KOF 2005 - [R2] Metro vs Terry

Description: Team Metro takes on Terry Bogard, with a scale model of London as the backdrop -- and occasional arsenal of improvised weaponry. (Winners: Team Metro)

Another week, another KoF fight for Team Metro. And, given the joy Haggar takes in showing off, another completely wild arena that was probably Hell to arrange! Today, they are Somewhere In Great Britain. Where /exactly/ is unimportant, just so long as you know that, constructed at this site, is a scale model of the major section of London. Most everything is about as tall as your average man (and therefore just a bit shorter than Haggar), with a few more outstanding buildings here and there, and of course, the Big Ben.
Haggar, meanwhile, is looking to be the first up for his team, making sure his boots and gloves are tight before doing a quick series of stretches.

Makoto is here.

No, seriously. You probably just didn't see her because of Haggar in the way. He's a lot bigger. She's doing almost identical stretches behind him; she has neither gloves nor boots, which only prove her superiority and also give her one less thing to do. "Go get him, Mayor!"

Naturally, Guy is here as well. Currently spectating from a standing position on the top of Not-So-Big Ben, he's simply waiting for the match to get underway, any words of encouragement to Haggar having been given well before this point in time. He doesn't quite feel like cheering yet, choosing instead to look vaguely menacing at Terry. Well, it might work. You never know.

How can Terry be menaced?
Remember, folks-- lives for the fight, yadda yadda, as nauseum. He was -made- for confrontations like this, even if... at the immediate moment, he's busying himself by nudging a small, foot-tall cafe` with his foot, his expression showing a wry fit of amusement as a direct result. Pausing in this... endeavor, the LoneWolf eventually looks up towards his opponents, adjusting his cap before rolling his shoulders in an attempt to loosen them up.
"Hope you guys don't plan on goin' easy on me," he warns them, just as he did with United-- perhaps down to the same verbage! "'Cause I sure as hell m'not gonna be goin' easy on th'lot'a -you-." Standing at his full height, his defensive posture neglected for the time being, there's a noticable uprising of energy along his feet, the faint luminescent glow of firelike energy making it rather obvious that he's collecting himself for the upcoming onslought.
"Bring it, big guy," he says to Haggar, motioning for his first opponent to make his move.

COMBATSYS: Terry gathers his will.

Ryu has arrived.

Mike Haggar grins, crouching down with one fist against the 'road.' "Trust me, son, I wasn't planning to." This is going to be a good one, Haggar can feel it. He launches forward, leaping at Terry once he's covered about half the distance. As he approaches, he jams both arms out rigidly to either side, landing right in front of the Wolf and spinning. "Hyeagh!"

COMBATSYS: Terry blocks Haggar's Spinning Clothesline.

Son?
The hell is up w-OOF.
Even through the raise of his arms, Terry's forced to take a couple steps back the second that the big man starts twirling around like a gigantic ballerina, which, of course, causes his foot to come down somewhat dramatically on top of the cafe' he was originally so amused by. Grunting lightly, he can't help the chuckle that comes from him, if only thanks to the ridiculous nature of their surroundings.
Time to spot a nearby 'skyscraper,' wot?
"Good to hear," the blonde replies in the same conversational tone, either of his arms breaking apart swiftly to shove the large man back, a slight distance needed for the sudden launch off of the ground, his entirity wheeled around in a mid-air somersault, one leg extended to crack it down against his opponent's skull-- without the resounding shout that inevitably comes before the manuever. Just an all-too-typical shout of indecipherable vowels. A vowel movement! How chiq. o/'

Mike Haggar has never been good at recovering from that one. Terry's push causes him to stagger to the side, and he has to put his hand on what looks like an office building to steady himself. The building cracks. Then, before he can even really react further, Terry kicks him in his head.
So much for that building.
"Nnfgh... damn..." Haggar lies in the wreckage of the building for a moment, shaking his head to clear out the fog and stars - and then, opportunity! Haggar balls up his fists and once again thrusts them to his left and right, levering himself up to his feet with a tearing of metal and other things that these buildings are made of. Then he brings his fists back together toward Terry's head. They have buildings attached (one of which is a fish and chips stop).

COMBATSYS: Terry dodges Haggar's Random Weapon.

Too bad those weren't thrown. He could've picked up a lamp post and started in with some batting practice.
Nevermind that they're probably made out of aluminum.
Skirting to the side with a semi-surprised "Woah!", Terry manages to get out of the way of the debris, his foot coming down against yet another building in the interim. With all this debris, it's gonna be difficult to manuever after a while, but hey-- makes it more entertaining.
Time to return the favor, however.
Reaching down to take a firm hold of one of the buildings -himself-, he goes in for a different strike, saying an amused, "Think you're on to somethin', there!" before hurling the small structure in Haggar's direction, hoping to bean him in the dead center of his chest. "Wish I'd thought'a that th'moment this started!"

Makoto, quite a ways off to the side, watches with great interest as the two stomp around in the miniature city and start to make quite a mess in there. Cupping her hands around her mouth, she bellows, "RUN! GOJIRA!"

Even fighters need a sense of humour, apparently.

The building-boxing gloves shatter unceremoniously as Haggar's hands come together, leaving his hands covered with a fine plaster dust. He promptly drops a bit, crossing his arms to take the building on a meaty part. He takes a step back, and then another, though it's much more controlled. "Hm..." The wrestler presses forward again, his foot striking a few lampposts and sending them flying. He reaches for Terry, trying to grab his head, trip him up a bit, and fall back so that Terry's face hits the ground.

There are a few interesting ways of getting out of this. Even as Terry's face is grabbed, he returns the favor by practically clinging to Haggar, determined to at least take the larger man down with him. Notably, if he seizes hold and changes the trajectory, there's still a little bit of pain that comes from it-- just not nearly as much as it could be. Nevermind that this could be a photo opportunity. Two large, burly men rolling around in a mock-up of London? You can almost see the flashing lights now!
Hit or miss, the Lone Wolf gets back to his feet, observing the debris with more than mild amusement. "Aw, man," he says, nudging one of the tiny signs, "I think I bitched up a brewery."

COMBATSYS: Haggar fails to counter Medium Throw from Terry with Hammer Thru.

Mike Haggar makes some kind of motion to do something about the altered trajectory, but he fails miserably, as is evidenced by the breath rushing out of his lungs when he hits. And the groan.

All for naught, in this case.
At least Terry managed to weasel his way out of it to some degree.
He's not necessarily feeling the burn he did with United Schools, but that could change at any given moment. For the here and now, he's interested in having a good fight, not necessarily a quick one. That in mind... "C'mon, man!" he says to Haggar, still clearly in good spirits-- to the point where the upcoming taunt is meant with the least condescending air possible. "I -know- you can do better'n that!"
That said, he waits for the guy to get back up onto his feet before striking out with two swift kicks to the guy's torso, intent on sending him back into Big Ben-- and potentially Guy, if he's not quick enough to get the hell off of his perch.

Makoto still has her hands cupped around her mouth. "THAT'S NOT WHAT GOJIRA WOULD DO! C'mon, kick a building at him! Please?"

COMBATSYS: Haggar counters Fire Kick from Terry with Power Swing.

Mike Haggar posts to his feet, scowling - not at Terry, but at himself. He's not doing so hot... he needs an opening... there! A surge of adrenaline surges through him as Terry snaps a kick out at him, and he swings his right arm across to grab him by the ankle. "You know, you're right. I can." He turns, and /pulls,/ swinging Terry through a line of buildings before doing another quick hopping turn, releasing Terry away from the Big Ben. "And I think it's a good time to start!"

Guy is happily perched where he is, thankyouverymuch.

The 'Oh Shit' expression never changes over the generations.
Alright, so, Terry's eyes do, indeed, go wide as his ankle is taken hold of and he's less-than-gracefully swung into a long series of buildings, each impact causing faaar more pain than he'd like to admit before he comes rolling to a dead stop. Stumbling to his feet, he takes off his cap to shake out some of the debris, blinking a good couple times.
"Hot damn," he says, grinning over towards Haggar as he puts the cap back on. "That's definately more like it."
Remaining where he is, he drops low to smack the crap out of one of the buildings with his fist, an eruption of bright, firelike energy erupting from it and racing towards Haggar in the oft-reference landshark fashion that it usually does, the preceeding shout of "POWER WAVE!" sans the ludicrous amount of exclimation sending it towards the behemoth with suprising speed. Should it land, well. Everyone knows how it goes. The usual eruption slapping against the guy's shins and blossoming into a brief explosion of Light and Color. Ooo.

COMBATSYS: Haggar slows Power Wave from Terry with Thrown Object.

Mike Haggar reaches to the side, grabbing a nearby building and spiking it down at the Power Wave, scowling. Just because these young kids all have this fancy chi these days doesn't mean they have to go throwing it about! The bookstore is devoured by the chi, but not before it kinda slows it maybe a little, probably resulting in less damage when it explodes at Haggar's feet, causing him to do a flip and sail backwards into a ten-foot tall skyscraper. There's a tremendous crack, and the skyscraper topples into a few other buildings, resulting in a spectacular wreckage.

Score!
If anything, that made for a pretty good visual. By now, London is in shambles. The mini-people have alerted the police to NO AVAIL. Their spirits will rest forever in the metaphysical cosmos that is their--
Nevermind.
Too bad the people who made this mock-up didn't think to add little mini helicopters circling around. Could've made for fun projectiles in and of themselves. Grinning facetiously at the damage that's incurred, Terry darts back in for another quick assault, waiting for Haggar to get back on his feet before barrelling into him with his shoulder, intent on knocking him through one of the few remaining skyscrapers behind him, the quick motion only made less swift by the debris that's collected underfoot. The terrain isn't making it easy to be Quick'n'Fancy.

COMBATSYS: Haggar fails to counter Power Charge from Terry with Power Swing.

Mike Haggar tries to swing his hand over and into the onrushing Terry once again, but he misjudged just slightly. In attempting to seize Terry just one second before he was seizable, he ends up getting tackled in the bicep, and is once again sent tumbling through office buildings, apartments, and smaller dwellings. He comes to a rough stop, coughing, cuts here and there from all the house dripping blood slowly. "Nngh... what a time to hit a slump..."

"It happens," Terry replies with a loose shrug of his shoulders. "Been havin' a run'a bad luck myself, 'til now."
So in a way, it stands to reason.
In the meantime, the Lone Wolf means to put an end to this. With their proximity still relatively close in nature, it makes the next manuever fairly simple. With a quick, "Sorry I gotta do this, buddy," he slams his fist back down against the ground, a circle of fire racing around the hulking brute before exploding upwards in a dome-like... uh, dome of... yeah. More of that flashy chi stuff. There's only a grunt of exertion that comes before it, the Lone Wolf apparently unwilling to break out the Big Guns in spite of the warning that he's not intending on going light on the Metro team.

COMBATSYS: Terry successfully hits Haggar with Round Wave.

The explosion sends Haggar up into the air, gracefully flipping backwards to land ungracefully on top of yet one more skyscraper. It cracks under his weight, but doesn't quite break. At least, not until Haggar gets his last charge of SUPER PISSED, somehow launching himself back up into the air, knitting his fists together. There's a flash of blue light, and he streaks through the air, heading straight for Terry, roaring his desperation to do as much as he can before having to go down. Hit or miss, when he lands he'll create a good crater in the ground, and send debris flying in a ring away from him.

COMBATSYS: Haggar can no longer fight.

Okay. All told, the elder Bogard feels a bit bad for sidestepping the attack so eloquently, a light grimace coming through his expression as he raises his arms against the oncoming debris. It's no skin off his back, really, but it's not necessarily a -great- feeling. Clearing his throat a little, he offers a heartfelt, "Good fight, regardless-- you're one helluva brawler."
Turning his attention towards Makoto and Guy, the Lone Wolf cants his head to the side, raising either of his hands to crack his knuckles, his smile reigniting at the prospect of another opponent with a happy-go-free, "Alright! Who's next?"

Shaking his head ruefully, Guy sits down at his spot atop the model clock, choosing to stand no longer. He's still not up to fight yet, although he's certainly somewhat worried for Makoto. He can only hope that she fares as well as the mayor did, or things might get ugly. Shutting his eyes, Guy starts to meditate, calming himself if, or maybe when, he ends up having to finish Terry.

Makoto is, apparently, next, because Guy is a totally huge slacker up on the model clock. She is, however, nowhere to be seen.

At least at first. A few seconds after Terry calls for a new challenger, a seven-foot 'skyscraper' a few feet away from him shudders with impact and, very slowly, begins to tip forward. As it does, Makoto is visible behind it, fist extended in her classic 'I just punched something really hard' pose and in a perfect battle stance. "Ha!"

Blink.
Nice, but the trajectory is such that it's easy to skirt around. Rolling to the side and over the rubble of what used to be downtown London-- or... something... his geographical skills were never the best-- he rights himself quickly, standing at his full height as he seems to collect himself one more time. There's no dashing array of energy this time around-- just a subtle reminder that he's calling up his defenses in the same fashion he did during the last fight.
"'Least you guys're creative," he offers, still grinning, his posture finally coming back to its usual stance.

COMBATSYS: Terry gathers his will.

Makoto actually returns the grin. At least, she's showing her teeth. "I try," she says, walking slowly sideways and forward - she's got her eyes on Terry, in case he tries something that she has to evade. He looks like he's waiting for something, and she's waiting for it to happen.

Makoto, however, has no patience, and as such she doesn't really wait long enough /for/ it to happen. She'd rather be attacking than standing around, and so she does; starting a dash at the other fighter, Makoto leaps into the air in a forward flip, extending her foot and leg as she comes around in her loop to smash off Terry's head and rocket her up again. If it doesn't work - well, she can usually /land/, at least.

Well, hell-- the crashing foot does its intended damage, at least. Not as much as it -could- -- but Terry can still feel his muscles buckle against the heavy slam of the young woman's foot against his arms, his back running up against one of the last remaining skyscrapers the little mock-up has to offer, his footing somewhat unstable beneath him. The moment she -lands-, though...
...she'll find her neck caught in the man's hand.
"You've got some serious power t'ya," he says, raising her up in the air and -immediately- throwing her right back to the ground, following it up with, "What'd they say your name was, again?"

Caught in a trick /she/ likes to use! Makoto makes a startled sound as Terry's hand closes around her throat; she says nothing as she's lifted up, although she tries to struggle free. Unfortunately, she doesn't quite manage to do so; her twisting around almost means she lands on her feet, but she doesn't quite manage it, landing heavily on her back instead.

Of course she doesn't stay /down/ long, either. Rolling to one side (and crushing another small building and what is probably supposed to be a hot dog cart) Makoto scrambles up to her feet, immediately in her defensive stance. "Makoto! I'm Makoto, Masaru's daughter, Rindoukan master!" Once she's sure she's got her feet under her, Makoto charges, thrusting her hand out as she approaches and transferring her entire body's momentum to her fingertips.

Despite the fact that Terry's ready for the attack that's levelled on him, his attempt to edge his way out of the blow causes him to come right up against it, the girl's motions entirely too quick for him to deflect without causing her attack to hit him square in the shoulder. Jerked to the side somewhat, the blow -hurts-... but not as bad as it could under other circumstances.
"I think I'll do better rememberin' just 'Makoto,'" he replies, his jovial attitude hardly sullied. Shifting to push himself off the ground towards her, he moves in for a combination of punches-- one straight to her gut, while the other comes around smack against her jaw. Nothing fancy, nothing major-- but enough to throw her off if she's not paying proper attention.

"I'll take that too," Makoto accepts. "Just so long as you remember it!" She rises from the somewhat lower position Hayate forces her to end in, arms brought up around her middle, ready to block or parry. When Terry's attack comes, her hands are in the /perfect/ position to parry the low hit, and she starts to do that - but the strike catches her in the jaw, snapping her head backwards and causing her to flub her low parry, too.

Stumbling back three or four steps, Makoto shakes her head to clear it, obviously fairly dazed from the solid strike; her lip is split, and she doesn't feel much like talking anymore. Ow ow ow. She starts to move backwards, toward Guy's position - just in case. On the way, she kicks some of the loose debris up at Terry, erratic chunks of stone and metal ranging from fist-sized to about thrice that; they should slow him down at least. She hopes.

Atop Big Ben, Guy stands up, evidently done meditating. Looking between Terry and Makoto for moment, he gives a quick nod to the latter, and hops off the miniature tower, away from the combatants, to go stand over...thereish, nicely out of the way, and stretch a bit in further preperation.

Not to say swatting aside the chunks of debris doesn't hurt to some degree. It -does-. But at least that particular obstacle is out of the way. While it staggers him enough to keep him at a distance, Terry isn't one to just let this go completely-- and thus, he has an answer to that. Same as he did with Haggar.
Hunkering down, there's another harsh *SMACK* against the ground as the racing spark of energy rushes towards Makoto, the earlier cry he gave left unheard in the interim, barring an obvious grunt as his own energy starts getting taxed by this fight.
The moment that's done, he's back on his feet, lapsing to the same silence that Makoto's favored in the mist of the bout. Where it goes from here is anyone's guess.

It's more that her jaw really hurts right now. Makoto normally talks, or at least /yells/. It's a good way to keep your breathing even in a fight. She keeps backing up, speeding up once she gets to a moderately clear area of space - and then making a backwards dive ending in a roll, somersaulting to a halt behind Not That Big Ben, the Power Wave barely clearing her heels.

Rising, keeping Biggish Ben between herself and Terry, Makoto takes a deep breath to focus herself, hands near her waist. One, two, three cleansing breaths - and then she delivers a flurry of punches in a horizontal line, putting a crack in Sort Of Big Ben around waist level on her.

And then she leaps, striking out with one mighty kick about seven feet up on the twenty-foot replica. The thing cracks, audibly - and then slowly starts to tip forward, accelerating rapidly once gravity starts to take over. Somewhere inside, bells ring.

Thankfully-- -VERY- thankfully-- Terry's able to roll clear of the falling mass, huffing out a breath the moment that he manages to get upright in a crouched position, his eyes immediately going towards Makoto with a look of obvious surprise. Not so much at her, but at what nearly fell on top of him. -That- kind of damage isn't the kind he's liable to take, though it came damn close to meeting its mark, judging by the strewn debris.
Girl's not pussyfooting around, that's for damn sure.
But neither is he.
Staying in a somewhat crouched position, he pushes himself off the ground to rush towards her, his arm erupting in a sudden flare-up of energy as he seeks to plow through her with his trademark move, the trajectory of it aiming it straight up against her sternum, since, really... hitting her in the face again wouldn't be very sportsmanlike. o/' At least not after a clean hit like that last punch.

Makoto spends a few moments breathing hard. That was difficult, even for her; she may hit hard, but it takes a lot out of her to do something like that. Fortunately, it takes Terry a few moments to move up to her, so it works out fairly well. Upon seeing him rush over toward her, she reflexively steps /forward/, into the energy punch - which hurts and causes her to gasp, but allows her to drive her own fingers into his solar plexus, using his momentum as well as her own against him.

The combination of both of them hitting at the same time is enough to not only sideblind Terry as to what just happened, but wind him on account of the oncoming momentum. Sure, it's not a devestating hit, but she managed to get him where it counts.
...Kind of. At least she didn't go for anything lower.
Grunting as he falls back a couple paces, the Lone Wolf takes a good look at the girl in front of him, chuckling softly to himself. "Nice one," he grants her, rubbing at the affected area loosely before saying, "Let's see how well you deal with this--"
--which is met with him hunkering down again, his fist slamming back against the ground between them as, underfoot, the debris that used to be Big Ben rumbles briefly before spewing out a gout of energy like molten lava. The pyre of heated luminescence is a scathing facsimile of fire, threatening to overtake her entirely as it surges up to its full height, the shouted "POWER GEYSER!" making it known as to what's happening.
As if anyone needed any verbal cues. Eesh.

COMBATSYS: Makoto fails to interrupt Power Geyser from Terry with Shimaki.

Makoto's first instinct is to go with what works. This means that if you hit them /really hard/, they're not going to be very good at hitting you - or in this case, making things explode. She follows him forward, both hands striking at his midsection in a pistoning, alternating pattern.

That was the plan, anyway. Said plan did /not/ involve being a second or so too late to punch Terry; said plan also did not involve the gout of energy literally launching Makoto upwards and backwards, perhaps fifty or sixty feet, to land with a horrible no good absolutely awful crunching sound in a formerly-intact skyscraper.

Headfirst.

Ouch.
Shaking out his hand a little, Terry offers a low, appreciative whistle at the airborn woman, eyebrows raised considerably. Well, uh... okay, uh... that wasn't the -point-, but hey, the airtime's at least impressive. The moment she lands, he offers her a weak grin, a light, "Sorry 'bout that," coming from him as he whipes off his brow, steadying himself for the next combatent. He's getting worn down, that much is clear-- the girl managed to land some seriously good hits to top off Haggar's own assault without too much issue.
Ergo... the exertion is beginning to show itself a bit more in his features. After this, he's gonna need some serious downtime with some equally serious beer.
Whatever 'serious beer' is.

COMBATSYS: Terry takes a breather.

So it's down to him. Well, he's been partly looking forward to this, and partly dreading it. Yeah, Guy's all too aware of the difference in skill level at this point between him and Terry. I mean, come on. The guy just went through Haggar and Makoto in a row, and he's still looking pretty good where Guy is. Clearly, it's time for a closer look.
Steeling himself, Guy begins to rapidly jump from intact building to intact building, coming in toward Terry. Finally, he launches himself almost directly at Terry's head. Almost being right above it, hands looking for a spot on the shoulders to grab so that Guy can whip Terry around, right into the ground.

Try as he might to get out of the way, Terry's latched onto rather easily, his entirity flung headlong towards the rubble underfoot, the harsh grunt that leaves him upon impact indicative of the damage taken. There wasn't much time to let himself get ready for the manuever, apparently-- though he's quick to get back on his feet, dusting off some of the rocks and dust that come from saying a happy 'hello' to the turf.
There's no time left for the other man to think, however-- as, just as quickly as he took a grab at Makoto, so, too, does he make an attempt to snag Guy by the scruff of his neck, wheeling around to throw him against some of the still-standing residential areas. Poof! There go the suburbs! ...He hopes.

Whoops! That's not supposed to happen. No time to even see how badly he hurt Terry, and Guy is crashing into those poor models. Well, they probably deserved it anyhow. He's still fresh, though, and he's determined to see this through. Quickly kicking back onto his feet without so much as a groan, Guy wastes no time in coming directly back at Terry, sprinting forward with everything he's got. The ground's a bit uneven at this point, so he decides to go up at the last minute, hopping into the air with a little spin. At the same time, he throws a leg out, sending directly at Terry's head in a big, flashy jumpkick.

Flashy jumpkick or no, Terry's able to bring the both of his arms up the moment that Guy wheels around to deliver the blow, the momentum used causing his upper body to lean back for a split second. Coming out of it... Guy's in a prime position to once again get manhandled. ...Or something. Without a word, he lashes out with two quick kicks that he'd similarly levelled on Haggar-- the ones that got him swung around like woah, really. Of course, there's a large building to run interference with Guy's momentum if he ends up getting caught by the attack in the first place.
Once again, there's an obvious show of the energy he's put into this fight with another low grunt heralding both of the quick blows, the vague spin not nearly as ... well ... finesse-oriented as it could be.

Once again, it seems, Guy attacks, and then Terry quickly attacks back. This time, however, Guy is a little bit more prepared for it. Barely on his feet after his own kick, Guy teeters when Terry's first one crashes into him. Somehow, he manages to stay on his feet, even going so far as to cling tightly to it with both hands, before turning about and chucking Terry over into some more tiny buildings. Even with that...ow. Guy grimly notes that as expected, Terry hits like a truck, and makes a quick note not to get hit again.

Whee!
*THUD*
Hissing a breath in through cleneched teeth, Terry's sure as hell feeling -that- turnabout-- not so much 'cause it was devestating, more along the lines of all the accrued damage finally beginning to catch up to him. Damn near everything hurts at this point, but it's nothing he hasn't dealt with before. If anything, it helps with increasing determination.
Getting back on his feet with a little more downtime than there should be, the Lone Wolf emits a low chuckle. "You guys really know how to throw down," he comments, though only realizes the idiot pun made before the resultant "No pun intended," comes immediately thereafter.
Not to say that Guy isn't subject to yet another fierce attack. He'd be an idiot not to at least -try- and get out of the way, considering that the way Terry closes the distance is indicative of the attack he'd originally used on Haggar. The mid-air somersault, coming alongside a swift extension of his leg which is-- you guessed it-- threatening to come down against Guy's dome with relentless force. Block or dodge, the blonde's landing is smoothe enough-- despite all the damage taken, there aren't any stumbles.

COMBATSYS: Terry successfully hits Guy with Crack Shoot.

Oh lord, but that stings, in more than one way. He tried to get out of the way, he really did. But damn if it didn't work out like that. Guy misjudges and ends up going straight into Terry's leg, getting driven down hard into the ground. So hard that he bounces a solid foot back up into the air with a very audible thump. Oh, he's going to feel that one for a while to come, that's for sure.
Still, Guy's been hit harder. Sometimes repeatedly. If he can't get up after this, he doesn't even deserve to be fighting in KoF at all. Slowly coming to his knees, Guy abruptly shoots a hand up toward Terry's head, his entire body moving into the effort to grant it speed. At the same time, large amounts of chi are almost visible, swirling about his extremities while he makes his move.

And holy crap it's sneaker ninja go-time. All of that chi in his arms and legs positively comes rushing out, temporarily boosting Guy's already impressive speed to levels of 'ohgod'. It's a flurry of punches and kicks, each accompanied by a corresponding dazzlingly bright blast of chi. Right at the end, Guy even manages to flip a large chunk of debris up with his foot and bring it smashing down onto Terry's head, using the strength and momentum behind it to backflip a short distance away. And then he's spent...hoo boy. That sort of thing really takes it out of you.

Oh, look! He brought his A-Game! Ho-OOF!
Between punches, blasts, kicks, and finally, that massive chunk of WOAH that gets smacked over his head, Terry's... well... dizzied is one way of putting it. Falling onto his back with a low groan that comes soon after, the Lone Wolf coughs, rolling onto his side as he... currently lacks the strength to get up to his feet with the usual kipup. For now? He simply stands, turning to look at Guy as he makes a nonchalant walk up towards the other man.
The question is one everyone knows well, preceeded as it is by a quick snatch at the front of Guy's shirt. And anyone who doesn't and had the brains to watch the last telecast knows what comes next. Can't disappoint the fans of SNKanglish, after all.
"Are you okay?"

What comes next is... actually, a surprise. Letting the other man go, Terry just smacks Guy across the back in the usual buddy-buddy kinda way, laughing lightly. "Just kidding," he says, grinning broadly. "You won this one fair'n sq...*"
Thud.
As graceless as it is, it serves a purpose. Well. Makes it obvious that the poor guy's up and passed out, anyway. He's not about to be so big a bastard as to lay waste to Guy after he's shown his competance with flying colors.

Guy braces himself for the inevitable, getting ready to duck or throw up his arms in a token defense. And then...huh. Terry gives him a hearty congragulatory slap on the back. It hurts anyway (I mean damn, are his hands made of bricks?), but Guy manages to get just the slightest hint of a smile onto his face afterward. Guy would shakes his hand, if he weren't passed out. Oh well. Turning away, Guy heads toward Haggar, who's hopefully recovered enough by now to walk, to make his exit.
