Description: Rock says, "I am all man. /I AM ENTIRELY MAN/" Guy says, "Prove it, for I suspect you are merely 95% man! And anybody can tell you, that is just NOT. MAN. ENOUGH." (Winner: Guy)
Last time they fought, Rock had Home Team advantage. Today? Today it's entirely different. A challenge was issued -- by Rock, this time -- with a promise that they could take the fight in Metro City. This time, they're fighting on the rooftop of the skyscraper that once ruled over all of Metro City. It's been refurbished -- at least the rooftop -- to allow for a safe fight high above the streets of Metro City. And this is where Rock is, after being flown down by helicopter the rest of the building is too decrepit and ruined to make a regular climb through the stairs safe. A quick hop from the side of a helicopter (Guy has his own way of getting up, presumably), and... there. He's on the roof. And ready.
Jeez, it's cold.
Zipping his jacket up, Rock shoves his hands into his pockets, lingering where he is and waiting for his opponent.
COMBATSYS: Rock has started a fight here.

[OOC] Rock says, "Who starts actually fighting?"
[OOC] Guy says, "I dunno. Let's fight for it."
A regular climb up the stairs isn't safe, sure, but in a rare fit of what borders on sentimentality, Guy's decided that a brief trip down memory lane might not be such a bad thing. He's going up the same way he did with Haggar and Cody years ago, remembering who he punched where, and that one spot where Haggar actually headbutted through a punk's knife-thrust...and naturally, where Cody uppercutted Belger through a window. It's a good reminder of the sort of evil he's had to face before, the reason that he still has to fight and grow stronger today. Guy can't always count on having friends nearby in his neverending fight against the forces of injustice in the world, after all.
But all of that's really just the reason that momentarily, the door to the stairwell opens and Guy comes striding out, immediately fixating his gaze upon Rock. The ninja stops, folds his arms, and after a few moments of deliberation, nods. Looks like he's ready.
Rock nods to his opponent. They've done this enough times that there's no particular pattern of events here. They meet, they fight, and things go on. Rock simply slides into his combat stance, both fists clenched as he keeps his eyes set on, entirely focused upon, his foe's eyes. There's where he's going to know what happens next. There, and a little bit of instinct and a healthy bit of luck, right? Let's go.
[OOC] Rock says, "Sorry for the delay on that."
COMBATSYS: Rock focuses on his next action.

It's always nice to be able to get down to a fight without useless chatter. Guy's never been good at that anyway. Heck, he's not even very good at meaningful chatter. It's a good thing eloquence of speech isn't a requirement for kicking ass. In any case, since Rock, as usual, seems content to just stand back and watch at first, it falls upon Guy to go into action. Dashing forward, the ninja leaps into the air, and then simply attempt to kick Rock in the chest. That's it. Simple and straightforward - a marked departure from the tactics the ninja used in his last fight with Rock.

Rock's got his eyes on Guy as he darts through the air at the incredible speeds that he's typically used to -- but that's okay. Rock's been keeping his eyes trained on the situation, red eyes narrowing as the ninja sails towards him. One. Two. ... /Three/! Rock hits the ground at precisely the right moment, ducking beneath Guy's foot as it sails right over his head. With his free hand -- a free hand already blazing with a gout of indigo flame -- Rock hurls a wave of chi right into the ninja's foot, the one he's using to fend off Rock's good friend, gravity.

It's a good response to Guy's attack - swift, and dangerous. However, even with his back turned, even with those precious few seconds with which to act, Guy somehow knows it's coming. Call it ninja intuition, planning, whatever. The fact of the matter is that Guy immediately leaps into the air upon landing, throwing himself up and backward, clearing the Reppuken by mere inches, and Rock himself by considerably more than that. Landing a few moments later on the other side of Rock, Guy just charges forward again, this time leading in with a sliding elbow.
COMBATSYS: Guy successfully hits Rock with Jab Punch.

That's going to leave a mark. Rock sees and acknowledges this plain fact as he sees the fist coming his way, a fist too fast to entirely avoid. He is, however, able to avoid the bulk of the potential by sliding his weight to the side, being struck on the shoulder instead of the chin. Which works out, if only because Rock immediately shoves Guy backwards with one hand, or attempts to, before hurling his arm right back into Guy's face with an elbow strike of his own, this one followed up immediately by a chi-blazing palm strike right to Guy's nose.
COMBATSYS: Guy blocks Rock's Hard Edge.

With only a grunt of effort, Guy quickly regains his balance from the shove and brings an arm up in front of his face. He's still hard-pressed to deflect the elbow and then the following palm strike out of the way with his forearm, but he manages it, afterward hopping slightly to the side. Bringing his arm down so that his forearm is horizantal, Guy then lunges forward ever so slightly and then snaps his fist upward, looking to strike Rock solidly in the face.
COMBATSYS: Rock interrupts Medium Punch from Guy with Rising Tackle EX.

[OOC] Guy says, "Gasp!"
Rock hits the ground, planting both palms against the floor of the rooftop as Guy comes ricocheting towards him. Guy's techniques are slow -- steady, and careful. Rock, on the other hand? Rock is already going all out, one hundred and ten percent. Guy's coming forth with an uppercut, but Rock can one-up him. Or, at least, one down him by hitting the ground even before he comes forth, and then hurling himself straight up into the air to drive his legs into Guy's face even as his opponent slams into him as well. Rock is forced back and away from Guy, hitting the ground on his legs and taking two steps backwards, on his feet but feeling the fatigue of the battle already; a poor sign, what with his opponent taking the slow and steady path to victory.
Poor sign though it may be, Guy is still take more of a beating than Rock is, and that may be all the results anybody needs. Sent flying upward by the impact, Guy regains some control of himself in midair, enough to roll right back in toward Rock when he hits the ground. Make no mistake, that hurt. It's just a sign that the ninja has to be more careful against Rock - don't do anything stupid, but don't let up for a minute, either.
Coming up onto his feet directly in front of Rock, Guy hops ever so slightly, giving him that extra inch of distance, that extra ounce of power, and then drives his other foot straight out toward the bishounen's chest.
COMBATSYS: Rock dodges Guy's Medium Kick.

Rock 0/-------/-----==|=====--\-------\0 Guy
Rock hits the ground on his back, planting both hands on the rooftop behind him as he slides underneath Guy's kick a second time. It's not much, but it sets the stage for Rock to plant one foot on Guy's... on Guy's nothing, actually, as Rock intentionally kicks straight up, instead doing a single backflip and landing on his feet, whipping his jacket off with a single whip and hurl his jacket right into Guy's face, aiming to blind him, at least for a moment. After that? Who knows what Rock's plans are.
COMBATSYS: Guy overcomes Thrown Object from Rock with Hibashira.

[OOC] Rock says, "Oh right. You have projectiles."
[OOC] Guy says, "I'm sorry I had to do that to your jacket, Rock."
Guy may have missed Rock this time, but he's still determined to follow through and keep the pressure on. Even as Rock backflips away, Guy is following, and when the jacket comes flying through the air, the ninja's reaction is quick. Instead of ducking to the side, or charging through it, or whatever, Guy lunges, palm upturned, and a ball of reddish chi comes blasting out, knocking the jacket out of the way before it continues on toward Rock.

[OOC] Guy says, "Snippity snap!"
The jacket, miraculously, is unharmed -- perhaps scorched a little at the edges, but altogether just thrown out of the way of the blast. It has properties of magical invulnerability.
Rock locks eyes on the coming destruction, splaying both hands to either side -- until his hands flare up with purple flame, hurling one blast straight ahead into the Hibashira, knocking it easily aside, and then driving his remaining Reppuken right back towards Guy, wasting no time or effort to keep his opponent on the defensive.
COMBATSYS: Guy dodges Rock's Double Reppuken EX.

Rock 0/-------/-----==|======-\-------\0 Guy
The double reppuken is a powerful attack, but damn is it easy to see coming. Half expecting such a reaction in the first place, Guy is already moving by the time the second, retaliatory wave is sent coursing back at him. Jumping upward, easily clearing it, Guy lands in front of Rock once again. If Guy were someone else, someone more prone to taunting, this would be an excellent time to do so: however, the ninja just throws out a quick kick at Rock's ankle. Simplicity is sweet.
COMBATSYS: Guy successfully hits Rock with Light Kick.

This time, Rock gets struck again. SUre enough, Guy is whittling away at his opponent slowly but surely, taking pieces out of him bit by bit by bit. Rock finally takes a pause, clenching his fists and taking two steps away, as though seeking to re-center himself in this fight -- this fight that, so far, seems more and more an uphill battle.
COMBATSYS: Rock focuses on his next action.

Rock 0/-------/---====|======-\-------\0 Guy
In quick response, Guy takes two steps backward as well. However, instead of finding his center, concentrating on the fight, and all of that, Guy just reaches into his vest, pulling out several small throwing knives. Oh, those wacky ninja. Quickly throwing several of them at Rock, Guy adds to this with something fairly...unorthodox. First with one foot, then the other, Guy adds his sneakers to this barrage of things being thrown at Rock.
COMBATSYS: Guy successfully hits Rock with Large Thrown Object.
[ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > ///////////////////// ]
Rock 1/-------/=======|=======\-------\0 Guy
This fight is going downhill, and it's going that way fast. Rock is struck by the knives, blades burying themselves in all sectors of his clothing and chest. Now without a jacket, Rock's blood flows more or less freely. He's got to turn this around fast, or his hopes for victory, and his spot at #1? They're all but over. Rock, for his part... isn't going to give up so easily. Rock runs through the blitzkrieg of oncoming blows, sending himself charging Guy as fast as he can, intend on delivering something plain and simple, just like Guy is: A tackle.
COMBATSYS: Guy interrupts Random Weapon from Rock with Bushin Gourai Kyaku EX.
[ \\\\\\\\ < > ////////////////// ]
Rock 1/---====/=======|==-----\-------\0 Guy
If Rock is looking for a turn around, he'll have to be faster than that. Much faster. As Rock comes rushing in for his tackle, Guy stands his ground, preparing and gathering himself. Right as Rock plows into him, the ninja rams his foot almost directly upward, to knock Rock back. The following blur of kicks should teach Rock a very valuable lesson - even without his sneakers on, Guy kicks hard. Flipping away after one such kick, Guy turns his back and then launches himself right back at Rock, looking to send the young Howard flying backward from the force of the impact.
Now it's time to go all out -- it's basically now, or never, and in the absence of taunts and jeers, Rock sends himself sailing at Guy, pounding his hands into the ground of the rooftop to roar with power and energy, his body blazing with chi as he fills the air his blue wisps of energy, wrapping around and around his person as he does everything he can to bring Guy down to where he is. "Raging.... STOOOOOOOORM!"
COMBATSYS: Rock successfully hits Guy with Raging Storm'.
[ \\\\\\\ < > ////////// ]
Rock 0/-------/----===|======-\-------\0 Guy
Simply put? Ouch. Rock certainly does a good job of it, as the chi contacts Guy. Trying to weather this storm seems like a bad idea, a task that Guy can't manage in the state that he's in. It breaks through his defenses and ravages him, blasting him back to land in a heap. Blood now freely running out of the corner of Guy's mouth, the ninja licks his lips briefly and then stands his ground for the moment. It's been his policy to charge Rock, keep him on the defensive, but now...that will have to take a back seat to trying to figure out just what to do now.
COMBATSYS: Guy focuses on his next action.

"Huff... huff... huff..." Rock, too, is bleeding -- from his mouth as well as his multiple stab wounds -- as he takes two hopes away from Guy and return to his combat stance. Knives protrude from multiple parts of his body. But he's still standing. Fixing his red eyes right onto his opponent, Rock squeezes his fists, every muscle tensed to act. And then something breaks the silence -- something minor. A gust of wind blows his jacket towards him, and Rock snatches one hand out to grab it and throw it over his shoulders, pulling it right back before stepping back into his stance. Okay. Now he's ready.
COMBATSYS: Rock focuses on his next action.

Rock 0/-------/----===|======-\-------\0 Guy
Tragically, there is no gust of wind strong enough to bring Guy's sneakers back to him. Somehow, he'll just have to do without. Starting to walk forward toward Rock, carefully, making sure not to do anything too rash too soon, Guy cocks his head slighty, studying his opponent, trying to come to a decision. It seems he reaches it, as he proceeds to rush in, ducking down and spinning, before pushing off with his back leg, driving his shoulder forward toward Rock. Guy continues this by bringing the rest of his arm around, driving the back of his fist in toward Rock's midsection.

Guy 0/-------/=======|
Rock and Guy meet with one collision -- not of power, but of timing and speed. And when timing and speed are the contest of the moment...
There's no overcoming the skill of a ninja.
Rock is struck in the mid-section, sailing backwards and dangerously towards the ledge of the skyscraper, his boots planting themselves on the very ledge to stop himself. He's exhausted, battered, and beaten. "Gah--" he sputters, loosing a mouthful of blood as referees call the match over; too much danger to the health of the fighter's involved. But slowly, Rock begins to lose consciousness from his injuries, far closer to the edge than the fight planners had predicted. "I--" And so Rock begins to fall backwards from sheer lack of strength in his legs, tilting back over the ledge and teetering over a dangerously distant cityscape.
[OOC] Rock says, "What's your health at, by the way? Just for my edification."
[OOC] Guy says, "17%."
[OOC] Rock says, "Alright, I feel better. Nothing I could have done would have saved me."
[OOC] Rock says, "Beaten by globals. Man."
[OOC] Guy says, "Hey, man. Don't diss my globals."
[OOC] Rock says, "I'm dissing myself and how I kinda..."
[OOC] Rock says, "Half-assed this one in posing."
[OOC] Guy says, "Light kick is only 2 slower than my fastest special, after all."
[OOC] Guy says, "Eh, don't worry about it. My own poses weren't exactly works of art, either."
As beaten and hurt as Guy might be, he's still got plenty of energy left in him. He's tired, sure, a bit groggy from his injuries, but the ninja's been far more exhausted than he is now at the end of other fights, some of which weren't at all as favorable for him. Regardless of this, when Rock starts to tip, Guy is moving forward, making a grab at the other man's collar. One person falling off of this building to their horrible doom way back when was enough, and Rock is a better person than Belger ever was by leagues. The kid doesn't deserve an end like that, especially at Guy's hands, especially after a close, hardfought fight like this.
"Don't talk." Whether Guy is saying this out of a desire for Rock to save his strength, or a desire for Rock not to ruin things now by trying to get verbose, who can say?
Rock gets himself caught -- which is good, because he clearly was trying to do what he could not to fall, including one of those frantic arm-flapping gestures that probably has something to do with balance but looks more like the performer is trying to take off and fly. Regardless, he's safe, and, though unstable, is at the very least standing enough to stagger back and away from the ledge, turning to face Guy. There's no talking -- only an extended fist, held straight out for Guy. The translation, more or less? "Good fight. Now it's your turn."
That's more like it. With Rock not in immediate danger of practicing skydiving in the style passed down through his family, Guy has a moment to to look back at Rock, studying the face. And then he extends his own fist, lightly punching Rock's, and holding it there for just a moment. His translation? "Good fight. Keep it up."
Letting his hand fall, Guy turns away, heading back to the stairwell. Everything that needed to be done here, everything that needed to be said, not to mention everything that needed to not be said, is completed. There's nothing left, and so Guy is free to begin his trek right back down the stairs.
[OOC] Rock says, "Cool. Get the @mail to Warhawk?"
[OOC] Guy will, indeed, do that.
