Description: Leona decides she's had juuust about enough of the Mayor's grandstanding. (Winner: Leona)
The first round matches are done and even some of the second round matches have
been completed. Another one of those matches will be completed tonight it seems
as everyone's favorite ex-wrestler turned mayor, Mike Haggar, is set to fight
with the entry that is only introduced as Leona. The blue-haired mercenary is
the first to enter the White Arena, there are more people here than the fight
with Dan, but a good chunk are cheering for her opponent. She has seemed to have
gotten a few fans though that had caught her fighting in the first round. She
stands with arms folded under her chest as she waits for Haggar to make his
entrance.
A large portion of the fans erupt into cheering as Mike Haggar steps in, already
in his fighting outfit, with a towel draped over his right shoulder. As he
passes the exposed bit of the audience on his approach, without taking his eyes
off of Leona, he pulls the towel from his shoulder and tosses it into the
stands. A small scuffle ensues as people break to catch it. Then, he sprints the
rest of the way, leaping into his marked-off box with a shout. Landing with a
crash, the big mayor nods to Leona before settling into his grappling stance.
The roar of the fans seem not to bother Leona's concentration. Dan was a tough
fight and this one won't be any easier for her. She nods slightly in return to
Haggar while she pulls out a ribbon from her jacket pocket and begins to pull
her hair up into a high ponytail. "Mayor Haggar, I will do my best to prove a
worthy opponent." she tells him while lowering her hands from her hair to remove
her earrings. Of course this is a trick she pulled last time, but she hopes
Haggar wasn't watching. She drops one of the earrings into the pocket and then
tosses the other explosive in disguise towards Haggar. "Have a token for the
time we first squared off." she tells him while keeping a straight face. It
seems things will start with a bang. It just remains to be seen if the bang will
hit Haggar or the ground.

Mike Haggar aggravatedly swats at the earring as he starts a bit of a pre-emtive
advance... and grunts as the earring very unexpectedly explodes on him. "Ow!
Damn." He holds his hand, wringing it out and wincing, before straight up
charging Leona. The wrestler clamps his hands together, his face locked in a
grimace as he brings both forearms around hard at Leona's neck. "Let's see if
you have any other tricks I won't see coming."

Okay, so he is angry. It is something that might work to Leona's advantage. She
has the speed advantage, but she also shows she has a good amount of strength
when she brings her arms to deflect the blow upwards and neutralizing the force
of it. She is quick to leap back and put some distance between her and the
hulking mayor again and then reaches in for another gift. This one is not
disguised however. She retracts her hand from the jacket and flings a chi
charged throwing knife right at her opponent.

The mayor of Metro makes a full circle after being deflected, and manages to
bring his arms up in time to negate some of the knife's damage. Only his
nigh-improbable muscles keep it from being any more than a flesh wound.
Regaining his composure from the irritating earring, he steps forward and makes
a small hop, his right foot snapping out as he moves. This one's quick -
Haggar's got to wear her down before pulling anything big out.

Leona frowns slightly when the knife doesn't quite hit its mark. Perhaps he is
quicker than she had thought. She gets prepared for his next attack, but she has
underestimated his speed indeed. His foot goes flying right into her stomach and
the woman staggers back a few steps before she manages to regain her composure.
New change of plans. Watch his movements better. She also takes a new plan of
attack. She rushes right back at Haggar, but she then leaps up right in front of
him and flips around to face his backside when she lands. She then throws her
arms up and then throws them down again as she releases a X-shaped chi blast at
Haggar.

Mike Haggar growls his way through the burst of energy, turning about. When he
saw Leona jump over him, he crouched somewhat, fully expecting another one of
her 'tricks.' He comes out of the blast singed, the back of his single suspender
darkened, and also attempting to bind Leona's arms in his own!
COMBATSYS: Haggar successfully hits Leona with Repeated Headbutts.
Thus entangled, Haggar brings his head back, snapping forward once... twice...
three, no, five times, hard into Leona's own forehead. For the sixth hit, he
almost seems to bend somewhat backwards with the windup, letting go just before
his head connects to knock Leona away.

It doesn't seem that speed is on Leona's side and she is quick to regret getting
in close to fight Haggar. She finds her arms pressed tightly to her sides and
she struggles to get them loose. Then the pain comes in. Her head snaps back
with each headbutt delivered to her and she goes tumbling across the floor of
the arena by the last one. She lays there for a moment, but she then leaps to
her feet and flips backwards while flinging her other earring she hid earlier
and then gets back in her fighting stance.

Some jackass reading a newspaper up at the back of the stands apparently
deems the match unworthy of watching, but just worthy enough of calling out to.
"PICK IT UP, BIG GUY!"
That voice sounds awfully familiar, though, certainly to Haggar and quite
possibly to several other people in the arena.
Mike Haggar tries to dodge out of the way of this earring, but fails
pathetically in doing so. He takes in on the shoulder and stumbles away,
growling. Well, that's enough playing around. Haggar twists on his feet with
remarkable agility, lunging at Leona with those grabbing arms.

With Leona safely seized, Haggar crouches down and launches into the air with a
bellow. He bunches his legs up, positioning his opponent so that, should he land
as he hopes to, her head is going to take quite a thumping. Read - poking out
from the bottom of his mighty legs. The mayor/wrestler vaults himself higher
than most people would dream of leaping, whirling through the air all the while,
before landing very powerfully and dropping Leona. Then he stands and thrusts a
finger up to the crowd. "Hooyeah!"
Leona goes wide eyed at seeing Haggar charge right through the blast and starts
to move back, but once again he seems too quick and he grips her again. She is
manhandled and then thrown hard against the ground. She is face down on the
ground once again and it appears she might be out, but she knows she can keep
going a bit longer. She just can't let something like that happen again. She
leaps to her feet and rears a leg back. "Here we go!" She swings her leg hard at
the mayor. If this succeeds more will follow.

That kick is enough to send the big man into the air and Leona goes into a
series of backflip kicks that juggles Haggar higher and higher. She then
launches herself into the air at his backside and latches on him long enough to
hit him hard with an energy blast that sends her back down to the ground where
she lands in a crouch with a bit of a smirk on her face.
Mike Haggar grunts and brings a hand up to catch that initial kick - but no! His
arm is smacked aside, and then the rest of his body is too, repeatedly and
roughly. Haggar grunts as he hits the ground coupled with the slam, which takes
a second to recover from. He slaps his hand against the ground, pushing himself
up with a very deep frown on his face. "Still got some tricks..." Growling, he
steps forward, bringing both arms forward again. The move comes off much quicker
this time. "I'm going to knock the smirk right off your face."
Leona whips back around to face Haggar once she hears his body hit the ground
and she gets back in her fighting stance. She doesn't give the man a reply,
though. Perhaps she is finally getting under his skin like she had hoped. She
decides to keep on attacking though. It is best not to give him a moments rest.
She runs in and then ducks down low as she whips out a leg in an attempt to
sweep kick him to the ground again.

Mike Haggar steps forward, taking the light blow to his shoulder and clasping
his hands. He takes a quick step forward, snapping his arms at Leona's head
again. The move comes off much quicker this time. "I'm going to knock the smirk
right off your face."

Leona throws her arms up to block the attack, letting his arms slam against her
own. It still hurts like hell when getting hit by someone of his size, but Leona
is good for now. At least she isn't getting thrown about right now. She leaps
backwards to seperate one another again and starts to reach into her jacket as
the distance opens up between them. She slings out another of her chi charged
throwing daggers at the man, aiming low at his legs to hope in slowing him down
just a bit.

Haggar's arms shoot up again, the knife managing to draw a bit more blood this
time as it scrapes his arm and bounces off. This time, he's not even saying
anything, just leaping forward at Leona. His throw is a simple one, an affair of
attempted arm-grabbing, where he'll try to Irish Whip her more or less into the
ground.

Leona is starting to feel more in control now as managing to hit Haggar the past
few times has restored what confidence she had lost. Her movements are very
fluid when the big man rushes her. She easily slips away from the gripping arms
and moves away from his reach. She then thrusts her hands out at the mayor and
creates a green ball of energy which then grows sharp edges from it that lash
out to cut at Haggar.

Mike Haggar steps forward, trying to smash Leona's arms right aside, but he
misjudges the timing of it and gets blown back and cut up by her attack.
Leona goes rushing right in at the fallen mayor. She has played dead before so
she is not going to take a chance with a reputable fighter like Haggar. She
leaps into the air while reaching into her jacket and pulling out a small
explosive stored inside of it. It is almost looks like her earring, but it isn't
disguised. Either way the explosion is still just as bad as the ones of the
earrings. "Here's your parting gift!" she tells him while throwing the explosive
down at him as she passes over him with a jump.

The bomb takes Haggar right off his feet and onto his back this time, almost
sprawling him. The mayor lets out a cry of rage as he kips up, the last dregs of
adrenaline propelling him at Leona with hands clasped above his head. "I am sick
and tired of that damn trick!" He leaps at her, coming down unexpectedly hard,
chopping down just at /her,/ not at any part of her body with both hands. He
lands a short distance past her, down on one knee, hit or miss.

Another smirk comes across Leona's face as her last blow lands. She knows she is
definantly on the winner side of the spectrum at this point and shouts of
Haggar's name can only confirm it. They are wanting a comeback and she isn't
going to allow it. She moves quickly and with the grace of a cat as Haggar comes
in with his last attack and she moves away and deflects the blow away to where
it is rendered ineffective. She then turns to face Haggar and shakes her head.
"Your anger has cost you dearly. It is over. I wish you luck in your future
endeavors." With that she turns and looks to the rather stunned looking crowd
and then starts to head out of the arena and goes to bandage herself up and
prepare for her next fight.
