Description: Just when you thought a three-way battle between the quickest fighters on the planet couldn't get any faster... well, throw a schoolgirl into the mix! (Winner: Chizuru)
Howard Arena, where the main event of the popular Saturday Night Fights show takes place. And, like most main event fights, the place was packed with people. Perhaps needless to say, Howard Arena was very noisy today. Sitting upon the edge of the arena, Chun-Li had arrived early today, and was taking the time before the match to meditate admist the noise, evidently. It was evident due to the stance she was sitting in, with crossed legs, careful breaths, and closed eyes.
She was also dressed in her favorite outfit today, as well. The modified qipao dress with extra poofy shoulders that she favored, her hair done up into twin buns, covered with little covers and tied with long white ribbons, and not to mention, her boots.
Unlike Chun-Li, Kurow rarely meditates before a match; he tends to think it actually -harms- his awareness of a situation rather than helps it, which is perhaps very telling about the way he operates. He's come in his usual 'fighting' outfit, fishnet shoulders and all; if nothing else, it's a fairly /mobile/ outfit.
All he does to 'get ready' before the match is quickly stretch out his hands a little, doing a few quick flexibility exercises with his fingers and arms -- after all, as a clawfighter, these things are essential parts of his style. It'd be like a boxer not doing a few warmup jabs. He doesn't spend too much time on this, though, taking his place nad getting ready for the coming battle.
Chizuru, as usual, does not arrive early. However, as usual, she also does not arrive late; Chizuru is right on time and ready to go right when she is supposed to be, and she does not need to meditate to prepare herself. Her preparation was long over by the time she actually showed up.
She simply marches in, dressed in her good outfit - the modified chihaya with the big swoopy sleeves and the tighter-fitting pants. It also has big shoulderpads, and she approves of Chun-Li's when she glances over them in passing. Because of her lack of preparation time, she has extra time to actually look from the fighting area up to the audience. It covers her minor nervousness from not knowing the other fighters well.

The other advantage with having no preparations is that you can wait patiently for the signal to begin.
When it comes, Chizuru is already ready - however, she doesn't actually do anything. She hangs back instead at the side of the arena, letting one of the other fighters take the initiative if so inclined; she tends to be a careful combatant and today is no exception. There is also always the possibility that they go after each other.
More importantly, it lets her get the measure of the opposition and feel them out. She hates going in blind.

When the signal comes, Kurow actually takes a step /back/, rather than a step forward; for all that he doesn't value /meditation/, he certainly does value careful planning. He glances between the women who'd be his opponents in tonight's fight, trying to get a good sense of them, and also to think back to the previous Saturday Night Fights they'd been in. The youth does spend a little time studying beforehand, after all -- it's a good way to keep from getting overwhelmed unexpectedly.

Yurika was no doubt one of the few people within the Howard Arena whom simply just did not see the appeal of the Saturday Day Night franchise in it's entirety. And yet it seems week in and week out her younger brother is involved in the event, though in its end it could be just him getting an opportunity to fight those whom were generally more difficult to find.
Really, some of the theme's were downright adorable, but heaven forbid the prissy musician herself get caught up in something like that. But there she is today, intent on somehow sitting through her brothers match, surrounded by loud mouthed fangirl/boys. She brought plenty of asprin.
It wasn't quite the shout to begin that roused Chun-Li from her meditations, but the presence of the other fighters. Peeking open one eye at first, Chun-Li then opens both after a rapid blink or two, the woman lifting up a hand in greeting even as the signal to fight is given. "Hello!" she says, unfolding her legs and leaping up to her feet in the same, fluid motion. A moment or two is taken to check how her belt was adjusted, Chun-Li then lifting up her hands, fingers clenching into tight fists.
A smile dances across her lips, and she looks across the way towards Kurow first, then Chizuru. "Well, let's get started!" she says, her body tensing. There is a moments pause, and then she bursts into a run towards Chizuru, Chun-Li executing a powerful forward flip that would take her up and above the head of the other woman. At the apex of the flip, however, hopefully when she was still right above Ms. Kagura's head, her foot would stomp downwards towards Chizuru's head.

Chun-Li is faster than Chizuru thought she was, at first, and the odd arcing flip kick catches her by surprise. Chizuru moves forwards to let Chun-Li land behind her - and only manages to take a foot to the back of the head instead of the top instead, sending her rolling forward.
Rising up slightly further along, CHizuru looks between Kurow and Chun-Li momentarily before simply deciding to deal with both at once. She shimmers for a moment, and then is abruptly in two places at once; one of the Chizurus is leaping forward toward Chun-Li in a downward strike with both hands, while the other is dashing toward Kurow. It is impossible to keep them apart...at least, until the figure by Chun-Li starts to flicker and vanish.
Kurow apparently has not noticed that Yurika is out there cheering for him, perhaps out of a myopic focus on the fight; this focus -- however ill it may bode for his relationship with his sister -- is rewarded as he spots the figure by Chun-Li beginning to flicker as the other one dashes toward him. This, at least, tells him which one is most likely the real one, barring /extremely/ bizarre trickery -- and gives him a chance to strike.
With a low, sudden dash, Kurow slashes his claws upward toward Chizuru's face, then goes in for two more slashes, continuing his advance. The first is a low, wide cut aimed at her midriff, and the third and final strike is a vicious downward strike, again aimed at about stomach height. It's a deceptively conservative opening move, one that lets him either do some moderately nasty damage or force the Yata heir a fair distance back away from him.

That was... unusual, to say the least. Landing from her flip, Chun-Li whirls around, left hand held in both a fist and close to her body, whilst her right hand was held out and flat, judo chop style. Whether or not the flickering Chizuru by her was the real one or not, Chun-Li thought it prudent not to let the Chizuru have what it wanted. So, she leaps to the side, ribbons and flaps of her dress flowing with that motion, the whatever-it-was passing harmlessly by where she once was.
Biting down upon her lip, she turns her gaze from Chizuru, towards Kurow. "Kurow!" she shouts, doing the kid the favor of warning him first. Whether or not he acknowledges that, up comes Chun-Li, rushing towards his side. Hands lashing out, she tries to take ahold of him by the arm, yank him to herself... and then pick him bodily off of the ground and slam him down unto the stone floor of the arena.

Kurow's blows actually do both of the things he was hoping for. Chizuru did not stop running - she ran right into the first slash, in fact, which causes her to be knocked backwards, something that the other two follow-up slashes only encourage her to do more.
Chizuru does not seem too badly hurt yet, though. She's still certainly in fighting condition, which is about as much as she can hope for so far. Once again, she performs one of those strange chi-powered maneuvers; an image flickers into existance and runs forward, performing a rising sweep of her hand to crack Kurow's chin. It vanishes shortly thereafter, its job complete.

Kurow actually leaps over Chun-Li's grab, but he does so /forward/ toward Chizuru -- a mistake he regrets moments later, when the mirror-woman's image catches him across the breastbone and knocks him back a little. It's not as bad as taking it on the chin, but that doesn't change the fact that it hurts like -- well, like being punched in the breastbone.
Electing to switch targets, Kurow whirls around toward Chun-Li with a little smirk. "Why hello," he says, taking three quick steps forward; he then suddenly jabs out with those claws, going for a hard, fast strike at the Chinese woman's gut before taking a quick step back -- if she /lets/ him, of course.

Her grab failed, Chun-Li opens her mouth to respond to Kurow... at least before she notices his swift counterattack, her mouth closing firmly once again as she takes a step back. That backwards step wouldn't save her from claws in her gut, however, and she could swiftly see that. Whipping her hand around, she snatches Kurow's wrist and tries to guide it past her side, ~hopefully~ long enough for her to step out of the way... but fate intervened again. Guided out of the way of her gut, the claws rake along the side of the Strongest Woman in the World, her lips pursing tightly against the sting of the cuts.
But would she let Kurow hop backwards? She certainly didn't intend to. Dropping to the floor just then, she whirls around on the ground, one of her strong legs whipping out and trying to catch Kurow along his legs, intent on knocking them out from beneath him.
Since Sada doesn't have a driver, she's a little late getting in. She can, however, easily spot Yurika in the crowd and aims towards her. She has seen the point of SNF and is proud of her participation! One day she'll buy a car herself, especially now that she has the bux.
%"Hello!" she tells Yurika once she gets close by; "do you mind if I sit with you?" After that she looks towards where - oh crap, Chun Li's kicking at Kurow?
Chizuru keeps her distance, now, stepping away and keeping her hands up, ready to block or evade.
Nothing comes for her to do so, however. To be honest, Chizuru is rather glad for the break; she needed it. Her hands lower just slightly so that she has a better view of the situation, and she watches, cooling back down from her initial exertion.

As Kurow sees the kick coming, he tries to rush /into/ it, but the kick catches him differently than he'd expected; it only catches one of his legs rather than both, which means he's improperly braced and ends up on the ground. "Nngh..." he groans, already disappointed. Perhaps he should've run from Igniz yesterday; perhaps it would've put him in better condition for today. However, 'should've' doesn't really enter into Kurow's thought process in any /seriousness/.
As such, he just picks himself up off the ground, and -- after a little deliberation on how to go about the situation -- decides to go in for a quick strike while (he suspects) Chun-Li's guard is down. Rolling forward, Kurow springs up at Chun-Li, aiming his claws for her midsection...

It's a bit of a shame, in an event like this, Yurika can't even have a cup of tea to relax. All there seems to be is beer, soda, popcorn and hot dogs, and it's just.. Sigh. She'll just have to be very conservative with her five dollar bottle of water. At least the match wasn't boring though, in fact it took a moment but she suddenly remembered that Chun-Li was one of the fighters Hinako had told her about. Sada gets her attention suddenly, the musician quickly turning hr head toward her fellow student, and then gives a small smile of recognition, "Good day to you, Miss Asai.. Ah, please do." and she gestures to the empty seat beside her.
She had already felt the touch of those claws already. Chun-Li wasn't too eager to feel that again. What Kurow didn't take into account was how... fluid and fast Chun-Li could be, likely. As the ducking kick strikes, the Chinese woman allows that kick to follow through as she falls more heavily upon her side, using the spin of the kick to garner interia so that she could swing herself up unto her feet, leaping upwards and landing in a ready stance.
Still, Kurow's attack was fast. Chun-Li was just faster in throwing herself to the side, hitting the ground in an awkward roll, and rolling back into a crouch, raising herself back to a stand tensely soon after. Acknowledging Kurow with a nod of her head, Chun-Li turns her attentions back towards Ms. Kagura. A happy smile, in spite of the focused look in her eyes, springs up unto her lips, and then she is off into action, snapping up a foot to try to deliver a sharp, almost jablike kick to the midsection of the woman.

Chizuru takes the fast kick to the gut with a good deal more force than she was hoping to take it with, although this time it does not knock her back or down; she does take a step back to absorb the momentum, but that's different than a launch, after all.
Although Chizuru was not able to turn the blow into an advantage, she can avoid having it become a liability. Taking advantage of the close range, Chizuru reaches forward with her hand, delivering a strong palm thrust toward Chun-Li's torso - specifically, toward the navel and the chakra point there.
Kurow gets a reprieve, at least, but his fierce strike doesn't work out; this prompts him to decide to change tactics completely, hanging back from the action entirely. For now, he watches Chizuru and Chun-Li trade blows, trying to work out the flaws in their strategies that way, taking several steps back from the battle and just letting things go as they will, without his interference.

Poor, fragile Yurika! Sada sits down without any particular pre-amble, although she does say, "Thank you!" in a rather sweet tone to the gothloli. Her attention then goes back out towards the fighters. Just in time to see - oh!
They're busy, Sada thinks, and so she shouts with her unusually deep and thus resonant voice, "Get them, Kurow!"
A second too late, or Chizuru was a second too fast. It was a mistake that Chun-Li would chide herself for later. As Chizuru's hand hammers forward towards her, Chun-Li had already begun to duck, eyes flicking downwards to watch the onset of that hand... so she gets a lovely view of when it strikes her belly proper, the blow strikes her far harder than she expected, the air knocked out of her lungs as she stumbles backwards, stomping her left boot back to the ground to anchor herself.
"...ouch!" she says after the second it takes to regain her breath, Chun-Li flashing Chizuru a smile as she tries to take another step away from the woman, bringing her hands up before herself in a defensive stance.
Chizuru returns to her normal combat stance once the blow is completed, right hand raised high and left low at her side. She returns the flashed smile quickly and briefly; she has nothing against Chun-Li, after all. It's just the luck of the draw. She is more worried about Kurow...but he's staying off to the side, and Chun-Li is a threat now. She just will have to not exhaust herself on the first target.
Stepping forward, Chizuru brings her left leg around in a hooking motion, trying to sweep Chun-Li off her feet. It isn't a strike; all she does is try to get her ankle behind Chun-Li's leg and yank. She is more watching Kurow than Chun-Li, however.
OK, /now/ Kurow's ready to come in -- and of course, like all self-respecting archvillains, he goes for the most embattled target, in this case Chun-Li. With a quick bolt forward, Kurow thinks back, briefly, to yesterday's battle -- how can he use those tactics here?
The idea comes to him when he reflects on just what actually /worked/ yesterday. Leaping forward, Kurow tries to sink his claws into them, then redirects his momentum such that he'll spin around Chun-Li's entire body twice, eventually -- if she doesn't knock him off or shake him off -- ending up behind her. From there, he'll kick her down at the ground, possibly even at the same time Chizuru yanks with her leg.

Well, things went from reasonably good, to really very terrible, all in a moment. Focused as she was upon Chizuru, she wasn't quite expecting Kurow to lunge at her ~quite~ like that, so it actually worked out pretty good for the both of them. As Chizuru steps forward, Chun-Li brings up her hands, sensing Kurow at the very last minute, she turns her attentions that way... to feel those claws of his upon her body. She tries to react, really, she does, but she is not able to do so in any productive manner, her jerking back and forth, and trying ineffectually to get her arms in the way of the cuts doing her absolutely no good whatsoever. To add insult to injury, Chizuru does a rather good job of pulling her leg out from under herself.
But even as Chun-Li falls, her mind was on how she could turn this to her advantage. Even as she falls, one may notice the way she closes her eyes, cupping her hands in front of herself as a diffuse blue glow begins to surround her palms. The *CRACK* of her back and head striking the stone floor sounds through her mind, but she was prepared for that, and had the mental focus to thrust her hands forward, and shout, braced by the ground itself... "KIKOU'KEN!" And as her hands thrust forward, the ball of fiery blue chi shoots off towards Kurow, who, in Chun-Li's mind, should be off-balance or guard or something right about now, what with how soon she launched her counterassault.
Chizuru steps back after her foot-hooking technique at about the same time Kurow's blow hits home. She lets them beat on each other for a few moments, watching the battle unfold; it gives her an opportunity to catch her breath, although most of her attention is on watching how the two other fast fighters move rather than recovering.

Sada doesn't leap to her feet, but she does raise a paper fan that she'd brought with her. (They're practically littering the floor in Seijyun.) She snaps it open and waves it back and forth vigorously as Kurow takes a step back to catch his breath, which is of course completely different from other people taking breaks in the middle of combat. She is tactically measured; Kurow is conserving his strength; they slack off and try to hide.
"Don't give up!!" she cries, trying to remember better cheers all the while.
Yurika smiles patiently to Sada.. It shouldn't be any suprise to her that she's already getting into the match, but her lips curl into a deep frown once her schoolmate proceeds to cheer for Kurow.
Well.. She wasn't one to just sit there and be outdone like that, and so she raises her gloved hands to her mouth, takes in a small breath and.......
Nothing comes out. Ah yes, she'd forgotten that boisterous cheering wasn't exactly her forte. Maybe she should just accidentally push Sada down the stairs instead.
... No, that'd probably be too harsh.
One would think that this would be a good time for a break herself. Chun-Li wasn't quite content to sit down and take a moment for herself. Leaping up from the ground unto her feet proper, she slides her tongue over her dry lips to wet them, and looks up towards Kurow. "There aren't a great many your age as strong as you. Do you go to school?" she asks, before turning towards Chizuru, her entire, femininely muscled body tensing as a look of supreme focus sets itself unto her face.
Drawing in a slow breath, she releases it suddenly in a shout, springing forward towards Chizuru as she does so. Those in the audience, and perhaps Chizuru herself, may or may not recognize the signature lightning kick that the Strongest Woman in the World is so well-known for, but unless Chizuru does something, she would certainly feel it. Head, chest, gut, over and over and over again, should Chun-Li be able to strike her. And after but a few seconds of that, she would stomp her leg to the arena floor, and repeat those motions with her other leg. Finally, she would end with a powerful, uppercut-like kick right to the underside of Chizuru's chin, Chun-Li nearly doing vertical splits to pull that manuever off.

The blows leveled at Chizuru strike home despite her attempts to block them, or tangle the kicking leg in her enormous sleeves (see, they do serve a purpose). She manages to take some of them on her arms, but the vast majority of them strike her torso solidly, with the final hit sending her upward into the air - until, thanks to your friend and mine, gravity, she reverses and lands on her back with a thud.
She gets back up slightly less quickly than before, and thanks to having had some distance forcibly put between her and everyone else, stays where she is. Like Kurow before her, she catches her breath, having had all the air knocked out of her between the kicks and the landing.

As Chizuru gets hit -- and quite painfully, at that -- Kurow decides that now would be a /very/ good time to advance in. Looking between his two choices of target, the kicking queen or the Yata heiress, he decides that the best thing he can do is advance on the less hurt of the two. It's still a tricky proposition just which to choose, since they both seem pretty hurt... but Chizuru looks hurt /and/ winded, which is a bonus.
Raising one clawed hand high, Kurow jumps forward at Chizuru, deciding to throw away the pretenses of 'combo fighting' for one brief moment and go for a single, nasty strike at her throat. Both claws thrust forward simultaneously the second Kurow lands, as he makes a dangerous choice in committing to the strike.
Sada is probably bouncy enough to make it all the way to the arena floor, Yurika. It'd be pretty easy to shove her over if you put your back into it. Maybe that will silence her. Maybe that will silence her -forever-.
"Go!!" Sada cries out as Kurow lunges towards Chizuru, waving the fan vigorously in front of her. It may be disturbing Yurika's bangs by this point.
And for all the resting and so forth all of the others have been doing, Chun-Li decides she deserves a share. And so, Chun-Li simply falls into a sit resembeling a cross-legged one, with her right leg laying directly atop her left. Chizuru leans back when Kurow comes at her. Way back - so far that her upper body is almost parallel to the floor. This lets the brutal claw thrust go over her body, leaving her unarmed and Kurow extended further than he probably wants to be.
That's when Chizuru strikes. She takes an awkward step to the side, getting behind Kurow, and then rises - at the same time an image continues to rise in a swirling, twisting uppercut similar to the chi-imbued ones favoured by Kyo and Iori. Turning to Chun-Li, he leaps up into the air, positioning himself directly over her; he comes to a sudden chi-aided stop and descends toward the woman, claws-first, grinning. About halfway through the fall, he yells, with confidence, "KYOUJUU REPPA!"

As Kurow's claws hit Chun-Li, he uses them to swap positions with her, placing her above him -- and what a bad position /that/ is right now, what with the dozens of claw-like marks of chi that would be spread out across yards in a 'conventional' use of the technique all strike at once in this alternate method. Kurow slides out from beneath the temporarily-juggled Chun-Li, and knocks her out of the assault with a sudden, hard kick, letting her fly.
Hmmn.. Forever would be a very long time, though. That doesn't seem very fair either! Yurika will just have to remain patient or be silent with her annoyance or both for the time being, though even with her eyes closed, the wild flapping of the fan just makes it increasingly more difficult to tolerate her schoolmate. But she won't blow a gasket, not today, but on the other hand she will ask, looking to the other student, "Sada I had no idea you were such a big fan of Kurow.. I would have thought Chun-Li would have been the fan favorite here."
As odd it as it may seemed, crouching like she was wasn't as awkward a position to get out of as it may have seemed. Indeed, when it becomes evident that Kurow is attacking her, it takes Chun-Li the fraction of a second to unfold her legs, and leap up to her feet, another fraction of a second more to swing her hands up, another half-second to try to step away, hands rising to try to take ahold of Kurow's forearms...
Added up, they were far too slow. Each and every portion of Kurow's strikes strike true, Chun-Li left staggering after the many slashes, landing flat on the ground after the assault. In fact, she stays an overlong time upon the ground then. Did Kurow defeat Chun-Li?!
Not quite. Pulling herself to her feet, and breathing heavily, blood staining her beautiful (to her, at least) qipao, Chun-Li gives her head a shake as if to clear it, her eyes focusing upon Kurow. She would have to keep a closer eye on him. For now, however... it is to Chizuru that Chun-Li advances, Chun-Li lunging forward and using a rarity of sorts... a punch, straight to the other woman's breastbone.
"Oh," Sada says, looking at Yurika. "Didn't you know?"
She doesn't elaborate, instead leaning forwards to cry out, "Get her! Get her!" She really IS biased! Although, she reflects inwardly, Chun-li's pretty good for a Chinese fighter, and in another situation she might even be supporting her. Say, if she was fighting an American.

Punching Chizuru usually works reasonably well - except when she gets out of the way, such as right now. The evasion is more impressive than most of hers; Chizuru literally leaps, not even leaving an image behind as a distraction, and arcs right over Chun-Li to land behind her.
Chizuru considers for a split second - Chun-Li is the worse threat in this fight, but Kurow...she has a feeling that he'd be more of a threat outside it than Chun-Li ever would. That means that she should defeat Chun first to give her a chance to watch. The deliberation is very brief, and ends in a sweeping strike delivered toward Chun-Li, hopefully before she has enough time to turn all the way around.
Between the borderline-annihilated Chun-Li and the healthy but hurting Chizuru, Kurow decides that it's in his best interests to catch Chizuru while she's off her guard a little. Circling around behind the Watcher, Kurow rears a hand back; he has nothing to /lose/ and everything to gain, so he may as well go all-out with his strike. In a somewhat more haphazard, lagged attempt at what he tried before with Chun-Li, he tries to slip just under her guard with his claws and then give her a shocking, bladed chi surprise once he sinks them in.

Chun-Li hadn't had the chance to turn all the way around just yet. Still, as if sensing the incoming blow, she twists away, the sweeping strike hitting nothing but air. Flowing from that twist into a stance right beside Chizuru, she lifts her foot up, hoping to apply it to Chizuru's face in a kick. It wouldn't stop there if it were successful, however. Gaining speed until her feet move too quickly for the average eye, she delivers kick after kick to head, torso, and gut, kicking again and again as she releases a cry of, "YAYAYAYA!"

Leaping worked well before. Chizuru is willing to do it again as long as it keeps working; her only wish is that Chun-Li had thus accidentally kicked Kurow. Unfortunately, that is not to be.
Chizuru lands behind Chun-Li, flickering briefly before an image steps out from her. This one seems more solid, or at least longer-lasting; it goes after the agile Strongest Woman in the World with a flurry of punches and sweeping arm strikes for almost ten seconds before fading and vanishing.
Chizuru is not idle during this time, either. She assists the image with the occasional kick, especially low, where the clone generally does not strike.
Yurika stares at Sada for a moment, expecting her to follow up on whatever thought she was having at that moment. At first the musician looks terribly confused, but then quite predictably she assumes the immediet worst. Her expression souring further, Yurika slumps rather unladylike into her chair, her arms crossed and.. She pouts. And she pouts because even if though there's a five percent chance whatever insane scenario that's going on her head is actually true, she'd never had to deal with such thoughts in her life! God.. What if it *is* true? But.. But Kurow wouldn't lie to her!
Kurow continues to focus on Chizuru rather than leaving himself open in the name of taking down a far more hurt fighter and then getting annihilated himself; he thinks he can handle Chun-Li -- /if/ they take down Chizuru first. And right now that feels like a big 'if'. As such, he decides to go with a somewhat unorthodox approach; pulling his flute out of his pants pocket, he leaps in toward the (evidently very agile) possessor of the Third Treasure, and gives it a quick, vicious swing for her head.

Kasugano had been here since the start of the fight. No, really. But with the lines to the concession stands egregiously long, she just couldn't get back here in time! She had caught some of the fight, though, but was distracted by the crazy girl shouting for Chun-Li to go down. WTF!
Accordingly, the Most Awesome Fan Of The Strongest Woman In The World is standing behind Sada and Yurika, before long, with a jumbo-sized bucket of popcorn in one arm, a "#1!" hand in the other, and a shout of "GO GET 'EM, CHUN-LI!!!" in her mouth. Out of her mouth. Whatever!
Chun-Li fans represent!
"Kurow! Kurow!" Sada cries out, not knowing that Yurika's imagining a situation in which she's secretly an alien princess from a race who were known as 'demons' on earth, here in order to corrupt and control the mind of Kurow Kirishima in order to facilitate their plans to lay eggs into the thoraces of the students of Japan, thus taking control of the future of Japan! But that's only the beginning of their plot...
Sada also waves her fan more, enthusiastically.
Chun-Li was beat up, and fairly badly. She was also getting really very tired. Still, when Chizuru lands behind her, Chun-Li doesn't take the chance at whirling around, no. She leaps forward with a fairly powerful forward leap, nearly skipping off of the ground as she lands and kicks into another leap. It is during that leap that she whirls around, her demeanor suggesting the tiredness she felt, but her eyes? Very focused.
Casting a brief glance towards Kurow, she comes much to the same conclusion the Justice High guy does, the woman taking a deep breath before launching into action again. This time, she was pacing herself. She was hoping to get close enough to snatch Chizuru by one of those lovely poofy shoulderpads, lift her up a bit... and then slam her to the ground, leaning forward to add a little oomph to the process.

Chizuru ducks down and rolls forward, rather abruptly, a rather inelegant action. It serves her in good stead anyway; she did it at just the right time for the flute to whistle past her back, and Chun-Li fails to get a good grip on her.
She comes up near Kurow, not Chun-Li, and takes advantage of the location to deliver a fast arm sweep as she rises; it's as much to drive him back a little and give her room to get up and move around as actually hit him, although she will not complain if the swing does manage to connect.

The punch catches Kurow off-guard, and knocks him back away from Chizuru; he doesn't aggress on her, though, instead electing to turn, suddenly, and -- with a series of quick motions -- end the fight roughly the way he started it...
... but aimed at Chun-Li. Leaping up at her, he goes for a quick, wide slash, then a hard vertical slash, then -- in a decision that costs him the fight -- a slash that passes by Chun-Li's side, and takes him squarely out of the main ring.

Yurika is just sitting there in her chair.. Really at this point what else could she really say? She went from having a moderatly decent time to a miserable time as Sada implants insane plots into her mind and if that weren't enough, Sakura's sudden shout makes her jump from her seat as well, turning to stare wide eyed at the schoolgirl with an offended huff, "Ah!" She looks like she wants to say something but instead she just stands up, sets her hands on her hips and declares, "Well I *never*!"
Actually it was just then that she did recognize the girl to be Sakura, but at this point it really didn't matter. She was now going to go to the ladies room and go take about five of these tylanol, brushing by Sada to do so, and heavily stomps her feet on the way up the stairs.

Five tylenol? That sounds like a bit of an =addiction= there. ... Not like Sakura doesn't have her own addictions. She smiles mildly back at Yurika -- she's offended? How cute! Lifting the popcorn bucket up so she can snarf a few kernels, the Fighting Fangirl waves her foam #1! finger in the air to show her support to Chun-Li. Not knowing Sada, she has no reason to bother her in any =other= way, at least!
Sada waves her paper fan threateningly at Sakura as she -
Looks back at the fight to see Kurow and Chun-Li slam into each other, viciously. She leans forwards to let the flustered young Yurika out, and looks momentarily non-plussed at the outcome.
Chizuru seems rather surprised to be left alone there at the end, but hey, it's a victory.
She waits exactly five seconds, long enough for the judges to call it, and then goes to help Chun-Li up. After she's up, then to Kurow - provided he hasn't gotten up on his own in any case.
Kasugano, for her part, looks a bit plussed! "... Gnngh! Poor Chun-Li... Oh well, at least that Kurow jerk didn't win." And with that, she takes her popcorn bucket and her foam #1! finger and starts heading for the stairs. Good thing Tsukushi's recording this!
Kurow, meanwhile, does not seem to be getting up. He's /conscious/, but that's the extent of the mercies he's offered -- he's in an awkward position, out of the ring, and out of the fight. That's the downside of raised slate; when you fall off it, it /really/ sucks.
Something twists in Sada's mind. Maybe it's a tweak of something that got put in there, or maybe it's just her hot blood. She stands up from her seat, tugging her 'instrument case' out from underneath the chair. She sets it where Yurika sits and opens it, pulling the kusarigama out of it, and grasps it with both hands before /vaulting/ over the front of the seats!
She lands in a crouch, and straightens up, running past Kurow with a rustle of schoolgirl skirts and a shouted "yaaaah" that is perhaps most unladylike. She then clambers up the side of the ring!
This has the misfortune of telegraphing her approach. Hopefully, Chizuru will not be enraged.

Kurow watches Sada leap over the seats and into the ring with a certain amount of surprise, at first, then -- though he chokes it down -- an almost perverse glee. She's really doing it, she thinks -- she's going entirely around the established order of things, and for what? For -- his loss, apparently. It's not even a particularly catastrophic loss, like the one he intervened in.
He settles for a smile.
"I am Sada Asai!" the (probably crazy) girl says, proudly. Her eyes are narrowed and her lips are pursed, almost like some sort of mask of samurai-style anger. "I won't let your victory come from standing aside and refusing to battle!"
She points at Chizuru with the glittering metal of the kama. "It's not about who wins in the Saturday Night Fight! It's about honor - honor, and -"
Where was I going with that? Sada thinks. The expression crosses her face very clearly; she looks like she bit into a lemon.
"Yaah!" she cries, stepping forwards and flinging the weighted end of the kusarigama at Chizuru's frail, easily-crushed legs!
This will probably not end well.

Chizuru was looking for one particular thing. She didn't find it, which is a slight relief; that the Orochi-blooded are not involved is good, but that doesn't mean any number of other things are not, things that she's never seen before and doesn't know how to recognize this quickly.
Once again, Chizuru does nothing but get out of the way, this time by jumping over the chain and landing lightly, despite the soreness in her body, several feet away from where she started. "No, I don't. I don't know who you are, besides your name. Why are you doing this?" She sounds calming, trying to soothe Sada with her voice. "What does it prove?"

Sada comes to a halt now, spinning the weapon at her side and staring at Chizuru. She is angry, but it's irrational anger. Chizuru did not actually do anything to bother her deeply.
Why AM I doing this? she asks herself, before a couple of answers present themselves: He did it for me; glory; because I can.
"To show you that - that we can't be defeated by standing by and letting us annihilate each other!" Yes, apparently Chun Li is one of 'us', perhaps she goes to Gorin High. "You shouldn't hold back with your strength!"
She advances, falling (blessedly?) silent, slinging the weapon up and around her head as if it were an oversized flail. She tries to bring it down towards Chizuru while adjusting her grip on the kama, possibly waiting for Chizuru to show the opening in her style!
Sada may be waiting for a while.

Chizuru is not showing any openings because she's barely using her style. She has made no chi images, has not tried to seal anything - she's just being generally evasive.
She lets the kusari whistle past her while performing a step that almost looks like a modified dance step, letting her spin to keep facing Sada the whole while. Something about this feels wrong to her, but she still can't place it. It's worrisome. Perhaps this is simply a new fighter trying to make a name for themselves by taking down an established one, but it could be more than that.
Chizuru still does not attack, but this time, she is watching more carefully - not Sada's aura, but her movements. "I am holding back now to avoid a spectacle. If you really wish to speak about this, we can - at a later time."

'An embarassment' comes to mind; Chizuru does not want to fight someone who has no chance, and Sada, she wagers, does not want to be defeated. She knows better than to say that, though.
She turns to head toward the step down from the event platform. "If you must ask, I apologize for not fighting strongly enough. Is that enough for you? What would you like from me?"

Chizuru returns the bow, just as properly and correctly, and then steps off the platform on the opposite side as Sada.
She briefly considers running around to check on the woman and Kurow, decides that will end poorly, and stays on her side. She can't shake the feeling that something was happening that she didn't understand and needs to study...
COMBATSYS: Chizuru has ended the fight here.
Kurow is still lying there, though he looks a little better than he did earlier, and is in something approaching a comfortable position; presumably Howard Enterprises medical staff have gotten to him. He gives Sada a little smile. "... that was foolish... but I'm glad to see it ended better for you than it did for me."
He does not reflect on how close SNF really is coming, at this point, to professional wrestling. This is probably for the best.
Sada crouches down near Kurow which may give him a better view than he's used to. "Yeah, well," she says, turning her head away and letting the chain rattle in her lap, "I don't know - I didn't want you to end up - you know -"
She trails off, which probably means this is emotional. She does look back over to Kurow, and smile, rather trustingly.
Kurow gives his best smile back. As always, there's something a little off about it -- but surely that's just a little teenage awkwardness or hormones or something!
"You did well," he says, sitting up slowly and putting his arms around her. "What you did there -- tells me a lot about our relationship. I'm glad to have met you."
Sure, if you're /looking/ for something wrong, you could say 'that's an unusually-worded statement,' or 'what -isn't- he saying?' But who's looking?
Sada's eyes go wide as she is embraced. She doesn't object to it; she moves one arm around to hug Kurow back, which may incidentally lead to him getting a lead weight gently thumped against his back. This is an accident. That, or love hurts.
"Thanks," she says, finally, in a much quieter voice than usual. She bites her lip and looks to the side, towards the undecorated side of the arena's riser.
The lead weight does not bother Kurow so much; at this point, everything hurts -- what's a little more?
Shifting his weight a little, he eventually removes one arm from Sada, saying, "... do you think you could help me get out of here? My leg hurts a little -- from where Chun-Li caught it." He makes some small motions toward standing up, but doesn't go too far -- after all, he doesn't want to try to /drag/ her.
Sada - WHO IS HUGGING ON YOUR BABY BROTHER, YURIKA, LIKE THE SLUT SHE MUST BE - lets go of Kurow's shoulder and moves to stand up slightly. "Oh," she says, "sure," letting the chain dangle as she offers a hand to help Kurow up.
Kurow gladly takes it, and ends up putting an arm over the other girl's shoulder as he uses her as support to make his way out. "Thank you," he says, quietly, as they move.
And all goes according to plan.
Like hell it does! Somewhere, Yurika is PISSED.
Did someone sell her beer?
No. :|
Good, because beer would react poorly with her prescriptions.
Sada walks on ahead, without saying anything, towards the exit. She doesn't say anything, and doesn't even remember to pick up her weapon case, rudely left on Yurika's seat.
