SNF 2006.10 - Tag! Adelheid vs Sie/Aislinn

Description: Adelheid faces Kensou and Aislinn in a crazy handicap tag match at the Howard Arena! Kensou, still angry from Adelheid's earlier insult, is very nearly crushed straight off, but the unlikely tag partners stage a remarkable comeback, until... (Winner: Adelheid)

The booking agents do have a sense of humour. The last time he was scheduled to appear on this particular voyeuristic fighting phenomenon, it was against Sie Kensou. Adelheid chose to shun the meatbun-gulping buffoon... and didn't hear anything from Kensou, or the SNF officials since. So, he's back, and what match did they plan? Reinforcing the Psycho Soldier's chances. Sure, Kensou is probably capable... that's not Adel's point, and this time? Well, this time, it sure looks like one hell of a challenge. So naturally, he's here. Dressed just slightly more impressively than his normal utilitarian fashion... Loose slacks, clearly tailored just for him, are tucked crisply into matching heavy leather boots of the same pure, midnight black. A silver belt is wrapped around his waist, two metallic loops hanging several inches lower on either hip, similar metallic-coloured adornment slashing an arc of silver up either side of the front and back of his skintight, sleeveless black shirt. His hands are covered in gloves of fine, supple leather... the implements studded in numerous places with raised metal bits. Also, naturally, silver. That can't be comfortable, when delivered via fist.
The Bernstein heir's arms are crossed, at present, as he stands on 'his' end of the faux mountaintop dominating Howard arena, the final piece of his wardrobe being the subtle, wry smile he wears, touching his austere face with a hint of bemusement. Oh sure, he knows this is meant to be a challenge... even a test. It was plenty to draw him out, however, and the nature of at least one of his opponents, well... may make it all the sweeter. Aislinn is a wildcard, but if there's one thing Adelheid doesn't mind... it's surprises. No matter how painful, they tend to be interesting, when it comes to other fighters. And so he observes, and waits, and contemplates. In awesome rhyming fashion.

Of course Adelheid didn't hear anything from Kensou, Chin raised him better than that! It was sort of a 'don't rise to the bait for once in your life' thing, really... He wasn't about to validate Adel's snubbing by going after him, but oh... Oh did it stick in the Psycho Soldier's craw. But now he's got the chance to make up for all of that, since the powers that be had decided to match him up against with the same guy who had totally dissed him weeks before. Okay, sure, Kensou has a /partner/, but that just pisses him off even more. Like he needs help to take some mouthy brat?

Wearing his usual fighting gear, Kensou comes out with little of his usual exuberance or running or hilarious and embarassing antics. He just walks out to the fighting stage, stepping up onto it casually, and checking his gloves. He's ready, of course; despite his usual appearances, he's /always/ ready. Now they just need his tag partner to show up. He's also totally acting like Adelheid isn't even there, not even deigning to bring out the smack talk or anything. It's so middle school.

Adelheid Bernstein. A relatively new fighter, at least, in the public scene, but his few official fights have been impressive. Standing out particularly in Aislinn's mind is his fight with Foxy--whereupon he most thoroughly destroyed her. It would be nice, reflects Aislinn, to get a bit of revenge for NESTS and for Foxy. However, she isn't that confident about her chances. Foxy is, despite her relatively gentle nature, still a stronger fighter than Aislinn herself is. If she were facing him alone... she might not come back in good shape. Even in this match--with a partner--she may not end up doing too well. Kensou has a lot of history to him; one of the stronger fighters, it appears, although he's luck-prone, it seems, or so he claims. Still, perhaps the two of them can match up to the Bernstein heir.
Aislinn arrives just a few minutes before the match is to begin; she dresses as she always does, in her black leather Kula-inspired outfit; she's tightening her gloves up as she walks into the arena on the opposite side of Adel. Her expression is inscrutable, her eyes calm, almost blank. She says nothing; only offers Adel a quick nod. Kensou... gets the same. Her lavender eyes search Kensou's face for a moment, then she gestures towards Adel, clearly ceding the opening of the match the two testosterone-pumped males.

So, Geese Howard wishes to test the Bernstein son and heir. An arrangement which reeks of arrogance, a megalomaniac humouring himself above and beyond his station - though who would possibly object? For all his audacity, his presumptiveness, the man maintains a strangehold upon the populace which will no doubt allow him to escape this situation unsullied and unscathed. Today the immaculately-disguised crimelord will learn that pride can be damaged where reputation cannot. He'll learn that certain parties are more than capable of meeting his petty challenges.

A figure sweeps down the aisle toward the front row of seats, ornately frilled dress billowing about a delicate female form. Adelheid has taken his place upon the stage- but he is one of a pair. Blonde hair much like his in shade, but longer and fashioned in elaborate style, sways slightly as his sister turns at the arena's ground level, ignoring the screams of the punters around her with a closely guarded disdain. She is not here to associate with them. She is here to see her sibling dominate two lesser beings, and prove himself to a man whose hubris knows no bounds. Today, he shall learn.

Stopping beside a clearly reserved seat - most notably flanked by empty spaces on either side, these marked off in much the same manner, Rain graces the stage with an expectant smile, crimson eyes settling upon Adelheid's ready countenance. As she momentarily muses, two men, clad in dark suits and visibly armed, move to take sentinel positions beside the two empty seats. One carries an expensive cushion, which is placed upon Rain's chair before she begins to gracefully seat herself. The other lowers a tray, politely proferring a selection of exotic treats and a small carafe of chilled wine.

When observing such style in motion, one must be prepared to show similar excellence. A pity the daintier twin knows full well Adelheid's opponents will not rise to such a challenge. How could they?

So, Kensou is peeved. That only seems to amuse Adelheid further, his smile growing noticeably before it abates entirely, his expression drifting back to a stoic detachment after that momentary grin, his dark eyes considering Kensou, and Aislinn in turn. So, he gets the 'serious' Kensou this fight... perfect. There's really no response that the Psycho Soldier could have given that would have pleased Adel more than the one he gets... the other youth seething, intense, focused. No flippant gallantry, no overstated showmanship... Sie Kensou is here as a warrior. As for being a brat... well, one could certainly argue it. Many would! Others... have a very different picture of the young Bernstein's personality. Could it be that he's a different sort of showman?
There's one thing, and one thing only that Adel is interested in here... a challenging fight. Not making friends, not influencing people, not even victory or defeat. His actions, assinine as they may have been... have given him that, and that fact leave the previous smile glimmering in his deep, reddish-brown eyes as his attention returns to Kensou, focus narrowing in on the other youth with an almost sly, predatory air, "Good." he murmurs simply, summing up his inner monologue in a simple, pleased whisper. As the announcer winds down, and the fight winds up, Adelheid all but /blasts/ into motion. One might expect him to hold his ground, play on the defensive, set up and seperate the tag-team pair to meet on his terms... instead, he appears to be trying to dominate them on theirs, his form blurring with sudden acceleration as he sprints the distance of the 'mountaintop' to rush in on Kensou.
"Now, you're prepared!" The confident assertion comes timed with a flying axe-kick, his right foot leading in on Kensou's face after a sudden, darting feint. The force of the kick carries Adelheid's left boot slightly off the ground, and the intent here, should contact be made.... is to suddenly reverse those feet as his right touches down, left boot hurtling up and out in a potent thrust that clearly holds the potential to kick Kensou right /off/ the summit, if he's not careful.

To Kensou, Aislinn is pretty much a complete unknown... But she's his teammate here, so he's got to rely on her at least a little bit, right? Anyway, there's precious little time for him to actually respond to the nod he gets from the weird girl he's tagging with, because Adelheid's gone and taken the initiative! The Chinese martial artist sees the kick coming though, and takes a turning step out of the way at the last moment, whirling out of the way of young Bernstein's kicking combination.

"People like you piss me off the most," Kensou says from beind Adelheid, trying to grab him from his current position, aiming for a strong grip in the armholes of that sleeveless shirt of Adelheid's, before he falls back, pulling the other fighter with him. It's a pretty straightforward throw, his right leg coming up between the two of them if all goes as planned, and then he'll use it to push Adel off, to toss him back to the other side of the 'mountain'. "Yaa-!!"

COMBATSYS: Adelheid dodges Kensou's Tomoe Nage.

Adelheid's apparently pleased demeanor doesn't falter as Kensou darts away from the powerful combination, his feet returning to stable ground in a flash, as quickly as the strikes were launched, "People like me?" Adel's sudden smirk carries the air of someone suppressing outright laughter... let's not get all manic like daddy, now. Sie Kensou's grabby hands meet only thin air as Adelheid leaps skyward in a flash, evading the grapple by being substantially /above/ it, "All you know about me is that I think your approach to fighting is a joke!" the young Bernstein announces as he descends, twisting a sudden and forceful three-hundred sixty degrees to bring the heel of his heavy, militaristic boot about for Kensou's collarbone.
His focus remains intent, reddish eyes all but burning with it... this is a test, as has been well established, and while Adelheid doesn't much care what /other/ people think of him... he certainly cares about making the most of his 'internship'. At the moment, that seems to entail a brutal attempt to kick Kensou to the proverbial curb, before he can recover from his offensive momentum, "Is your self-esteem so frail?!?!"

COMBATSYS: Kensou fails to interrupt Heavy Kick from Adelheid with Ryuu Sougeki.

Aw, nuts. Kensou gets soundly denied on his throwing attempt, but it's going to take more than /that/ to get the Psycho Soldier to give up... Besides, he's got other worries at the moment, like Adel trying to kick him. As the foot comes down, Kensou's right fist pulls back, beginning to glow with blue-tinged white energy... Except the kick lands before he can complete his attack, the force of it dissipating the energy and knocking him down to one knee. Ow. Crap. "Heh... An' I think you hit like a girl. So what's your point?" And as for Kensou's self-esteem, well... Going into that would probably take a few years.

"Hmph." A succession of evasions on either side - it would almost be enough for Rain to tear immediately into the plucky Psycho Soldier, were it not for the attitude exhibited by her brother. Taking a sip of her wine while she watches the brief interplay between the two fighters, the wealthy platinum blonde has barely swallowed when her gaze narrows in sweet triumph. "Wonderful, Adelheid!" Her voice rings out bright and clear, a cutesy purity edged with dark undertones. Setting her glass back upon the still-hovering tray, she sits back, folding her hands in her lap as a cruel smile flickers about her lips. "Now make him further regret his decision to face you..."

The crashing boot against Kensou's upper body is used as a fulcrum, a single, fluid backflip landing Adelheid gracefully on both feet, not far off in front of the knelt Kensou. Come, son of Jor'el....
"Oh, gender insults." Adel half-rolls his eyes, but he doesn't pause, charging in on Kensou in a flash, his right hand snapping outwards, looking for a grapple of his own.... on Kensou's /face/?!?! That's right, that leather-clad palm seeks to snap closed right around the Psycho Soldier's skull, the power in that lithe arm enough to simply lift Kensou up off his feet, should the grip be found. Powerful fingers would dig painfully into Sie Kensou's face, for the instant it takes Adelheid to unleash a volatile torrent of raw chi, the dark, silvery energy blasting outwards in a tremendous gout, point-blank into his adversary's face, "Irrelevant! My point is stated, and /made/!"
Should all go to plan, the blast of wind-chi unleashed from the Bernstein heir's palm is enough to blast Kensou free of that ironclad grip, lithe arm flexing out in front of him as Adelheid smirks wryly.

COMBATSYS: Kensou endures Adelheid's Scorpion Deathlock.

And the thing of it is, Kensou doesn't even /try/ to defend against Adelheid's attack. Not in the least little bit. In fact, the Psycho Soldier stands his ground, getting picked up and blasted, but...! Grabbing at Adel's wrist, he redirects himself /downwards/. It's still going to hurt like hell when he hits, but it gives him the room to attack while, hopefully, Adelheid is still recovering from his attack, swinging one Ked sneaker-clad foot in a wide arc... Right between the Bernstein heir's legs. Kensou might be a good guy, but he doesn't fight clean all the time! "Hyaa-!!"

Looks like his efforts to get under Kensou's skin are proving a bit more successful than the Psycho Soldier's retorts towards Adel himself... and that just pleases the Bernstein heir all the more. It may not make things as out and out dangerous as they could have been, but he /is/ his father's son, after a fashion... and the resulting show definitely doesn't dishearten him. This is what he prepared for, this is what he planned for, and this, it seems... is exactly what he's executing with brutal efficiency. But he's been kicked in Adelheid jr. once this week already, and as Kensou tumbles to the stoney floor directly in front of him.... and that sneaker flies up... Adel does something that might qualify as 'the last thing someone would expect'.
Dropping low, the platinum blonde /straddles/ the rushing kick, which does bring him closer to the point of impact, but also shifts his frame aside, leaving the kick to crash, with bruising force, into the muscles at the back of his left thigh. Teeth gritted, Adel's momentum suddenly, and sharply reverses, the young Bernstein pushing upwards as his right leg arcs nearly straight upwards. This time, however, he doesn't even /attempt/ to clip Kensou's jaw with the kick... it's the swirling mass of grey chi that blasts about the launching point of that kick, and the waist-high edge of ragged, silvery winds that the Psycho Soldier needs to be concerned with, as the lancing wave blasts back over his crouched form, opposing his offensive momentum rather potently.
"Desperation." Adelheid muses, a derisive tone to his calm tenor, "Perhaps I mistook boyish outrage for conviction..."

Hey, that sucked, with the kicking and the Reppuken and all. Kensou has been taken apart pretty effectively here, and... Adelheid just said exactly what the psion needed to hear. In a very real way, the other fighter is right: He's getting under Kensou's skin, he's making Kensou act out of haste and frustration, and if anybody should know by now that never results in anything good, it's the Psycho Soldier himself. "Y'know what?" he says to Adel, genially. "You're totally right. Hey, Aislinn! This loser is all yours!" he calls out to his 'partner', which is kind of like a tag, isn't it? Which they're supposed to be doing often in the first place.

Aislinn watches the exchange with a bit of internal amusement; she never believed in the kind of posturing and trashtalking that these two are engaging in. It would seem, at least initially, that Adel hs the momentum, but with tht avoidance, perhaps Kensou -- no. Adel proves that he has some speed and agility, too. Aislinn waits, not on the sidelines persay, but out of the battle; Kensou need only signal her in and she will, as per the rules of this match, have to come in on Adelheid Bernstein. However... she's ready for that, she thinks.
As Adel and Kensou continue their battle, Aislinn actually yawns, just a little; but it doesn't mean she isn't paying attention, even as Kensou earns himself some damage... and even more damage. It isn't looking good for the two erstwhile tagteamers.
As she's called in, she merely nods, and explodes off the blocks; running low, as she nears she hops forward, throwing her right foot out for Adelheid's torso...

COMBATSYS: Adelheid dodges Aislinn's Medium Kick.

Rain surges to her feet when Adelheid so deftly evades the worst of that last attack, her eyes blazing as she watches the subsequent explosion of chi envelop the young psion in delicious pain. Delighted with her brother's performance, the girl claps her hands together, before coiling the fingers tightly at her breast. "I knew it! There is no challenge too great for my brother. Adelheid!" Raising her voice with the last, she takes a step toward the stage, coming to the very edge of the seated area as Aislinn makes her speedy frontal assault. "The girl is nothing - destroy her!"

By this point? Adelheid probably has two fanbases. One for the honourable, calm, focused persona... and one for the asshole persona. Which is the 'real' him? Which is honest? It's something that would take some real figuring, and maybe the Bernstein heir /himself/ doesn't even know yet.... but the bottom line seems to come down to his opponents, and if he can goad or take apart Sie Kensou with a few apt words accompanying his actions? Well, that's just how it's going to have to be! His image is about fighting, not congeniality.
As Kensou 'tags' out, a dismissive gesture of the Bernstein heir's hand effectively accepts the 'pass', and he leaps backwards a short measure, twisting to face Aislinn as she rushes in hard. The foot that flies out, however, is twisted away from deftly, the lithe blonde's frame shifting to a sidelong stance, backpedalling a half-pace to Aislinn's flank as his left hand shoots out for the front of her leather uniform.
That hand seeks a steely grip, and if he can grasp her, the right quickly follows suit, yanking the girl harshly around and off the ground, as an inner upsurge of chi gives Adelheid the force he needs to simply defy gravity, both feet leaving the ground. He would carry Aislinn before him on that hurtling flight, clear across the arena, before a sudden flexing of both arms seeks to harshly plant her to the faux mountaintop, skipping the NESTS agent like a stone. Looks like he's decided to go for seperating the pair, now.

Having missed her attack, Aislinn lands in a deep crouch--and as she's rising to her feet, she's caught by the much faster Adelheid. And she's taken for a ride, one that pretty much explodes her body at the end, the impact absolutely -crushing-. She actually just lies there for a moment, until her senses reset and she can tell where she is. Rain's incessant babble means nothing to her; the lush blonde has been out of sight and out of mind for Aislinn since the whole thing began. But Aislinn doesn't think she's going to do particularly well against Adelheid, particularly after a jarring hit like that.
Still... she rises. What can she do? She's supposed to fight this man, and he's far, far out of her league. Standing atop the mountain, she cricks her neck, hiding the intense pain behind a facade of calm. A subtle shift, one not visible, and suddenly, electric energy is crackling along her right arm, as it extends towards Adelheid, gathering into the open palm of her hand, then issuing forth at the R' heir, a narrow spike of red-white electric chi blazing its way towards the man.
She has absolutely no desire to be anywhere near him ever again.

Adelheid drifts back as the velocity abates, landing lightly on his feet, pausing momentarily as Aislinn rights herself... his eyes narrow, and the hairs on his neck stand on end with the sudden charge of electrified chi. Despite a sudden sway, Adelheid's attempt to twist away from the narrow blast, the electrical lance tears into his shoulder, spinning the young Bernstein a moment, his teeth gritting as he comes to a skidding stall, holding his own footing despite the painful spasms shooting up through his muscles.
A slow, respectful nod is thrown towards Aislinn for a moment, and then Adelheid is in motion once more. Evidently, he doesn't have the same compunction about holding back from the NESTS agent, a graceful high-jump carrying him arcing in at Aislinn, his body shifting askew as he descends sharply, left boot shooting out to the side in a simple, snapping thrust aligned with the girl's skull.

It isn't just holding back. That strike -hurt-. Aislinn is in motion as Adelheid jumps in on her; rather than fading back, she's moving forward, meeting the incoming boot with upthrust forearms, absorbing most of the impact harmlessly and sparing herself from further damage. However, she -doesn't- just fade; she attempts to keep a grip on that leg even as Adel lands, to hold him in place, as she calls out, her voice surprisingly melodious when heard at higher volume, "Kensou! It's your turn!"
Sure, it's risky--Adelheid could destroy her. But -something- needs to happen if she and Kensou are to at least give Adel a real fight.

"GOTCHA!" suddenly announces Kensou, as his kick strikes home... And then it's followed by a succession of further kicks, the Chinese psion whirling to batter Adelheid with strike after strike from his feet, actually outright defying the laws of gravity as he delivers his assault. "And then... The finish!!" he cries, as he stomps hard on Adel's chest with both feet, which hopefully sends him a-flyin', while Kensou backflips and lands in a low, three-point stance.

Of course, Adel's flying kick doesn't prove quite as effective as he might have hoped... but it's more troublesome when his leg is gripped. It may be a momentary inconvenience, but in a match like this? It's a nice set-up. He balances on his right foot, twisting sharply to wrench his leg from Aislinn's grasp as he tries to turn to face Sie Kensou's charge... the Psycho Soldier is in before the Bernstein heir can fully raise his guard, however, the leaping kick crashing hard into his chest, the bicycling kicks crashing home in a flurry, driving him backwards, into a staggering tumult of pain. The twin-footed finished plants him back-first to the dirt, the platinum blonde sliding on his shoulderblades, teeth gritted. It's a short skid, however, as Adel plants one hand and rolls into a reversed crouch...
And suddenly /launches/ back the way he came, both feet leading as his entire body inverts, shooting up at an angle aligned with the dropping Kensou, the Bernstein heir seeking to reverse that landing and send the Psycho Soldier flying right back the way he came, using himself as a human missile. The warhead? Those twin boots seeking to crash into Sie Kensou's chest and jaw, "Better!!" the enthusiastic call comes... but it's still not enough to keep him grounded.

Yeah, Kensou would /hope/ that was 'better'; it takes a lot of effort to pull of that particular attack, after all. But he doesn't have the time to rest or anything, because Adelheid's on him like white on rice, as it were; the incoming crazy leaping doublekick is dealt with in a pretty simple way, as the Psycho Soldier lunges forward, rolling low under the attack, coming out of the roll and twisting around to face Adelheid once again. "An' I'm just gettin' started, too," he says, tensing as motes of bluish light appear around him, starting to whirl about his form in a storm of energy, his fighting gear and hair stirring in a breeze that otherwise doesn't exist. "But you're just about finished!"

Having completed her assist, Aislinn backs off, but not so far that she can't jump in if called by Kensou. Still, the time to settle herself will be appreciated.

A wry smile returns to the Bernstein heir's face as he sails skyward, passing through nothing but air. Twisting at the apex of the assault, he rights himself and drops gracefully back towards the faux mountaintop, landing on the unforgiving stone with bent legs, lifting his dark eyes to the Psycho Soldier, "Just about finished? Not nearly!" And with a rush, Adelheid seeks to treat Kensou to proof of that...
The gathering of psi energy is impressive, but it doesn't serve as a deterrent to the determined blonde, the Bernstein heir charging in, darting to Kensou's flank as his hands shoot out to all but yank the Psycho Soldier out of his preparations, and harshly twist about, to offer him a ride not unlike the one Aislinn experienced. An upsurge of his own inner chi, and with alarming velocity, Adel would use the grip, if attained, to drag Sie Kensou off his feet, and literally /fly/ across the summit, both arms flexing powerfully in an attempt to /slam/ his opponent into a skid at the edge, letting the stoney surface to the work for him, so to speak.

COMBATSYS: Kensou blocks Adelheid's God Press EX.

However, what happens isn't /quite/ what Adelheid was planning for, as Kensou manages to retain his footing despite the grip, his heels skidding along the surface of the fighting stage, his legs taking the brunt of the damage... And when Adel goes for the slam, the Psycho Soldier just stumbles back on his feet, but he remains upright, his legs sore but otherwise much better off than he would've been otherwise. "Whew, that coulda been dangerous!" he says, with a laugh. "Now then," and quite suddenly, he springs at Adelheid, throwing his right hand forward once he's in close enough, palm open, and bracing his right arm with his left hand at his shoulder. And then, a huge sphere of almost pure white Psycho Power forms in the air, ideally centered on where Adel is standing, as Kensou forces an enormous amount of power through his arm, creating a hellish, localised explosion for Rugal's kid to deal with. "HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-!!"

COMBATSYS: Adelheid fails to reflect Senki Hakkei from Kensou with Dark Barrier.

Or not deal with... as the case may be! Adelheid may have tools in his arsenal to deal with such a massive flexing of raw power, but with the Psycho Soldier's impressive defense and quick recovery from the attempt to finish him off, Adel isn't in a particularly good position to capitalize. He certainly /tries/.... but it's too little, too late, his own chi bubbling to the surface moments too late to stop the rampaging flux of Psycho Power, the brilliant sphere engulfing him, searing him, and ultimately blasting him clear, his crashing course to the stoney ground a fair bit less graceful, this time....
And he's not half as quick to recover. That certainly stung, and it's with an expectoration of crimson blood that Adel begins to push himself back to his feet, both hands pressing into the 'mountaintop' as he seeks to recover his footing, eyes lifting back to Kensou. Looks like the other youth has managed to get his composure back. Which is good, in Adelheid's estimation... but also quite painful, "Impressive... you have something after all. Let's see if you can finish this." the platinum blonde congratulates, as he recovers his footing, steadying his focus.

As the Senki Hakkei shatters, Kensou is blasted back a few steps, his right palm smoking a little after the amount of energy forced through that arm. He breathes a bit raggedly, looking pretty worn down after performing two powerful attacks so quickly one after the other, and then there's Adelheid's acknowledgement to consider, but... "Ain't just my fight," he tells Adel, shrugging his shoulders a little. "Oi, partner! C'mon and finish this chucklehead off!" Kensou calls towards Aislinn, before he dashes at Adelheid, trying to keep the other fighter's attention divided enough for Aislinn to end the fight...!

COMBATSYS: Kensou assists Aislinn.

_Can_ she end the fight? She's not sure, but the moment Kensou calls, Aislinn snaps into action. There's actually just a moment before she attacks; a sudden upsurge of ... not chi, but something, a sense of limiters being cut out, of extra effort being put out. Then Aislinn lunges forward--blurring, really, moving with a speed she hadn't displayed before, clasping both hands together. As she nears Adelheid she blurs back into visibility, both hands clasped together into a giant fist, extended forward and aimed for Adelheid's sternum.

COMBATSYS: Adelheid blocks Aislinn's Breaking Point.

Chucklehead?!? CHUCKLEHEAD?!?! With the run he's given these two, well... Adelheid still doesn't really take offense to the misnomer. Two targets rushing him.. only one will be striking him... and while Kensou's call /could/ be an effort to mislead... the fight's structure isn't quite /that/ flexible. The blurring Aislinn, marked by the sudden surge of power, whatever it's nature, is tracked to the best of Adelheid's abilities, which proves to be enough to raise a sudden and fierce guard in opposition to the crashing fists, crossed forearms colliding soundly with the full-on rush, his arms flexing forcefully as his feet dig in, fighting to maintain his ground, and hold Aislinn at bay.
The reasoning, the importance, is quite simple... while they've tried to set him up for a fall, the end result is that Kensou and Aislinn as well are rather vulnerable, at least in theory. Pushing off, Adelheid launches himself forward between the pair, his right leg sweeping around in a full rotation, the rising roundhouse carrying him rather dramatically off the ground. It's not the swinging boot that's the full threat of this maneuver, however.... it's the slashing, brilliant tidal wave of wildly luminescent silver chi that washes along the course of that booted foot, the crescent drawn threatening to cleave Psycho Soldier and NESTS Agent soundly in twain, as Adelheid rises gracefully to oppose their rush. Of course, his earlier call of desperation? There's an element of that, here.... but it's more a product of stubborn will, a last-ditch all-out effort to seize back the advantage.

COMBATSYS: Aislinn endures Adelheid's Omega Genocide.

One of her strongest attacks -- denied. Aislinn knew, right at the moment of impact, that she wasn't hitting properly; she rebounds, from the impact, but not far enough. And she's still standing... but she can tell that retribution is coming, a fierce and terrible one. She might be able to block it, but that doesn't leave her in a good position, tactically. So she stands her ground; the kick crashes into her, the wave of chi washing over her a fraction of a second later. It is pain that equals the worst she's ever taken, but she converts that pain into brute force; she lets the force spin her around, rather than blow her off her feet, and then, with the last of her fading energy, she's lunging forward, seeking to trap Adel while he's recovering, closing in with a flying knee to snap kick combination... after which, hit, or miss, she's dropping to the ground, to all fours, then curling up into a fetal position.

COMBATSYS: Aislinn can no longer fight.

It looks like Kensou's going to end up paying for his little tactic, doesn't it? He's too close when Adelheid decides to make his reprisal against /both/ of his opponents at once, which the Psycho Soldier knew was a possibility. He tries to dodge back from Adelheid's attack, flipping backwards, but he doesn't make it out of range. As an aside right about here, Adelheid's attack /really hurts/. It sends Kensou flying, and he hits the stage and rolls, and that part hurts too. He looks back in time to see Aislinn making a last-ditch attack on the Bernstein her, and while Kensou might not be above cheating from time to time, this isn't one of those times. Instead, he he just watches what happens, and hopes for the best.

The instinctual, do-or-die flight carries Adelheid high into the air, and gracefully forward in the wake of the release of that massive outpouring of energy, and as Aislinn and Kensou go blasting away... well, it's certainly a gratifying payoff, the application of his most powerful technique in dramatic fashion. This unleashing of power has failed Adel more than a few times... but training does pay off! Training, circumstance, and maybe a bit of luck. The silver loops on his belt flutter in synch with his blonde mane as he drops to the 'mountaintop', catching Aislinn's spin out of his peripheral vision. The young Bernstein matches the twist, coming about to fast her with a flourish, his hands coming up in front of him...
But there's only one escape from this rush, at least in the platinum blonde's mind, and it's with the last of his energy that he vaults aside, his own form blurring a split second with the sudden sidelong momentum, leaving the space he landed behind for Aislinn to launch herself into, Adelheid himself stopping a short span off, his breath coming in laboured gasps, "... Well fought." He gasps after a moment, and the recovery of air to his lungs. A slow nod is offered to Kensou, and then the fallen Aislinn, his own eyes having a bit of trouble staying open, as blackness flits about his vision. Despite the pain, the exertion, however... the Bernstein heir remains standing, regaining his composure with a few deep breaths and a wiping of the blood from his lips with one gloved hand, "A fine challenge, your efforts honour you both." A far cry from the goading, or the mocking, or the disdain. The words are calmly spoken, and seem sincere.
Satisfied with the result, and the level of this 'test'... Adelheid Bernstein paces to the side of the 'mountain' and drops off, landing in a three-point crouch and making his way towards Rain... his intent to simply walk alongside her, right out of the arena.

COMBATSYS: Adelheid has ended the fight here.
