SNF 2006.09 - DemoDerby! Karin/Sean vs Daigo

Description: On this episode of Car Talk, we learn how to properly use a truck tire, the tensile strength of the windshield on a wrecked '86 Honda Civic, and just how tough Daigo Kazama really is. (Winner: Daigo)

It would appear that Gedo High is about to get another action packed throwdown of epic proportions this evening. And this particular match-up is about to happen on a suprisingly chilly evening, most of the light supplied by the full moon, as well as the ocassional wandering firefly and flickering lights trailed along the courtyard. Good thing it's saturday, because this would normally be homework time for most of the spectators, right? .... Right?
Air that would normally be filled with the buzzing of insect and chirping of crickets at this time is instead buzzing with eager spectators eager to cheer on who is undoubtedly the crowd favorite this evening.
The opponents? They've actually just arrived, and arrived quite in style, first the crowd is blinded by the intensity of twin highbeams, and once they dim, the offender is clearly a long, black limosine that's pulled itself into the courtyard. The first opponent is revealed at this point, the passanger side door swinging open and out tumbles Sean Matsuda, decked out in brown slack and matching vest, yellow dress-shirt with torn sleeves worn under it, "Hhlgkk!"
Under his arm is a long, rolled up tube, that he drags along as he makes haste to the very last door- In which he sits the tube on the ground and gives it a fierce kick, unrolling it into a long, red carpet, "*huff* O.. Oh man." he gasps, taking a moment to catch his breath and then draw the door open, his other hand on his knee.

Reading the Art of War, one might come upon an old Chinese military adage that sounds pithy but actually makes quite a lot of sense: when faced with an enemy army, make your strengths look strong and your weaknesses look weak. It's not that Karin Kanzuki has anything against Gedo. Far from it, in fact; she honestly believes it serves the rather useful function of taking a large group of people she would normally not want anything to do with and keeping them in one place. She is a broad-minded individual but if you're rich and powerful long enough, some of it just sinks right into the marrow and is inescapable.

The limo had been her idea. It seemed suitably conspicuous without being quite so overboard as the helicopter she used the last time she was here.

Stepping out into the light, Karin sets one foot on the carpet and glances at Sean for a moment before smoothing out the pleats of her skirt and glancing around, crossing her arms over her chest. "Have you ever heard of Daigo Kazama, Sean?" she asks conversationally, waiting for him to arrive and glancing around at the almost certainly present Gedo students, most of whom would mug Karin for her petty cash if they thought they could get away with it. "He's not to be underestimated."

Speaking of Gedo High... It is, indeed, abuzz with a great many people. Students. Spectators. SNF officials. All lining a set of makeshift stands set up in and around the courtyard for the sole purpose of watching this fight. When the stands filled up, overflow ended up on the roof of the school itself, atop the dojo, and anywhere a spare pair of eyes could possibly squeeze in to peek. The entire school is present and accounted for, though only one of their number will actually be fighting this evening.

Daigo Kazama. Boss of Gedo High.

The Boss was kind enough to help the SNF officials along with their set of rules they designed for Gedo's fights. He may not be completely thrilled with them, but in the name of a good fight, he's willing to go along with them. Besides, it's not often a fight encourages the fighters to completely and utterly destroy the surroundings, something many students of Gedo can really get behind. So the courtyard is littered with all sorts of objects, making it look more like a junkyard than a school yard. Rocks of various sizes, street posts, tires, pipes, flower pots, and a whole slew of miscellanious items the Gedo gang threw in for the fun of t litter the ground. There's even an old, junky car sitting between two sets of improvised stands, being used as a seat for a few students.

As a matter of fact, Daigo himself is perched upon the hood of this car, as good an entry point as any, waiting patiently for his opponents to arrive. Waiting for the officials to state the rules, so everyone's clear on how brutal things are going to get.

Waiting to let the fun begin.

Sean only needs another few seconds for him to stand up straight again, his expression suddenly more serious as he glances over the rather enormous crowd, with a mild amount of concern. There was something a little off about the grins coming from the students, and he couldn't quite put his finger on it. And so he reaches into his back pocket, drawing out his leather gloves and puts them on one at a time, "Is that right?" Sean replies, "I've heard Sakura mention the name before but I confess it doesn't ring any bells otherwise. But if he's strong enough to take on the both of us, he must be some sort of monster."
He wrinkles his nose a bit, further study lets the many weapons scattered about to catch his eye, and his heart almost skips a beat. Woah. If this is the kind of match he -thinks- it is, this should be pretty extreme. And deep in his heart. Matsuda looooooves extreme, "But more importantly," he then says, tone raised a bit as he gestures to the spectators with a sour expression, "Who are all these .. These rogues?"
And then he grins, pointing a finger to the air, "For the young ones at home, 'rogue' is an noun, which means a knavish person, a scoundrel, if you wll." this ideally is said to the camera, and then his arms cross, gaining an understanding of the rules, and the introductions begin, "Ah ha! Extreme rules of sorts, but 'extreme' is no stranger to the vocabulary of 'Mister' Sean Matsuda! Bring forth our opponent!"

There is a brief moment where Karin just... LOOKS at Sean. It's unclear if he's trying to impress her, or has been possessed by some sort of occult force. She decides it's an endearing, if weird, attempt at the former and clears her throat, looking around. Weapons scattered everywhere and knives in the dark, with Daigo around... yes, this certainly has an unpleasant ring of familiarity. "They're Gedo students," she whispers to Sean, apparently not totally lacking in social grace. "A somewhat... rough-hewn sort of group. If you've read 'The Outsiders' you'd have a good picture."

Stepping away from Sean, Karin scans the crowd and finds the unmistakable, black-clad figure of Daigo perched atop the rather less impressive car in the distance. She gives him a curt wave. "A pleasure, Mr. Kazama," she begins, tugging on her own brown leather handguards. "And I'm glad our second meeting is under slightly less... trying circumstances. Don't think that means I will be taking it easy, however."

At least everybody's excited to be here. More or less. Introductions are made for those in the crowd who don't know Karin, or Sean, or even Daigo for that matter, though the big Gedo man pays it little mind. He hops off his car-perch, and steps his way across the dangerous courtyard, to meet his two opponents. One being familiar to him, the other unknown.

"Good to see you again too, m'lady, without the threat of gunfire and crap everywhere." Daigo says, and that's about as formal as he cares to be tonight. He's already taken his jacket off, left it with the car he did, leaving him in a white button-up shirt for this brawl. He's already sliding back into a fighting stance, the officials looking edgy about getting the fight started, lest the very gang Daigo runs turn their job from spectating to rioting. "...And don't worry. I don't plan on 'taking it easy' with you two, either. We're all here for a good fight, right? So let's fight."

COMBATSYS: Daigo has started a fight here on the left meter side.

Sean is looked at, and when he is, his hand is thoughtfully raised to his chin, a bit of a smirk on his face. And he nods. He must be looking so badass right about now, he just knows it. There's no doubt in his mind tonight that he's going to be having a Victory Buffet tonight! The whisper, though, causes his expression to faulter a little, then he coughs lightly into his fist, "Oh.. Oh, I see. uh, yeah.. Ok." and he more or less toddles along after once Karin takes the lead.
It shouldn't be a suprise the two should know each other, really, but his jaw slacks anyway. Gunfire? What kind of match was -that-?? But at the very least he could agree on one thing, and that was the fact this fight was going to be good without a doubt, "Very well!" Sean then outbursts, don't worry officials, Sean's got this one covered, "Allow me to initiate the opening blow!" and he leaps right into the fray, fist drawn back at first, then delivers a straightfoward punch aimed right at Daigos gut, "En guarde!"

COMBATSYS: Sean has joined the fight here on the right meter side.

Despite the somewhat grim tone, Karin gets a bit of a smile at Daigo's words. That and she knows him for a person of integrity... that, and as long as she treats Daigo with respect she won't have to crack any Gedo heads this evening if things go sour, too. "I would expect nothing less." She gets into stance, hoping to take the initiative... when Sean blurs past her, looking to punch a brick wall in the mush.

Deciding that she might as well follow suit, the blonde ducks in and fades right, hoping to use the additional distraction of Sean to land a particularly nasty-looking kick to Daigo's back, judging Sean's potential point of impact and swinging her leg up in an acrobatic-looking roundhouse. "Forgive my partner," she says amicably. "He's somewhat hot blooded."

Such initiative. The officials shout BEGIN, and Sean's already on his way to go for first contact! A swift straight-armed punch for Daigo's gut, followed up by a big boot by Karin to his backside. At least, that's what it looks like is about to happen.

Might as well start off with a show, huh? Having never met Sean before, he has no idea how hard the kid hits. Best way to test this? Stand there, like some kind of statue, and take the fist right in the gut. Naturally he doesn't budge, lifting his eyebrow for the second he has before having to hop out of the way of Karin's foot, lest he become too bruised too early in the match. "...He's forgiven." Daigo grunts, all business now, and in the mood to reciprocate Sean's attempt at gutbustery with his own heavy-handed attack. Though his is considerably less nice, and consists of a quick left jab aimed for the young punk's head. Followed by a right hook of his own, to try and nail Sean right in the same place he was just punched in.

COMBATSYS: Daigo successfully hits Sean with 1-2 Smash.

"BAM!" Sean yells upon impacting fist to gut, and stands there in an almost dramatic position, as if he were expecting Daigo to go flying back from the attack. .... He doesn't. Sean looks up slowly to Daigos face, then down to his fist, then up again with a weak smile, "... Er, good day."
When the big man manages to slip Karins attack, Matsuda thinks he has a moment to prepare for the inevitable back lash moments before the left jab pops him in the head, making his eyes cross, "ow," and then the second blow sends him staggering back, "G'UUH!" the boy doubled over as he staggers, eventually falling gracefully (?) onto his rear. But he does so with a more confident grin, "I see, so you're *huff* pretty good, big man!"
He ignores the ringing in his ears, spotting a rather conveniently placed kendo stick, that he grabs and then dashes toward Daigo once again weapon raised in the air, "HAAAAAAAAAAA-" but he doesn't strike downward, no he in fact dashes past Daigo, hopfully throwing him off so that he can leap up and clench the weapon about the big mans throat in an unorthodox chokehold, "Chopping down trees is a simple task, when you're 'Mister' Sean Matsuda!"

In truth, Karin wasn't expecting her kick to connect; it was more of a test of the Daigo waters. Still, she's impressed that he moves fairly nimbly for someone of his mass, but she isn't about to let that keep her down for the time being. Instead, she watches Sean carefully. The key, as far as she sees it, is going to be taking advantage of whatever openings her partner provides. Which seems a bit cold, but apparently that's par for the course for Karin this week. Taking advantage of Sean's overcomitted kendo strike, she hopes to press forward in the gap and snag him by the lapel, then press him into the car he leapt from... hard. While her weight isn't much, the blonde knows exactly how to cause some impressive pain through leverage... if she can get it to work.

Cracking his knuckles after the two-fisted attack struck Sean where it should, Daigo uses that half-second to consider his next move. Yet before he has much chance to do that, he's attacked with a kendo stick, of all things. Does Gedo have a kendo club? He'll have to check that out. Maybe someone stole it from Justice. It's not hard for the Gedo man to work his shoulders into the choke to keep it from hurting too much though. That's not the problem.

The young lady that took his effort to ease his neck-pain as a chance to slam him into a car hood is the real problem. The impact manages to jar Daigo enough that, with Sean's added weight, he drops to his knees in front of that damaged and, now, dented car. "Nice hit..." he mutters, in what may be a bad spot to be. Well, turnabout is fair play... Though it may be folley to ignore Sean, he doesn't have much way to deal with them both at the same time just yet, and so lets the monkey hang on his back a while longer, favoring instead to reach out for the much more brutal girl, to return the favor of spinning around, and whip-lashing her into that same car. It seems to be a convenient enough place to throw people. Maybe he'll get lucky and crack the windshield.

Sean tsks to himself, perhaps it wasn't going to be as easy as he thought to choke the big man out, at least not from the angle he was at, "Geez," it's pretty futile to try to correct himself, especially since he's nearly flung off from the momentum of Daigos spin. Matsuda leaps back, and is just going to have to trust that Karin will be able to get herself out of that little jam.
On the other hand, the least he can do is continue to try to slow the Big Boss a little, maybe with something more solid like.. A folding-chair! He tests it's weight with a shake, and then darts forward again, swinging the weapon like a baseball bat ideally at Daigo's back, "Heads!"

On the one hand, being light and flexible means that Karin can often minimize the damage done to her by grappling techniques. On the other, it also means it's quite easy for someone with sufficient strength to flip her around like a rag doll... and Daigo certainly has succificent strength. With a loud CRACK, the blonde impacts the windshield at a particularly nasty velocity. She'd intended to use the throw as a springboard to turn the attack to her advantage against Daigo... and miscalculated just a bit.

Bringing herself up with some effort, the Kanzuki heiress shakes her head, trying to get some feeling back into her legs, which took the brunt of that attack. "Using the environment was on the card," she says carefully... and glancing around, she tries to think of a way to do the same. Realization flickering across her gaze, she leaps to the top of the car and grins at Daigo. "Head's up!" And then, hooking her toe against the door of the car, she all but KICKS it at him, looking to slam him with it, hard.

Chairs and car doors. Solid objects of pain. With the weight of Sean finally off his back, the Gedo man is able to stand straight again, and brace himself for what's about to come. Both objects strike him clean, the chair slamming his back, while the car door nails him in the gut. Both hurt, but Daigo is very used to pain. Just to get in Gedo, so the rumors have it, you had to have a painful past. The Boss grunts, twice, from the dual impacts, but holds his ground nontheless.

Both opponents so close to him now, and the car proving to be more annoyance than anything, Daigo takes but a second to concentrate on bringing out a quick burst of his inner fire. A shockwave of fiery energy that starts from Daigo's core and radiates outwards, scathing the car in the couple seconds worth of energy that washes over it, causing mirrors and glass to shatter, and metal to singe.

No telling what it'll do to Karin or Sean if it hits either one of them.

COMBATSYS: Sean blocks Daigo's Phoenix Fire.

Sean of course isn't very familiar with Daigo's techniques, but he can tell when something is wrong; and that point is when the chair just SLAMS into Daigo's back. Where he'd normally start getting overconfident, he instead just sort of slackjaws again when he draws the now bent weapon back, ".... Okay then."
BA-BOOM! Sean perhaps is lucky enough not to be close enough to the car to suffer from the close-up damage, but the fire is still an immense threat. The force of the wave knocks the chair right out of his hands, he falling into a slight crouch with his arms crossed to more or less just bear the assault. And when that ends, "... I can't say I saw -that- coming." He shakes his arms out, and still seems intent on sticking with his strategy. Slipping a bit more in front of Daigo now, he spins around and nearly overexerts himself in belting Daigo with a front kick, hopefully making Daigo double-over a bit. And should that work, it's a primo opportunity to leap up backward and slip his arm about Daigo's neck, and with an even bigger grunt, drop and flip Daigo right over his shoulder and slam him onto his back, "HAAH!"

COMBATSYS: Karin blocks Daigo's Phoenix Fire.

Luckily, Karin is a little better prepared on the defensive this time. That, and she's seen Daigo at work before and is better equipped than Sean to deal with the situation. In fact, her attack with the car door is almost serendipitous, as it comes swinging back at her with the force of Daigo's fiery attack, giving her partial cover as the chi flame washes over her, the door taking most of the damage as paint peels, then melts, with a faint scent of ozone. "Your calm during a fight is enviable, Mr. Kazama," she says carefully, stepping out from behind the door and rushing... past him? She's noticed Sean's attack and hopes to position herself to receive Daigo when he falls, whether Sean succeeds or not. And once Daigo gets in range, the blonde lashes out with two quick palm strikes in his direction, followed by a vicious palm strike to the gut with considerable force behind it.

Consider it a half-success for the tag-team. Maybe more than that. Neither one was too affected by Daigo's burst of 'rage', leaving them both more than able to lash out with quick counters to the Gedo Boss' technique. Sneaky Sean managed to get his attack while Daigo was still coming out of his Phoenix pose, using a tricky bit of leverage to heft Daigo up, over, and down onto his back with a loud whump. Karin's follow-up was going to be brutal! Yet somehow, someway, Daigo kept just enough presence of mind fighting his two combatants, that Karin's palm-thrusts are each caught by the elder Kazama's own quick jabbing, knocking each one away with no harm to the Gedo man himself.

Wresting himself free of Sean, rolling away from the light-footed Karin, Daigo gets back to his feet and considers. The car's basically trashed, nothing useful left there, but there's still dozens of objects on the ground, begging for some action. A handy street sign is Daigo's weapon of choice, one that has Gedo St. written on it, the Kazama brawler hefting one up in both hands and advancing on poor ol' Sean again, intending to use the sign like Sean had used a chair, to club the guy with a two-handed swing. "Welcome to Gedo!"

Dozens indeed, but it seems for the moment, Sean isn't interested in the weapons laying around now, and seems more intent on just knocking the big man over repeatedly. Hey, it seemed like a good plan on paper. Sean grins confidently as he rolls back as well, and makes a come-hither motion toward Daigo even when he does pick up the street sign like a toy, "Yeah! There's plenty more where that came fro- Woah damn!"
It registers a little late what pain was about to ensue, and he dashes foward, clearly looking to intercept the swing by any means necessary. Doesn't quite work that way though, the weapon hits clean and sends Sean tumbling off to the side, into a few of a spectators on the bleachers. Needless to say, he's practically instantly thrown right off and back onto the ground, "Ooof!" ... ".. Didn't hurt." he then groans.

Ah, but the problem with the street sign is that it takes time to lift, time to swing, and focus. Whereas Karin is small, lithe, and surprisingly strong for her build. She briefly remembers the foreign objects rule and glances around. The only things nearby are prohibitive or just plain useless; there's no way she can swing a street sign or a car bumper or something of that nature at sufficient speed to actually hit Daigo, an experienced fighter. Her gaze, however, flickers to the crowd and notes some Gedo students lounging on folding chairs... which is perfect.

Ducking over, she simply reaches out and tugs one out from under someone, who goes tumbling to the dirt as she tests its weight in her hands, wincing as, in the distance, Sean's attempt to counterattack preemptively doesn't work. "Pardon me," she adds, in a dreamy tone, before walking up behind Daigo and quite frankly braining him with the chair. Or trying to, anyway.

PHOENIX FURY! Al the Gedo-ites know it, and many of them likely cheer as they see the combo initiate, ten hits of combolicious goodness Daigo claims to be his best attack lash out towards Karin. Five mean punches, an uppercut, a triple-kick, and a final straight-armed punch just overflowing with his inner fire all attempt to turn Karin into little rich girl paste. ...alas, the full effect of the Fury is not to be had. Though it isn't the sort of thing easily shrugged off, Daigo can feel...amid the punches and kicks he strings together...that something was off. He didn't miss, exactly, but she put herself at just the edge of his fists of fury, causing her not nearly as much pain as it very well could have done. Leaving Daigo very dissatisfied, and likely open for a return blow.

"...Better'n I thought." he mutters to she of golden locks, and fast feet.

Sean rubs lightly at his chest, and his attention quickly returns back to Daigo.. it took him a moment to recover, but now that he's back on track, he's ready to blast his way though the Daigo wall! "Oh -man-," he groans to the combination of blows; and from his angle it looks like Karin was being pounded into oblivion! Sean takes off, intending on interrupting the combination as soon as he could. Or at the very least he could improvise, lurching a bit to the left and then darts to the right, intending to close right on in from Daigos side in which he leaps into the air, leans off a little and with a twist of his hips, delivers a crazy spin kick. The idea of course is for the kick to collide with the chair assuming it was still in hand, which would richotte right into the Gedo Boss; failing that his shoulder, in which he lands into a hard crouch in front of the boss, and glances just slightly over his shoulder, "Cripes, are you all right, Miss Kanzuki??"

Well, that... stung. Karin may have fast feet, but that's entirely different from being able to take repeated punches alight with fire from an individual with particularly strong physical power. Still, the Gedo boss is right; Karin has enough energy in her to dance around the periphery of the attack, combining ducking movements with an aggressive defense to minimize the damage from what would otherwise be a crushing blow. Still... even a glancing blow from Daigo Kazama is worth the good solid punch of a lesser man.

"Thank you," Karin says carefully, gathering herself. "One can either be a mountain that resists all, or a willow that bends as necessary but does not break." She glances over her shoulder at Sean with a faint smile to answer his question, before turning about and making a grab for Daigo's shirt. "I choose the latter."

It would have been a beautiful tag-team combo again. Sean's chair-tricks work wonders against a mountain of a man like Daigo, as repeated chair-slams will, eventually, sting more than a little. The Gedo man's feeling it. Fighting two people has always been tough to do! But he's not completely out yet, nor completely left open to be brutalized by both opponents. Sean's crazy kick worked, but Karin's attempt to further the damage was rather rudely pushed aside.

Daigo hasn't thrown anyone into a building yet... The poor Gedo Dojo, freshly rebuilt after previous SNF's totalled it, may get victimized again. As payment for the chair tactics, Daigo turns on Sean again, to thank him for the chair, Daigo keeps that same chair in hand, and attempts to return the favor. This time, with a two-hit slam. One overhead swing to try and stun the guy long enough for him to use the chair like a golf club, trying to aim him towards the dojo.a

Sean's crazy kick DID work, and in Matsuda's eyes that was totally SWEET. Magazine cover material right there! But he can't really celebrate about it, he's too busy being confused by Karins cryptic response, "....." Completely dumbfounded, he finally replies, looking back to Daigo, "My apologies, but I don't speak 'jive'." Whoops, incoming chair!! Getting out of the way seems to be a good idea.. Instead he'll double over again from the force of the blow, holding the back of his head, then go flying back from the follow up, Sean taking the air with the greatest of ease and slams pretty hard into the dojo. He cracks the wood pretty hard, but not enough to completly shatter it, but become a painful looking chair.
Squirming from his uncomfortable position, Sean pops free, and with a slightly pained grunt, rips out one of those wooden strips. Clearly he's going to throw it like a makeshift lance toward Daigo, then slump back against the wall a moment, "Man.. I'm gonna have to go all out now," he grunts to himself.

Poor Sean. Karin notes with no small amount of both amusement and healthy respect that her partner-slash-valet-slash-whatever has been doing most of the proverbial heavy lifting this fight... and despite the few powerful blows Daigo's landed on the blonde girl, he's also taken the brunt of Daigo's retribution too. Deciding she's going to have to get Daigo's attention one way or another, the Kanzuki heiress takes a deep breath... and then throws herself at Daigo from above, hand raised above her hand and then sweeping down in a scything downward strike at the tall man's shoulder, a single-hit version of her Kou'ou Ken finishing move. "This may be a fight, but I'll thank you not to be quite so rough with Kanzuki Industries property, Mr. Kazama!" Does she mean the dojo? Or Sean?

She probably means Sean, since the dojo belongs to Gedo. Or does it? Those sneaky corporate types...perhaps Gedo was bought out this very fight!

Right. Because Gedo is valuable?

Daigo has little time to react to both problems. The wood, Karin's fists, they both require attention. Luckily Daigo has just the thing! Dropping the chair in favor of a truck tire that just so happens to be nearby, the big Kazama man uses it to first fend off Karin's attack, which..works to an extent, though hefting something that big to block with still causes the man some fatigue. He then uses it like a frisbee. A large, two-handed frisbee, sending it flying through the air to knock the wood plank right out, and continue screaming a path towards Sean. Upon releasing his tire o' doom, he turns to Karin again. "Hey, he started it. You want him to stop gettin' hurt, /you/ knock him out."

Sean brushes off his shoulders, rolls them, then cocks his head from side to side, and just like that, he's back in the game! Though it's probably clear to most of the spectators that Sean would rather be playing the part of the 'tank' as it were. His eyes widen a little as the tire zooms his way, and time seems to slow down at this point, energy starting to crackle around his hands as he takes a step back, it taking form to a small orb. "Oh.. Oh man, I've got a good one for this, hold on!" he exclaims, wind whipping around him for a moment until his palms thursts forward and a burst of energy blasts forward, the orb exploding a brighter white aura about it. The two objects collide; it seems the force was enough to ground Seans burst while the tire end up ricohetting off in another direction. At first the boy seems a little disappointed, but then Sean cooly stands, giving a laugh as he sets his hands on his hips, "I'm getting really 'tired' of this! Ha! See what I did there? Hahahahaha! WOOH!" :D

The blonde can't help but chuckle at Daigo's response. It's true, after all; Sean did start all this. Karin is again struck by the Brazilian's eagerness to get into the thick of things even when he knows nothing about the situation... deep under the foolhardiness of it all is a kind of gusto that Karin, as a businesswoman, respects. Risk-taking is part of profit, after all.

She is musing on this fact when the tire, blasted away by Sean's Hadou Burst, basically lands in her hands. Blinking, Karin pauses... then grins. "Your puns may need some work, Sean, but you are certainly inspirational. As for having him beaten up, Mr. Kazama..." Karin dashes again to the fray, tire still in hand, and does something particularly unorthodox: she attempts to snag the tire around Daigo's neck and use it to drag him to the ground with some force. "I think human resources might object."

It was a nice try, and definately worth noting, however something as big as a truck tire is simply not the sort of thing one desires to get hit by. Sean sure didn't, and look what he did to get away from it. Daigo feels exactly the same way! He's already amazed enough that the Brazillian finally did do something kinda cool, fireballing a truck tire, he's not about to have that same tire wrapped around HIS neck!

"Whoa, whoa! Careful what you're swinging, lady. You might hurt yourself. Here... Let me help you with that." Such a good-natured fighter he is, yeah? The Gedo Boss, an inspiration to all punks, having stepped back from Karin's initial tire-swing, rebounds back with a raised fist, alight with a fiery aura, to try and punch the tire...maybe through it...and to the fleet-footed fighter behind it.

"Yeah," Sean replies to Karin with a light-hearted grin. If he didn't say so himself, that -was inspiring.. Or.. Something. Anywho, that flaming firey goodness doesn't look too good in Seans eye, but luckily he's already on the prowl and looking to be a nuisance once again, "Heads up, Miss Kanzuki!" the Brazillian Bomber calls, though really, what reason would he have to tell her that when he's busy striking low? Perhaps his tactic is to throw off Daigo a bit; for when Sean drops to the ground, one foot snaps out and attempts to smack into Daigos shin, while the other foot strikes toward the back of the same legs knee. It's the most basic of takedowns, but maybe this'll help to push a big advantage.

Inspired by Sean, Karin decided to try and take some risks of her own. After all, it's up to the employer to set an example, isn't it? The fact that her attempt to weather the storm of Daigo's attack in order to get one clean shot at him didn't appear to work is something else entirely. The tire is all but forgotten, and the fist sends the blonde flying back against the battered car around which this fight has orbitted for quite some time, with a rather unnerving cracking sound. There's a moment where Karin doesn't appear to move.

However, eventually she gets up, wiping a tiny bit of blood from her lip, and tries to shake herself out. That hit hard -- plenty hard -- but certainly not enough to down Karin quite yet. "I am impressed, Mr. Kazama," she admits, dropping into stance. "I very rarely am forced to take my efforts to this extent!" She tenses for movement.

And in the blink of an eye, practically, she is *inside* Daigo's guard if he's not careful, lashing out with a bevy of fist strikes, chops, palm strikes, and elbow hits at such speed that to the untrained eye she's essentially a blur. The entire affair lasts a split second, long enough for her to shout the name of the technique in an obligatory way: "Kanzuki-ryuu... Shinpi Kai BYAKU!" The final blow of the storm of hits is a vicious palm strike, full arm extended, to the stomach that thrusts forward with enough force to blow Karin's ringlets back in a sudden burst of displaced air.

They're starting to work like a team... Quite the dangerous team, at that. Daigo, busy trying to defend against the one he knows is a serious threat, Karin, just can't seem to keep his guard up enough to deflect Sean's blows, too. Bit by bit, the plucky Brazillian has done a good job of picking away at Daigo's stamina, and once again it proves to be effective. Karin thought she was the one taking advantage of Sean's openings? It's quite the opposite!

While Daigo does manage to defend against Karin's brutal multi-hit lightning-fast combo, taking a minimal amount of damage in the supafast exchange, he didn't have the ability to simply step up and out of Sean's way. A foot collides with his knee, sending Daigo to both his knees between both his opponents. Not a good place to be, by any means!

There's a way out of this, though. Down on the ground, it looks like it's time to get a little desperate, and a bit more flashy. Daigo isn't above using his chi to his advantage, and he's definately not above using his phoenix art to get a breather. Thus it is now, he focuses yet again, climbing to his feet in the same moment a fiery blaze erupts from him again, sending a second wave of burning chi outwards to blast various ground-bound objects. Tires, signs, wood splinters, fighters, everything in a small radius around him. All the while, keeping as calm as possible as bruised as his body's become fighting two people at once.

Sean is starting to show signs of fatigue too, he hasn't had a match this tough in a -very- long time. Dropping back to his jiu-jitsu roots though is proving to be invaluable here, much to his delight. But man, he is starting to feel the hurt. "Crap," he utters, but actually is not the victim of 'see but cannot do' again, but Sean's left to wonder if Karin will be blessed with a similar fate. Either way, he endures the powerful shockwave, that sends him sliding back a little regardless, along the floor, but now? Now it seems the Daigo is -right- where Matsuda wants him. Sean reaches into his vest pocket, drawing out a single brass knucks that he slips over the fingers of his right hand with a grin, "It's SHOWTIME!" he yells, kip-upping to his feet and dashes forward in a manner not too unlike Sakura's uppercut execution. And he attempts to clock Daigo with an uppercut right under the chin, "Shoryuu...!" he twirls around, dropping into a deep crouch and then bursts upward with another potentially devestating, twirling uppercut, "CANNON!"

Karin had hoped to use her speed to better effect and deliver if not a final blow, then at least a telling one. What she got was practically nothing at all, and that does indeed cause her to set her jaw in a line. However, she doesn't panic; it's not in her nature. As the fire washes toward her she snaps her foot up from the ground, bringing an old, discarded tarp with it, which she waves at the flame like a matador's cape, using it as a preliminary line of defense before she crosses her arms over her chest and face to suck up the rest. There's not a lot of time left to do any talking; instead she presses her attack again, dashing forward with a quick upward elbow strike, before following it up with a second similar strike from the other elbow. By now, nobody's talking but Sean. And that's because that boy's got too much energy to know what to do with. Daigo knew this last-ditch effort wouldn't buy him much time - he saw what the last explosive burst did. Little. It was merely a way to get him enough breathing room to get back to his feet. That, at least, succeeded.

But not for long...

Again he's charged, both his opponents having murderous intent. Daigo's weakened to the point of exhaustion; his body's bruised and battered, a haze clouding his vision, and yet the other two are suffering nearly as much. With two attacks to deal with, the Gedo man only has the strength to handle one, and Sean's just been the more annoying of the two. Mustering up the remains of his strength, he hops away from Karin's double-strike, tarp and all. She isn't so much ignored, as put off to deal with Sean's blaze o' glory assault.

And Sean does, indeed, strike the Gedo Boss a good one in the chin, cracking Daigo's head up, and making it difficult...but not impossible...for him to reach his hand out to stop the other attack, by simply grabbing Sean's head in one big hand, and causing a sudden burst of dark purple chi to erupt into the Brazillian's face, hoping to send him back enough to, again, allow Daigo enough strength to deal with Karin.

But Daigo misjudged. The uppercut hurt worse than he thought. This isn't going to end well...

Sean thought for sure he sealed the deal as soon as that first blow landed- One might imagine the disappointment, but moreso the outstanding astonishment of Daigo overpowering his attack with one of his own and.. Come to think of it, didn't Adelheid do something like this to him? The very thought actually makes the fighter whimper, "... This is -so- going to hur-"
And it pretty much ends there, the eruption of power is fantastic, almost explosive in his view as the almost unbearable pain is unleashed, sending him flying back for -sure-. In many circumstances, he'd be out cold- But this time, he's fueled by the fact that he's got a teamate, and an extremely important one on top of that.
For a moment he can't even here anything, and in his position everything is upside down; but his tenacity and spirit here is enough to make him act on pure instinct, "Rrrrghh." his hands draw back, and the orange aura forms in his palms once more, crackling intensely as he knits his brows, 'This is all I got left, Kanzuki,' he thinks, 'It's up to you from here!' And there's one more mighty cry as he thrusts his palms outward, at the exact moment he not only slams into the dojo, but this time right THROUGH it, as the Hadou Burst winds and shakes toward Daigo, the orange chi bursting with it's trademark white aura.
.. Ok, so maybe technically Chun-Li did it first, but her REVOLUTIONIZED it!! And then from that point there is only silence...
.. Oh wait.. Wait a moment!
"... oh my back."

The problem with Karin's aggressive assault is that it's taking a lot of energy to maintain. She's not as bad off as Daigo appears to be, but she's slowing down too... and Sean going down in a burst of drama does not make her all that confident that she can pull this off, either. Gritting her teeth, she notes the incoming blast as Sean makes one last ditch attempt and, struggling to maintain her speed despite protesting muscles, she ducks forward and attempts to simply snag Daigo and toss him in the direction of the fireball. If it makes him collide, great. If he ends up landing on a pile of broken TVs... well, it's not the intent but whatever works, at this point.

A final outburst from the Brazillian! A big blast of chi! It totally wrecks the dojo, exploding out and screaming towards Daigo with the promise of a thousand painful deaths... ...But Daigo rolls out of the way. Unfortunately he rolled right into Karin's loving grasp, and without the energy to fight or break the hold, he gets casually, coldly tossed into a pile of broken objects. TV's, radios, and other things the more unruly members of Gedo 'donated'. Several loud crunching noises, a couple cracks of glass, and Daigo's pretty well torn up and damn near sapped of his remaining strength. "...ow..."

Daigo can hardly move, and can't do much else than get up out of the pile of broken glass and other such trash, pure adrenaline enabling him to make one final toss at Karin. A moment passes, and Daigo doesn't get attacked. There's an odd peace, amid the roaring of the spectators. It's a breath of fresh air, and the Gedo Boss shrugs his way up to his feet, shakily at that, to see that his going-away present actually did make Karin 'go away'. Leaving Daigo scratching his head, but not completely dissatisfied with the outcome.
