Description: Kain and Dan face off on the floor of a combat arena in Mexico. More specifically... a cockfighting arena. Kain goes in expecting a fairly easy win, but Dan gives him a little education into the hidden power of Saikyo. (Winner: Kain)
A mild mexican day, in the city of Tijiuana. In the hazy distance, a man takes sure and confident steps towards a large cement collosseum, dubbed by the locals 'Luchadores De Pollo'. That man is Dan. A vibrant vision of grins and pink and pink grins as he thrusts an enchilada into his gaping maw while travelling.
His proud eyes and thrust out chest can only mean one thing. Today the stage is set for a mighty battle, and though he's been on the recieving end of his opponent's might once before, today he has nothing but luck on his side. Luck mightier than any punch he could ever learn. It's his luck and his pluck that will get him through this.
Saikyo rides again.
Dan Hibiki. Ah, Kain remembers him. Actually, his memory of Dan is rather more favorable than some people in his position might have. The master of Saikyo actually did rather well against Kain in their last match. His decorum leaves somewhat to be desired, but at least in Kain's experience he has some skill.
Standing in the arena, Kain manages to avoid letting an eyebrow twitch as roosters run around him. Even the dumb birds are smart enough not to get too close to him, though. Apparently someone thought it would be a good idea to let the regular competitors in this arena run around during the fight. Nobody seems to be taking credit, though. In truth, it turns out that it's the brainstorm of one of the owners who happened to /not/ bring his own roosters around. He'll be seeing pesos dancing before his eyes for every bird that Kain and Dan take out.
Kain does actually tap his foot a few times in impatience as Dan makes his way into the arena. "I hope you're ready to begin. I'd prefer to get out of this ridiculous 'arena' as soon as possible."
Dan notices the ludicrous setting as well, and for a moment thinks on what Kain says, before shrugging broadly, with his palms facing outward. This causes him to lose the last of his cuisine while he speaks, "Yeah, this is. real damn stupid. Was this your idea? I mean. What are they trying to say? Which one of us is chicken?"
He thinks on that, for a microsecond before thumbing his nose at Kain, "It must be you, Pal, because Saikyo knows no cowardice! So let's get this over. Just to show how little of a chicken I am. I'm giving you a great opportunity here. You're going to get to take one free swing at me. It doesn't mean I won't dodge it. I wanna give these folks a good show, you know? It just means I'm going to treat you like a bull, and I am the Dantador!"
Oh boy. What was in that Enchilada, Dan? Stupid juice?

One particularly unintelligent chicken actually wanders so close as to brush up against Kain's leg. A quick kick is enough to send the bird flying away, although since it's still moving it seems Kain didn't really put much effort into it. "Well. You certainly have plenty of bravado. Not necessarily a bad thing. I hope, however, that for your sake you really do have the means to back it up."
And that's all Kain has to say. If Dan wants to let him take the first swing, he's going to go ahead and do that. Feathers fly as chickens leap out of Kain's way while he runs across the arena. Closing in quickly on Dan, Kain lashes out with a swiftly rising kick, foot wreathed in purple flame. Won't it be a good show for these folks if Dan gets sent flying by an exploding kick to the chest? That's what they want to see, right?

When his inertia fails him, a chicken is just lucky enough to get the hell out of the way before Dan comes tumbling backwards to the ground, and for a moment it looks like this fight is over before it even began.
But it's never really that way with Dan, is it? The tenacity of Saikyo Ryu always bubbles up to the surface, like a man trying to claw his way out of a casket after being accidentally buried. This time is no different, as the fighter in pink finally gets back to his feet and grins. "H...Ha! Nice shot! I want to see more of that, for as long as you can keep up with me, pal!"
With those words of encouragement, Dan is on the run, headed for Kain like a man posessed.
And when he gets into range, his palm flies forward with a wrist-shattering impact behind it, the tendons in his wrists tightening, as his biceps bulge up. Several rooseters scatter with earshattering crows. It's a madhouse!
As Kain kicks towards Dan, he sets his heels down to the ground, and presses his hands to his hips, thrusting his chest out even further. And when Kain's kick collides, the sheer force of it is enough to send him sliding backwards, with a hole burned into the right side of his Gi. His face is that of complete and utter heart-wrenching pain all the while. For quite a distance he continues to slide....

Dan's hand flies out, crashing into Kain's chest on the upper left side. It actually causes Kain to take a half step back and turn slightly to the side. But if anythingis getting shattered, it's not going to be on Kain's end. That may be somewhat unsettling for Dan, but probably not nearly as much as Kain's hand quickly flying out.
He's not trying to punch Dan, though. Oh no. His hand stops suddenly, palm open, a few inches from Dan's face. It's not the hand, but rather that cloud of purple fire which rapidly expands out from it that Dan has to worry about. Can Dan Hibiki avoid becoming Saikyo flambe?

As Dan's fist collides with Kain's chest, he does feel something's a little bit odd about the whole exchange, and drops to his knees, to check out his wrist.
Incidentall, this is the exact same moment that the purple fire cloud expands just inches above and to the side of Dan's head, with a mighty whiff.\
A chicken stares curiously up at Dan with big bird eyes before he gets the news. A THUMBS-UP! Yeah! Dan is fine! The rooster is relieved, probably. Who knows what's going on in that tiny brain anyways?
Speaking of Tiny brains, Dan begins his counter attack, his position close to the ground, giving him the right space to curl up into the world reknowned by now 'Saikyo Spring' the tight form compressing his potential energy tighter and tighter until the spring is sprung in a spinning sandwich, solely shaped of a single sharp sledgehammer: Dan's fist. The Kouryuken in action.
Lose and you're out of the family, Dan.

Kain doesn't seem particularly worried about Dan pulling himself into an attacking stance. In fact, he steps forward as Dan starts to rise, intending to just blow right through the Pink Wonder's attack with one of his own. It shouldn't be difficult for Kain; there's a huge gap in Dan's defenses before he actually strikes out...
...But then Kain steps on a chicken. This rather catches him by surprise, allowing Dan to drive a fist into the blond's chin. He's forced to step back a couple steps, but it's only a moment before he brings his jaw back down. That did sting. But how long can Dan's luck hold out?
Dan's Luck? Let me tall you about Dan's luck. As he sees Kain come back into fighting condition, he reacts quickly.
How does he react? He keeps pressing the assault of course. He snaps his hip backwards, before launching forward, sending a chicken flying into a wall before his attack on Kain begins.
This is another old time familiar favorite on the play list, the three slow, very telegraphed aerial roundhouses that anyone could see coming from a mile away unless they were a grandma or knew a grandma. The Dan Dan Kick. Like Colt .45 it works ....Everytime! Guaranteed.

For some values of 'works'. Dan's repeated kicks do, in fact, strike Kain. It's a pretty clean hit, too. Unfortunately, the part of Kain which takes the direct hits is her raised forearm, and the force Dan brings to bear is only enough to make it bend slightly at the elbow.
When the last kick connects Kain sweeps out with his blocking arm, attempting to swat Dan's leg aside and completely mess up his landing. And, more importantly, mess up any chances for him to mount an aerial defense. This is important, because in the same motion Kain thrusts out his free hand, sending a blast of purple flame racing straight toward Hibiki's face.

Dan's not an idiot as to try and just stand there the second time Kain brings that terrible kick in. His hands move to find a spot to knock away the terror. And with some success he manages to get away from the exchange mostly unscathed.
It's then that he puts his finger to his forehead and tisks. "Yeah. I can see you're a lot tougher than I realized. It looks like I'm going to have to stop holding back. I hope you're ready, because this one is for last time. This is a grudge match, and I'm the grudge!"
What the hell Dan, that doesn't even make any sense!
Anyways. Dan hops forward twice quickly, and as he moves towards Kain his body spins again. The first time, he launches a Kouryuken straight upwards as he spins out his momentum. The second time, another uppercut comes, this time angled slightly. If anything. Dan is determined.
Or just very foolish.

Well, ow. Kain actually felt that. Whether it's luck, hidden talent, or evil black magic, Dan has already done more damage to Kain than Terry Bogard managed in one of their fights. But it's going to take a bit more than this for him to actually win. Still, Kain is starting to actually take this seriously.
Straightening back up after being staggered by Dan's hits, Kain actually has to reach up and wipe away a trickle of blood from the corner of his mouth. He gives Dan a brief grin, acknowledging that this has actually become an interesting battle, then rushes forward. He reaches out with his left hand toward Dan's ponytail, attempting to grab it and yank backwards. That's not to do damage, though... Just to get Dan's face pointed up toward the sky. The damage comes from the chi-wreathed fist which Kain then brings crashing down towards Dan's face.

Dan is not quite getting a good deal here when his hair is violently yanked by Kain, "Ow, hey now!" He calls out, but all other protest is cut short when his chin is smashed viciously by the energized punch Kain brings to the table.
Heinlein sends him on a flight via knuckle airlines. FIST CLASS!
Well, at least it gives Dan time to think. When the swirling confusion and pain finally lets up, he moves forward, collecting his thoughts, and attempting to grab Kain around the waist. It's a desperate play by a man who now seems like he has nothing to lose.
Will he succeed?

Kain raises an eyebrow as Dan comes rushing toward him. It does seem like a rather unwise attack, but Dan has proven himself thus far to be rather tricky. Kain can be tricky too, however. He allows Dan to rush him, and even goes so far as to let the Saikyo fighter get his around Kain's waist.
That, however, is when Kain reaches out and grabs Dan by the face. There's not much force behind it, maybe enough to hurt Dan's nose a bit. It's the explosion of blue chi that goes off in Dan's face that's probably going to knock Dan back, and maybe singe off his eyebrows.
Crap. Dan really wasn't expecting anything like that to happen. In fact, Dan wasn't expecting that at all. His face looks rather messed up right about this time, and as for his eyebrows. Singed? No way! The eyebrows of Saikyo are as resilient as the man himself.
On wobbly legs he moves towards Kain. Narrowing his eyes in a grimace of pain and defeat. One word escapes from his lips as he pushes his fist forward feebly...
"HISSHOU!"
Oh man. The old 'about to die' standby. The fist moves forward and regardless of whether it connects or not, a crazed flurry of punches and kicks moves forward. It all ends with a tiny Koryuken. Everything punctuated with BURAI RAI RAI RAI RAI KEN, or his name isn't Dan. GUARANTEED!

Dan's fist manages to connect with Kain's chest. But Kain has had JUST ABOUT ENOUGH OF THAT! Thrusting out with both hands this time, Kain grabs Dan by the shoulders. There are flares of golden light from each of Kain's hands, and then Dan finds himself engulfed in a very tiny sun. Kain tenses the muscles in his arms for a moment and the orb shoots out, vaporizing chickens as it goes, until it eventually crashes into one of the arena walls, blasting apart the stone before finally fading away.
Stillness. Dan lays in a crumpled heap on the ground for a moment as he looks up at the top of the collosseum. "Ha. Hahaha..............Ahhaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaa. Oh.. man. Not so rough, I think you broke a rib. Ah. It's like a sharp stinging pain, right in my very soul. Whatever that means."
Leaping back to his feet and looking considerably more healthy than before, albeit still with the messed up face (and some say that was like that before the fight began anyhow), Dan points at Kain and says, "Look, even with your most awesome attack of whatever might, times two E X plus alpha, you just aren't bringing Saikyo down. I'd tell you to forefit and just say I won, but I don't think you're the type, so well once again you go ice-skating up hill..."
As he monologues he moves closer and closer to Kain, before once again, he uses every ounce of strength to launch another double uppercut volley. Like Patton versus ze Germans, Hercules versus Ze Hydra, or Battletoads versus Ze Double Dragon. Whatever happens next is going to be completely epic.

Kain's not going to fall for that trick again, thanks very much. He may be taking... quite a lot of damage from Dan, but he hasn't lost his wits. Somehow, though... Dan doesn't hit all that hard. And he can't take hits very well. Yet somehow he is doing incredibly well in this fight. It's something Kain will have to think on later. /After/ he smashes Dan back into the dirt.
Dan's uppercuts are brushed aside by Kain's arms, and he takes a quick step back. Only to get room to spin around, though, because once he completes a spin he launches himself back at Dan, immediately leaping into a short range jump kick aimed at the center of Dan's chest. Complete with fiery explosion should it connect.

Dan has taken quite a beating in this, the arena of true champions, and now with Kain having vaporized most of the roosters, his fight is beginning to wane. He's just a bit wobbly again, before he's kicked to the ground.
While falling towards the cold, barren earth, his hand shoots up, and he mumbles, "Shinkuuu....."
A fireball leaves his hand, headed towards Kain, while Dan's head hits the ground, "Gadouuuukennnnnnnn~"
Alright Dan, this is the real deal. It's make or break time.

As powerful as Dan has shown himself to secretly be in this fight, when it comes to fireballs there still aren't many people who know more than Kain. The Shinkuu Gadouken races out toward Kain, and Heinlein... simply raises a hand. There's a blue glow from his palm, and then a massive sphere of chi suddenly springs into being, swallowing the Gadouken whole.
Seeing as Dan is already on the ground and showing no signs of being able to continue the fight, Kain refrains from blasting the mighty pink one into a crater, instead allowing the energy orb to flicker out. "That was rather... odd. But not unimpressive. Good show." And with that, Kain turns to make his way out of the arena. He doesn't desire to spend any more time than necessary in the vicinity of poultry.
Slowly, the chickens begin to advance on Dan's fallen form.

Dan himself probably lies there unconcious for several hours, until the janitor wakes him up and tells him to get out or bring money. WORLD WARRIOR: OVER!
