To be brutaly honest, the whole idea was one of the worse theme that SNF has thought up as far Ryo Sakazaki is concerned. Until he realised just what this kind of place is: a place where hundred of energic, fighting fans youths comes to learn on argurably important matters.
But more importantly, this is the /perfect/ place to be spreading the world of Kyokugen. Not that it was particularly difficult! It's hard to not recognise the Invincible Dragon himself and, soon enough, Sakazaki is on the roof, surrounded by a few dozen of student forming a circle around him as he demonstrate the art!
"And that, kids! Is the Ko'ou Ken!" Ryo screams out as he focus a burst of chi into his left hand, thursting out a fireball that flies off the rooftop to dissipate into the distance. Applauding follows! "Remember! Even you will be able to do that if you train long and hard enough! Come to the dojo! Don't be shy! Here, here, and here! Directions are on theses!" He continues, handing a few cards to some of the watchers.
Yeah. This was actualy a good idea to come here, after all.
Kurow's mingling style is drastically different from Ryo's. He wears the same Justice High uniform that he wore when he fought the Kyokugen fighter, sleeves still ripped off -- after all, it makes it easier to move. (It's not fishnets, but hey, rules are rules.) He's not trying to compete with Ryo for attention, instead talking to a few Taiyo students here and there in hushed tones. It seems like he already knows them.
He also doesn't try to spend too long doing this; for some reason, for all the high-profile things he's done lately, Kurow seems to be trying to keep it down to a dull roar in this specific instance. Perhaps he feels he needs a little time to recalculate; perhaps he's just being the same sneaky bastard he always is. Whatever the case, after a few minutes of moving from Taiyo student to Taiyo student, he takes his place at the center of the rooftop. It doesn't seem like his mingling has won him a whole lot of fans who weren't already fans.
Sakura Kasugano, on the other hand, is nowhere to be seen for quite a few moments. ... Because she was one floor down, milling about with everyone else who wasn't already chatting it up on the rooftop with Kurow and Ryo. She has plenty of fans here -- it's her home school, after all! -- and even if it =weren't= a requirement to be seen making nice-nice with the locals, she'd have attained just as large a legion. No, really, that's why they picked a school day to film this! ... it's probably some gentle jab back at Ken, trying to build up a good family image or something, who knows?
Regardless, Sakura's appearance on the rooftop is preceded by a good dozen people, trying to walk, talk, and look behind them at the same time. Smug as ever, Kasugano strides right on up, waving to the gathered masses as she makes her arrival. "Thank you, thank you everyone for coming! It's been a long, loooong wait, but here she is... the one, the onnnnnnly.... SAKURAAAAA KASUGAAAANOOOO!!"
Some of Sakura's fellow students actually laughed at the girl's self-introduction, while others who don't know her peculiar sense of humor just... clap. Slowly.
Regardless, the SNF official is there to greet them, nodding to each fighter in turn...

Balrog emerges from the crowd, wearing one of those hideously tacky school uniforms. He wears his typical mask and claw, a red rose tucked behind his ear. He approaches Kurow's side and offers him a brisk nod, as their association is most certainly not public. He'd be the last to blow the Darkside Congress' operation, and face the wrath of Lord Vega. His slender fingers rise to his ear, pulling the rose out. He observes its beauty briefly, turning the stem about in his hand, before tossing it to Sakura and bowing with a flourish of his arm, in a fluid, graceful motion.
When Sakura begins to shout, that's the cue that Ryo has been waiting for! Or rather, dreading for. For it means he has to stop advertising Kyokugen directly. On the other hand...this will be a chance to show directly the might of the style!
Grinning wide at the young fighter that will be his teammate in this bout, Sakazaki makes his way out of the circle of students to park himself not too far from here. His own fans mingling with the crowd she bought along.
"Still loving thoses dramatic entries, huh?" Sakazaki says, facing Balrog and eyeing Kurow. Fight is about to begin. Very soon. He also can't belive he's fighting that masked freak again. You'd think SNF would give him NEW opponments, not old ones!

Unlike Ryo, Kurow really, /really/ wants the fight to start -- as he's once again on his 'home turf,' he feels a need to demonstrate his might to the students of Southtown. Taking a second to put on those clawed gloves, he looks between the Kyokugen fighter and the Ansatsuken fangirl -- who to start with? On the one hand, if last time was any indication, he knows he can beat Ryo... but on the other hand, he knows Balrog can handle himself about as well and fights similarly.
As such, it's time for him to focus on Sakura. After all, he's fought plenty of Kyokugen fighters lately, but he's only fought Sakura once -- he needs to feel her style out a little more, get a little more used to dealing with it. After all, she's one of Taiyo's toughest; it's only rational to want to figure out how to counteract her. He leads off by leaping toward her, fanning those claws out a little and starting with a quick, vicious swipe; he follows it up with two more, one vertically and one horizontally, each just a little more aggressive than the last, as he keeps moving toward Sakura, going for deeper cuts.

Sakura's cheeks redden at the sudden attention from Balrog! Here she is trying to be all tough, and she suddenly gets thrown a rose! "Wh..." She reflexively reaches out to catch the rose in her open hands, smiling wistfully, "Th..thank y--"
Then she remembers who this guy is, and hotly tosses that rose down with a scowl! "No =way= am I accepting this from you, freakshow! Jump off the roof for all I care!"
But while she's focusing on Balrog, it seems Kurow's looking to exploit the advantage, and utterly slash the mess out of her! So much for that prim, proper school uniform -- it's now sliced in a few places by Kurow's attack from the side! She's trained with Ryu, really, she =ought= to know better, but... OH WELL.
Tossed aside like a discarded pincushion, it seems all her fighting spirit has... diminished for the moment, as she curls her arm about her raw side, gritting her teeth from the sudden influx of pain. "Nice, you treat all the girls like that?"

Balrog smirks beneath his mask, tossing his head to the side, dashing some of his golden bangs from his eyes. "You must tell all your suitors that, Sakura." As Kurow charges forward, Balrog slips into a lower pose, setting his feet apart and posing his claw at the side. His left hand balls into a fist, before he jumps forward into a single hand plant, before bouncing off in a smooth leap to pass by Sakura, swiping at her face. A shame to damage such a pretty thing, even if she does have a man's hair. And not good hair, at that.
And so, the fight begins, seemingly with Sakura being the center of attention. Poor girl. Those guys must hate women, trying to skewer the Ryu-Fangirl like that first.
Or jealousy. Yeah. Totaly jealousy.
"HEY!" Sakazaki shouts out, thursting out his arms and shift into his battle position. "Don't you forget about me!" Ryo shouts, pointing dramaticaly toward Balrog. "Prepare to face the wrath of Kyokugen, you two!" The Invincible Dragon then immediatedly dash toward the Spainard, lashing out an Elbow smash and following up with an uppercut. Nothing too fancy to begin with!
As Ryo heads in toward Balrog, Kurow whirls around to face the Kyokugen fighter again; he does stop to address Sakura's earlier comment, however. "What's the matter -- you have a problem with being attacked in a Saturday Night Fight?" Kurow asks, with a little smug smirk. "If you don't like it, prove you have the strength to overcome it!" And with that, he leaves her to Balrog -- for now, he needs to switch targets. After all, with Ryo focused on Balrog...
... Kurow has a fine opportunity to take a few steps toward Ryo's exposed back, and thrust a clawed hand toward his back, trying to lacerate something. He doesn't intend to /cripple/ the fighter, of course -- just do enough short-term damage to give him some second thoughts about focusing solely on Balrog.

"Most of my suitors can't beat me up!" ... Wait a minute. Sakura just admitted failure? WHATEVER. She looks away for a moment, glaring back at Kurow -- but she notices Ryo has that situation covered. "Thanks for the assist!" she shouts at the Kyokugen fighter -- and good thing, too, as Balrog's closing in for a strike of his own!
But if he's going to be slashing at her face, the least she could do is turn to the side as he's spiriting by, making sure the cut is as shallow as she can manage.
But she goes one better than that, falling back on her instinctive reflexes as she rockets an uppercut right up into the Spaniard's chest a split-second afterwards, sending him soaring! "SHOOOOU'OOOU KEN!" And the crowd goes wild! ... Which has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with her skirt flaring wide for a shot of her red gym shorts. Honest!

Balrog blinks as he sees Sakura move, unable to alter course in mid-air. Then, his ribs produce a punctuated thump as he gets slammed into the air by Sakura's fist. He falls and is caught by Ryo's combow, his mask cracking in a hairline fashion. Then, landing on his back with a brief bounce, he hisses in pain. He's still for a moment, before he snaps to his feet in a roll to the side, adopting a sprinter's position, before dashing directly at Sakura. With a bestial snarl, he jabs his claw.

So, all they waited was him to get into melee to attack, huh? The first strike lashed out by Ryo is easily dodged around, the Kyokugen warrior leaps onward and out of the lacerating slash, kicking himself to his feets and facing Balrog. "KO'OU--" He began to intone, but never manage to finish as the other claw fighter's strikes him directly, his channeled chi disperssing harmlessly.
Sakura takes a moment to reflect on what she's seen here -- two fighters teaming up on Ryo! This situation may be better for her, as it gives her body a chance to recover from Kurow's terrible, terrible sequence of strikes at the beginning. But it's =lame= to just stand around waiting for death to creep up! And boring, too!
So Kasugano decides to relieve her boredom, charging right towards the closest opponent, which would happen to be Balrog. Lucky him, he's getting a flying jump kick to the back! "HYAAAAAAH!"
As he sees Ryo commit himself so completely to the Ko'ou Ken and promptly fail to do what he set out to do, Kurow admittedly feels somewhat more confident in the match than he did a second or two ago; after all, it is somewhat uplifting to see an opponent fail. However, this doesn't change the fact that Balrog is already looking pretty extensively hurt, and he can't just let his ally get destroyed without doing a single thing about it! ... well, he could, but he can't just -yet-.
Switching targets again, Kurow looks Sakura over briefly; he knows she can't deal with the kind of hurt his claws can put out as well as she'd probably like to. As such, he again flares his claws out, this time rolling full-speed for her; she very likely knows what's coming as a ball of chi forms around his body. Whirling blades begin to fly around him at all angles, as he simultaneously swipes his /actual/ claws out at her legs, trying to unbalance her.
Balrog snickers as Ryo drops, before springing up into the air. He does a somersault, before twisting about in mid-air, landing behind Ryo. He aims to grab him about the abdomen and emits a yodel as he suddenly bends backwards, attempting to slam Ryo Sakizaki into the ground on the back of his neck.

Ryo recovers from his failed chi-channeling after a few second, but not nearly fast enough to get out of the way of Balrog's grasp. At this point, there is little he can do, besides doing what any good Kyokugen warrior would do:

"HAH! I DIDN'T EVEN FELT THAT!" Screams Sakazaki on the ground, despite the very fact that he's in a rather unconfortable position with his neck slightly bended. He brings himself to his feets, unsteady at first, but quickly a wellspring of golden energy surrounds the entire form of the Invincible Dragon. "IS THAT IT!?"

Aaaaand Kasugano knows she don't want none of those claws! She leaps to the side, letting the spinning ball of DOOMY-DOOM-DOOM fly on without incident. Sticking her tongue out at Kurow, she flexes an arm at the closer-to-her-own-age ninja! "Hey! If you wanted to dance again you should've just asked!" And with that, the girl's off like a rocket, leaping at Kurow with her fist outstretched, aiming to tag him right in the face! Wham!

As Kasugano comes in at the young ninja, he just smirks, and with a quick step to the left and a lash out with his claws, he moves out of the way of Sakura's attack with a minimum of fuss -- and puts himself in the perfect position to attack. "You know -- you're quite the fighter, Ms. Kasugano," he says, staying still for just a split second... and then lashing out with his hand, trying to give her an upward-lifting slap that'll send her a few feet, and then send her tumbling to the ground. "But you'd get further focusing on your own strengths than trying to emulate someone else's."
Balrog cocks his head to the side, with a low snicker. "Didn't hurt? Well let me try THIS!" He suddenly bursts forward, into the air, swinging his legs at Ryo. He attempts to lock his ankles around his neck, before falling to the ground and landing on his hand. He twists his body in a show of trained calistheinic technique, his muscles and bones moving as one as he attempts to wrench Ryo's neck and fling him by it, off into the crowd.

Okay, that one hurts a little more, Ryo will admit that much. Claws usualy do that to somebody's flesh and bones. Enduring the flight and landing square a few feets away from the crowd(because students, specialy of this school, are not stupid), Sakazaki pull himself back up, poping and cracking his neck and glaring at Balrog. Then, exagerratedly, the disguised Invincible Dragon leans his back, a loud CRACK being heard from the middle of his back. "Ahhhh! Man! That felt good, never thought that it'd go away someday. Thanks, Mr. Freaky Ugly Guy, I'm eternaly grateful! Oh, by the way:"
Immediatedly, Ryo blurrs into motion diving toward the Spainard and lashing out what can only be describled as a wall of punches, kick, more punches and more kicks, ended with a flying uppercut. "GOTCHA!"

Focusing her own strengths? Wh...what the heck has she been =doing= this fight, other than just brawling and bashing? Nothing, that's what! "Hey, I don't know which fight you've been watching, but--" WHAM, comes that slash, knocking the girl's flapping jaw right off to the side! How do you tell a girl with a black eye what to do? Nothing, you 'done told her once already!
The tomboy leaps back to her feet shortly afterwards, though -- can't keep a good Taiyo student down! But with Kurow playing fast footwork, Kasugano realizes.. it's best to ignore his advice, and focus on the battle from within.
That is, she makes a big honkin' fireball. Cracklin', ragin' chi, all coalesced into one blue-white nexus of POWER. "Shinkuuuu...." Which she just happens to be shoving off to Kurow! "HADOOOOOUKEN!" Hopefully Ryo can keep Balrog occupied a bit longer...

Kurow looks the Hadouken dead on. He remembers what happened last time -- he got overconfident, he tried to leap it, and he got annihilated.
This time, however, he gets overconfident, leaps it, and... lands neatly behind Sakura, completely unscathed. "That's exactly it. You could be more if you didn't keep trying to imitate that 'hero' of yours," the Kirishima youth spits, flexing his claws a little as he gets back to his feet, that smug smile getting wider and wider. "Look where it gets you."
With two quick steps forward, Kurow shoves his right hand out, holding it flat, aiming to pierce Sakura's shoulder with the claws on his fingers. "You're quite the fighter, but really -- can't you do better than /this/?" If his claws find purchase, he wrenches them before pulling them out, trying to make it hurt just that much more.

Balrog gets struck by a few blows, but the vast majority of them he turns aside, moving rhymatically with Ryo's beat, even matching his breathing so he gets the flow perfectly. He suddenly lashes out at Ryo with a claw towards the stomach, breaking through the flurry of blows and attempting to pierce through his intenstines, causing bleeding and possibly giving him some organs to hold in his hand while he fights.

The few blows that landed were enough for Ryo to be satisfied with his performance. Humph! Too bad this freak still is up. This would have been a good dramatic end, but what have you! "Hah!" Sakazaki shouts out, leaping to the side and avoiding the strike. His reply is pretty simple: he lash out a kick destined to be aimed at Balrog!
Unfortunately, just the kick is raised and snapped, his badly tied shoe find the time to flies off and is instead what soars toward the Spainard.
Awkward.

So Kurow's trying to manipulate the tomboy? GOOD LUCK WITH THAT. With Sakura's fans and classmates all around her, the schoolgirl's =got= to do ber hest! What's Taiyo if not a land full of SCHOOL SPIRIT, right? Kirishima can wear down her body, but he will never crush her soul!
So when he slashes down at her shoulder, the girl -- true to form -- doesn't really get out of the way, entirely. No, she just pivots to the side. ... To Kurow's side. Because she's totally uppercutting that smooth-talking ninja RIGHT IN THE JIB. "SHOOOOOU'OOOU KEN!" That's right, she's totally cribbing from her master, Ryu, in a much less efficient yet altogether Sakura-like way, in driving her fist right up into that leaping uppercut!
Well. Kurow doesn't know what he was expecting, but it sure as hell wasn't /that/. As Sakura roars out the name of her pseudo-dragon punch, Kurow recoils -- but it's too little too late, as the attack catches him in the jaw and sends him up into the air, and then lands him squarely on the ground at the edge of the crowd...
...conveniently putting a student's backpack well within his reach. Kurow pulls on it a little, and finds that this is clearly the backpack of an AP student; it's heavy. This makes it ideal for picking up, spinning once with, and then slamming into the Kasugano girl with a shouted, "Haaaaaaaaaah!"

Balrog gets hit by, of all things, a shoe. "What?" he says, momentarily confused. "A fucking shoe? And they call /you/ a warrior?" He erupts in haughty, high-pitched laughter, before he advances on Ryo Sakizaki. He moves slowly at first, checking out his angle of attack, before he suddenly does a handless cartwheel to the side. He then does a roll to position himself at Ryo's flank, before grabbing at his waist and jumping into the air. If he gets a grip, he hurls Ryo to the ground, before finishing him off with a stomp, then springing off.

"Hey, asshole," Ryo Sakazaki replies, lowering his arms and blocking the initial grip, pointing a finger to himself. He's dressed up in a school uniform. "I don't know if anybody told you, but that was the theme of the match. Also, I put a freakin' shirt on unlike prebubecent morons like you!" Hopping on his bare foot, balancing on it and lifting his still shoed feet, the Invincible Dragon screams out. He's pretty annoyed right now, that's for certain. "COME ON, GIRL! HIEN SHIPPU KYAKU!" He screams and flies straight toward Balrog into a flying kick.

Ryo's shouting at Sakura? Well... hey... okay! Sure! But... why is everyone cursing? "Hey, knock it off you too! Women and children are present!" And Sakura happens to be BOTH, thank you very much!
But with Kurow being all ninja-ey and everything, it seems he just keeps flitting out of her way! It's... actually starting to tick her off, but she's not going to lose her cool. She does that a lot, after all! So when that backpack whirls close, Kasugano mildly leaps backwards, letting it whip by without hitting her. And while she's flying back, she's making him a little present.
A present of the chi-blossom kind. "HADOOOOOUKEN!" Kasugano slams her hands forward, sending that parcel of energy -- a quite large one at that -- racing out towards Kurow. Whoosh!

Kurow isn't cursing! Indeed, he is the picture of polite speech -- perhaps this is because he's so used to dealing with people with whom it's ideal to use that kind of language. Perhaps he just has a sense of decorum. Whatever the case, what matters to the cameras isn't the cursing -- it's the fight, and on that side of things, Kurow does a fine job of rolling neatly under the Hadouken, in a sickeningly low and probably somewhat painful roll.
He continues rolling forward, having lost the bookbag somewhere along the line, and comes up just next to Sakura with a swipe that's -- curiously -- not actually aimed at her, and indeed misses her by centimeters as he continues to dash forward, seemingly trying to /avoid/ Sakura on the large rooftop and getting sloppy because of it.
Of course, the enormous slash lines of chi left just a few centimeters ahead of his actual claws may give Sakura something other than the Darkside Student Congress leader himself to worry about.

Balrog cocks his head to the side. "Asshole? Moi? Haha, that coming from the one with the horridly drole haircut." As Ryo takes into the air, Balrog dashes towards him. He suddenly bends to the side, the kick glancing past his chest - as he sinks his claw deep into Ryo's stomach, piercing internal organs and impaling him on it. He then throws Ryo high into the air, before extending his claw and bracing his legs, allowing Ryo to fall onto it, on his back. As blood showers down on his body, he dumps Ryo off, tossing his head to the side and emitting a trail of sick laughter, assuming his opponent is done for.
Sometimes you win it, sometimes you lose it.
This time, evidently, that's a lose.
The initial claw strikes Ryo dead on as he's tossed upward. That blow was more than enough to cause some pretty heavy damage, but Sakazaki, despite being on the edge, WONT let himself be mauled mindlessly without a last fight. "And /that's/ coming from a freak that wear a /mask/ to protect the horrible secret he's an inbred hick! Come on, you sicko, TAKE THAT!" Still in midair, a last burst of chi flows through him as he unleash an LARGE WAVE OF CHI down at Balrog. "HAOH SHO KO KEN!"
The draw back of firing large blasts of chi in mid-air is that it screws up your landing.
Thus, Ryo completly misses the roof and fall off. Distantly, a loud THUD can be heard.
He's out.

Oh, Sakura's seen this dance before! All she'd have to do is crouch and she can miss that swipe. ... Oh yeah ,the CHI. Ow. Kasugano finds herself rent upwards by the swipe, red welts appearing on her skin from where the slashes of energy found their marks. Blown back from the strike, the schoolgirl lands in a doubled-over, three-point crouch, panting heavily from the blows.
But she's still grinning. That was =nuts!= "Hey, keep at 'em, Tiger!" she shouts to Ryo, grinning as she grins at Kurow. Sooner or later she's gonna hit the bastard again!
... But not without catching her breath first. Rising calmly to her feet, she glances over at Balrog. And then Kurow. ... Uh oh. Well, whatever. "For Taiyo!" she shouts, drawing one hand forward, one foot back in a defensive stance. She's thinking of =something=, but =what?=

As Kurow turns around, he sees a somewhat disheartening sight -- that nasty trading of blows between Ryo and Balrog that seems to leave both fighters in no condition to keep going. He's seen things end like this before, and he doesn't like it -- moreso because this means he can't beat /Balrog/ down after the match. He never really liked the other clawfighter.
He doesn't let up on Sakura, even though she's taking the opportunity to redouble her concentration on the match and rally her school spirit. "Justice High has always been just a little ahead of Taiyo. I'm /very/ sorry," Kurow says, in the most sarcastic tone possible. Stepping forward, he gives a quick, low whirl, almost like a dance step, and tries to kick Sakura squarely in the knees, sending her sprawling.
Balrog is ready to impale Ryo on the claw, and is thus unready to deal with the sudden blasts of chi. He is struck about his upper body, the blasts of chi singing his skin and sending him to the ground. He moves briefly, writhing on his face, before his left hand slaps the ground and he pushes himself back to his feet. He rises shakily, his body shuddering from exerting his battered flesh. He exhales a sick wheeze, and whips his head towards Sakura, his blue eyes glaring at her from behind the holes of his mask. He suddenly begins swiftly running, before breaking into a blurring series of flips, baring right down on her and attempting to smash her into oblivion.

Quick, low kick from Kurow, a series of flips from Balrog. Oh heck. Well, there's not much chance of Sakura evading =both= of them, but she does her best anyway -- and in a way, ends up trying to be =too= crafty. By sidestepping away, she =would= have been able to snare Balrog in mid-flip and slam him into Kurow in the same fell swoop... if not for mistiming the movement. Balrog's foot clips her in the head, knocking her over and leaving her wide open for Kurow's follow-up!
But the girl is =STILL CONSCIOUS= as she's knocked to the side, springing right back to her feet! ... And grinning back at Kurow. "Hey, aside from the Brainless Beauty over here, could almost pass for deja vu, huh?" She's talking about Balrog, not Ryo, really. Where =did= that Ryo guy go, anyway? '
Ryo is down by several metres, off the roof, deeply imprinted into the concrete below.
He's fine, really.
Kurow hates it when people do that. It looks like they're just about to bite it... and then they come back. Shingo did it, too, all those months ago during his first Saturday Night Fight in a long time -- he kept pulling himself back from the brink. That tenacity, Kurow thinks, is admirable -- but at the same time, it's not the 'right' kind of strength. It's the strength of cannon fodder, of grunts who don't know when to quit.
And, naturally, this redoubles his resolve to crush Sakura. "This is a very familiar moment, yes," Kurow says, a smile firmly on his face; it isn't a particularly nice smile, but hey -- it's something. With a single smooth motion, he closes the distance between himself and the slightly older girl and, with another quick spin, aims to kick her; this kick, however, is much stronger, and aimed not at her knees but her head. What he wants more than anything is to send her spiraling down with one shot.

Sakura realizes Kurow's intentions a bit too late, and while she may have already dropped down to pick up that backpack... well, he can adjust and kick her in the head that way too. Sure enough, wham, right in the head... and BAM! Out like a light, as she spins, spins, spins off to the side! Faceplanting into the ground, it looks like she (finally) won't be getting up again!
"WINNERS! BAAAAAALROOOOOOG AND KUUUUUUROOOOOW!"
