White Arena
Though the inner arena is the smaller of the two, the White Arena is no
less impressive than its brother the Red Arena, meant more for smaller, more
traditional fights. Spectator seating ranges around the oval fighting arena,
stretching up to top box seats which are built into the ceiling, giving those
that want to pay extra a rare bird's-eye view of the fighting. The lower
seating doesn't suffer though, the architecture carefully designed so that no
seat is too far away. (If you've ever been in an IMAX theater, this is much
the same.)
The fighting arena itself is completely bare of any obstacles or marking,
the floor sanded wood to resemble a dojo and to give fighters proper
traction. As Ken Masters is quite familiar with the power many fighters can
exhibit, the arena is separated from the seating with glass coated to reduce
glare, affording the spectators an excellent yet safe view. At the far ends
of the arena, doors which look like part of the wall when closed allow the
fighters to enter.
The list of matches has been steady and progressive. After Athena's victory
against Ryo Sakazaki in the previous round, another 'big name' match follows it.
Geese vs. Athena, here in a rather plain but large arena.
Geese is already here. He's kneeling down on the arena floor, apparently in deep
thought. A small brown cloak-like cloth is over his shoulders, and he seems
utterly tuned out from the gathering crowds...a crowd that is likely to become
much louder once a certain someone arrives.
Athena steps into the ring more energetically, waiting to the crowd about her as
it picks up in volume. Grabbing her school uniform, she quickly flings it off
to, in a flash, reveal her fighting outfit. Bowing several times to the crowd
before turning to Geese, she then giving him a bow before clutching her hands
close to her chest. "I'm sorry, but... I won't hold back...", she says, before
giving a stern look, or at least the best she can manage.
Geese shrugs the cloak off his shoulders once Athena is done bowing to everyone.
He's nowhere near that polite. "Heh heh..." Standing up, Geese folds his arms
with a slight backwards swagger...almost as if he's not taking Athena seriously.
"Your two friends proved they're losers already, Athena. It doesn't matter if
you're not holding back...I'll be making sure you join the same 'go home crying'
club they did." Definitely a sharp contrast from polite business discussions
they've had in the past.

Athena shifts into her fighting stance. "You're strong, but..." She raises her
hand out. "... heaven is on my side!" And with no real further ado, she strikes
out first - a little unusual for her - as she gathers up pink energy in her
hands, crossing them over to fling a ball of energy towards Geese. "Psycho
Ball!", she calls out, as the protectile dashes across the arena towards the
older man.

Geese runs towards Athena, barking a sharp laugh at Athena's quip about heaven
siding with her. He raises his arms in front of him to simply smash through the
Psycho Ball...it hurts, slows down his run a little, even. But he's still coming
on strong, and attempts a shoulder-ram on Athena. Right after the ram, he'll
jump into the air, and slice his arm out sideways, a blue 'chi blade' going in
front of his hand to cut at Athena.

Athena seems to focus rather than, and only manages a "Telepo-", before then
getting nailed with the strike, it happening too fast for her to evade. She
stumbles back with a soft cry, before then leaning back and lashing out at Geese
with a simple slap, too off-balance to do much else.

Geese lands and raises an arm to block Athena's slap. Fast as it is, it's still
going to do a tad of harm to his arm; it's like having a really fast rubber-band
strike you. That same arm quickly balls back and snaps out in a fast punch at
Athena's face in retaliation. "Tell me...why do you bother with all this love
and justice nonsense?!"

Athena weaves out of the way of the strike, stepping back quickly as she regains
her balance. "Because my friends are important to me... to make the world a
better place... because it makes me strong!" And with that, she steps forward
quickly, doing a high side kick in return. "And to punish evil like you!"

Geese blocks this kick with his forearm as well, but it's a very complete, well
placed block that essentially pushes Athena's kick aside harmlessly. "Ha!" He
reaches out to pick up Athena, in hopes of doing a very light toss into the air
to take her off-balance, "There is no 'evil', just victory or failure.
Immortality or death." Then he thrusts his hands forward, a thin blue,
point-blank chi blast shooting out to try and send Athena sailing back.

Jumping up and back, Athena flips over backwards as she slips away from Geese's
grasp. Landing in a crouch, she says, as if a bit worried, "There's is also
happiness, and sadness..." As she stands, she focuses for a moment, touching her
chest as a pink glow suffusing her momentarily. "... and love!"

love? All I got out of that was a stupid, disrespectful kid." Geese is not
impressed. As Athena begins restoring herself, he leaps at her and then swings a
sharp kick at her shin, hoping to work on chipping away at her main advantage:
speed.

Athena weaves to the side, sidestepping the assault with her speed. With a
frown, she shakes her head for a moment. "That's because all you gave him is
hate...!" She then leans forward, lashing out with a straight punch aimed at the
solar plexus.

Geese crouches low, reaching up to catch Athena's fist. "I taught him how to
fight, I taught him how to succeed in life..." Geese swings a sharp foot-sweep
at Athena's legs, kicking them out from under her. "He had it all. I'm through
caring about him, but I can't stop thinking that prattle like yours influenced
him." Geese stands back up, glaring down at Athena... "It's too bad you're like
this. I could use someone as fast as you working for me."
Athena glares up at Geese's words, but then quickly rolls to her feet. "You must
be very lonely, Geese... but I can't feel sorry for you!" She then suddenly
slides back on her heels, she let's out a "Psycho Shoot!", as she thrust out
both palms, gathering up and firing off psycho energy like a cannon. The larger
psycho ball ripples the floor it travels over, its strength causing a notable
distortion in the air.

"They say it is lonely at the top of the world...and that's where I am." Geese
braces for this impact, the large ball smashing into his arms and bowling him
back several steps. "But your pity is misplaced. Save it for your loser
friends." Geese can leap pretty far when he wants to, and vaults to land in
front of Athena. His hand reaches out to grab at her throat, which he intends to
lift her by, and slam her head into the arena floor.

Caught and choked, Athena is lifted overhead, but suddenly kicks out, breaking
loose of the grip before being brained. As she flips over, she tries to grab
Geese's hand... hoping to snag him and take him down with his own momentum.
Apparently, she's improvising a bit.

That's a pretty fancy move, but it works to some extent. Geese's hand is grabbed
and he's slung to the ground, but rolls right out of it with only minor
scratches to show for it. "Weak. Just weak." A snapped kick at Athena's hip
follows his criticism, too.

Athena jumps over the kick, lashing out with her knee swiftly towards Geese's
jaw. She's responding too fast to reply to Geese's insults, apparently trying to
get some breathing room between her and her larger opponent... to get the fight
back on her pace.

A clean hit. Geese's head is knocked up and back, sending him reeling. He's been
smug for most of this battle, but he runs a hand across where he was struck, and
then balls that hand into a fist. He's angry now. "Enough playing around. You
don't have that human handicap with you this time...it's like discarding an
anvil before mountain-climbing." Geese takes one long step in at Athena, and
puts a very slight spin on his hop towards her after that, his right leg aiming
to kick high into her chest. It's a wide, telegraphed kick, but if it hits...

"Sorry.", Athena says with a smile... is that insincerity? Taking discretion
before valor, there's a "~Telepoooort~!", as Athena vanishes out of the kick's
path entirely, her blurred form passing through Geese, before appearing behind
him and lashing out with an elbow, trying to knock Geese on the other side of
his head.

Geese doesn't even have to look to know where Athena went after his kick fails
to connect. "Heh heh..." Geese turns right around to catch Athena's elbow,
tossing her a couple feet into the air, and letting her descend into the path of
a point-blank chi blast that knocks her away. "That stupid kid of mine tries the
same thing, every single time. Go past the attack and attack from
behind...predictable." He's still pretty mad from being struck in the chin, but
it's starting to be tempered by his ego once again.
Athena is battered again, blown back, sliding on her feet as she winces,
breathing hard. She frowns to Geese, glaring, and pauses, as if realizing
something. "... the match with Rock is over... but you're still fighting him..."
She then crosses her arms in the familiar motion, letting out a second "Psycho
Ball!", the energy crackling as it whisks towards Geese.

"You're pretty much him, minus a few inches here, plus a few inches there..."
Geese sails right over the Psycho Ball in the same motion he leaps towards
Athena, foot already extended. It won't have the force a more conventional air
kick might, but he has the advantage of knowing precisely where his foot is
going; he's targeting Athena's collarbone area. "All that melodrama, I AM
fighting the same moron twice!"

Athena gets nailed, stumbling back as she touches the injured area, and then
looks up at Geese suddenly, her hair flicking out of her face with the motion.
Her look is determined as he comes in close. and suddenly, her hair continues to
fly up as she plants her feet on the ground, spreading her hands slightly as her
pink psycho energy curls into blue, and it forms into two spheres. The rapid
orbits of the energy sweep towards Geese as Athena unleashes the full extent of
her power with a cry, dust and loose dirt spraying away in a wave across the
ring.

Geese is too close, much too close to be ready for something that fast. He tries
to defend himself, but the orbiting 'bits' swing past his defenses and smash him
away, only for Geese to stand up several feet away. The ego is gone. Completely
gone, he was knocked around much too hard by that to even make a pretense of
arrogance now. He's furious. "Enough of this!"
Then Geese charges Athena, a headlong, enraged dash to get up close to her and
grab on. He's going to fling her straight up towards the ceiling, and if he gets
it, he'll be waiting for her descent...smashing his palms into her to drive her
into the other side of the arena wall.

Grabbed, Athena is battered against the ceiling and then against the wall,
slumping to her knees. Her hair falls over her face, and she's looking like
she's barely hanging in here. Looking up to Geese, however, a flash of psycho
energy, though, she flows to her feet - and even seems to float a bit - as pink
psycho energy suffuses her being.

Geese isn't relenting. He knows Athena can get back on her feet with that
energy...and it's likely he won't get there in time to stop it. But he can
certainly try to undo her own results, and that's what he's after. Stopping to
kick out a small part of the arena floor, Geese picks up a fragment of the wood
he's just damaged, and rushes forward to try and clock Athena in the head with
it. An improvised clue-by-four, in effect.

Athena comes out of her quick trance, saying, "Give me strength, everybody...",
as she looks to the crowd for a moment. And then leaps up in the air suddenly
towards Geese, before... is that...
At the apex of her leap, her energy flairs up blue again, and she actually halts
in midair, her legs together and her arms wide as the spheres orbit once more.
This time, though, it's too high to possibly strike Geese, but then the spheres
roll together, merging. Catching the energy on a single finger, Athena then
continues to hover before then pointing at Geese, sending the energy heading
towards hin in a weaving pattern. As it comes close to the ground, the arena
floor actually shatters in its path, sending dust and debris up as gravity
begins to take hold on Athena once more.

Sakura had actually been wanting to get in a few fights, what with all the other
people gathered here, but wouldn't dare miss the chance to catch Athena in
action against such a formidable opponent as Geese. She's been cheering the
whole time, but when Athena seems to be concentrating, the schoolgirl shouts
even more loudly! "GO ATHENA!"
Geese tries to interrupt Athena's crowd-appeal, running in....only to be met
with the orbiting balls. He's ready for those. He is perfectly ready for those.
..He does not get them. They change into one larger, direct projectile that
smashes into his chest. It utterly destroys his momentum, knocking him down to
one knee. He's...glaring right at Athena, a visage of rage, hatred. His anger
grows as the crowd continues to cheer Athena...and then he takes to the skies
once more, coming down with a series of palm-thrusts aimed at Athena's face.
Those looking closely may notice once he lands however, that his guard isn't
quite as solid as it was earlier...something's not quite right about his stance
now.

Athena slips from side to side and backs up, the blows striking nothing but hair
as she barely avoids the attacks, seeming rather winded herself at this point.
Backing up, she seems to fall back for a moment, lowering her stance, and then,
suddenly, there's the cry of "Psycho Swooooord!" as Athena flies upward,
gathering her energy in a palm in an attempt to knock Geese up and away.

Geese looked about ready to fall over after his failed palm strikes. But he
suddenly snaps to attention as Athena gets out of the way, and crouches, arms in
front of him. Athena's rising energy slash looks ready to knock him down, but he
withstands it, barely. "Raging..." Geese shoots back up, hands raised and
crossed over his head. "STOOORM!" Then his hands SLAM into the ground, hard
enough to make the wood splinter in several directions. A 'cage' of blue chi
rises around him, high into the air. His hope is that Athena will land on it as
she descends from her Psycho Sword, which should batter her quite severely.

Athena falls, and... well, where else is there to go but the eye of the storm?
Before she falls into the pillars of azure power, she curls into a ball, calling
out, "Phoenix!", as a field of her power surrounds her. Then, she rolls down at
Geese at an angle, threading the needle as she calls out, "Arrow!", flying
directly at him.

Geese is enraged. He punches the ground again as his Storm fails to swat Athena
out of the air. But he doesn't have too long to go beating up inanimate objects,
as Athena's flying down at him. Geese makes a lunging backstep out of Athena's
landing path, safe for now. But as Athena lands, he tries to reach out and get
his hands on her, in order to bring her up, and smash her down to the arena
floor.

Athena is caught, but suddenly her hair flies up as she roots herself to the
earth with a burst of psycho power, breaking the grab... though at the price of
power she has little left of. Focusing her power again, she calls out, "Psycho
Shoot!" as she jackknifes slightly, sliding back on her heels as she tries to
nail the older fighter point-blank, apparently desperate to drive him away at
this point.

Geese makes a swift spin out of the way of Athena's close-range blast. No words
now. Just a strong desire to crush Athena and make her stop moving. Towards that
end, he's coming out of his spin in a swift fist at her face. Not quite a
jab...more firm than that, but similar in utility.

Athena has slow to the point she gets nailed, reeling and stumbling for a moment
before then lashing out in return with another fast slap like earlier, leaning
in to try and whack Geese with the open-handed strike.

Geese is content to let this degenerate into a point-blank slugging match. And
why not? It favors him. He does nothing about Athena's slap, even though it
knocks his head sideways a little. But even as Athena's slap connects, his fist
attempts to once again strike in a solid 'jab', this one aimed at her
solar-plex; he wants to knock Athena over and get this finished with, now.

Athena spins in place, winding out of the way of the attack, her psycho energy
seeming spent for the moment. As she turns, her leg lashes out in a swift
roundhouse, trying to catch Geese in the side as her hair flows behind her,
strands flickering with motion.

Geese abandons the idea of a slugging match quickly, mostly because Athena's
doing the same thing. It's not a slugging match if your opponent is getting out
of the way of your strikes. Once more, he's caught Athena's attack...and this
time there's no toss, he just shoves her back and puts his palms together for an
energy-blast up close, sending her reeling back. Geese falls to one knee again
after that, it took pretty much everything he had left in him to do that...but
the technique itself was executed with incredible precision despite his
condition. He's just drawing breaths now.
Athena is nailed, but digs the balls of her feet in to keep from getting knocked
back, crying out as she withstands the attack, and then lunges with a simple
open-palm strike aimed at Geese's nose in a desperate move. Whatever the
outcome, she reels forward, easy prey for any attack that should follow her own.

Geese manages to turn his head aside to take the palm on the cheek, rather than
on the nose. He's still standing though...well, crouching, but eventually he
pushes back up to his feet, proving that he can still fight. Stepping up to
Athena, he balls his right arm back, and then smashes it forward in a sort of
'forward hammer punch', right into Athena. It will be enough to take her down
and make her stay down. "See? I......" he's short on breath, robbing his speech
of some of its weight, "...told you that you'd be joining your friends in the
losers club." Windmilling his arms above him, then ending them in a crossed
pattern in front of his chest, Geese manages to focus enough to have the stamina
to walk out of the arena...but just barely.
Athena crumples and falls over, slumping down with little further ado. Her hair
spills out across the floor, and apparently she's throughly out for the night,
folks.
