks of wood slap against both him, as well as her fellow classmate. She just doesn't seem to care for his well-being, it seems. Maybe. Right now, she's just upset, and Luc just happened to make a bad, tactical error. That's all.

Either way, as the blast dissipates, it becomes obvious poor Hakuya is out cold. Frowning harshly, the girl peers down at the young man before she lifts her chin, eyes snapping shut with a loud "hmph." Gracefully, the redhead turns her back, pivoting harshly on her heel before she thrusts her hands into the depths of her pocket. As far as she can tell, they're even now.

That doesn't mean she'll refrain from trying to beat up the Gedo boy, though. Dramatics are cut short with a sudden smack upside her head, however, causing the girl to reel forwards before she catches herself. Frowning harshly, she shoots her glare up and toward him. "You dick!" she cries, stomping after him as he leaves for the nearest available exit. "Who cares about your retarded jacket? Maybe it'll encourage you to wear the school UNIFORM sometime, huh??"

Poor Hakuya seems to be left for dead. Or whatever SNF staffer will come to his aid.

COMBATSYS: Marisol takes no action.
