World Warrior 2007 - [Pre] Jiro vs Rolento

Description: In an abandoned church at Great Britain, Jiro and Rolento face off against each other for a place in the tournament. (Winner: Draw)

Within the darkness shines a brilliant light.
It has been a dark church that seemed to have been abandoned for some time. While it was not burned down, no one has actually entered the place in years. There were stories that said the place was haunted by a ghost of a vengeful widow whose husband was killed by the pastor's wife. And she too was murdered in this church.
But contrasting it, the church has its beauty as a red carpet has been set on theg round, with pews to each side with a candle set right behind it.
Further within the church is a large alter with two sets of tri-pronged candles nearby. And the standing desk rests at the very center with a cross on its very center.
The glass-stained lights seem quite old, not been washed in sometime. The walls look like it corroded from its years of not tending to, but it still stands due to what it has been made up of.
The Stray Dog is entering the church, with the trenchcoat wrapped around him as both hands are tucked in his pocket. Finally emerging from his seclusion from society, the Stray Dog has both hands fixated in his pockets. Shutting his eyes, the young man looks up at the altar.
"...Cursed, vengeful ghost. Bullshit." He turns around to face the other entrance of the church. "It's safe."
A camera man enters, preparing to roll the footage of the fight. He's a little shakey, but he sets the camera down, gets the tripod up, and builds up his recording stand.

The classic sound of Rolento approaching resounds through the church, building up in velocity. Whumpwhumpwhump. A helicopter; And one with significant power. It arcs over the the roof, for just a moment heard going away before returning in order to hover. Anyone who films one of Rolento's fights has reason to be fearful, for he has no compunctions for collateral damage. After a few moments there's an incredible detonation, as the roof not far from Jiro crashes inwards. The flaming wood crashes a few meters from the altar, smoldering and not yet beginning to extinguish. The carpet and benches risk catching alight on this, as a thirty-foot hole now shows the sleek Blackhawk above.
Shink! Down Rolento descends on his line, headfirst. At the bottom he flips forward to land in a crouch, flicking it off and allowing it to retract. The commando looks far better then Jiro would have remembered. Younger, stronger, less weathered by age and harsh climate. Although the Stray Dog has advanced, so has he, if not in ways that might be expected.
"Jiro Kasagi..." The baton is unsheathed and tapped lightly against a palm, Rolento ignoring the growing bonfire behind. This church looks like it might die this day regardless.
"It is regretful you will never see the official roster of the World warrior tournament. But my recruitment needs are more important then your ego. I offered you a place to grow stronger, in mind and body! Your neutrality..." The latter word is spoken with some amount of venom. "...Thusly means nothing in this engagement. Let us get this over with."

COMBATSYS: Rolento has started a fight here.

COMBATSYS: Jiro has joined the fight here.

The sound of the approaching helicopter draws a snort from the young man, who turns around to walk to a further distance. And once the sound of the approaching explosion upon the rooftop is echoed, the Stray Dog exhales a sigh, "And there is the entrance..."
But, when Jiro looks over towards Rolento, the changes do catch his attention. Not only that, but the flames swirling around the church. As the bonfire is spreading, the Stray Dog lets his attention focus back on his opponent. The following statements made causes the boy to roll his eyes.
"You are still on about that? Psft. Whatever." He flicks his wrist out, drawing forth a middle finger towards Rolento's way. Then, he immediately lunges forward, aiming to sprint closer to Rolento.
He comes forth by taking off of the ground slightly to thrust the right leg in a snap kick, then the left leg follows suit. But those two are actually feints, as he draws his right arm out in order to hook along the batoned arm and he aims to thrust his weight down to thrust Rolento to the ground. Basically an armbar toss.

The camera man, however, is shaking, but he's still filming.

COMBATSYS: Rolento interrupts Quick Throw from Jiro with Fierce Punch.
- Power hit! -

Jiro             0/-------/----===|-------\-------\0          Rolento

Indeed, the inferno swirling around the area bears no important to Rolento, who simply stands firm. Despite one particularly scorching log falling nearby, enough to lick his boots. It's spreading with rapid speed in the dry foundation, consuming the carpet and giving the entire area the flickering haze of hell. Touchingly familiar to the U.S.P.L. commander.
"I see you still do not understand that disrespect to me can require crippling discipline." Rolento snarls, upon the middle finger being extended. "Affirmative. There will be no mercy. This shall be an execution." There's no initial motion as Jiro slithers forward, and engages in the pair of feints. Both are completely transparent to the commando, who has seen and masterminded them far longer then the Stray Dog has been alive. And the moment that hand grips his wrist, momentarily halting the baton from moving, Rolento shows why God hath given his people two fists with which to strike.
A truly devastating backhand is offered to Jiro's face, echoing within the church despite the growing crackle. The intent is to send him into the ground, a fair distance away. "Pathetic." is the only thing offered, Rolento finally assuming a combative stance. Prepared to charge!

This is perhaps why going for something of feints and such is not Jiro's style, but it is something new that he has been hoping to deal with. The young man grunts as the young man is preparing to throw the older man with the armbar attack. At least, until the other fist comes out of nowhere to strike the younger man across the face. This causes a bit of blood to come from the nose as it twists uncomfortably.
He immediately finds himself sprawling across the wall, then he lands on his back. He groans a bit, muttering before he kicks his legs back and he pushes himself up. "Tsch!" The young man immediately sprints at Rolento, leaping off of the ground with a spinning crescent kick towards the head.

COMBATSYS: Rolento interrupts Heavy Kick from Jiro with Grenadier.

Jiro             1/-------/=======|==-----\-------\0          Rolento

One baton shifts upwards, catching the kick and snapping upwards to force Jiro to collapse upon his back, with likely a small amount of discomfort. However, given that suddenly Rolento backflips a rather impressive height thereafter, that would be considerably heightened as a single grenade is hurled through the air. It impacts adjacent to the Stray Dog, unleashing a massive explosion that likely causes the cameraman to duck and take some time stabilizing anew. Rolento lands atop one of the pews, already in the midst of being licked by flames, a few meters away. His baton rests on a shoulder, and his face is etched in cold brutality. "..." Nothing is said, as nothing needs to be. There's little question in the commando's mine who's going to win this engagement. And any chance of going easy was forfeit the moment Jiro extended that finger of his.

Once he catches the kick and ships his body upward to send Jiro on his back,t he boy grunts at the impact and he looks up. His eyes widen as the explosion fromt he grenade blasts against him. "****!" The explosion being covered along the boy, the young man growls under his breath, especially on the impact of the incoming onslaught.
Fine, time to draw forth the big guns. With that in mind, the fist tightens on the Stray Dog, then the fist forms a blazing chi. The flames are burning with a bright white aura. When he takes his stance, he immediately charges forth towards Rolento, aiming to plant the fist straight at the older man's chest.
The flaming punch loses its flame and appears as a colorless ball surrounding the fist, aiming to smash against Rolento with an explosive power.

COMBATSYS: Rolento interrupts Exploder Knuckle from Jiro with Mekong Delta.

Jiro             1/----===/=======|=====--\-------\0          Rolento

"Hmmph." Rolento snorts, as Jiro rushes forward with that ball of chi upon his fist. He's still rather uselessly slow, and the chances of punishing it are significantly higher then anything else the commando has. The punch does manage to graze the commando as he backflips anew, flipping his heels over his head. But the second he lands he rushes forward in a tight ball, obliterating the pew adjacent and striking Jiro with devastating force. Enough to literally bounce himself into the air and then land anew, finally standing up and brushing at the smear of soot where that fist made contact. "Your last assault was actually significant. A shame you lack the guidance, discipline and analyzation to insure they strike. But you care only about fighting with passion and hatred. Fueling your power is insignificant if you lack the mental faculties to guide it..."

The fist guiding the Stray Dog towards Rolento does not reach as home as he wanted, as the impact of the man curled in a ball catches his attention. Like a bowling ball, Jiro finds himself at the position of being the pin. Hoping to turn that around by sending the man back, the Stray Dog merely tries to drive himself towards Rolento's back, which he does manage to make contact.
The Stray Dog, unfortunately, gets the worst end of the impact as he's sprawling against one of the burning pews. "****!" Shards and fragments fly up as the impact has Jiro on his back. He growls irritibly, narrowing his eyes as he looks up at the sky. Annoyed to a high degree, the young man slowly leans himself up. "Hrmph." He slowly gets back up to his feet, wiping his cheek before he shakes his head wildly.
The fist ignites with the burning passion; his fury. There is the difference with as Rolento describe it. It is not hatred that drives his power. That was long gone. It is his anger and his fury, and he has plenty of it. Right now, that anger is focused on this particular man. "...I."
The flames grow bigger, the white aura becoming a burst before it spreads around him as he keeps a sharp eye on Rolento. His right leg slides forward as a left arm moves back slightly. "Serve."
He darts forward, tucking his head low to close the distance between himself and Rolento. Jiro draws forth the fury at its highest power, immediately thrusting the fist out once he gets close. The erupting flames become explosive as they come close to Rolento. "NO ONE!"
Should it makes impact, there will be a whipping lashing of chi erupting forth in a burst against Rolento.

COMBATSYS: Jiro successfully hits Rolento with Vandal Breaker.

Jiro             0/-------/------=|=======\===----\1          Rolento

The difference between anger and hatred is probably significant only to Jiro. Rolento can see much of it, a rich tapestry in the other boy. Rather useless. A horse best put down rather then broken, regardless of talents. Ah, Kain must have been rather horrific. As he approaches, there was a rather token attempt to shift backwards, apparently not concerned about the maximum ability that Jiro holds. So when such is managed, he doubles over. Hnngh---It's the gout of chi which seems to hurt, sending Rolento flying backwards and impacting a pillar, shattering it and sending a cascade of debris piling on the hapless commando. But a few moments later he bursts out, rising with a hiss and spitting bloodily to the side. "Enough of this." Rolento's free hand grasps something and pulls up. A gleam of a wire. "I shall publicly hang you now, Jiro Kasagi. Then leave you to your fate in this burning church." Telling him exactly what he plans? The helicopter is certainly right above the hole above, already descending the hook. "Do what you will with these last moments. Your attempt to defend or attack is irrelevant."

COMBATSYS: Rolento focuses on his next action.

Jiro             0/-------/------=|=======\===----\1          Rolento

Useless, huh? After the explosion, the Stray Dog is slowly turning his back to look away from Rolento. However, he thinks to himself of the situation. His eyes shift back towards the older man, snorting with a very irritible look behind him. As he considers his options, the young man turns his attention back at Rolento.
"...You're annoying."
Jiro keeps watch of Rolento, just waiting for his chance. That's all that he wants at this point. His chance.

COMBATSYS: Jiro focuses on his next action.

Jiro             0/-------/------=|=======\===----\1          Rolento

"Ready?" Rolento mulls, before snapping up his arm. The wire shoots up from the ground, at a speed most people could not perceive. Calculating precisely where Jiro is going to go, in what direction, which way his body will flex, and at the likely speed. Regardless of his decision, unless Rolento is wrong... the weapon will snap around his neck, and instantly cut off the very flow of blood to his head. Whether the man's arrogant calculations prove correct or not will be decided in this moment...

COMBATSYS: Rolento successfully hits Jiro with Take No Prisoner.

Jiro             0/-------/------=|-------\-------\0          Rolento

Yet Rolento is never wrong, at least by a margin that can be called such. Hapless Jiro is snagged, and a moment later Rolento hurtles upwards, the wire in tow. It's snapped over the descended hook, before his momentum increases. Jiro is hauled up about ten meters, the back of his head slamming into it.
"GO!!"
Rolento impacts the ground with his fist, suddenly tripling the pressure on Jiro. He doesn't stop, to the point it might risk severing through and cutting the hapless boy's head off. And then twirls his baton, tapping it once against the line. The tension is so high it immediate snaps... and allows Jiro to fall, within the midst of the bonfire continuing to fill the room.
The commando stands thereafter, sheathing his weapon. "Mission completed." And he begins to walk towards the exit, pace unhurried.

This is quite the predictament, due to the fact that Rolento is having the wire lash from everywhere. It is to the point to where Jiro can't quite trace it. He grits his teeth annoyed with a strangle growl as his neck is caught into the hold of the wire. Once caught, he is finally hurled up, his eyes lift up as he tries to pressure himself to hold against the choking grip.
~ ....God damnit, Jiro! Hold on! ~
The Stray Dog tightens his grip onto the rope, then he makes a strangled noise. The pressure tightens as he's off the ground, then he's finally released as a heap. Collapsing on the ground, the Stray Dog looks like he's out.
But, as soon as Rolento turns his back, both eyes spring open and he coughs. Taking a deep breath, the Stray Dog lifts himself up and starts to stagger on from the first foot, then the next foot. Gasping for breath, he coughs several times, before he spits in disgust.
A hand reaches into the sky, then the fist tightens into a grip. His eyes narrow at Rolento as he states, "Right then." His aura is starting to form as the chi of raw power erupt around him.
Right at the edge of where Rolento stands, almost three feet from the boy, Jiro has a glowing circle sprawled on the ground, mostly to signify a cage of the expanding power of the chi burst. But, nothing's released. In stead, several holes are noted alike the position of a geyser.
"This is my congratulations present for you eliminating me." The hand sparkles a moment later, drawing forth the chi to start dancing in the air. The chi releases a light from the edge of the circle and starts closing in towards Jiro as a spiraling mist surrounds him. All of it converges right into the Stray Dog's hand. It shines.
Fury is a powerful thing. Because it is uncontrolled. Because of that, it has no discrimination.
"REBEL SPIKE!"
He slams his fist straight towards the ground. Soon, the chi is finally exploding out with righteous fury as the flaying and spraying chi bursts from the ground, erupting into the air like geysers. Several of them come to life along the 'grounds' made by Jiro. Rapidly flashing everywhere, the geysers spread out to spray everywhere around and at Rolento.
Regardless on the onslaught's results, Jiro soon falls on his knees with his hands in front of him to keep him steady.

COMBATSYS: Jiro can no longer fight.

COMBATSYS: Rolento fails to interrupt Rebel Spike from Jiro with Mekong Delta.
-* CRITICAL FAIL! *-

COMBATSYS: Rolento can no longer fight.

Oh, Rolento underestimated Jiro. Far too much. That was his miscalculation within this engagement. Turning around, Rolento slowly draws out his baton anew, twirling it and beginning to advance upon the boy. "Do you not realize the gap between us yet?!" is snarled, before he bursts into a run, flipping through the air with intent of striking it into Jiro before he can finish his onslaught. But instead the surge of chi envelopes him, consumes him, and Rolento is blown into a wall. Which promptly collapses, burying Rolento in scorching rubble. Actually, the entirety of the church is now beginning to fall from Jiro's last blast, and those present would probably leave if they know what's good for them, Jiro included. But it's difficult now to determine who exactly won... Is it a draw? Well, they can leave that to the judges...
