Description: Boman, Kasumi, and Roberto face off against the World Warrior, Ryu in the Howard Arena with all proceeds going to aid homeless shelters and soup kitchens all over Southtown. After everything is said and done though, Ryu finds himself fighting one powerful opponent rather than three lesser opponents. (Winner: Boman, Kasumi, and Roberto)
Howard Arena is packed today - largely for one fighter, not the whole four in the fight. Ryu fighting is always a big treat, what with his massive fame and skill. The other fighters - not so much. They're all kids from Southtown - a little local color, a little local fame, but really, they're not who people are here to see.
One of said kids from Southtown - actually an exchange student - is talking to some of the crowd from the edge of the arena. He's still wearing his Pacific High uniform, and he is the gigantic black student named Boman. He's actually smiling - despite not really enjoying fighting, he's willing to do just about anything, and happily, for charity.
SNF is a nice enough place to test her skills from time to time, but this week it meant alot more to at least one student. A charity event sponsored by the schools to help less fortunant people is a gracious thing to do and Kasumi Todoh was more than happy to oblige Seijyun's request to have her represent the school. Of course other members were involved in fights this week as well, but they are certainly not participating in the main event or are they doing things for charity. Then again she also wish she could be at her friend Zaki's fight as of right now to help down that evil master of Kyokugen, Takuma Sakazaki. Helping the homeless is much more important, though.
She steps forward when announcements are being made with a smile on her face and dressed in her usual fighting garb. The young Todoh woman claps her hands together then gives a bow when her name is said and then straightens back up fully looking prepared for whatever happens. Good thing she is fighting with two others. This is going to be a tough fight tonight no matter what.
Another one of the teenagers arrive close behind. Dressed in the colors of the Taiyo High soccer team and wearing his trademark sky blue visor. Over his shoulders he's carrying a mesh bag filled with soccer balls into the ring. With a tip of his visor to Boman he kneels down into the ring and gets to work dumping the contents of the bag into the ring leaving just one soccer ball in the bag. After that he sends the bagged soccer ball off into the crowd with a well placed chip shot to give one of the lucky audience members a souvenir.
To be honest, he's slightly surprised at the fact he's received such a high profile charity match after the Taiyo Dome debacle but he must've proven himself with the one he fought with Feilong against Billy Kane. Roberto is happy to do his part for charity. The fact that it's against such a big name fighter is just the icing on top. Plus he's excited about fighting alongside Boman, especially after he had seen what he could do.
Ryu of course, shall arrive precisely when he's expected to and not a moment before or after. Whether the students are already there or arrive shortly afterwards he'll give each a proper nod. Seems he'd been doing a lot of matches against the up and coming generation lately, but that was fine. If he could help them progress better as fighters it was all the greater. He too, might learn something himself from them, it wouldn't be the first time.
Of those assembled, he can't say he really recognizes any except possibly the girl. He didn't know the name, but if he recalled correctly this one was the heir to a style known for having rivalry to the Kyokugen dojo (Takuma liked to talk). Although he recognizes Roberto's uniform as being that of the school Sakura attends he does not know the student personally and the largest on is truly an enigma.
Nonetheless, fighters all stand assembled before him, and they'll be treated as such, taking into account a thing or two. "Attack when you are ready." He'll say to them all, settling into an easy balanced stance, "This may be charity event, but it's still a fight. Show me what you are all capable of."

Boman turns away from talking to some Pacific friends in the crowd as the others arrive. He waves to his fellow students - and then, a bit more nervously, to Ryu. "Hey, Roberto and - uh, I don't recognize you, sorry. Hello, Mister Ryu." He grins, walking carefully towards Ryu and moving into a defensive stance. Boman never strikes first - or at least tries to avoid doing so. Instead, he watches Ryu carefully, and his fellow students, to see what they'll do.

So there he is. One of the most legendary fighters around. Of course he does use a style a bit too close to Kyokugen which makes her rather annoyed, but he has no affiliation with that family as far as she knows so she handle this fight without much of a problem at all. She takes a few deep breathes to prepare herself for the battle to come. "Good luck to us all. We shall need it." she tells Boman and Roberto as she fixes her gaze on Ryu. She seems rather hesitant to just run in to start things off as well. With Boman hanging back it makes her even more unsure if going in from the get go is a good idea.
So for now she hangs back. When fighting someone like Ryu you certainly don't just rush in flailing wildly. She has to find the best way to approach this whole match and also watch to see what her team mates will do this fight as well and try to help them out.

Roberto waits for the other two fighters to move in as he juggles the soccer ball for a moment. When their attacks never come he decides to do something a bit different from them. While they wait, he decides that he's going on the attack. Of course it's not a 'blind' attack.
Roberto plans on being smart about going on the offensive. He reasons that the best way for him get some information is to send out a feeler and then once he sees how Ryu responds to it, he'll get a better idea of how to fight the legend. Unlike most fighters who use feelers in the form of jab, the soccer star kicks a soccer ball right at the World Warrior. Hopefully the surprise of seeing someone fight using soccer might allow for the attack to go through.

An interesting strategy..two members holding back while one goes forward for the other two to gain insight, perhaps? At least, that's what Ryu would think is going on. If they aim to function as a team it should be an interesting fight indeed, as when coordinated properly it is not unlike fighting a single, powerful opponent rather than separate lesser ones.
Still, Ryu does have a great deal more experience in this kind of thing, and it shows in his reaction Roberto's attack, remaining unmocing until the projected object is scant feet away from him. Right then his right arm will shoot out, grabbing hold of ther ball and stopping it straight in it's tracks with apparently no damage to him speak of. "Interesting.." He'll muse quietly. Unorthodox, to say the least. But lets see how well Roberto can react to having his own attacks turned against him!
Suffice to say, the soccer ball comes speeding back towards its owner.

Boman reacts without thinking as Ryu slams the soccer ball back at Roberto. Boman may not be a fighter - but he /is/ a huge, tough protector. Lunging into the way of the ball, he brings his arms up - but not in time. The soccer ball flies directly into his gut, and Boman doubles over - ow. Ow ow ow. Taking a moment to catch his breath, he steps forward, to allow Roberto to get his ball back as he heads for Ryu. Pulling a fist back, the huge high schooler charges - and then slams at Ryu with an uppercut.
"C'mon, guys!"
It looks like Roberto had a different plan in the long run, but attacking from a distance isn't really a bad idea as well. Well if Roberto is going to go ahead and start off things, then Kasumi shall also start her own planned attack. A distanced attack is tempting, but also at the same time getting up in the face of Ryu might distract him enough so a team mate can sneak around and get a shot in at him. Taking a deep breath she decides now is the time to move forward and she starts forward towards Ryu.
Her pace starts to pick up and it is a wonder she doesn't trip over the hakama she wears. Her brow furrows and she keeps focused on where she wants to strike as she aims to thrust a arm upward and forward with her hand open palmed. The strike isn't very painful, but it is more to just smack Ryu right in the jaw after Boman takes his own swing to try to overwhelm him with a one two attack by the two students.
Roberto had actually planned for the World Warrior respond by throwing his ball back and he even planned out how he'd respond to it. The only thing he didn't quite plan on was Boman jumping in front of him for the save. There's some blinking and his jaw drops open at both the shock of having someone moving in the way since usually that's his role and how painful that looked.
"Boman! Good thing you're not the goalie for Pacific. It would make our rivalry even more intense." After his compliment Roberto moves to that soccer ball and then dribbles it and performs a nutmeg, slipping the soccer ball between Ryu's legs. After that, Roberto takes a sidestep and performs a slide tackle for Ryu's legs hoping that he can catch Ryu, low while the other two are going high and that he can position himself to be able get to the soccer ball afterwards.

All of them strike, and Ryu does his best to be prepared for it. He decides to go ahead and allow Boman's attack to hit it's mark, which proves damaging but fails to significantly move him. As result he's able to effectively deflect most of Kasumi's strick with solid block of the hand. Roberto, however, is fast and not easy to keep track of during all the commotion, allowing him to get another hit in. They may all be young, but he couldn't afford to underestimate them.
The vagabond retaliates quickly then, turning in attempt to seize Roberto before the athlete can get any distance from him. If successful, he'll lean down and pull the high school student with him, hopefully sending him sailing overhead with a well-placed kick.
"Heh - I do football more than soccer..." Boman grins at Roberto's comment. Then Ryu attacks Roberto!
"Roberto, look out!" Boman is on entirely the wrong side to intercept Ryu's latest attack for his friend-slash-rival. He attempts to give the boy a hand, though, by getting Ryu distracted. While it may not work - he does slam forward with a powerful smash, glowing with white chi.
Things seem to just be getting too crowded with all of the students coming in at once to strike. It does seem to overwhelm Ryu enough to do some damage. Her own blow doesn't hit as cleanly as she wishes, but she backs off afterwards to distance herself from the other three fighters as she circles about Ryu. She was rather lucky not to be up and grabbed and the focus of Ryu was on one of the other students. It gives her a bit of time to think of what to do next since Ryu really can't keep his attention on all three people at once, right?
That is probably why she ends up deciding to use what she does next. It is what her father claims to be the pinnacle of her family's style. While it is something Kasumi too finds useful, she has also not mastered the technique near as well as her father. "Kasane...." the girl pipes up while raising her arms and she then slashes downwards creating a wave of chi meant to strike right at the world's friendliest hobo to plow into his backside.
"Ate..." because you know...she forgot to finish.

It's a bit unfortunate for him that he's drawn the attention of the wanderer. However thanks to the warning, the goalie reflexes and the fact that he's been facing a high percentage of grapplers lately he's able to react in time to throw. He falls down into a sprall and drops his weight down to keep himself from moving on Ryu's terms. Of course this has the downside of falling hard onto Ryu's foot but getting flung away would have hurt a lot more.
Roberto still keeps his hands on Ryu and doesn't allow him to get up and if all goes well, he'll lift him up and spike him down on the ground(preferrably right on the wave of chi) before sending Rising Dragon away with a big boot.

Once again they were all upon him, and it didn't seem to be letting anytime soon! Kasumi is the first to attract the World Warrior's attention with her chi manipulation, which seems quite advanced indeed. The Kasane Ate, she called it? He'd be interested to see how it stood against his own, cupping his hands and hurling forth an attack to meet it with a cry of his own, "HADOUUUUKEN!"
The two chi meet, mingle and coalesce and bright reaction that seems to almost cancel out both. Ryu would be rather impressed with Kasumi's ability if he had time to, but neither Boman nor Roberto seem intent on afforing it to him. Boman's attack will be dealt with first, the vagabond stopping the large student's fist with an outstretched. While he'll slide back a bit and the be minorly burned from the chi, he's none worse for the wear.
Roberto is slightly tricker to deal with as he'll manage to get his hands on the fighter. Rather than fight against the attack, he chooses to go along with it, bracing himself for the impact with the ground, minimizing damage for the most part and using the momentum of the kick to his own ends in putting some distance between him and the powerful trio. He'll take a brief reprieve, catching his breath a bit before the next strike.
None the worse for the wear? Maybe - but the Great Rush is a hammer blow, one that could weaken the muscles needed to block for a while. Boman pulls back, striking at Ryu's shin with a foot - not the strongest of blows, but not the weakest either, when one considers that Boman is gigantic, and so are his legs.

Oh that is not good at all from the looks of it. Even as she watches that energy get released and tear through her Kasane Ate the young Todoh woman seems a bit heavy of foot. The hesitation leads to her just holding up her arms and let the hadouken slam into her and knock her back a few steps. She lets out a big sigh of relief as she lowers her arms and she shakes her head. No, she certainly doesn't want to get in a war with energy with this guy. No way she can win against someone with his power.
Of course that just means getting in close and risk being abused by punches and kicks instead. It really isn't a win situation either way, but at least she isn't the only target this way. The small fighter comes forward again to join in on the assault again as she goes to grasp for Ryu by the back of his gi and pull backwards to trip him up and send him groundward while planting an elbow in against him to help quicken his journey to the ground.
It was the first time since the match that Roberto hasn't been targetted. While the first time he had Boman jump in the way. This was a genuine retargetting and so he breathes a sigh of relief. However he still has a fight to finish and so he moves to yet another soccer ball, tapping it in the air from foot to foot as he makes his approach and then when closes enough of a distance he lets the ball drop to the ground as he charges past the hobo, smashing his shoulder up against him and hoping to unbalance him with soccer style tackle as he runs by.

Apparently that little breather was all Ryu needed in order to show both his opponents and everyone watching why he's often touted as a 'legend' of sorts. Once again he'll simply take Boman's attack right where it's aimed to strike, grunting a bit but not letting it stop him from dealing with the others. Kasumi's attack as first, anticipated and re-directed harmlessly as the wanderer reaches behind, grabbing her hand to pull her around and away just in time to sidestep Roberto's attempt at a tackle, all done in one fluid, seemingly perfect motion.
Of course, now the retaliation comes as the herald of hadou puts all the built-up momentum into a powerful roundhouse kick directed at the nearest available target, which seems to be Kasumi.
Boman's eyes go wide. "...whoa." However, he does not allow Ryu's skill to faze him /too/ much - he may not be an overly experienced fighter, but he's not exactly a rookie, either. He heads after Ryu, his fist drawing back - but instead of punching, he holds it out to the side. He continues charging, lunging past Ryu, his arm held rigid. If this /works/, he'll slam his arm into Ryu and end up behind him, whirling around.
"Are you okay, miss?"

A whole lot of flailing and all the commotion really does make it hard to keep track of everything when close in like that. It is enough that Kasumi finds herself distracted and soon finds that roundhouse coming her way before she even knows it. Instinct starts to kick in since she really has nowhere to move and she starts to go for the grab, but the sheer force of the kick knocks her hand away and slams right across the jaw of the Todoh girl and sends her tumbling off across the ground where she lays for a moment.
"I'm fine..." Kasumi murmurs while finally seeming to clear the cobwebs enough to sit up. A hand rubs some at where she was hit and she takes a few moments to recover fully before getting back to her feet, a bit too stunned to help the other two for the moment at least. She makes a note to not let that happen again if she can help it.
Roberto's expert ball handling allows him switch direction instantly to see... "Well, damn..." That looked painful as all hell and he cringes in sympathy for Kasumi. It almost made him wish he wasn't that good at ball control. Almost...
Roberto moves in at the wanderer once again dribbling before performing a double cut and off the second cut, he snaps out his leg towards Ryu's hips attempting to catch him by surprise.

It seems with Kasumi knocked back for the moment that Ryu had earned a brief reprieve in having to deal with all of them at once. Dealing with Boman's and Roberto's successive strikes takes a brief turn for the unorthodox as the fighter decides to take the stinging kick into his side from the soccer player in order to give him a better chance to deal with Boman.
To his credit, the Pacific student's attack will -partially- land on Ryu, but not as we well as it could have considering the fighter is already in the motion of his counter attack, wind swirling furiously as he launches into a multi-hitting uppercuty that will likely take Boman for quite the ride before letting him back down to the ground, "SHIN SHORYUKEN!"
Boman rises with the uppercuts, flying up into the air, his chest and chin hammered by the pain that is Shin Shoryuken. At the peak of the punches, he flies backwards, landing several yards away quite heavily, bruised on chest, chin and back. Getting shakily to his feet, he moves forward carefully, striking once he's close enough - but only a quick, light strike. Boman needs to get his breath back, and the best way to do that is to make himself less of a threat for now.
A breather was something Kasumi needed, but it also seems to be something that may have been detrimental to her team mates. Ryu does well at handling three people, but even so all of them at once seem to be giving him trouble. With only two people attacking it just seems to put odds in the favor of the World Warrior and he proves it by nailing Boman with an impressive display of his power. Even more impressive is the fact Boman manages to even get to his feet to continue is assault.
Well no reason to just leave him to be the only highschooler to get creamed by an attack like that. Kasumi has managed to clear the cobwebs enough that she is only seeing two or three Ryus at this point so she has at least a decent chance at grabbing the right one as the diminuitive fighter tries to grab Ryu by the arm and plant her feet firmly while leaning forward in an attempt to flip him over her shoulder.
Roberto can also see that his team mates need his help and so he carefully moves in as he dribbles the ball forward taking deep breaths before he follows the others' attacks attempting to allow the Pacific student a chance to breathe. After the first two make their attacks, Roberto swings a glowing foot up into the air which will slam into the Rising Dragon sending him both up into the air and backwards and hopefully putting enough distance that they can control the fight on their terms.

Here they come, and once again Ryu will seem ready, almost too ready for it! While Kasumi is able to get her hands on him at first, the fighter will give fierce shakes of his upper torso and manage to throw her off, in time to raise an arm in defense against Boman's attack, his forearm taking most of the damage, though some bruises are beginning to show in him by now from all that blocking.
Roberto seems to be the unlucky one this round, as his foot is caught deftly in the World Warrior's hand just as he turns to meet the attack, applying just the right amount of subtle force to re-direct all that potential energy from him. He's not done there though, following up with a brutal wind as the wander launches into the air and towards the athelete, unleasing a vicious trio of spinning kicks, "TATSUMAKI SENPUU KYAKU!"
Boman's breather is good enough - he's still very hurt, but at least he's still moving, right? The big highschooler is satisfied with that. He draws in closer to Ryu, hoping to take advantage of his focus on Roberto. He closes his eyes as he draws his arms back, praying - not for luck, but for the charity of this fight to help many people.
His fists glow with white chi, and he starts off with a hook punch, which leaves a glowing white line in the air whether it strikes or not - and follows with a powerful uppercut, which does likewise. The cross created in the air hangs for a moment, leaving a glowing testament of power - or possibly faith? Who knows? All we can say is that truly, this is JESUS FIST.
Establishing a firm grip on Ryu's arm is a rather problematic thing indeed. For being beaten on so much he still has a good amount of fight and stength in him. Certainly enough to shake his arm loose and causing Kasumi to stagger back a step or two before she gets her footing again. She puffs lightly and slaps her cheeks a few times. "Come on Kasumi, find an opening." she mumbles to herself as she has found herself being rather ineffective compared to the other two.
Well that ends now! Or so she keeps telling herself. Even as Boman punches hobos for Jesus, Kasumi herself is ready to try and get her own hits in. Hopefully in the form of grabbing Ryu around the waist while he is busy with Boman and putting as much force she can muster into hefting up the World Warrior and suplexing him German style right onto the ground in a rather harsh manner.

Roberto had something up his sleeve however the mighty trio kicks send the soccer player skidding the ground in pained heap. "Wow." Roberto, rubs his jaw for a moment and takes a moment to get his head right and after that he begins to slowly move in again, trying get into the right position before snapping out a boxer style jab. You can tell Heavy D! has a bit of a developmental influence on the soccer star's development as a fighter.

As he'd thought at the begining of the fight, they all seemed to work quite well together as a team. It hadn't been like fighting individuals, but rather fighting one powerful opponent.
And this time, that opponent simply proved too great for the World Warrior.
He'll spin quickly from Kasumi's grasp, but this time not quick enough to intercept Boman's powerful blow, which knocks him right into Roberto's follow up attack. Reeling and dizzy from that onslaught, the vagabond knows he can fight no more. "Heh.." Nonetheless, he'll manage to hold himself up, "You're all really something. With young fighters like you around, I know I can look towards the next generation of fighters with both hope and promise. However, i'll leave you all with one last trial of ability. I believe you will all approach it in your own way..do your best." He'll announce as he cups his hands behind him in that famous stance, energy surging and coalescing with electrical crackles into a familiar shape, "DENJIN..."
He thrusts those hands forwards, but instead of sending a singular projectile at one person, he seems to detonate from the start, resulting in a wide swatch of crackling chi that seeks to overake all three fighters, "HADOUUUUUUKEN!"
Immediately afterwards the wanderer will fall, his energy spent by the last attack. It seems the up and coming fighters were the victors this time.
But hey, it was all for charity, after all!

Boman, tired as he is, grins. "Thank you, Mister Ryu..." He isn't sure what's going to happen next, but - oh hey, CHI EXPLOSION! The huge black fighter leaps backwards - but not fast or far enough, and he is overtaken. The powerful chi burns through him, leaving long burn marks on his chest and arms - but still, somehow, he stands. He is tired, breathing heavily, but when the Hadouken variant clears, Boman has skidded backwards, kicking up dust - but still moves. He lets out a deep breath. "...whoa."

While the first Hadouken was a rather scary sight it holds nothing in comparison to the one that is soon unleased by Ryu. Given the fact that she is closer than she was the first time makes it even worse. She just has to improvise and the Todoh way of spelling that word is .... "Kasane Ate!" Those are the words that she lets out right as she throws her arms down at the same time that powerful ball of chi death is released. Sure her move may not stand up well against such a high concentration of energy, but if anything it dissipated it enough to where it doesn't hurt near as bad when she holds up her arms to block what makes it through her own attack.
She lowers her arms while breathing a bit heavily. She is honestly surprised to be standing when all is said and done. While Kasumi has nothing but respect for the World Warrior she certainly has no urge to fight him again any time soon.

Ideally Roberto would've put himself in between Ryu and his two team mates before performing this move of his but considering how close it was he really doesn't have enough time to worry about anyone else. However Kasumi's Kasane Ate slices through it just enough that it makes dealing with it a tad easier. A pair of glowing hands draw in the remaining portion of energy forming it into a smaller ball before goalie knocks the energy up into the air dispersing it in what appears to be a beautiful light show.
Roberto steps back to admire the dispersed energy as it fades away before nodding to his team mates. "Good job." His breathing is heavy from the exhertion of the fight as he heads towards Ryu. "And thank you, Ryu. It was a great honor." Looks like Roberto's team match unbeaten streak will continue for another week.
