SNF 2007.03 - Urban Renewal! Iori v Remy/Sie

Description: Anger vs Emo and Cheer! Can Kensou and Remy reconcile their stark differences long enough to put down Iori Yagami and destroy a run down park in Metro City at the same time?! Well... they can do one of two things, at least! (Winner: Iori)

Metro City has two faces: the bright, bustling metropolis that represents all that is shiny and good about good old fashioned American capitalism. That's the side that's on the news, that gets the media attention, that the world sees. What many do not see, however, is the underside that not even the meaty hands of Mike Haggar and his government can reach: the poor sections, the slums, the homes of the forgotten. The playground slated to host one of this week's Saturday Night Fights is just one example of that. The pavement is cracked and broken with age, the swings and slides and monkey bars a dirty brown-red with rust. With spring still on the horizon, the stubby trees are dead and withered. The nearby elementary school -- nothing more than a brick box with dirty windows -- looms over it, casting the entire thing in shadow.

It's a perfect setting for the naturally dour Remy, the first to arrive of this week's contestants. If he's to find his father, he has to resign himself to participating in the trappings of the fighting world... even if it means participating in the bread and circuses of the masses. However, the bleak setting touches something in him that is still sentimental, and he stands on top of the monkey bars, perfectly balanced, and glancing down through pale green bangs at his empty palm. "...pathetic."

Metro City has been a common stage for Iori Yagami's SNF fights as of late. Well -- only two, but that, for him, is two too many. Especially given the reasons behind his last SNF, and the beatings he had received then. Thus, Metro City has become something of a sore spot for him -- even though such annoyances and grievances don't last long, the memories are still fresh enough that Iori's arrival to the chosen battleground is a bit delayed -- even moreso than usual for him. Why bother getting there on time when it's obvious that the fight can't start without him? He takes his sweet time. After all, he has all the time in the world.
The winds whip hard throughout the grubby, once-abandoned playground of Metro City when Iori Yagami finally deigns it time to make his appearance. Walking towards the entrance of the playground, dark red eyes take a long scan around him. His hands slide easily into his pockets, shoulders slumped and expression lax -- if not holding the beginning signs of irritation that will inevitably lead to a raging Yagami. His lips pulled into a bland, thin line, Iori rolls his neck with a scoff before eyeing the first of his opponents -- a man who he, understandably, has never seen before. Clearly because Remy is simply far too beneath his notice. His other opponent he's only heard of once or twice. Not nearly enough to really care to remember the name.
"Hmph." Iori smiles bitterly as his gaze focuses off of Remy, towards the rest of the playground. At the very least, the two of them combined should provide an interesting match up. He could always hope.

Man, everybody's so serious. And dour. What's up with that?! Certainly, neither of those adjectives could be applied do the /third/ participant of this fight, who is... Uh... Not here yet.

In fact, Kensou is almost distressingly late, and with mere moments left to go before the scheduled start of the match, he's nowhere to be seen. Could they be forced to forfeit? Will Remy have to battle Iori all by his lonesome because his lazy partner just plain hasn't woken up yet or is off stuffing his mouth with food or some other really really shoddy but all too Kensou excuse? Fortunately, no. Because at the last moment, the last /possible moment/, the Psycho Soldier is there, standing on top of a slide not far away from Remy's monkeybars. And he's posing dramatically, pointing directly at Yagami over yonder.

"Yagami, I hope you're ready to lose!!" Kensou shouts, affecting a deeper voice than usual. "Because today, the great Sie Kensou and that guy over there whose name I can't remember are totally gonna kick your ass like it was a soccer ball or something!!" Yeah, he's not very good at this 'dramatic speech' thing, but he's improvising. "In fact, I--" Forgetting his precarious perch, the Chinese psion takes a step backwards, onto empty air, and then he pitches down to the ground with a: "Gwaaah!"

There's a tense moment where he just sort of lays on the ground, leading the onlookers to wonder if the fight's going to be cancelled, but suddenly Kensou hops up to his feet. He's okay! "Ah, dammit..." mutters the Psycho Soldier. "Okay, okay, let's just get started!"

Oh, look at that. People are here. Remy's introspection is broken by the arrival of Iori... and then the floor show featuring Sie Kensou, his 'teammate'. The Frenchman's hooded eyes take in the Psycho Soldier's rather... vibrant... entrance and he simply sighs, leaping down from the monkey bars and landing in the dust opposite Iori. "The players are here, the stage is set..." He shakes out his arms and zips up the sleeves of his black leather shirt, glances to make sure Kensou isn't *dead*, and then turns to Iori with a dispassionate expression. "Let's get this over with."

Bringing his right hand up near his chest, Remy suddenly swipes it in a cutting motion from right to left, his palm glowing bright pale green as he does so. The path of the move describes the arc of the scythe of pure light that arcs out toward Iori, an emo man's Sonic Boom. "Hoh!"

COMBATSYS: Iori dodges Remy's Light of Virtue.

And there's Kensou, who is predictably spouting out cocky, stupid garbage from his lips. And then, he takes a step backwards... and falls. Iori blinks once, looking down to the site of Kensou's fall. A single, red brow lifts, his mouth twisting into a more condescending grin. "This ought to be over with soon..."
But the words are short-lived. Remy announces himself in a rather roundabout and simple way, and the Yagami heir couldn't agree with the other man's statements enough. Turning to face the moody fighter with a short, sadistic smile, the red-hed falls into a fighting stance, keeping himself relatively low to the ground. It's just as he falls into that stance, though, that Remy makes his move; unfortunately for him, Iori can see the scythe of chi coming far too easily. And as it slices through the air, Iori quite literally... LEAPS above it.
The light-chi soars harmlessly beneath him as Iori's hands erupt with plumes of violet, intense fire. Twisting sharply in mid-air, those hands clasp together and then WHIP forward, intent on smashing flaming fists right into the side of Remy's head, accompanied by a rather painful explosion of flames. "UUWARRGH!!"

Man, that doesn't seem very pleasant at all. From his vantage point, Kensou watches as Iori avoids Remy's attack, and then assails his partner for the day with an airborne attack of his own... Without even seeing if it lands or not, the Psycho Soldier can't help but wince sympathetically. That's probably gonna hurt pretty bad! However, it's high time that Kensou got in on this himself.

Running back up the steps of the slide, Kensou leaps off the top thereof, aiming himself directly towards the airborne Yagami. What madness could the strange Chinese youth possibly have planned? Well, he tries to catch Iori before he can properly get his feet on the ground and recover or anything, his right foot extended and alight with bluish-white Psycho Power, a streak of energy following behind his foot, Kensou almost seeming to slide through the air on it. "URYAA--!!"

Oh, my goodness that smarts. Iori lays into Remy with fierce retribution, the overhead attack crashing the Frenchman to the ground in a burst of purple flame. The swingset he was standing near topples from the impact, as Remy groans and gets back to a crouch. The Yagami scion's attack apparently did a number on poor Remy, who groans and clutches at his forehead. Yeah, let's hope Kensou can land something, or divert Iori's attention. Remy will just be taking a nap. "Ngh... not bad."

The blow is clean and Iori continues with the follow through, his hands qhipping through the air as he lands some distance from Remy. The painful flames dwindle and disappear from his hands -- just as Kensou comes making his own move. Looking towards the Psycho Soldier, Yagami's visible eye narrows. That power, not chi -- not /another/ one. "Do they grow you people off trees?" He questions irritably, just as Kensou closes the distance. The foot extends out with that potent Psycho Power, and when it strikes...
... it strikes a waiting palm instead of any more vulnerable flesh.
"... che." Iori's palm retracts only a moment later, a stinging sensation lingering, but little more. And shortly after, he follows up with a single, swift kick lancing out to strike Kensou right in the gut before he can recover his guard enough to defend himself. "GUUUOOOOH!!"

Crapola! Kensou flips backwards, off of Iori's hand as the other fighter begins to let go of the caught foot, crossing his arms mid-flip to catch the kick across his forearms instead of somewhere more sensitive - but there's still enough force, combined with the fact that he's in midair, to send the younger fighter flying back. His shoes skid along the ground for a few feet before he regains his balance, and then... Now what?

"Man, what're you doin'? That didn't hurt at all!" Kensou lies, because that stung! But he's not going to /admit/ something like that. Instead, he rushes forward as fast as he can, apparently aiming to collide headlong with the flame-tosser, before stopping just short and swinging a fist up as fast as he can, aiming to pop Yagami right in the face. "Hup!"

Gritting his teeth, Remy uses Kensou's moment of grappling with Iori to get his bearings back. Iori's an impressive fighter, and the boy at least appears to be able to keep from falling on his face constantly, so that's a plus. The Frenchman's customary scowl returns soon enough, however, as he hardens his resolve to get back in the fight. Even if Iori is strong, he's just a street fighter... and to Remy, those are the lowest of the low. Except for him because he has a noble purpose. Shut up.

Coming from the opposite side as Kensou, Remy twists, and then lashes out with a vicious low kick toward the back of Iori's kneecap, hoping to force the Yagami scion to trip, stumble, or otherwise blunder into Kensou's attack. Not an elegant move, but assuredly effective if it connects.

Well... that's not COMPLETELY expected on Iori's part. He rarely ever so completely underestimates his opponents, but it seems that today's just a perfect day for doing so. The first thing that comes is the punch, and though Iori prepares himself to take it and move with the momentum of the strike... it doesn't seem to work out so well for him. The punch hits just /slightly/ harder than he anticipated, which isn't saying much; Yagami takes one step back, shakes his head, and growls. It's weak, but...
... it's just disorienting enough that the kick to his kneecap goes through as planned, just as Kensou's punch connects. It sends him stumbling, though he holds his ground. Keeping his feet, Iori opts to leap away from the pair, rubbing his jaw briefly as he lands. "... tch." Well. That was mildly embarassing.

Wow... That actually worked?! Nobody's more surprised than Kensou on that count, honestly... But it seems teamwork is actually going to count for something here. Maybe. A little? "C'mon, uh... Whatever your name is!" the Psycho Soldier calls over to Remy. "Let's keep the pressure on!!" Well... It's not like they really have any viable alternatives, unless they want to wait for Iori to just start setting them on fire or something. Kensou PLAYS TO WIN.

Once again, Kensou rushes at Iori, pulling his right fist back in what will be a hefty overhand punch if he can get close enough, throwing his entire weight behind the strike; if that hits, then he starts unloading more of the same on Yagami, striking a few more times before bringing his hands together in an axehandle postion, and swinging /up/ at their opponent's jaw and/or face!

Hm. Remy took as much of a gamble as Kensou did, but it appears to have paid off spectacularly well compared to expectation. Still, the Frenchman's face remains impassive, almost as if he's WILLING himself to be bored by all this. Still, Kensou is proving to be at the very least competent, so he keeps his response to the Psycho Soldier's comment civil: "You don't need to know my name." Oh yes, you are a charmer, Remy.

He's right about the pressure, though, and the French fighter knows it too. So he... turns his back on Iori? Yes, somewhat stupidly, he does. However, immediately after he turns back and, from a standing start, LEAPS at Iori at a low angle, lanky leg extended to spear into Iori's stomach like a... well, a spear, really.

That embarassing stunt over with, Iori seems to be a bit more on his game now. As Kensou makes a break towards the Yagami heir, he's more than thoroughly prepared; the first overhand punch is caught with Iori's right hand with hardly even a second thought, before leaping /backwards/ to avoid the followup. Leaping, seemingly, straight into Remy. Which might be a mistake, except for the fact that, from the look of the grin on his lips, it is simply part of the plan. And is also why, when that leg comes at him...
... Remy might feel the distinct sensation of a /foot/ bearing down on his leg.
It's sudden, and it's fast. Iori shoes a single, clad foot down on Remy's leg as it lances towards his stomach, driving it instead into the ground and hopefully disturbing Remy's balance enough for Yagami's follow up. As soon as that foot strikes solid ground, Iori lurches /forward/, his right hand burning with tainted amethyst fire as it snaps /forward/, intent on grasping Remy by the face. And, if successful... those fires will consume the young fighter's head entirely, before rocketing him through the air with the sudden BOOM of an explosion. "GUUWAAAOOH!"

With his attack neatly blocked, it would seem Kensou's not too effective right now, but... Well, he fares better than Remy this time, at least! Whether or not Remy is caught by Iori and his grabby/fiery explosion, and since there's probably not enough time for him to 'save' his teammate given their opponent's rather fearsome speed, the Psycho Soldier is nevertheless going to try to do exactly what he said and keep the pressure on, closing distance with Iori again and dropping low, twisting with his leg extended to try sweeping Yagami right off of his feet. "Yaa-!!"

Unexpected.

Remy's face bears the tiniest hint of surprise when Iori's swift counterattack swings around and looks to clock him in the jaw with a big purple explosion of flame. Which... is exactly what happens. Knowing he can't really evade it, the Frenchman tries anyway and gets about what one would expect for his troubles: exploded backward so far he crashes into the monkeybars he was standing on before. There's... a hell of a lot of dust. It may be that Iori took Remy out of the fight completely, which doesn't bode very well for Kensou, does it?

Or maybe not. In a burst of impressive speed, the lanky emo fighter bursts from the dust, crossing the distance between himself and the Yagami scion at a low crouch. When he gets in range, Remy suddenly and from a standing start flips in a complete reverse 360, impressively unaided by any handstands and the arc of his long legs followed by a blazing crescent of pure green-white light. "Shut up!" A second backflip, even higher than before. "And!" The final twist goes highest and carries with it the most crushing force of the trio of blow. "DIE!"

Fearsome speed indeed, which is exactly something that Kensou is going to learn the hard way. As that sweeping leg strikes out, Iori suddenly, and rather oddly... lowers himself as well, into splits. The strap on his leg strains as his right leg snaps out to the side of him, smacking RIGHT into Kensou's leg with enough force that his attack simply /stops/ prematurely... and leaves him facing a grinning Yagami. Iori's hand rears back, apparantly going to swipe Kensou across the face with those deadly talons --
--And that is about when Remy bursts forth from the wastes of Iori's previous attack. The Yagami scion's eyes snap wide as he attempts to leap UP and out of the way of the sudden assault. But the backflip and the surge of chi strikes Iori hard, and strikes him fast, followed by the second, launching him up higher, and the third and highest of all. The force of the blow causes the red-headed fighter to cough up blood in a sudden, unsightly display. Yet, even as they both fall through the air...
"HUUARGH!!" Iori's hands SNAP forward as the pair descend, apparantly intent on intercepting Remy before they both fall to the ground. His intent is to shove his fingers deep into the other man's gut in a rather painful maneuver. If the blow succeeds, Iori will twist them /both/ in midair before slicing UPWARDS with his hands, intent on using the force of the sudden upward thrust to knock Remy towards the ground with a spray of blood. Angry? Yes. Extremely.

This doesn't seem to be Kensou's day, does it? He should probably be /glad/ that Remy's getting the lion's share of Iori's attention in this match, because let's face it... The red-haired Yagami is pretty scary. But, the Psycho Soldier just can't be happy about it, even as Remy's attack forestalls Iori's attempt to do something singularly awful to Kensou himself. After all, why would he be glad about being kinda ineffective, here? "Goddammit," Kensou mutters, watching as Iori goes after his teammate for the day...

Springing up as quickly as he can, Kensou continues after Remy and Iori, and while he probably can't interfere with the latter's attack again, he /is/ going to try to grab Iori by a leg or something. And then, if he gets that grasp, he's going to do something either totally sweet or incredibly stupid. Swinging with all the force he can muster, Kensou will try to toss Iori away, right at the jungle gym, and honestly this isn't much of a kung fu move at all. He's clearly making it up as he goes along! "Huaa--!!"

Remy didn't necessarily expect his assault on Iori -- powerful as it was -- to take Iori down, but he at least hoped it would give him some leverage, or at least a little distance. Not so. His voice rings out with a wet-sounding, bass gurgle as Iori's talon-like nails rip through his torso, shredding the black leather of his shirt and leaving trails of dark red blood that swim briefly through the air, almost stopped in time, as Remy plummets down to the ground ahead of Iori. The pain is extreme, and what's worse his strongest move didn't appear to work.

The only real recourse is to do it a second time.

As Iori descends toward Remy, the Frenchman just barely catches the ground with one hand, turning his fall into an improvised handspring. Gritting his teeth from the pain in his wrist, Remy rolls to a crouch and immediately leaps UPWARD in another scything crescent kick, blazing brightly with that mysterious light chi. If Kensou can work around it, fine, but Remy doesn't appear to care, his perception blinded by pain and anger. There's no triple kick, just one devastatingly powerful blow that strikes with such force the pavement around Remy cracks, as if in an aftershock. "DIE!"

The thing about using the same attack twice in sequence against a man like Iori, is that if he's seen it once, he can properly gauge the speed and power. And while it may have hurt... he's not going to fall for the same thing twice. Instead, he does something entirely different. As Kensou makes a grab for him, Iori makes no move whatsoever to try and get out of the way; instead, oddly and perhaps ominously enough, he simply goes WITH the flow of the attack, flashing Kensou a brutal grin as he goes flying --
--Which might be about when Kensou might notice a small spark of power flying at him.
The Psycho Soldier really has no time; the spark flies fast, unbelievably so, even as Iori lands in a roll and moves JUST out of the way of Remy's second vicious assault with a shout of, "SLOW!!" Bellowed out into the air. The second Iori hits the ground, that spark of chi strikes Kensou... and then the skies above darken noticeably.
The first bolt of lightning strikes Kensou from the heavens with vicious, Orochi-tainted energy dead-on, the force of which enough to blow chunks of rubble through the air. That's not the end, though; soon after, a second, and third bolt of pure, terrible power strikes down from the skies above in quick succession, ravaging the ground around them and, of course... ravaging the Psycho Soldier at the epicentre of the Orochi-spawned storm.

Uh oh. Kensou realises too late that he's in for a very bad time, getting zapped with Orochi-tainted energy, which you know... Is really not his idea of a good time, huh? Once the storm of energy is done, the Chinese psion is blasted back, hitting the ground rather painfully again. "Guh..." he mutters, his clothes smoking a little in the aftermath of the attack. He kinda... Just wants to lay here for a minute, you know? But he can't, because that would be really bad. Gritting his teeth, Kensou forces himself to stand up, hands on his knees to keep himself upright. He's still going to take a second to deal with what just happened, but he's at least a /little bit/ ready for whatever might happen next.

In all honesty, Remy probably should have been done fighting the second Iori clawed him in midair. As it stands, he's in no shape to continue fighting and barely seems to have even noticed if his attack hit Iori or not. In fact, he's barely aware of anything at all as he crouches, pale green locks swept over his face and hiding from view as he clenches his teeth, hunkers down, and attempts to make some damned sense out of this fight.

Now that... THAT was satisfying. Coming to a stop in his roll, lingering traces of that horrid Orochi energy singes Iori beneath his skin, burning in a way no one could possibly understand. But he's long-since managed to supress that pain -- even use it to his advantage. Case in point, as even when his opponents seem so intent on staying down and recovering their wits, Iori is quite quickly back on his feet, looking between the two of them with a sneer. "What? Are you two already DONE? COME AND FIGHT ME, YOU IDIOTS." Violet fire surges around the last of the Yagami's right hand as he straightens. His gaze goes to Remy, and then Kensou, and then...
That arm flings forward.
The flames quickly dissapate a moment later, but that doesn't last long. From the ravaged ground beneath Iori, a plume of violete BURSTS forward, rubble churning and launching through the air as the gout makes a single trail -- straight for the Psycho Soldier.

At this point, Kensou isn't really blessed with options... Those flames are coming his way /fast/. He tries to get out of the way, but he can't quite manage it in time, instead getting blasted with purple fire, which sends him rolling in an attempt to put out the flames. Ow, ow, ow! "Dammit..." he mutters, pushing himself up, some violet flame still clinging to his person. "I'm gettin' pretty sick of this crap."

So, Iori wants them to come to him? All right, fine by Kensou! Suddenly rushing at Iori from a starter's crouch, he twists at the last moment, skidding along the ground in what should probably be a painful means of movement but at this point... He doesn't really notice. Instead, he extends his right arm, locking it at the elbow, palm open; his other hand braces his right arm, at the shoulder. "Hey, you stinky son of a bitch! EAT THIS!!" he shouts, pure psychic force making the remaining flame whirl off of him and extinguish, in the moment before a HUGE sphere of pure white Psycho Power forms in the air in front of him, ideally right where Iori's standing, to blast the red right out of his hair!

While Remy is not a champion at showing positive emotions, when it comes to the negatives he's no slouch. Iori's taunting is getting to him, not necessarily because he's winning -- winning and losing could matter less to Remy -- but rather because he appears to simply be indulging himself in violence for the sake of violence. The same sort of stupid behavior that led his father off into god knows where while his family suffered, and the entire reason for all of Remy's existential angst. If this were G Gundam, he'd be busting out the Shining Finger right about now. Thankfully for everyone involved, it's not.

Instead, the Frenchman simply launches himself at Iori alongside Kensou, fatigue telegraphing his movements but withholding none of the crushing power of his expertly-executed kicking techniques. His leg is a red blue as the French fighter sweeps his foot upwards, looking to connect it into Iori's jaw in a crushing roundhouse.

COMBATSYS: Iori blocks Kensou's Senki Hakkei.

There they go. Finally. Yagami looks satisfied, even as his fires consume Kensou in a most painful manner -- a perfect set up to prepare him for what comes next. And what comes next IS mildly surprising. Not expecting such an immense surge of psycho power from the young Psycho Soldier, Iori's eyes widen momentarily as that giant globe of pure psychic energy manifests in a most painful way. However, Iori is thankfully /prepared/ this time around. When the burst of psycho power comes at him, those forearms jerk UP in a cross-shape fashion, diluting the blow of the sudden surge of power. That god-awful energy still singes his arms, burns him as it forces him backwards several feet -- just in time to see Remy running at him.
Unfortunately... Remy is moving far too slow. And just as Remy LAUNCHES himself at Iori, the Yagami LEAPS at Remy. A clad heel smacks into the redhead's jaw, but Remy might be able to feel... "GUUOOOH!!" ... a sudden swipe of deadly talons SCRAPING across his gut. Tearing through flesh and muscle, Iori does not hesitate, landing on the ground and SPINNING before delivering one solid backhand into the side of Remy's head, to send him spiralling towards the ground below them.

As the sphere collapses, Kensou staggers back from the leftover force... But he frowns, because it's quite clear his attack didn't have the desired effect. Worse still, it looks like Remy's in a bad spot, because Iori is /freakin' crazy/. It's clear right now that they don't have a whole lot of time or options left, and Kensou can feel that he's on his last legs... So Remy's bound to be even worse off after something like that.

Rather than just give up the ghost, Kensou goes after Iori again, trying to get a hand on the flamewielder, for what might just seem like a smaller version of his previous attack; if he gets ahold of Iori, the Psycho Soldier unleashes a sudden blast of energy, designed to propel Yagami /away/, and preferably into something soldi and uncomfortable. "Haa-!!"

Somewhere in the back of his mind Remy hoped, perhaps selfishly, that Iori would ignore him, considering the relatively less battered Kensou and his shiny shiny lightshow a greater threat. Sadly, it didn't work out that way, and the Frenchman is again sent sprawling backward in a spray of blood, clutching his side. His breathing, wet-sounding and irregular, is the only outward indication that his time in the fight is over. However, he appears to have enough strength in him for one last hurrah. His eyes narrow as he chokes out, "People like you... are all that's wrong... with SOCIETY!" In a flash he whips his glowing hand around, tossing out a scythe of light just as before... and then whips it back the opposite direction, throwing out a second at a slightly different height, the two circling each other like orbiting moons as they head toward Iori.

Remy, meanwhile, slumps afterwards and leans back against a nearby lamppost, clearly out of the fight and most likely unconscious, bleedingly silently onto the broken pavement of the playground.

COMBATSYS: Remy can no longer fight.

One last hurrah. Sadly for Remy, that hurrah is slow and sluggish as an attack from someone as battered as him should be. Those orbitting crescents of energy come flying outwards toward Iori, but he can see them coming from a mile away. Lips pull into a sneer, his legs tense. "Why don't you..." The bursts of power come, and just as they do, Iori jerks BACKWARDS, out of the way of the bursts with ease. "... /shut up already./" But it seems like that will be Remy's last grandiose statement. It's irritable enough, that Yagami doesn't even see Kensou coming... at least, not until it's too late.
Grasped, Iori suddenly finds himself rocketing /backwards/ as Kensou releases another blast of that irritably Psycho Power. Yagami snarls, landing and sliding across the ground before talons create enough friction with the ground that he comes to a halt. And as soon as he does...
Iori whips himself outward, straight towards Kensou.
"GUWWOOOAARGH!!"
It's a maneuver Kensou may have seen before. Body arching through the air, Iori's hands clasp together, before snapping OUTWARD towards the side of Kensou's head, to smash him into the ground with a brief and nasty explosion of power.

COMBATSYS: Kensou interrupts Tsumagushi from Iori with Senkyuutai.

Sure, it's perfectly logical that with Remy down, Iori would come after Kensou. They're the only ones left standing, after all! But it's not as though Kensou's just going to let himself get hit without any struggle, no way; instead, as Iori lunges at him through the air like that, Kensou falls back, and the surging blast of power still hits him, but at the same moment his own feet come up, kicking straight upwards, first one then the other in Iori's face to knock the Yagami scion away.

And then Kensou rolls over his shoulder, half pushing himself up, finding it /very difficult/ to get any further. He's definitely done in this match...

Unexpected. Iori didn't anticipate Kensou to be so stupid as to launch an attack straight into his face instead of putting up a defense against the Yagami's /own/ attack. The feet slam into a stunned Iori's face. Only HE does things like that, what does Kensou think he's doing? But, each of those clad heels strike solidly, sending Iori back one step, and then another. He stands still for a moment, his body wobbling, knees shaking just a little as he stares at Kensou.
"... che. You..." Iori spits blood into the ground, his voice grating and irritable. He takes a single step forward, and then...

COMBATSYS: Iori takes no action.

"... are an idiot." The Yagami heir's hands slide into his pocket as he takes that single step forward, weakly. He holds his ground, however. And in that single moment, he gives a condescending snort, turning and walking away with a slight limp. "What a freak." Honestly. That was close, but will Iori ever admit it?
No away in hell.

COMBATSYS: Iori has ended the fight here.
