Description: Chibi Kelvin vs. Little Shinobu! Who will win? Who will nap? And how does a mysterious magical cave play into it all?! (Winner: Shinobu)
After the battle with the mysterious wig-bearing fighter, little Shinobu-chan walks away from the battlefield. Cue a sepia-toned flashback!
"HADOOOOUKEN!!!!!" And off it goes, flames orbitting its mass as it hurtles straight into the servbot currently flying end over end in at him, the scorching surge fist absolutely obliterating the little Kobun into its requisite, poseable joint sections, which go all melty as they sail outwards in all directions.
"KOBUUUUUUN! Nooooooo!!!", Shinobu-chan cries, her lines going sketchy and her shading going pastel-toned before everything goes white.
"Ultimate technique!" Shinobu shouts, and then the Martian hops up shoulders. "GALACTIC PUNCH!", she shouts, throwing out a simple punch as the Martian pipipis, waving little flags.
A vein bulges on Shinobu's forehead, and suddenly the Martian is spinning around, pipipipiping helplessly before she flings him into the sunset. Then, she puts her foot triumphantly on Ryu. "HO-SHAH!"
And now: Shinobu-chan #-32!
Little Shinobu claps her hands in front of the tiny grave that marks the final resting place of the Kobun. She prays for a moment. "Rest in peace..." Then, she rises. Today, she's got 'little' appended to her normal title of 'girl', but that doesn't make her any less of a fighter! She makes a fist. "I'll keep on fighting... for you!"
Meanwhile, a Kobun can be seen up in heaven, brandishing a wrench to try and bean Shinobu with... with Athena holding him back desperately.
And so, Shinobu begins her dramatic march across the grassy field, along with dramatic music! And gathering stormclouds!
Elsewhere in the world, Kelvin finally managed to find a sympathetic scientist that would be able to shrink him down. The secret to countering the effects of the radioactive alloy, it seemed, was to use a counter-radioactive alloy! It seemed so simple, as the mad doctor saw Kelvin off after giving him a sample. However, not unlike the Wonderland scenario, the Drink Me/Eat Me ratio wasn't quite easy to measure. And now, it's left Kelvin shrunk to chibi-size, since he overdosed while taking a nap. Of course, this doesn't bother him as badly, though it is threatening to get annoying from not being able to reach all the things he can as 'Normal' Kelvin. For now, he's wandering across that same grassy field, pausing to glance up towards the sky, "...hmm..rain?"
Shinobu comes to a stop as she looks to Kelvin, and the wind whips the grass up. "Eh? Have you seen a martian around here?", she says, bringing her hand to her brow and looking around. Then, her hat flies off, and she blinks, chasing after it. "Ahhhh!", she cries out, fleeing after it suddenly across the grass and towards Kelvin! How very random!
Kelvin's already mostly-closed eyes poik twice, indicating that he just blinked, as he glances back at a fellow small-sized person. "Huh, who are you," he wonders? It couldn't be someone out to apprehend him for messing up Southtown Bay and Geese Tower, could it!? ...no, it doesn't seem to be so. As the hat flies around, he jumps up to try and get at it, "Oh no." ...but the scale of his jumping just doesn't seem to be adequate, "It's..getting away.." He doesn't notice Shinobu rushing right towards him, with his concentration on the hat.

Focused on the hat, Shinobu just keeps on charging towards Kelvin. "Ah, ah!", she calls out, going after the hat heedlessly, looking to the sky rather than towards the young 'boy'. Meanwhile, the wind continues to whip the grass about - and her hair - as her foot lifts high with a panicked step, and we go into slow-motion, pan the camera around, do a triple take, etc., as Shinobu comes in for a crash landing! So to speak, anyway.

While Kelvin is in mid-jump, as the hat soars away, he finally sighs.. ..guess there's no helping it. Of course, the hat's owner isn't giving up so easily, and she's on a collission course. ..he senses something coming up behind him, and his eyes flicker wide open for just a moment, as he half-turns his head. He tries to duck forward, but by then it's too late..and in fact, it probably makes it worse. Tumbling does he go across the unforgiving Earth, and he's now covered in cross-bandages and cross-hatches. "Ow, ow," he utters. Shinobu better be careful, or she's going to get sent rolling along for the ride, too!

Getting nailed with the attack, Shinobu tumbles forward after. As she does so, it's time for another flashback... why was the hat so important to her?
"I'm gonna be the King of Fighters!", Shinobu declares.
"You're gonna be better than us, huh? Well, then... do me a favor... keep this hat safe for me!", Shingo declares, planting the hat on Shinobu's head.
And then the flashback is unexpectedly broken as Shinobu's suddenly grabbed by a mysterious young boy! Well, another young boy, anyway! "That's my flashback, and-" Shinobu blinks, and says, "You! Ahhhhh!", and then lets loose with a punch in every direction, just swinging away haphazardly! Yes, at Kelvin too. L****, the other young boy, is quickly blown away!

"..augh, I'm sorry, it was..on reflex," the shrunken Kelvin explains, as he finally rolls to a stop at the base of a hill in the meadow. "Can't we just go look fo--" As he's about to speak further, suddenly this girl does her own variant of the thousand-hand slap. Once again, on Reflex, Kelvin raises his two vaguely ball-like hands before him, and though he manages to absorb the shock of the blows well, it still sends him sliding back a short distance. 'This small, cartoony body is durable. That's the only good point,' he surmises. 'I have to test its properties.' "Sorry," he utters again.. "But uhm.. ..anyone who makes a scratch on my body..cannot be allowed to live.." He doesn't sound very confident saying so, perhaps it's something he read or heard somewhere? Taking another half-step backwards, he suddenly glides forward with a far more focussed punch, towards his fellow chibi's abdomen, "..hnnh!" Wow, those big-hands look vaguely dangerous, this way!

Shinobu comes to her feet, raises her arms in a block. She slides back with the force of the attack, breaking some grass and causing it to fly into the air! Shen then points. "You're going to have to beat me at Puyo Pop to go any further!" Noticing her hat flying away on the storm-borne winds, she quickly weeps. "My hat...", before quickly shimmying away her sadness. Cupping her hands, she makes one of her blue chi bubbles... with the little puyo face! And then, she flings it at Kelvin! "Wicked!", she chirps, as the little explosive projectile o' flies onward with terror on its face!

It wasn't quite what Kelvin had planned.. ..but..this, too, is part of testing this small body's properties. His eyes narrow for just a moment, seeming more a sign of chibi concentration than anything else. "So, that's how it is... ..huh?" His eyes once again just barely open, in time to see some kind of..weird projectile screaming towards him; figuratively and literally. "Uh oh." He gets hit fairly head-on, and once again finds himself rolling hilariously across the ground, landing slightly charred and smoldering in a convenient bare patch of ground. "..hah," he exhales, pushing himself back up onto his feet, and fighting the urge to take a nap on the inviting ground. From here, he takes a big-footed step forward, then once again is slicing through the air, aiming to catch Little Shinobu in a flying tackle, then to ride it through to the ground.

Getting knocked over, Shinobu blinks. "That isn't how you play at all!", she whines, but then stumbles back and away, getting up. "But if that's the way you want it..." She picks up a rock with both hands, straining to pick it up, and then she wings it forward. "Take this!" The rock then... immediately drops. Drops towards Kelvin's foot, that is!

Meanwhile, Kelvin is muttering silent apologies. He really wishes he didn't have to, but this might be his only chance. While he's contemplating this, and looking inward, he once again opens his eyes to the world..to see this crazy girl trying something wacky. "...!?" He suddenly reaches his ball-fisted noodlearms up to catch the incoming boulder.. ..and for a moment, it almost seems like he's done it. "..." Beads of sweat roll down his forehead, and his eyes bug out for a moment. Then in an instant, the boulder snaps closed over top of him. No telling whether he's flattened under there, or what.
Stepping back, Shinobu beams. "That's how you win at a puzzle fight!", she declares, beaming. She pumps her arm, beaming. "No problem at all!" She then walks past, emboldened by her victory. "Man, where did that martian fly to, anyway?" Yes, past continuity, folks! This is a series, after all... though perhaps a rather short one!

He can't be defeated, just yet..! He still has lots of other things to try. While Shinobu is wandering around, looking for the martian, and perhaps her hat, Kelvin is currently burrowing under the ground with a pick-ax and mining cart. Where the heck did those come from, anyway? The tunnel slowly approaches where he predicts Shinobu should be standing.. ..and he quickly pick-picks at the roof of his cave, to try and drop her down in with him! Sneaky!

Shinobu starts to fall, but graps ahold of the edge, straining to pull herself up. She pads a couple of feet away, and closes her eyes.
Another flashback:
Shingo-sensei looks to Shinobu-chan. "Do you want... mint or chocolate!"
Shinobu-chan replies, "Mint chocolate!"
Shingo puts his hand on his shoulder. "Now, I'm going to teach you something very important!"
"Ehhhh?!", Shinobu cries in surprise, and then jumps up and down.
"If somebody ever tries to counter your attacks, remember this!... it only works 50% of the time.", Shingo says.
"So what should I do, teacher?", asks the little girl.
"Huh? Fifty percent. That's all."
Then, back to real time. Shinobu slumps. "That's not useful at all..."

Perhaps sensing an opening, thanks to Shinobu having stumbled over the edge and having to take time to recover, Kelvin quickly drops his mining pick and his hard hat. Weird.. ..how'd he make this big cave chamber down here? Or maybe it was already there? Either way, he quickly leaps up out of the same pit trap he'd just hoped to snare Shinobu in, and with the element of surprise and her apparent distraction, he moves to quickly try and take hold of her arm, and begin swinging her `round and `round, like a merry-go-`round. Seems like fun..if one was actually inclined to take that route.

Shinobu swings around and around... looking dizzy... but as she does comes to a stop, she almost immediately retaliates as she continues to twiril! She throws out a punch, and then another, and then another... firing off punches in every direction like some kind of crazy punch blossom. "Horahorahorahorahorahorahora!", she cries, sending a thousand fists out!

Kelvin blinks, as Shinobu seems to be.. ..just riding along for the attack. There's no way he could catch even an unsuspecting person this unawares, so that can only mean, "...uh oh." His worst fears are confirmed as he finally releases, once she starts throwing punches. But by then, it's too late, and he's caught in a hurricane of vicious strikes, which when they finally abate, send him rolling along the ground, this time noticably bruised up. He spits out some teeth, but thankfully..chibi damage heals relatively quickly; by the time the next take is filmed, they'll already have grown back in. "Most impressive, but I am not finished yet," he pants, catching his breath. He's once again on the move, sprinting forward.. ..and past Shinobu, it seems, for a moment. Until he makes a grab at her wrist, and seems to intend to drop her with the full force of his gathered momentum! 'I wanna sleep,' mutters the body. 'Just a while longer,' Kelvin pleads!

"Get ready!", she declares, and then grabs ahold of the rock again... lifting it over her head as she teeters back and forth... before finally falling forward! As the rock starts to roll, carrying her up with it, she springs to her feet, running forward atop the rock toward Kelvin. "Final terra assault!", she declares, as if she meant to do what she's doing all along!

Gathering his wits is hard to do, considering there's tiny street fighters with angel wings and halos buzzing around his head. But, by someone out there mashing the buttons, he manages to recover in time to see Shinobu quite clearly rolling towards him.. ..on top of a giant rock. In an odd moment of recognition, he ponders, "..katamari?" He isn't even sure what that is! He just knows he has to do something about it. In an odd moment of insight, he suddenly leaps up.. ..and lands on top of the rock, squiggly-feeting along with Shinobu for a few moments, before finally whipping out a chibi-mallet, and aiming to thwack her with it. "Sorry," he once again utters, but seems the body is cooperating for once!

Shinobu gets whacked, stumbling back, but quickly reverses her motion with a shake of her head as she creates another Puyo. "To get my hat... and to find the mars person... I must defeat you!", she says, giving Kelvin a solid look of determination. And with that, she flings the puyo underhand, which squeeks as it heads to burst with Shinobu's power of watery chi! A veritable wave o' puyoness returns!

This time, Kelvin is prepared for it. Continuing to roll along for a good few more moments, he finally manages to bring the 'katamari' to a stop, with a pause to wipe some sweat from his forehead with his noodle-arm. Dismounting the rock, he watches the projectile once again rocketing towards him, bringing up a ball-hand to meet it. The chi energy imbued within still splashes out and around him, but the impact was greatly diminished by his sheer force of chibi personality! "Okay, let's finish it," he suggests! Once more, he wills the small frame into motion, this time aiming to catch Shinobu by the wrist, and throw her into the ground..if he hits once, he'll even try it twice. He can't afford to give in to his thoughts of calling it off now! Must push the envelope!

"Right!", Shinobu calls out as she weaves back from the the grab, and the bobs forward to try and counter-grab Kelvin. While Kelvin may be durable, Shinobu-chan has star power! She even has an opening sequence!... well, okay, not yet, but she's working on that. Reaching out for his wrist in turn, she tries to yank him forward in the interest of dealing a final blow! WITH EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!

As Shinobu yanks Kelvin forward, she then flies forward, connecting with an flying, spinning headbutt!... before then stumbling back, a little dazed. But another trademark shimmy, and she seems to be good to go!
A final blow, it's not.. ..at least, not yet. It might be more appropriately called a sub-final blow. But it's no less devestating to Kelvin's already heavily expended, if chibi, body. He suddenly feels something going wrong, as Shinobu suddenly takes hold of him, and starts to swing him around. Once he's in the air, he feels the devestating (and ticklish) spinning headbutt propelling him even further.. ..and finally he crashes to the ground, taking just a few more moments to pick himself up. 'Nap, now!' 'Not while I can still..move..!' Little Shinobu has been quite an admirable opponent, and Chibi Kelvin feels lucky to even be able to move back up to a standing position now.. ..as wobbly and watery as his legs look now. He's covered in little bandages, cross-hatches, and his clothes have scorch marks. But it seems..he can still fight on..! "..ha, ha," he exhales..trying to prepare himself.
"Now do you understand... the power of fifty percent... and exclamation points?!!!", Shinobu exclaims, shaking a shaky fist at him! Taking a step back, she creates another bubble, focusing on it intently. With a flurry of her fingers and twists of the wrist, she forms the bubble into... a balloon animal! Well, a bubble animal, anyway. A bubble dragon, to be precise. "You must defeat... um... sheng long to stand a chance!", and then punches the animal towards Kelvin. It flies in an unsteady fashion, taking on all the fear and majesty of the dragon! Well, a very small and clumsy dragon, anyway.

The body.. ..it's just too tired and sluggishly moving now to make up for it. Chibi Kelvin does make a token effort to move out of the way, but instead, the body doesn't cooperate. The explosive force shreds and blackens his clothing all the more, and he seems to be lapsing in and out of consciousness, denoted by the small fighters once again swimming around his head. "..guess I went too far, but..thank you," he says, finally managing a smile. He stumbles forward for a few moments, and then begins to trip over a rock, which threatens to send his half-unconscious body stumbling into Shinobu!

Shinobu watches Kelvin come woards her, and she suddenly then... flees. "Ahhh! It's horrible!", she says, as if thinking he's a zombie, but then lets out a breath as she falls over. "Well... um... you fought well.", she bows. Then, a wrench hits her head, and she blinks, looking dazed before staring up at the sky.
