Description: A fight taking place in an abandoned steel mill in Pittsburg, PA. A classic back and forth clash that soon turns one sided when the ninja decides to stop playing and gets serious with the competition. (Winner: Eiji)
Welcome to to steel town, Pittsburg in the state of good ole P.A. It is one of the fortunate towns that will be holding one of the first round fights for the World Warrior tournament. The location is a bit of an odd one. One of the old abandoned mills has been selected. The crowd is sparse as is the amount of camera men. Not that they couldn't have more, but one of the fighters in this fight isn't exactly the most trustworth of individuals. Of course Eiji may be a cold blooded killer, but the fans mean nothing to him at this point. There is no money in their deaths. Of course if one got in his way that could be a different story.
The ground has been cleaned of most debris and up in the rafters the ninja calmly waits. A chain dangles near him and he is mostly concealed by the shadows aside from the slight light in the otherwise dim place that just gives away his position by showing the outline of Eiji resting on the rafters. He looks prepared, no doubt about it. Almost murdering Vega has him riding on a big high and tonight he plans to make a mark if he can. Tonight Heavy D! is in for the fight of his life.

Of course, that doesn't mean the boxer is going to be an easy battle himself. As soon as he heard about this tournament and got his invitation, he's been training non-stop. Perfecting his technique, upping his speed and agility, as well as increasing his proficiency with the arcane, finicky stuff known as chi. In any case, D! finally makes his way into the fighting area, a few cheers from knowledgable fans greeting him. Smiling and feeling the same familiar rush he felt when he and the others first made their way into King of Fighters, he tosses his fist up, showing that he's ready.
As he finally walks into the cleared area, he starts tossing out quick warm-up jabs, feet shuffling just to make sure he's got everything in working order. He's gotta be in top condition here if he wants to make a good showing right now. He's trained incessantly for this moment...and he's not about to go down without giving back what he's given. Now....all that's left is his opponent. It never did strike D! to look up to find him, of course.

If anything at least Eiji wasn't paired up with a woman. They actually saw fit to give him a proper opponent in the boxer. His gaze falls upon the other fighter as he watches him silently and seeming quite content in staying where he is for now. "So he finally arrives." he says in a soft murmur before straightening up to his less than imposing full height. "Consider this a curse or a blessing to fight me. I care not. Show me what you can do."
With that being said the ninja leaps down and breaks into a dead run right towards the other fighter. His hands flare up red with energy as he charges and then there is a lunge forward to throw his hand out straight towards the boxer. Only the result is Eiji going right through D!, or more that the copy of Eiji goes through while the true Eiji remains behind to slice right down the frontside of the boxer with a quick slice.

While the sudden descent and landing of Eiji is a surprise, D!'s hardly a slouch. As soon as Eiji sprints forward, he's hunkered down and ready to meet the assassin head on. While the phasing copy is a surprise, D! figures the best defense is to push forward. If the image tries to attack him, he can at least push out of it's range...and if the front attacks instead, he's in better position to defend.
It seems like a good tactic too, as he manages to slide in just as Eiji slashes, weaving away from the deadly attack. Missing it by a hair, D! quickly tries to take advantage of this, his left hand snapping in to hook a blow right into Eiji's stomach.

A swing and a miss, but that hardly stops Eiji's momentum as he lets himself continue forward while moving to the side to avoid the incoming punch while letting out a soft tch. So the man can read his movements pretty well despite the speed advantage. Eiji will have to be careful of this one indeed. For now he decides it is best to just take time to feel out the other fighter in which that means probably keeping himself in close and trying to go toe to toe with the other fighter for a short while. That starts when he is diving past the boxer and he turns about to swing a foot around to slam right into D's backside to knock himforward and off balance while pushing off the man's back to flip around and land gracefully on the ground.

Watching Eiji speed by and slip behind him, D! growls. He doesn't have time to block, and he's not exactly the type to specialize in the kind of attacks that can easily be thrown behind him. Rather than try to shore up defenses, however, D! simply turns the best he can, taking the hard kick to his side. He lurches slightly, but it only slows the forward momentum he uses to charge at Eiji while the ninja flips back. Intent on giving as good as he's taken, D! shows off his own speed, his image fading as he slides forward, until he pops back up, intent on landing several sharp hook punches all around Eiji's ribs.

Being short has its advantages at times. Given the nature of the attack it just means ducking low allows the ninja to let his rather beefy arms absorb most of the hits being made instead of using his speed to get out of the way. The deathglare he has never breaks away from meeting with D's eyes. There might even be a hint of a smile forming behind the mask of the ninja as he finally jumps back and reaches into his gi. "Very interesting. You are much better than I had hoped. We should have a fun time." His voice is oddly calm despite the look he is giving and soon he takes off again, his hand whipping out to toss two kunai quickly in the direction of the boxer while leaping up to catch himself and swing about to bring himself back up to the rafters.

Rather than give Eiji the time to escape by dodging or absorbing the tossed kunai, D! keeps the pressure on. Snapping his right arm up, he tossed out a mean looking uppercut, a burst of energy arcing from his arms and the ground like an explosion. The force knocks the kunai away, sending them spinning and flying off to the edges of the clearing. As for the leaping Eiji...he might not get away clean, if at all, if he's not careful. "Stay down here!"

The blast sails through the kunai easily enough and even hits the ninja. It is enough to cause him to emit a slight grunt, but nothing more as he keeps his ground. "Now then. Fighting is all about finding advantages and disadvantages." he says in that same kind of tone as he remains where he is for the most part. He does wander along the steel beam that he is standing on and paces about some looking for an opening. "For example I now know I am not totally safe up here." he says then pauses while straightening himself up and crossing his arms over his chest. "Now the question is can you knock me off?" he asks with a slight cant of his head to regard the other fighter.

Heavy D! looks up at the Ninja as he manages to escape into the air anyways, despite being hit by the blast upper. Snorting, he rests his fists on his hips, shaking his head at the almost LECTURING Ninja. He's not going to be lectured by someone who has to hide up in the rafters! "Why don't we find out?" D! says, taking him up on his challenge. Rather than try and go up after Eiji, however, D! decides to take a different approach. While sending a shock up that high would be difficult...it'd likely be easier to get him off balance from that high if he manages. So walking up to the nearest vertical girder connected to Eiji's beam, D! pulls back his left hand...and punches into the beam. He's tough enough that punching hard steel won't hurt him TOO bad...but the question is whether or not the punch will make enough of a shock that Eiji will feel it up there.

The resourcefulness is enough to earn quite a bit of respect from the ninja, but perhaps it is also meaning that it is time for him to get serious. The punch is enough to throw the ninja off balance, but he then falls backwards off of it to land in a low crouch not far off from the boxer. He quickly stands up and his hands ingnite with the energy again before he gathers it into a ball that he throws towards D at a rather slow pace. That is until the ball itself explodes into several needle like spikes that rain down onto the other fighter.

Heavy D! knows well enough not to show the same trick too many times, and he doesn't want to exert himself too much so early either. So when the spirit ball flies out toward him, D! simply shores up his defenses, arms coming up to guard him. When it explodes into needles, D! tightens his guard, making sure he takes as little damage on it as he can. ONce the rain of chi needles finishes, D! backs up slightly, taking a bit of a breather. "Nice trick," he says, his fists flexing slightly before tightening back up again.

The explosion is just a precusor for the ninja to rush back in quickly. The boxer may get a bit of a breather, but any attempt to get a nice long one isn't going to help since Eiji is quick to press his attack. Ducking low he lunges forward again while leaping upwards at the last moment to grab onto the steel beam above him. He twists his body about to slam his feet hard into it then he rockets himself right off and straight down towards D while spinning about and attempting to drill both of his feet right on the top of the fighter's head.

As Eiji flies forward, using the needle storm as cover, D! prepares. While the Ninja's quick, D!'s got some speed of his own, especially fist speed. SHoring up his bets on that fists speed, D! waits for Eiji to come, and when the spinning drill kick flies toward him, he tries to snap his arm up to catch Eiji mid kick and knock him back down. Unfortunately, D! miscalculates, and only gets kicked in the head, forcing the boxer to backpedal from the jarring attack. "NGhhh..."
The ninja is quick to push off the other fighter once his hit lands and realizes he was rather close to being hit himself. He bounces back and flips back and snatches the chain out of the air to hold onto it and remain hanging with one hand. "Not bad, but you will have to try harder than that." he says and slides down the chain slowly and settles both feet on the ground. HE then hefts it up and starts to swing it about before then lashing it out forward to just bludgeon Heavy D rather hard on the head with the flung steel links. IT seems that moving about quickly is what is going to allow him to have the advantage in this fight. Keeping his distance might just be what he needs.

Heavy D! unfortunately can't seem to avoid being pegged by that chain, the steel snapping right into his head, forcing the boxer back and causing him to stumble into the ground. Hissing, and holding his head, the boxer quickly pushes himself back up, his vision slightly blurred from that hit. "I guess you're right, huh..." he says, getting back to his feet and solidifying his base once more, guard tight, feet planted and ready to spring, knees loose...time to bring this up a notch.

There is no response from Eiji at the comment. Instead he just watches and waits much like a cat toying with a mouse. Is he getting overconfident? Yes, yes he is. Of course he is feeling like he might have figured out the other fighter. "Are you admitting defeat already? Don't be so disappointing." he finally says while stepping away from the chain and raising his hands preparing for any oncoming assault that the boxer may bring. If the boxer wants to wait and see what might happen he will just have to wait longer because Eiji is taking time to size up the man right now.

Heavy D! snorts. "You wish," D! says, feeling oddly conversational for the usually no nonsense boxer. Maybe it's just being in such a big name tournament like this that loosens the street boxer up. Of course, when Eiji holds back in response to D!'s own drop back, the boxer has little else to do but attack. And attack he does. Quickly, the boxer charges forward, reeling his arm back, as if ready to uppercut Eiji as soon as he approaches. However, once in range, the uppercut reveals itself as a feint, D!'s left arm instead coming around and above to drop down with an overhead smash into the ninja's shoulder.

It does seem that the ninja looks to be quite prepared for the boxer when he comes in. He starts to step back from that first strike, but his eyes quickly lock onto that other fist and he reaches out a hand to slam into the wrist of D to push it away while jumping back. He skids back a few steps then grins slightly behind his mask. "There we go. That is what I wanted to see. Get angry! Punch me till I no longer move. That is what I want. No holding back." With that he rushes forward at a quickened pace and he lunges forward again with hands igniting in red to bring it across the boxer's side to cut both cloth and skin if it connects.

Maybe charging in like that was a mistake. It seems like Eiji's quickly able to knock away his feinted Rock Crush...and before he can even react, he feels the bite of Eiji's blade cut deep into his side, his jacket and flesh tearing away in a flush of red as D! lurches away. "NGHHhhh..." Wincing, he glares toward Eiji. He's not going down this easy. He can't, not when he worked so damn hard to get here. Ignoring the sting in his side, D! quickly wings out a powerful set of punches, intent on battering Eiji down just like suggested. It's not a mad rush, though, as the boxer manages to keep a certain rhythm, a certain finesse to his powerful assault. It almost looks like his fists are dancing as they snap across, trying to clock the ninja one good.

Quickly turning about from his attack the ninja is greeted with a flurry of blows that batter his thick upper body and send him staggering back. Yet despite all the punishment he is taking there is barely a grunt or a wince from Eiji as he staggers back and shakes off the slight dizzyness. "Not bad at all. You are worthy of fighting me." he says while straightening his gi. He then crouches low. "Prepare yourself." he murmurs then at lightning speed he bursts forward again to assault D with an attack of his own. His whole body goes ablaze with chi as he slams into the boxer with a flurry of kicks and punches to punish his whole body before a final loud cry causes the ninja to explode and send the fighter flying back if he gets caught in the full blast. Soon after the ninja lands a few feet away and turns his back to the other fighter letting out a light tch.

Seemingly unprepared as Eiji spurts forward this time, D! ends up subjected to a powerful assault of chi-embued kicks, punches, and finally, a large explosion that sends the boxer flying back to smash hard against one of the vertical girders. It doesn't look anywhere near good for him at this point, a large bleeding gash in his side, and bruises just about everywhere, compared to the relatively fresh state of Eiji. Still, D! has an ace up his sleeve. His left arm hanging slightly limp, the boxer straightens up, still looking quite defiant despite the beating he's taken. Lifting up his right arm, he lets all the energy he can muster flow into it. He's got one shot at this, otherwise it's lights out for him. Narrowing his eyes, D! reels his charged arm back....and finally....with a barely audible, pained grunt, his body twists, upper body pivoting and right fist snapping out in a vicious, straight punch. Finally, all that energy is released out, expelled forward like a cannon shot toward Eiji in hopes of blowing back the Ninja and giving D! some hope in this match.

So he still stands. The other fighter keeps impressing the ninja more and more. Yes, this is what he was hoping to find here at the World Warrior. He remains where he even as that powerful punch comes forth and then is released in the form of a giant blast along with it. It slams fully into the back of the ninja and there is a cracking noise as it sends him flying forward, his body looking rather limp as it slams into a steel pole and then falls to the ground in a very limp manner. "Very impressive. I shall keep you in mind when Krauser asks me for my report." comes the voice of the ninja right from behind D. There is then a strike aimed right at the back of the boxer to slam into him and cut along it to put the fighter hopefully once and for all.

Alas, it seems D!'s time is up, as his Magnum seems to utterly fail to do anything to improve his chances...and the final strike cutting into his back seems to punctuate the boxer's end. ANother flash of red erupts from his back, and D!, too stunned from expending himself on that final shot, drops forward, onto his knees, hanging there for a moment before the rest of his body follows, flopped onto his side. Oh yeah, he's out.

So the redwood has finally been toppled. There is a moment's hesitence as to see if the man was really down for the count, but then the ninja lets himself relax only slightly as the officials move to check on the fallen boxer. Any offered attention is brushed aside and the main official over the fight announces to the sparse fight "Winner: Eiji Kisaragi." There is a few claps from those gathered, but most seem to be quick to get out of the place now that the match is over. A victory not only for himself but also Strolheim as well. Krauser will be pleased to say the least. Taking one last glance over his shoulder at D the ninja hmphs lightly and then leaps upwards to disappear into the shadows of the mill. Time to prepare for the next challenge.
