Description: This Second Victory tournament battle pits Kain and Hinata against Kyo and Gabriel... on a freeway overpass! (Winners: Kain and Hinata)
Gabriel was there early like usual.. Praying. Yes that's right, praying and does she have? Yes, I think that is coolaid. Why does she have cool aid you might ask? Well she read on the label it was a thirst quencher and decided she needed one, but had no idea that it is in fact just sugar and water. Too much sugar. The first taste told her that, but she mustn't waste it right? Still.. To drink it.. that might be pushing it.
She hadn't met Kyo yet, but she knew how he looked, a twenty something only recently graduating high school if her information was right, the 'king of fighters'. . How a drop out failure could be so successful. Perhaps the Goddess blessed him for somethign else. Who would go first..? Well.. Gabriel chose the middle of the would be ring to do her praying so..
"Goddess watch over," she murmurs and kisses her pendant.
"What the hell is this?" a cheery voice calls, skipping (actual skipping) toward the chalked out circle of the impromptu fighting arena, a cordoned off section of a freeway overpass still under construction. It's Hinata Wakaba, still in her Taiyo uniform and fresh from campus, though looking disappointed. "It just figures.. I get in a big tournament and they don't even fly me out anywhere cool. I don't even get bus fare!" Large piles of raw materials are spread around the edges of the white chalk ring. They didn't do much to clean the area up for such an important tournament battle. Big yellow machines too. Cranes and stuff!
"Gabriel.." The Sunshine Girl brushes off the skirt of her Taiyo uniform, then lifts her head to peer around. "Your partner here yet? I haven't even met mine, but I hope it goes well."
Tournaments... For the most part, they could probably be considered a waste of Kain's time. There /are/ other opportunities to face off against talented fighters. Still, even if Rugal is misguided in some respects, the leader of R isn't a total loss, and Kain doesn't have much else that he needs to be doing at the moment. Besides... There's always the possibility of getting a chance to go up against Geese Howard.
Standing at the first series of barricades keeping people off of the overpass, Kain observes the area for a moment before continuing on toward the section set aside for the fight. He knows little to nothing of his partner, and he doesn't particularly care. If she manages to prove herself to be of some worth, though, he at least probably won't go /through/ her to get at his opponents. And this particular match has an opponent that Kain wants to see humbled. Kain's feelings toward Kyo are nothing compared to his hatred for Geese, but he does find Kusanagi to be a notable source of irritation.
Glancing briefly at Hinata as he comes into position, Kain slips his hands into his pockets and waits around for the start of the match. The girl doesn't /look/ like anything special, but looks can be deceiving. She'll have to prove herself before she earns anything even remotely approaching respect from Kain, though.
Kyo stands off to the side of the chalked-off area, leaned against a section of a concrete highway divider. In general, he looks bored and distracted, gaze occasionally drifting off towards the city. His assigned teammate's praying routine in the middle of the fighting area does get his attention, though not in a particularly good way, "Tch, relying on some higher power for your strength is just asking to be let down..." he murmurs to himself under his breath.
Shifting his gaze from Gabriel over and up to Kain, Kyo lets fly one of his trademark cocky smirks at the blond fighter, "Hey! It looks like you've finally recovered from all those burn wounds, huh?! I'm surprised the doctors found enough left of you to scrape up off the ground after our last fight!"
Mmph.. Gabriel rises and fixes Hinata with her stare. She gives the girl a nod of aproval after a moment,
"Hinata Wakaba, I have not met mine before either, but I estimate them to both be present, we may begin I believe, unless they intend to object.." she doesn't really wait, instead she bows respectfully.
"Anytime you are ready."
Hinata quickly punches her fists together and pulls her bright orange armwarmers on a little tighter. "Well, it's their fault if they wanna miss the show! I'm not afraid, whoever it might be!" C'mon, seriously, she's been itching to get to this fight for days. It's the big leagues! "Ready? 'Cause here I come!"
She's so eager to get it started that she barely waits for the confirmation of a judge somewhere in the crowd before she balls a fist and starts with a loud cry. "Banzai!" ... she actually said 'banzai' just before leaping at Gabriel to grab her by the front of the shirt and start things off with a spinning over the shoulder throw and slam at the ground!

Gabriel is taken a little off guard and ponders the eager start to the match.
"Mmm." she comments toward Hinata a moment before getting bamphled to the ground by the through.
"Not bad. But now it is my turn,.."
Gabriel leaps into the air with one of her usuals, attempting to grapple Hinata about the throat with her legs. she's wearing pants so no ideas guys, pants and a jacket, it's her usual fighting outfit all over again.
If she can land on Hinata's shoulders, she'll slam some energy home and give a disproving mmm sound, before flip kicking off.

"Hah!" The Wakaba girl gives a short, triumphant laugh.. then gets snagged by the throat. "Huk!" Then a quick burst of energy from.. somewhere slams into her head and sends the girl to her knees briefly. That was.. unexpected. Hinata shakes her head to clear the little stars circling it. But they're so pretty..
Quickly she's back on her feet, fists raised again. It takes a lot to put a Taiyo student down. "Here we go.." She lowers her stance, crouching down slightly. "Down." Still crouching, she leans forward a little. "Down-forward." Then she starts to tiptoe forward a liiiiiittle bit. "Forward, and... HA!" Throwing both hands out, palm forward, a twinkle of bright yellow light springs to life and blossoms into a large fireball shaped like a sunflower that rockets out toward Gabriel. "Booyah!"

Gabriel reaches a hand out, literally catching the ball and seeming to absorb it. It's a trick more than anything, the attack is still there, but what looks and what is could be terribly different the motion she makes.
Throwing both hands out, palm forward, a twinkle of bright purple light springs to life and blossoms into a large fireball shaped like a sunflower that rockets out toward Hinata. "Booyah!"
Booyah is with less feeling then it was delivered to her.
"You didn't really expect that to hit me.. with so much delay."

"That is sooo not fair! I patented that move!" Hinata stamps a foot when her personal sunflower fireball gets caught. "Give it back!" She quickly learns to regret those words when Gabriel does give it back. "Wait! No.. not like that!" Throwing up both hands, she stops the redirected attack against her palms, then shakes out her smoking hands and shrieks a little bit. "Ow ow ow ow OW! It hurts and stings!" Yeah, way to look cool in front of the crowd, Wakaba. Real smooth.
But she recovers quickly anyway, balling a fist and raising it toward Gabriel. "Alright, enough with the fancy stuff, then! Let's rumble, old-school style!" Throwing a few punches in the air in an attempt to regain her dignity, she hopskips toward Gabe and makes as if to throw another punch but drops to the ground and lashes out with a kick to the ankles to sweep Gabriel off her feet.

Old school style? Gabriel is admittingly taken off guard there and gets the kick landed. She takes a moment to reflect and in doing so winces, showing her pretty teeth.
"Too.. slow!" she cries then realizing she actually did get hit simply changes her mind and instead says,
"No, just too weak.. I think.. I might of felt something.."
She reaches out and tries to position her hand on Hinata's collar bone then trip her over the back of her heel, very hard.

"Oh yeah? Come over here and say that," Hinata taunts, snapping her fingers once and pointing at Gabriel. But then, again, she regrets talking so much when Gabe does just that. Seized by the collar and pushed backwards, Hinata flails and tries to throw a fast uppercut to Gabriel's chin, a flaring aura of bright orange energy surrounding her fist by missing wildly. The whole being knocked off her feet thing messed up her aim. She hits the concrete on her back, driving a short breath from her lungs and yet again wounding her pride more than anything.
Gabriel . . . .
This girl was weird. "You are very strong," Gabriel comments, "But not very pure. This I will fix." She reaches for.. unfortunately all she has is her coolaid. She then reaches for Hinata's throat to hold her down, maybe chockingly so and pour the coolaid down her throat, it's red, isn't all coolaid red?
"This is for your own good... Be pure!" she cries, then really unleashes the sticky red grossness. It's like.. pure sugar water. More sugar than water. Coolaid. eww.

Oooo-kay. This is unusual. It's been a long time since somebody tried to force a drink down her throat, and Hinata's pretty sure it was Sakura testing a new energy drink to make sure it wasn't poisonous first. But hey.. Kool-Aid? Indeed, Gabriel has made a serious tactical error. Hinata Wakaba thrives on sugar!
*glug glug glug glug* Without slowing down, Hinata drinks the Kool-Aid, then reaches up and snatches away the bottle to finish the rest of it by herself, tossing the empty bottle to the side as she springs back to her feet. "OH YEAH! Thanks, I really needed that!" It was actually nice, aside from the choking her and holding her down bit. "Ready again? I know *I* feel refreshed!" Hinata, sparing not a moment, immediately rushes at Gabriel shoulder first, intent on driving a chi-laced elbow straight into her gut. Repeatedly.

Gabriel is just straight up shocked, she steps back with utter disbelief, her opponent managed to.. Drink it? And she's fine? Gabriel thought the stuff was terrible. She only just manages to cover the attack with her arms, stepping back, hunching and giving an unusally big wince. Okay..
"I do .. not think I did you a favor, " Gabriel admits, then tries to palm thrust Hinata in the gut.
"Nor is this, Confess!"

The palm thrust smacks into Hinata's stomach, but the Taiyo girl just kind of... smiles. "Confess what? I haven't done anything yet.. but I'm gonna!" Her hands grab at Gabriel's extended arm, ready to grip it tightly and use the arm as a lever by turning in place, crouching and leading Gabriel's arm onto her shoulder, then another over-the-shoulder flip straight down into the concrete.

It's quick and rather well executed, Gabriel can't help but to be impressed by this attack. But it does sort of put Gabriel behind Hinata so.. why not.
"You're very skilled" Gabriel confesses.. Then reaches to grab hinata by the arm. If she succeeds she'll twist it behind her back and start to charge her other hand full of chi.
"Deliverance! " She would exclaim, assuming she hits, and Hotaru style chi beam through her from behind, only not on the ground, anyway, then she'll let go.
Shinobu travels down the main highway into the Business District.

Hinata wrenches her arm away from Gabriel, but in doing so twists her wrist painfully. But on the plus side, she's not in the way of the very unfriendly-looking beam of energy that would have just hit her dead on. A small price to pay? But fighting with a twisted wrist is no fun at all.
"You're pretty good too, but I'm not about to give up. This is my chance, and I won't lose to anyone!" Hinata kneels down, noticably favoring her untwisted right wrist by lifting it over her head and keeping the left arm protectively tucked back. A bright aura of orange-red energy starts to glow around her fist, obviously going to try a chi-powered punch. But just as quickly, she sprints forward and slaps the glowing hand to the ground. There is a loud bang, and through the flash Hinata springs with both feet forward, heels glowing like a shuttle on re-entry. "Wakaba Special, Shock and Awe!"

It hits Gabriel, well more like deflects off of her shoulder, it doesn't hit her very solidly, that much is certain. Still she'll wince a little before shaking her head a little and commenting,
"It was a nice try.. But little more than that.." A thought seems to cross her mind then she just leans out and makes a low kicking motion.

A little high on the bravado, Hinata gets taken in by an easy shot and knocked off her feet, stumbling forwards and scraping her chin and knees badly on the concrete of the unfinished overpass. How can she be losing so completely? Isn't everything Hibiki-sensei taught her that Saikyo is the strongest? "... Nnng..." She tries to push herself back to her feet, fingernails scratching against the ground.
Is she an embarassment or what? "You!" Hinata is on her feet and pointing at Kain. She's not entirely sure if that's her partner, but he *is* standing in her corner and looks slightly less normal than just any old bystander. It takes a lot to admit, but with her head lowered, Hinata speaks up. "I'm sorry.. I can't go on." Lifting a hand toward Kain, palm up, she asks to be tagged out.

Kain narrows his eyes at Hinata for a moment, then gives a brief shake of his head. Ah well. She's better than the majority of people, but that's not really saying much so far as Kain is concerned. Still, at least now he has something to do. Brushing past her without pausing, or even giving her any further acknowledgement, Kain enters the fighting area at a fast pace, immediately dropping into a run toward Gabriel. No sense in wasting time, is there?
The German charges at his opponent, starting to swing his right leg up off the ground as he draws near. It seems he intends to start things off with a solid blow, purple flames flaring up around his foot as he attempts to drive it straight into Gabriel's face.
Kyo pushes off the concrete barrier and starts trudging over towards the edge of the chalk circle with little enthusiasm. He waits.

Raising her arms to catch the blow, Gabriel gets seriously pushed back. She grunts a little Tsch, looking fully ready to engage in the fight.
"You are Kain Heinlein. I am impressed that such a failure of a student could come of your tutelage, but I will assume it was his own weakness that led to his failure. Unless you are no teacher at all." Her eyes narrow and she notices Kyo. He wants in, Gabriel relents with a touch of annoyance. It's as if she wanted to stay.
" Very well. " she turns her back on Kain, confident he's not interested in her anyway,
"Do what you want," she says to Kyo.

As soon as Gabriel tags him in. Kyo switches from bored and ambivalent to a whirling dervish. He charges right at Kain with terrific speed, boots clacking loudly against the blackened pavement. "Last time I got bored and just decided to blow you up quickly... but this time I think I'll let you see my TRUE power--!" He pivots right in front of Kain, spinning around to deliver a smashing hook punch with his left fist, punctuated by a bloom of that damned crimson flame.
"KURAE!!"

Kain's upper lip curls up for a moment in a sneer as Kyo comes charging in toward him. "A lucky fluke means nothing. Trash like you..." Kain raises a forearm, letting Kyo's fist crash into that, the flames washing almost harmlessly over his arm. "...needs to learn your place!"
As he finishes speaking, Kain shoves both of his hands out toward Kyo, purple flame around flaring up in his palms. He doesn't actually touch Kusanagi, but he doesn't need to. The flames in his hand explode outwards, forming a man-sized cloud of fire in which he tries to engulf Kyo.

Kyo's fist strikes Kain's forearm, but almost immediately, the young scion of the flames is spinning around again. This time the fancy footwork puts him directly to the side of Kain while the large plume of purple fire engulfs the area where Kyo once stood, "You're SLOW!!" Kyo exclaims while shooting a leg behind one of Kain's, then trying to shove the blond fighter against it in order to trip him to the ground.

Well, that could have gone better. Kain tries to brace his leg against Kyo's to give him time to pull out of the way, but apparently Kusanagi manages to get better leverage. Kain goes tripping over backwards, about to go sprawling out on the ground. Not a good situation to be in. At least he can give Kyo something to deal with while he attempts to get back up.
Sacrificing the ability to catch himself as he falls, Kain sweeps both of his arms out toward Kyo, sending a shower of tiny purple flames sailing toward the younger man. They're not likely to do any real damage, but perhaps they'll provide Kain with a bit of a screen, and a moment to recover.

Kyo isn't fazed by the barrage of flame pellets, simply standing his ground and letting them strike him. The Schwarzer Funken inflicts a variety of small pockmark-like burns on Kyo's body, but doesn't provide Kain any more time than usual to regain his bearings; Kyo keeps up the assault by pretty much trying to punt Kain off the ground into the air, then follow that up by leaping forwards to hit him in the air again with the other leg!

The first part of Kyo's attack succeeds as planned, and Kain gets launched into the air. Unfortunately for Kusanagi, Kain /did/ have a moment to prepare himself, and he takes advantage of it now. As Kyo comes leaping up to kick him again, Kain's fist is already arcing down to meet him. He twists to let the kick just graze his side as he slams his fist straight into Kyo's chest, a blast of blue chi providing some extra oomph as Kyo gets sent back down toward the ground. Kain, meanwhile, twists himself to land on his feet, clenching his fist tighter as he hits the ground. He doesn't say anything, merely looking at Kyo coldly as the blue chi energy continues to swirl around his hand.
"Whoa!" Hinata lets a startled yell from the sidelines, hands tightly gripping the barrier railing that she leaned against to regain her breath. These guys are... on a whole different level than her. She didn't even know you could *do* stuff like that. "G-.. get 'im! That's the way to do it!" The Wakaba girl pumps a fist in the air, yelling encouragement to her partner. Kain might not appreciate it, but it always works with her classmates!
Kyo also lands on his feet, though a little bit more shakily than Kain does, and with one hand by the scorch mark on his chest. "Cute," Kyo says, smirking over at Kain. He doesn't switch his tactics up just because he took a hard hit though, and in fact re-doubles his efforts, dashing straight at Kain even more quickly this time. This time he rotates his body in the opposite direction of his first attack, and although this too is a hooking punch attack with a burst of crimson flame generated, there is something definitely different about the approach this time...

"YOU THINK THAT SHIT YOU SLING AROUND IS STRONG?!" Yells Kyo as he smashes into Kain's face with the first punch, "I'LL SMASH THROUGH EVERYTHING YOU GOT!!" Kyo spread his arms, hitting Kain both high and low with the backs of his knuckles with generating another burst of flame, then jumps forward leading with his shoulder, plowing the blond-haired fighter into the air.
Kain gets launched into the air, blood dripping down the side of his face from a wound on his scalp, but he doesn't appear to be letting that get to him. Not judging by the flash of blue light in his right hand, anyway. Kain lands on his feet as he gets knocked away from Kyo, skidding as he hits the ground. And when he comes to a stop, a ball of greenish-blue flame is already forming in the palm of his hand. No taunting or baiting the opposition now... Attempting to verbally spar with Kyo simply isn't worth his time, when he could be attempting to blow Kusanagi up.
Case in point, as the blue orb of flame suddenly expands outward, the force of the chi causing Kain's hair to blow back and his clothes to flutter. And then the sphere launches out toward Kyo, easily large enough to engulf his entire body should it hit...

Kyo gets blown up alright, a muffled yell of pain can be heard over the sound of the Himmlische Seele exploding in the middle of the chalked-off area. The blast sends strong gusts and clouds of debris in every direction, and creates a small crater in the overpass. In the middle of this depression is Kyo, holding one of his arms just below the shoulder. It looks limp. "Tch..." he groans, looking at Kain with yet another cocky smirk. "So you brought that out, huh, you must be pretty worried!" Kyo starts walking up towards Kain, his pace getting quicker by the step, until yes, he is charging at Kain again, steadfest in his mission to basically punch Kain's brain out of the back of the guy's head.

And once again, Kain thwarts the amateur lobotomy by bringing up his right arm, letting Kyo's fist smack solidly against the limb. "Worried? No, I don't think so." And then Kain suddenly slides forward, running his right arm along the inside of Kyo's arm as he reaches for Kusanagi's throat, attempting to snare him with a hand that is now engulfed with purple fire. And should he manage to do so, he'll lift Kyo up off the ground, while the fire spreads to engulf his head and upper chest.

"What was that?" Okay, so Kain can be a bit chatty, too. Especially when he's holding his opponent by the throat, and searing his flesh. "It's not so easy when you don't have everything handed to you on a silver platter, now is it?" Still holding Kyo aloft with his right hand, Kain balls his left hand into a fist, driving it forward with the intention of slamming it into Kyo's stomach with another flare of blue chi.

Kyo reaches to intercept Kain's open hand, but is apparently still shaking off the effects of the huge fireball he was hit with previously. So instead of countering Kain's grab, he gets choked + flambe'd for a few seconds, though he's able to shunt aside the quick punch with the side of his arm. Finally he's released, and as he drops to the ground he reaches for the lapels of Kain's coat, then turns so that his back is to Kain, using it for leverage in an attempt to toss Heinlein over his shoulder and down into the crater, judo-style.
Gabriel ... Bored. She moves around the ring, figuring .. Hey if she's called in, she'll go in.
"Hinata-san, you are quite a skilled fighter, but you should not of drank the red liquid I gave you, I thought it was a sports drink, but it turned out to be sugar water.. Of some kind. I think it actually dehydrates you. Will you be okay?" Gabriel asks, tilting her head as she approaches the other girl. Watching fights is more fun with someone to make snarky comments with.

As he's grabbed, Kain begins lifting his hands up toward Kyo's face, intending to send him flying with a blast of flaming chi, even if he does get lifted up off the ground in the meantime. Kyo follows through on his throw a bit more quickly than Kain was expecting, however, resulting in the blast of flame being released at a bad angle, hitting the ground a few feet in front of Kyo as Kain gets hefted up and over, crashing down on his back.
"I... can't believe how powerful they are," Hinata replies, never taking her eyes off the battle in front of her. Seriously, she's fought against Ken Masters before and it didn't actually intimidate her like *this*. These guys are just so brutal, and summoning so much energy so easily. "Huh?" The girl blinks a few times and realizes Gabriel is standing there. "Oh.. the drink? Nah, that's not too bad. My workout drink is at least *twice* as strong as that. And it has lemon juice in it!"
Gabriel gives Hinata a look of sheer shock then shrugs and sits down next to her.
"They are very wasteful looking with their energy, but I would gladly take either as a mentor. Actually I would prefer Kyo-san, as Kain-san was Jiro-kun's mentor and you can see how much worse Jiro seems to of gotten from it."
Kyo grins, feeling the momentum of the fight turning in his favor. "You think my power is trash huh? Worthless because of that little silver spoon speach of your's?" A faint red glow appears around Kyo's body as he holds up an open palm while talking, "Let's put your theory to the test... your pathetic powers... OR MY SCORCHING-HOT RED FLAMES!! HAAAAAH-" A flame wicks into life in the upward raised palm, one that grows and grows until his whole hand, then arm, and finally his entire body is engulfed in helish fires!
When the flames have reached their apex, Kyo sweeps his arm down in front of him, sending out a swirling, coalescing wave of pure heat right at Kain's fallen body.

Kain manages to get to his knees by the time the wave of flame from Kyo hits him, engulfing his entire body in the bloodline flames. Things are looking pretty bad for him... but then he continues to get to his feet, fire burning around him. And then the flames begin to whirl around him suddenly, with streaks of purple appearing in the orange. And then the entire mess explodes, leaving Kain standing there, smoke drifting gently up from a few scorch marks on his skin and clothing.
"As I said... Such power is wasted on you." And once more, greenish blue energy begins swirling in Kain's hands. "You're going to have to do better than /that/." The chi expands outward again, but this time it doesn't take the form of a sphere. Instead a dancing wall of flame forms in front of Kain, before launching toward Kyo as a wave of firey pain, intended to sweep Kusanagi right out of this fight...

Right out of the fight is right, because Kyo gets blasted into the air by the wall of flame generated by Kain Heinlein and clear off of the overpass, and after a short flight he dissapears into some foliage past the edge of the road. Looks like Gabriel is going to have to carry the team for the rest of this battle.

Wisps of blue flame still fading away from his fingertips, Kain watches Kyo fly off the edge of the overpass with a grim smile on his face. No need to comment, and besides, Kyo isn't in a position to hear it, anyway. Turning his back on the fight, Kain walks toward Hinata, gesturing over his shoulder toward Gabriel. "You take care of the rest. See if perhaps you can give a more impressive performance this time."
And then, just to prove that the gods hate assholes, Kain gets hit in the back of the head by a flying boot.

"Well.." Gabriel starts and then hops back into the circle, she doesn't likely have a great chance here, but that's not about to stop her from trying. She'll give it her best, at least she looks ready to give it her best as she rushes in, makes a charge at Kain, afterall, maybe she can catch him off guard.
"It won't be from lack of effort, " Gabriel says in a very cold voice,
"Nor will they say that Kai Gabriel failed in her task, they will just say.." She pauses a moment, looks angry, squeezes her hand into the shape of a sword purple chi energy and exclaims,
"Die.. Avenging angel!" And she swings it at Kain.

"Wh.. what? Me?" Hinata's more startled than actually put off by this. Seriously, Kain doesn't seem the type who'd be content to just sit back and watch the rest of it going on. She was just so entranced by everything going on, she kinda forgot *she* was part of this too! "I mean... yeah! You bet!"
Gabriel's energy sword swing whistles toward Kain's retreating back, though the blonde fighter doesn't seem to concerned as of yet. That's because he's got Hinata Wakaba on his side, naturally! C'mon... believe it. Hinatea leaps forward, slapping her palms together to catch the blade of energy between her palms. It's totally sweet, she saw it in a samurai movie once. "Not so fast.. he already tagged out, y'know." The energy is kinda making Hinata's hands tingle and smoke a bit. "So I guess it's just you and me again."
Oooh... Hinata is so not gonna lose again. Saikyo is the strongest, and y'know why? Because Stone Cold Hibiki said so! She wrenches the energy blade aside, effectively halting the attack, then beckons to Gabriel with a gentle curling of her fingers. "C'mon. Let's do this right. Hit me." She breathes slowly, trying to get her fighting spirit going again.

Her eyes narrow, like blue ice, full of wrath now, she's in full form, a hand reaches toward where her sword would be, if only she were wearing it. That's fine, she doesn't need it. hit her huh,
"If you insist!" Exclaims Gabriel and thrusts both palms out into a double palm strike, stomping her feet and projecting her body into the attack, clearly meaning to do some serious damage if she can somehow make it land, oh and if that wasn't enough, she puts all of her weight behind it.

Hinata's own hands lash out and meet Gabriel's, palm to palm, suddenly curling her fingers and lacing them through her opponent's. The two are locked together, like one of those old wrestling matches that test your strength. Or maybe like sumo, but with far fewer fat guys in diapers.
The Sunshine Girl shifts her weight suddenly backwards, hands locked with Gabriel's and intent on pulling her off balance and straight into a sudden rising kick toward the chin, one of Hinata's slightly oversized cross-trainers making a beeline toward the sky and fanning her Taiyo skirt upwards along with it.

Gabriel does her best to get under that attack, it's too risky for her to allow herself to get hit by, afterall, then she remember something and charges Hinata, attempting to grab Hinata by the foot and twist her leg a little.
"This fight is practically meaningless, but I will make you pure !" She exclaims to Hinata. Her fury seems to of been let go, Gabriel is in holy wrath mode.

That's right.. just a little closer, Gabriel. Hinata balls a fist at her side, setting her stance with her right fist raised to shoulder height and aiming straight ahead. Wait for it...
"Now!" Suddenly the Sunshine Girl's fist bursts into bright orange flames as she sweeps the punch down and then straight back up into the air with a spiralling leap, catching Gabriel squarely in the jaw with a well-timed Fauxryuken. "The only kind of meaningless fight... is where you don't give your best!"
Rolling back after the attack to her feet, all Gabriel can say is, it didn't hurt until a while after it landed. . Like it was that fast. Amazing that such an attack came from Dan's Dojo, Gabriel herself would be impressed, if she wasn't fumming with rage just then, unfortunately she is. A hand opened, twitching the fingers rigid.. She looks livid and ready to attack, but instead she stands there, straightens and just grunts.

Wordlessly, Hinata drops down from the spinning leap and draws a foot across the ground with a low scraping noise. A smile has found its way onto her lips again. Fingers lightly touch the ground of the overpass as Hinata crouches and leans forward slightly, then cocks her hips up like a sprinter waiting for the gunshot. "Hup!" The speed of her takeoff is quite good, being a backup for the track and field team whenever they have need of her. Pumping her arms and legs, she runs straight at Gabriel, vaults, and brings her foot leg down and across at an angle, leaving a wake of orange chi in the air behind it.

This time Gabriel vaults backward, trying to do something similar to a backflip to get out of the way. In the process picking up a bottle from the ground and landing on her feet to chuck it at Hinata.

If you were expecting the empty beer bottle to shatter, you'd be disappointed. Instead it makes a noise sort of like *KLONK* when it hits Hinata in the forehead and nearly takes her off her feet, snapping her head backwards and making her teeter on her feet for a second.
"OOOW! OH GAWD! You hit me! Right in the face!" Hinata claps both hands to her forehead where the bottle just hit and hops in place from foot to foot, lacking any other real way to express her pain and frustration than by interpretive dance. She winces and slowly draws a hand away from the impact spot. "I'm gonna have a lump there! That really hurt!"

Nevermind that Gabriel wasn't done there either. She literally leans down, keeping her distance, picking a manhole cover up and spinning around to give herself enough strength to hurl it at Hinata.
"This should provide a much larger lump to hide the first one. But do not worry, after purification is complete you will no longer have need for your worldly body."

Hinata's at least partially ready for a followup. She was kind of expecting it... just not quite so large, metallic, and manhole cover shaped. Now, Wakaba! Remember your intense training of watching all those Bruce Lee movies! "Wataaaaah!" She leaps into the air and *kicks* the heavy steel manhole cover, knocking it off course to clatter noisily to the ground a few feet away. Well... that worked, a few broken toes aside.
"You're getting really creepy, y'know that?" Hinata runs (be fair, hobbles) toward Gabriel. She keeps throwing things, so the best idea would be to get up close and personal again. Leading with a shoulder tackle, she's fully intending to segue into a combo of three left jabs and a hard right cross, all laced with cheerfully rainbow colored splashes of chi with each strike!

And gabriel deflects as much as she can off of her arms. It wasn't a bad attack, it was actually quite nice, but in hindsight, she was suddenly wishing she had handled it differently. Oh well, what's done is done, and now it's time for some pay back.

"This is righteous fury. This is.. " Gabriel doesn't say, her only chance, instead she tries to do a palm thrust, with energy rippling from it, to Hinata's face.

Hinata just isn't there for Gabriel's palm thrust, having ducked straight down to get below it. It's kinda good to be short sometimes. And from her new vantage point, a strategy forms! Besides the fact that noting Gabriel's shoes are actually kinda nice. But then... oh yes, the plan. The Sunshine Girl makes a grab for both of Gabe's ankles at once, intending to give a good firm pull and take the zealot fighter off her feet. "Upsy-daisy!"

"I *said* 'Upsy-Daisy' and I MEANT it!" If there was something Gabriel was expecting, it probably wasn't for Hinata to slap the grabbing hand away and immediately turn her back. Not a very wise thing for a fighter to do, but then again, it puts Hinata in a very good position to quickly crouch, plant both hands in front of her, and mule kick straight backwards into Gabriel's chest with a bright flash of energy, sending her flying.

This time Gabriel is flung back, but if Hinata expected that to be the end of her, she was in turn also mistaken, Gabriel gets up, her breath shot out from the attack so you can't hear the silent protest she gives, the thud is very solid though.
"Very.. good.. " Gabriel admits and staggers toward Hinata.
"Here.. Goes.. " She makes a sudden jerk motion and tries to chop Hinata at the base of the neck,
"Chop." She says, with a cough.

Hinata whirls to intercept Gabriel's chop with her forearm, though makes no witty dialogue for the moment. Maybe the situation is getting serious enough that it's time to put away the talking and make with the fighting as best she can. "Hup!" The Sunshine Girl, now in Serious Mode, makes a grab for Gabriel's head with both hands, trying to first pull it, then push it down towards the ground, then finally use it as a springboard by stepping on it and leaping over Gabriel to safety. It's like leapfrog, only more hurty.

It looks like the rabid Gabriel can get taken down, eventually. So.. with what looks like a rather hard hit, the fairly out there fighter starts to drop, but she isn't going down without one last try at running Hinata through with her sword of Chi. She's quite annoyed at this point. She summons it by squeezing her hand, causing it to flare up in it's purple death.
"Die.. " she manages in a low and dark tone.

Landing lightly a few paces away from Gabriel the Springboard, Hinata whirls with her fists raised. She had no illusions that the fight was quite over yet. Oh, yep, see? There it comes. A big sword made out of purple energy. ... big sword made out of purple energy?
"AH CRAP!" Hinata looks frantically back and forth for something she could use to deflect it, but has a feeling that her own left arm would prove poor material for parrying a lightsaber. "Aaaaaah!" By reflex action and that little bit of instinctual brain matter that tells you that not dying is generally a good thing, the Sunshine Girl of Taiyo High leaps straight up, plants a palm on the top of Gabriel's head, and again demeaningly uses her as a springboard for success, vaulting over the charging blade strike and to safety. That was lucky.
Gabriel meanwhile is compelled forward, to collapse in a heap of evil a few paces away.
