Description: Violent fighting to come again, instead of long-winded discourses. Geese could get used to this. (Winner: Geese)
White Arena
Though the inner arena is the smaller of the two, the White Arena is no
less impressive than its brother the Red Arena, meant more for smaller, more
traditional fights. Spectator seating ranges around the oval fighting arena,
stretching up to top box seats which are built into the ceiling, giving those
that want to pay extra a rare bird's-eye view of the fighting. The lower
seating doesn't suffer though, the architecture carefully designed so that no
seat is too far away. (If you've ever been in an IMAX theater, this is much
the same.)
The fighting arena itself is completely bare of any obstacles or marking,
the floor sanded wood to resemble a dojo and to give fighters proper
traction. As Ken Masters is quite familiar with the power many fighters can
exhibit, the arena is separated from the seating with glass coated to reduce
glare, affording the spectators an excellent yet safe view. At the far ends
of the arena, doors which look like part of the wall when closed allow the
fighters to enter.
Are you ready to rumble?
The fourth round. The semi-finals. A tournament with a world's invitation, and
now the best of those entrants have their fights to endure. Tonight's fight
promises to be especially heated...
Daigo Kazama. Gedo High Senior, gang boss, and man of honor.
Geese Howard. Corporate Presedent, and martial arts grand master.
The first fighter in this brawl, entering the arena as soon as all preperations
are made for the fight. Daigo, normally the type not to get nervous over
something as little as a fight, finds himself a bit more cautious than usual
going into this next round. He hadn't quite expected going up against someone
he knew, but he wasn't all that surprised either. Geese's skill is legendary.
But then, Chun-Li was the Deadliest Woman in the World, so maybe, just maybe,
Daigo stands a chance. He'll sure give it his best. After all, Daigo has
always wanted a match with Mr. Howard, just to see how he ranks against someone
rumored to be so powerful. Looks like now he gets his shot...
So Daigo enters, lit up by the spotlight that follows him, and walks to the
center of the Arena to await his opponent. Standing tall, arms folded over his
chest, silently giving the cheering crowd a gaze, and then focusing on the
entrance door. He's as ready as he'll ever be...
Geese makes his way in a few minutes late. Not so late that he'll get
disqualified, but he didn't entirely care about this match and it shows as he
steps into this plain, straight-forward arena. "Another boring match, I
imagine." He's only barely looking at Daigo, as if trying to keep him in-vision
while focusing on something more interesting. "Go ahead, spew your ridiculous
accusations like the other two...and let me know when you're done. Wait, cancel
that." His hands drop to his sides, palms outward in his own fighting stance,
"I'll tell you when you're done."

Accusations? Daigo has no accusations. He's here for a fight, not to brag or
boast. About the only thing Daigo takes more seriously than a fight, is his
family... The Gedo Boss raises an eyebrow at Geese's unique arrival, all the
more eager now to test his mettle. This crowd expects a fight. Daigo expects a
fight. But this..?
Daigo's eye narrows ever so slightly, his body shifting into his own compact
(for a big man) battle stance. Fists raised, body slightly hunkered, stance
spread. "...I was only going to say. Don't hold back..." Dai speaks, his tone
soft, and then...FIGHT! Was he taunted into striking first? Was that what
Geese wanted? The world may never know. Daigo might find out, though, as his
first attack is to hop-inch his way forward just enough to flex out his left
arm, and do his ever-favorite opener. A quick jab, to test Geese's reflexes...
COMBATSYS: Geese blocks Daigo's Jab Punch.

Geese 0/-------/-------|-------\-------\0 Daigo
Geese is surprised at Daigo's reply, and just stands there as the big man
advances. Then he flicks a forearm up to stop the fist. Strong as Daigo is,
that'll still hurt his arm a little, but he doesn't show it. "You have my
thanks...for shutting up and fighting. Reppuken!" The arm that didn't block,
swings upward. And right in front of it, a crescent-wave of blue chi rises from
the ground, slicing up close. This Reppuken variant doesn't travel very far,
instead just cutting the area right in front of Geese's arm. At the time he
begun the motion, Daigo was there...will that still be the case by the time the
slashing wave forms?
COMBATSYS: Daigo blocks Geese's Slash-style Reppuken.
[ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > //////////////////////////// ]
Geese 0/-------/------=|=------\-------\0 Daigo
That was what Daigo's right arm was for. His right is his better blocker, his
meaner puncher, and his best defense. The left jab was just there to see
whether or not he could actually surprise the other fighter. Rather than answer
the mention of thanks, Daigo merely grunts out an affirmation, and steps back to
change his stance...and block the oncoming rush of chi that washes over him.
That was an opening move, too, yet Daigo's body tingles with the power felt from
that slash.
As Daigo said not to hold back, so shall he drop any hint that he won't be doing
his best. The Reppuken ends, and Daigo steps forward again, intent on leaving
his mark on Geese while he has the chance. His next move planned already, the
Gedo punk steps up his pace with another left jab, only this time adding in an
uppercut-style right swing, to see if he can slip under Geese's left-arm
guard...
COMBATSYS: Geese dodges Daigo's 1-2 Smash.
[ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > /////////////////////////// ]
Geese 0/-------/------=|=------\-------\0 Daigo
Geese is facing a big man, a very muscular and powerful one. But Geese seems to
be able to keep pace just fine. He backs up from the jab, and makes a swinging
blocking motion to shove the uppercut out of the way harmlessly. To follow upon
his successful deflection, Geese reaches out to wrap a hand around Daigo's
throat. It might look odd, but he's strong enough to lift even Daigo one-handed
if he gets a solid grip. And he will indeed try to raise Daigo up, and then
smash him to the ground, head-first.
COMBATSYS: Daigo blocks Geese's Tate Katate Nage.

Geese 0/-------/-----==|==-----\-------\0 Daigo
That one's going to hurt...
Daigo's attack, deflected harmlessly, his own guard wide open for Geese to
return with a throat-grab. It does look odd, but really Geese isn't exactly a
little guy himself, so the oddness of the attack itself wouldn't be so bad. Now
the surprise on Daigo's face? That's priceless. He doesn't expect to be
lifted...but once he's in the air, those survival instincts kick in again, and
Dai, big body and all, manages to twist his body just enough mid-air to cushion
the blow from breaking his neck. The damage, spread out over his entire back
instead. Oh but does it hurt... If Daigo is to stand any chance, he's going to
have to do better than this.
Once on the ground, Daigo rolls to get back to his feet, shaking his head once
to clear the remaining fog given from his impact on Geese's behalf. "...You're
as good as the rumors say." Dai notes, and then keeps his left arm raised in
front of his face, circling Geese on the arena floor. Studying for some kind of
opening.
COMBATSYS: Daigo focuses on his next action.
"I'm BETTER than they say!", Geese retorts strongly. "But at least you're making
this interesting." He's impressed that Daigo broke free just before Geese
completed his technique. But the quasi-praise doesn't last long, as Geese tries
another throw. This time he's working on hooking one arm around a leg, the other
around Daigo's chest (well, just below it, actually) and trying to scoop him up
as a prelude to smashing him to the ground once...then picking Daigo up and
throwing him away. That's the ideal situation for Geese, but many possibilities
exist...
COMBATSYS: Geese successfully hits Daigo with Rebound Throw.
[ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > /////////////// ]
Geese 0/-------/----===|=======\=------\1 Daigo
..Unfortunately for Daigo, all those other possibilities fly away like so many
thoughts. Kind of like the wits that get violently smashed out of the Gedo
punk's head, as he's successfully gripped, and then hefted, to be introduced to
the floor not once, but twice! The second time, crash-landing like so many
rocks. It's safe to say that before this fight, Daigo probably had never quite
known what pain could be like. Scar and all, his neck aches like he just went a
round with a mack truck.
Dizzy from the aforementioned throw, Daigo staggers back up to his feet, and
resumes his stance, spitting a thick glob of blood sideways to the arena floor.
Better? Yes. Better than the rumors. So he'll have to get better, too.
Daigo, hopping back into battle to get right up close and personal with the big
Howard once again, this time throwing a low right punch, laced with his own
personal style of orange-tinted chi.
COMBATSYS: Geese blocks Daigo's Phoenix Fist.
[ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > ////////////// ]
Geese 0/-------/---====|=======\==-----\1 Daigo
Geese looks down to the blood Daigo just spit out, and smirks. The sight of it
pleases him, in a very unkind way. But he doesn't get to linger on his
satisfaction for very long, as Daigo's chi-charged fist is going low at him. He
brings an arm low to block...trying to bat the attack aside like he did earlier,
but ends up having to settle for taking a hit to the arm. Still, better than
Daigo pulling a Kojak on him; socking you in the gut and going 'Who loves ya,
baby?'
Then, Geese's arms cross above his head. "Raging..." Hands go down, smashing
through the arena floor with incredible force, "STORM!" That's when a blue
'cage' of chi springs up around him. As close as Daigo is, there's a very real
chance he'll be caught within this effect. What's definite is that the wooden
floor is going to have another huge chunk ripped out of it...good thing Ken
probably has good repair contractors available. He'll need them.
COMBATSYS: Geese successfully hits Daigo with Raging Storm.

Geese 0/-------/-------|>>>>>>>\>>>>>>>\2 Daigo
Maybe it was the dizziness. Maybe the disorientation of his flight. Maybe just
a little bit of bad luck. Whatever it was, Daigo finds himself caught
flat-footed in the middle of a great big blast of chi,
flowing...shredding...pummelling the big 'boy' on all sides, and then casually
blasting what was left of his dizzy consciousness.
Meaning Daigo passes out, long before he hits the ground. Those able to
withstand things like staring into the sun might get an interesting visual in
the few seconds that pass between Daigo standing in front of Geese, and Daigo
hitting the ground, though.
Like the combo that Daigo throws out. The barrage of punches and kicks that
make up his repitoire of fighting moves, in some futile attempt to fight through
the chi-wave, and hit the man behind the power. To give Geese at least a little
taste of something before he fades back into the Would-Be category with the rest
of the tournament chumps.
He tries, at least. And then he falls on his back, his body crackling with
leftover chi. From Geese, and his own Phoenix Fury.

Geese 0/-------/-------|====---\-------\0 Daigo
Nice try. Daigo might make a few steps of headway, but it won't be enough. The
Raging Storm will drive him away, and Geese ends the technique with nary a
scratch. "Heh heh...no fear, even in the face of that, Kazama? I..." His smug
look is replaced with honest respect, "I like that. That was ultimately stupid,
but inventive. For being the first interesting fight since I got here...you have
my thanks. Reppuken." It's said very calmly as he swings his arm upward, sending
a blue wave of chi racing along the ground to try and strike the downed Daigo.
He wants to be sure this fight is over.
COMBATSYS: Daigo blocks Geese's Reppuken.
[ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ < > // ]
Geese 0/-------/------=|======-\-------\0 Daigo
It was a nice try. It's really a shame that it failed. Daigo had lost
consciousness, yes, but the impact of hitting the ground, and the moment of
precious rest between chi blasts awakened the man from what would have been a
peaceful, though soon painful slumber.
Rather than accept the blast of the Reppuken like the prone body he was meant to
be, Daigo...sits up, and throws his arms in front of him to take the brunt of
the blast, which is still powerful enough to knock Daigo flat on his back again,
and darn near all the wind out of him. "Nngh..." ...The Kazama knows he's
beat, but is more than stubborn enough to admit it that easily. He's had
breakfasts longer than this fight. He's going to fight until he blacks out for
good! All that chi. All that pain, and Daigo still manages to struggle to his
feet, and lift his arms in that 'ready' pose, a half-smirk spread on his face.
"...I don't fear you...and I'm not done yet. Try again." Oh he knows he's
pretty much beat to heck, but hey. Kazama's don't quit.
Kinda sad that after getting up like that, all Daigo can do is throw a single
punch. Hey, he's got a new goal now. Just hit Geese once. Preferably, in the
head.

Geese 0/-------/-----==|=======\-------\1 Daigo
"Ha!" Geese walks up to Daigo as he approaches to strike at the face, and
catches the fist with ease. "You should fear me. I respect your efforts, but you
should fear me. I'm nothing like anyone else in this tournament!" Then he tosses
Daigo up a few feet, placing his palms together, and blasting out a blue,
short-range chi shot as Daigo descends. It will probably knock him away, and
Geese smirks at the result. "Give up yet?"
He should. Daigo should just give up, and black out.
Instead, Geese is treated to Daigo getting up /again/, and staggering his way
back into striking range. His face, a grim, though somewhat slack, expression.
"...I...respect your strength..." Dai manages to grunt out, willing himself to
gather together every last bit of strength he has left in him. "...but I
don't...fear you."
Well, as Daigo is feeling his legs start to give out from having to endure so
much punishment and still carry his body around, the Gedo boss summons what
remains of his will, drops to his knees...and focuses. It's easier to focus
when all one sees is black. Easier to ignore Geese's smug look, and the fact
that he's on his last resort. Easy to let his will overcome him, and focus what
he can in his own raging firestorm of chi, exploding up from his body in a vague
shape of the great Phoenix itself, bringing with it waves upon waves of bright
orange 'fire' to radiate out from Daigo's knelt shape.
Whether or not it even makes Geese blink, Daigo falls forward onto his face, his
good eye, closed...

COMBATSYS: Daigo successfully hits Geese with Super Phoenix Fire.

Geese 0/-------/---====|-------\-------\0 Daigo
Geese is in absolute disbelief. "Ridiculous!", is his shout as Daigo gets back
up. He's already smashed this man into the floor twice, struck him with a Raging
Storm, and various other blows. He is absolutely astounded that Daigo is
conscious, let alone mounting an offensive. Geese jumps away from this 'Phoenix'
manifestation...but it overtakes him quickly, and knocks him back. He lands in a
roll, rising easily, but that did some real damage. "Almost like a
zombie...Interesting."
It hurt, but Geese is still in good shape. He leaps at Daigo, only to kill his
momentum in mid-air as he shoves a hand forward. "Shippuken!" The resulting
projectile that shoots out robs Geese of his forward momentum, letting him land
fairly gracefully from mid-jump several feet away. As for the Shippuken itself,
it's aimed at Daigo's noggin. Shut off the brain and you shut off the one that
keeps rising from the 'ashes', so to speak.
COMBATSYS: Geese successfully hits Daigo with Shippuken.

Geese 0/-------/-======|====---\-------\0 Daigo
Daigo's gotta learn to stop blacking out like that. He's going to get seriously
hurt one of these days!
He hit the ground, and again, was jostled enough to snap back to alertness.
Maybe the utter danger of Geese being /right there/ to pound the brain right out
of his skull has something to do with it. Already keen on the last-ditch effort
gig, Daigo manages to get to his feet, and watch Geese, leaping towards him.
About ready to smash his face in. For, like, the fourth time this fight.
And he'll succeed. Daigo will end up taking the brunt of the attack full-on in
the head, and he will likely suffer yet another crushing blow, but not before
he's made the attempt to get his own grip on Geese, and finish out Howard's
momentium...with a suplex into the arena ground. Chances are he's going to
collapse into yet another state of enforced unconsciousness before he gets that
far, but that's just like a Kazama for you. Never knows when to quit.
COMBATSYS: Daigo can no longer fight.
COMBATSYS: Daigo has left the fight here.

Geese 1/-------/=======|
Geese watches Daigo be struck again, and this time he doesn't drop his guard. He
pretty much expected Daigo would get up once more, perhaps rising two or three
more times. And when Daigo attempts to get a grip on him, Geese is ready. "Too
easy!" He grabs one of Daigo's grasping arms, wraps his own other arm around
Daigo's body...picks him up, turns, and then slams him hard to the arena floor.
Right after that, he windmills his arms and crosses them in an X pattern in
front of him. "Excellent..." Geese starts to laugh, "I'll have someone send him
some wine with my compliments!" Not that he's even sure Daigo is of drinking
age, but who cares?
It's over. Geese is a poor sportsman despite his admiration for Daigo's
performance, and doesn't so much as check on Kazama's condition. Instead, he
just starts to walk away...
One too many blows to the head that time. Daigo is more than out for the count.
He's lucky if he wakes up before next week...
