World Warrior 2007 - [Pre] Seishirou vs Sagat

Description: In the last one-on-one tournament. Seishirou Ryouhara made a name for himself by taking down the most impressive Krizalid. ... He's still got that, no matter what Sagat does. (Winner: Sagat)

The Mighty Sagat got word that he had been accepted into the World Warrior Tournament. Good for him, too. It would have been a little odd for the man that hosted the first World Warrior to be excluded from this one. In any case, his summons to Korea came not too long ago. His first bout had been scheduled and a site marked off near the Korean DMZ had been sectioned off. A ring of Barbed wire and roadblocks seperate the ring from the onlookers and soldiers. Sagat arrived here not too long ago to warm up. He is in his typical attire: Arm and Leg wrappings and his standard striped fighting shorts. As he awaits the beginning of his bout, he is throwing elbows into the air.

Getting clearance from South Korea was quite troublesome.

Ryouhara had no idea that that much paperwork existed in one place. He'd imagined that at the very least he could have enjoyed his celebrity status and been given a free pass. Didn't work that way, much to his dismay.

Korea as a whole was very touchy about unregistered aircraft.

The ninja is currently sitting in a reinforced bamboo basket, surrounded by an entire array of trinkets, weapons, and most of all, script. His small basket is filled with script, written on scrolls taped down to the flooring, written /off/ the margins of the wood and onto the floor of the basket itself. Crawling /up/ the basket walls and, even now, Ryouhara is completing the last set of calculations tersely needed to finish the last patch just on the edge of the top of the basket. Whew.

He looks up, tensely. Looks like we're here. With a yank, he cuts low the lamp.

Sagat might be able to see it now. It's a giant blimp.

Of a "NEO LEAGUE" turtle no less.

Seishirou will anchor it some 500 feet above the marked down area, his bag anchor slamming into the earth some ways away from the perimeter. Then he'll get ahold of the cable and slide down it some ways before hitting the arena floor nimbly.

He.. stares at Sagat, a little.

And frowns.

A final elbow is thrown at some unseen opponent. Sagat will keep his arm hovering in the air as he cuts his eye upwards. He gazes towards the vehicle in the air. His eye then follows his opponent towards the ground. When his opponent touches down, Sagat will simply impart a nod to the other combatant. The Thai Tiger will lower his arms down in front of him and begin to idly tighten at the strands that wrap his forearms. Sagat will then casually glance from one side to the other... taking in the spectators before returning his gaze to Seishirou, "I am ready when you are." An official outside the ring will begin to count down.

He keeps his satchel only half unzipped. This allows him to access his important items quickly. Right now, he needs a plan. He's seen Sagat around--even faced him once--but really, he still had very little knowledge of exactly what the man-mountain was capable of.

He's only heard stories.

And he doesn't like a one of them.

Seishirou nods once, brisk, to his opponent. His fist goes forward and straight, his hand goes back to his hip. That forward opens. "Don't hold back," he notes while his stance widens into something suitable for fighting. "No matter what."

That's the only way this fight will be real.

When the count hits 0? Seishirou is ready.

A weathered brow rises at the statement made by Sagat's opponent. An amused grunt and a show of teeth in a wicked smile is pretty much the only response to 'Don't Hold Back' that Sagat ever has. The Mighty Thai will raise his arms up, his fists hovering just forward of his chest. He gives a nod to Seishirou, "You have nothing to worry about." He will say before springing forward. The Thai Tiger launches forward, his mighty legs tensed and sent him towards his opponent. The space between the two narrows. A leg is lifted and the Thai Fighter will skid to a stop as his leg raises and gets snapped towards his opponent's upper torso.

COMBATSYS: Sagat successfully hits Seishirou with Light Kick.

"Gnh!"

Seishirou is eclipsed by those tree trunks called legs from the former Emperor. As it lands in his torso, Seishirou can /feel/ his heart stop beating for an instant, blowing him clear off his feet and sending the ninja crashing into the dirt only a sick, twisting moment later.

The ninja sits there a moment, writhing. Hhh.. hhh.

He'll have to measure, and measure fast.

In one swift movement, Ryouhara twists, rolling and popping back to his feet in one smooth motion. From that same motion, the ninja throws a single kunai, aimed with an almost dead-eye precision at a very specific point on Sagat's hip. Against someone like Sagat, it's harder than it looks.

IF he can land it there? Well.

He'll make a single gesture with his hands and detonate the powder-packed weapon where it lay. He can't afford to take half measures here. That one kick was probably just him warming up. He'd have to see everything and he'd have to see it fast. If he's going to even stand a chance--if this battle is going to MEAN anything, it's going to be all or nothing.

COMBATSYS: Sagat endures Seishirou's Kunai Critical.

Sagat            0/-------/-----==|===----\-------\0        Seishirou

The Thai Tiger takes the Kunai attack like a man. The Tiger is struck by the kunai in his hip, just as the ninja intended. Why did he take it? It's because Sagat was too focused on rushing towards his opponent again. The Mountain of a Man doesn't normally allow an opponent time to think or strategize. Oh no. It's all about overwhelming offense! Sagat simply absorbs the impact of the blow and grits his teeth to deal with the sudden numbness in that section of his body. You know what? Beating on Seishirou should make the Thai Fighter feel better. How does he attempt to do this? He first lashes out with a knee. Attempting to make his opponent focus on his leg again. A split second after faking the knee strike, Sagat lashes out with thrusting forearm blow towards Seishirou's head.

COMBATSYS: Seishirou dodges Sagat's Medium Punch.

He.. wow.

Usually that cripples people.

Good to know.

Seishirou specializes in information. He is hardly surprised by Sagat's ability to otherwise completely ignore his exploding kunai. What is of infinite more concern is the fact that the Emperor is getting closer. Much closer. His ability to collect information moves very quickly. What it would take others three or four seconds to consider and collect, Ryouhara can observe and plan around in an instant.

Part of this is why Sagat's feint is met in an instant with a draw from his satchel, his eyes following the path of the knee closely. For a second, Ryouhara seems to not be paying much attention to the forewarm thurst at his head. But at the absolute last moment, the ninja darts to the side and behind, igniting something in his hand with a pop.

He was focusing on Sagat's leg because it will be his next target.

The Muay Thai master may become aware of several glints in the air. Very fine wires, very strong for what they're used for, and launched from a small mine detonated in the ninja's hands. Coiling, the wires will fall around Sagat's leg. It's, of course, laughable to consider that Seishirou could tie Sagat up for any period of time. But he'd only need the instant necessary to apply savage pressure on the leg, to pull Sagat off his stance and.. /hopefully/, land him on his face.

COMBATSYS: Sagat blocks Seishirou's Leafwalking.

Perhaps it was a laughable tactic. And perhaps Sagat may have chuckled if he were a spectator. But he's not. He's in here and experiencing this most interesting of techniques. The wires do coil around his mighty leg and Sagat acts instantly. He pulls his leg back and tries to hop backwards, attempting to pull away from the wires. Once he jumps back, a quick shake of his leg is given and Sagat refocuses on his opponent. He quickly crouches and within an instant he is moving again. Like lightning, Sagat leaps up from his crouch and is careening through the air, "TIGER CRUSH!" He shouts as he thrusts his knee out towards Seishirou.

COMBATSYS: Seishirou fails to counter Tiger Crush from Sagat with Ryuuouin.

Just what is this man?

When Sagat pulls away from the wires, it's notable that Seishirou falters forward /just trying to keep a hold on him/. As well as his wires work to bind even the strongest of fighters, they will ultimately snap underneath Sagat's weight, leaving Seishirou with a loose wire in his hands.

He can do things with that.

There!

When Sagat surges forward, Seishirou's hand whips out again. He'll need to attach it to Sagat for just a moment. IT will help him pull Sagat /to/ him, and slingshot /past/ him, which will let him tou--

Okay, new plan.

As if hit by a train, the ninja goes spinning into the air. He may or may not have been able to even touch Sagat with a milky-white smoke in his hand, which would have culminated in tragically partial placement of the youth's spinning leaves clan symbol. Regardless of whether he does or does not, it's hardly any concern of his right now--he's currently twisting through the air, dazed.

Whatever the Ninja plans to do, he fails at it. The Mighty Thai Legend will collide with Seishirou with the Tiger Crush technique. Sagat will land neatly on his feet, a scowl on his face. An irritated grunt escapes the Legend as he watches his opponent careen through the air. His head shakes and he rushes again after the Ninja. Sagat will keep up the offensive. He plans to meet Seishirou just after he lands. The Thai Tiger does not want to give his opponent any time to think or even recover after the Tiger Crush. When Sagat approaches he will swing his leg again, attempting to slam his wrapped shin against some part of Seishirou's body.

COMBATSYS: Sagat successfully hits Seishirou with Medium Kick.

This.. isn't going well.

Seishirou is getting beaten. Hard.

Before the ninja even has time to right himself, Sagat just kicks him clear out of the air, blowing him back down to the ground, the ninja hitting the ground with a wet and... well, rather bloody crunch. Several of his trinkets scatter from his satchel. Amidst the array of smoke bombs, kunai, compasses, scrolls and gyros (!), he bounces off the earth no less than two times before slowly rolling away, by some miracle of modern martial arts training.

Hhh.

His feet come slowly underneath him, but Seishirou is hardly going to stand there swaying. He sepcifically requested that Sagat not hold back, and if he wasted even a second, the man mountain would simply break him and go home. Though his head is literally spinning, Seishirou stands and focuses on pure force of will. Using the healing jutsu would just be useless nonsense at this point--the time is better spent on other things, like putting his plans into action.

"I thought I'd need to use it," the ninja coughs, red sliding down his lips.

He makes a handseal.

Every item that he scattered--every compass, every map, every inventory. Every item he scattered is just another way to house the necessary elements to create smoke. And create smoke he does. A lot of it, a second fog engulfing the battlefield. He's always had a problem with the cameras of these publicized matches. They keep him from revealing--no, /testing/ his best techniques and abilities without them being available for free analysis. No, under the cover of shadow, he'll show Sagat what, prior, only his apprentice has ever seen. Sliding to one side to confuse his exact position, he'll flick a small penny very high into the air, and begin the series of handseals for it.

Up in his blimp, the sigils grow red.

Later analysis of videotapes will produce very little evidence as to what EXACTLY Seishirou did.

But Sagat might be able to tell. The ninja hovers about half the distance of the blimp directly above his location, guided only by sense and training alone. He is currently clinging to the seal-wrapped hilt of a long Japanese ceremonial straight sword.

All around it, its blade is limned with charged exploding marks.

Most importantly, it is roughly four times Seishirou's size.

He attacks stunningly fast in the confusion.

Seishirou is going to ride the blade all the way to the earth. Hopefully, he'll impale Sagat on the massive thing. Failing that, he'll detonate the exploding marks to generate a firestorm.

Of course. He'll do it anyway even if Sagat is cut with this sword.

The Mighty Tiger will halt his overwhelming offensive tactic when he gets surrounded by smoke. This opponent likes to utilize gimmicks doesn't he? The Tiger will just get into a defensive position and scan around him. His eye darts about not frantically, but cautiously. He's attempting to catch a glimpse of his opponent. A glimpse is all the Muay Thai God is going to get. He looks up for the briefest of moments and swiftly swings his powerful arms up into the air. He forms a blocking stance and twists at the last possible moment. Seishirou's Level 5 technique will collide with Sagat's powerful arms just as he begins to twist. This lessens the blow and lessens the recovery time. After spinning to the side, Sagat will leap into the air and pounce forward after the ninja. He thrusts out a fist, hoping to catch the ninja recovering after his impressive technique!

COMBATSYS: Sagat successfully hits Seishirou with Jab Punch.

The sword is meant to penetrate into the ground and stick there, and from there, Seishirou can use it as a focal point and a base of operations for future attacks. Or so the plan goes.

It is MEANT to penetrate into the ground. Clearly, Seishirou did not calculate that something could simply bounce an almost two story long length of charged exploding steel, however light an alloy it might be, off of his body as if it were nothing. That causes the sword to tip. While Seishirou could have compensated for it by triggering seals, he also has Sagat to deal with. And though he honestly tries to catch Sagat and put him into a position where he retains control, let's face it. Sagat is very fast, and Ryouhara is very stunned. What kind of beast blocks something like that so fully?

The punch to the face is almost boring in comparison.

When the explosions begin to go off, the smoke Seishirou created is cleared out pretty quickly--the charged chi blasts Seishirou was using were relatively smokeless, leaving only a dim haze. It clears just in time to catch him flying off the handle of the giant sword as it crashes to the earth. It's only by the utmost determination that he remove one of the small paper seals before he's punched off the massive weapon.

That sets off a chain reaction of the wrapped seals around the weapon's hilt. THat reaction causes several explosions of charged senbon needles in Sagat's vicinity. Sadly, it will likely not be enough to compensate for the fact that Seishirou likely won't stay conscious through his catastrophic landing.

COMBATSYS: Seishirou can no longer fight.

Base of Operations? Sagat is going to inadvertantly invade Seishirou's Base of Operations? Sweet. Sagat feels the warm satisfaction of shoving his fist into someone's soft body. MMmmmm. Nothing like it. Of course... that ooooh so nice feeling gets interrupted by Seishirou's Prime Tactics! The explosions of charged Senbon needles meets the unwavering defense of Sagat's body. The Legendary Thai Warrior will simply land and absorb the various blows that await him. When all is said and done, Sagat just stands there. His fighting stance is still raised and he appears that he is ready for more. Is Seishirou?

"augh..."

The ninja lay in the middle of a shallow dust crater where Sagat put him. Bleeding and broken, Seishirou is crumpled up like a gum wrapper that's been stepped on one too many times, some ways away from Sagat. Alive, but he is not moving.

No, to get up would only incite further pain.

Unconsciousness is the next best option.

The tournament official will call it only a moment later. SAGAT WINS.

Sagat will look across the ring at his opponent. His expression is neutral. He just stares at him with that one eye and that patch of his. Sagat inclines his head downwards in a quick nod and just turns around. The Thai Warrior will stride towards the edge of the fighting area after he's declared the winner. There is much to think about for the Thai. This fight among the various things he needs to sort out in his mind...

COMBATSYS: Sagat has ended the fight here.
